as a writer, when you put in all that hard effort into creating this massive story with so much thought and research, it just gets swept away and with people more inclined towards reading one shots and Tumblr's own interface designed for blog posts and not longform fiction like say, in ao3, it is unsurprising to find people gravitate towards fluff and stuff that gets wrapped up in 1k-2k words.

There isn't really a lot of interest in people wanting to read something that gravitates away from romance in the slightest. People want the engagement stories, the days leading up to it, they want the cute dates and that's perfectly fine too, but there really isn't any point complaining about engagement anymore because the fandom has just shrunk exponentially and it only makes sense to support each other's work because you like the author and you hope they keep writing time after time.

I don't know if I'm making sense lol, this is just my two cents on the situation and many random shovels of thoughts.

I do hope we get a fandom renaissance or something but that would require people to share, reblog and actively be a patron for people's works and not everyone has the time for that in this post-covid era, which is totally understandable too. I just hope we find a middle ground so people of all niches can be accepted and they can reach their audience.

While fandom events do encourage people to create; as a catalyst, the readers always play the primary part in making sure that encouragement sustains enough for authors to create. After a while it gets pointless to just shout out things into the void and you're left wondering if the stuff you create really matters or not; even if you think you're writing for yourself and you matter, it gets tedious 😭😭

Not going to lie… there are days lately I am like “It is time to just hang it up”, bit it still brings me some joy in a world that isn’t always so great. So I do it. But the desire to produce isn’t always there, and when it is, it is more likely to be short, simple, and like you said, that’s fine too. But I miss delving into deeper, more substantial content. But who is going to take the time to do it if … as you said… you are screamed into a void.

We always talked of “silent readers”. Well, I think a lot of them are even gone now, but I am sure some remain. But at this point if we don’t encourage one another, I think we will have very little outside of occasional shared screenshots within a year.

A year ago, the fandom was smaller, but I couldn’t have imagined hanging it up. Now, I think, “after I tell this… chances are I have nothing left to give.” And thats from someone who always has a new idea. Hey, that hyperactive mind fucks me enough, I am grateful for the good things it gives me too! lol But even for my Tobias and Casey, which are truly my heart, I can see an end. Today, it is all day by day.

I had joined the famous band GUNS 'N' ROSES as , well before it was a famous or well known band , as a keyboardist and had been apart of the band for awhile now. After a while i had formed a connection with the main drummer of the band , steven Adler. After a few years of being in the band and getting to know steven , we got in a relationship. For a few months we kept it secret , but after awhile we technically didn't announce our relationship , but we didn't didn't say no when people asked.

Later on , as the band skyrocket in fame and my relationship with steven also skyrocketed . The incident happened where at a party , it really was a blur , but it was where practically everyone was either extremely drunk on various types of alcohol or copious amount of drugs . I , who also had copious amounts of alcohol in your system , to the point where I could barely stand and on the brink of unconsciousness . At some point I happened to "hook up" with someone . I don't remember who they were , nor do I care to .

After the whole incident went down and Steven found out , Let me just say , it was MESSY . We eventually broke up and I was surprisingly allowed to stay in the band . Even four months later , in the current day , I still feel a pang of guilt of something i don't event remember doing. But every since then something else has been building up . Every since I found out steven was talking badly about me behind my back , the thing I've been feeling and was building is hate . And I would get it if he was talking about the breakup and stuff , but no he was actually talking shit . Ever since then the feeling of hate had been brewing and it was actively make me talk bad about him behind his back .

One cold afternoon after practice , I was just getting ready to leave after staying late . But as i grabbed my bags and locked up the studio , I saw Steven waiting a few meters Infront of the doors . "what do you want?" I sighed out not wanting to deal with him "well , i just wanna talk" "I said I'm sorry man , I was like really drunk I don't even remember it" I barley mumbled out before feeling tears fill my eyes . "I just wanted to , umm" Steven started to say before trailing of , "great! , the one and only Steven Adler is to shy to speak to my face!" I spat at him . "Just hear me out! , please just give me a minute!" "fine" I grumbled as I gestured for him to sit down with me as I sat down on a bench next to the door.

As he sat down next to me , we started to talk .And as we started to talk into the night my hate for him started to melt and fill with the same admiration and love that I had for him as when we were dating , we both explained our sides of the story and apologized. A few weeks later it felt like how we used to be , we laughed together , hugged each other tightly again and most importunately , we fell back in love with each other and a few months later we got back together.

as a new writer (not new to writing, just new to publishing here), I get discouraged really easily, no matter how much I like my writing. I’m autistic, so I tend to take things to heart. do you have any tips for people like me? aaaaanddd did you experience anything like this when you started

i'm going to be honest the first time i posted here, i was shit nervous. i was like "what if people think it's absolute shit?" i even told myself that if it flopped i'd delete my account forever, let my fics rot in my notes, and never post again. but i asked myself "why do i care so much? do i really need the external validation? or am i doing it for fun?" if people don't like it, that's their issue, not mine. scrolling is free and as long as i'm not offending or hurting anyone, why wouldn't i keep doing it for my own enjoyment? writing is fun, it's something i've always loved, and honestly, it's mind-blowing when people ask for a part two or leave a nice comment. like, it's genuinely crazy, i'm just here, sharing something i've always enjoyed and did since i was a kid, and random people online actually like it too? wtfff. (not to mention the great friends i've made with this account, forever grateful for those)

every reblog, every comment, every message, every single anon flooding my inbox asking for a part two or to be tagged (anons asking about maneater, i see you🙄) or just stopping by to say something nice about my writing—it means the world. i'm not even kidding. y'all have no idea how much something so simple can make my day, and i'm sure it's the same for maaany other writers.

so, my advice? write for fun, write for yourself, and try not to have any expectations, especially if you're new here. let people get to know you. interact with other authors as much as you can. read others' work, make notes of what you like (and what you don't) if you're looking to improve/struggling with writer's block. and interact with their posts!! comment as much as you can, cause every writer needs feedback as much as you do. appreciate every single bit of feedback you get cause, often, the "quiet" readers are the ones who think about your fics all day (ME, IM TALKING ABOUT MYSELF, i may not always interact, but some of you should be writing books CAUSE????)

if you run into haters? block em skibidi toilets, delete their comments. don't waste your energy on someone hiding behind a screen just to spread negativity. you don't need that in your life. if they can't give you constructive criticism you don't need it, you don't know them personally so don't even take it to heart even if it's hard

it's an injustice your inbox is seemingly empty after you've just dropped two back to back bangers? hello??? so let me do the talking for the rest of us because my opinions and feedback are all objectively correct (i jest)

this isnt applicable just to these two recent fics but: i always love the way you write dialogue and especially the way you write settings/actions, it really situates me, as the reader, right in the middle of all the action. just little details really bring it all to life, like when they're talking at the beginning of pt 2 they're not just.. existing in the car, even them doing "nothing" has personality, like hyuck resting his head on his hand as he talks for example. it seems like something so insignificant but I really appreciate when writers add details like that, it all adds up to make a greater picture and it makes it so much more vivid. you definitely notice it's absence in other, less detailed, writing.

as for the sexy stuff......... my head was reeling from pt 1 and I didn't even expect a pt 2 so soon? it was so filthy (positive) only in a way tddyhyck could write it, yup yup. so much bodily fluid everywhere, as it should be. also I've never really read anything with the oppa kink going on but... you know what, I get it. perhaps you have indoctrinated me.

one of my favourite things about pt 1 was surprisingly the awkward ending? it just felt so real because, sometimes you get your nasty on with someone and at the end it's like... well, see you, I guess? but even then I could feel that it was more than just awkwardness between the two characters and I'm so glad it got elaborated on in pt 2. him being so willing to just pick her up. the subtle jealousy to then admitting he's jealous outright. why did the voicemail make me feel kinda sad for him... bro went from muttering horny shit to admitting this is actually a little bit real for him. and the ending too, poor hyuck. I would condemn y/n for being so flippant and afraid of commitment but as an avoidant attachment style... i get it. also her being that way makes for a more interesting story. speaking of interesting... the professor storyline was so unexpected but I'm so here for it. if only bro wasn't a micro...

genuinely curious how their relationship develops in pt 3 (if you do end up writing it after all, no pressure). haechan is already so obviously down bad, he'd perhaps force the confession out of y/n first? I feel like because he's wearing his heart on his sleeve he has "more to lose" than y/n. but I can also see y/n being stubborn to the bitter end and not caving to admit it until it's very much a moment of crisis.

I think I've rambled enough but tl;dr: tddyhyck good writer. sexy smut is sexy. looking forward to the next.

weirdly comforted by reading threads from english professors talking about the massive degradation in basic skills and ability to express oneself that they see in intro classes these days. work thats nearly impossible to even correct bc the issues are so systemic and mainly boil down to "you've never read anything."

i teach labs right now and i grade lab reports and other stuff from freshmen mostly in an intro bio class and this is like. a supposedly very prestigious liberal arts college (not naming names but it costs $90k a year to attend and is fairly selective). these kids are all telling me they're pre-med and double majoring in english and history or whatever and these are all supposedly smart kids, cream of the crop at their elite high schools type shit, and i feel very strongly that their BASIC writing skills (i mean "can i understand the point you're trying to make and does the sentence sound like a sentence," i don't grade for finesse on an intro lab report) are somehow worse than when i was a writing tutor at a community college like 10+ years ago.

i keep trying to convince myself that can't be the case, that all freshman college students are pretty bad writers, that this is where you learn to write, these are smart kids at a good school, maybe i'm just expecting too much, but like. nah, man, i get word salad from a good third of them, another third write like they THINK they're good but the content is not there (THAT i'm used to seeing) and the other third are like. fine. maybe less than a third are fine. it's rough out there.

anyway i find it reassuring that it's not me and apparently there's just an epidemic at colleges right now of kids that have never actually read anything longer than a paragraph in their lives and can't express a coherent thought, and apparently it's gotten much worse since covid, which i believe. my department is always having meetings where they discuss that based on huge amounts of data they collect every year, the kids have just been coming in way dumber and knowing way less, ever since covid.

anyway all you girlies out there poisoning the dash with completely dogshit x reader fic that you blaze and tag with 75 random tags, your writing is ass, but you can take solace in the fact that just by doing it at all you've probably made yourself a marginally better writer than any one of my students except [REDACTED] and [REDACTED], both of whom are smart but one of whom has a terrible attitude.

Hey Y’all!!

Here is the start of hopefully monthly updates. I know in my last update I said I was going to be more consistently here and active. Obviously, that didn’t happen lol. Trying to hold myself to that rn. So this is probably going to be the format for all of my update posts, just so they are easier to follow.

Refresh:

So I am almost completely done with the blog refresh. I think all that is left is updating links and getting some other posts (ex: theme days) made/redone. Most of that got put on the back burner due to how long they were going to take lol. But hopefully, over Spring Break, I’ll be able to get those done (no promises, another thing I’m trying to do, is be more realistic about what I want to get done by when so). 

Writing/Other Content:

Ik I said I’d write more. Once again didn’t really happen. Well, I have written a decent bit, but never finished anything. There is one fic that I am going to try and work on after this week (midterms lol) and have someone look over it (the first time I’ve had a beta reader, look at me go lol). Like the blog as a whole, I am trying to organize my writing, like requests and my ideas and what is going out when etc. (@ any of the other writers if you have any suggestions of what to/where to organize my stuff so it doesn’t get all confusing and mixed up you should def let me know). Speaking of requests, I am going to try and do at least two requests a month. That doesn’t sound like a lot but for me, that feels like something I can realistically do. I will be doing old requests first because even though they are years old at this point, I liked the ideas so I genuinely want to write them. I am still going to be accepting new requests (esp because sometimes that helps spark creativity/help with writer’s block so feel free to send in any ideas!!) but I will try to get those older ones done first. As for any other content (playlists, moodboards, IG edits, drawings, etc.) I am also taking requests for those so feel free to send in any of those requests too. 

Another Blog?!

As of rn the second hockey blog has not been “released”. I want to catch up on things for this blog before I throw that into the mix and try to grow that as well. I am hoping to add that sometime this summer. Also, I do technically have a sideblog already (@samistheman) which is normally where I reblog random things, and I don’t really have tags for that blog I just kinda willy-nilly reblog there (it used to be mostly PJO stuff but now that’s kind of here because of how much of it there is lol).

Life Update:

College is a lot rn. I’m doing 17 credit hours and tbh do not know what possessed me to do that. At first, I was doing pretty good, but now not so much. Like I said earlier I have midterms this week. If y’all didn’t know this, I’m shit at taking tests so not doing great rn. Thankfully one of my classes ends on Sunday so at least I don’t have to worry about that. I’ve had a lot going on in my personal life recently that is impacting a lot so trying to navigate that as well. I am moving out in May, which is yes months from now but there is still a lot that I need to do beforehand. Anyway, I’m going to a college hockey game on Thursday and I am super excited. I haven’t been able to go to a game since October. Also little fun update, I’m going on a weekend (work) trip to Boston. Super excited for that. I’ll be getting to go to a Celtics game and a Red Sox game (I’m a Royals girlie tho). I’ve never been to an NBA game so that’s for sure gonna be really cool. I’ve been to many MLB games before but this will be my first at a different stadium. Anyway, I think that is it for this update. Hope y’all are doing well!!

I will try hard to find other ways, and i'm not super into translations posted after the text, looks clunky, and not super into translations at the end, but yeah, to each their own

hii amelia, i've been really enjoying your fic process posts and i'm wondering if u have any advice for new-ish fic writers? i wrote a few one shots back in the days when i was really young and although im fond of them it's not great work. now that i'm writing a new one (landoscar brainrot has forced me to get back to writing) longer format too, i really want it to be good- i don't know how to make sure it isn't absolute shite before posting it because after rereading it a thousand time for editing my brain is incapable of telling whether it's any good. but anyways. if you have any wisdom or tips and tricks for writing/editing to share i'd be endlessly grateful 🥹💛

Hi lovely anon, thank you so much for sending this ask!

First of all, I just want to say how much I adore you for wanting to write and share it with people! It took me a very long time to get comfortable enough to share my work publicly and I still get really bad indigestion every time I'm about to post a fic because I'm convinced this will be the fic that makes everyone realize I'm actually a terrible writer. So I fear the feeling of "this is absolute shit and everyone will hate it" is maybe a permanent thing, at least for me.

BUT, I do have some tips for making sure things aren't "absolute shite" before posting (below the cut because it's a bit long).

First, taking some time away from a fic can be really helpful, just to be able to see the fic with fresh eyes. I know that can be hard because you want to just post things, but stepping back can help you come back and read the fic as a fresh reader.

Second, I always try to make sure everything's formatted correctly. So, proper dialogue tags (comma vs. period), sufficient line breaks, making sure a new character speaking or a new action is a new paragraph, etc. (here's a post I shared ages ago about proper fic formatting).

Third, and this is the most important to me especially with a longer fic, I try to think about whether any parts of the fic are boring. Not slow, but boring. Try and look at each scene and think "what is this scene trying to accomplish?" That can be a variety of things (character development, plot, character interactions). But once you feel like the scene has achieved that thing, it's okay to move on to a new scene. One of my biggest complaints about most fics, especially longer ones, is that scenes can feel draggy or repetitive of other scenes. I cut so many scenes from Learned Behavior because I realized I was only including them because I liked one little piece of dialogue from it or had some other attachment to a random thing about the scene. Don't be afraid to delete scenes by copy-pasting them into another Word doc or Google Doc tab. You might be able to rework them into something else later down the line, but not every scene you write needs to be in the final fic

Fourth, there is such a thing as over-editing! I, at least, edit so much as I write that most of the time the "first draft" is already pretty polished (like I wouldn't be horrified by posting my first draft). When I start spending ages editing, I often start making things worse because I'm overthinking every sentence and it stops flowing together and sounding like me. I try to remind myself that I wrote/edited the sentences in a certain way for a reason

Fifth, remember that this is just for fun! At the end of the day, "good" vs. "bad" art is highly subjective. My least favorite fic I've ever written is my second most popular fic, while my personal favorite will probably never come anywhere close to my most popular fic on AO3. It's also just really hard to judge objectively whether your work is good or bad! If you have a decent time reading it, then I'm sure other people will enjoy it too

Anyway, I'm so sorry for the ramble, but I Iove hearing that you want to share your fics! I have total faith they will not be absolute shite, and my inbox is always open to talk about writing 💕

How I found Carry On and its fandom – long answer because I love talking about myself.

I used to see Fangirl in bookshops all the time, when I was 14 or so, and I wanted to buy it every time, because a book about fanfiction? Sounded like my shit, but I never got to buying it for some reason.

While one of my best friends read and loved it, and when Carry On was published in Italy she read and loved it too, and probably told me “you should read it”. So it made my way into my TBR list, but I think I didn't really know what it was about, because when I grew older and deleted from my list all those books that I thought I wasn't interested in anymore (mainly books – at least the ones I hadn't read yet lol – that were super famous in the early to mid 2010s and all people in multifandom spaces seemed to have read but that felt stupid and boring to a 16yo me who was starting to read only Dostoyevsky), I deleted Fangirl and Carry On too.

I kept hearing about them from this friend (I didn't remember about it, but after reading WS I found out she has a rant about it on her Instagram page lmao) and on Instagram, but it never crossed my path intensely enough to convince me to buy it.

Then last year, around November or December, for a reason I don't remember Carry On was back on my TBR list – and it was on top of it! To the point that instead of remaining a book in a list, I even had it in my cart on some bookshop website. Maybe I had finally found out what it was about? Who knows. Anyway, I finally wanted to really buy it, but something kept stopping me.

Then last December this famous friend and I organised a “bookstagram” Advent Calendar – each day had a prompt and people posted a photo of a book that filled the prompt.

One day, someone posted a scene of RWRB. Now, RWRB had made its way to my list in the previous months, and that scene made me think “I definitely need to read it”. Put into cart, still didn't buy it.

Now we enter illegal book acquisition so yeah I hope David doesn't mind piracy hahaha. If he does mind I don't want to know

So, while RWRB and CO were in my cart waiting to be bought, I stumbled over a pdf copy of both of them. And one night at the end of January I started RWRB. It was the first, and up to now only, time I stayed up all night (like, not even going to sleep at 7am like I did the two times I was at a party/sleepover), and to finish a book.

I spend the following day, all day, explaining the plot to my best friend (not the CO one) because I needed to let it out and looking for fanart and incorrect quotes on Pinterest. And damn, I kept being bothered by stuff about Simon and Baz who are they can they kindly fuck off I'm here for Alex and Henry only. But from what Pinterest was showing me, they seemed interesting. So I googled and wow! They were the main characters of Carry On! And I had a pdf copy of it

Hence another night of intense reading (this time I didn't stay up all night – just up to chapter 61), followed by a day I spent finishing CO and reading WS.

And that's the story. But I'm not going to shut up.

Then I spent more time on Pinterest. And this time I kept being annoyed by a caption that read “you need to read rebel, rebel, it's the perfect fic”. I – as I've said many times – had never been a fanfiction reader, I could count the random stuff (that I read because I found it linked on Instagram or something like that) I've read before 2021 on my fingers. But I was curious, and needed to get my head off WS, so I tried it. And then I couldn't let go, I clicked on the Snowbaz tag and started reading most of the fic from the last published and backwards.

And I read, I read, I read, and I felt that I wanted to write fics again. (I had stopped writing fics intensely in 2016/2017, and the last last I'd written had been in 2018.) But I was in a phase where I thought “my writer block that started in 2018 doesn't even let write my original stuff, why should I waste time on other people's characters?”, so I resisted the urge to write fics. Until I read Every Line Lost by NineMagicks and I couldn't take it anymore.

I opened a doc and I started writing – in English, for the first time – a fanfiction masked by different names and some original details. (Like, I refused to write fics so I gave the characters new names but they were still Baz and Penny, and then I would've introduced Simon.)

And I kept reading fics until I finally gave in and started plotting a proper Snowbaz fic. Which brought me to Tumblr to look for beta readers.

And then I made a mutual, and we became instantly friends, and she offered to beta and then forced me to start reblogging and posting on Tumblr instead of lurking. And I did, and then I found one of aralias's invites to the Discord server. And I probably wouldn't have joined if the week before I hadn't played D&D with my best friend's friends, and they'd told me “since you don't live here we can continue the session on Discord when you're back home”, so I had downloaded it. So when I saw aralias's invite I was like, fuck it.

The rest is history.

Quick question to my fellow fanfic writers. Do you write y/n, reader and picture yourself or do you write a “loose” (for lack of a better word) version that can be applied to most other people. This isn’t a critique question, I just genuinely don’t remember fanfics 5 years ago being so personal. Like I get it, we all wanna write a good, long book butttttt we have lost direction of the definition of a self-insert. Bc I feel like whether reader is a good cook, doesn’t like coffee, or is described as a size somewhere between 10 and 16 is very much something that is notttt in works of fanfics. What happened to just putting OC in the tags. Because a lot of authors as of late put so much specific things about the reader that it takes so much out. 1) What is the main lesson of your story (e.g. kindness, diversity, anti-war), and why did you choose it?

There isn't any that I'm currently planning on having. Whether I'll find one on the way or not is still up for debate. I'm not giving lessons, I'm just throwing awful people in the same general area and looking at what they do.

2) What did you use as inspiration for your worldbuilding (like real-life cultures, animals, famous media, websites, etc.)?

There's definitely the. General european fantasy setting you'd expect from a european writer, i guess.

Although this place's worldbuilding is, specifically, based on a no-fun-allowed discussion I've had with my sister AGES ago when I was a teenager. What if it had magic, but was an awful fucking place ?

Idk. I tend to pick inspiration from a lot of places and it's hard for me to pinpoint one thing exactly. I can tell you when rereading that "ah, i probably picked that bit up from Ewilan" or "oh, this is absolutely because I hated X thing in les Chevaliers d'Emeraude", or even "oh okay this whole dye business is absolutely because of some of the classes i had".

Definitely, the fact that Monthaut is known for its high quality wool fabric is because of my classes.

3) What is your MC trying to achieve, and what are you, the writer, trying to achieve with them? Do you want to inspire others, teach forgiveness, help readers grow as a person?

She's trying to achieve having a stable life for once, and once she gets at she's trying to keep it no matter what it takes.

I'm trying to see how interesting I can make that while sometimes the secondary characters are doing most of the stuff.

I have no idea ! Several, definitely ! I've written, uh, 8 of them so far. We're not past the halfway point. So at least double that ?

Original content. I don't plan on posting it, but on hopefully going the traditional publishing route.

6) When and why did you start writing?

Good question ! A long time ago is the best i can do.

I do think I used to write random snippets when i was a very young kid, just for fun, to entertain myself. Then it was writing stories with my younger sister, just for the both of us.

We'd always find ways to put links to each other's stuff in our writings. Were our main characters actually related ? Did they just know each other for whatever reason ? Etc.

7) Do you have any words of engagement for fellow writers of Writeblr? What other writers of Tumblr do you follow?

Uhh... I consider myself to be a little bit to the left from writeblr because this is just my personal blog, man. I just happen to be a writer and an artist.

A lot of my friends tend to be these things too, altho I'm not super sure they'd consider themselves part of writeblr (hi Mal my beloved, Jo, Zach!, Alren); so I'm not tagging them here. Again, don't know if that'd bother them.

Hey there. It's kinda random to share this info with you, and I don't know who else to really go to, but I decided that I want to quit writing (I realized that while taking a break). The activity doesn't really make me happy anymore, I'm not progressing, I don't really have any friends (and I can't see myself making any), and a story I worked really hard on bombed big time (all my stories recently have). I've been told by my one friend (I have a total of 2) that "oh people do care look how many likes and reblogs you get" (which really aren't many) and I went along with that thought for really long time now until I slowly realized that a majority of the people who like and reblog my content are from the tags itself and aren't following me (my main followers on my blog could care less as they don't even follow me for writing reasons and probably wish I would stop ruining their timeline with my shit). Maybe this is an ungrateful way to think, but if those people truly cared about me or my content or to see my work and watch me progress as a writer they would follow my blog, but they don't and we're not friends or mutuals, so they don't. After losing two of the most popular writers on Tumblr as friends I'm slowly realizing how much pain and sorrow the activity has truly brought me. All the crying I've done because of it. I kinda hate and resent it and wish I never did it in the first place. I would have those friends back if I didn't. Trust me, any popular writer in my position would do the same thing if the roles were reserved.

I’m sorry that things have been so rough for you lately. I’ve understand some of what it feels like to pour your heart and soul into something only for others to not appreciate its value or how much it meant to to you. It can be difficult for readers to understand just how personal creating stories or art or even memes are for the person behind the screen.

The lack of regard for such hard work can be extraordinarily frustrating and demoralizing. Resenting the people around you and your work is a natural result of what you’re experiencing.

I know it can suck to not get the recognition for your creations and posts from your blog, but the fact that people going through the tags like/reblog your posts is a good sign.

Hopefully, things will get better for you soon. I’m rooting for you, and you are always allowed to talk to me if it helps. Taking a break may be good and allow you to sort out through what’s difficult for you or relieve some stress.
