I will forever associate this one with one of my absolute favourite places - we heard it for the first time in the after movie of Tomorrowland, still grappling with post-Tomorrowland blues. It wasn't even a released song, but I remember listening the first few notes and immediately knowing it was by Lost Frequencies. 

Never have I been somewhere that was just so full of love. That sense of community and togetherness will always stick with me; just randomly sharing beers and stories with the people camping next to us, partying with a dude and his ex-wife, and dancing with strangers... I have so many photos taken with people we met on my phone to remind me that we shared something, if only for that moment.

I think that was when I first understood the true power of music, growing bonds... bringing together people from all over the world (as we do now in your corner of the internet - so thank you, thank you 🥺🤍). 

What made it all the more special was that this was right before the pandemic, and our plans to go again the following year were cancelled. When we go back one day, I hope it will feel like returning home. 

I KNEW we weren't going to get through today without Lost Frequencies. I will forever associate his music with you because you so generously shared your passion for it with me. 🖤

I love music for all the same reasons, and if I have created an environment like you described here then I am so very glad for it. I know I decimate everyone's dashes on Mondays, and that technically I run an RP blog so my focus should be writing. However, when I started the blog, I came into a community that seemed to be fractioning and I did the first thing that came naturally.

I don't think I was very successful in keeping everything together, but I think what has come out of it is very meaningful and important, and I am forever grateful for it. And for every one of you.

So an ode to where it all began: the first song on the playlist I made for the blog.

(I still think we will break Spotify whenever we have EDM day)
