ok but like- i'm surprised when u said “‘wendy?’ ‘hello peter pan.’” wasn't as popular as the others. last night i spent good 5 mins crying over the fic at 1AM aksfjdjsafjsa it was so goooodddd ;w;

First of all!! Aaaah, I’m really happy it emotionally moved you 😭 I might sound like a sadist but I truly am happy when people talk about how they cry because of it. It was meant to be a piece that made one cry (I’ve talked about it before but even I cried so much that by my final edits—my eyes would just burn because I had no tears left...)

I’ve also mentioned it before, but I think genres or themes (like erotica and angst--amongst others) are the best way to gauge one’s writing skill or ability because--these are the themes that test a writer’s ability to make the audience feel for the characters and story. It’s also why I enjoy hearing people’s thoughts on “‘wendy?’ ‘hello peter pan.’” I’m not saying I don’t enjoy hearing about my other pieces, it’s just that I know “wendy” and, by extension, “rather be” are pieces that really tested my skills (all pieces have their own difficulties, but i definitely struggled the most with those two). Anyways, it’s because I think highly of erotica and angst (again, amongst other genres/themes), that I’m more emotionally invested in the response I get from both pieces. It’s why I’m just a little more aware, and a little more excited--especially when “wendy” gets mentioned. I love stories that make me cry, so I wanted to write something that could move someone to tears too :,) 

Regarding why I think “‘wendy?’ ‘hello peter pan.’” is one of my more unpopular pieces. I’ll have to refer to the number of notes it has in comparison to the other pieces I have written that includes all seven dorm leaders. “i can hold the world in my hands” has 600+, “do you even lift bro?” has about 400+ (it came out right before “wendy”), and “you are the best thing that’s ever been mine” (which came out after “wendy”) has 400+ too. While “wendy” is still at around 100+ notes. 

I won’t lie, it does frustrate me a little. I wish “wendy” was able to impact more people because of how precious it is to me. However, I really think that’s because I’m trying to apply a numerical value to it, that I’m judging it based on its notes. What should be important is this--

It’s more my fault really? I keep thinking about the number of notes it has--when really what’s more important is how the people who have read it (and all my other stories), felt. It’s difficult to unlearn the notion of ‘the more notes the better’. It’s something I’m trying to unlearn--and it’s certainly a work in progress. A part of me will always try to compare my stories against one another, which is unfair to them because they’re all very unique and shouldn’t be compared using the same standard.  

IN CONCLUSION--

I don’t want anyone to think that I care less about any of the other pieces I’ve written. I cherish them all, and I love how each one has tested me and helped me polish my own abilities. Sure, I keep saying how aware and excited I get when “wendy” is brought up, but I genuinely feel invigorated whenever someone reblogs and leaves me a special note in the tags or comments in the chat section (?) of the post for all my stories. 

At the end of the day, what is important is not how many people have read my work but rather how people felt when reading my stories. 

I probably sound incredibly idealistic lmao, but sometimes you just got to be. I’ll continue to try and not dwell too much on the numbers and focus instead on the impact that my works have had to the people who do read them. What matters is that I love doing what I do--and that, that feeling gets across to the people who have enjoyed all my stories. 

I apologize for this word vomit. In writing this, I rediscovered what is truly important when it comes to writing. I kept worrying about the numbers, but this question really helped me think about it and internalize my worries.

This one goes to my dear jamil stans 😘 @justkazuki @yandere-of-your-dreams @athaliesworld Pspspsps come get your man fam-

A simple mistake in the chemistry lab can lead to great consequences, right? And for our poor Jamil, all it takes is to team up with the careless Kalim and failing to stop him from accidentally throwing the blue butterfly wings into the potion pot. Of course, Jamil is dutied to protect kalim at all cost so all he can do is to shelter Kalim with his own body right before the potion explodes.

You run to the source of explosion and let out a scream as you find nothing but Jamil's empty clothes fallen all over Kalim. Oh god, what has happened to Jamil?? Poor Kalim isn't any better either, oh god, what has he done!? What if, what if Jamil's gone because of him?

You're about to lose your mind and Kalim is going to cry while you see something moving under all that is left from Jamil, something small yet...long. You dare picking up a piece of clothing from the ground and throw it away just to scream at what you find: A snake...!

And it's no ordinary snake, it's Jamil. Your 175 cm tall lover is now nothing but a small, unfriendly snake twirling right in front of you on the ground.

You immediately call for Professor Crewel to help you with the amall snake Jamil has turned into, now what should you do? Will he ever return to his original form? Or are you stuck with this hissing creature which is supposed to replace your man for eternity?

Thankfully, Crewel states that the potion's effect would be temporary, but he's got no idea on when Jamil might return to his original form.

You can't just leave him on his own, so you carefully pick the angry snake up and put him on shoulder, making the snake wrap himself around your neck and form a snake scarf around it. And that's how you're stuck with Jamil the snake for the rest of the evening.

It's a bit weird having to carry a snake around your neck all day, but you've got to admit that it was somehow pleasurable on its own. They say that communicating with animals can be quite hard, but you seem to be doing all cool with Jamil the snake:

"Okay so, you want anything?" "SsssssssSSSssssssSsssss" "Very well then."

You have to go through some hard time trying to convince anyone that's pops up through your way that the snake isn't choking you. Some even try to get him off your neck and kill him but no, that's a NO. There's no way that you'll let them kill your man, even if he's stuck on(?/ this snake form right now.

When you manage to get return him to Scarabia in safety, you get to his room and place him on bedsheets, staring at Jamil the snake for some time wondering what you should be doing with him. It's hard to pet a snake but, maybe you can try?

You learn that apparently snakes don't really like being patted on head, though they do enjoy it when you softly caress them with a hand. His rough skin is a bit cold and is somehow pleasant to touch, you can't believe that you're being this close to a snake. He seems to be a quite curious one so you have to catch from falling off the bed whenever he's moving around too much. You decide to keep playing with your little friend so he won't be trying to escape anymore.

You don't want to make him angry so you let him play as he wants; You allow him to wrap his long tail around your arm and slither up to your shoulder, then moving all the way down your other arm as if it's a roller coaster ride.

It's normally uncomfortable having animals squint all over you like this, but Jamil is an exception. Though he looks nothing similar to his original form in through this snake shell, you can somehow tell that he won't do you any harm. Moreover, you have to admit that he's a pretty cute snake. Perhaps you could've kept him like this forever if you didn't want your lovely man back as soon as possible.

You keep on playing with him all afternoon until you get really tired. Even the snake doesn't seem to be moving around as much as before and you can tell that he as well is tired. You lay him next to yourself on the pillow, wrapping a blanket around yourself and watch Jamil the snake wrapping his tail around himself as he is going to sleep as well.

You would've been pretty scared if it was a normal snake, but it is Jamil, the loveliest snake you'd ever get to find in the whole world and just as said, you trust him. You know that staying this close to him would be no dangerous.

Snakes are told to be unable of feeling love or affection, but damn, you only had this little one for less than a day and you already feel attached to Jamil's snake form.

"H-hey, you probably won't understand this but, love you my adorable snake," you slowly say before planting a small kiss on his head, careful enough not to wake him up or make him angry, though you are pretty sure that he won't really mind you touching him anyway.

When you wake up in the morning, you turn your head to say hi to your little snake but instead sleeping Jamil with you in bed. You suddenly blush so hard, and put a hand on your mouth trying not to scream. He looks so peaceful and... beautiful while asleep. You don't want to risk waking him up by getting out of bed but the thought of staying in the same bed as him until he wakes up is way too embarrassing.

Oh god, what should you do now? Else than that, you're probably going to have a long day explaining all that has happened to Jamil when he gets up.

ehehe~ I wrote this a while back for a bunch of jamil stans and decided to post it for sabotage purposes. don't mind me, @justkazuki @athaliesworld

Prompt: A kiss that is leading to more, but is interrupted by a third party.

Jamil was embarrassed to admit it but he was inexperienced when it came to kissing. He was far too busy with Kalim and his personal plans to even think about those sorts of stuff. He deemed them worthless and a waste of time— though that all changed when you came into the picture.

You barged into his life, uninvited with that obnoxious personality of yours that always seems to collide with his. He hated your presence at first and pushed you away every time you tried getting close to him. Though with time and your constant persistence, you grew on him— forcefully opening the gates to his heart that he kept closed for so long. Needless to say, it was hard for him when he realized that he was in love with you.

Yet here he was, pinning you underneath him on his own bed. Staring at those irresistible lips of yours, he was about to lose all control. The only thing stopping him was your blank expression, still processing the whole situation inside your mind. Surely, you knew what this meant, right? Jamil wondered, his grip on your softening as he slowly came to his senses. He let out a soft gasp as he immediately let you go, backing away a few steps.

Regret suddenly dawned on Jamil, scolding himself for losing control of his desires so easily. You clicked your tongue when you realized he pulled away, did he just give you false hope? You've been losing your head over this snake ever since you fell in love with him— persistently bugging him with the smallest things in hopes to get closer to him. And when it seemed like your efforts were about to be paid off, he pulled away— crushing your hopes.

It was an understatement to say that you were a bit upset, you were being pushed to your limit. "So about what just happened, I'm so-!?" Before Jamil could even let out a proper sentence, you grabbed his collar and crashed your lips against his. An aggressive kiss if you might describe it, sloppy and inexperienced. Jamil was shocked at first, panic rising from the pit of his stomach but soon melted into the kiss as well.

You pulled away from the kiss momentarily, gasping for air but soon locked your lips with his once again. Your bodies pressed together, desperate for more skin contact— deepening the kiss even further. Jamil licked your bottom lip as if he was asking for entrance, your face went even hotter at this point and closed your eyes. You could feel Jamil's hand play with the hem of your shirt, his hand creeping underneath.

'Don't tell me…!' You could already feel yourself getting excited for what was about to happen next until Kalim barged into Jamil's room without any warning whatsoever. "Yo, Jamil! Ah-" You pushed away Jamil aggressively, a furious red dusting your cheeks as you desperately tried to act natural. Jamil stumbled, his back hitting the wall. He clutched his head in pain, asking himself what the hell just happened.

He shot Kalim a deadly glare, Kalim could tell that he messed up— real bad. Kalim could only let out a nervous laugh. "Ehehehe… it seems like I interrupted something…"

• enters classrooms (and field) with a whoosh of his fabulous cloak (none of the students freak out, they can hear his measured steps from the hall)

1. I first learned about Twisted Wonderland right around the time Scarabia was released, however I didn’t think much of it since there was still not enough info for me to obsess over research. A few months later I checked back in to see how far along the game had come, right after Diasomnia was released, and that’s when I finally dove into the tw tumblr cult.

2. I started working on Blue’s design before I made this blog. She was supposed to only be a mascot of sorts to support the tw character Headcanons and writing, but along the way friends started referring to me as “Blue” and she ended up evolving into my self insert.

3. Back when we still thought Night Raven was a college, Pennly (the Pinocchio oc I need to draw more of) was supposed to come and live with Blue after the death of his father, Jim-Peter. Within the time that follows he was going to learn that he actually wasn’t a real boy, but still a wooden puppet (back then Blue could only use illusion magic, this was one such illusion) and that Blue had considered stripping his soul away so he wouldn’t have to face the reality of him not being able to grow up as a regular person (something she regretted dearly). The idea was to point out how Gepetto’s wish could go wrong, while also acknowledging the Blue Fairy’s lack of foresight, and how that could effect the young boy.

but the deadline has since passed and now neither i (nor the public) will get to know what was in that poem i wrote. it was titled ‘Sleeping’, so it must have been some good shit. or at least, i hope?? i can only hope lol
