NUMEROLOGY NOTES
tw - addiction, mental health issues
Tumblr media
ੈ✩‧₊˚ if i could choose one number to be i would wanna be a life path 5 bc they live such fun lives (as long as they don’t have other energies in their bday that r hard such as 11, 22, etc). 5’s r usually attractive, charming, have good luck, good health, r smart, and r fun to be around
ੈ✩‧₊˚ with an 11 attitude/talent number (month + day) u will be someone who has a lot of artistic talent. u may come off as someone who’s emotional, an old soul, and someone who is direct. these ppl make amazing actors, artistic, singers, athletes, and social media influencers/creators. they have a star-like quality to them - example: tara yummy
*ੈ✩‧₊˚ it may come as a shock, but many master numbers r actually soulless. for context: not everyone has a soul according to matrix theory. there r npc’s everywhere. they could even be in ur family
*ੈ✩‧₊˚ ppl born on 25 days can act a bit chaotic mentally when at a lower vibration due to mental health issues. this isn’t a bias of mine it’s very common and known among many numerologists
ੈ✩‧₊˚ ppl born on april 14th 1998 r usually extremely attractive and seductive. they have a charm that can help them a lot in life. especially in their career/workplace. when they’re at a lower vibration they may struggle with things like addiction
ੈ✩‧₊˚ ppl born on october 13th 2002 often have a lot of influence over ppl and can be amazing leaders when they’re at a higher vibration. when they’re at a lower vibration tho they tend to be followers, sometimes in a bad way
ੈ✩‧₊˚ ppl born on october 9th r bad b*tches. they r not ppl u wanna mess w bc they’re not afraid to put their foot down or cut someone off if they need to. they r a bit sensitive still tho. random but they usually have good eyebrows also
ੈ✩‧₊˚ ppl born on july 8th 2002 would benefit from starting their own online business and could be very successful in a career where they’re their own boss. the downside to this bday is these ppl have a lot of negative karma to work thru (which i plan on making a post abt how to heal)
ੈ✩‧₊˚ ppl born on july 29th have a LOT of charisma. they have an addicting energy that makes everyone wanna be their friend. the downside to this is they may still feel lonely regardless of the amount of friends they have. these ppl r extremely spiritual also
ੈ✩‧₊˚ people born on june 18th 2005 r extremely wise ppl, especially spiritually. they r very powerful as well and can become very successful in life. they make rly good friends when at a higher vibration

New collaboration with Loft & Amnibus was announced for Digimon Adventure!
Details about exact merch will follow soon, but the tweet states that the concept was decided by keeping the idea of 25th Anniversary in focus but the art itself is flower + wedding outfit themed. The collab will start in June which is considered a good month for brides in Japan and so we see many wedding themed anime illustrations get released during this time every year.
Now it is time for another certified Ayushi breakdown 🫡
Tumblr media
Taichi and Agumon are seen holding Edelweiss, with a pattern of the flower drawn beautifully on Taichi's shirt as well. Edelweiss in Japanese Language of Flowers (Hanakotoba) is meant to symbolise 'cherished memories/大切な思い出' and 'courage/勇気', while in Western Language of Flowers it's meant to symbolise 'noble courage' and 'daring' - both of which are apt for our best leader 🧡
Tumblr media
Yamato and Gabumon are seen holding Alstroemeria (Lily of the Incas, Peruvian Lily), and while the flower motif is not drawn onto his clothes, Yamato's coat's breast pocket is decorated with the flower as well. In Hanakotoba, Alstroemeria is meant to symbolise 'persistence/持続' or 'longing for the future/未来への憧れ', while in Western Language of Flowers it's meant to symbolise 'friendship' and 'devotion'. All meanings are apt for him imo, but especially persistence and longing for the future are very representative of his arc from the first series till Kizuna.
Tumblr media
Sora and Piyomon are seen with Pink Carnations, with the neckline of Sora's jumpsuit lined with a bunch of the flowers. I personally love the visual of Sora in this pink jumpsuit, it plays into her slightly tomboyish yet extremely gentle personality so well! In Hanakotoba carnations symbolise 'innocent and deep love/無垢で深い愛' and pink carnations specifically symbolise 'love of a woman/女性の' 'passionate love/熱愛' and "beautiful gesture/美しいしぐさ'. In Western Language of Flowers carnations symbolise 'fascination' and love'. All meanings are pretty accurate for Sora, but red carnations are used to symbolise Mother's love in Japan so it would've been nice if they threw in a mix of red and pink to hint at her relationship with her mother!
Tumblr media
Koushiro and Tentomon are seen holding Violet Sage, which at first glance I thought was Lavender. The flower pattern is also visible on his waistcoat and bowtie, which ties together his outfit very nicely! In Hanakotoba, Sage seems to have many symbolisations, 'respect/尊敬', 'wisdom/知恵', 'good home/良い家庭', and 'family love/家族愛'. But Blue (Violet) Sage specifically signify respect and wisdom. In Western Language of Flowers, Sage symbolises 'esteem', 'wisdom' and 'domestic virtue'. Again, a perfect choice for Koushiro, I personally would prefer to believe that they picked this not because of his crest but because of 'good home' and 'family love' since that part of Koushiro's arc in the first series was probably the most impressionable aspect of his character.
Tumblr media
Mimi and Palmon are seen holding baby's breath, with Mimi's dress covered in a pattern of it. Even keeping my bias towards Mimi aside, this is possibly one of the prettiest outfit of hers till date, it genuinely looks like she's about to walk down the aisle as a flower girl for a very happy couple! In Hanakotoba, Baby's Breath or Kasumisou, symbolises 'pure heart/清らかな心', 'innocence/無邪気', 'kindness/親切', and 'happiness/幸福'. In Western Language of Flowers it symbolises 'everlasting love', 'purity of heart', and 'innocence'. All meanings apply to Mimi to the T, but they're also very apt for the whole wedding theme of the merch which makes this particular outfit + flower choice my favourite from the lot.
Tumblr media
Jou and Gomamon are seen holding Violets or Sumire. I honestly struggled to figure out the flower for a while, at first glance I thought it was Periwinkle but since that was not mentioned in the Hanakotoba reference anywhere, I searched other people's interpretations and settled with Violets. His tie also has a cute pattern of the flower, and it makes me wonder if Koushiro and Jou went shopping for their outfits together! In Hanakotoba, Sumire symbolise 'modesty/謙虚', 'sincerity/誠実', and 'small happiness/小さな幸せ'. Depending on the colour, the symbolism can change in Hanakotoba, and purple Violets specifically represent 'fidelity' along with 'love'. In Western Language of Flowers it symbolises 'modesty' and 'faithfulness'. This is as Jou as a flower can get lol.
Tumblr media
Takeru and Patamon are seen with White Gerberas. Like Yamato, Takeru's outfit doesn't have a pattern of the flower, but the Gerberas themselves are pinned to his suspenders. In Hanakotoba, Gerbera symbolises 'hope/希望' and 'always moving forward/常に前進'. White Gerbera specifically are used to symbolise 'hope' and 'honesty/律儀'. In Western Language of Flowers it is meant to symbolise 'cheerfulness' and 'beauty'. All meanings are accurate for Takeru, no comment needed!
Tumblr media
Hikari and Tailmon are seen with Sunflowers. I personally feel that Hikari's outfit is a little too much compared to the rest, just the sunflower belt would've been enough but they added that extra line at the hem and it's kind of an overdose. In Hanakotoba, Sunflowers symbolise 'I gaze only at you/私はあなただけを見つめる', 'adoration/愛慕', and 'worship/崇拝'. In Western Language of Flowers, it symbolises 'adoration' and 'false riches'. I understand that they wanted to go with a bright or perky flower for Hikari but something like a Pink Aster which symbolises patience or Cosmos which symbolises harmony, peace etc. might suit Hikari better given the overall theme of the illustration. The only miss in the otherwise perfectly depicted theme and art!

I see your point about June (and June is my favorite too). And I've definitely seen people headcanoning trans boy John out of really blatant spite, and complaining about June in a way that felt extremely pointed, like her mere existence is an insult and a source of hurt.
Buuuut on the other hand, many people loved transfem Roxy for a long time before the Epilogues, and I think it's fine and fair for them (... okay, us) to feel fleetingly disappointed that Roxy is transmasc in the Epilogues. I also think it's fine and fair to continue headcanoning Roxy as transfem, because the Epilogues were very explicitly in-text framed as one possible continuation out of many. I won't lie, I just love that t4t f/f Roxygen.
So my line of thinking is, it's probably still fine and fair to also love trans guy John, if people are inclined that way. It's more about the way that they do it? If you're finding yourself framing June as some kind of invasion on your holy safe space by the mean and terrible new writers of Homestuck, you need to take a step back and reexamine the transmisogynist bias there, and most importantly you need to stop being so goddamn rude to the people making art that just isn't for you. But on the other hand, I think simply ignoring the Epilogues and doing your own thing with trans boy John and his shaving cream trauma, that to me is perfectly in line with - and in fact respectful of - the spirit of the Epilogues.
(Similarly, I don't think it'd be bad to do a reading of the TUA comics where Vanya is a trans girl; I don't even think it'd be bad to write an AU genderswap of the TUA show universe where Viktor is a trans girl, though I'd greatly prefer if other characters' gender was changed too in that case.) (For example, I'd enjoy a full swap where A and V Hargreeves were the only "boys" growing up, and then V transitions and A is left all alone with his masculinity and he lets it steep into resentment. Also, sometimes you want trans girls with violins blowing up the world.)
Right, I hear what you’re saying but I think there’s a couple of key differences here
First of all, we know for a fact that Roxy being transmasc was prompted by a transmasc writer who was repeatedly & horribly transmisogynistic about transfem headcanons, so I don’t think it’s too much of a stretch to assume that he really did specifically hate transfem Roxy headcanons out of spite so much that he made it an impossible reading in both timelines. But even then — I do think that if somebody specifically just decided Roxy is transfem and everything else from the Epilogues is the same (or magically headcanoned away as making sense somehow) then they would be intentionally misunderstanding & rejecting the text too. Like, that’s ok, that’s literally what a large part of fandom is, but the reasons for doing this are not neutral, and they reflect hegemonies & wider values.
In the case of transfem Roxy the point is to pointedly reject something we think is transmisogynistic — we have been teased with transfem Roxy for years, it’s an obvious & clear reading of her relationship to Callie in Act 6, and so I think it’s a legitimate criticism of the Epilogues. Meanwhile, there straight has not been years of hints for transmasc John, in fact, to headcanon June as transmasc you have to pointedly ignore her already extant queer narrative.
I also think you either misunderstand or are intentionally misunderstanding how alternate realities work in The Homestuck Epilogues & Homestuck Beyond Canon. They are not just one continuation out of many — there is only the two as far as I’m aware. I’m not up to date with HSBC but it’s my understanding that reality was cleft in two.
i agree with you on the Umbrella Academy! because this is something that has been like rebooted to switch things up, those characters are gonna get remixed. i’d love to see a transfem Vanya somewhere down the line. but if i only blogged about the tv show and i was constantly & loudly explaining how i prefer transfem Vanya and how she should be transfem in the show then I think that would obviously be in poor taste.
i think what bothers me is the boldness of so many men to be like “idk i just prefer this as a man character” right in the replies of posts where transfems are gushing about/sharing their transfem headcanons. I can’t even talk about June being trans without a few people saying that, and that’s actually confirmed as 100% happening, so it’s even more impossible to escape with like transfem Link headcanons etc.
i think all in all, transmascs, trans boys & trans men should try and leave more space for their sisters in the community. it is not subversive to wish every character was a man. just misogynistic. leave room for transfems, trans girls & trans women in fandom and beyond, folks.

The finale of DuckTales is deeply flawed
I don’t know if I’m alone in thinking this, but I’ve always wanted to explain this to someone.
It’s not all bad. It’s actually an enjoyable watch, it’s fun and charming like most episodes are. The animation is incredible, even more so then it usually is, there’s lots of great moments that are really beautiful. I also enjoy a fair few of the plot moments, the one that stands out most to me is Scrooge immediately surrendering to Bradford the second he threatens to kill Donald, saying “it’s not worth the risk.” Really, all of Bradford’s eventual surrender to petty villainy is well done.
I will likely end up making a post talking more in-depth about why the finale is great, but that is not this post. This post is strictly about the flaws in the plot of the finale.
A few important notes:
I am not a genius media critic, I’m an asshole on Tumblr. This is entirely my opinion and if you love this episode/this one is your favorite I am genuinely happy for you. I understand that it can suck to have someone criticize your favorite piece of media, and if you don’t want to hear this then I don’t want you to hear it either. (/gen)
I, as a person, am very resistant to change. I find it difficult to cope with extreme changes to form in the media I love. I tried to look at this from a non-biased perspective, and I think I did a good enough job, but I’m sure my personal bias slipped through the cracks very frequently.
The very final episode made me cry, despite all this. I cried because the end credits were so sweet and I cried because it was over. I was watching the end credits and I cried. So, that’s something.
I will refer to the three part finale as “The episode” throughout, because this is the easiest way for me to understand it. I will specify if I am talking about a specific part, but for the most time it is just “This Episode” or “The finale”
Actual Episode Criticism:
I think May and June were a terrible idea. I think that the reveal that Webby is a F.O.W.L clone of Scrooge was also a terrible idea. I think the episode has too many plot twists and characters thrown in and it means hardly anything truly meaningful happens.
I believe that May and June were a harmful addition to the finale and the overall canon of the show. Strictly speaking from a finale perspective, they are completely new characters who take up a large portion of the finale of a show, especially in the first part. The episode should not have centered around new characters, but instead been a grand final adventure with the existing characters all having their moments, but especially showcasing the McDucks.
They divert so much of the time of the episode away from other characters that nobody else really gets to shine. Huey, Dewey and Louie sort of get replaced by Webby, May and June. They feel like the new triplets because it’s literally Webby and two clones of her. However, instead of being three distinct personalities, they’re all just literally clones of Webby, personality and all. I have nothing against Webby, but I don’t think having three of her running around taking up 60% of screen time in the finale was good.
The “Webby is a Scrooge Clone” thing is dumb as hell. Especially because Webby calls Scrooge “Dad” at the end of the end of the episode. I’ll get in to this more in a second, but it sort of shits on the message that family isn’t blood. I don’t think Webby needs to see Scrooge as a father. It also doesn’t make sense that they made her a girl, even though trans Scrooge/Webby is a good thought, it’s not canonical.
This is also another twist that they shouldn’t have thrown in last second, because it’s such a large idea to flesh-out. I’m glad they kept it for the finale though, strictly because I would not have enjoyed the arc of Scrooge and Webby being Father/Daughter. Especially because it doesn’t make sense, like if May and June are “sisters” to Webby and they’re clones of her, wouldn’t Scrooge be more like a brother? At least save Webby calling him “Uncle Scrooge” for this grand moment at the end, if you’re going to go to this terrible twist.
These two plots shit directly on the face of whatever message the show was saying up to that point, that “Family is just the people who love you.” Because when May and June show up, Webby immediately begins calling them her sisters because they have the same blood as her. She goes directly against the wishes of the people who, up to that point, were her actual family. Just for two girls who are F.O.W.L spies and who she doesn’t know.
Webby being genetically identical to Scrooge also flies in the face of this a little, because it makes it so that the Papyrus appearing to her, and Webby and Scrooge being family, arguable as being because they are genetically related. This is not the point the show is trying to make, but it still is an argument to be made. Why do they have to be biologically related at all? Why can’t they just be family?
Especially because this show had, for a while, done such a good job portraying non-standard family dynamics. An uncle raising his sister’s kids? A grandmother raising her (adopted) granddaughter? Both in non-standard environments? We don’t often see things like this casually portrayed. But with the return of Della and the Dad-ification of Scrooge it almost feels like they’re saying families aren’t complete without a mom or a dad. Even though they aren’t saying that, it’s still there.
Gosh this post is getting long. Last thing, nobody gets any screen time. So many characters are in this episode, and they had 60 minutes to use them all, but so much of it was dedicated to Webby, May and June that it’s nearly impossible for anybody else to get a complete arc. Webby and Huey are separated from the rest of the McDucks for a while, which would be fine except they don’t even really get a proper reunion. Webby doesn’t get one at all, and Huey gets a quick “I’m so happy to see you, I used your book to find you.” Before they are immediately captured again. Most of the cast actually spends a large portion of the part just before the climax in cells, not being a part of the action.
I mean, Gyro has a few references yo feeling like he’s “losing his touch” before it’s never a big deal again. Della is mad that Donald is leaving but they don’t ever talk about it and then Della just decides it’s okay. Donald never interacts with May and June before deciding to take them on his boat with Daisy. B.O.Y.D, Goaslyn, Violet and Lena don’t really do anything at all, except for B.O.Y.D and Lena having some plot point that no one else really would have been able to do (Reprogramming the Gizmoduck armor and making the ship invisible.) I think that the addition of these characters feels forced, when they should have been a natural addition to a grand adventure finale.
Overall:
May and June are unnecessary and hinder the other characters relationships and I don’t think Webby should be genetically related to Scrooge because then it feels less like “Found Family”. I think nobody gets enough screen time except Webby and her clones, but I don’t think they should have been the focus of the episode.
I’m sorry this post was so long, remember that I don’t hate watching this episode. I just think that the finale of my favorite cartoon should have been handled better.

Key findings on Nawaf Salam’s bias against Israel:
During his time as Lebanon’s representative to the UN, Salam voted to condemn Israel 210 times.
These resolutions contained one-sided denunciations of Israel, and gave a free pass to Hamas. For example, in December 2008, Salam voted for a resolution that accused Israel of “acts of terror, provocation, incitement and destruction” against Palestinians, yet made no mention of Hamas or Islamic Jihad.
Another resolution that Nawaf supported, in 2017, accused Israel of “systematic violation of the human rights of the Palestinian people,” and “causing death and injury to Palestinian civilians, including children, women and non-violent, peaceful demonstrators.”
In his speeches to the UN, Salam also made many inflammatory statements that demonstrate extreme bias against Israel. In January 2008, Salam accused “terrorist Jewish organizations” of committing “massacres.” He also said that Gaza was an “open air prison.” CLICK FOR VIDEO
In a November 2008 UN speech, Salam said the “supreme Zionist leadership” pursued a plan of “ethnic cleansing” through “terrorism and organized massacres.”
In November 2009, Salam told the UN General Assembly that “for too long [Israel’s] war criminals have benefited from impunity”; and Israel was guilty of “flagrant disrespect for international law.” CLICK FOR VIDEO
In 2011, he accused Israel of “illegitimate actions.”
On June 13, 2014, Salam accused Israel of “crimes against humanity” and “war crimes.” CLICK FOR VIDEO
On June 18, 2014, Salam opposed the candidacy of Israel to the vice-presidency of the General Assembly’s Fourth Committee, on the grounds that it is “the most condemned country” at the General Assembly and that it continues to “violate the rules of the international community.” Salam said that Israel was not eligible for election “to any office” at the UN.
On numerous occasions, including November 2016, Salam has accused Israel of “apartheid.” CLICK FOR VIDEO
Salam has also repeatedly attacked Israel on social media. In 2015, on Twitter he called Israel a “Triumph of blatant racist & colonialist choices.”
In 2016, in reference to the 2006 war launched by Hezbollah, Salam accused Israel of using “the most vicious & disgusting weapons of all times.” He never once condemned Hezbollah for launching the war, or for attacking Israeli civilians with thousands of rockets. On the contrary, Salam inverted the cause of the war, writing falsely that it was Israel that “launched a 33 day war against my country…”

Evan Urquhart at Assigned Media:
A shakeup at two major news outlets in the US would bodes poorly for Americans interested in factual, responsible coverage of issues relating to the trans community in the mainstream press. Two British men associated with anti-trans culture war publications will take top jobs in US media, according to news reports. In a hurried announcement memo that went out to Washington Post staff on June 2, publisher William Lewis announced that Robert Winnett of the conservative Daily Telegraph/Sunday Telegraph newspaper would take over leadership of the Washington Post’s core newsroom after the election, following the abrupt resignation of Suzy Buzbee, the previous editor-in-chief. Then, on June 4, Daily Beast CEO Ben Sherwood announced the replacement of editor-in-chief Tracy Connor with Hugh Dougherty, formerly of the New York Post.
Anti-trans bias is ubiquitous throughout print journalism in the UK, so the installation of two British editors would be of note regardless of which publications they’d previously helmed. However, in a news environment flooded with false, malicious, and misleading stories demonizing transgender people in the UK, the Telegraph may be second only to the Daily Mail in its obsessive focus on pushing an anti-trans culture war. Already, on Wednesday morning, the Telegraph has published 10 articles and opinion columns, all negative, relating to the trans community this week.
The New York Post, a right-leaning tabloid, is little better, though its obsession with trans issues has cooled somewhat from a peak last year). [...] These sorts of extremely misleading stories have largely been confined to the right-wing press in the United States, except in the case of the New York Times, the one mainstream US newspaper that has repeatedly found creative ways to distort news stories and mislead readers in news reporting relating to gender-affirming care. However, with the installation of Winnett and Dougherty, two outlets whose reporting has remained consistent and objective (though not universally friendly) on trans issues are being helmed by editors connected to two of the worst purveyors of transphobic moral panic in the UK and the US. There’s no sugarcoating it, this does not look good for trans people, or for anyone who believes that journalism should first and foremost be about informing the audience and presenting the truth.
Analogizing to the situation at the New York Times, it has long been surmised that the anti-trans bent the paper took starting roughly in 2022 has been driven by the desire of publisher A. G. Sulzberger, who pressed the NYT to court more readers with right-wing views.
Having right-wing editors-in-chief take charge of the Washington Post and The Daily Beast is a bad omen for trans rights coverage, as both those outlets tend to mostly cover the issue in a respectful way.

Hate attracts hate. Not everyone with differing opinions from you is “anti endo”, however, due to your messaging, those with extreme views is who you’re attracting. We curate our own experiences of the world by what we put into it and what we choose to focus our attention on. The internet magnifies this by a thousand. Be wary of confirmation bias.
Another one from June.
I think what the anon is getting at is that I'm attracting more hateful anti-endos due to my aggressive stances, and that they appear worse than they are due to confirmation bias and more hateful anti-endos showing up on this blog, maybe?
The thing is, the anti-endos I've interacted with here on Tumblr are actually some of the tamest and safest ones.
You go to TikTok where Aspen was one of the largest anti-endo voices. We saw a lot of what TikTok was like when Aspen's followers invaded. The Yaelokre Discord server was harassed into shutting down by sysmeds for daring to be neutral. Aimkid was mass-harassed by anti-endos for being a pro-endo DID systems on Twitter.
When talking about confirmation bias, we need to take a step back and consider that Tumblr is a very queer, liberal website. And as a blogging site, tends to be on the more literate side as well.
Consider that the anti-endos you run into here on Tumblr are going to be some of the least bigoted and most literate anti-endo you will find anywhere on the internet, and they still trend towards being incredibly bigoted and with all the comprehension of a sack of rocks.
Bad as they are here though, sysmeds only get worse the further out you look.

♡: Who is your favorite KPop group?
P1harmony and Ateez are tied at first place with piwon winning just by a little bit (but i'm doing this for both groups because i'd feel bad if i didn't include Ateez)
♡: Which member sparked your interest first?
Jongseob for p1harmony because i saw a clip of him saying that he likes mcr and went to their concert (I also went during that tour he gets me)
technically Jongho and Seonghwa for Ateez but I only got seriously interested in the group when I discovered Yeosang
♡: Who was your first bias?
Jiung for piwon and Yeosang for Ateez
♡: Who is your current bias?
still Jiung and Yeosang (I'm loyal)
♡: What makes them your current bias?
Yeosang is my bias because I find him to be an extremely pleasant person. I find everything about him enjoyable and I think he's a beautiful person outside and inside. I'm stopping here because I am capable of writing an entire essay about him
Jiung... is the only idol i have an actual crush on... But actually he's so talented and hard working. I like how smart he is and how serious he can get while still being genuinely kind, sweet and funny. He seems like a very reliable person who doesn't avoid serious or unpleasant topics
♡: Who is your bias wrecker?
maybe Mingi in Ateez and every other member in piwon
♡: Which member (s) are you currently obsessing over that aren’t your bias/bias wrecker?
I've become sort of a Matz enjoyer recently (not in like a shipping sense) so Seonghwa and Hongjoong for Ateez
In piwon I'm obsessing over a different member every five minutes so
♡: When did you first discover this group?
I discovered both groups last year (so 2023). I discovered Ateez first and a few weeks later p1harmony. It was around the time Jump came out so around June (?)
♡: Have you ever been to one of their concerts?
no D:
♡: What are some of your favorite songs by the group?
ATZ: Cyberpunk, Wake up, It's You, Take me home
P1H: I Am You, If You Call Me, That's It, More Than Words, Late Night Calls, Countdown to Love, Let Me Love You, all of their title tracks (should i keep going? lmao)

This is VERY UNLIKE ME, but here's some incredibly fast, EXTREMELY late-night meta on two dramas (Dangerous Romance and I Feel You Linger in the Air) from this TIRED mama, all before Only Friends later today!
(Y'all. I've missed being around this week! Moving and unpacking... I'll tell ya. It gets harder as I get older. Mostly because I/we have more stuff, and the BRAINS I need to figure out where this stuff should go is like, as mentally draining as it is physically draining to open boxes, unpack 'em, go up and down stairs -- damn. I have been COLLAPSING at night. Friends have been sending me meta to read -- @ranchthoughts, I see you, boo! <3 <3 The little peeks and breaks I've been getting have been giving me energy. I'm a little back on my bullshit now, and I can't wait to give Only Friends the full treatment tomorrow. But for now, quick notes!)
1) Dangerous Romance, episode 4: Listen, the friends covered a lot (here, here, and here -- @neuroticbookworm, @lurkingshan, @wen-kexing-apologist, all clowning correctly). WKA also notes that this show was written by Pratchaya Thavornthummarut and Bee Pongsate, two of the three writers of some of the best BLs ever -- Bad Buddy, My School President, Dark Blue Kiss, etc. When Bee and Pratchaya write WITHOUT Au Kornprom, as they did in BBS, MSP, and DBK -- things go a touch awry (cc @chickenstrangers, as we've talked about this before). Bee and Pratchaya, for instance, wrote Vice Versa, which I haven't watched, but I know the fam is mid on. (Remember when Aof Noppharnach had to come in to save 2gether by making Still 2gether? 2gether was written by Bee and Pratchaya -- Aof and Au joined in on the Still 2gether correction.)
ANYWAY, ALL OF THIS IS TO SAY that I should have been smarter about this show when I started in on it. It's directed in part by Lit Phadung, formerly of SOTUS, which is a fine show by nostalgia's standards! But like, not the height of drahmah.
So there's a lot of mid kinda swirling around here, and god, honestly, I'm kicking myself, because I should have been more sus. I should have been more sus!
Perth and Chimon are too good for this show. Not that I hate it! I don't hate the show, per se. It's just -- the first episode was so intense, so very issues-based, as all the dear friends noted, that to swerve towards a SUCH a gloopy romance plot was just... man, even SOTUS was WAY more clear in its plot than DR. (Dudes, I was chatting with @neuroticbookworm while I was watching this, and I was like, LOVE SICK HAD A MORE CONVINCING ROMANCE PACE THAN THIS. LOVE SICK!!!) DR is moving WAY too quickly towards the cheesiest of tropes, without the beef to back it up.
Anyway, from the energy vibes that Perth and Chimon are giving off, they should either 1) be making out by now, and/or 2) doing it by now, because like, WHOA, lots of staring, boys! LOTS of staring. And lemme tell ya, someone's staring at me like that, like in the clurb or something, and I'm like, yep, make-out time, right?! RIGHT?!
I am now officially watching this show, as I noted to @neuroticbookworm, literally to watch all the dear GMMTV celebs in here try to avoid a dumpster fire. (Where the hell is June?!) (At least Marc and Pawin are funny for like, the 10 seconds we see them.)
OH, ALSO?! What's the difference in Sailom becoming a sex worker vs. being bought out as a live-in tutor? Were we supposed to judge Sailom becoming an escort? Are we intentionally ignoring bias in socioeconomic gaps, writers? TOO MUCH TO ASK, TEAM! Too. much. to. ask.
I luv you, Perth and Chimon, I LUV YOU, BUT WHY. ANYWAY. MOVING ON.
2) I haven't written anything about I Feel You Linger in the Air yet because of LIFE (see above), and I was very wibbly about it when I started it, because you, your mother, MY mother, and MY MOTHER'S MOTHER all know about how sus I am on Tee Bundit (but I finally watched Lovely Writer and LOVED IT, so I am a touch less sus).
ANYWAY, thanks to the convincing of @lurkingshan and @neuroticbookworm to look past the slow pace of the first episode as accurate for a historical drama, I kept at it with IFYLITA. And I'm glad I did.
Now this? THIS IS A BL, BABY!
We got sexy typewriter scenes! Drawings of cutie widdle pigwets! Drunk falls! Red cheeks! Reading out loud! POETRY! FLOWERS! ENEMIES AND INTRIGUE! (I'm not happy about the marital rape, but unfortunately, I am thinking that is accurate for the time being portrayed.)
Admittedly -- god, Tee, the episodes are still a little long, my homey. A little long. BUT.
This show, as so many have noted, is just beyond gorgeous. The plumerias. I LOVE Ming and Maey. I LOVE THAT WE MAY HAVE A SAPPHIC SUB-PLOT.
But I also appreciate that only four episodes in, we haven't forgotten that this is a time travel show, in the midst of the budding romance. My thinking on that out-of-body experience on Jom's part was Jom flirting with consciousness after the present-day car crash. But who knows.
I like that Jom is making the connections with those drawings he found in that chest -- and that, lol, he was asking Prik questions about the architecture. Even though Yai's dad seems like a bad dude, I have faith that Tee Bundit is going to keep Nu Surasak going as a good BL dad/dude -- fingers crossed.
I am just -- I am loving where this show is going to go. The house is worried about Yai. I like the way the scent about Yai's preferences is a lot more muted in 1920s Thailand than it would be as set in the present-day. I just think that's totally accurate for what I would call an "old-fashioned" Asian perspective now. I'm very intrigued to see how a historical drama like this will wrestle with homophobia, as this is my first period BL, and -- I'm just excited to see where it'll go.
The acting is GREAT, the pace of the romance is GREAT, the pace of the filming is still slow, but I can't believe I'm saying this -- I'll continue to forgive it for now. Tee, please, PLEASE don't fail us, because you have something GREAT going on here. Yai, head over HEEEELLLLSSS for Jom, is just -- it's a wonder to see, and I am fully on this roller coaster palanquin ride.
(Also, hey, TWO DRAMAS where dudes were PAID to live with their crushes. K!)
(Oh, also, definitely, next time I'm at a clurb, in like, 20 years, I am definitely ordering an URN of liquor with a ladle. Like a baijiu urn. Fuck yeah. What a LOOK.)
(Okay, that's it, good night, see you for Only Friends!)

okay, hi! soo, i'm finally here to talk about the concert. sorry for not posting about how it went earlier, my arms have been too sore to write a big post 😭 but holy shitt, genuinely had the time of my life. seriously, nothing can compare. this was my first even concert and i'm so fucking glad. i screamed, i cried, i had the best time ever. the venue wasn't too crowded, unfortunately i couldn't see 100% of it, but i did see pretty well, just missed some parts closer to the floor and stuff, (take for example, couldn't see the part where they're like thrusting their hips up in skinz, but managed to see the nine and junji crotch grab by moving around slightly.) it felt so... i guess, real? like.. actually seeing them in person, not just on a screen. and, my god i love them so fucking much. it was genuinely so fucking fun. from kb introducing himself as hot armpit guy and nine as wookie pookie to jumping around during angel. god, it was so great. genuinely could start crying just thinking about it. i don't think i've ever had that much fun, i don't think i've ever screamed so much or felt so much excitement. it's honestly really funny, i was recording when they first came on stage and you can hear me just.. yelp because it was just so... so much. to see a group that became my ult group within less than a night and then became my biggest, and hell, maybe only or at least most prominent hyperfixation for MONTHS, in person. in real life. i got into onlyoneof around june of 2023. it was the middle of the night, and i think i just saw something about them, i think something about their queer concept, if that makes any sense and i just felt such an extreme urge to become a fan. and i'm so fucking glad i did. i swear, i got instinct part 2 and undergrOund idol #2 probably less than a week after. i looked into everything i could about them. i made sure to be able to recognize every single member and watch every single music video immediately. and i immediately knew yoojung was my bias. onlyoneof was the first, and maybe only, time where i've downloaded THOUSANDS upon thousands of photos of idols. not just saving them into pinterest boards but downloading them into my camera roll and everything. they seriously caused such an effect on me. it's pretty stupid, but i feel like they made me so much happier. things i cant say lOve was my first album comeback with them and i'm so grateful that i was able to go to their concert. i really don't think i'll ever be able to forget any of it. i'll probably make a lot more posts with little details about it, maybe a photo or two, i dunno. no videos, though, because you can hear me screaming my heart out in all of them and it's honestly embarrassing to share so publicly 😭 it was seriously so great, though. i felt so in the moment for i'd say the first time ever, really. the energy was so great, from both onlyoneof and lyons. from the really energetic songs like angel, where they encouraged us to jump around and stuff and they threw water on the crowd to the calmer ones like gravity where we were waving the lightsticks to the side all slowly (with the encouragement of kb of course) it was all so fun. and of course i have to mention the merch. as far as i remember, they had shirts, pins, popsockets, pins and little keyrings of each member. i got a shirt, 3 pins and a yoojung key right of course which is the cutest thing ever and matches the pc holder i have on my yoojung light stick photocard which is cute. seriously, best experience in the entire world and i truly hope i get to go again next year, and the year after that, and the year after that, so on. thank you onlyoneof and lyon for such a magical and unforgettable night.

Brazilian domestic market of corn loses strength with the US environment
Tumblr media
The Brazilian domestic market has behaved normally, complying with the vision of production losses in the second crop, but also with the observation that we need to provide an exit for internal surpluses. The market distortion once again comes from the agribusiness media, which is driving producers to believe in possible price hikes in the middle of the harvest of the 2024 second crop. While the export potential does not reach at least 40 mln tons this year, it seems difficult to sustain a bullish bias. Now, Brazil’s difficulty is to compete with low prices on the international market, even though we still have an exchange rate helping to adjust the international lows for domestic prices in reals.
The 2024 second crop is now entering its harvest peak. This is a different year from the normal second-crop seasonality. We had very early plantings in most of the producing regions and, therefore, we will not have many harvests in September or the second half of July. The extremely dry weather in May and June is accelerating this maturation process and loss of moisture in crops, making the harvest viable.
Of course, there is concern about the smaller crop in Mato Grosso do Sul and northern Paraná, as well as, under new assessments now in corn, and sorghum in São Paulo and Minas Gerais. On the other hand, the excellent production in Goiás, Mato Grosso, and Matopiba continues. In general, therefore, Brazil cannot rule out exports in a year like this. The declines on the CBOT at the end of the week have a major impact on this export target. Brazil is not competitive yet with low prices abroad, and therefore the decline to less than USD 4.00/bushel greatly affects internal price formation. On the other hand, in Brazil the very strong devaluation of the real is equalizing this external price low with port indications in the country. The big risk is a slowdown in the exchange rate due to some government intervention. In this case, it is not possible to be sure whether premiums could rise to equalize the Brazilian price with the international market.

Okay, what is the most huggable creature for all YOUR characters? :D
Oh this is gonna b kinda silly so hold on to your seat or s/t 🫣 (Ty for the questionnnn I needed the distraction and something to keep me awake a little longer heheheh!)
Chuu: Carbuncle; became a summoner almost exclusively to be able to summon her own. They don’t need to eat or sleep since it’s sustained off your own aether so it’s like, the perfect pet for someone who’s idealized form is the flawed beauty of the Machine. Her other most huggable creature is This Thing, one of the Stubby Models whose name I can NOT finds
Tumblr media
Tuesday: is a simple guy. He thinks Peatie is the most huggable creature secondary only to June, his faithful and graciously patient Chocobo. They’re both pink, which is a hilarious coincidence.
Tangy: I mentioned in a previous post she’d enjoy having a Dodo/Pudgy Puk/Ahriman plush and that still holds, but I think she’d find Tonberries the most huggable. They’re not necessarily creatures, though,
Mochiie: hands down, finds Chocobos the most huggable creature in all the land. Their big round eyes. Their razor sharp talons. Their bone snapping beaks. The soft downy feathers!!! Can be also be swayed with horses, and Steppe-Dzo.
Colette: Behemoth. It is… Big Uppy Goggy. Reminds her of the [Magnamalo] which is also not very Actually huggable Tbf, but I think Colette could find a way to make it happen anyways.
Ishi’li: wants to hug a Coeurl and Not Die. Wants to hug one so bad. Wdym they’re full out danger electricity cats. :( they are so KITTY… is also extremely charmed by the Odder Otter, lol.
Levraut: finds [Canonball] the most huggable, an act of absolutely no bias whatsoever, definitely. (He also thinks Namazu look huggable, in that like… Cute Aggression way, where he kinda wants to hug one tight enough it makes a squeaking noise)

Hey, everyone, be careful of a “news” source called Epoch Times!
Epoch is a conservative news outlet that is making a transphobic documentary saying how it’s “based on a true story”.
It has all the bells and whistles: a detransitioner saying how they detransitioned because “[their] body started hurting” (which is a valid reason, but stopping treatment for your body’s sake doesn’t make you any less trans) which then immediately cuts to people saying how people are “mutilating their bodies”. It says “Since when are parents the bad guys?” and has a random teacher saying “Okay, kids! Today we’re going to learn about gender. 😃” Dude, no teacher says or does that 😂
According to this piece of nonsense, we trans people are being supported by the government as well! I don’t know what fantasy land they’re living in, but I wish people wouldn’t commit a genocide against us and instead help us 🥲
I didn’t grab the name of the video (the editing had less than a second to display the title), but I do know that apparently it’s going to be in Epoch TV on June 16th, so be careful! We might see a rise in transphobia then.
Here’s some information about Epoch (please add anything else you think I missed in the comments or reblogs):
Apparently, Epoch has done quite a bit of shady crap in the past:
Please be careful everyone!
