Eli remains silent. You take a deep breath and wait until he sits up. He looks at you sighing. "They have depth, you guys do not. He begins laughing, "Like that one meme. I'm not the stepfather, I'm the father who stepped up." He smiles, amused by his own joke. You can't help but smile too, despite the seriousness of the conversation. Looking at him, you take a deep breath and nod, determined to do better.

It was Tuesday after school, and again you were avoiding Jenna. She basically rejected you, but that wasn't going to stop you. You were adamant to make things right and treat her better than that asshole Jacob.

Letting her make her own choices is the best way to show that you care. You make a mental note to take a step back and give her the space she needs. It's not easy, but you know it's the right thing to do.

"Wait, wait, wait... so you're telling me Jacob was the one calling you?" Emma asks, and Jenna nods slowly in response. Emma looks at the girl in front of her, confused but resuming her assumption. "And he says some bullshit apology that you accept--" Jenna cuts her off, "It wasn't bullshit."

Emma stares at her, unimpressed. "It was complete bullshit," she scoffs. Jenna looks away, swallowing the lump in her throat. Jenna looks away, tears forming in her eyes. She knew what Emma was saying was possibly true, but she still wanted to believe it was sincere. "Don't cry, Jen..."

Emma reaches out and gently wipes away Jenna's tears. "I'm sorry," she whispers. Jenna looks up and nods, a small smile forming on her lips. "Then Y/N confessed to you? I'm still shocked about that."

Jenna takes a deep breath and nods. "Yeah, it was a surprise. She said she remembered our kiss and wanted something more out of it." Emma takes Jenna's hand in hers and squeezes it. "I'm here for you, always." Jenna looks into Emma's eyes and nods, her smile growing wider. She leans in and hugs Emma.

Emma holds Jenna close and whispers, "It's okay, I'm here for you." Jenna nods, feeling relieved and comforted. She pulls away and smiles, grateful for her friend's support. "Thank you, Em."

Emma smiles and wipes away Jenna's tears. "Anytime," she says. They embrace again, and Jenna can feel the warmth and love radiating from Emma.

It's now nighttime. You're back in your room and Jenna's in hers. You didn't talk to her because she hasn't given you the opportunity to. You lay in your bed, texting Eli.

I wish I asked Elijah to come with me to my doctor's appointment, he might have been able to provide comfort and make sure I covered everything that I needed to ask about before I left to ensure that I had all my worries covered but once again the medical system left me under radar and I did not have the joys of finding out what was wrong with me and only being told the things I already knew. It was increasingly frustrating, I just wanted to know what was causing my pain and how to make it go away. 

I sat outside the hospital, my thumb hovering over Elijah's name as I argued with myself about bothering him with the matters of my poor mental state after this upsetting day. 

Y/N: Elijah, I know that you must be busy but I need you, please.  Can you come to the hospital and pick me up, please?

Elijah: Yes, of course, I'll be there soon

Even though I knew Elijah wouldn't say no, I could feel myself relaxing with relief as he told me he'd be there. The noble Mikaelson always seemed to be there for me. I am truly grateful that he has always been there for me and as I knew in my heart he'd come running, whenever I asked and it didn't seem to matter how far away I was. 

I ran to him as I saw him approaching, he brought me into his arms, holding me tightly and his hand caressed my hair, offering me as much comfort as he could. We stood still, Elijah just holding me and doing his best to provide comfort despite not knowing what was troubling me. 

The vampire took me to his car, not asking about what was the matter, giving me the chance to relax and gather my bearings before I began breaking down once more confessing my current hatred for the medical system. Elijah drove to the compound, took me to his bedroom and handed me some water, the kind man allowed me to get comfortable and waited for me to find the courage to start talking. 

"Thank you." Elijah nodded, offering a gentle smile, his presence was enough to make the words that were to come out feel easier to admit and his presence allowed me to feel safe in sharing what was wrong.

honestly after all this, even if i feel for alexia and we see how happy she is to get bambi back… we see more of how affected bambi’s been in this situation—and if we think about it, this is how bambi feels when she’s not forcing herself to accept alexia’s love especially when it feels so foreign. it matters that alexia tried but i think that train being broken was symbolic of her relationship with bambi… even when olga mended it it’d never be enough—it’s broken now and bambi hands back the new train (the one that should’ve been her birthday present) and to me that feels like bambi passing on this sort of responsibility to alexia with regard to jaume. this is a new train (a new child) and bambi wishes for alexia to take care of it and not break it the way she broke bambi.

Bambi giving Alexia back the train was being planned for so long. It was always going to happen. It was just a matter of time that I put it in somewhere.

Jenni definitely posts about Bambi. She's such a proud Mama. She's careful with it though. None of the pics on her actual account fully show Bambi's face but she'll show Bambi's face on her story. There's countless photos of Bambi showing off her new ballet shoes (and then her pointe shoes when she's old enough to have them) and there's so many of the back of Bambi's head surrounded by her trains.

Eli definitely has more freedom in posting about Bambi because her account is private. She adores Bambi and practically all of her recitals end up on Eli's account, where Alexia usually gets her unfiltered information about Bambi from.

Olga and Bambi only really have a foundation of a relationship, the one that was made in the hospital, and it kind of stays that way. It develops a little bit as Bambi gets older but not much. Olga is mainly Jaume's mama and Alexia's partner. As Bambi grows up, she definitely comes to understand that her life changed the day that Alexia and Olga sat her down to talk about giving her a sibling.

Jenni doesn't really like to talk about Alexia and Olga to Bambi. She doesn't want to remind Bambi of them because she knows she's going to bitter about them so she just doesn't talk about them. Alba doesn't really confront Olga about anything. Her main job was getting Bambi out of that situation and she's done that now. She does keep a careful watch for the same warning signs for Jaume just in case.

Also about the train symbolism. The Bambi Train was ceramic. It looks strong but it's actually so fragile (Alexia dropped it and it completely shattered) while the Jaume Train is a proper model train. It's actually strong and if someone drops it, there's not going to be a lot of damage. It kind of signifies Alexia as a parent. She got a lot wrong with Bambi and she knows that but in the end, she ended up shattering the train (she broke their relationship). But with Jaume's train (and his and Alexia's relationship now and in the future) has stronger foundations and can take a few mistakes along the way without ruining it. Alexia has changed as a parent and giving Bambi to Jenni makes her want to be the best parent she can be to Jaume so neither of her kids have to suffer again.

I am thinking. About Robbie purring. Again. (Adding a read more because my thoughts really started zoomin with this one godamn)

Thinking he just finished fighting a lot of people and is actually feeling a little satiated, a little more satisfied for the moment. He’s walking back to the car when he notices the sound of another engine but it’s far far more muffled, and sounds happier (?) than the hell chargers violent background drone. Then he realizes it’s actually him. And it’s. Weird. But he’s already on fire and has a leather suit instead of skin so why the fuck w o u l d n t he make weird rumbley noises ghost rider is weird already.

So he snuffs out and goes home to Gabe, who just figured out how to do some kind of math problem by himself and is so excited to show Robbie. And Robbie is just. So proud. Gabe asks him for a hug and OF COURSE he gives one. And things just seem kind of right for the moment. His more violent needs are actually sort of satisfied (for now), Eli has shut the fuck up for once in his life, and Gabe is happy and learning and. There it is again. He can feel it in his chest this time which is extra weird because he can feel his lungs and his heart and his entire godamn ribcage VIBRATING.

Robbie immediately shifts too PANIK because he’s supposed to be HUMAN right now and HUMAN PEOPLE can’t make that fucking NOISE. But it also just won’t stop and dear god is it getting LOUDER? Gabe is confused but just keeps hugging his brother until his breathing goes back to normal and he stops radiating heat like a damn furnace and all thats left is what has grown to be a very comforting sound.

I’d imagine Gabe kinda loves it. Partly for sensory purposes because cat purrs are proven to help calm people. But primarily because it’s an easier way to read his brother. Very easy to tell when someone is actually happy when they have a noise dedicated to it.

Robbie is freaking the fuck out and actually starts to question how human he actually is even when he isn’t burned up. Scars and weird eye colors are… fine. But what the f u c k. A/N: One last entry for @choicesficwriterscreations​ holiday event. Takes place during the January update or ‘tis the damn season. 

They’d woken up to a fresh blanket of snow, crisp and white. It made her giddy, like a child. Or her niece, who had woken up in screams of excitement. 

Ethan and Gen had decided to spend the weekend in her hometown with her family. They’d missed Christmas a few weeks back, so they’d picked a random weekend in January to rectify the situation. 

It always melts her heart to see how much her family has grown to love Ethan. Especially her niece, Ellie. When Ellie met him years ago, she had run up to Ethan and gave him a hug. All smiles and asking if he would marry Auntie G one day. At the time, Gen had been mortified, as her and Ethan had only been dating – officially – for two months, but Ethan played along, giving her niece the only appropriate answer.

Someday, Ellie.

Back then, no one thought anything of it, but nine months later he proposed and now two years later they were married. 

And Ethan had graduated from Etan to Uncle Ethan, quickly becoming Ellie’s favorite person in the world. Which meant whenever the Ramsey’s go up to Maine for a visit, they stay with Gen’s brother and sister-in-law. 

“Auntie G!?” The six year old runs into the living room, already dressed for the snow. “Is Uncle Ethan awake?” 

“He’s in the kitchen, making us coffee.” Gen laughs, Ellie not bothering to hear the rest of the sentence and running into the other room. She follows close behind, never one to miss the sweet interactions between Ellie and Ethan. 

“Uncle Ethan, will you come play in the snow with me?” She beams up at him, with a pleading lip. 

Not unlike the one Gen uses when she wants something from her husband. 

“Did your aunt teach you that face?” Ethan chuckles, kneeling down to be at Ellie’s level.

“No. Will you? Please!?” 

“Sure. How about we have everyone come out and play?” 

“Okay.” She runs away, her feet stomping up the stairs. “Mom!”

Twenty minutes later and the whole family is outside: Gen, Ethan, Henry, Clara, Eli and Ellie. Making snow angles and snow forts. 

Gen walks over to her husband, arms coming around his waist. ”Thank you for indulging her. You’re a good uncle.” 

“I don’t mind, honestly.” Ethan smiles, wrapping his own arms around her. “I see it as practice for when we have our own children. Though, hopefully, they don’t learn to make that same face. I’m screwed if you and our children have it.” 

“You’ll be a great dad.” She leans up on her tiptoes to kiss him, the snow crunching under her boots, but their lips barely touch before they’re interrupted. 

“No kissing! Daddy said so.” Ellie throws a snowball from beside Henry, erupting into a fit of giggles. “Mommy and Daddy and Eli are going inside, but can we stay outside? We can make a snowman!” 

She prances over to them, her tiny gloved hand pulling one of Ethan’s off of Gen’s waist. “Will you help?” 

“Of course, Ellie.” Ethan kisses Gen’s cheek before letting Ellie pull him away. 

She can’t help the smile that spreads, her heart so full at the sight of Ethan and their niece. 

They’d decided a few months prior, to wait a little longer on having kids of their own. They wanted them together, but Gen wasn’t ready to give up what they currently have by bringing a baby into it. She enjoyed it just being the two of them, a semi-newly married couple. 

If she was honest, the thought of losing that, their little bubble of just Ethan and Genevieve, made her anxious. The unknowns of what their relationship would turn into after having a child terrified her. 

But she also knew that Ethan was ready. He wanted kids as soon as possible, especially after they learned Tobias and his fiancée were expecting last year and their baby being born just a few days ago. He wanted to begin the next phase of their life, and it broke her heart a little to make him wait. 

Though, Ethan was quick to remind her that while he was ready, there was no real pressure on her and he’d happily and patiently wait until she was too. 

Gen looks back at her husband and niece, rolling a second ball of now. The six year old chatting away and Ethan nodding his head. 

He really will make an amazing father. So caring and patient, happy to build a snowman or play pirates and princess. Their future kids will be so lucky to have him as their dad. 

“Auntie G, come help.” Ellie calls her over, big smile on her small face. “We need to put his face on.” 

“Of course, Nuggs.” She joins them in the middle of the backyard. “He looks great already.” 

“Thank you. Uncle Ethan put on his head cause I’m too short and he’s very tall.”

“He is.” She winks at him, to which he shakes his head. “What are you going to use for his eyes and smile?” 

“Um.. Oh, I know. Marbles from my collection. I’ll be back.” Before either adult can say anything, Ellie runs inside, leaving them alone in the backyard. 

“What had you so far away just now? I kept looking over at you and you seemed a million miles away.” Ethan is quick to take her into his arms once they’re alone. Concern etched all over his face. 

“I was just thinking.” Gen drapes her arms around his neck, shuffling as close as she can with their bulking winter coats. 

“Oh?” 

“Nothing bad, I promise.” She nuzzles her nose against his, that warm feeling she always gets when she’s in his arms flooding her veins. 

It’s the feeling of safety, and home, Gen has come to learn in the years she’s been with Ethan. Something she’s never had with anyone else. Chaos and mayhem could be erupting around them, but if she was in his embrace, none of it mattered. 

Perhaps, that was proof that no matter what they’d always be okay. That even when they have a child, at the end of the day, they’d still be them. Two people madly in love. 

And maybe, with that knowledge, she was closer to being ready than she thought.

Demetri’s the the type of dad who’s able to just relax and have his kids cuddle up to him and fall asleep on his chest, carry them around on his hip or just hold them and they’re chill… Eli’s the type of dad to carry the kids around like duffel bags, quite literally just holding them by the onsie buttons. Think of it like that meme between RDJ and Chris Evans w their kids-

Grocery shopping between them is catastrophic.

Eli and the kids throwing random shit in the cart and Demetri picking it up and putting it all back, Eli steering the cart towards the Lego section and Demetri pulling it back towards the cash registers.

“Dem please, I just wanna see if they have the newest Star Trek model, it said it was online.” Eli whined as he pulled the cart back, “Pwease daddy!” Protested a spawn tugging on his shirt, causing a smirk to creep upon Eli’s face. “Yeah… please, daddy?”

Demetri just glared, it was his only offense.

“Fine, I’m keeping the cart here make it quick for christ sake.”

The kids pick up on everything their dads do, especially Eli. That was Demetri’s worst nightmare, one time Demetri came home to see the two kids sitting alone on the couch watching one of their cartoons. They were supplied with juice and rice puffs, but Demetri couldn’t help but notice that his children were completely unsupervised.

“Oh my goodness, what is going on here my loves? Why are you out here all by yourself?” They immediately sprung up and waddled over to Climbing up onto him and giving him hugs. A little one pulled Demetri down to whisper in his ear, he instinctively twitched back at the feeling of spit being launched into his ear from the small human whispering directly into his ear canal.

“Dada uhm… uhm… daddy- daddy is smot’hin owside…” Demetri couldn’t understand a single word that was said,

“Daddy’s what? What’s…. Eli Moskowitz-”

Demetri stomped over to the sliding glass door to find his husband finishing the end of a blunt off the balcony, Eli spun around at the sound of the door opening behind him, “Put that shit out now, get inside the damn house.” Demetri closed the door, Eli frantically following behind. The next day the two kids were putting their carrots between their lips pretending to smoke them, Demetri shot daggers at Eli who was smiling taking photos of the kids.

Despite how immature he may seem Eli isn’t an irresponsible parent, he’s always going above and beyond for the babies, and Demetri knows that. Sometimes he’ll come home from a long day to find Eli and the kids cuddled up under a blanket together on the couch, one of them snuggled into his side and the other asleep on his chest. Eli has them both held close to him tightly as the three of them sleep on the couch to the sound of Lego ninjago playing quietly on the tv.

I’m a firm believer that no matter how hard he tries Demetri cannot get his kids to stop crying or misbehaving, they’ll wail and wail until Eli comes in and then it’s silent. With one stern look their mouths close and they wipe away their tears. They seem to listen to Eli because they know he hardly ever raises his voice, and if he does then they know they’re in big trouble. Whereas they know they can piss off Demetri as much as they can but then act all innocent to Eli.

“You’ve got to be kidding me!” Demetri scolded, Eli automatically making his way over to his clearly irritated husband.

“What happened?”

“They drew all over my damn cue cards!”

The little ones came waddling over, “No! Daddy! Dat… Dat wuddint us don’t wissen to dada!”

“Oh come on! Who was it, quicksilver??”

I actually... really liked it??? Like it's not that good but I enjoyed watching it! A lot of parts were genuinely funny and the plot was like passable! (Quite a few unanswered questions tho)

There were some things I found confusing or weird, like idk wtf Harris had against the pack (his reveal was funny af tho) and a few other things, but they were mostly just because of the lack of Stiles, Kira, and and Isaac

The Kira 'stand in' girl (I think her name was Hikari??) Was pretty cool, obviously sucks that Kira herself wasn't there but that's a whole different conversation 👀

Honestly, as a huge Stydia shipper I was hoping they wouldn't break them up and just have him like watching their kids or something (I think I saw a funny post of that once) but they way they broke them up? Not actually that bad? Like Lydia left him because she loved him and I was just worried that they wouldn't love each anymore so I'll take what I can get! Tho not expanding on the dreams she was having is a bit of a lost thread, but since it wasn't really apart of the main story, I'll let it slide lol.

I did not like how they just pretended Issac didn't exist, that was pretty fucked up. Like I predicted that Scott and Allison would get back together by the end, but damn rip Isaac for real 😔

Anyways, about Derek's death... Honestly, since I wasn't taking the movie that seriously in the first place, I didn't really feel anything about Derek dying? Like don't get me wrong, I love the man and if they killed him off in the actual show I'd be bawling, but the movie to me is just a silly little suggestion to canon than law. There's real canon, fanon, and the third secret canon that lives inside my brain ☺️

But like, I don't really care that he died in the movie, I was just surprised tbh. Rip king you deserved better 🙏 (I don't understand how he just like, disappeared, after being burnt?? Like maybe I didn't notice it but his body was gone like huh???)

I never liked Scott and Malia together so I'm glad they broke up, but Malia and Parish was weird as hell and was just so random. I think that ever since Malia and Stiles broke up the writers just couldn't figure out what to do with her? Which is a total shame cause Malia is queen. But none of her relationships post stiles make sense or work out so rip (I do love me some stlia on the side ngl)

Jackson was GREAT, funny af and just like how I would imagine the redeemed adult version of the asshole from season 1, 10/10

Lots of missed opportunities for interactions, (like Liam and Mason) but it's only a 2h movie so I get it

I thought both Scott and Allison were great, tho I'm not sure how I feel about her staying alive afterwards. Plus I always shipped Scira more but you know 👀 love that Scott was the same great guy ☺️ when he hugged Chris I literally cried it was so cute 🥺

UNEXPECTED TWIST for me!!! I came into the movie, very lightly shipping Chris and Melissa, and came out of the movie shipping Chris, Melissa, and Peter 😳 I didn't expect that! But they were such a cute trio omg it was amazing

Eli was cute and I don't think that he was that much like stiles, but there obviously similarities

And Jackson and Lydia brotp??? Absolutely!!!

So that's basically it, I'll give this a solid 7/10

(like one person brought up the whole, sterek was "queerbaiting" thing, which is such bullshit. They literally never fucking liked each other, even platonically. I would say by the end of the show Derek just barely tolerates Stiles. The real queerbaiting was the writers being to scared to confirm that Stiles was Bi because it's ridiculous how many scenes pointed to that, especially in seasons 1-3 smh)

I didn't know my brother could've learn how to use magic in the time he was stuck in the house by what they told me while we were looking at the camp, you see due to us being in 2021

So to summarize he explained how the house worked being that day passes inside while in the real world it was years, and the reason it didn't affect us was because the seal that locked the places was broken, he also showed me that he use papers with the word of the element he wants to use, that he has a bracelet that allows him to use Laven powers and viceversa, then I asked if he could let Will borrow the set, he said yes but instead he gave a new set and a crossbow as approval of my relationship with Will , then we talked a little of Hestia, then about how there could be a Hestia cabin, just to Mr. D appear we had a conversation and asked if he make that cabin he said he didn't care and dissappear in a purple cloud with glitter , then Eli made the cabin, only for Demeter to appear making Eli very aggressive only for her appearance just for them to start arguing, and for destiny Will and Lester appeared, when the arguing was very heated, Eli created a energy/aura explosion that Lester protected will, the puffs and me, the rest of the surroundings were covered by grown flora, and for some reason my aura made the surroundings less crowded around our little group and so I made the same as Eli so the plant withered, then Eli told me he would be gone until Demeter was out of camp half blood and he left with Lavender, not before giving me my "late birthday presents"

the shop closed a little later than normal, but lucio was used to that when nocturnal creatures were his most prominent customers. but like most customer service jobs, he was completely drained, and mother nature had made him a bit more snappy than usual. restocking some of the herbs on his shelves, and putting away paperwork that he'll definitely be saving for later, he startles when he realizes he's not alone anymore. how had he missed that ?

looking up, confusion and annoyance flickering over features before he's pulled against eli, those arms tight around his frame. for a moment, lucio grumbles, grabbing at eli's forearms. but the man doesn't let go of him and eventually, lucio lets himself be embraced. if he's being honest with himself, it's exactly what he needs right now.

after several short moments, he sags against eli, burying his face into his lover's shoulder, arms sliding around him. fuck. damn hormoes. the long those arms are around him, the more he melts into eli's embrace, and the exhaustion of the day finally greets him. the problem now is that the witch doesn't want to let go.

there's no pressing matter to address, no warning feelings or visions to worry about. so why can't they stay like this ? later, he'll question just why they ended up like this, why he ended up falling asleep in eli's arms and why when he woke, there was a heating pad against his lower tummy. but right now, he soaks in the summoner's scent, quietly content in relishing this moment after a tough day. it was all he needed. eli….eli was all he needed, he silently admitted, and thought made him clutch the summoner tighter, nuzzling deeper into the crook of his neck.

06x08//I Know A Place - weekly recap (I guess that’s a weekly thing now)

There’s a lot to unpack about this episode, so let me start off by saying that this is hands down one of the best episodes that has ever been written on this show (thanks to Leah Gonzales, who basically has a flawless track record on the show so far) and I’m here for it. I will also point out some minor points first before getting to the main parts of this episode, because those will need more writing.

- The time jump in the beginning felt a little jarring, but that’s apparently an issue the show has refused to work on for six seasons and counting, so we better accept that they simply skip major parts of storylines

- The time jump also leaves us wondering what the hell happened to Maya’s phsyical health? Guess she’s fine now? Kinda hard to believe that her only issue (physically) is her sprained ankle, but okay.

- Diane is back! (and we all love it)

- Theo got a bit of his own storyline and while it wasn’t a “big story”, I’m still glad they gave him that, because we once again saw his soft and caring and passionate character and it’s just the best thing

- Dixon being a jerk as usual but Ross doing The Right Thing and it was great. Was it unexpected after what she had told him earlier? No. Was it still incredible? Absolutely yes. The only thing spoiling this story a little was them injecting Sullivan into it once again towards the end, but at least that wasn’t downright awful this time.

- Maya and Diane: Finally. HMU did a fantastic job at making Maya look like she was feeling on the inside, and it was about time she started some proper therapy. The storytelling was really great and thoughtful and heartwrenching, even if they basically sped up months and years of trauma processing to fit it into one episode. But at the very least Diane made it clear that Maya would need regular sessions for the next few months at least, so they did not pretend Maya would be fine after one day with Diane

- random side note: it’s been discussed why Maya’s dad was so weirdly focused on her cousin. My best bet is that dude cheated on Maya’s mum and that kid has been his all along. But that’s just a bit silly thinking here, if anyone else wondered what was going on there too.

- Vic. Let’s get to Vic, okay? The woman who has been through so much in past seasons and is still so easily overlooked in her struggles, once again reaching her breaking point, but for once she does not push it away. I am really damn glad they included that scene of Vic acknlowledging that she is, in fact, absolutely not okay, and that it’s okay to share this pain with others. Also VERY important to note: Theo listened. Not only that, he also didn’t try to argue, or make this about him. He shut right up about his own issues once Vic opened up about her own feelings. He acknowledged them and was there for her. We know he is kinda awkward around feelings and using words, but goodness, did he show up with his listening and hugging skills. Ladies and gentlefolks, get yourself a partner like this, for real. Oh, and a friend like Travis, too, because that group hug was absolutely wonderful. Let’s hope they’re giving Vic some therapy too in the future, she sure as hell needs it.

- We don’t talk about the final scene, right? Okay, thanks, because that one’s wrecking me and I basically waited for a visual like this the moment Diane started talking about little Maya. I’m fine, I stg I’m fine after this.

PS: And for the love of god, can everyone in that damn station please stop trusting that Eli dude? No one ever found out why he randomly showed up at the station and selflessly offered his help, and I can’t believe the writers are trying to sell the fact that every single person on that show is dumb enough to never even question his motives. Seriously. But I’m still here for sassy Andy (”I’m literally the one who would show up”), as long as she doesn’t fall for this dude - she already has a bad enough track record in the boyfriend department as is, okay?

There was only one place to find Eli on a Friday night and that was at The Bitter End on Bleecker Street, playing his usual gig unless he had a concert or any other event work related previously scheduled. It was his favorite spot, too. He loved strumming his guitar, sometimes alone, sometimes accompanied by a band, singing new and old songs alike. If the crowd was lucky, they’d get a few of his own sprinkled through the set. That stage was his happy place, his second home, his temple. It’s where he allowed his every feeling to flow freely through music, where he was the most vulnerable and the strongest at the same time. He didn’t need fame or fortune. He was happy to do what he did for a living as long as he got the chance to keep doing this, music. Even if it was for a small crowd. 

That night was different, though. His songs were a little more upbeat and he couldn’t stop smiling. He had woken up like that and had been cheery all day. Even if he didn’t want to say it was all because of Peter’s text the previous night, it was exactly because of Peter’s text the previous night. He knew it was selfish of him to be this excited to have his best friend back. It wasn’t the same. None of it ever would. But they had been doing a good job at pretending it was. They had for almost two years give or take, not including that forlorn night in London. As long as Peter didn’t bring any of it up, neither would Eli. It had been their unspoken agreement. They would keep their friendship as it was, whatever that meant, and Eli was okay with that. He had no other choice. Their friendship came before anything else. Even his own feelings towards his best friend. He’d get over those. He would. He had to. They would pick up from where they left off two years ago, before he went ahead and opened his big fat mouth and ruined it all! 

When the end of his second set was almost over, Eli took a moment to drink some of the beer one of those in attendance had bought him, asking the crowd if there was any special request and chatting easily with a few closer to the stage over the mic which also earned him a few laughs when his eyes caught sight of his best friend. He immediately went still for except the big smile taking over his face, his heart beating hard and fast against his chest. “Well, I’ll be damned.” He speaks slowly, adjusting the mic to buy him a moment to recover from the surprised shock. He had been so unsuspecting but there he was, not even 24 hours since that text, standing right in front of him. “How about we do a little throwback to welcome a good friend back home?” Even if he was speaking to the crowd, his eyes were locked with Peter’s across the room, the chords of Elvis’ All Shook Up. Just a few more songs, he told himself, 10 minutes tops, and he’d put his guitar down to cross that room to where Peter was. “You little shit, you didn’t tell me you were coming tonight!” He said, grinning with arms wide open as he finally approached Peter, pulling him into a tight hug. It had been too long. He missed him. So much. He couldn’t let go. “Your room’s not even nearly ready, I hope you know that.” He added, laughing, still not letting go. He couldn’t. It still didn’t feel real. “It’s so good to see you.” He whispered, giving him another squeeze before letting go. “Come on, I’ll buy you a round. Also, how the heck did you know where to find me? What if I wasn’t playing tonight or something?”

Summary: Alexis wants to hold Leon's hand. That's it. That's the fic.

Notes: Look. I haven't written in a while and been feeling pretty bummed out so. Fluff has taken over my mind and I wanna write about it. Okay? Okay.

Elliot makes it look so easy. The way she casually inches closer to Eva, slipping her fingers into her hands and seamlessly intertwine like it's nothing. There is no shyness whatsoever. Elliot doesn't look away from Eva, nor does Eva cover her face with her free hand. They just hold hands and carry on their business. How.

Alexis squints at his sister and her girlfriend. The two walk ahead of them, hand in hand, in what seems to be deep conversation. Elliot says something funny, Eva laughs, and Elliot looks at her with heart-eyes. Eva says something back, maybe to follow up on Elliot's joke, and suddenly Elliot is shy, helpless to Eva's teasing, much to Eva's amusement. And yet. They hold hands like it's nothing. How.

Elliot must have noticed Alexis staring, as she looks back at him, smirking, then pulling Eva closer to her. Her hands slip from Eva's, then go to her waist- wow. Okay. Sure. Flaunt your 4 year relationship why don't you. Show off.

( He can't really be mad. He's glad that his sister has someone like Eva)

Eva, noticing the sudden shift, looks back at Alexis. She immediately gets what's going on, giving her girlfriend scolding, yet clearly playful look, to which Elliot simply sticks out her tongue.

As cute as they are, this does not stop Alexis from pouting. He looks to his side, where Leon walks beside him. He's been quiet this whole time, and knowing him, saw this whole interaction goes down. Alexis theory is proven correct when he sees Leon giving him a cheeky grin. Arceus have mercy on him.

" So," Leon starts smoothly, inching a bit to Alexis, " Anything on your mind?"

Damn this man.

Any other day- or to be more specific, if wasn't in an actual relationship, Alexis would have said no and moved on, burying his wants deep in his chest until they fizzled out and died. But Alexis doesn't get that luxury. No, Alexis now has to be burdened with knowledge that he can actually want things and feel like a piece of shit for it. And the thing he wants right now?

" Can.....can I hold your hand?" Alexis feels the heat spread across his face as Leon beams, his excitement uncontained. Damn this man.

" Of course!"

It's not like Alexis has never held anyone's hand before. His parents, his sister, Bianca, Cheren once upon a time. But how long has he allowed himself that comfort? That warmth?....holy shit is he touch starved? Arceus he's touch starved.

This realization is proven even further once Alexis takes Leon's hand. He feels like he's about to melt. And he's using his prosthetic arm. Something he was so sure would feel so cold and unfeeling but he can just feel the warmth creep up his arm like it's nothing. He missed this. He missed this so much. He needs to give Elliot a hug later. In her own twisted way, she got him to shoot his shot. That....and he would like a hug without all the crying for once.

" Alright?" Leon asks, and looking up the him, he's just as flustered as Alexis is.

"Yeah," Alexis replies breathlessly, " You?'

"Yeah..... It's been a long time since I held someone's hand. Especially like this,"

" Same!"

" You're welcome by the way!" Elliot calls from the front, and Alexis looks ahead to see her and Eva had stopped walking to look at them. Elliot has a knowing smirk of her lips. Alexis almost reconsiders that hug. Almost

" You didn't do shit," calls back, flipping his sister off. Elliot flips him off back.

" That's a lie and you know it!" It is a lie. Kinda. Alexis was the one that put in all the work.

" You really didn't do much, Eli," Eva giggles, and Elliot gives her a look of utter betrayal.

" I can't believe this. My own girlfriend doesn't believe in my skills-"

" Well I didn't say that-" The two continue their playful banter, neither moving away from the other.

" Quick," Leon whispers, " While they're distracted,". Leon gently pulls Alexis along and the two quickly walk past Eva and Elliot.....taking the lead? Though it doesn't last long, as Elliot quickly catches them.

" HEY!" she shouts, " Don't you walk away from me! I'll kick your asses!"

Leon only laughs, starting to run hand in hand with Alexis. Alexis was really not aware that this was a race. But he's still holding Leon's hand, so honestly? He doesn't care.

early summer - gabe performs at the kia forum in LA, they hang out with jeddy, and gabe proposes to tatum

Gabe is backstage at the KIA Forum in his dressing room, getting ready for his performance. He looks over at Tatum and grins, “Have you decided what to wear?”

Jade is backstage as well with Teddy before Eli goes on stage and she smiles at him, “Wanna go to VIP or go check on Gabe?”

Tatum hums as she browses through the racks and looks over her shoulder at him, “Not sure. Help me?”

Teddy wraps his arm around her and smiles, “Let’s check on him.”

Gabe grins and goes over to her, "I don't know how much help I'll be.."

Jade grins and nods, "Okay!" She leads him to the dressing rooms.

She rolls her eyes playfully and nudges her hip against his, “You’re always helpful.”

He grins and kisses her temple, “Have you missed LA and being at shows out here?”

He chuckles and kisses her head, “definitely something sexy. It’s LA, we gotta make statements.”

Jade smiles, “Of course, but I miss LA less since I have you with me.”

Tatum smiles and looks through the racks, “What about this slip dress?” She pulls it out and holds it up to her body, “Damn that’s short.”

Teddy chuckles as he nods in agreement, “I understand the sentiment. Happy to be here for a bit and see my family though.”

Gabe groans, “Yes. Just yes.”

Jade grins and nods, “Definitely. And be back in the home we first shared together.”

She laughs and nods her head, “But I need something else over it. I can’t wear that alone, it’s like lingerie.”

Teddy grins and kisses her hair, “I’ve missed it.”

He sighs playfully and hums, looking through before holding up a red leather jacket, “how’s this?”

Jade smiles, “I’m happy anywhere as long as I’m with you.”

Tatum raises her brows at him and takes the jacket, “Red?”

He smiles wider and nods his head, “Anywhere and everywhere, baby.”

Gabe grins, “I think it’s cool.”

Jade smiles and kisses his jaw, “But it does feel really good to be here, and at the forum!”

She laughs softly and nods her head, “It makes a statement..”

Teddy tilts his head to the side and laughs, “I do love this place..”

He grins, “A cool, sexy one.”

Jade grins, “I’m happy to be here.”

Tatum laughs and leans up to kiss him quickly, “Let me change.”

He squeezes her and nods, “And excited to see our friends.”

Gabe smiles and nods, “Okay, I can’t wait to see it.”

She smiles up at him, “that is definitely an added plus.”

She moves behind the changing curtain and starts to change, “What are you wearing anyways?”

Teddy kisses her temple as they approach the dressing room.

He grins at her, “It’s a surprise.” Jade knocks on the door and Gabe raises his brows, “Want me to wait to get that?”

Tatum finishes putting on her dress and sits to lace up her boots in the dressing area, “You can get it, I’m decent and just finishing up.”

Gabe opens the door and grins as he sees Jeddy, “Hey!” He hugs Jade and lifts her off her feet. Jade squeals and laughs loudly, “so this is the view from up here!”

Teddy laughs and rolls his eyes playfully, “Oh what a show off!”

Gabe sets her down and laughs before hugging Teddy, “I’m so glad to see you two!” Jade grins and peeks in, “Where’s my Tate at!?”

Teddy gives him a hug back and laughs softly, “Excited for the show, man.” Tatum calls out from behind the curtain, “Come in! I’m finishing up!” She slips on the jacket and steps out.

Jade walks in and her jaw drops as she sees Tatum, “I’m about to get on my knees!”

Tatum laughs and twirls around as she walks over to them, “What do we think?”

Gabe watches her and whistles, “Damn.”

She waves her hand and grins as she gives both Jeddy a hug, “Thanks for coming, you two.”

Jade grins as she hugs her, “We’re happy to be here!” Gabe puts his arm around Tatum, “Damn.”

Teddy laughs and nods in agreement, “And you look great.” Tatum leans into his side and grins at him, “Thank you..”

Jade smiles up at Teddy, “Should I get an outfit like that?” Gabe grins and kisses her.

He grins with a nod, “Please do.” Tatum slides her hand on his chest and kisses him back with a smirk.

She smirks and wiggles her brows at him. Gabe grins against her lips.

Teddy laughs and pecks her lips. Tatum pulls with a grin, “Now..I wanna see your outfit.”

Gabe playfully sighs, “Fine, I’ll go change.” He points at Jade, “No peeking.” Her jaw drops, “I would never!”

Teddy squeezes her hip and laughs, “She better not!” Tatum laughs and leads them farther in the room, “Want anything to drink?”

Jade smiles at her, “sure.”

She moves to the mini bar and smiles, “How’s New York treating you two?”

Jade smiles widely, “I love it, and love it even more with Teddy with me.”

Teddy nods in agreement, “It’s been a lot of fun.” Tatum pours them both some champagne and hands it to them, “I can imagine. Can’t wait to come visit again.”

She grins widely, “It’ll be so nice to have you there! We can have a wine night in and watch trash tv the three of us!”

Tatum raises her brows and points to Teddy, “He’s a trash tv fan?”

Jade grins and shrugs, “He is when I have it on.”

Teddy smiles sheepishly and shrugs as he sips his drink, “It’s not the worst thing I’ve ever seen.”

She grins and kisses Teddy’s cheek, “I love that he watches it with me. It’s a return on investment for watching docs with him.”

Tatum grins at them and shakes her head, “You’re too cute.”

Gabe comes out from behind the curtain and smiles, “What do you think?”

Tatum turns to him and grins widely as she looks him up and down, “Wow..”

He grins and pulls her to him before kissing her.

She puts her hand on his bare chest and kisses him with a hum.

Gabe grins as they kiss. Jade giggles and looks at Teddy.

Teddy chuckles and kisses her cheek. Tatum pulls back and grins as she whispers against his lips, “Very sexy..”

Gabe smirks, “told you I had to make a statement.” Jade grins at Teddy, “I want you wear something like that.”

Tatum nips at his lower lip and plays with the chain of his necklace, “You’re gonna drive me crazy.” Teddy raises his brows and laughs, “You think I could pull that off?”

He chuckles, “Good.” Jade smirks and nods, “Especially with your chest hair.”
