Gil Chae running towards Jang Hyun and calling him My Dear (this time we know it's THE REAL DEAL) is certainly one of the best scenes we could ever hoped for!!
The fact that this is a line that is not a subtitle translation error but actually makes perfect logical sense in context is all the justification I'll ever need to give when people ask me why I keep watching and loving Kdramas.
Time has always been the most valuable commodity one could never buy or get refund with. The clock ticks irreversibly which nobody could go against. Thus, movies and dramas about time manipulation serve as a dreamed utopia to temporarily deviate from reality, one of which is The Light in Your Eyes (2019). It’s not an underrated show by any means, but still a drama you shouldn’t miss out.

My dearest is going to the hall of fame of dramas. It's just so good.
Gil Chae and Jang Hyun are soulmates. Truly. They both are so strong and so silly even in these times. Gil Chae still dreaming about her dearest and sulking that it's not him when she woke up. MY DEAREST.
I can't talk about them anymore before I combust. Knowing that they survive at least till the penultimate episode is my solace because they're just so adorable together. All their little flirtations and teasings while surviving. It makes it more tragical actually. But it is just so good.
YESSSSSSS FINALLY!!! (not a fan of the reoccurring memory loss bit tho, would have preferred to see more lovey dovey moments shared between our OTP) BUT OH YESSSSSSS!! JANG HYUN IS ALIVE!!! *ugly cries*
I actually can’t believe Yeong and Uk are really serving us the marriage of convenience, 2nd chance, Grumpy/sunshine, dark/light, amnesia, Disney’s Tangled, T-Swifts’s Love Story, fake pregnancy, star-crossed lovers trope. Like, all the top tier romance tropes goes to them.
God damn, AOS nation, we really won with them, huh?
It could have been a memorable masterpiece that breakthroughs the common kdrama’s stereotypes. It could have been a drama to reminisce years from now given its magnificent cinematography and a Hyun Bin within. Instead, the drama managed to fail the expectations of its avid viewers and left everyone dumbfounded towards the stupid ambiguous conflict resolution. If you ask me the reason I wanted to…
