Kiwi Jasper

Kiwi Jasper, also known as sesame jasper, isn’t actually jasper at all. It is actually a mixture of Quartz, Amazonite and a Pegmatite with Tourmaline. Now why is it called Kiwi Jasper even though it isn’t a jasper? “Jasper” is derived from the Latin’ iaspidem’ and denotes a spotted or speckled stone. Just by looking at the stone you can tell it truly does live up to its name.

Kiwi Jasper is a very new discovery, it was only found in New Zealand in 2014. It is believed to help with things like overcoming addiction and compulsion, overcoming stressful times and thought to be good for non general aches and pains. Some people have even suggested that it helps balance out the mineral content in your body.

So far Kiwi Jasper has only been found in New Zealand, if you do pick up Kiwi Jasper somewhere that says its from anywhere other than New Zealand make sure you do some research! It might be lab made, a fake or who knows.. The only natural known place to find this stone is New Zealand.

I personally don’t know an overly lot about this stone considering it is so newly discovered and have only heard of it a few months ago. As I learn more about this stone I will be sure to update this post!

Peach Quartz  A Jasper and Rose Quartz fusion. She isn’t very stable, but can stay together long enough to get a physical task done aka Jasper will do anything to feel powerful & protect her diamond.

So fun fact about the council: I have about half the special editions. Or have had half (I sold one and my graduation one was used in trade). And you’d think that’d mean I liked them, or at least was trying to collect them.

And you would be incorrect.

Just about all of them were either gifted to me or were acquired by chance. I don’t actually like most of them all that much. So today I’ll be showing you guys the fucked up little guys that are my actual favorites.

Starting off strong we have Coriander (he/him). Cori’s fur texture is fucking awful. And you’ll notice he doesn’t even have a name necklace rn. If you look closely, you’ll also notice that his faceplate doesn’t sit right. Half of it juts out, causing one of his eyes to look bigger. At the moment he’s my favorite and is sitting next to me as I’m typing this.

Next we have Faygo (she/they)! I received her as a Christmas gift two years ago and actually hated ladybugs at the time. She very rapidly grew on me and has stayed in my top three since I got them. Fay’s battery compartment door is warped, which means I can’t get her to work unless I hold a very specific part of it shut at a very specific angle. So basically she works in theory but not in practice.

Last but certainly not least we have giraffe furbies in general. Lotion, Fortune, Pantene, Ginger, Bottle, and Basket are all giraffe furbies that have been in my possession. Pantene is not depicted here and belongs to my friend Jasper. Ginger or “Gin” is no longer with me and will shortly belong to my friend Sean.

Lotion, Fortune, Bottle, and Basket are all still with me. They all use he/him pronouns and are my absolute pride and joy. Idk if it’s just because Lotion was my first council member, but giraffe furbies are my favorite ever and I genuinely love them more than all my dreamies. I don’t know why. But I would sooner part with my racer Furby than a bunch of crusty giraffes that don’t work.

So yeah, I very randomly become way too attached to super fucked up or commonly found furbies. Don’t know why since I literally own most of my dreamies. Like I have a flamingo and kiwi, but no, the giraffes are my favs. What the fuck is wrong with me.

OK here is the order I /think/ these should be..

I went back through all the days and re-identified the stones that came out on each day. Some are different from what I originally identified them. I am not 100% certain on every choice, as some ended up being placed there by process of elimination. Moss Agate and Fluorite could possibly be swapped with each other. I almost put down Carnelian and Cherry Quartz the other way round too.

If you would put them in a different order which ones would you swap?

I broke a personal record yesterday, I managed to identify 11 different, albeit infinitesimal, raw stones which all of them contained [a] Diamond! Separately, all of them are much less than one carat, but adding them all up would probably end up with a one (if lucky: a few) carat worth of Diamond. I also found one Elbaite which is (one of) the most expensive gemstone(s) in the world, fetching up to $15.000 for one (1) carat.

They all come from the same quarry and crust, which is as deep as that place allowed me to dig. Along with the Diamonds I also found Emerald (en masse!), Blue Apetite (loads), Blue Aventurine (rather many), Kiwi Stone (rather many), Tree Agate (rather many), Amazonite (x3), Snowflake Obsidian (x5), Aquamarine (x9), Ruby (x15), Melted Aluminum (x6 or more), Sapphire (x4), Dalmatian Stone (x2), K2 Jasper (x1), Zebra Marble (x1), Labradorite (x4), Dendritic Agate (x1), Amethyst (x7), Celestine (x1), Moldavite (x3), Snakeskin Agate (x1), Tentalite (x1), Cuprite (x1), Biotite (x1), Larvikite (x3), Lapis Lazuli (x1), Aventurine (x2), Aragonite (x1), Crackle Quartz (x2), Autunite (x1), Opal (x1), Green Chalcedony (x1), and Garnet in Limestone (x1).

I found more also, but those are the ones I thought is worthy of mentioning, plus there are so many stones (from the same quarry) lying here in which I havenʼt yet got around to identify. 💫

Hello, long time regem follower here, I was wondering: Since the non-human characters change their appearances when they go to the overworld, do they also use nicknames or can they just say "Hi, I'm Zircon" and everyone else is cool with it? If they use nicknames, what are they?

it depends on the character! both in terms of their personality (would they care enough to come up with a fake name to hide their real identity?) and whether their real name could pass as a human name

i think zircon still goes by zircon. it feels like itd be a name a cool faux-punk artsy chick would pick for herself, and thats the vibe she wants, she WANTS men to think she can be their manic pixie dream girl so she can pick them off easier

sunstone, she cant exactly go by sunstone if she wants to make it big online and not be laughed off as a run-of-the-mill weirdo, so she instead goes by sunny. moonstone doesnt have a "name"; he tells every girl he pursues a different name, and when sunny mentions her manager she only calls him "luna"

amber is already a human name so theyd have no problems there. aquamarine REALLY wouldnt care but i think amber and maybe cinnabar would get worried about it, so maybe they call her "marina", which she thinks is dumb. cinnabar could probably get away with being called "cinna", or maybe cindy

jade, again is already a name

sapphire i think would go by ms sapphire, with it being her surname. she would not answer when asked for her given name

bloodstone is tricky, bc she doesnt really... interact often with any humans other than isaac, but isaac would still need a name to tell people about his girlfriend, and bloodstone isnt exactly a rock you can easily get a name out of. im thinking something super on-the-nose goth, preferably vampiric sounding bc. yknow. bloodstone and isaac are vampire themed. id want it to be very thematically sound even if it wouldnt be used as much as some of the others, bc shes a very theatrical character! maybe "ambrosia" bc of her goals of immortality. itd also be really funny to just call her shiela though, since she is "australian"

alexandrite can just go by alex / alexandra, except i think the russian version of it is aleksandra? and shes "russian", so maybe itd be cute to have her spell it aleksandra

kyanite wouldnt have to worry about a name bc she already looks fucking weird enough on her own, same with corvid. dragons breath opal is already mostly just called "opal" anyway

rhodizite, they have a stage name, they are rocky rhod. serpentine and obsidian also probably have stage names but i dont know yet. maybe they can also be ice cream flavours or other desserts that reference their actual rocks

ruby and jasper are already human names. pyrite doesnt even bother with a human form (he is never shown wit it ever, he will remain the shlubby little critter forever) so he also wouldnt bother with a name, except for how the humans who discuss the rumours of him in hushed rumours know him only as "fool's gold"

the tourmalines would still just call themselves the names the nicknames they use back home: cherry banana and kiwi. maybe banana goes only by "nana"

and finally, 2ircon goes by bunny, which is the nickname isaac gave her bc he felt bad calling her numbers
