uh... lots? i think i've written in upwards of 70 fandoms. mostly currently Harry Potter and Star Trek (Voyager & Lower Decks). Occasionally I'll toss in a Miraculous fic. I think maybe either: (for you) i would ruin myself (Harry Potter - J. K. Rowling) or: Death Date (Harry Potter - J. K. Rowling)  OR: like my parents never did (Harry Potter - J. K. Rowling)  but like i write a LOT of angst lol

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I've written so much fluff so I'm just going to plug relationship advice (Miraculous Ladybug) (written for @nemaliwrites actually haha) because I think it has enough stakes for the ending to count as truly happy instead of just. fluff all the way through. (though it is pretty fluffy)

8. Do you get hate on fics?

yeah. i wrote aged up characters once and got called disgusting like ok thanks you're the one who took the time to click on it and leave a comment. but ok. i also was told very rudely that sirius was ooc in a fic for not being fanon sirius. again: ok. read the books.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I do, pretty often, actually. I've written F/M, F/F, M/M, F/M/M. I'll be posting some F/F/M soonish too.

don't do this to me. I genuinely don't know. all-time?? Jill/Eustace and Polly/Digory have stood the test of time better than anything for any of my other fandoms tbh. But like favorite???? I can't pick. Some evergreen ships: Katniss/Peeta (THG), Remus/Lily (HP), Drarry (HP), Hyacinth/Gareth (Bridgerton).

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

i mean the entirety of the cat café universe is probably not being touched again. uh. beyond that? not one for being let down (Harry Potter - J. K. Rowling) - I should probably just put an epilogue on it and call it done a matter of diplomacy (Chronicles of Narnia - C. S. Lewis) - I really do like this one, but my brain is just not giving me many more ideas for it.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I did it before bc I was a pretentious ass and continue it in Ravenclaw AU for consistency's sake, but I probably wouldn't do it again, unless it was a language I spoke fluently (so French or German) and didn't want my POV character to understand, and even then... eh.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Harry Potter, officially, but I wrote out some Halloweentown fanfiction in 3rd grade and submitted it for an assignment, so does that count?

making me choose a favorite child. jk it's probably Lost Causes (Harry Potter - J. K. Rowling) or, in a completely different vein, the proof is in the pudding (literally. no one tested the pudding.) (Succession (TV 2018))

Here we go, in no particular order:

1. Kaleidotrope (podcast). I, too, will begin here, since it's been four years and I'm still not over it. As much as it pains me, I think I will pick Drew, but mostly because I resonate with him so goddamn much. One of the running themes of this list will be trauma.

2. Call Me Katie (web series). Bates, it's obviously Bates, it could never be anyone other than Bates. My disaster bi, the boy who helped me start to realize I'm queer, with his dumbass puns, his neediness, his obsession with vlogging and pizza... I could go on forever.

3. The Adventure Zone - Balance (podcast). Hoo boy. How do I... Magnus? Or Lup? I'm gonna go with Magnus, if only because he is the one who never fails to make me cry. Travis (and Griffin) does such beautiful things with this character and role plays BRILLIANTLY. well, they all do. gosh jeez this is hard

4. Lord of the Rings (books, movies). Never mind, this is super easy. Samwise Gamgee. Next fucking question.

5. Rusty Quill Gaming Podcast. AHHHHHGGGGDKEKXJDI Zolf or Sasha???? At this very moment Sasha. She just-- I just-- my stabbing girl. My damaged, stabbing girl.

6. Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus (book serieses). (These are the two in the verse I've read so far.) It feels like a cop out, but I think Percy. It was between him and Annabeth, and I absolutely love their dynamic, whether it's before or after dating. But Percy is so smart and capable in certain ways and so utterly stupid in others (I have a theory that both he and Annabeth take hits to their mental stats when they are within thirty feet of one another). He's loyal to a fault, he's obsessed with blue food, he fought the god of war at 12 and won, he dove into Tartarus rather than be separated from his girlfriend/best friend again, he even has ADHD. Truly the character of all time.

7. Avatar: The Last Airbender (TV show). Zuko. I love the whole gaang but his character is done so beautifully and complexly. Like that is how you do a redemption arc, people. From the very beginning. And you do not make it easy for this sixteen year old who has committed war crimes, no you don't.

8. The Hunger Games (book series). Peeta. I live that he is optimistic, kind, and principled, but not naive, oblivious, or weak. His flaws are the same as his strengths: he's self sacrificing, self effacing, loyal. Everyone rubs Katniss's nose in the fact that he's good except him. But also, he's not perfect, and there's a lot of complexity tied to the fact that everyone thinks he's better than Katniss in every way, but he's mostly just better at hiding the darker parts of him. I love that we see nothing but the darkest parts and he's able to come back.

9. Dames and Dragons/LegendLark - first campaign (podcast). Fran. Again, I adore everyone, including NPCs, but I have such a soft spot for her. Noel plays her so beautifully and isn't afraid to make her jarring, make her part of the inner conflict of the team. I love how she's grown, and I'm excited and scared to see how the show wraps up.

10. Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV show). This is tough, because some people's characterization varies so wildly sometimes, but... Giles. I'm going with my sexy dad who cares so fucking much about his adopted child(ren).

I had a lot of trouble with this list, because I've been in fandom since I knew what it was. I picked things that I still enjoy, and also things that I still enjoy talking about/analyzing. Because that's how I show love.

the next line is, "kind people have a way of working their way inside of me and rooting there." i think many (if not most) people have a soft spot for good, kind people, especially if they've been a recipient of that kindess. peeta's kindness saved katniss and her family from starving to death. if peeta was more aloof/neutral or outright cruel, it would be much easier for her to hate him and not have any qualms about beating (killing?) him in the arena.

feeling old AF because i don't understand fandom drama and why the youngins can't just like, let all the ships, be they canon ships or crack ships, just... be.

don't yuck my yum. don't send a random writer hate because you can't just click the back or X button and go on to the next fic you wanna read.

i'm legitimately so annoyed that some of the best fexi fics are being pulled off AO3 because some assholes just can't let people have nice smut fics in peace and instead feel the need to send anonymous fandom hate to people that don't owe them anything.

Why did you choose your URL: It’s a nickname I’ve had for years, it’s kinda my go-to username for stuff.

What inspired you to become a writer: I’ve always had an overactive imagination and was always living a whole separate life in my mind. Also, I hyperfixate on things as a way of escaping, writing helped me focus on whatever the latest hyperfixation was/is.

How long have you been writing: Since I was about 14 but didn’t post anything until I was about 17.

What do you do when you are not writing i.e. Job/Hobbies etc? I work for an imaging company (video security cameras for your home). I do sales, marketing, logistics, customer support, orders, web design, I do a bit of everything basically. Hobbies; binging movies/tv shows, reading, writing, walking.

How long have you been in the SPN Fandom? Since day 1. Was it 2005/2006? I missed a couple of episodes at the start of season 10 and didn’t catch up until last year.

Are you in any other fandoms and do you write for them? Marvel is my obsession and I write for Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes, Sam Wilson, Erik Stevens. I have a few fics for other Fandoms on my AO3, Wattpad, and FFNet. Chicago Fire/PD, The Fast & The Furious, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Teen Wolf, That 70s Show.

Do you do any writing outside of fanfiction? If so, tell us about it? Unfortunately, I don’t have any original ideas so no.

Favorite published author: No particular authors, I just like the stories I like. But if I had to name a few Dean Koontz, James Frey, Jobie Hughes, Suzanne Collins, Stephen King.

Have you ever read a book that made an impact on your life? Which one and why?: IT scared the sh*t out of me if that counts lol. Hunger Games had a big impact on me and my heart aches every time I think of Katniss. I had a very close friend at the time it was released and I was reading it. She was more like a sister to me and out of the blue she decided to cut me out of her life without explanation, so I felt like Katniss when she lost Prim. I also have a Mockingjay tattoo.

Favorite genre of fanfic (smut, angst, fluff, crack, rpf, etc): Angst, without a doubt, give me all the angst, followed by tooth rotting fluff.

Favorite piece of your own writing: Perfectly Broken but it’s a Marvel fic. So for SPN The Secrets We Keep mini series co-written with @slytherkins.

Most underrated fic you have written: (Not So) Temporary.

Story of yours that you’d most like to see turned into a movie/tv show: The Secrets We Keep as to me it feels like it could be canon.

What are you currently working on? I have a chaptered fic for Sam Winchester that is being beta’d but still needs an ending, and a few Marvel ones.

“Pond Diving” - All About The Writing

What/who has had the biggest influence on your writing? Music is my main inspiration

Best writing advice you've been given: Write what you would want to read.

Biggest obstacle you’ve faced in your writing: Writer's block and endings. I always seem to have the beginning and middle of my stories figured out but struggle with endings and wrapping things up.

What aspects of writing do you find difficult when you write fanfiction? Keeping the characters true to canon.

Is there anything you want to write but are afraid to (and why): I have a few dark ideas but I’ve never written a dark fic before. Also, smut, I’ve written it but I avoid it whenever I can. I just hate the “he did, she did” of it all. But there’s no other way to write it I guess.

What inspires/motivates you to write: My motivation seems to come when I’m busy at work and should be doing other things haha. I take my inspiration from whatever I can; music, movies, prompts etc.

How do you deal with self-doubt: I embrace it, let it consume me for a while, and then write and post anyway.

How do you deal with writer's block: Pray it goes away. Ask friends to help flush out some ideas, anything I can try I’m willing to try.

Do you plan/outline your story before you start: Not really, I tend to start with one idea/scene, I write that, and then the story kind of evolves around it. If I plan too much I end up getting stuck or writing myself into a corner I can’t get myself out of.

Do you have any weird writing habits: Even though I use music as inspiration I can only really write in total silence.

Have you ever received hateful comments on your fic and how do you deal with it? I’ve been lucky enough to only have ever received 1 hateful comment on a Dean fic about him not being in character. I ignored it and deleted the ask.

Conversely: what’s been some of your favorite feedback on your fanfic? Honestly, any feedback I get is amazing, from a comment and reblog to a simple like. Just knowing someone took time out of their day to read my ramblings is amazing.

If you could give one piece of advice to a new and/or struggling writer, what would it be? Write, hate it, love it, hate it some more, fall in love with it again, doubt it, whatever you feel about it just write it! It may have been done before but no one has done it like YOU!
