You can make the Agni Kai between Ozai and Zuko work in two ways:

Zuko disobey's Ozai's order to fight and Ozai punishes him for it - the scar is a result of that punishment.

Zuko obeys his father and fights which leads to Ozai (not holding back) absolutely trashing him because he is much more skilled - the scar is a result of that fight.

But trying to combine both makes it a much weaker scene. Pick one and commit.

THIS IS SO REAL BAHSHAHSHHA Kai having trouble restarting his fire powers but then his family gets put in fatal danger and have used every last trick and he Becomes Insane I guess. SERIOUSLY THO WHY DID HIS EYES TURN RED THE ONLY OTHER TIME THAT HAPPENED WAS WHEN HE WAS BEING POSSESSED BY CHENS STAFF.... 👀👀 did the elemental power take hold of him too strongly then? Because I feel like maybe. all that fire. wasn't very healthy for His Body. Like I think this may have various adverse effects. But the concept of being so consumed by your elemental power due to emotions/adrenaline/access to a lot of elemental power (both with Chen's staff and with the buildup from his unused fire) and it just. BURSTING out of you and the emotion taking control of your actions is very compelling. It worked in his favor here, bc the strong emotion was Him Being Insane About His Family, but we've seen him be consumed by a negative emotion this same way.

Also, Kai's the only one this has happened to, BOTH times. Idk, I thought it was cool.

i have been waiting for this for AGES and im honestly so excited fbshahahsjd its like ive been waiting, and i didnt even know i was going to the show until a week ago now Which Is Crazy

but anyway, just woke up. it was like 7:20am? i woke up with a stomach ache, went to the bathroom, felt better, um and ive scrolled through all the videos of melb n1 on instagram and tiktok. it’s now 8:12am! my dad wants me to mow the front lawn & the nature strip before i go to the train station at 2pm for the concert (where im meeting my friends), so i gotta do that in like an hour! now i think im gonna try go back to sleep for one more hour bc i need the rest lmao

i need us to meet liliana soon. i need to know what people are thinking of, now, when they look at imogen's face and go "oh, liliana's child". i need to know if they're just categorizing features- nose, eyes, a set to the jaw. i need to know if they see the steely desperation in her posture, the way she minces around her words, and are seeing an echo of someone else. i need to know if they see the hair and the scars and a thirst for answers that borders on lethal, superimposed across someone else.
