How about 4, 8 and 13 for the fandom asks?

4. Pairing that makes no sense to you? Oof this is very hard because I am extremely open-minded when it comes to ships and think they all have their right to exist in a judgefree zone... (probably bc I come from a time where even fandom crossover ships and crackships were absolutely normal, heh.)

But well, if I had to decide, I would probably go for a pairing that I couldn't see myself explore the way fandom does, and so I would likely settle on Nivansfield / Chris & Piers. I need to get into the nitty gritty of it at some point but to put it very simply - I think Piers acts incredibly toxic and inconsiderate towards Chris and I have a great dislike about the way they are always portrayed as a fluff ship instead of leaning into the unhealthy dynamic. Which.... now that I think of it, pretty much answers the questions, as making them fluffy doesn't make sense to me I suppose :'D

Also I... hm. I don't dislike Rinoa and Squall as a ship (not at all, on the contrary), but I would prefer their relationship to be explored more thoroughly. The two of them were so young when they got close, Squall fell pretty hard for her as soon as she became a sorceress (which would make for an incredibly interesting plot point in and on itself that I want to explore some time), and they are pretty much what I would call a "teenage love". They usually don't last, and if they do, they have to work through a lot of shit. I want to see the darker sides of that.

Generally, I do understand where the desire of having fluff ships comes from, but a lot of them don't make sense to me. (Wesker being too fluffy without any explanation as to why on earth he would act like that is another ick for me)

8. Fandom you're a part of that's the most obscure? Final Fantasy VIII for sure, the game is now almost 26 years old and has no remake (and probably will never get one), so there is not that much attention there sadly.

I'd also count in Outlast, although the whole franchise got a bit more traction since Outlast Trials was released.

Angel Sanctuary is pretty much dead in the water (I need to create something for that sometime tbh) - but I haven't truly been active there for many years either.

13. Fandom you've been a part of the longest? That would be a tie between Resident Evil and Final Fantasy VIII I think. I'm not exactly sure when I got into Angel Sanctuary; it's said to have been released first in 1995 but I don't think we got it translated in German then. I was definitely around 12 or 13 when I read it and that was around 2001.

So yeah both aforementioned games released in 1998/1999 so it's those :)

We all just wanna be FREE

The CFO of a huge global telecom company told me something "too real" (as many would say) today.  He said: "Necessity is the Mother of Invention"  We were conversing on life, family, money and FRIDAY not coming soon enough & He expressed how his college roommate makes 6 MIL a year and he ONLY makes 1.2 MIL. I stared at this dude SO HARD.. like really? You're complaining SON?? But, I understood him more when he spoke of how "comfortably unhappy" he is, how he can't even take a week off, and how his then-roommate only makes that money because he caught a felony charge for sexual assault in college, had his back against the wall, couldn't get a job, and ended up with so much time to think, he thought of a magnificent plan.  Now, Dude works 4 months out of the year, and banks 6 mil... This led me to think as I recently posted that a lot of young people find an identity in money, and have forgotten the truth of who they are, and their roots. I stand by that. I also think that the bottom line is, we all want to fend for ourselves, we wanna work for ourselves, answer to no-one but ourselves.. and unleash the potential that we have within us. That's the ROOT of MY desires/goals.  Yes, I like having nice things, but things are just THINGS. However, I do LOVE traveling, being spontaneous, working on my laptop at a Starbucks, managing projects, shopping just because, putting money in my grandmothers mailbox, or dozing off while watching a Scandal marathon in my snuggie & doing that when I want, with whom I want for as long as I want. These are things that a typical 9-5 doesn't always allow. So, I'm choosing to work hard for the "job" that will allow me to do these things and its an added plus that this "JOB" is also my passion... cuz if there's one thing I'm passionate about, it's music.  So don't think I don't see thru these thugged out/gangsta/hustler dudes and these stripper/"idc attitude" women.  I see your vision, you just want FREEDOM... you don't wanna be one more in the bunch. I guess we're one in the same, just got different ways.  So, do what you do.  SAVE YOURSELF.
