Oh, this still eats even to this day. 🤭
“The war wages on hybrid Klaus Mikealson and his wife, vampire Caroline Mikealson.”
This is canon, brah. This is how I always pictured them, a badass couple doing messed up shit together. Even though they had their humanities off(I think?) they still had their love for each other.

Saw someone say they were angry at Caroline for not fighting for Klaus during TVD.... DUDE SHE OBVIOUSLY WASNT GONNA FIGHT FOR HIM. HE was the one courting HER. And during that courtship he tried to kill her twice, killed her boyfriend's mom and had previously killed her best friend and her aunt. SHE WOULD'VE BEEN A FOOL TO NOT BE SCARED OF HIM. like wtf? Caroline isn't stupid. She was and I quote "intrigued" but before she could ever give him a chance he had to show actual GROWTH and earn her respect because she knew her value (obviously she lost sight of it when she started dating stefan)
One of the things that makes Klaroline so good is the fact that she never pretended he was something he wasn't. She always called him out and never compromised her morals for him. She stayed true to who she was and he fell for her anyway and he changed on his own accord. That's why they work. Because she knows who he is and when he was a villain she treated him as such and expected him to act as such and when he wanted to be" friends" with her (after 4x14 when he realized he would never be able to kill her or harm her again) she explained what she expected of him and she wasn't gonna settle for less. AND SHE DIDN'T! She wasn't swayed by pretty things or pretty words. SHE WAS SWAYED BY ACTIONS

Reasons I Hate Hayley
So people have been about some reasons to hate Hayley, so I made this:
Attitude. She kept going around acting like she as better than the Mikelsons - she wasn't - she wasn't better physically, financially, or intellectually. And the whole werewolves are "noble" and "strong" creatures, is complete BS.
they literally trigger there curse by killing someone - so their standing on sand in that moral ground
without witch intervention - their only deadly to vampires on full moons.
Killing. Her hands are just as bloody as anyone elses on the show, and she acts like she's completely innocent. Ex. Davina asked her to kill ONE witch, and Hayley decided she wanted to create another expression triangle.
Mother. Everyone treats her as if she was this standard for motherhood, when
she tried to kill her kid
She put the kid in danger multiple times during her pregnancy running into danger like an idiot - like why don't you drink some bear and smoke some pot on top of that - it would honestly do less damage than running around like an idiot.
I've done the math of when Caroline opens the school and Hayley sends Hope to boarding school and she literally did it as SOON as it opened! Like yeah, I'm going to send my kid who likely has a mountain of trauma alone over state lines.
Characters - They literally made other characters appear weak just so she could appear "badass".
Mikael, no, she can't take on the 1000 year old vampire that made the rest of the originals go running.
No, her enemies - hundred of years old vampire don't respect her - she ain't all that.
And NO, she's not someone Klaus fears, the only way she scares is him is his frightening sudden urge to get checked for supernatural STDs!
"Female empowerment" - She was supposed to be this strong female character who took charge, but she had no strong female qualities.
She was physically weak
relied on the mikaelsons for power, wealth, and housing
demanding and spoiled
relied on the men around her for her position: Klaus, Elijah, even Jackson
Quick Note: Caroline > Hayley On the other hand we have Caroline. Miss Mystic Falls, 4.0 GPA, Headed tons of committees and was a strong leader. Had tremendous growth and was relatable as a character.
Hayley was a pancake flat character. She had no growth, stayed the same throughout the show, it was always: Me, myself, and I with her, and on occasion "Elijah, Klaus, Jackson" look at me (that's why I said pancake - she had a slight curve in her character with which man she was screaming at for the week).
Queen - she called herself a werewolf queen which I hated. Werewolfs don't/shouldn't have queens! There werewolves, it means wild, a force of nature, pack animal. It should have been Alpha, not Queen! So her going around calling herself Queen just triggered me.
Overall, Hayley was an annoying, childish character, that brought nothing to the plot yet the writers insisted on shoving her down our throats. She was a poorly executed Mary Sue, unnecessary, cringy, and just painful to watch on screen. I have read Harry Potter and would honestly rather be in detention with Umbridge than in a room with Hayley.
Reasons I Do Not Hate Hayley: Klaroline. She was never a threat to the ship, she was a druken one night stand, nothing more. Like she may have been the reason Klaus went to New Orleans - because she got knocked up, but she was never a threat to the ship herself.
Well, whoever made it to the end, thanks for reading. Honestly, this rant was more for me, I've been seeing way to much Hayley content on my youtube page my tumblr for some reasons and I really needed to went.
KLAROLINE FOR LIFE, BECAUSE I WILL GO DOWN WITH THIS SHIP!!!

TVD S5 EP11&12 (mostly a rant about Tyler and Caroline)
Tumblr media
I'm not even gonna talk about the first 10 episodes, Silas was annoying AF I'm glad he's dead. Also, Katherine as a human was hilarious.
Tyler deserved better. I said it. I never really understood the Tyler hate. Like, yeah he was a douche in S1 but if we're judging him by his S1 personality shouldn't we all hate Caroline by that logic? Cause she was kind of a bitch in S1.
Caroline sleeping with Klaus...yeah no I don't even know what to say. I knew it was coming, just didn't know when. It was dumb and just didn't really make any sense to me. I was never really on board with them, to begin with.
Why did Klaus come back to MF in the first place? To see Katherine dying? Anyways... It always felt to me like Klaus was being really pushy and trying to flirt with Care when she was obviously not into it (she seemed pretty content and happy with Tyler)
Like sir, you have a whole ass baby on the way (idk what happened with that storyline cause the Mikaelsons went to New Orleans and I'm not watching TO rn) and you're here in MF trying to hook up with a girl who repeatedly told you she wasn't interested. Dare i say, you look kind of pathetic.
Tyler my boy, you deserve better, you really do. And then, when he hears Care talking to a Katherine-possessed Elena about Klaus he is obviously heartbroken.
Look, Care, I like you, I really do, but I can't defend you on this one. It's preposterous to me that she's the one acting all shocked when Tyler gets upset. Like, you slept with the man who ruined his life, who killed your best friend's aunt (RIP Jenna you will always be missed), and oh, killed his mother! (RIP Carol you were innocent)
Also, this might just be me, but did everyone forget that Klaus was gonna kill Care in the sacrifice ritual thing back in S2? Maybe I'm just really bad at letting things go but I would never get over that? Like I would never want to be friends let alone anything more with a person who brought so much suffering to me and my friends.
You almost died because of him, twice! Damn it Caroline, where are your morals!?
Call it a moment of weakness I guess, but still, it was hella stupid. And then Stefan defends Caroline? Like no don't defend her she did a stupid thing!
Tyler is my guy and I like him. I understand not liking his character but you cannot seriously say that he was in the wrong in this situation. He had every right to be upset. And Caroline was stupid for what she did. Maybe it's because Klaus said "You'll never see me again" so she thought "fuck it, I might as well since he'll be gone for good" but still dumb af
The show has been off the rails since S4 it can only be worse from here lol

klaroline.. yes or no???
this is SUCH a late response omg but… yes but no.
i am not against klaroline, i think if the originals didn’t exist klaroline could’ve been an interesting dynamic and possible ship. i don’t understand everyone who’s like “but klaus (insert terrible thing)” but then go to ship delena as if the same rule doesn’t apply there??
however, the originals was made and klamille just knocked it out of the park there. they had such a special relationship that just wasn’t developed with klaroline, and the impact cami’s death had on klaus was heartbreaking to watch but such a pivotal time for his character. i believe camille was the love of klaus’s life that he just could not have, and that their relationship fell victim to bad timing (and lucien castle).
so, yes but no. in some alternate universe where the originals did not exist and klaus stayed on tvd for the rest of its run and we saw what became of the klaroline tension established in tvd, i’d be more open to klaroline.
but klamille will forever be unmatched and my endgame 🤍
(also i’d definitely like to write a more in depth analysis of klaroline vs. klamille once my studies are over and i can watch clips and do some deep diving. watch out for that @suki1vr !!)

Hey! I absolutely love your stories, and right now I'm super excited to see how TBBW will continue ☺️. I'm really curious how you came up/what inspired you to write everything about the werewolf lore and Klaus' dad being alive and quite amazing if I say so myself 🥰.
Thanks so much! And oh boy, is this a question. So, what did inspire me to write the werewolf lore and Klaus' father into the story?
Well.
That comes down to the very fundamental reason why anyone chooses to write fanfiction. I watched TVD up to s5, then I watched TO up to s3 and you know what I said to myself?
That's fucking stupid.
And then I re-wrote canon my own way out of a mix of rage and spite. Here's how:
First off - the werewolves in the tvd universe are so under-developed and shallow characterisations it wants to make me SCREAM. Like, at least for vampires, we have sire bonds and the intimacy of blood sharing, the implications that powerful vampires controlling big cities, little coffee shops with UV protected windows, the differences between daywalkers and nightwalkers - an idea of an actual SOCIETY out there. For werewolves? There's none of that. The ability to turn into a wolf on a full moon is perceived as a 'curse' by vampires and witches alike, their bite kills vampires and they've been hunted to almost extinction, and that's it. That's all we're given. There's some development in TO to do with packs and how they work, but again, very shallow writing. And again, TO, so it was centred around Hayley's werewolf journey not fucking, oh, I don't know maybe KLAUS MIKAELSON WHO IS PART WEREWOLF, THE ORIGINAL HYBRID???? So yeah. Not sure it even counts at this point.
[deeply inhales]
Sorry, it all makes me very angry thinking about it, as you can certainly tell. See, all that I can probably forgive because it is called The Vampire Diaries and not The Werewolf Diaries - makes sense they didn't spend as much time fleshing out werewolf culture and customs, the details of the species. But then. THEN they had to go bringing Klaus' biological father back from the dead - a man he never knew but probably longed to have known after his death, that little boy inside who always wanted a real father not an abusive shitbag - and then. They. Fucking. Killed him off.
Not only that but KLAUS killed him off.
Add the fact Klaroline was meant to be endgame, ENDGAME I SAY, thus, I was fuelled by such fury and spite I had to rewrite the entirety of tvd's s3-s4 because that, my friends, was the last straw and I could not live in a world where something SO stupid was left unchallenged.
So. It all began with Lycaon, really.
In TO, Ansel is the name of Klaus' father. However, I always thought it would be more interesting if his father looked more like Klaus (Ansel's actor, Lloyd Owen, doesn't look much different from Mikael, brown hair, chiselled chin, etc), for various reasons, mainly being it would be amazing to explore Klaus growing up thinking he looked like the sister that died before he was born, not knowing what his true father looked like and having no other reference since he didn't share Mikael's features. It's like, another layer of detail to him coming to terms with being a bastard. So, if I did bring in Klaus' father in with the name Ansel, readers would be forever associating the character with that physical appearance, which I didn't want. Knowing that, I decided to completely rewrite the entire character from scratch.
'Lycaon' is actually of greek origin - I did look at norse names, but none of them spoke to me, not like this one did. Lycaon just rolls of the tongue so beautifully, and it means 'king of wolves', which was rather fitting I thought. Makes Klaus a little lost prince almost, a reference to a favourite klaroline fic of mine, which expands beautifully on the werewolf lore: The Lost Prince and The Eternal Queen. The people of Scandinavia were travellers and conquerers too, famous for their navy, and with the Greek's influence in Europe, I didn't think it was too outlandish for a greek name to pop up. Like it's improbable, but lets suspend our disbelief a little on that front.
I can't quite remember what inspired Lycaon as a whole (it's been like, 3 years lol). I know I wrote that first chapter of The Little Wolf more as a way to get an idea out of my head. It wasn't about the klaroline then or any of tbbw's plot - even the rest of the little wolf's plot - which I came up with much later. It was just that scene, little Niklaus running through the woods and finding a wolf within them that felt oddly like home.
(And somehow, that one scene bloomed into what's probably going to become a 800k megafic, but isn't that how it always is, with writing?)
Going onto the deeper details of the werewolf lore... that's a mash up of everything I love about werewolves, honestly. There's inspiration drawn from other shows, of course, like Teen Wolf for example and even Twilight much to my shame (those books/movies are questionable okay but the werewolves looked BADASS) as well as just general myth and legend. There was some things I knew I didn't want to do, like make the wolf mates fated by destiny, something i've seen a lot in kc fics. That removes the romance for me, so in tbbw a wolf mate isn't a soulmate by supernatural force... they're a soulmate of choice. A mate is the wolf's first love, and the man's last - both sides have to fall in love, as one (which I think is much more poetic, no?). Which is why you have examples of Lycaon falling in love with Esther, while his wolf didn't - she wasn't his mate. I've also decided I'm going to take out the beta/omega werewolf dynamics in the edit I'm doing at the minute - originally I tried combining the fantasy werewolf pack dynamics (alpha, beta, omega) with real life wolf dynamics (wolf packs are actually families, an alpha pair being the parents of the other wolves). This is because the found family trope has me at the throat and the idea of werewolf packs being more like families? It's just such a romantic idea and I love it. So I'm changing that.
I'm always changing the lore, really. Always adding new things in. Currently, I'm rewriting the little wolf and adding some new scenes in, expanding on an idea I've had for a while and implimented elsewhere - that lycanthropy isn't a curse. It's like a....defence mechanism. It's not triggered because you killed someone - that's just a coincidence that can happen, vampire propaganda (cough, cough - Milkael's propaganda) that has spiralled out of proportion. Werewolves believe it too, because most packs and bloodlines have been decimated so catastrophically, many traditions and inherent knowledge has been lost. It's more like a trauma response? So if someone with the werewolf gene goes through something that ignites the fight or flight instinct, the wolf wakes and choosing fight. Because of course - this is werewolves we're talking about. It's more born of the idea that werewolves evolved (which I think is 100% more badass, like imagine prehistoric dire wolf werewolves people COME ON) rather than were a result of spell from some witch forgotten long ago.
But back centuries ago, before Mikael's blood feud, before the purge of werewolves, werewolf packs had this ritual? A rite of passage almost, a coming of age, that does the same thing - wakes the wolf. It's just been lost through the generations of death, destruction and fear. Or that's my headcanon of it, and you'll get a glimpse of the ritual in the little wolf, something that's happening in the background of a scene to expand on the lore.
There's so MUCH more to say about the werewolf lore. Maybe I'll reblog this and share more at a later time but this is long as it is. The werewolf lore is definitely a lot. Ah, the sacrifices I make for world building.

I got a lot of edits on my fyp prior to watching any TVDU show so I knew a solid amount of the plot lines prior to watching either show, which also means I knew what characters were normalized to be hated/loved. I started these shows and expected to absolutely despise Matt, Elena, Tyler, and Cami. None of them are my favorite, but I never understood the hate for any of them whatsoever.
The Matt hate just makes no sense, I’m convinced people just want to “fit in” and hate the person that everyone else hates. You pretty much explained everything I would say for him so I’ll hold back a bit here. And yeah, I’m tired of people pretending he’s not attractive cause there is not a single actor on this show that doesn’t look good.
Everyone calls Elena a crybaby, but if they had lost the amount of people that she had before they’re even 20 years old, I guarantee you they’d be crying even more than she did. And calling her selfish? She very rarely ever put herself over anyone. There’s also the argument that she ‘played Stefan’ which in my opinion is just straight out wrong, it’s not like she was pretending to be in love with him while she was with him, but if you hate her for that, you’d have to hate like half the show. I swear everyone dated everyone within that friend group, why do people only hate on her for it? Also this has nothing to do with my point, but why does everyone hate on her NH era? I liked it, it gave her character something different.
Everyone hates on Tyler for one of two reasons. One being that he tried to SA Vicki in season 1, which you would think is a valid excuse, but then they go onto say Klaus, Damon, and/or Katherine is their favorite character (and I’m saying this as my Damon and Klaus are both in my top 5 TVDU characters). The second reason would be something along the lines of Tyler wanting to get revenge on Klaus. I do think he went too far with trying to kill Hayley/hope, but aside from that, he had every right to get revenge on Klaus. He killed his mom and practically ruined his life, including messing with his relationship with Caroline. I actually love Forewood, but I don’t think they could’ve been endgame after that. So I don’t get why people hate on him for leaving Caroline, because I feel like continuing to lead her on when his head is nowhere near the right space would’ve been worse.
Then there’s cami, which is honestly the most confusing one out of all to me. I completely understand her not being your favorite, especially if you’re into more of the anti heroes or villains (like me), but I do not understand why people just absolutely despise her. She plays a major part in the originals, especially early on, as she is the only person Klaus seems to care about listening to whatsoever. He isn’t paying Hayley any sort of attention, and he lied to/betrayed Elijah left and right in season 1. She’s also never betrayed anyone that she considers to be friends or family. The biggest reason she’s hated on is because she ‘stole Klaus from Caroline.” 1. I genuinely just do not get what people see in klaroline. I don’t absolutely despise them, but I do not like them either. Klaus hurt her multiple times (which, by the way, why do people act like Klaus is a hero for saving Caroline from a bite he caused…?) and Caroline was manipulating him every chance she got. I totally understand the whole ‘enemies to lovers’ trope, considering I like delena, but I just do not get it here. 2. How did anyone see that Klaus (and the originals) was getting his own show, and still expect klaroline to work out? 95% of interactions they had post TO being made was complete fan service. It would’ve been WAY too difficult to do a long distance thing with two different shows, especially when neither of them were (im so gonna get hated for this) never in love with each other, they weren’t even in a relationship. Oh and back to the forewood thing real quick, Tyler had every right to be pissed at Caroline for sleeping with Klaus.
Well that turned into a klaroline bashing towards the end. For the record my top 5 characters are Damon, Elijah, kol, hayley, and Klaus in that order and there really aren’t any ships (canonical ships anyway) that I absolutely hate so.
Side note, thank you for being able to hold characters accountable. I like characters as villains/anti heroes because they are a villain/anti hero, I will never understand why people try to defend their favorite character and make them seem like a hero. Like the character for their character, don’t make them into something completely different. If you wanna debate anything further (or something entirely different) let me know, I enjoy debating about shows, I just typically can’t find anyone in this fandom (or any fandom for that matter) that is able to have an actual debate without someone starting to scream over an opinion lmao.
There really isn’t a question here I just kinda felt like ranting after reading your post about Matt Donovan so here it is. Reply to this as you please!
I was fortunate enough to watch the shows before I got into the fandom so I didn't get spoilers (at least for TVD), but more importantly, I didn't have anyone to influence me on which characters to like or not. Which was why I was so surprised when I joined the fandom and saw so much hatred. But I do think some people just "bandwagon" hate characters. Especially Matt. Because anytime I ask people why, they can't even truly express why they *hate* him.
Elena was never my favorite character but I loved early seasons of Elena. I even enjoyed her NH era. I didn't like her sire bond era much. But she definitely gets too much hate. Even at times when I think she can be selfish, she's still miles better than the men the fandom loves.
I've actually posted about Tyler before, you can find that here. Sure, he's done questionable/problematic things, but who hasn't? The hate he gets is ridiculous, especially because it always comes from Damon or Klaus stans. I actually like Caroline and adored Forewood, but I hated how she handled the breakdown of their relationship. I blame the writers. They continuously tanked Caroline's character in order to get views with klaroline.
I love Cami and she is the one character that I truly believe has done no wrong. Cami was truly a turning point for Klaus. Cami was not only an important person for Klaus but for the entire Mikaelson family and the entirety of New Orleans. I also wrote about that recently. But yes, 100% of the hate she gets is because of Klaroline stans. I used to be indifferent to Klaroline. Like I don't like them because they are toxic and I would never ship them, and there are plenty of ships I feel this way about, but the fandom has made me actively dislike them. Klaroline had no possible way of working out and was just lust, but people build them up in their head and then attacked and harassed a real life person because of their delusions.
I'm glad you found my post and enjoyed it! I love finding people that want to engage and have actual discussions about the fandom. Too many people get so set in their views and can't discuss the characters without getting angry. I completely agree. We can all love the characters but 99% of the characters in this show are problematic to say the least. We can love them and still acknowledge this. I love to analyze the morality of the show because it is interesting as we can't use are real life standards to do so. I obviously love over analyzing everything about the show as I spend so much time doing so.
Feel free to ask anything or reach out!

Whenever I see a klamille/Klaroline shipper say Camille/Caroline is the woman Klaus loved most I remember the fact he literally chose to hold Hayley's dead body terrifyingly aware of the fact she's rotting away slowly due to his heightened senses over saving the life of his child, he really woke up and chose to cradle Hayley's decaying corpse till morning instead of going to save his baby from a horrible death and I just...

I'm never, ever, getting over the fact that they brought Klaroline back for the last season of The Originals, especially the way they did.
The way Klaus was showing her New Orleans and was spending time with Care the same day he was gonna die was just so ooc, both for him and her. That man loved his family, he was obssesed with them, and absolutely doted on his daughter, literally the most important thing/person in his life, and the fact that instead of being with her and his siblings on his last moments he chose to fuck around with his one night stand it's literally the biggest form of fan service (especially considering they brought Candice because I think the viewers were getting low).
I wouldn't have minded them if they decided to stay as friends, because that's what their whole dynamic in TO suggested (he was literally thinking of Cami, and she still had Stefan's ring), because I actually liked them that way; they both madurated (Klaus in his own way, but still) but then the writers decided to turn around, have them kiss and have Caroline say she will never forget him when she literally said she never felt safe with him.
It's not Klaroline (or the shippers) I have a problem with, it’s the fact that the writers were so adamant in shoving them down our throats.
Again, if Klaus somehow survived and let Elijah kill himself in order to contain The Hollow (which is so unlikely, Klaus would not just let his brother die and we all know it), and Klaroline was made endgame, it’s the way they should have been made endgame, and it's certainly not the way the show handled them. And I doubt they had stayed long as a couple, Rebekah hated her and I doubt Caroline would have been able to support the Mikaelson lifestyle (and tbh I don't think Kol or either Freya would have liked her, but that's my opinion).
And don't even let me get started on the fact that while Hayley was kidnapped they were fucking flirting (soo ooc, again).

Plec and co’s favorite reason for bonnie never getting with any of the male characters were that bonnie was too good and honorable. They honestly thought this was a compliment and yet it doesn’t feel like an insult to Elena, Caroline, Davina and etc. Because plauge and co still showed how all these girls were good people and honorable while dating these morally bad male characters. Moreover,it honestly showed how incredibly racist they were. Because a character is supposed to be multilayered, if written well a character is able to grow. Yes, Bonnie is supposed to keep the natural order of things but still she risked her life plenty of times for her vampire friends even when they killed innocents so why isn’t she allowed to bend her morals to fuck Klaus? or Damon? Or Kol? or Kai? But no they didn’t ever let bonnie explore her morals on that end. In there I eyes, she was too good of person, almost like mother teresa until she had to break her morals to save her friends but even that was scene as honorable.

Otis, if you believe that Klaroline shouldn’t have become a couple because Klaus is a murderer and has killed other people’s family members even though Caroline is a murderer herself and has killed someone’s aunt/sibling/son & daughter then you need to log off.
If you believe that klaroline was too “abusive,” but have no problem with Caroline raising Alaric’s children, being forced to carry his dead wife’s children without her consent, the pregnancy nearly killing her just so she could save Alaric from his pain. Did I forget to mention the fact that she almost married Alaric? Let’s be real, y’all were mad because he was her ex teacher, not because he killed her father and tortured her when she was a teenager. Her becoming the mother of his children was disturbing as fuck and ruined her character. Period. Plec just wanted a chance to show off her misogyny.
Like I said before, y’all had no issue with Caroline marrying her abuser’s(Damon) brother and being branded as Stefuckboy’s true love. Y’all had no issue with her becoming besties with Damon. Y’all had no issue with Damon officiating that mid ass wedding. 🤨 Did y’all suddenly forget that when she “married” the Rippah, Damon became her brother in law? Let’s not forget that the person desperately claim is Caroline’s “true love” did nothing to help her when she was getting abused by Damon in season one just because he wanted no issues with him and Elena. Y’all must have selective memory or something.
“Caroline would be betraying Elena and Tyler. Klaus killed…”
When Elena tried to kill Liz, it was crickets. Complete silence. I didn’t see nobody mad about that. Let’s get something straight, Caroline owes Elena no loyalty. Elena went as far to get into a relationship with Caroline’s abuser, and even slutshamed Caroline for Damon SA'ing her. And Caroline was coming from a concerned place for her friend. The hell is wrong with y’all?! Why give loyalty to Elena when it was never reciprocated?
Another thing, I’ve talked this conversation to death. Caroline and Tylah were broken the fuck up. What she does with her own coochie is HER business. She did not owe him any loyalty. They were not friends, or anything. She doesn’t owe him a motherfucking thing. I didn’t see anybody mad that Tylah came back and had sex with Caroline before even telling her that he was leaving again. He had every right to want to avenge his mother. And Caroline had every reason to drop that wack ass relationship and do what the fuck she wanted. And for the ditsy dumbasses comparing the situation as if it were Liz, y’all are the same people that did not care about Damon becoming friends with Caroline’s mother, or speaking at Liz’s funeral. Wasnt Damon bragging about raping Caroline to Stefan and Alaric? Wasn’t Damon the last person to speak to Liz before she died? Sick as fuck. Y’all didn’t say anything about Elena trying to kill Liz either.
Lastly, if you believe that Caroline was in the wrong for celebrating Klaus’s demise in season three then you’re not only Otis but boo boo the fool. 🤡 Go take a nap.

I might offend someone, so please consider if you wanna read this.
People (DE fans) who say how much their love Damon and Bonnie's friendship are the fakest people ever.
They do not love their friendship as much as a fact they are just friends and that's a difference. But many other people who were friends can start a relationship, even Damon and Elena were friendly in season one, but do not you dare to do it with Damon and Bonnie…because a male and a female can be just friends. BEEP! An another lie detected, it's not about urge to see more male-female friendships, it's a tactic to protect their toxic wreckship.
The series presented bunch of hints there can be something more. Actors acted their scenes purposely to show their chemistry. They put their foot in the door, but did not go inside.
Caroline offered a friendship to Klaus and stood behind this decision. Why a lot of people from the same group had tantrum they did not end up together or weren't even dating? A male and a female can be just friends, right?
I've a whole bunch of posts and arts dedicated to people who wanted them to be more and de fans go there purposelly and yell"they are friends! Oh I love their friendship" (sometimes even with caps lock and sometimes they did not even love their friendship, they just remind they are friends). Like whatever, the show is ended, nothing happened, but would it hurt these people at least, just to be honest or leave it alone, instead of their fake support, when it's all just about interrupt a group and showing support to their (DE) ship. Better no support than the fake one.
Or I just overthink things to much, that's also possible. Anyway, this really needed out of me.
So, for the record, yes this is a very subjective post and I'm not against calling things as they are, Damon and Bonnie were friends and I'm not against freedom of speech, this is about decency….my problem is how delena fans hunt bamon edits, fanarts and ect, who are openly and visibly about their romantic potential, it does not make any sense other than drown out people who are for romantic bamon. That's how I feel it.

Ironic
Disclaimer: if you like Hope, don’t read this. This is just my opinion. I have nothing against fetus/babies/kids/teenagers in general, just this fictional one.
Ok, am I the only one who found it Ironic that Hope was meant to be the Mikaelson’s ‘hope’, but ended up being the reason they died/were separated?
So instead of letting a child, they hardly know (because that is the truth), the Mikaelson’s, who were all about always and forever, choose to break apart their family, all for a child, as far as they were aware, would never be able to see?
Maybe it’s because I don’t have children, or I’m selfish, but that all just seems very stupid to me. And way to OC for the characters I grew to love in TVD.
And then dying. Once again, same thing, because Klaus was out of that kid’s life more than he was in it, and Elijah, I get he was willing to die more for his brother, than the kid (which I can respect) but yeah, same thing.
But it’s so frickin ironic, now, whenever I hear “family’s hope” I think, NOPE. Lizzie was right, “More like despair”.
I know it seems really harsh. But that’s the truth.
Like I get why people say “don’t blame Hope” or “don’t blame the kid, blame the hollow”. And I get not blaming the 6 or 7 year old, but I COMPLETELY blame the 16 year old and whoever raised her.
Like why the hell would she think she could actually contain a spirit it took 4 original vampires to contain? It just seems so stupid to me.
I also blame Hayley and Freya for this, they always said “tribrid this, tribrid that”. It was “all about the ‘tribrid’”. Except she wasn’t a tribrid yet. Heck, she didn’t even have her baby fangs, let alone her adult ones. She only had the bark, not the bite. She was WAY TO arrogant. She may have been able to take on Davina (who was currently dead), and undo a spell from the Hollow, but that doesn’t mean a 16 year old witch, can actually take on a over 1000 year old spirit.
I don’t know, it was likely only me, but I just thought her being the Mikaelson’s Hope, when in my head, she ruined the all-power respected family I loved and admired, seemed really ironic.
Also, I kind of wish we did see more of the world where “Hope Mikaelson was never born”, just for the Klaroline.

Tumblr media
So I was scrolling Pinterest and as usual, a pin of Klaus and Cami popped up and Battle of the Ships broke out in the comments and I got irritated watching everyone fight and typed this up. Only to be told there were toooo many characters and "500" was the "max". 🙄 So I figured I'd share here instead. Thank you. Good day sir.
Mikael destroyed his heart.
Esther closed it.
Tatia confused his heart.
Aurora put a knife through it.
Caroline opened his heart.
Hayley showed him how to use it.
Cami mended and brought his heart back to him.
Hope was his heart.
His parents destroyed it and he didn't have it in himself to fight it, so he let their words and thoughts. Deception and manipulation control and take it over. Aurora never intentionally stabbed Klaus in the heart but with the help of Elijah, she made him feel unlovable anyway. Tatia used his heart like a fish used to torment a cat, dangling it just out of reach. Without Caroline, he would have pushed passed and suppressed every ache his heart had to beat again. She brought it back to life. But he used it in the wrong ways. He wasn't taught and hadn't tried to learn for a thousand years but Hayley snuck passed him- against his will. Forced him to face it the good, the bad, the right, the wrong, the toll it takes but you need it. So he tried for her but it wasn't strong enough for himself and the two girls. Cami held him accountable and apologized when she went out of bounds. Even when he deserved it most. She taught him the control your heart has on others' hearts. How to mean what you say and not act on how it feels.
She gave him the final push to make that change. The strength he needed was not just tough love but nurturing and encouraging. Understanding with the ability to hold him accountable. Unlike the others, she showed him she'd stay while he changed instead of leaving and waiting for him to change on his own. He needed to know someone other than family would stand in his corner and help him back up even at his worst without doing it out of the ache of responsibility or out of fear of what would happen next if they didn't step in right then and there. Then Hope. His inner child. His child. His heart and world. Hope was his heart's rebirth. His old one was scarred and mendable but with her birth, he was given a new one. A new understanding of something he could never grip or imagine. But with that understanding came the understanding of pain and the fact he wouldn't have her be raised to see what he was but read it. He couldn't erase what he'd done, but he could make sure it was his past. Nothing more than an old dusty book on a shelf.
She had control over his heart no one else could fathom-- even herself. She didn't even need puppy eyes to get what she wanted the second it crossed her mind it'd be there. He didn't do a great job at what he wanted for her and changing his ways. But, he tried. He was willing to be held accountable, face the pain, admit his wrongdoings, and be fine with getting what he deserved in the end as long as those girls, his siblings, and his children went untouched. Everyone goes to a battle about which love interest is best. Which ship truly was his "epic love", but the truth is it was none of them on their own was Klaus' "epic love". But, all of them played a part in who he is not Caroline, Hayley, or Cami on their own but all as one whole. I ship them all for this reason and in 3 other lives each one would be endgame and more. But in the show his true love, the person he was in love with the most and changed him into a better man and he couldn't have gotten anywhere without them. It wasn't even romantic at all. It was the love he had for his daughter and whether you like Hope or not you can't deny it. Klaus' end of his story or his heart and love was always meant to end with the love of his daughter. His true love. And that hurts more than any platonic love interest because he was always meant to end up alone in that way. And, it hurts even more that the bond he and Hope had was never allowed to be anything more than 2 years and 3 weeks out of the 15 years he could've had with when he was alive because of the threats he and his family spent making for 1,000 years while they tried how to learn to love each other, themselves, the beauty of the world and people inside of it. It all could have been avoided with someone willing to put them in their place, teach them, give them the decency of some good old-fashioned understanding, and a sprinkle of therapy.

Hello hello! Your kc autumn exchange gifter here - I am VERY excited by your request and can't wait to get to work. For brain storming purposes, there are a few spots I'd like specifics on:
Please rank the original siblings in order of most to least favorite (Klaus will obvs be featured no matter where he ranks lol) - you can choose to include Freya and Henrik if you wish
If I can account for most of your likes (humor, angst with happy ending, banter; original sibling relationship; Caroline's relationship with Liz) - how important in that case would it being canon compliant be? I have ideas that require some liberty but are filled with original sibling hijinks
No human au overall, but how would you feel about either of these scenarios: Caroline as a human with the rest of the originals as the vamps they are OR Caroline as a vampire but flashbacks to when she was human
For the relationship with Liz - is it necessary she be alive, or can she have passed but be fondly remembered and a significant portion of Caroline's life and relevant to her characterization? While also not making it a fic centered around grief, just getting your feelings on this
All this to say your ask is WONDERFUL and I'm so excited to create something you'll love!
i cannot believe you're making me rank the originals. that's like making me pick a favourite child, except i care about these fictional characters more than i would about a hypothetical child i don't ever plan to have. oh my god.
anyway, after lots of agonising, i suppose that rebekah takes the cake--i cannot help it, i am Not Normal about this woman--followed by either kol or elijah since i simply CANNOT decide, and then poor, murdered finn. i generally prefer freya and henrik dead, since they're not really characters, are they? they're symbols, there to mark the loss of innocence in mikael and esther, or the original sibs.
and ofc, klaus is in a class of his own, not that it needs to be said, lmao.
as for everything else you've outlined, i'd honestly be down for it all. fell free to flout canon compliance, especially. for instance, my .... eh, i don't want to call it dislike, but perhaps wariness, of human aus stems from the fact that it's very hard to preserve the nuance and the moral ambiguity of these characters when they're human and the stakes are different, not any innate dislike of the trope itself. caroline in s1 when she was human is incredibly dear to my heart, and honestly any portrayal of her as a vampire that doesn't draw heavily on her human days is probably lacking.
as for the final point, as my favourite minecraft youtuber (i am not proud.) would say, go bucknutty.
