I didn't expect to enjoy Zane and Frohicky's dynamic as much as I have, but ngl I think they might be one of my favorite duos to come from Dragons Rising. Just. Look at them. I love them

Etoiles chooses to be kind. He chooses who he trusts carefully, he keeps his cards close to his chest. I mean, he hid the fact that he had the sword and he's still hiding the fact that he has the shield back.

And doesn't that sound so familiar? Misunderstood and alone. It took some of the islanders so long to come around to Etoiles simply because he's powerful. He's powerful and despite the fact that all he's ever done is protect people, they're afraid of him.

He chooses to be kind, today he saved that code. He called it his brother. He stood still in a building where his position was compromised, where he knew people were coming for him, and he waited for the code to finish writing. He waited to hear what it had to say.

He doesn't understand them fully, but no one understands him either. Why should he hate something that, in reality, is very similar to himself?

FINALLYYYYYY. My guys of the jury, this has a tracked 30 damn hours and boy does it feel like it. ANYWAYS, I return for more AU shenanigans because Get Redeemed Loser AU lives in my head rent free. Felt like a nice way to experiment with more vertical style comics? Which is SM EASIER TO PANEL THAN CLASS LAYOUTS. I get why they're so much more common nowadays. Comic,,, so satisfying but at what cost,,, i'm tired. So proud of the top half tho :3.

Okay back to AU brainrot, Mark and Wasp fighting over one of their core differences! I think this is early in their relationship where Mark still thinks Wasp can at least understand what it's like being Nolan's son, only to get smacked in the face with how pride Wasp holds in that title.
