michael raises a brow down at steve,  amusement and jest showing in those baby blues.  it’s true that the gang of kids steve hangs out with has begun showing an immense interest in michael.  maybe it’s because he just sits there in silence and lets them talk his ear off,  or he helps them get up to no good when steve says no.  dustin even called him cool,  something he’s never been called before.  michael has become extremely fond of them and grateful to have them in his life,  something that would have never happened if not for steve.  “sorry.  you’ll always be their favorite,  though.”  his favorite too,  but that goes unsaid.
