Word Count: 1,810 words
Summary: While Chargebolt and Tigress are fighting a group of villains, Tigress takes a hit for Chargebolt. It results in a concussion and Kirishima having to stand guard.
Ichijiku (Tigress)
It’s overcast and smells like lavender the day I lose my mind. Denki draws a bath with lavender epsom salts prepared after the humid day of patrolling results in a grimy, sore body.
“C’mon, Ichichan, Shinsou said the smells would help.” He pulls on my arm. “Please?”
I stand and stare at the tub of water, unmoving. Denki pulls me again and I shift forward a few steps.
“Ichi, please.” His hand caresses my cheek.
I tilt my head as I look at him. Lavender invades my nostrils and my head throbs with splitting pain, pulling a shriek from my chest. Denki tries to soothe me, but it’s too late.
My head cracks against the sink before darkness swallows me.
. . . . .
5 hours earlier. . .
“Chargebolt, how many volts do you think you’ve got left?” I bark across the street, flipping around the large teddy bear villain in front of me.
“Ehh…heh…a couple hundred…or twelve.” His laughter tells me all I need to know as he bobs and weaves around his attacker.
He’s getting low on energy. A few more low-level bursts or one high-level and he’s done! We have to figure out how– But there’s no time to think. Teddy Bear lands a hit that sends me careening back into a nearby bench. Pain crackles all through my back, but I grunt and force myself to my feet.
“Don’t you know when to quit?” Teddy Bear laughs, suddenly pinning me down. My muscles strain and I grit my teeth to keep his weight from crushing me. “You ever heard of mind control, kid? Once your electric friend goes stupid, his mind’ll be easier for my pal to take over with just one dart! And you’re gonna lay here and watch!”
Like hell I am! I twitch under his weight before unleashing a roar through my mask. As expected, my quirk compels him to run. I’m freed from my prison, and as soon as I see Denki in the sights of a man with a dart, I bolt across the street and shove him to the ground.
“Chargebolt, you have to call Cranium for help. This guy can–” I stop.
Denki looks at me with horror, before rushing the guy throwing darts.
“Attack him.” The man smirks.
I do. No! No, stop! We can’t do this. Not to Denki! How do we stop it? There’s got to be some rules. Denki, call Cranium! I plead in my head, while my body leaps at him. I’ve got him pinned and he starts begging.
“Tigress, please! It’s me!”
Seeing his pleading face, I focus hard on keeping my body still. I can’t fully shake the mind control, but I manage to stall myself long enough for Denki to turn the tables and get me on my back.
“Cranium? Yes! You’re in the area?” Denki’s phone is out and he’s shouting directions to Shinsou as Teddy Bear and his pal tear down the street. “Tigress was hit with a dart. Come find us when you’re done, please!”
With no directions to follow, I sigh and look up at the sky overrun by clouds.
“Tigress, come on.” Denki slowly starts moving off of me. When I make no movement, he pulls at my arm to help me up. “Tigress? Sweet! I guess you’re better now, huh?”
I stare wordlessly at him. He extends a hand to me, which I take.
“Are you okay?” He asks, leading me down the street.
A few civilians watch on, whispering as their eyes stay focused on the two of us. I don’t say a word, following the trail of our two attackers.
“I know that must have been tough. But you can’t just keep it all bottled up, you know? You gotta let it all out of you, otherwise you’ll just explode.” Denki nudges me. “You know you can talk to me, love. We’re in this together.”
Still, I say nothing. I look down at my feet as I trudge forward with him. Right, left, right, left. If I could answer you, I would. But I took that dart in the leg, and now I’ve failed you. Don’t be so hard on yourself, Little One.
Silence stretches between us until we see a familiar tangled mess of purple hair walking in our direction. His mask covers his face, but it doesn’t hide the concern on his expression.
“Chargebolt! I’ve got those two under control. They weren’t much of a threat once I used my quirk.” Shinsou takes a step closer to me and looks me over. “It looks like Tigress doesn’t have any directions to follow, but right now that means she’s just a hollow shell. She won’t be a threat, but we need to find a way to bring her mind back.”
“Huh? I thought she was fine? She’s been kinda quiet but…” Denki turns to me and clarity dawns on him. “Oh, shit. How are we going to bring her back? Will she be stuck like this forever?”
“Unlikely. Worst case scenario? It’s long-term and takes a while for the dart to wear off. But I’ve learned a few things from my own quirk about what helps people take back control.” Shinsou waves a hand in front of my face. I mimic the motion. “Yeah. She’s basically just copying our motions at this point. Let’s get her somewhere safe before I start telling you how to help. Too many civilians right now.”
. . . . .
For the next few hours, I’m left in Denki’s agency under the watchful eye of Kirishima.
“She’s not a threat right now, but at least until I finish up my patrol, can you keep an eye on her? I’m hoping the quirk wears off, but I don’t want to take a chance of leaving her without a guardian in case the opposite happens.” Denki runs his fingers through my hair as I scout the lobby.
“Dang, this sucks. So, she can’t recognize us anymore?” Kirishima frowns.
“She can recognize us, but she’s not in control of her body functions.” Shinsou reassures. “It’s similar to my quirk. Your mind is still your own for the most part. I don’t control your thoughts, just your actions.”
“So she has to watch herself be a completely different person?!”
“In essence, yes. But once we get done with patrol, we’ll go to the store and Chargebolt can grab some items to help with her status. Try talking to her about things only the two of you would know. It might help her break the control easier.” Shinsou advises.
And then they’re gone.
Kirishima remains quiet and awkward after the two heroes leave. I sit obediently in my chair. Every few moments my body instinctively glances around, but otherwise I’m motionless.
“Hm, this is really weird to witness. Usually you’re so mobile!” Kirishima finally sits beside me, crossing his arms. “Hey! Remember that time you were getting so excited during our Mario Kart tournament that you knocked over Bakugo’s tea? I’ve never seen him look so guilty for yelling at someone when you started crying! But boy did he pay for it later when you let loose your tiger on him.”
I blink at him with a neutral expression. I remember! I felt so bad for knocking it over. I think that’s why I didn’t mind ripping him a new one later.
It goes like this for a while until Shinsou and Denki return. Denki disappears for a few minutes in the back and then walks out in his casual attire. Shinsou hands Kirishima several bags.
“This is for Chargebolt. Make sure he gets these when he comes out. I have to head out, but I’ll keep you updated if he doesn’t.” Shinsou fist bumps Kirishima before stepping out.
When Denki makes it to my side, Kirishima hands him the bags.
“Shinsou told me to give these to you. Do you need help getting her home?”
“Nah, I should be fine. I want to try these remedies right away.”
“Okay, if you’re sure. Keep me updated, okay?”
. . . . .
Present
It’s overcast and smells like lavender the day I lose my mind. Denki draws a bath with lavender epsom salts prepared after the humid day of patrolling results in a grimy, sore body. That stupid Teddy Bear gave me a run for my money. He hit so hard! Ugh.
“C’mon, Ichichan, Shinsou said the smells would help.” He pulls on my arm. “Please?”
I stand and stare at the tub of water, unmoving. Denki pulls me again and I shift forward a few steps. Come on, please! We have to get back in our right mind.
“Ichi, please.” His hand caresses my cheek. A muscle twitches in my cheek and my finger spasms.
I tilt my head as I look at him. Lavender invades my nostrils and my head throbs with splitting pain, pulling a shriek from my chest. Denki tries to soothe me, but it’s too late.
My head cracks against the sink before darkness swallows me.
When I wake up, I grunt and look over to find Recovery Girl at my bed.
“She has a mild concussion it seems like, so make sure you notify me the second she wakes up.” She tells Denki.
“Denki…?” I whimper, blinking. How did I get here?
“Ichichan!” Denki rushes to my side and grabs my hand. “You’re back! You can talk again!”
Talk again? What…wait! I wince as memories from earlier flutter through my mind. I struggle, but I raise my arm and flex my fingers.
“I can…move.” I sigh happily, before sharp pain sparks through my temple. “Is the mind control why my head hurts?”
“Mind control? You didn’t tell me about that, Denki!” Recovery Girl smacks my husband with her cane. “You didn’t think that it was pertinent to tell me that whenever she had a concussion?!”
“I didn’t think about it!” Denki shields himself. “I was already worried.”
For the next few moments, Recovery Girl goes through a series of questions with me. Apparently, they’re meant to test my short-term and long-term memory, as well as my ability to complete complex tasks. When I pass those, I’m told to walk down the hall of our house.
“With some rest, she should be fine, Denki.” Recovery Girl says at the end of it all. “But keep an eye on her and make sure she’s not doing strenuous tasks.”
“Got it!”
Once she steps out, I instantly find Denki’s chest to sink into. My arms squeeze him tight.
“I’m sorry.”
“It wasn’t you, lovely. I’m not holding it against you.” Denki sighs in relief and then pulls back to kiss my forehead. “The lavender must have worked then. What do you have that smells like lavender?”
“It’s in the pillow mist you use to help you fall asleep.”
“How’d you know that?”
“I hug your pillow when you’re gone and I miss you.”

Commission for @laurenmarieie
They requested an OC x Kaminari love letter with nsfw, I took the personal liberality to make this a proposal letter instead of a confessional.
Warnings: I don’t know how I ended up writing erotic poetry but yeah, erotic poetry, also if you disagree with Kaminari being actually well read and a poetic romantic then keep it to yourself
Pairing: Denki Kaminari x Tenchu Yaoyorozu (OC)
Why he writes it.
It’s been a long time coming honestly, you don’t date someone since you were second year and well past graduation when you’re both established in your respective fields without falling madly in love and wanting to marry them all the time. At least that’s how it feels for him and in his experience he has a much better time explaining his depth of feelings through written word. It’s something they share, plus isn’t it cute? He leaves her love notes all the time! Isn’t it special to expect a silly note and find his proposal instead?
How the letter actually looks.
He’s quite the romantic at heart, but no one until Tenchu has given him the opportunity to romance them like this. He pulls out all the stops on this one. Careful calligraphy that he’s perfected over time, on special vintage style writing paper with the gold trimming on bordering it. Spritzed with her favorite cologne of his and tucked into a white envelope, sitting on her writing desk with a rose laid across it.
How he gives it to Tenchu.
He doesn’t make it a big secret she needs to find out like some might. They’re the anxious type and he doesn’t want them worrying themselves into insecurities they’ve worked passed. Instead he says he’s left something on her desk accidentally and since it’s not uncommon for him she shrugs it off. Only to be surprised with his gift and then him knelt with a ring when she’s finished reading it.
What it says
How should I even start this?
Should I compare you to a muse that inspires me?
You’re so much more to me.
Should I compare your beauty to that of goddess?
It wouldn’t land quite right because you are a goddess in my eyes.
Should I tell you how I live to adore and worship you?
How the sweet nectar that flows from between the plump lips between your thighs is enough to nourish my for days?
How your touch makes me ache and yearn for relief, for release in that sacred place you’ve allowed me entry?
Ask for forgiveness that I so greedily spoil myself on you and hardly ever allow you to return the favor?
I’m sure you know, and I’m sure you don’t mind.
I’m certain as well, that you believe yourself to be the selfish one. You’re not princess.
Selfish is the man before you who takes the treasures of having you as a wife without gracing you with the title.
So Tenchu Yaoyorozu, please do me the honor of calling you my wife. Will you marry me?

"We should play truth or dare!" Mina said excitedly, we all hesitantly agreed after a lot of persuasion. We sat in a circle in the center of the basement, all of us changed and ready for bed but too awake after a day of fun. "Okay, rules are simple. Spin the flat iron, whoever the corded end lands on has to answer truth or dare but if they choose to back out, they have to take a sip of the concoction of death!" I looked at the half full red solo cup on the end table, a mix of soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, ketchup, mustard, salsa, apple juice, hot sauce, ginger salad dressing and lemon juice sitting intimidatingly by itself. All of us had emergency drinks just in case so we wouldn't upchuck anything, but also an emergency trash can on standby. "I'll go first!" She leaned forward and spun the straightener, the object pointing to Kirishima. "Truth or dare!"
"Ah, shoot, uh, truth I guess?" He blurted out, clearly unprepared for whatever the girl might have in store.
"Boringgg! Fine, uh, if you were to get any piercing, what would it be?" Kirishima thought about this for a moment.
"Probably my eyebrow." The girl nodded in approval before Kiri spun, Denki up next. "Alright, truth or dare man?"
"I'm not scared, I'll go with dare." He said with a smirk, leaning back on his palms.
"Alright, I dare you to burp the alphabet without throwing up." Denki went upstairs and came back with a can of soda.
None of us could contain our laughter as he finished it without puking. I excused myself to go grab a soda as well after asking Sero, needing something to help me sleep tonight. I came back down and saw Mina and Sero dancing.
"I dared them to a dance off, to see who would fail first at copying the others move." Denki filled me in and I nodded, watching as Mina won Sero's dare.
I didn't get a turn for a while, somehow the flat iron always landing on Mina or Denki rather than me, until it did.
"Tsukababes! Finally! Truth or dare?"
"Easy, truth. I don't trust where you would take a dare." She poured but nodded.
"Who do you like?" She asked without missing much of a beat.
'I should've thought this through more.'
All eyes were on me and the sip of death looked tempting right now.
"A guy." I finally spluttered out. Sero snorting out laughter at my aversion.
"Well duh, but that's not who."
"Eh, it counts. Me saying 'a guy' is a valid answer because it's a key descriptor and definer of the 'who' which is what you were asking. If you wanted me to say the person, then you should've asked something else." She glared and pointed a finger at me. I spun the straightener and it landed on Kiri. "Truth or dare, bro?"
"I trust you Tsukabro, so dare."
"I dare you to let Mina do your makeup." Mina squealed in excitement and dug out her makeup. As she was doing his, we continued playing. He spun the flat iron before she even started, the appliance landing on Mina.
"Truth or dare, Min."
"Dare, duh."
"I dare you not to do my makeup." She groaned and put all of her stuff back.
"You're no fun!" She pouted but spun her straightener anyways, almost bouncing with joy when it landed on Denki. "Someone fun! Truth or dare!"
"Obviously dare. C'mon you already knew that." She got a glint in her eye and I immediately felt concerned on the multitude of ways she could take this.
"I dare you to kiss who you think the hottest person in the room is. Of course, only if they're okay with it." Everyone was watching what his next move would be.
I stared at my lap, not wanting to know who he would choose until I felt a familiar hand on top of mine. I glanced up at him and nervously licked my lips like earlier. We were already sitting fairly close, not letting the awkward tension break our normal.
"Is this okay?" His voice was soft and quiet, a mere whisper but I heard it all the same. My eyes glanced down to his lips without thinking and I nodded.
His free hand came up and cupped my cheek before leaning in. I met him in the middle, finally working up the courage to lean forward as well. Every bit of it felt like fireworks erupting inside my entire body. It was slow and gentle, our lips slowly moving together after a moment and he pulled away. My face and neck were bright red as was his. We stared at each other for a minute, trying to figure out what this meant and where we stood, my mind all over the place. Without looking, I knew Mina got a picture of it. Slowly, he moved back into his spot fully but his hand stayed on mine.
"It's my turn next, yeah?" Denki broke the silence and spun the hair straightener, the object pointing to Sero. "Truth or dare, man?"
"After the last dare, I'm going with truth cause the only one I wanna kiss is Todoroki." I bit back a giggle but nodded in respect.
"Is your binder still on?" Sero's eyes darted to the floor at the question, giving a clear answer. "Go take it off and put on a hoodie, please." Sero looked torn but I was slightly confused.
"Can I ask a question? Cause I'm a little lost." The pair of best friends nodded. "Is it bad if you wear it for too long?" Sero sighed and sadly nodded.
"Yeah, if I wear it too long it can cause some damage to my ribs. I'm already pushing it with wearing it during hero training." He said in a dull tone, a complete opposite to how he usually is.
"Go take it off, okay? Trust me, broken ribs are not fun. You're still a man, nothings gonna change that, but hurting yourself is only going to make things worse." He sighed and stood up, going up the stairs and coming down a few minutes later in a very baggy hoodie.
"It's off." He stated in a somber voice.
"You know we only push it because we care bro, yeah?" Sero nodded, confirming Kiri's words.
"If it makes you feel any better, apparently I have the biggest chest here." My comment got our friend to finally laugh.
"You're not wrong. We all know it too." I gave him a wide smile and a thumbs up. "Alright, so who's sleeping where? We have one queen size air mattress, the couch and the love seat. I would grab old mattresses, but most of them are toddler mattresses."
"Mina, who's your cuddle buddy tonight?" I asked the pink haired girl.
"Depends on who I sleep next to."
"We can always push everything together so that we aren't separated too much." I suggested, everyone shocked that I offered that.
"Yes! More cuddles!" Mina cheered with her hands raised, pumped at the suggestion.
As the air mattress was being inflated, Kiri and I moved the couch over, sliding it parallel to the loveseat. Mina and Denki set out spare blankets and throw pillows. Just as the air mattress got set up, I took out my ears and put them on the charger. I got settled in on the loveseat, opting to allowing Kirishima to be comfier on the couch. Mina slept beside him with Sero in the middle and Denki right beside me.
We sat up for a little bit, mostly on our phones doing whatever, sometimes I would look over and join the conversation but for the most part, I sat in a comfortable silence with my friends.
I don't remember falling asleep, but I remember briefly waking up. Mostly to turn over and get comfortable again, my eyes immediately drooping shut again. When I fully woke up, I wasn't expecting to be warm.
Or on Denki.
I went to stretch and found myself unable to move, his arms wrapped around me. One draped over my waist and his free hand in front of me as he scrolled on his phone. My head laid on his chest, my body curled into his side with our legs tangled together. His arm left, the rush of cool air sending a chill across my side until it returned along with my phone.
From Pikachu: Good morning :)
To Pikachu: Good morning
To Pikachu: When did I fall asleep? I don't remember
From Pikachu: About 11
To Pikachu: I can't believe I slept for ten hours
From Pikachu: Me neither but I'm glad you got sleep
To Pikachu: When did you go to bed?
From Pikachu: I was up until about 1, that's when you rolled onto me
To Pikachu: Sorry about that, I hope you weren't uncomfortable or anything
From Pikachu: Why would I be uncomfortable?
To Pikachu: I don't know, I just don't want to make you uncomfortable or anything
From Pikachu: Well I promise I wasn't uncomfortable, I wouldn't complain about getting to cuddle with you
From Pikachu: Unless you were uncomfortable?
To Pikachu: I toootally was, hence why I'm still laying on you
I could feel the vibrations and slight jostling in his chest from laughter.
From Pikachu: Well I'm glad you weren't either
From Pikachu: I think that's the first time you've ever fallen asleep before me
To Pikachu: Yeah I was tired yesterday, I pulled an all nighter the other night
From Pikachu: What??? Why??
To Pikachu: Just couldn't sleep, it happens sometimes
From Pikachu: I guess, but I'm really happy you caught up on some sleep last night then
To Pikachu: Me too :)
From Pikachu: Soooo
To Pikachu: Soooo?
From Pikachu: Who's your crush?
To Pikachu: Take a guess
From Pikachu: I don't know, that's why I'm asking
To Pikachu: You should know
From Pikachu: How would I know??
To Pikachu: It should be obvious enough for you to guess
From Pikachu: Just tell meeeee
From Pikachu: Pleaseeeee
To Pikachu: You gotta guessss
From Pikachu: Why won't you tell meee
From Pikachu: Is it really that bad?
From Pikachu: I can literally see you reading these
From Pikachu: C'mon, talk to me
From Pikachu: Why not tell me?
To Pikachu: Fear? Judgement? I don't know, maybe a mix of the two. I'd rather just keep it to myself because I don't think it's going anywhere and the more people I tell who it is, the more real my feelings are and the more it's going to hurt in the long run
From Pikachu: I'm sorry for pushing so much, I didn't mean to make you upset
To Pikachu: You're okay, I know you didn't mean anything by it
From Pikachu: Still, I'm sorry
From Pikachu: Forgive me?
To Pikachu: You're forgiven, Denks
From Pikachu: Phew, okay
To Pikachu: Mina probably got pictures of us to add to her collection
From Pikachu: You mean to add to your collection?
To Pikachu: And what about yours?
From Pikachu: Okay so OUR collection
To Pikachu: I didn't know you saved the pictures she took
From Pikachu: Of course I do! What, you don't?
To Pikachu: I never said that
Denki ruffled my hair a bit and I put my phone down, noticing Sero sit up and start talking.
"Uno momento, estoy agarrando mis audífonos." (One moment, I'm grabbing my hearing aids.) I told the two that I knew were awake, not even realizing I was talking in Spanish until I turned back around to a confused looking Denki. "Sorry, language switch." I mumbled, still half asleep to a degree. "What were you saying Sero?"
"I was just wondering when you two woke up."
"I woke up a little while ago."
"I woke up probably an hour ago." Denki stated, Sero looking at him in disbelief.
"I didn't hear you wake up, I've been up for about an hour and a half." I gestured to our phones and he realized why.
"Should we wake those two up?" I pointed to a sleeping Mina and Kirishima. The girl being spooned by Kirishima while curling into Sero's side, the red heads arm reaching over her waist and onto the other boys.
"Please, I've been overheating this whole time." I couldn't help my small laugh at his words but got up to help wake the two up.
I circled around and poked Kiri's stomach rapidly, watching his muscles flex through his shirt before he woke up confused. His arm moving and waking up Mina in the process.
"What time is it?" The red head asked groggily.
"Almost ten in the morning." He hummed and rubbed his face, his usually gelled hair sticking all over the place. "Time to wake up." He nodded and stretched his arms, reminding me of the morning stiffness in my spine. "Hey Hanta? Can I borrow your legs for support?" He looked at me curiously but slowly nodded. I sat down near his feet and placed one hand on his shins to help me balance as I turned. The relieving pops going up my spine making me sigh before I turned and repeated it on the other side. "Thank you." Everyone looked at me with wide eyes.
"How the— what was that?" Kirishima asked.
"I cracked my back, that reminds me." I propped my chin on my hand and cracked my neck both ways. "I almost forgot about my neck." Mina fake gagged while everyone else was just looking mortified. "It's okay, I do it all the time. Hey, Hanta, where's the bathroom?" He slowly blinked before processing what I had asked him.
"I'll show you, you three meet us up there when you're ready, yeah?" They all agreed and we walked upstairs, my friend showing me where to go as he got caught up talking to Hinata.
I did my business and came back out to see Hanta no longer looking cheerful, but stressed.
"What's up?" He shook his head but I nudged his arm in silent retaliation. "What's wrong?" He sighed and leaned against the wall.
"My mom just let me know that my tío and his new wife are coming to visit for a few days." I raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"So, what's the issue?"
"Issue one, they'll be here in a few hours. Issue two, he's kinda..."
"Not accepting?" He nodded grimly and looked to the floor stressed. "You want me to stay after the others head out? Run some sort of interference?"
"You don't gotta, I couldn't ask you to do that."
"Well you aren't asking, I offered. If you want I can text my parents and let them know. Only if you want me to though." He nodded and gave me a sad smile.
"Thank you." I held out my fist and received a fist bump.
"Course. Let's get this show on the road."
After an hour or two, Kirishima and Mina left, both of them having to go home early and catch the train back to Chiba. Denki left after a little while too, saying how he had to start packing so he wouldn't cram pack on the last night and forget something. So I sat on the couch with Hanta, his twin little sisters joining us. Hana, the one with her ears pierced, slowly came up to me with a curious look on her face.
"Hey kiddo." I greeted with a small smile, not wanting to scare either of them.
"Hi." She looked at her older brother and he gestured it was okay for her to ask whatever was on her mind. "Do you know how to braid hair?" I stifled a confused laugh and nodded.
"I do actually. Do you want me to braid your hair?" Her eyes lit up and she ran to grab what was needed. "Do you want me to braid your hair too, Hikari?"
"Yes please." She mumbled before running off to her sister.
"I didn't know you could braid hair."
"Ah, yeah, I learned after I got adopted. I lost my fidget cube one day and my Pops let me fidget with his hair. He got the bright idea I could braid it and pulled up a few videos for me to learn from." My friend laughed at my simplified story, the twins running back around the corner. "You two ready?" They happily nodded. "Should I do different braids to tell them apart easier?" I whispered to Sero who rapidly nodded. "Okay, who wants to go first?" Hikari plopped in front of me on the floor and I couldn't help but laugh before I started brushing through her hair.
It took probably fifteen minutes for each of them, but I gave Hikari two dutch braids and Hana two french braids.
"Thank you!" The two cheered together, Himari peaking into the living room in disbelief.
"You two look so pretty! Why don't you go show your dad?" The two skipped out of the room and Himari stood next to her son.
"Is tío bringing his kids?" Hanta asked, the subtle look of discomfort already on his face.
"No, they're staying at home with your tía, said they'll come next year." He sighed but nodded. "You should go get changed." Hanta glared at the ground.
"I'm not dressing like a girl for him, it's his problem if he can't get over himself." Himari sighed and rubbed his back.
"You know your tío just sees things differently."
"You two grew up together, your personality should have rubbed off on him." She huffed out a sad laugh at his statement. "I'm not dressing as a girl. I'm not putting myself through that." Himari nodded and gave him a side hug.
"Okay, but you two should still go get changed out of pajamas. They'll be here soon. I'll call you both down when they get here, okay?" Hanta nodded and I gave her a thumbs up before trekking up to his room. He already put his binder on earlier, so he changed comfortably in front of me. Opting for a graphic t-shirt, a zip up hoodie and joggers. I went for a thin, grey long sleeve and ripped jeans.
"You okay?" I asked him hesitantly and he sighed.
"Yeah. Just, not a fan of when he visits. It was more tolerable when he was still married to my tía or when he at least brought the kids, but I don't like his new wife. Plus he insists on using my deadname." I nodded along, easily keeping up.
"I'm sorry dude. If it gets too outta hand I can ask if you can crash at my house for a day or two." He looked at me in shock.
"Really?" I nodded and he sat down beside me on his bed. "Maybe, I think it might be awkward sleeping at my teachers house." I snorted, causing him to laugh as well.
"It's weird for me going to school and having all my family as teachers. Trust me, it fades after a while." He nodded and flopped back on his bed, I followed suit and we sat in a comfortable silence until we were called down. "You ready?" He sighed but stood up, not giving me a verbal answer.
(A/N: anything typed in bold from here on out is someone talking in spanish. i'm not trusting google translate to be right and that's a lot to copy and paste.)
Hanta and I awkwardly stood to the side as his uncle greeted all of his siblings. He looked almost nothing like Hanta's mom, for obvious reasons. A woman stood to the side, looking irked that none of the kids happily hugged her like they did their uncle. I saw a boy I didn't recognize and put together that he was Hanta's brother, Hiroshi.
"Hello Hitomi." His uncle said blandly and I repressed a visual cringe at the use of his deadname. Hanta didn't say anything, just stood kicked back against the wall with an indifferent look on his face. "It's rude to ignore people."
"And it's rude to disregard a simple request." His uncle sighed and shook his head before acknowledging me.
"Who's this?"
"I'm Tsukare Onryo." His eyes widened at my use of his native tongue, unprepared for me to respond.
"It's nice to meet you, Tsukare. I'm Antonio Garcia, Hitomi's uncle." My eyes narrowed as I looked at the ground. He beckoned his wife over, she looked pretty but I could already tell she was stuck up. "This is my wife, Valeria." I sent her a nod in acknowledgement. "How did you two meet?"
"He's one of my good friends, Hanta and I are in the same class at school." That singular sentence earned me a shocked looked from Hanta and two glares from the adults in front of me.
"Her name is Hitomi, and you will address her as such. She is a girl, despite any of the lies she's convinced you of." He vehemently exclaimed, a vein nearly bulging out of his neck.
"I won't. You aren't my father, and you aren't his. You have no authority over me, and you can stop trying to make a display because of your negative prerogative and judgement of Himari's parenting. If you have an issue with the respect and human decency I'm giving to one of my friends then you can challenge my parents on how they raised me." He glared at me before turning around and walking away with his wife. I turned to my friend who was starting to shake. I pulled him around the corner and hugged him. "You okay?" He nodded and hugged me tighter before letting go completely.
"I don't think anyone has told him off in a while." I laughed and nodded.
"Yeah. But hey, you say the word and we're outta here. Okay?" He nodded and eventually went and rejoined his family. The twins came up and sat between us, happily chatting away.
"What's in your ear?" Hana asked curiously.
"These are my hearings aids. My ears don't work too good, so they help 'em out. Y'know how earbuds work?" The two little girls nodded. "Well, they're kinda like that. But instead of getting the sounds from your phone or computer, it gets the sounds from the world." They lit up, enthusiastic at that.
"Can we see them?" I nodded and took my ears out, placing one in each of their open palms and watching closely as they held them. Hana handed my left one back first, Hikari going to do the same until their tío showed up behind them.
Hanta tapped me on the shoulder and pointed to the man who was glaring at me.
"Don't ignore me. What did you give them?" I put my left hearing aid back in and lightly grabbed the other one from Hikari before he could, watching as he went to reach for it.
"They're my hearing aids, Hana and Hikari were curious on what they were and wanted to see them." Antonio scoffed as I put my second one in.
"You're not deaf, those were earbuds. You're just attached to your phone like every other kid your age. It's disgusting that you would lie about something like that." I rolled my eyes, not wanting to deal with this.
"Kids, I know it's early but dinners ready. Come eat." Himari said as she popped her head into the living room, quickly leaving again.
We all sat at the table somehow. Hanta and I squished at the end corner, the twins beside me. His dad at the head with Hinata on his lap, his mom beside them, Antonio and Valeria across from us and Hiroshi at the end beside Hanta. Hanta checked his phone briefly, staring at the screen for a moment before he got scolded by his mom.
"Honey, no phones when we're eating. You know the rule." Hanta apologized under his breath and pocketed his phone, Antonio sending a look towards me.
"Tsukare. That means no earbuds as well. Take them out." He chided, thinking he had something on me.
"Oh don't be silly, Antonio. Those are his hearings aids. Speaking of those, how did you lose your hearing? Were you born deaf?" It took everything in me not to smirk so I took a bite of food instead to bide time.
"No, I was born with my hearing. About two months ago I lost over half of my hearing during our internships, then less than a month ago I lost a little more in my right ear from a classmate setting off a loud explosion with his quirk." Himari, Hiroto, Antonio and Valeria looked at me in disbelief. "In my left ear, I have about forty percent of my hearing and in my right I have about twenty percent."
"Oh goodness. I'm so sorry to hear that." Himari's eyes widened as she realized what she said and she tried to backpedal but I was laughing.
"It's okay! No need to apologize. I came to terms with it a long time ago. My quirk is sound based so I was expecting to lose it eventually." Himari sent me a soft smile and nod.
"Tsukare! Can I put one in my ear?" Hana asked cheerfully beside me, Hikari joining and asking as well.
"Sorry but they won't fit. They're a little too big for you, plus they were specially made to fit in my ear." They looked at me with wide eyes and dropped jaws, clearly amazed at that.
"Tsukare, you mentioned that your quirk is sound based and that could contribute to your hearing loss. Do you know of any genetic factors from your birth parents that might contribute to that?" Hiroto asked politely. Antonio looked confused but before he could ask, Hanta explained.
"Tsuka's adopted." Antonio glared at his nephew before aggressively eating more.
"I don't know much about them honestly, I mostly base it off of my dad since he has such a similar quirk." I explained, almost saying Pops out of habit but catching myself so I wouldn't run any risks.
"But he's not your real dad, is he?" Antonio asked sarcastically, earning a glare from half the table.
"He is my dad. My birth parents signed me away legally. So he is just as much of my dad as Hiroto is to any of his kids , unless you're also saying nobody here is really family to you, then you can take up that dull prerogative with everyone here." Antonio glared at me and went to speak but was cut off once more.
"How did you lose your hearing?" Hana asked curiously.
"Well, your big brother and I had to do these internships at school. That's why he was gone for a week a while ago. But, when I was on mine, I was following around Endeavour. We were walking down the street and a kid about your age came up and talked to us. I saw a car coming really really fast, so I scooped him up and got us out of the way. The car crashed into the building and there was a huge explosion. It was like it was right out of a movie!" Hana, Hikari and Hinata laughed at my over exemplified rendition of what happened, enjoying my mild theatrics and not realizing the actuality of it.
"That didn't actually happen. You don't have to lie to try and impress anyone." Valeria said, her voice alone making me want to snap at her.
"It did happen, I recorded it. It was on the news and everything." Hanta said with a smirk.
"I remember seeing that on the news, your hero name is Sonus, right?" Himari asked curiously to which I nodded.
"How are your grades Hitomi?" Antonio asked, obviously wanting to change the subject. Hanta ignored him, munching on his dinner. "Don't ignore me Hitomi. Answer the question." He still got silence.
"Hanta, answer his question." Hiroto said softly.
"Stop being delusional already. Her name is Hitomi, she is a girl. Don't fuel her idiocy." Antonio snapped. Himari looked around at the table and saw most of us were done.
"Kids, why don't you go play for a bit, yeah? We have to have a grown up talk." Hanta nudged me and gestured for me to follow him, all of the kids in front of us. My hand was on his back, rubbing soothing circles to try and ground him, until I felt him stop moving. One look behind me, I saw Antonio had his hand grasped firmly on Hanta's wrist. Immediately, I turned and yanked it off.
"Don't even think about that." I seethed, Antonio pausing as I properly snapped.
"Why are you filling the children's heads with these immoral acts? It's a disgrace. My nieces and nephews shouldn't have any part in this." Antonio yelled at his sister.
"Don't you talk to my wife like that in our own house." Hiroto snapped back, clearly just as fed up with this as the rest of us.
"I see why Antonio was worried about me coming, he warned me you two would act like this." Valeria said as if she had any input.
"You stay out of this, as far as I'm concerned, you're not apart of this family or this discussion." Hanta and I tried not to laugh at Himari's retort. "And you. Antonio, you have no right to come into our house and act like you run the place."
"Then do a better job. This is disgusting behavior that you should have put a stop to a long time ago. Hitomi, enough is enough. Stop this. Stop giving in to this sin already."
"His name is Hanta. It is that simple." Hiroto said calmly, so Hanta and I tried to slip out again. However Antonio grabbed his wrist once more. I grabbed his as well, yanking it off with a harsh tug.
"Hitomi, please. Stop this already. You're tearing our family apart." Antonio pleaded and went to take a step forward but I stood between him and Hanta.
"You're not going near him. You're going to shut your mouth and you're going to listen. You have no right to try and manhandle him and yank him around like that because you're throwing a bigger temper tantrum then Hinata. You can cry 'sin' all you want but let's face the truth. By the sounds of it, you're christian or catholic, so let's make a few things clear. It is not a sin. Because your God is about love and acceptance. You want to talk about sin? Fine. Then in the eyes of your God, you're a sinner. To him you would be an adulterous, judgmental man with no morals or ethics. To him, you did one of the big no-no's, you got a divorce and got remarried. You also have constantly been doing another no-no, you've been judging him. As far as I'm concerned, he's more of a man then you will ever be. He is kind and compassionate, he is trustworthy, patient, respectful. So Hanta and I are going to leave the kitchen now and you are not going to touch him." Antonio froze at my tangent, Hanta and I walking out and immediately to his room.
"Hey, you o-" he tackled me in a hug and I slowly hugged him back, "-kay..?"
"Thank you." I heard a small sniffle from him and held him tighter.
"Of course. I got your back." He nodded and let go, rushing to pack his bag.
I texted my parents to ask, thankfully Pops responded saying it was okay for him to stay the night. A small tap on the door grabbed our attention, Hiroshi slowly coming in.
"Hey." He mumbled. Hanta immediately dried his eyes and waved.
"Hey kiddo." My friend responded.
"Can I ask you something?" Hiroshi asked while he looked at me. I pointed at myself to be sure and he nodded.
"Sure. What's up?" He chewed on his bottom lip for a moment, gesturing for Hanta to cover his ears, so he did.
"Do you think.. Do you think Hi- H- Hanta thinks I'm like Tío Antonio?" I shook my head and crouched down to his level from where he sat on Hanta's bed.
"No, not at all. Because Hanta knows you don't like change. And he knows you're trying your best despite that. It takes time and change is hard enough to begin with." He nodded and stared at his hands. "What about change scares you so much?"
"I don't like uncertainty. I like to know what's going on." I gave him a lopsided smile.
"Which is why you were eavesdropping?" He blushed from embarrassment and nodded. "Well, there's a few things I'm certain about. I know Hanta cares about his family because he carries just about everything in his backpack that might be needed for when he goes outside with you or his friends. I know he loves being your big brother. I know he's a goofball. But I am one hundred and ten percent certain, that he loves all of you, despite the hiccups and mistakes, because he knows you're trying and putting in an effort. And I know he isn't mad at you at all." Hiroshi nodded slowly and gave me a small side hug before standing up and tackling Hanta in one.
"Love you dude." He mumbled into Hanta's chest once his older brother moved his hands.
"I love you too." Hanta mumbled back into his younger brother's hair before he left the room. "What did you two talk about?"
"I'll explain later, we should head back to my place." He nodded and we went downstairs, his mom coming out of the kitchen looking stressed.
"I'm gonna sleep at Tsukare's tonight." Himari nodded and hugged him. She turned to me and I bowed.
"I'm sorry for the way I acted in your household earlier." She gave me a soft smile and a hug once I stood back up.
"Don't apologize. I'm glad my son has friends like you. And Hanta, text me when you get to his house please. We'll talk more about everything when you come home." Hanta nodded and they bid their goodbyes.
"That was the first time he hugged me on his own terms since I came out." Hanta told me as we walked down my street, the train ride draining both of us almost as much as his uncle.
"Really?"
"Yeah. What'd you say to get him to do that?"
"Just told him the truth. That change is scary but you love him and you know he's trying and that even though change is scary, you can tell he's been trying anyways." He gave me a soft smile and a pat in the back before we walked into my house. "Dad! Pops! I'm home and I have Hanta with me!" I called out as we took our shoes off. Dad walked past the entryway with a mug of coffee.
"Hello. Did you have fun?" He asked me. I looked at Sero and we both laughed. "Oh no." Dad sighed and took another sip of his coffee. "Should I ask?"
"Maybe later. Where's Pops and Toshi?"
"Pops is taking a shower and Hitoshi is taking a nap." I nodded and guided Sero through the house. "Sero, are you allergic to cats?" My friend shook his head right before Mittens came up and started rubbing against his legs.
"That's Mittens, and that," I pointed to our other cat in her cat tree, "that's Spots. They won't scratch or anything if you pick them up." He nodded and slowly picked up Mittens, cradling her to his chest.
"Sero." He looked up at Dad's voice. "I take it he knows?" Sero paused for a moment before nodding. "Alright. I expect you to take your binder off tonight. Onryo and Hitoshi both have spare hoodies if you would like one, if those don't fit then you can ask either me or Mic. Understood?" Sero sighed and nodded.
"Yes, sir."
"I forgot he would know. Which.. wait, holy shit. Dad do you think that means All Might knows?" His eyebrows furrowed in confusion before the realization dawned on him.
"If he read his file, then yes. He clearly didn't think ahead about his actions and potentially turning the countries future heroes against him." I chuckled under my breath.
"Yeah. Still don't know why Izuku idolizes him so much." Dad shrugged but Sero looked a little lost. "I'll explain later." My friend nodded and Pops walked into the living room.
"Hey little listeners, do you have fun at Sero's house?" Pops asked, the two of us laughing again. "Oh gods. Sho, should I ask?"
"I don't even know, that's up to you." Pops looked worried for a moment and asked.
"My uncle came to town with his new wife and he's not accepting or anything. It didn't go too well and Tsukare said some things." My parents each raised an eyebrow to me.
"I may or may not have snapped and told him that he was a sinner for being an adulterous, judgmental man with no morals or ethics and Hanta's more of a man then he'll ever be." Pops slowly started cackling, keeling over in fits of laughter while Dad just smirked. Hanta pulled out his phone and showed me the message his mom sent about how they kicked his uncle and his new wife out. I fist pumped the air. "Yes! Now I don't have to threaten him with Pops!" This piqued my parents interest and I clamped my mouth shut.
"Uh, he tried getting physical. Tsuka pulled his hand off before he could do any real damage and stood between us." Pops immediately pulled me into a hug.
You are so lucky you didn't get hurt.
I know Pops. But I couldn't just stand there and see how far he would take it. The furthest he got was grabbing Hanta's wrist.
"These next two and a half years are going to be torturous with how you and Midoriya like to handle things." I sent Dad a wide smile and two thumbs up, the anxiety slowly dissipating as Hanta and I settled in for the night.

Villains before this
A/N: I'm going to try and get back into writing. I'm trying to publish chapters on Mondays. It definitely won't be every Monday because I have a lot with school, work, and just life in general, but I'm going to do my best and work on it whenever I have time. I feel like this is pretty crappy but I'm hoping the chapters will get better when I get back to a consistent writing schedule.
Third Person P.o.V
“Oh, Midoriya, you’re awake!” Denki exclaimed when he opened the door.
“Did you see the news? The media’s swarming the school right now.”
“It’s way worse than in the spring.” Most of Class 1-A entered Izuku’s hospital room.
“We’ve got a melon!” Minoru announced. “We bought it together! A big melon!” Katsuki stood in the corner, away from the large group around Izuku’s hospital bed.
“I caused you trouble, Midoriya…” Fumikage spoke up.
“No, I did, too…” Izuku mumbled. “Did everyone from Class A come?”
“No, Jiro-kun and Hagakure-kun are still being monitored,” Tenya answered. “So is Yaoyorozu-kun. Though Hiva healed her head, they wanted to watch her to be sure there were no lasting effects. That’s why you’re still here as well.” Izuku nodded. Even after Hiva’s healing, his arm felt stiff and hard to move. “So, everyone but those three came…”
“Seventeen of us…” Ochako added.
“Because Hiva’s not here,” Shoto finished.
“Hey, Todoroki!” Mina gasped. Hanta bit his lip, and Denki gave him a little nudge and a comforting smile.
“All Might said, ‘I can’t save the people I can’t reach,’” Izuku quoted. “That’s why he will always save those he can reach… I had to save her… That’s what my Quirk is for… It’s exactly like what Aizawa-sensei said to me. My body… wouldn't move… It was all I could do to save Kota… Even then, I had Veeves to help me… I couldn’t save someone right in front of me…”
“Then let’s save her this time,” Eijiro stated. Katsuki straightened up at this while others gasped. “Actually, Todoroki and I were here yesterday, too. On our way to your room, we saw All Might and a police officer talking to Yaoyorozu.”
“Does that mean you’re going to have Yaoyorozu-kun make another receiver?” Tenya guessed.
“What if it does?” Shoto challenged. Tenya grit his teeth before shouting.
“This is as All Might said! This is something we should leave to the pros! This isn’t the place for us to act, you idiots!”
“We know that!” Eijiro yelled back. “But I couldn’t do anything! After I heard that my friend was being targeted! After I had her right in front of me! I couldn't do anything! I didn’t do anything! If I don’t do anything now, I won’t be a hero or a man anymore!”
“Kirishima, we’re in a hospital,” Denki reminded. “Calm down. We all feel strongly about this, but-”
“It’s not your fault,” Hanta cut in. “It’s- ow!” Hanta pouted down at the one responsible for pinching the back of his hand, and Denki glared up at him.
“Iida-chan is correct,” Tsuyu suddenly spoke up.
“Iida, all of you, you’re all correct. I know that… But!” Eijiro turned to Izuku and held out his hand. “Hey, Midoriya, your hand can still reach! We can go save her!” Katsuki sighed.
“You know she’d never let us help her,” he mumbled. Eijiro turned to him, somewhat surprised he’d sign up for this task.
“What do you mean?” he asked. The blonde sighed again, this time with an eye roll as well.
“She knew what she was doing,” Katsuki explained. “She didn’t act like it, but her mind was much clearer than you all thought.”
“Are you trying to say she’s a villain?” Eijiro questioned. “That she joined them willingly?”
“I’m saying she’s important to them, and she knows it. The only ones in danger will be the morons trying to save her. If the villains don’t kill you, she will for ruining her plan.”
“It’s not a job for her to be doing!” Tenya exclaimed. “It’s for the pros.”
“If she makes one mistake, she could be in danger,” Shoto argued. “Think of who she’s trapped there with. She’ll forgive us when she realizes what could actually go wrong.” Katsuki shook his head.
“You’re acting selfishly,” he spat.
“You, the most selfish person in this room, cannot accuse me of acting selfishly,” Shoto replied. Katsuki pushed off the wall, and Shoto’s stance changed to match his.
“So, in short,” Mina spoke up, attempting to stop their possible fight, “you’re planning on getting the receiver from Yao-momo, following it, and going to save Hiva yourselves?”
“Yeah,” Eijiro said.
“Even though the villains said we were targets to be killed, they took Hiva without killing her,” Shoto continued.
“Because she’s important!” Katsuki repeated.
“They probably let her live, but that doesn’t mean they won’t kill her eventually,” Shoto went on. “Kirishima and I are going.”
“Do you really think they could kill her?” Katsuki questioned. “It’s Hiva. We should be worried about the villains.”
“Hey, that’s what Shinso said!” Denki exclaimed.
“Don’t go overboard with your messing around!” Katsuki groaned at Tenya.
“Wait, calm down,” Mezo ordered. “I understand Kirishima’s frustration at not being able to do anything and Todoroki’s frustration at having her stolen in front of his very eyes. I’m frustrated too. But this isn’t a situation where we should act on our emotions. Right?” 'Squidward gets it.' Katsuki thought as he fell back against the wall.
“L-Let’s leave this to All Might…” Yuga stuttered. “Aizawa-sensei’s permission to fight at the training camp has been rescinded, too.”
“Aoyama’s right,” Fumikage agreed. “I can’t say much since I was the one who needed saving, though…”
“But-”
“Everyone, we’re all shocked by Hiva’s kidnapping,” Tsuyu interrupted Eijiro. “But let’s think things through calmly. No matter how just your feelings, if you’re saying you’ll fight again… That you’ll break the rules… Those acts are the same as those of villains.” It was silent until there was a knock on the door. Yuga jumped at the sound, and a doctor slid the door open.
“Sorry to interrupt… it’s time for Midoriya-kun’s exam.”
“Wh-Why don’t we go?” Hanta suggested with a thumb pointed over his shoulder. “I want to see how Jiro and Hagakure are doing, too.”
“Oh, yeah,” Mashirao agreed.
“Deku-kun, feel better soon,” Ochako said on her way out.
“Thanks, all of you.”
“We talked to Yaoyorozu yesterday,” Eijiro mumbled to Izuku before leaving. “If we go, we go right away. Tonight. Since you were seriously injured, I don’t know if you can move, but we still wanted to invite you because you’re probably the most frustrated out of everyone.” He turned to Katsuki, who was still leaning against the wall to listen. “You are as well.” Katsuki scoffed and finally pushed off the wall to walk out.
“Hiva doesn’t need the help of extras like you,” he insulted. “All you’ll do is piss her off and ruin what she was ready to die for.”
“If you change your mind,” Eijiro turned from the blonde to Izuku, “we’ll be waiting in front of the hospital tonight.” Katsuki scoffed again and finally exited.
“Bakugo.” He huffed at Shoto’s voice. “We need you there.”
“Too bad.”
“Maybe you’re right,” Shoto continued anyway. “Maybe she doesn’t need the help of us ‘extras', but she does need yours.” Katsuki hesitated but shook the quick sinking feeling away. “I think you owe it to her.” Shoto walked away, but Katsuki stayed frozen as that guilty sinking feeling made a quick return.
“Damn it,” he growled, finally walking off.
---
Hanta and Denki ran down the sidewalk. “Perfect!” Denki shouted when he saw Hitoshi on the small front lawn. Hitoshi turned to see where the sudden sound came from and stepped back when the two nearly ran into him. Denki put a hand on Hitoshi’s shoulder to steady himself as Hanta doubled over and gasped for breath. “I knew we’d find you here.”
“I live here,” Hitoshi pointed out. “I feel like you practically live here.”
“Correct.” Hitoshi raised an eyebrow and looked down at Hanta, who was now lying on his back.
“This family makes us do a lot of cardio,” Hanta panted. “How are you right in the middle of everything?”
“For convenience,” Denki replied.
“What is going on?” Hitoshi asked.
“Todoroki and Kirishima.” Hitoshi nodded at Denki to continue. “They’re planning a rescue.” Hitoshi squinted at him.
“Rescue?” Denki nodded.
“For Hiva,” Hanta added, still on the ground. “They’re trying to make Yao-momo make another receiver, so they can find where the villains are and hopefully where Hiva is.”
“That’s stupid,” Hitoshi said. Denki nodded.
“That’s what we said,” he agreed. “She’d be angry we even thought of it. You in?”
“No!” Hitoshi exclaimed.
“Really?”
“You didn’t make a good argument, sparky,” Hanta stated.
“You really didn’t,” Hitoshi confirmed. “Even if you did, I’d still say no. I’m not getting in her way.” Hitoshi sighed and looked around before crouching down to Hanta, motioning Denki to do the same. “Besides, I happened to hear those two talking,” Hitoshi nodded towards the house to show he meant his parents, “and it sounds like the heroes are planning their own rescue. She’s gonna be home and fine by the end of the night.” The other two sighed, relieved smiles crossing their faces. “So come in.” Denki tilted his head, and Hanta angled his back to get a better look at the purple-haired teen. “Don’t you lover boys wanna see her when she gets back?” Hitoshi stood and walked towards the door.
“‘Boys’?” Hanta repeated.
“You’re not exactly a master at hiding your crushes,” Denki said, holding a hand out to help Hanta up from the ground.
---
Katsuki laid on his bed and stared at the ceiling. “Damn it, icyhot.” He sat up and sighed. “‘I think you owe it to her’? What’s he trying to say?” He sighed again and rubbed a hand over his face. “God damn it!” Katsuki dramatically rolled out of bed and stomped down the stairs, cursing Shoto for successfully guilt-tripping him.
---
Katsuki got to the hospital in time to see his classmates frozen on the sidewalk as they spoke. “Oi!” he called when they started walking again. All eyes landed on him, and he glared as he marched up to the group. “Where do you think you’re going?”
“Kacchan!” Izuku gasped.
“I thought you weren’t coming,” Eijiro said. “You were against it almost as much as Iida.” Katsuki clicked his tongue at the redhead and turned to Momo.
“Minds change,” he muttered. “Where are we going?” Shoto tilted his head at the odd behavior. “Stop staring at me, icyhot!”
---
The coordinates on the receiver indicate Camino Ward, Yokohama City in Kanagawa Prefecture,” Momo informed from her seat on the train. Since we’re leaving from Nagano, it will take about two hours. We should arrive around ten o’clock.”
“Um, did you tell everyone that we would leave tonight?” Izuku asked.
“Yeah,” Shoto answered. “They tried even harder to stop us when we told them, though.”
“After that, Uraraka said something pretty harsh, too,” Eijiro added. “‘I think Hiva will feel humiliated that she had to be saved by everyone,’ she said.” He looked at the blonde beside him. “So, what you’d been saying, basically.”
“Just to make sure, you know that what we’re doing is selfish and that no one wants us to do it, right?” Shoto asked from Katsuki’s other side. “You can still turn back if you want to.” Katsuki’s eyes went wide with fury.
“Wow, it’s almost as if someone said that!” he cried sarcastically. “I can’t imagine who!”
“If I were hesitating then I wouldn’t’ve said I’d do it in the first place!” Ejiro stated, ignoring Katsuki's words. “She’s not someone who’d let the villains do whatever they want with her.”
“What about you, Midoriya?” Shoto questioned.
“I… I cannot turn back.”
“I see… Alright.”
---
“So, this is Camino Ward?” Izuku wondered. “There are a lot of people.”
“So those guys are hiding somewhere in this city?” Eijiro asked. “Okay, where are they, Yaoyorozu?!” Katsuki grabbed the back of Eijiro’s shirt when he tried to run off.
“Wait a minute!” Momo ordered. “From here on out, we must be very, very careful. The villains know what we look like, remember? We must also consider that we may be attacked at any moment.”
“Got it!” Izuku exclaimed before crossing his arms over his face. “Gotta be covert!”
“That makes you stand out more, Midoriya,” Shoto told him.
“But at this rate, we won’t be able to scout very easily,” Tenya said.
“Then what are we supposed to do?” Eijiro questioned.
“If it’s something you guys are all worried about,” Katsuki turned to Momo as he spoke, “why don’t you just make us some disguises?” Momo pointed behind her instead of agreeing.
“I have a similar suggestion.” Katsuki’s eye twitched as he reluctantly followed the rest of the group into the store.
---
“Hey, you!” Izuku yelled as he exited the changing room. Shoto stepped out in his own disguise, and Momo did the same a moment later.
“What are these clothes?” Tenya asked.
“I’ll tell ya later,” Eijiro answered. Katsuki swiped the curtain out of his way with an aggravated sigh. He had a disguise similar to Eijiro’s, with a fedora over his spiky blonde hair that he wanted to throw to the ground. He cringed as Izuku and Tenya shouted as they exited the shop.
“Kids would stand out in the shopping district at night, right?” Momo guessed.
“And you didn’t just use your Quirk because…?” Katsuki trailed off, voice clearly showing his annoyance.
“Th-Th-That’s against the rules!” Momo stuttered. “If I make anything I want with my Quirk, then circulation of money and… That’s right, as a citizen of this nation, I must increase the flow of money in the economy!”
“I see,” Shoto said, accepting the excuse.
“So, you just wanted to shop,” Katsuki corrected. Momo smiled guiltily.
“Everyone, our destination is this way-” Momo was interrupted by a stranger shouting.
“Woah, it’s U.A.!”
“H-Hey!” Izuku exclaimed as he turned, tensing at the image on the screen.
“And now, please watch a clip from U.A. High School’s apology press conference that just occurred.”
“Aizawa-sensei…” Izuku muttered as he and the others pushed through the crowd for a better look.
“And even the principal!” Momo gasped.
“We deeply apologize for the incident that allowed harm to come to 28 first years of the hero course because of our unpreparedness,” Shota stated. “We apologize for causing unease in society due to our negligence in properly defending ourselves as a place of learning. We are truly sorry.” All three men on screen, Shota, Nezu, and Vlad, bowed.
“Aizawa-sensei, who hates being on TV, is…” Eijiro stopped speaking when a reporter stood to ask a question.
“I’m from Yomiuri TV. Since the beginning of the year, U.A. High School students have had four encounters with villains. This time, there were even students injured. How did you explain to their families, and what are some specific countermeasures you are taking?”
“Treating them like the bad guy…?” Izuku whispered.
“After what happened, it’s easy to do,” Katsuki mumbled to himself. “A hero in training did more than the professionals.” Nezu decided to answer the reporter’s question.
“We will increase policing in the surrounding area and review the security within the school, ensuring the students’ safety with a strong position. That is what we told them.”
“Huh? What are these guys saying?”
“They’re not being protected at all.”
“Hero schools aren’t usually defeated by villains…”
“How’s that supposed to ensure anything?”
“Aren’t they just trying to protect themselves?” Katsuki watched the others look around worriedly as the people muttered.
“Hey!” The teens’ eyes shifted to him. “Let’s go. You’re getting distracted.” He pointed in the direction Momo did before. “This way, right?”
---
“This is the spot the receiver is showing,” Momo told the group.
“So that’s their hideout,” Eijiro guessed. “It really looks like one!”
“I don’t know if it’s their hideout or not, but from what I can see on the receiver, the villain has not left here for the past day,” Momo informed. “Also, just because the villain is here doesn’t mean Hiva is. We are here with very little to go on. Please think about that objectively.”
“We don’t have anyone who excels at sneaking around, like Jiro-kun or Hagakure-kun, with us,” Tenya continued. “If I think it’s even the least bit dangerous, I will stop you immediately. Because I’m your friend, I will not hesitate to call the police, either.”
“Snitch,” Katsuki scoffed to himself, earning a nudge to the shoulder from Eijiro.
“Thanks, Iida-kun,” Izuku muttered. “What can we do with what we have…? I’ve gotta think. The prerequisite is that we not use our Quirks or fight with the villains. On top of that, we need to figure out if Veeves is in that building or not.”
“It’s been a while since I’ve seen that muttering,” Eijiro mumbled.
“It really feels like Midoriya-san,” Momo added.
“Like Iida-kun said, we don’t have anyone with a good scouting Quirk like Jiro or Shoji, so…”
---
“There’s no reaction even though we’ve gotten this close,” Momo observed.
“The lights aren’t on, either,” Eijiro pointed out. “It doesn’t look like anyone’s in there.”
“To hide a tree, use the forest…” Shoto said. “I guess they’re hiding as an abandoned warehouse.”
“Hey, what’re ya doin’, hostess?” Momo jumped at the sudden voice, and the others whipped around. “Come drink wit’ us!” Katsuki grabbed the drunk by his collar and pulled him closer to glare down into his eyes.
“What did you say?” he growled. His friend pulled him away and then slapped the back of his head.
“Yeah, stop that idiot!”
“Let’s get away from here for now,” Shoto suggested as he walked off. Katsuki watched the duo angrily and stuck to the end of the group, mumbling about ‘those dumbasses’.
---
“There aren’t many people walking by, but there are some,” Shoto began.
“We can’t do anything to stand out,” Momo continued. Shoto gave Katsuki a look, and the blonde raised an eyebrow, silently daring him to say something. “What should we do?”
“Let’s try going around to the back,” Izuku suggested. “No matter how little information we have on this place, it’s all we’ve got.” The group crossed the street and ducked into the small alley.
“This is very narrow…” Momo complained. “I feel like I will get stuck…”
“We can’t move until we know for sure it’s safe,” Izuku told her and the others. “No one will see us here, and at that height, we should be able to see inside, too!”
“Will we be able to see anything in this darkness?” Shoto asked, eyeing the window with the others.
“I can make a night vision scope-”
“Wait, Yaoyorozu!” Eijiro cut her off. “Actually, I brought one with me…”
“Wow, why?” Izuku questioned. Katsuki wished there was enough space to lean back and give the boy an ‘are you stupid’ look from behind Momo.
“When I thought about what we’d have to do, I thought we’d need it.”
“But Isn’t that super expensive?” Izuku pried. “I did research on them online when I was thinking about my costume, but if I remember correctly, they cost around fifty thousand yen…”
“Who cares how much they cost? Stop talking about it!”
“Okay, then Midoriya and Kirishima, you two look through it,” Shoto ordered. “Iida and I will carry you on our shoulders.”
“It’s really cramped,” Izuku whispered.
“Don’t lean forward so much,” Tenya advised. “I want to make sure we can run the second we think it’s dangerous.”
“Iida, can you move back a little?” Eijiro requested.
“Tell us what you see, Kirishima-kun, what’s inside?”
“It’s just dirty… I don’t really see anything…” Eijiro suddenly gasped and nearly fell backward from shock.
“Kirishima-kun?!” Izuku worried.
“What’s wrong? What can you see, Kirishima?” Shoto asked.
“In the back on the left…! Midoriya, look in the back on the left!” Katsuki looked from the boys to Momo and back up. Izuku took the scope and did as told.
“No way… Are those… all…”
“Spit it out, Deku!” Katsuki growled.
“Nomu?!” Katsuki shut his mouth quickly at that.
“Hey!” All attention went to Eijiro and then over to where he had been looking to see a truck rising in the air.
“That’s…!” Izuku was cut off when Mount Lady’s attack knocked him and the others to the ground.
“Wh-What happened?!” Tenya groaned. He lifted Eijiro onto his shoulders again, and Katsuki raised Momo so she could get a good view.
“Mout Lady and Gang Orca…” Eijiro identified, “… and even the number four hero, Best Jeanist?”
“Mr. Tiger is there, too,” Momo added. Katsuki and Tenya let the two down.
“Ugh, are these really alive?” Mount Lay gagged. “Is it really okay for our job to be this easy, Jeanist-san? Maybe we should’ve gone with All Might.”
“Don’t think about difficulty and importance together, newcomer,” Jeanist lectured. “Riot squad, get the Maidens ready. They might still be here. Please continue to give it your all.”
“Yes, sir!”
“The heroes were already moving way before we were!” Tenya whispered.
“Wow…!”
“Now, let us fall back immediately. There’s nothing left for us to do now.”
“Since she said ‘with All Might,' does that mean Veeves is there too?” Izuku wondered.
“If All Might is there, then there’s even more reason to rest easy,” Momo assured. “Now, hurry!”
“Right,” Shoto mumbled. Izuku froze, and Shoto stopped to look back at him. The sound of footsteps could be heard, and the rest of the students came to a stop.
“Sorry, Tiger. She’s always had a good Quirk. It was the perfect opportunity, so I took it.”
“Are you with the League?” Gang Orca questioned.
“Alright, someone…” Tiger spoke up.
“After my body turned into this, I also depleted a lot of what I’d stocked up…” the voice continued.
“Stop! Don’t move!” Gang Orca ordered. The footsteps continued forward, so Jeanist pinned his limbs together.
“Wait, Best Jeanist-san, what if he was an ordinary citizen?!” Mount Lady stressed.
“Think about the situation,” Jeanist replied. “That instant of hesitation could decide the fight. Don't let the villains do anything.” A large attack suddenly went off like an explosion, creating a cloud that blocked everything from view.

Watts the date?

if it ain't broke don't fix it (Kaminari x oc) I call this combo sprite.
Here we are again with the time based quirk and time hopping children.
<-♧—♧—♧—♧—♧—♧—♧—♧—♧—♧—♧—♧—♧—♧—♧—♧—♧—♧—♧->
You examined the path you took to the teacher’s office, Aizawa sensei made it clear that you needed to be there after classes finished, you complied. You had wanted to practice pausing specific people using your classmates as tests. Not the nicest thing to do, but no one would willing let you pause them. Opening the door, you walk to Aizawa sensei’s desk, usually, he would be at his cubicle avoiding any questions from us. You notice a chair pulled up next to him, peeking up a little bit you see a toddler.
“You adopt more kids, sensei?” you joke.
Aizawa sensei had taken most of the reasonability of caring for Eri a young girl that Izuku, your cousin, had saved during his first year. When he looked at you, he wasn’t amused.
“Actually, according to this recording, this little one will be yours in the future,” he sighs.
In his hand was a little box and you watch it carefully. “What exactly do you mean?”
He pushed it a little and a projection popped up.
“Hello, I’m terribly sorry, if you are seeing this you have my youngest son, he has a time-hopping quirk and has gotten into many situations. Since this is such a new development, we are trying to create a support item to prevent this from happening without activation. Until he can return please leave him in the care of a Yarai family member. The disadvantage to this quirk is he appears close to someone of the same blood. Thank you and I apologize again for the inconvenience. Kaminari Mayuri.”
You blinked a few times. Well, you fit the requirement of leaving him with a Yarai family member, but did you really grow your hair that long? When did you need to stop using your support item?
“Understood sensei,” you pinch the bridge of your nose. “What will I do with him during classes?”
Sensei groans. “You will be in the dorms during school hours. Tomorrow afternoon I have given you permission to go and purchase anything necessary to care for him. And since it the third to last day before summer break you won’t have to worry about missing too much. I’ll leave the other student responsible for this with the task to deliver you your missed work.”
With another nod, you crouch down so that you are eye level with the toddler. He donned a simple black shirt that made his yellow freckles shine brighter on his arms and face. His hair looked like Kaminari’s indeed, but only in color, he had the same loose waves you hold. But what really gave it away was his large sea glass colored irises.
“Hi, baby boy, What’s your name?”
“Momma calls me Warai,” he whispers.
You raise a brow, you never call anyone by their given or surname unless it was an adult or teacher. “No, I think I would call you Rairai, right?”
His eyes go wide, and he launches his little body from the chair into my arms. Standing up slowly you bow bidding your sensei goodbye.
“Momma, you’re in school right now, right?” he asks.
“Yes, I am, how old are you Rairai?” you reply.
Holding up two little fingers you grin.
You ruffle his hair a bit. “How did you end up here?”
His face lit up. “Well, I was playing hide and seek with Aneue. I hid behind the big tree and then I was here.”
You feel guilty, no one can pick their quirk and for some reason the way his quirk manifested it can cause a lot of problems for him. And this was because you had a quirk that related to time.
“Momma are you sad, please don’t make that face. I’m practicing to control better. That way Momma doesn’t need to apologize all the time,” he states excitedly.
“Keep working on It, Rairai. Wanna go see Papa?” you offer.
Quiet. He seemed really excited to talk a moment ago. You were walking away from the main school building to the dorm, you pause sitting down on the step.
“Wanna tell me what happened?” you ask.
“I’ve only see pictures, He’s working really far away,” a small voice was all he could use to explain.
What? What is future me thinking? He’s only two, maybe there’s a situation? Did he run away with another girl? No, then I would have changed all our names. Alright, well just don’t tell Kaminari. He’s a good friend right now since we are going to end up married with two kids in the future you can tolerate him, right? Picking yourself up again still holding onto the toddler.
“Well, promise me you won’t tell him,” You hold out your pinky.
He locks his pinky with yours and smiles. “I promise.”
The walk back to the dorm was only you are informing him to have fun, that you would be with him the entire time that he was. So, you didn’t know why you were so angry walking into the main room? Kaminari lay in one of the couches reading something off his phone.
“Welcome back Yuri,” your cousin grins.
“Thank you, Zuzu,” you smile walking over to the blond.
Gently you place Warai on Kaminari’s stomach. He blinks at the toddler and waves a little.
“Who is this?” he asks.
You grin ruffling his hair. “Cute ain’t he? He’s your kid Kaminari.”
Turning away from the boy you grab your glass down and get water. A confused yell reaches your ears as you finish. Poor Warai was being held like a doll by Kaminari as he follows after you.
“He’s my kid?” Kaminari asks bewildered.
You were enjoying his panic a little too much. “Mhmm, pretty cute right. I wonder what our daughter looks like. I bet she’s got the same eyes as you and my hair color.”
“Mhmm, Aneue has hair just like you Momma,” Warai grins.
Walking toward the confused male you gently lift up the toddler and readjust his arms. “If you hold him like that you could hurt his arms.”
“Oh, wait why are you so calm about this?”
“Hmm, well because this is something that happens often in my family. There is always going to be a time hopper eventually and they can’t always control it at the beginning.” You explain.
“Why did you tell me then?”
“More fun that way, Aizawa sensei told me that you would be giving me my missed work.” You smile.
Both of you moved to his room since you weren’t keen on Kaminari going into your room especially with your cleaning tendencies. He let you and Warai sit on the bed, while he used his desk chair.
“So let me get this straight, he is our son from the future. Our second child with a time-hopping quirk because of how his quirk manifested. Until he returns to his time via his own quirk we are to look after him?” he states.
“Technically I am, but I’m not gonna forfeit my grades just because we couldn’t control ourselves as adults.” You explain. “I’ll tutor you if that would help persuade you.”
He frowns. “A kiss.”
Rolling your eyes, you walk over and kiss his cheek. “That’s all you get until we actually date.”
“Momma you broke Papa,” Warai points.
“It’s fine, Papa will be fine. Let's get ready to eat dinner,” you suggest.
Placing him on the ground you walk to the door. Just as the two of you are about to walk out you almost run into a solid form. Stepping back a little bit you notice the wobbling lip of the toddler next to you. His crying hurt you, trying to calm him down you got down and shushed him, and then you notice the blonde standing at the door.
“Watch where the fuck you’re walking, dumbass remote,” Bakugou growls.
“Geez be a bit nicer Bakugou, she’s got a kid with her,” Kirishima frowns.
Louder, it only made Warai cry louder. You pick him up and try to pull his attention from Bakugou.
“Look, baby, it’s uncle Tsuki. He’s not scary see?” you gesture to the male.
“Uncle Tsuki is nicer,” Warai wails.
“Gad damn it,” you hiss. “Alright, Warai sit with Papa for a little bit.”
Placing the toddler in Denki’s arms you walk out of the room. Dragging the two downstairs you send a class text to get everyone in the common room. Once everyone is there you cross your arms.
“Um, Yuri? What’s all this about?” Izuku questions.
Warai has calmed down and was quietly sitting in Kaminari’s arms.
“I have a time-based quirk everyone knows this right? This is a family quirk besides the occasional fire quirk, but that’s what it is. This is my son from the future. You are not allowed to ask him questions about the future, because he is only two years old,” you explain.”I rather explain with everyone in the room rather than explain it five to twenty different times. I plead for your cooperation and apologize for the inconvenience.”
“I didn’t mean to scare the kid,” Bakugou huffs.
You roll your eyes and wave your hand to dismiss that. “I know Tsuki, anyways I’d appreciate no questions about the future concerning Warai.”
“Yarai-san,” someone grabs my attention.
“Call me Yuri, but what’s up Tsu?” You look toward your frog classmate.
“Who’s his dad?” She asks.
Bakugo snickers. “You can tell by looking at him. He belongs to dumbass right there.”
“Rather rude seeing as he’s holding my future child, but yes. Apparently Sparkle pants and I are going to get married in the future and have two kids, Warai is the second child.” You reply. “That’s really all I wanted to say. By the way, don’t make him cry, I’ll know.”
Taking the toddler back from Denki, I walk out of the common room. Touching his forehead, I raise a brow. He’s a little warm, probably exhaustion or a slight fever. Footsteps follow me.
“Wait, Mayuri. I had something else I wanted to say?” Kaminari’s voice adds.
“Hmm?”
“Could I spend time with him too?”
“You’ll have plenty of time to help me during the summer holiday.” You offer as we make your way into the kitchen.
“Momma, I’m hungry,” Warai pouts.
You nod. “I’m working on it Rairai, what do you want to eat?”
“Hmm, hamburger,” he grins.
“Today is cafeteria dinner day,” Kaminari reminds me.
You nod and look at the little kid, after all this time you realize that he didn’t have shoes on. “Let me wash Warai’s feet and give him a pair of my socks. Could you get a tray for me please?”
“Sure, give me your ID, I’ll grab it for you. What are you gonna drink?”
“Wat-”
“Juice,” Warai shouts.
“I’ll grab water too,” Kaminari nods as he walks away.
Up in my room, I sit the toddler on the little bathroom sink and clean his feet, getting wet in the process. Once out of the bathroom I peel off the wet t-shirt and throw it in the little hamper. Warai sits on my futon and grins, I chuckle and pull out some socks and a clean shirt. Once ready We leave to follow the stragglers to dinner.
“Warai, are you comfortable here so far?” Izuku walks next to us as we get out the door.
“It’s fun,” Warai answers.
“He just got here, Zuzu. Maybe I should have put him down for a nap when we got to the dorms,” you realize.
Izuku nods sympathetically. “Have fun putting him to sleep. Yuri.”
Once in the cafeteria, you make a beeline for the grinning blond, you notice him flag you down and you try to hold back a groan. Sitting down with the toddler in your lap, you see everyone at the table staring except your childhood friend.
“What?”
“He’s so small,” Ashido gushes as you adjust his hair.
“Most two-year-olds are,” you point out as you retrieve the extra tray from Kaminari.
Warai wastes no time and starts to eat, or at least tries to.
“Momma chopsticks are still a little hard to use,” he pouts.
You nod and sit the toddler in the male’s lap. “Hold him, I’m gonna ask for a fork.”
“Wait, Yu-”
You got up from the seat and take your student ID off the table as you walk back toward the lines. The lines weren’t usually full of people this late, did some classes have extra training after or something? You were almost to the utensil rack when you felt a sudden pain on your rear. Holding back a yelp you look back to see who it is.
“Man, I never realized that the second-year hero course girls were so shapely,” someone chuckles.
You had changed into a pair of running shorts after getting your uniform shirt wet, you didn’t want to stay in your uniform all way and wanted to be comfortable while looking after Warai. Not wanting to give them the attention they so desired you quickly grab the fork and make your way quickly to the table. Taking your seat, you notice the silence of the usually rowdy table.
“What’s got you so pissed?” Bakugou questions.
Shaking your head, you hand the fork to the toddler and watch as he eats. Kaminari seemed to have tried to feed Warai, but it wasn’t working well for him. I was just starting to calm down when I heard a voice behind me.
“So, you gonna keep quiet about what that pig did?” Shinso’s low monotonous voice rings.
“It happened once. He didn’t try it again so it will be fine,” you huff.
“What happened?” Bakugou asks again.
Shinso leans on the table ruffling Warai’s hair. “Some third-year jerk slapped her behind.”
The force with which Kaminari pulled away from the table shocked me, Warai was in my arms in a second.
“Kami, it’s fine honestly. Maybe my shorts are a bit short,” you mumble.
Kaminari usually has a calm look so your heart stopped when you saw the spark in his eyes. “That’s no excuse. Besides, who gave them permission to harass younger students?”
You couldn’t stop him, or could you? “Shinso? Could you hold Warai for me?”
“I’m not really good with kids,” he states.
“Just feed him, I’ll be back before you know it,” You place your future child in Shinso’s arms.
Quickly you fast forward your movements alone to quickly catch up to Kaminari. He had a frown on his face as he spoke. Just as you saw one of the third years stand up you almost slip.
“Pause,” You call out locking eyes with Kaminari.
He frowns at your action. “Why would you do that?”
“Because I don’t want you getting in trouble. You still have to help me look after Warai, and it’s hard to take your boyfriend on a shopping date tomorrow if he’s hurt,” you rush.
“Boyfri-. When did that happen?” confusion covered his features.
“Right now,” you grin grabbing the boy. “Rewind.”
Walking back the table you take your previous seat.
“Play.”
“I’ll never get used to your quirk,” he shakes his head.
“Warai, are you being good?” You ask as Shinso hands over the yawning toddler.
His eyes seem to light up and he nuzzles into you. You finish dinner and quickly go back to the dorms. Aizawa sensei was standing at the door.
“So, what happened in the cafeteria?”
“Some jerk was sexually harassing, Yarai,” Bakugou huffs. “If Dunce face hadn’t gotten up, I would have blown his ass to bits.”
“Let’s be happy we avoided physical violence,” you mumble as you adjust your hold on the sleepy child. “Um, by the way, would Kaminari be able to come with us when we go tomorrow?”
Aizawa sensei looks you over and nods. “I don’t see why not.”
“G’night sensei,” you yawn walking into the common room.
“Yarai, are you not going to come today?” Ashido asks.
“I’ll just shower in my room, I gotta bathe Warai too. And he seems a little fussy to be around others,” you point out.
Warai was clutching to your shirt tightly and hiding his face from anyone, he had gotten quieter after eating dinner. So, bringing him in the shared bath with the other girls might not be the best idea. Making your way to your room you struggle a little to open the door, Warai was still refusing to let go of your shirt so you opted for sitting with him until he let go on his own.
An hour later you sat in the bathroom trying to hold the giggly child still. He seemed to like baths, but he was not enjoying the part of washing his hair. You were reluctant to use your normal shampoo on his hair, but that wasn’t the problem. As he played in the shallow bath water you wash out your hair, hearing a sneeze you jump as you see the electricity spike.
“What the hell?!” you gasp putting the showerhead down. “Bless you.”
“Sorry Momma, I didn’t mean to sneeze,” he pouts.
“It’s fine, don’t worry about that,” you chuckle nervously.
Once cleaned and drying his hair with your compact hairdryer you think about his sneeze. Pulling your own hair back, you pick up the sleepy kid and take him down with you as you grab a cup of tea. Peeking into the common room, you notice the bright blond hair of Kaminari. He had a serious face on as he glared at his phone.
“Whatcha doing?”
“Just looking up some date stuff,” he states as he looks up. “I mean nothing.”
“Too late. I got Sensei’s permission, you can come with us,” you smirk. “Um, I have a quick question?”
“What is it?” he tilts his head as you sit next to him.
You look at the half-asleep toddler in your arms. “Have you ever sneezed in the bath? Warai sneezed and I was washing my hair and it kind of shocked me.”
He blinks a few times. “He made the lights flicker?”
“What?”
“I haven’t sneezed in the bath since I was a kid, but yeah I’ve done it. Made myself go stupid a few times,” he explains.
“Oh, well he only apologized,” you frown stroking Warai’s back.
“He’s got a bit of my quirk then, I guess he has sneezed with someone else in the bath,” he frowns.
You lean back on the chair. “I’m hoping he can sleep through the night.”
“Want me to stay on call in case he wakes up, I can knock on your door to wake you up or something,” he offers.
Shaking your head, you get up from the chair. “No that’s alright, I don’t want you to hear me talking in my sleep.”
He chuckles and looks at you for a moment. “You look so comfortable holding him.”
“I’ve gotten used to it, he refuses to walk. Maybe after shopping, I’ll take him to the park to run off energy, or we can play hide n seek in the dorm,” you state.
“Possibly the hide and seek would work better,” he nods.
After a nod, you change your mind on the tea and go back into your room. Warai slept through the night fine, you knew he wasn’t an infant, but you remember your mom telling you often that you hated sleeping at night as a child. Night terrors that lasted into teenage years didn’t help either. Instead of waking up to your alarm you woke up to a text.
Voltagious Jolteon: ‘Morning Sunshine, hope you have a good day’
You glare at the message and see the sleeping child. Picking him up you make your way out of the room with your phone. Classes had just started, so you just needed to eat food and entertain Warai when he woke up.
“Momma, I gotta go peepee,” he mumbles.
You quickly take him back to your room and you help him go to the bathroom. Once he’s finished you go down to the kitchen and make him something to eat, opting for toast yourself. Once you finish eating you stretch in the common room until Warai finishes. Cleaning him up you take him back to your room and get him dressed in his previous clothes. There was a box by the main entrance when you came back down. Walking up to it you peek at it, once sure it was for you, you open it and see a message on your phone.
Best Mom: ‘I hope you got all the clothes we sent you, hope we aren’t too late.’
Opening the box you chuckle at the clothes perfect for Warai.
You: ‘Thanks mom, your clairvoyance never ceases to amaze me.’
Hauling the box upstairs you place everything on your dresser, poking out from under the clothes is long ears, you gently pull and out pops your old stuffed toy. Chuckling you grab the small bear off your bed and hold them to Warai.
“Rairai, which one?”
“Bear, he looks like Sparks,” he cheers.
Handing over the bear you place your old rabbit in his place. Before taking him back downstairs, you grab a spare bag and put your wallet in you go back downstairs. The rest of the time before lunch was spent sitting around reading and watching a little bit of TV, lucky for you no one hides the remote anymore.
After lunch, you smile at Warai. “Wanna play hide and seek?”
“No thank you, adventure. I wanna go to Papa’s room,” he asks.
“Uh…” You pick up your phone and think for a moment. “We can’t go when Papa isn’t back. We can go to his room when he gets back.”
“Fine, I still wanna adventure,” he whines.
Desperate times, you think to yourself. Setting the small child on the couch you hold up your finger.
“When there is a 1 right here turn around okay?” you point to the screen of your phone.
“Are we going on an adventure?” he pouts.
“Mhmm,” you nod.
He focuses on the TV and you quickly go to the spare sheets closet, for some reason or another you ended buying several sheets for no reason at all. So in combination with the hundreds of hooks around the dorm walls you started building, you finished quicker than you expected.
“Warai? Momma can’t seem to find her way out of this blanket fort, do you think you can help me?”
Truthfully you knew where to go, but when you and Izuku played as kids you would often pretend not to know how to get back to be the hero. Warai found you quickly, and a confused voice brought you back when picking up the sleepy toddler. Walking from under the mess of sheets attached to the walls you sent a weak smile.
“Sorry, I’ll clean up after I lay him down for his nap,” you chuckle.
Warai was passed out in your arms, so it wasn’t too tricky putting him in the middle of your futon when you got to your room. Back downstairs you quickly fold and put all the sheets away.
“Seems like the two of you had fun?” Sero laughs.
You shake your head. “He was calm most of the time, that was until he wanted to take an adventure into Papa’s room.”
Kaminari put his bag down and raised a brow. “You could have taken him in my room.”
Unamused you shook your head, “Kaminari, last time I went into your room you had a magazine on your dresser.”
“Oh, got it. Um sorry, I thought I cleaned up,” he rushes away.
Leaving his bag on one of the chairs, you sat down for a moment closing your eyes. But this only lasted a moment before you bolt up and walk up to your room, he should be fine. You can hear him from downstairs. He was really tired, and it’s not like night terrors are hereditary right? Looking at your makeshift bed from the door you heaved a sigh. He’s fine. Why are you so worried?
“Hey, Yarai. You wanna look at the homework while he sleeps?” Kaminari’s voice startles you.
You look back to him and nod. Walking back down to the common room you watch as Kaminari pulls out the work.
“Not gonna miss a lot my ass,” you mumble as you look through the papers.
After thirty minutes you woke up Warai from his nap and left with Kaminari. Walking off campus with Warai clinging to you wasn’t a problem for you. Kaminari didn’t seem to mind it either.
“Where did you want to go first?” he asks adjusting his hold on your bag.
“I was thinking we could take a trip to the department store. I needed to get something, and we can grab some activity books or pictures books for him,” you explain.
He nods. “Alright sounds good, you grabbed your train pass, right?”
“Mhmm, you have yours?”
“Yup.”
Although walking on the street was fine on the train was another monster. One student forked over a seat for you to sit down, and you tried to cover your embarrassment. Kaminari tried to make light conversation with you, but you could still hear a few women talking about you. The reason was that everyone knew UA’s students especially the hero class students. Stepping off the subway and into the fresh air took the stress off you.
“Maybe we should have left when you got back,” you mumble looking up at the sky.
“We’re fine as long as we get back before curfew,” he chuckles.
Walking into the department store you place Warai down, he was wearing the shoes that your mother had sent and was ecstatic. Getting to the level with children’s things you picked up two sippy cups for him and a little eating set,
“Kaminari? Do we still have the thermometer in the kitchen?” you ask.
“Yeah, I think so,” he mutters.
It was only a moment before you notice the things you had, almost everything. Paying for those things it was time for you to grab him some other things.
“Do you think you can handle taking him down to clothes and buying a swimsuit?” you ask.
“What for?”
“I was going to ask to visit a public pool over break so he can swim and run off energy. The sheet tent will only work so many times,” you reply.
“Alright, what are you getting?”
“Picture books and activity books, maybe a book for me. I’m not sure. After we can get ready to go,” you nod.
“Call me if there any problems,” he waves.
Warai is in his arms and waves to you. You send a small wave back, so cute. Picking the books for Warai was easy, but the book for you would have to wait. After paying, you make your way out to look for Kaminari. Great, you thought of what to do but not where to meet after. Reluctantly you call the blond.
“Pick up the phone,” you whisper leaning on a wall.
“Hey, Sunshine. Um, we’re still looking for a swimsuit. He said he wants a Volt one,” Kaminari answers.
You blink a few times and start your walk down to the kids' swim clothes. “That might not be from our time period.”
“Oh, you’re right,” he sighs. “Sorry bud, want to get an All-might one or Hawks?”
“They made a Hawks theme suit?” you roll your eyes.
“Yeah, apparently.” You hear behind you and over the phone.
Hanging up you walk to the two. “How about we find one that you might wear Kami?”
“Sounds good in theory,” he laughs.
You nod and start looking through the racks. It was only a moment before you found one that Warai lit up at. After paying for it you insured Kaminari’s help to carry the bags, all you had to do was ride the train back. The train wasn’t as full of passengers as last time, and you found yourself leaning into Kaminari during the ride.
“You’re late,” Aizawa sensei’s voice scolds.
“Sorry sensei,” you apologize.
He sighs. “I’m going to come to the dorm tomorrow morning because you have been given the assignment of looking after Eri.”
You raise a brow. “Did you want me to babysit since I’m already doing that?”
“Assignment,” he confirms.
Smothering a chuckle, you went inside the dorm and made your way to your room. Kaminari was following behind you diligently and places the bags by your door.
Brushing the bangs of the sleepy toddler. “You are on bath duty. I need to do some cleaning up and rearranging, please.”
“Dinner then bath?” he confirms.
You nod, you really didn’t want to leave this in his hands since he had class tomorrow and Kaminari is a child in his own right. Both cleaning up your room and taking everything apart to put away took longer than you thought. Luckily for you, shelf-stable snacks were in your room, so to substitute for dinner you drank the vitamin jelly and place the remaining toys in the box all the clothes had come in. A spare drawer now holds all Warai’s clothes, and small shoes sit in your closet next to your own. You had just finished when there was a knock at the door.
“Come in,” you call.
The door opens and Kaminari walks in, he stays in the doorway and you wave a hand closer. Taking that as an okay he walks in, Warai was sound asleep gripping tightly to Kaminari’s shirt. It was a bit of a struggle laying him in the futon, but once he was down, he grabbed Sparky the bear and was back asleep. About to kick the male from your room you notice an emotion dance in his eyes that stops you.
“What’s up?” you whisper.
He shakes his head and walks to the door; you follow after him and watch as he walks to his room.
The next morning you got dressed and up with everyone else, Sensei was at the door with Eri as the others left for breakfast. Eri was only a little bit older and she had a grin plastered to her face.
“Papa let me bring my kitty along,” Eri grins presenting the stuffed toy.
“How nice,” you smile as Warai attempts to bolt up the stairs.
You manage to catch up with the toddler as he tries to climb. Waving Eri on to follow you, the three of you go up to your room. You make a mental note to take the elevator for the rest of Warai’s stay Warai leads the two of you to your room and proudly presents the bear.
“Momma gave me Sparky,” he grins holding the bear.
“Yes, let’s get back downstairs. Did you have anything you wanted to do today Eri?” You ask as the three of you make your way to the elevator.
“Papa told me I can help you, since looking after someone little is a lot of work,” she grins.
“Your school finishes early?” You ask.
Eri nods excitedly, after tutoring Aizawa sensei has informed the class at the beginning of the year that Eri was attending a school like normal. You had only a slim knowledge at the time about the little girl but you were still happy for her none the less.
“How old is he?” Eri asks.
“I’m two, my name is Warai, but momma calls me Rairai,” he grins.
“You’re his momma?” She asks.
You nod a little bit, you saw no reason to explain farther and complicate the matter to her. Once in the bottom level again you started making breakfast, after placing the food down for the two kids you cleaned your mess. They were both really calm, and you used the spare dorm rooms as assistance to entertain.
“Mayuri, did you have fun?” Your boyfriend was holding Warai gingerly and you sit up seeing Sensei holding Eri.
“I say that you passed this assignment,” he nods before taking his leave.
Kaminari took a seat next to you and you lean against him.
“I’m so glad classes are over,” he grins.
“I’m going to use you until you break you know that right,” you yawn.
He tensed at your words. “What?”
“You will be helping me as much as possible, I won’t hold you down. But expect to be tired when he leaves,” you add.
Summer break started, everyone didn’t have to worry about too much unless they needed their internship hours. Using the distance to your house in Hokkaido as an excuse you had gathered your hours during the spring. No one topped how many hours Bakugou and Izuku had but you were high on the list.
Only a week after classes were finished you sat in your room watching the toddler rest. Every day you would take him to one of the training grounds and you both would run around like nuts. Kaminari was playing with his friends and you saw no reason to bother him.
“Yuri,” Izuku grins.
“What’s up?” You ask pushing off the floor.
“Mom wants to know if you wanna visit. Aunty already told her about the situation. She really wants to see him too,” Izuku explains.
“Um sure, I don’t mind visiting Aunty Inko,” you nod. “I’ll tell Kami that he has a break.”
“Alright, we leave tomorrow afternoon. We can even go to the pool if you want,” he suggests.
“Sounds good to me,” you nod. “Bye Zuzu.”
He waves and you sit back down at your desk, Warai would wake up in a little bit and then you would ask Kaminari if he wanted to spend time with Warai before you left.
Warai immediately got up and started looking for Kaminari, something you found concerning. You follow after the toddler and assist when necessary. Knocking on the door you wait for the male to answer.
The door opens slowly, and you see the grinning blond. “Oh, hey baby, hey little man.” Plucking the toddler off the ground he sends you a smile.
“Hey, sorry we don’t spend as much time with you. I don’t wanna bother Tsuki or anyone else,” you point out.
“You wouldn’t be a bother, is there something else?” He asks.
“Oh, Zuzu asked if I wanted to visit Aunty with Warai. We’re going tomorrow it won’t be for long,” you explain.
Warai smiles. “Grandma Inko, yay!”
“How about you call her Aunty tomorrow, she might flood the apartment if you call her grandma,” you state weakly.
“Oh, I was gonna ask if you want to swing by my family home, we live by a pool and that way two birds one stone,” he states.
“When were you gonna go?” You ask.
“Tomorrow,” he squeaks.
“How about we spend two days at my aunt’s house and two days at yours. I don’t wanna be a bother,” you state again.
He frowns and hugs you with his free arm. “Say that again and I’m showering you in kisses. You are not a bother. Come in my room, I bet Warai doesn’t want to just spend time with Papa.”
You shrug and follow into the room. He was getting ready to leave, you guess, clothes were haphazardly hanging out of a suitcase sitting by his bed. With a quick kick, he slides the case under his bed.
“Don’t forget that it’s there,” you joke as you walk in.
Kaminari’s room was a lot warmer than yours so you look at him confused. He sits on the bed and smiles at you, leading you to take a seat next to him as Warai smiles.
“Daddy, did you know? My favorite hero his name is Charge bolt,” he grins. “But sometimes people call him Volt.”
“That’s a really cool hero name,” you nod.
“That’s my hero name, Charge Bolt,” Kaminari points out. “Midnight helped us all pick ours. Maybe she’ll give you a one on one to pick yours.”
“I have a hero name,” you cross your arms.
“What is it?”
“Record,” you sigh. “It was my little cousin’s idea. I kind of like it.”
“Daddy who’s your favorite hero?” Warai asks bringing the attention back to him.
Kaminari laughs and pauses. “I could be like our three biggest fanboys and say All Might, but that would be a lie. So, I guess Hawks, he’s got a really laid-back attitude and seems like an overall chill guy.”
“I like Midnight, I think it’s because she helped tutor me before officially transferring into the hero department,” you admit.
“Momma, did you used to like All Might too?” Hands grip your fingers as you nod.
“Your uncle Zuzu likes All Might a lot, ever since we were your age. Aunty might lend me some of his old pajamas,” you realize.
Kaminari smirks. “Send me pictures.”
“Why? I can just show you in person. Aunty’s house is only a bus ride away from the school. Where do you live by the way?”
“It might be a little bit to get to my house, you’ll probably want to ride the train,” Kaminari winces.
“Rai likes trains,” grins the toddler.
“Yes, you do,” you chuckle.
You only stay in the room for a little bit longer, in an effort to preserve finances some of your classmates thought it’d be good to cook dinner for the dorm every once in a while. You opted for today making Curry.
The next afternoon you were standing in the front door of your Aunt’s apartment, her face went white as a sheet when she laid eyes on the toddler in your arms.
“He looks just like you did when you were that age,” she coos hugging you both tightly.
“Hi, Aunty. How are you?” You laugh hugging her back.
“I’d be better if your cousin would stop giving me mini heart attacks,” she frowns.
“I can’t help it, mom, was there any real reason you wanted Yuri yo to come with me?” He raises a brow putting the bags down.
Aunty Inko quickly walks into the spare room and pulls out the box. We both marvel at it and chuckle.
“Look Warai, Uncle Zuzu used to be so small,” you hold up the little AllMight pajamas that you remember from pictures.
The two days at your cousin’s house continue like that, it was relaxing. It was the morning of the third day when you had agreed with Kaminari to meet at the train station. Izuku follows you to the station and waves when you pass the gate. Warai was sleeping, a pleasurable thing seeing as you had to figure out how to hold your bag during the train ride. All worked out when you got on, not may people were getting on at this time and in no time you were approaching the stop. Warai was only half awake and when you stepped into the platform, he lost it.
“Let me help you,” Kaminari’s voice was sleepy too as he picked the crying child from my arms.
Warai seemed to calm down and you heave a sigh. “I was scared he’d scream during the ride here. Someone was nice enough to let me have the bag in the seat.”
“Well come on, my mom is kind of excited to meet you. I told her about the situation,” he admits.
“Kami you didn’t have to do that,” you argue.
He stops mid step. “Denki.”
“Kami.”
“Denki, my parents share my surname too you know,” he corrects.
“Den-kun,” you offer.
“That works, come on. I bet you haven’t eaten yet either,” he jokes.
You quicken your step. “Are you sure you don’t have like a future seeing quirk or something?”
The walk to his house was a bit of a hike, but after stopping for food you both find that the toddler that had been sound asleep was ready to bolt with every step. Letting the toddler walk, really waddle, it wasn’t long before you got to Kaminari’s house.
“Hello,” you whisper bowing to his parents.
“Hi, we’re Denki’s parents. I hope you don’t mind he explained the situation, but do you really have a time-based quirk?” His mother asks.
You nod, you tried to put the bag down slowly, but it didn’t work. Pausing it mid drop you change your hold on the bag before playing it again.
“I can pause, play and fast forward things, I don’t usually rewind unless it’s necessary,” you explain adjusting your goggles.
“And you have a support item?” His father points out.
“Sorry, I can wear the more normal ones if it will make you more comfortable. Without my goggles I can’t tell how long I can use my quirk,” you explain.
“Momma did nothing wrong,” Warai pouts clinging to my leg.
“You’re right, sorry. I’m just worried. Denki seems to have taken being a hero a little more seriously,” his mom admits.
You look at the male as he looks away. He grabbed your hand before you could even take your shoes off all the way. Luckily you grabbed Warai before entering, as Denki drags the two of you up.
“We don’t have a clean spare room for you. But you can sleep in my room,” he offers.
“Papa, was that your momma and papa?” Warai asks.
“Mhmm, they will warm up to you Yuri, I promise,” he grins as he opens the door.
The room was mostly empty, probably due to most of his things being at the school. But it was nice, as your eyes lay on the bed in the corner you frown a bit.
“Do you have a futon we can use instead?” You ask sheepishly.
“Yeah, I do,” he nods.
You breathe a sigh of relief. “Alright, cool. So, what have you been doing until now?”
“Reading, practicing,” he shrugs.
“Rai wants to practice too,” the toddler jumps up and down.
You giggle and nod. “Alright let’s practice together, what are you practicing?”
Denki looks away, and quickly shuffles to his closet. It was only a moment before a small table was placed in the open space and a few books.
“I’m drawing a manga, it’s a little something I started first year,” he admits. “It’s more like a collection of doujins though.”
You pick up one of the little books, they were really well kept and beautifully drawn. Putting it down you grin,
“That’s really cool Den-kun,” you praise as Warai climbs into your lap.
Another one is thrusted into your face and you chuckle, looking carefully you blink.
“Is that me? Like Future me?” you ask pointing to the picture.
“Yeah, Warai showed me the little message thing,” he shrugs.
A knock at the door makes us all turn.
“Yes?” Denki answers.
The door opens and his father places the backpack on the ground.
“You forgot this when you dragged her up the stairs,” he states.
“Thank you,” you mumble as he closes the door.
The afternoon was full of drawing and a nap. You did not expect to pass out from the all the hustle and bustle of everything, but it happened. Waking up to Warai pulling your goggles off you almost jump.
“Mommy your goggles were on too tight,” he states as he holds them.
You nod and go into your backpack, pulling out the glasses case you put the other pair on. “Is this better?”
He nods, “Daddy went downstairs.”
Standing up you follow the toddler down the stairs, seeing Denki you almost step out of the hallway but let Warai run to him first. Maybe you should let him spend his stay here with Denki. About to turn around you almost run into his mother.
“I’m sorry,” you mutter.
“It’s fine dear, could I talk to you for a bit?” she asks.
You follow her to the kitchen and wait. “Sorry.”
“Why are you apologizing? I should be the one to apologize,” she sighs. “I never thought that by going to school Denki would take this seriously.”
“But… I’m sorry. I thought you’d hate me,” you state.
“Why would I? I am secure in knowing my son will be happy in the future and it’s because of you,”

Hello may I request a matchup for my male OC?
His name is Charles Kendrick, an English-Welsh student of UA with Celtic and British roots. He's 5'6", kinda skinny with fair skin, brown hair, hazel eyes, and has a lot of small moles and freckles. His fashion is either a gamer or a jock. Queer but goes with he/him pronouns, ENFP, and a Gryffinpuff. Extrovert, laid-back, free spirited, appreciative, and genuine person who loves to socialize with other people on and off the social media sites. Naturally funny because of his contagious laugh and he's extremely careful to sensitive people. He may have a pleasing personality, but once he sensed there are fake friends or backstabbers, he'll just call them out when they're not in front of them until they disconnect with him.
He's also mildly rebellious, can be rude when he's in a bad mood, and swears a lot even he didn't mean it just to look cool. He doesn't even care if he has a failing grades because he believes that learning is everywhere, not in books alone. That's why he condemned his family for being manipulative but they're actually discipling him. Not to mention he's also flirtatious (but in a friendly way), where his punchlines are annoying but sweet, this is his way to have a significant other. But unfortunately, he's only good on words, not on actions.
A proud gamer, he could spent his time to his computer or any gaming consoles all throughout the day. Very active in social media considering he also have a lot of friends there, also creates memes and have a blog dedicated to aesthetic photos. He can make a program or a website for being a computer enthusiast plus a rugby player even he's not the best among the team.
charlotte’s interlude 💗- hey hi!! sorry for the confusion, im quite slow 😭 i hope you enjoy, your character writing is so great!! have a great day!
warnings;
i match you with…
Denki Kaminari!! (aka Chargebolt)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
this song for them!! ^^
kami noticed charles’s humor first!!
he loved just how extroverted charles is!! he feels like he can be open and fun with him
kami isn’t super rebellious but he wouldn’t mind charles’s rebellious nature, he always supports charles and tries to cheer him up!
THE FLIRTATIOUS NATURE ON BOTH OF THEM
they have absolutely terrible pick up line battles
“Are you a camera? Because every time I look at you, I smile 🤪”
“Are you trash? Because I wanna take you OUT 🤪”
“OOOO GOOD ONE BABE”
gaming together is a frequent activity!! kami isn’t as good as charles but he tries 💀💀
emphasis on tries
he loves how smart charles is on technology!! he’ll ask him to fix the computer when literally all charles had to do was unplug it and plug it back in 💀
IF CHARLES HAD A RUGBY TEAM JACKET, IT IS ALWAYS ON KAMI NO MATTER WHAT
that isn’t charles’s jacket anymore, it’s kami’s now 💀
all in all, they’re such a fun couple omg

control [denki kaminari x oc chuya tanaka]
Tumblr media
[ i highly recommend listening to the song i used for inspo when reading each of these stories.]
[song: CONTROL by: Zoe Wees]
don’t know if you get ‘cause i can’t express how thankful i am
that you were always with me when it hurts, i know that you understand
i don’t wanna lose control
nothing i can do anymore
trying everyday when i hold my breath
spinning out in space, pressing on my chest
Sitting in his room, Denki felt defeated. Since moving into the dorms at UA and seeing all of his amazing classmates having the math homework done.
It wasn’t until it was time for dinner and everyone in class 1a had gathered in the common room to eat together like they did every single night after class that people started to worry about Denki who had not come to eat. “Where’s Kaminari?” someone asked, but no one knew.
Chuya Tanaka had entered class 1a late due to a family issue, with her parents being heroes who were severely injured. Her quirk was called electricity generation it was very similar to Denki’s except that she has that ability to aim her discharges where Denki can’t without outside help. Her entrance into the class made Denki feel even worse, and the worse part is that she was a nice girl but he couldn’t help comparing himself to her and making her out to be a bad person in his head. He hated himself for that.
“It’s her fault that he’s like this.” Bakugo rolled his eyes and pointed at Chuya. “She basically has his quirk but is a million times more skilled and controlled.” Everyone else quickly told Bakugo to shut up and tried to explain that it had nothing to do with Chuya, but she knew it did.
When she first joined the class and met everyone, she was so excited to meet Denki because they had such similar quirks, but he always avoided her. She knew that her presence was making him uncomfortable. “I’ll go check on him,”
“You’ll just make it worse. You’re no better than a glorified battery pack.” Bakugo spat, this was his way of showing that he does care about Denki.
“You’re right, and I might not help. But I haven’t always been this in control of my quirk, you’re only seeing how I am now. Not how I used to be, and you have no idea what I went through to get it like this. For Denki, I’m glad he can’t control it well yet, it means that he must not have been tortured the same way I was.” Chuya explained before she got up and went to Denki’s room.
“Kaminari?” She knocked on the door and there was only a faint, “come in”
When she opened the door she could just feel how upset he was, even if he put on his smile to try and hide it. He was never rude to her, or let his negative feelings out in the open, instead he just always avoided her.
“You didn’t come to dinner, and I know I haven’t been here long but I don't remember anyone ever missing dinner. Are you feeling okay?”
Denki sat up in his bed, still under the covers and patted the edge of the bed for Chuya to come sit. “The first time I ever used my quick I hurt my whole class. It manifested in the middle of the day and I sent out so much discharge all over the place that my whole class was temporarily paralyzed. Luckily I was only a child so the wattage was still fairly low and no one suffered any long term damage. But since then… Have I not improved at all? No matter what I do…If Yaoyorozu isn’t around to make a covering to protect others from my wattage I can’t do anything except hurt others.”
“I’m sorry, I know that since I’ve come you have been comparing yourself to me. Or better yet you’ve been hearing the others comparing us. But I don’t want you to compare yourself to me, there is no point. We may have similar quirks but we are different people and even if they are similar they are different. Your quirk is amazing Kaminari, don’t forget that.”
“I don’t even know why I’m here, I want to be a hero… but what kind of hero could I be? My quirk can hurt civilians or people I’m trying to rescue. I can’t control where I want my discharge to go…not like you…” Denki hid his head under the blanket refusing to look at Chuya.
“Didn’t I just say to stop comparing yourself to me?” Chuya took the blanket to uncover Denki’s head. “Kaminari, when I was younger, I also could not control where the discharge from my quirk went, I hurt my best friend growing up, I hurt them so much that they parents would let them near me again. I grew up known as the lightning bolt, everyone was afraid of me. I trained for hours every day until I wore myself down trying to control it. I’m glad that you didn’t have to go through what I did. If I learned anything in my life, it’s that it’s okay to be a little out of control.”
“But…” Denki pulled the blanket out of Chuya’s hands trying to cover himself again as if the soft blanket would protect his fragile heart and emotions.
“No buts Kaminari! I’m sure with some more training and some help from the support students you can feel more confident in your abilities. I won’t say to make you better, because even though I  don’t know you well yet, I think you’re pretty cool Kaminari. Oh and also, you can call me Chu.” She tugged on the blanket so he couldn’t hide himself. "People tend to think that having a quirk like ours is only useful to charge phones… like a glorified battery…" Chuya mumbled, maybe to Denki or maybe to herself, she wasn't sure.
Hearing what Chuya said about feeling like a battery, Denki wanted to break down into tears. However, he managed to control himself. He knew exactly how she was feeling, at school people used him to charge their phones, to light up buildings, and charge a car once. Denki knew that it was useful for rescue missions, but other than that what could he do? And even then if he used too much wattage he becomes an idiot, as his classmates like to call him.
"I don't want to lose control again." A single tear fell onto the blanket. Chuya grabbed his hand and just smiled. "I try every single day to not lose control, I hold my breath and just hope for the best. I'm scared of hurting everyone around me. I panic when I need to fight…" This time, it was more than a single tear. Denki couldn't explain why he suddenly felt so comfortable around Chuya, the new girl he had been avoiding. Maybe it was because she knew what he was going through, or maybe it was because unlike everyone else she could see him as more than an idiot classmate.
"If you ever lose control, I'll be with you. I can't be hurt by electricity, I can redirect it too. Don't be afraid anymore. And come eat some dinner, I saw Bakugo saving you a plate. But don't tell him I saw him," Chuya let out a small laugh and pulled the blanket off of Denki. "Come on Kaminari,"
"Denki. You can call me Denki…Chu."
A few days later class 1A was doing some training and suddenly the league of villains appeared out of nowhere. The sudden attack scattered the students. Denki was alone with Shoji, Tokoyami, and Chuya. Denki panicked not knowing how to help, he couldn't let out an attack because his classmates were too close to him.
Useless…useless…
You can't even help your friends.
Denki's thoughts ran wild. It wasn't until Chuya screamed that Denki was pulled from his thoughts. Shoji and Tokoyami were fighting but Chuya was laying on the floor behind some lower ranked villains. Just due to the sheer difference in numbers the others were starting to become overwhelmed.
Chuya tried to get up and fight more, but she could barely stand. As she fell back onto her knees she called out to Denki. Since they spoke in his room a few nights ago the pair had been training to help him control his electricity. Denki looked around nervously as Tokoyami and Shoji were still fighting but he decided to trust Chuya who trusted his abilities and he let out a stong current of electricity.
Denki watched as Tokoyami and Shoji didn't even flinch. Did they trust him? Were they not afraid of him making a dumb mistake?
Chuya saw Denki and noticed how his attack would hit Shoji and Tokoyami. She could see how he was trying to control it, but his quirk is one that can’t easily be controlled. mustered all the strength that she had left and redirected the current to take out the villains who were left surrounding them before collapsing back down. "I knew you could do it…" She said quietly as Shoji hurried over to her.
"I'm sorry we couldn't protect you," Shoji said quietly.
"You guys did protect me, I'm sorry I wasn't more helpful." But in all honesty it wasn't her fault. Someone came from behind and stabbed her side. Looking down at herself she didn't even notice how much she was bleeding.
Tokoyami and Denki came over and saw the state she was in. Denki froze and just took her hand. Shoji picked her up to cover her and bring her back to the school but Denki never let go of her hand. As she began to lose consciousness she heard only the beginning of their conversation and was able to smile despite her current state.
"When did you and Tanaka come up with such a move? You guys both really saved us back there," Tokoyami began. The three boys continue talking while Tokoyami and Shoji praise Kaminari and Chuya.
Once they are back at the school the teachers direct Shoji to take Chuya to Recovery Girl and Denki followed. Tokoyami stayed to give his report on who attacked them and where the rest of the scattered students went.
In the nurse’s office, Shoji had left Denki alone with Chuya. “I never want to lose control… thank you Chu, I can’t express how thankful I am. Thank you for holding my hand that night so many days ago and believing in me.”

I FEEL SO HIGH SCHOOL
shinso x reader
angst, breakup, jealousy, general heartbreak sadness
its been a month since you called it quits, and shinso goes through your instagram late at night.
a/n: keeping tabs on him is what made me feel sane, to be honest. this one is a hugeeee vent and i hope you enjoy <3
a/n: TORTURED POETSSSSSSSS
Tumblr media
1:02 am
he knew that realistically, he’d only hurt himself. social media doesn’t snitch on you when you stalk your ex, not unless your stupid or desperate enough to like an old post or hit ‘message’. and he knew you two weren’t talking right now.
it was a messy, messy breakup. to be fair, no breakups are seamless and fair. but yours was beyond just plain messy. feelings were unorganized, old sweaters tossed all over the floor in despair, and both your accounts were completely cleaned out online. he hated deleting his posts for you. but he only did it after he saw you do it first.
shinso was starting to hate his phone. mostly because so much of it was haunted by you. old texts, albums made for you, playlists of your songs together, but there was something about his and your instagram accounts that made it so hard. it was probably because social media is the place to share tidbits of your life- and a year of his life had been with you. but its over now. now what?
he couldn’t sleep tonight. he wanted to hear your voice. he called you twice and no answer. he knew deep down you were asleep, that you didn’t like staying up as late as he did. he wondered if you were dreaming about him.
he missed sleeping with you, so much. he missed getting to snuggle up next to you and drift off in your warmth, begging you to stay in bed with him the next morning. you were always an early riser. even on days you were apart, he missed calling you late at night. he missed falling asleep on the phone with you, not caring how bad it was for his battery life to do so.
he just fucking missed you.
he wondered if you missed him too.
after hearing your voicemail play out, basking in the sound of your voice apologizing for not picking up- knowing that that apology wasn’t meant for him anyway- he clicked instagram. his friends were up and active, spamming texts into the groupchat he was smart enough to mute. he knew they meant well, asking him for the details of your split and offering to spend time with him, but shinso preferred to hurt alone. maybe its because he knew that none of the people that cared about him could be you.

xx_yaomomo: CUTEEEE
alienqueen: HAIRCUT REVEAL??
heartz4uraraka: BABYYYY
he scrolled through your posts, looking at the comments your friends left for you. you got your haircut, something that shocked him. you always loved your long hair. you always loved him. thats two things gone.
Tumblr media

[y/n]_username: @ejk1rishima SHUT UP
he knew his friends were your friends too. it was unfair of him to expect them all to suddenly drop you the way he did, but he never expected it to sting this much.
shinso knew that rooftop. it was the roof of your parents apartment complex. you used to take him and him alone there, claiming it was a spot you only wanted to spend with the people you love. he knew all the little stories, like when you were eight and you threw up over the edge of the building after eating too much ice cream, or when you had your first kiss with him at 2am.
it was a spot just for you two. at least, thats what you told him.
that spot was now filled with other people you loved. he knew it was selfish of him to hope that that place in your heart remains for him and only him, but he also knew it was wrong.
he wanted to be selfish so fucking bad.
Tumblr media

shotdrki: beautiful <3
shinso turned off his phone.
he felt a knot form in his chest at the sight. he could put two and two together, seeing you with flowers, your favourite flowers, and someone else calling you what you are. someone that wasn’t him.
shinso knew why he had to end the relationship. he needed to focus on himself, on his hero career and he knew he couldn’t love you under those conditions. it broke his heart knowing he broke yours, knowing this was what he had to do in order for you to be better off.
she deserves better. he thought.
but it also drove him insane thinking about you being with another guy. it drove him crazy wondering who out there was going to be with you. who out there is telling you they love you, who’s holding you and fucking holding your hand.
it just couldn’t be him.
he couldn’t help himself, unlocking his phone and opening your messages. he removed the heart next to your name, only so that when he would call he wouldn’t be tricked into thinking you were still together. god knows he can’t go through that heartbreak again.
[y/n]: i wanna be yours forever
[y/n]: i love you ♥️
shinso felt the memory of your love roll down his cheeks.

I watched more of the matches, so far, Kirishima, Sato, Denki and Mina have failed. Right now, I was rushing to the teachers lounge to check in on Pops. Koda summoned bugs with his quirk to attack Pops and I could feel my skin crawling just watching. Unpleasant thoughts of the foster center circling in my brain.
Hitoshi was right by my side as we made haste to get to the room, upon opening we found Pops curled into Dads chest shaking.
I didn't know Pops had a fear of bugs.
Not just a fear, a phobia. I have it too.
Oh?
Kasumi, back at the center, was kinda really fucked. She would put bugs on our necks and down our shirts and if we shook them off or smacked them, then she would beat us. It would always make me scream so she would put the muzzle on me, probably did the same to Pops. It was worse for the kids who were afraid of bugs to begin with, then she would purposefully do it. For me it was once a week, probably the same for Pops too.
Shit.
Toshi signed at my mini trauma dump explanation. Dad watched us closely as we approached, clearly not wanting to overwhelm Pops any more.
"Hey Pops?" He sniffled and turned a bit. "Can I give you a hug too?" He nodded with a sad smile. I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him tightly, knowing the pressure always helped me. "It's okay." My voice came out muffled. "She can't do it anymore, she's in jail now." He hugged me a little tighter, Hitoshi joined in and we had a family hug going on.
"I love you all, so so much." Pops said quietly to us. We all returned the sentiment, glad that he calmed down even a little bit.
"Zashi? Are you okay? I don't think I've ever really seen you react like that." Auntie Nem stated as she walked over.
"Foster stuff." I mumbled to her, not knowing how much my honorary uncles were allowed to know. She hummed and nodded, placating him further with comforting back rubs.
We stayed in the teachers lounge until it was Hitoshi and Sero against Auntie Nem. Unfortunately, she got the drop on the two and put Sero to sleep. I watched with my parents as Hitoshi managed to evade her until he was out of her sights, but unfortunately, she was guarding the exit.
Hitoshi waited in silence for twenty minutes, five minutes remaining on the clock. I bounced my leg nervously, hoping that his plan would work.
"The exam has ended, Shinsou Hitoshi and Sero Hanta have ran out of time resulting in failure. Please exit the battle ground to discuss results." Hitoshi used his voice modifier to sound like Principal Nedzu.
"Interesting." And just like that, Auntie Nem was under his control.
Hitoshi ran over whilst holding his breath and placed the cuffs on her before backing out of the cloud of purple pink fumes. He breathed heavily a few times before the announcement came through that they won.
"Good luck." Pops told me as I left to meet Midoriya and Bakugou at the arena entrance.
The blond scoffed at the sight of us, ready to try and win this on his own. A horn blared and the door opened.
"Team Midoriya, Bakugou and Tsukare. Practical exam. Ready, go!" A faux voice came from the speaker, Bakugou stomped off before we could say a thing, making his way through the fake city streets.
"I have to talk to him, we're a team, we should be discussing this." I looked at Midoriya as he spoke, the pair of us a decent amount behind the angry blond.
"I gave it a shot earlier, trying to make him listen will only piss him off more." I mumbled to him. I sighed as he jogged up to Bakugou. I stayed behind until the blond hit Midoriya in the head with one of his gauntlets.
"I don't wanna hear another word." Bakugou strained out, a growl emanating from him when I stormed up. He went to throw a right hook but I caught his fist.
"Too bad." He groaned in pain and tried to shake my grip. "You don't scare me. You have no power over me unless it's physical. You wanna win? Pull on your big boy pants and act like it." I shoved him back.
"Kacchan can we just talk this through?"
"I told you we don't need your dumb power to pass! I'm gonna win it all by myself!" Bakugou screamed at the top of his lungs.
"Could you stop yelling?!? This is why we never have real conversations!" Midoriya yelled in turn.
"Both of you shut the hell up for two seconds!" The two looked at me in shock, never having snapped on my best friend before. "Midoriya, you yelling back is pointless. Bakugou, this is a test of cooperation as well. You wanna beat All Might? Go right ahead, but part of our test is you working with us and vice versa. All Might is at the end of this road, right in front of the entrance. He's.. throwing a punch? To the air? Run." The two looked forward to see rubble and debris hurling towards us but I was already running over towards a building. I didn't make it in time, dozens of pebbles hitting me in rapid succession as I got blown back with the two.
"Who really cares if I destroy this city?" All Might asked, owning up to the role of the villain for our test. I looked to Midoriya and shared a quick but silent conversation with him, using the remaining cover of debris to get behind a building. The adrenaline coursing through my veins being the only thing keeping me coherent enough to fight. All Might stomped on the ground, clearing the cover I just used. "If you think of this as an exam and not a real fight, you'll be sorry. I'm a villain now, heroes. Remember that. You better come at me with everything you've got. I won't pull my punches!" I tried to steady my breathing as I watched from the small alleyway. Midoriya went to run but Bakugou still insisted on fighting head on.
"Over here." I used my quirk on its highest strength as All Might started closing in on the blond. He turned his head and went off course, not having time to shield his eyes from a Stun Grenade. Bakugou lunged, talking about giving all he got, but All Might grabbed him by the face, holding him mid air. I shirked back into the wall when I realized the lengths he'll go. Bakugou let off a rapid fire of explosions to the 'villains' face until he was slammed into the ground harshly.
"Where are you going?" All Might asked as he zoomed away.
"Midoriya run, he's behind you." I made sure it was on a non painful level for my friend, and thankfully he listened, finally running but All Might was too fast.
"Don't think I've forgotten about you Young Midoriya, or Young Tsukare. Are you really going to leave your teammate and run away?"
"Shut your mouth." All Might winced and I felt slightly relieved knowing I had some sort of impact on him.
"Run!" Midoriya screamed and I knew it was directed to me. I scaled the fire escape and ran across rooftops, jumping across the ones I needed to but I still stayed as low as I could.
Until All Might appeared in front of me. He grabbed my arm and jumped off the roof, surely planning to crush me into the ground like Bakugou. I clung onto his arm like a koala, making the only thing directly hit my arm.
A sickening crunch sounded around me and a horrible and familiar pain followed. However it was my left arm, not my right. I sent a kick as hard as I could and hit him in the nuts, the hero keeling over and grimacing. I took my chance to run behind and between buildings again. I caught my breath and moved to set my arm as best as I could with the makeshift kit for one in my belt. It was painful and half assed, but it would do for now. I peered around a corner and saw we were half way to the gate. Midoriya was pinned under a metal rail and Bakugou was struggling to stand after puking. All Might stalked over to the blond and I took the chance to help Midoriya out with my good arm. With a bit of struggle, we got him out, All Might gave him a lecture about his strength and where he should be applying himself. I was shocked that he did that but Midoriya and I were still determined to at least communicate.
"Onryo, your arm-"
"I'm fine. You run, I'll distract him, stick to the sides. Got it?" He nodded once and got ready. I took a deep breath and cracked my neck.
All Might was winding up to punch Bakugou, I dove and pulled it out of the way. Midoriya leaped forward and grabbed Bakugou, running off with him while I acted as a distraction.
'Dammit, I meant as two on one not one on one. Shit.'
"How noble of you to sacrifice yourself. Do you think that's what it means to be a hero? To have a martyr complex after playing victim for so long?" I sucked in a breath and didn't give him and answer, knowing he was just trying to rile me up. All Might reached and grabbed my broken arm and I made sure not to cry out in pain as he tossed me like a child's toy. I rolled on the landing to keep the moment and lessen the blow.
"Those sure are heavy, huh?" He groaned at the max volume. "Looks like you're holding back!" I screamed, the ground rumbled beneath him and blood dripped down from his ears.
He was in front of me before I could process what was happening, a swift punch was sent to my side, my back slamming into a building, sickening cracks echoing in my head.
"Your'e going the wrong way!" Bakugou yelled as he kept out of the debris.
"That supposed to be a sneak attack?" Bakugou sent a few explosions into his face before landing.
"Deku!" He hollered and I watched with hazy eyes as my green haired friend came out from behind All Might with a gauntlet, letting off a large explosion that was once used on him.
"Shoot now!"
"I'm sorry, All Might!" As he let off the explosion I yelled as loud as I could, full force pointed at number one.
I used my little energy to get up and run between buildings, following their escape tactic. I caught enough of a gap to run in the street so I wouldn't have any blind spots.
"Don't look back." I coughed, my throat hoarse from using my quirk so much. "You guys make it to the gate, I'm too far behind. Think I broke a rib. My hearings out after the sneak attack. I'll distract him as much as I can. Just keep fucking running, got it? He's getting up. Keep the gap." I coughed more, maintaining a steady jog.
All Might flew up behind me and I screamed again.
"Still trying to fight me, Young Tsukare? I must admit, you have guts. Too bad you didn't have them when you were twelve." I glared at him as he spoke, the two of us circling around each other. "Tsukauchi called it in and I was almost roped in to work on that man hunt, your dads were worried sick. Present Mic and Eraserhead." I faked a right hook and threw a left, just as I anticipated, he caught it. I ground my teeth together from the pain but still managed to kick him as hard as I could with my right leg. I watched as he coughed up blood.
"A weakness?" He took a rushed breath and threw me forward, my body flying far and hitting Midoriya. The both of us groaning at the harsh landing on the blacktop. All Might caught up in a blink of an eye, smashing Bakugou's other gauntlet and hitting Midoriya just as he stood up.
"Alright heroes, it's time for you both to die!" He bellowed out, kneeing Bakugou in the chin, slamming him through a building. Midoriya called out for him and went to get him only to be pulled back by his idol.
"That's my line!" Bakugou called out just as I managed to stand again. Both boys were slammed down and knocked on top of me. Bakugou was directly on top of me, keeping his weight off with his forearms but All Mights foot was on his back, the pro hero lifting up Midoriya by his wrist until Bakugou was suddenly smushed on top of me. My ears rung again, nothing he was saying translating. The green haired boy was thrown a fair amount away from us.
"You're helpless. This is over." My ears started working again at those words. Bakugou turned his hand and aimed an explosion at full strength at All Might above us.
He was blown back by the force but I couldn't hear a thing, next thing I knew, Midoriya and I were flying through the air from Bakugou throwing us. All Might smashed into us mid flight, the two of us smashing into the bus. I couldn't hear anything but I was smart enough to keep running, dragging Midoriya with me as best as I could until he shook off my hand and booked it. I kept hobbling to the gate, the three of us making it through at the same time.
I sat on the ground, staring at the dirt like it was the most interesting thing in the world. My breathing came in short, pained heaves. Anger and hatred flowed through my veins, the pain being masked by the adrenaline. I still couldn't hear anything, and if I could it was too fuzzy to make out. I looked up at the sight of a familiar set of shoes, my Dad standing there, my vision was too blurry with tears of frustration to read his lips. He crouched down to my height so I could see him better.
Are you okay?
I'm fine.
Onryo.
Everyone knows now, he had no fucking right to say any of that.
I know. He screwed up his chance with Nedzu. How do you want to handle this?
I can't think right now.
Okay, let's get you to the old lady.
I took a few deep breaths and tried to stand, succeeding after my Dad helped me. I walked away from the battle ground and to where the rest of my class stood, hoping Chiyo would be there but instead I received multiple looks being sent my direction. I turned on my heel and left, heading to her office and thankfully I found her there. She placed a kiss on my forehead and left me with a glass of water, thankfully catching the hint that I didn't want company. Hitoshi came and brought me my phone, checking in on me as well.
I'm fine, Toshi.
No you're not.
Yes I am. It's not my first broken bone.
He gave me a look but dropped it for now.
Chiyo scooted him out and wrapped my arm and torso, my shirt now abandoned. With her permission, I went next door to the sensory room.
I grabbed the softest blanket there, sat in a bean bag and put on a movie with subtitles.
Eventually I fell asleep, only waking up to Bakugou kicking my bean bag.
Rude.
Can it.
How long have I been out?
Fuck if I know, I've been here for twenty minutes.
I checked my phone and saw that I got a forty minute nap in.
What do you want?
You still can't hear?
Nope.
Didn't mean to blast it, I had to get that dumbass off of me somehow. I was tired of laying on you. You're uncomfortable.
Sorry that my broken ribs were uncomfortable to lay on, I forgot they were supposed to be pleasant feeling.
I heard the teachers talking. He's in trouble for some of the shit he said to you and for going overboard.
Not surprised. Congrats on passing.
I don't need your pity.
It's not pity, I don't do that and you know it.
He rolled his eyes and walked off somewhere. I tried laying back down but couldn't get comfortable again with my ribs. So instead, I went to check my phone and saw quite a few messages.
Tsukababe's Pokémon
Rayquaza has been added to the chat.
From Boldore: Hey Midobro, hope it's okay that I added you without checking
From Venomoth: Tsukababes, are you okay?
From Espeon: He's sleeping right now.
From Pikachu: I went to go check on him but Aizawa wouldn't let me in, erased my quirk and everything
From Pikachu: Your dad is scary dude
From Espeon: I promise you he isn't as scary as he seems.
From Scraggy: Shinsou, Tsukare is okay though, right?
From Espeon: He will be, I know he's frustrated right now.
From Boldore: That was so unmanly of All Might
From Espeon: You could say that.
From Rayquaza: I'm kind of scared to ask about the group chat name
From Espeon: It's because Onryo named each of us after pokémon.
From Rayquaza: Oh right! I forgot about that! Isn't my name Rayquaza?
From Espeon: Yeah.
From Pikachu: I can see it
From Scraggy: Same
From Pikachu: I'm still worried that we haven't heard from him
From Espeon: I gave him his phone, he went to the sensory room and last I saw he was asleep. He had to get healed up so it only makes sense that he's going to be tired.
From Venomoth: I guess, but I also don't blame him for being mad after earlier. All Might did the same thing earlier in front of me
From Espeon: What? When?
From Rayquaza: Really?
From Boldore: Super unmanly
From Pikachu: What do you mean???
From Scraggy: Guys, we all want to know but spamming her with the same question won't make her answer it any faster
From Venomoth: Thank you
From Venomoth: I was talking to him before the match and we had a heart to heart, All Might popped in and asked if we were having a 'couples moment' before the exam
From Venomoth: Then he said that Tsukares dads asked for him
From Espeon: What did Onryo say?
From Venomoth: He went 'not dating not straight' and then asked him what he didn't grasp about the words private and protection
From Espeon: I'm not surprised unfortunately. Ass Might isn't the brightest sometimes. That's what landed him a demotion in the first place.
From Scraggy: ASS MIGHT???
From Pikachu: AMDNDKFJKSOCKFNF
From Pikachu: THAT IS GOLD RIGHT THERE
From Pikachu: COMEDY GOLD
From Rayquaza: He's not that bad :(
From Espeon: Izu, we're not starting an All Might debate in here.
From Rayquaza: Fine :(
From Boldore: You think All Mights gonna get in even more trouble now?
From Espeon: I'm not at liberty to answer that.
From Scraggy: So, yeah, yeah he's in big trouble
From Pikachu: It's been over half an hour now, I'm starting to get really worried
From Espeon: Is he always like this?
From Scraggy: Yeah pretty much
From Pikachu: Plus he's been acting different the last few days
From Boldore: I noticed too
From Venomoth: Same :(
From Scraggy: I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed our amigos mood change
From Scraggy: Shinsou? Midoriya? Do either of you know what's going on with him?
From Rayquaza: It's something Onryo should talk but only if he wants to
From Rayquaza: It's not really something for me to tell people about
From Espeon: I'm not at liberty to discuss anything.
From Scraggy: So yes, you both definitely know what's going on
From Espeon: Same thing that Izuku said. If he wants to talk about it then he can, but only if he wants to.
From Boldore: Super manly bro, respect
From Shinsou: Sure.
From Whismur: Hey, sorry I just woke up a little bit ago
From Whismur: I'm okay, just really sore, but I'll live, it's not my first broken bone
From Rayquaza: WHAT???
From Whismur: Izu, respectfully, hush
From Whismur: You've been breaking bones like it's a kids game because you don't know when to tone it down
From Whismur: And also respectfully, no Ass Might debates in here because you lost to me last time and I know if your mother heard about any of this she would pull your little broccoli head outta UA before you could even stutter out a sentence
From Rayquaza: Got it!
From Scraggy: I wanna ask what made you so sour but we all know the answer to that
From Pikachu: Are you okay??
From Pikachu: Yeah I'm fine
From Venomoth: I think that's the sassiest I've ever seen Tsukababes and I'm living for it
From Whismur: Thank you?
From Whismur: I think?
From Drowzee: Text me when you're awake please
To Drowzee: I just woke up a little while ago
From Drowzee: If you want to spend more time in the sensory room you can but if you'd like we can head home.
To Drowzee: I'm ready to head home
From Drowzee: Okay, meet us at the car kiddo
I pocketed my phone and went to the infirmary only to see Denki sitting outside on the bench. I blushed awkwardly and wrapped my arms around my stomach self consciously. His eyes roamed over my torso, a small red hue on his face.
"Hey." I waved, my throat still hurting from the strain. "Onryo.. you don't look fine. I mean, you do because I see why Kiri's jealous of your build but this isn't fine." I pulled out my phone and typed out what I wanted to say.
Sorry, throat still hurts and my hearing aids broke. But I'm fine, really. A few broken bones won't kill me.
"Ryo, you didn't just break a bone you broke a rib! I didn't think he would go that far in the exam." I shrugged and shifted my body weight.
I'm not that surprised. I'm more upset about the comments he made.
"I'm sorry he did that." I shrugged but made sure to keep a small smile on my face to convince him I was alright.
How are you holding up after your test?
He looked bummed and I felt guilty for bringing it up.
"No camp." He said with a small frown.
I'm sorry, Denks.
"It's not your fault!" I solemnly nodded, wishing I could do something to help. "Ah, sorry, I'll let you get to Recovery Girl now." I waved goodbye to him and rushed inside, quickly changed into the slacks and button up of my uniform and hurried out to the car.
Hey little listener, we already called the audiologist and set up an emergency appointment for tomorrow but it's going to be right after school. Dads gonna take you, okay?
Okay, can one of you make sure my alarm actually wakes me up?
Yep. We also have a meeting set up with Nedzu and All Might during lunch.
Joy.
How are your ears feeling?
Fine I guess. I think mostly my hearing aids got fried, the speaker probably blew out from the loud explosions. I still have some hearing but not a lot, I think I lost more of it.
Okay, it'll probably be a little while until we can get you new hearing aids. At least you'll be on summer break though.
Yeah.
I looked out the window for a moment until my phone buzzed.
From Boldore: Hey, you doing alright?
To Boldore: Yeah, I'm fine
From Boldore: Tsukare
From Boldore: I know you're not after earlier, I'm not expecting you to be because if I were in your shoes I wouldn't be either
From Boldore: Yknow I'm always here if you wanna talk, right?
To Boldore: I know and thank you, but I'm okay, really
To Boldore: Mostly I'm just tired after Chiyo using her quirk earlier
From Boldore: If you say so
I sighed to myself and watched the city buildings again, allowing myself to get lost in the view.
