Do the Jedi know more than they’re letting on?
I’d like to talk about a theory I’ve been working on, regarding Jedi secrets.
Tumblr media
I’m sure you all remember Qui-Gon Jinn getting attacked by a clearly lightsaber trained assassin, identified to the audience by that point as Darth Maul.
Tumblr media
And presenting his (correct) theory to the Jedi High Council, upon returning to the temple on Coruscant.
Tumblr media
At first they dismiss it, because the Sith, as noted by Ki-Adi-Mundi, AKA Jedi Master Potato-Head, the Sith were supposedly wiped out during a war a thousand years earlier. Sadly, they are forced to conclude that Jinn’s theory was correct, after his death.
Tumblr media
Now here’s where things get sus. During the funeral, Yoda notes that there are always two Sith. Now at the time, this likely just meant that at their height, the Sith operated in master and apprentice pairs, same as the Jedi. But then, as the Sith were fleshed out in expanded materials, we learn that Yoda was referring to the Rule of Two.
Tumblr media
Darth Bane, the last surviving Sith, established the Rule of Two moving forward, in order to prevent the in-fighting that hampered the Sith’s efforts against the Jedi, as well as take advantage of it, with a focus on quality over quantity.
The Rule of Two states that there shall only ever be two Sith at a time. A master and a single apprentice, who will only become a master themselves when they’re able to kill their predecessor, and then take on an apprentice of their own.
Tumblr media
Admittedly, a few Sith Masters (most notably Palpatine/Darth Sidious) have bent this rule by training Sith Assassins, Acolytes, and Inquisitors to serve as manpower and as candidates for the next apprentice, but the Rule of Two has served as doctrine for the Sith for the last millennium.
Tumblr media
Now the problem here is that Bane was a survivor of the aforementioned war, and therefore established the Rule of Two after the point where the Jedi believe that the Sith were driven to extinction.
So, how the hell do they know about it?!
Tumblr media
To return to the council meeting, you’ll note that Jedi Master Potato-Head is the only one who outright dismisses the possibility. Mace Windu is skeptical, not of their survival, but of them returning (or becoming active again) without the Jedi noticing, while Yoda initially stays silent, before countering that the dark side might be easier to miss than Windu believes.
Tumblr media
My theory, this isn’t the first time the Jedi have encountered the Sith in the last thousand years. Even if we assume that the Rule of Two cycle was carried out two to three times a century, that’s still between twenty and thirty Sith masters, and who knows how many failed apprentices like Maul. What are the odds that none of them had a run in with the Jedi, in all that time, that didn’t leave a Jedi survivor? What are the odds that no masters tried to corrupt a Jedi into becoming their apprentice and failed, alerting the Jedi?
Tumblr media
Windu and Yoda are the Master of the Order and Grandmaster, respectively, which are basically the two highest positions it’s possible to reach in the Order. If anyone’s going to have access to the secrets that the Jedi Order has chosen to suppress, even from the other council members, it’s them, especially given Yoda’s long lifespan, he likely had a few firsthand experiences.
There’s been a greater examination of the Jedi’s failings and poor decisions in recent years, so their making an active effort to suppress knowledge of Sith survivors could be a prime example of a long standing example.

watching two dozen interviews of wes ball talk about how he made the maze runner movies is genuinely such a pleasure to watch. it's so so clear that he deeply loves the content of the maze runner books while still understanding that they're fucking insane and makes next to no sense. the vision he has for the movies are unparalleled, the way he slims down the books while still upping the character moments is so impressive!! he was able to capture the heart of the series while still making it really accessible to a general audience. it has a clear trilogy feel to it, which a lot of trilogies do NOT have. and the best part is the cast LOVES him, you can tell just by the way they describe and poke fun of wes that this project would NOT work without him. also the way the cast NEVER talks about dashner is so fucking good. they're like 'omg there's wes, the genius, doing a one man show haha so silly, ily wes' and then it hard cuts to someone being like 'james is on set a lot.'

Self Indulgent Dyvim Whitehart posting:
Dyvim is autistic! Shout out to my friend, @WickedLittleYumi for sharing her insight with me!
Wears his heart on his sleeve and, by nature, tends to take other people’s words at face value. Of course, given the type of world he grew up in, he knows he has to be very careful with who he trusts and shows kindness too. How else do you think he would come to trust and work with the Wizard so easily?
Dyvim confuses Hop for a type of measurement when discussing “How many Horned Limes are in a Hop?” in the Khonda Desert (which to be fair, I would be confused too)
Has a strong sense of justice, which apparently tends to be common among people on the spectrum.
Occasionally, others complain of how loud he is; volume control is something Autistic people can struggle with.
He occasionally misunderstands social queues or when is the right time to say certain things. Most notably, when he decides to outwardly say out loud to Zarozinia that he and the Wizard are her and Zaltanna’s allies in Fort Rachias in front of Umbra Legion soldiers. Of course, he’s worked very hard at trying to not do that over the years (he kinda has/had to in the environment he grew up in otherwise for…obvious reasons).
He may occasionally mutter his thoughts aloud without meaning to.
While before I headcanoned his aversion to meat and fish due to potential fear of eating his own kind, I think that he also has sensory issues related to those food groups, mostly smell (As seen in the siege of Fort Rachias and the Karamelle Prequest). As someone with my own sensory issues and trauma related to foods, it makes sense!
Dyvim’s special interest is in history, mostly with Khrysalis’s old times before the war and fall of Bastion. (I don’t think anyone else brings up the Old Times as much as he does.)
And uh yeah, if there’s anything I missed or anything you want to point out, let me know!

'chaconne' is a song that depicts the boy getting drunk and corrupted by his own dance.
hey guys!! enhypen is back and i’m totally in love with dark blood. both the album’s lyrics and music have fascinated me and it’s now my favorite album. i have a lot of thoughts, so i’m going to share my interpretation of chaconne, which is the most interesting to me so far. please listen to dark blood and show enhypen lots of love. 🤍
-
chaconne puts us in a scenario where the protagonist of the narrative is a “monster” who lives in a “shaded castle with no sun”. the situation is very depressing so i immediately visualize this monster living alone in the castle, but it seems like they’re talking to someone else and inviting them to dance because it appears to be a party. this monster has accepted that it is a monster and has also accepted that it lives among “dead flowers” (which can be interpreted as their life being miserable, but they seem to embrace and even enjoy it). the lyrics tell us that this monster likes darkness, so they start a party with 'chaconne' (classical music) playing in the background and begin to dance “drunk” with themselves.
what i find interesting is the mention of “a cracked mirror”, which can symbolize a distorted view of oneself. the monster may not be literally a monster, but it is depicted that way because it carries a lot of darkness within, although it could be just their perception. “match my moves whilst looking through the cracked mirror,” my theory is that this monster doesn’t actually have a dance partner and is dancing alone. the broken mirror, as i mentioned before, represents a false perception of reality. i think the monster is so “drunk” with arrogance that they are unable to see that they are truly alone and in misery. “as if I was drunk,” that “as if” makes me think again that everything is a lie.
i believe this song can be a representation of highly romanticized, arrogant, and pretentious depression. the monster is too arrogant to escape from that misery. dancing with classical music playing in the background while looking at yourself in the mirror and thinking you’re the worst person in the world seems like something a poet would do. i love how they have portrayed a depressed yet arrogant figure.
i’ll leave the lyrics below, credits to @ enhypenupdates on twitter. thanks for reading!!

Do you think the Aryan Invasion Theory is true? I watching Mahabharata (star plus) and they kept using Aryavarta which reminded me of the Aryan race that Hilter used and so I did a little research and obviously he had no idea what he was talking about but what I found on the theory was a bit unsettling. I always believed that Hinduism/Sanskrit/Vedas originated in India (Indus Valley) but this theory seems to have genetic research to support it and it set off my whole belief system and gave me an identity crisis for some reason
Well, I am not really big on this theory because it has zilch proof to it as far as I have seen, only theories.
A simplified take on the same is the Indian Express article on Rakhigarhi excavation.
Other than that, there was this lengthy India Today article on the same excavation that gave me a headache because it won’t go to the fucking point, but I suppose it is in favour of the theory? I don’t know man, it’s fucking long and I did not read it all, just understood that IVC people from 4500 were native and that apparently we have outsider DNA.
There is no proof of any migration other than those based on change in genetic make up, a more plausible theory of which I explain later.
The interesting thing is, that the said Aryan invasion Theory first pinned us to be central asians from 1500BC and now we are Iranian farmers. It completely ignores the fact that Indians have little genes in common with Europeans who we supposedly come from moreso with South Indians (and I mean much more, we have almost the same gene combination except a few), and seems as if the India today article, based on the same premise of “Aryans had this one gene (r1 to be more specific) common with Iranians that Indus people did not have” fails to realise that people from the northwest of Indian subcontinent can have common genes with the bordering land for other reasons aswell because no shit sherlock, people fuck💀
I mean, how else do you explain the much higher genetic connection to south indians?
Another factor they use for the theory is the simultaneous developement of modern day Hinduism and Zorastrianism, but that too can be chalked upto influence rather than migration, given that Hinduism is actually older by a little margin (oldest living religion) and for the theory to be true, the migration should have gone westward instead.
Heck, the influence thing can easily exclude the theory altogther, because Iran is close to what are now the areas of IVC, and them slowly influencing the culture during or after IVC when they became more civil, (in 4000BC) or us doing the same, or even intermixing of the two will make more sense than AIT.
The migration of these Aryans cannot be proven otherwise aswell because there lies no proof for same. Literally none. The archeologist in the India today article and few others uphold it yet are unable to prove it beyond circumstantial evidence that makes more sense when turned against the theory rather than its favour, like the Iranian thing I mentioned. It might also very well be a migration to eastwards in Hind from the western part, because the Vedas were written before the supposed “Vedic Aryan invaders” happened and they are clearly neither Monotheistic nor Tribal, and align more with the Indic religions, so I digress they came from Central Asia or Iran.
Plus, the Vedas were written by the "aryans" on banks of saraswati, and the saraswati dried up centuries before they "destroyed IVC and took over". Another interesting thing is that Saraswati flew through the IVC sooooo.... yeah, maybe it all can be summed up to people fucking🫠
The thing is, we are locals, this culture was very much developed here on this land. Vedas, Sanskrit, Sanatan, there is a reason you do not see traces of them elsewhere, and I am certain this theory is BS because of the little I have read, because it has nothing to prove for itself.
But other than that, this particular subject was never of my interest because of how lengthy it was, and I fucking sucked at history, so may I suggest asking others who do think of this topic as often. I only know @tiananmen-square-orgy to be my nerdy mutual on this topic, and if finnie cannot help you I'll try geting you connected to a friend who is not on tumblr yet can help becuase of his extensive knowledge.

Reborn rich theories:
1. I think that grandma is the true bad guy in the story. Her mentioning that she only took care of Yoon-ki for reputation sake could be major foreshadowing. Particularly, that she would do anything to protect HER reputation and the rights of her legitimate children +grandchildren. Do-Jun, aka the son of the Jin family’s illegitimate son, possibly becoming the heir to a multi-billion won company could result in her/family losing her status + influence in society.
I also think it would also bring major shame upon her on a personal level. More specifically, grandma not being a good enough wife, resulting in her husband seeking comfort else where + creating a family with this so called mistress. Second, her offspring will also be seen as second best and unworthy.
2. I think distance between grandpa and Yoon-Ki could be bc of three reasons. Firstly, grandpa originally wanted Yoon-ki to take over the business but he rejected the position in favour of his passion OR, grandpa accepted Yoon-ki decision but purposefully keeps his distance from out of fear that his family will hurt Yoon-ki for the company, OR, the family know that Yoon-Ki is the rightful heir and grandpa keeps his distance to protect Yoon-Ki.
With regards to Do-Jun … I think grandmas goal was to keep her friends close and her enemies closers. I also think that she saw her grandson as the only one worthy to be heir … and could not imagine that someone else could replace him - even Do-jun.
I’m only on episode 9 … so let’s see what happens lol.

Maybe we'll write the first notes that will become the beginning of a song someone will sing for us.
Inspire a set of hands to pick up an instrument for the first time and strum a melody.
Be the echos that linger on the tongue, that someone humms to stride forward.
Writing is a beautiful thing, I will gladly say I'll humm each verse you craft for a long time.
The idea that I'd have any lingering effect on anyone at all makes me feel immense joy <3 thank you so much, this was so beautifully written.
I hope so, I really hope some people would see my writing or read my encouragement for others and get inspired to write their own stories or craft their own art. It's like a chain because I myself was inspired by others to start writing! And other people in the future will be inspired by any of my readers who started/went back to writing because of me.
Even if they don't, it's alright. I'm honestly grateful that they made time to read what I wrote and hear what I have to say.
And I'm thankful for your existence. Your writing style is especially captivating, and you inspired so many things in my blog. <3

about Enhypen’s album comeback
-it’s not a theory but I just noticed the clear cover of border: day one dusk version
1. Two Worlds- B:DO i think this relates to their I-land days having two worlds (I-land/Ground) or them having two worlds where they begin to face their new world as an Idol.
you can also check their
intro: Walk The Line “even if the world that unfolds is not what we are given”
outro: Cross The Line “with our last step we danced across this line into a new world”
__________________________________
2. Crossroad- B: C to be in a crossroad is a point in life where you have to make a decision, and you can see they literally crossing/running in Fever MV
check
outro: Wormhole “multiple dimensions wait for us, there might be a world where day and night coexist.” crossing/going into that world
__________________________________
3. Doubt- D:D & D:A, Dilemma means a situation in which a difficult choice has to be made, so they are uncertain or in doubt, and it was answered with either YET or NO.
you can also check
interlude: question “so what is it i want? is this correct? what should i do? what choice do i make?”
__________________________________
4. Rain- M:D1 metaphor of rain means growth
ParadoXXX Invasion the line after “we back haha got me like yeah” is “when will you grow up uh uh uh uh?”
Future Perfect (Pass the MIC) Heeseung’s line in Verse 1 “I won't be a fool no more, I realize it now” that’s growth
Shout out, the song itself encourages self-expression to live life to the fullest.
outro: Foreshadow “foreshadow ahead of me, tomorrow I realized ahead of time I am no longer afraid even when the world test me” this is growth! There’s also “ushering in the approaching rainstorm and typhoon” literal RAIN word.
__________________________________
5. Moon- DARK BLOOD, if you noticed the album versions are New, Half and Full and those are phase of the moon.
__________________________________
6. Waken- we will found out soon, or maybe i’m just delusional that each clear cover is really connected with every album comeback.

Lee Joon Gi is replacing Song Joong Ki in Arthdal Chronicles. (The guy on the left, ignore the middle man xD)
I personally don't think Eunseom and Saya will have the same aloofness and innocence to them that SJK reflected. I heard that a lot of people are upset about the change of the cast and the other fans are bashing them for caring about the cast more than the show. Shallow and small minded people do not care or understand a difference in depth of character in fictional characters so I try to ignore these people, however, I find it necessary to explain to the simpler people who are diehard fans of AC that the problem isn't personal or a personal attack to the new replacements. The problem is that the original cast MADE these characters come to life. This is an original drama not based on a web novel or novel or anything so the characters are who the actors made them to be and the issue with the replacement is that, while all actors bring something special to the table, once a character is created a viewer expects consistency in their development and personality which is now impossible to provide. Get that straight. The people who have these mean shallow outburst toward people to are dissapointed have no right to attack them for how they feel and how they express their opinions because THEIR opinions are no longer about the show but only criticize other fans, and they have no right to do that. These people are idol-worshipping LJG and who cares what they do but in their eyes their idol is the best, this puts unrealistic expectations on their idol and HURTs them. LJG is just as good as SJK but not in the same way. They look different sure but their personalities are different and so are their approaches at building their characters.
Rant aside, I have a neat theory here about the Sarim, Neanthal and Igutus. We saw how Nunbyeol wasn't going well after severing her meridians. But how did the doc come up with this idea in the first place? Aren't Neanthals and Sarim completely different creatures?
Yes, they ARE. And the idea must have come from Igutus. Neanthal blood flows one way and Sarim flows another, but Igutus have purple blood, NOT because one parent had blue blood and the other had red blood, but because their bodies have BOTH Neanthal and Sarim meridians. This means that when they are old enough, probably after the scab falls off(it looked like Eunseom was growing a new scab at the end of the show??) They can choose to be Sarim or Neanthal and thats how the doc got his idea, which sadly doesn't work on a Neanthal or Sarim without consequences. Supporting this theory is the belief that Aramun was an Igutu and its also very likely that the Asa clan main bloodline also had Igutu blood which made their abilities to dream etc carry through the bloodline even though not all of them got it.
Just something to ponder while we await season2! As a fan of Arthdal Chronicles I will try the new show and I still have high expectations, and seeing as the cast is changing for s2, it may return to the original cast later if there is a 3rd season, who knows.

Urgrghrr thinkin....about Queen's double-mask again....
The dark, spherical one is the Moretta, but is also known as the 'Muta' because women who wore it could not speak, as they held the mask inbetween their teeth. A crucial part to the moretta is that it is a 'mask of seduction' - if the wearer wished to speak, they would have to voluntarily take it off to do so.
So one would associate this mask with silence - but Queen is very much the opposite. At least, when she is holding the other one in front of her face. She's loud, attacks you with laughter, and even butts into the conversation in the throne room to order the guards to eradicate our Pirate.
I also think it's interesting how her masquerade/'colombina' mask isn't the usual half-mask, but a full one. It's a nice veer from usual expectation.
