So I watched an episode of a somewhat obscure Aussie cartoon show called Monster Beach. In the episode, they introduced a Termite Queen antagonist who quickly became my favorite character. HOWEVER at the end of the episode they kill her off in a disproportionately brutal way before she can do anything particularly evil. Her death felt abrupt, casual, and somewhat undeserved as the worst she did in the episode (AFAIR) was be rude to the protagonists. (She also wanted to eat a Tiki guy she fell in love with but he appeared to be an antagonist so that's neither here nor there.)
So, I drew this comic of what happens in the afterlife, years after the events of the show, to do this would-be villain the justice she deserves.
@horrour ( Kurt ) : ❝ this year is my year. i can feel it. ❞
Kristy was laid out in his bed, eyes watching him with curious attraction and wonder as he moved around the room in thought. She was under the quilt, wearing only the shirt he'd gone to sleep in originally and hair mused from just waking. This was her second morning in his apartment, but not the first time she'd spent the weekend. In fact it was the third time closing in on a pattern for a monthly visit. She wasn't complaining though and neither was he, in fact he seemed to be effortlessly falling into it as well whenever she showed up unannounced on a weekend.
This morning, halfway into the month of October, he spoke up with words that had her quirking a brow. She couldn't stop the roll of her blue eyes, lifting a hand to rub at the top of her head with a small groan, "Kurt, it's almost winter." She yawned with a shut of her eyes, fluttering them open after and looking to his nightstand for one of the many vapes laying there. She picked one up and brought it to her lips for an inhale, filling her lungs with smoke then releasing it before speaking again, "But... I'll humor you." She set the vape down and shifted to sit up, wrapping her arms around her knees over the quilt, "What makes you think this is the year?"
Jamba Juice. He picked Jamba Juice. She should've gave him more direction in where they could meet, but she wasn't going to offer anything else up. She felt meeting him in public (though somewhat private) was better than in private-- not that she was scared of Kurt. No. She saw what he was capable of sure, but she knew herself. She knew what she was capable of and if a comedian could hold up then her kickboxing was going to go a long way in keeping him from touching her. That was a problem?
Stop. Focus.
She needed to be on her A-Game if she wanted to tell Kurt just what the fuck she wanted? She couldn't be caught up on this or that thinking about the parts of her brain that were wired to attraction for him. Attraction. Never in a million years did she herself having a remote feeling for any man that so much as called themselves "influencer", but Kurt? Kurt Kunkle was someone who captured her attention more than anyone else ever had. It'd started back when she was trying to find someone to watch on LiveFly and the next thing she knew... she was one of his very, very few subscribes.
There was something about Kurt. It wasn't charming, it wasn't charismatic, it wasn't smooth, and it sure as hell wasn't anywhere near romantic. He was a killer. Certified. A psychopath. Also certified. And yet... Kristy wanted so badly to slam him into a wall and show him what it's like to finally have someone touch him. Did that make her pathetic? Crazy? Maybe.
But when you're the reason your mom's life support suddenly stopped working... you've passed the chart on crazy already.
DING!!
Her blues perked up from her book, looking to the door only to find her breath catching at the sight of the man of the hour walking in. She stared at him from over her book, holding tight to the paperback and shifting against her seat. She licked over her bottom lip, rubbing it against her upper after then slowly closing the book to bring a small grin to her face. She watched him move further into the building, glancing about before looking her way. She brought her hand up, fingers curling in a waving motion.
Who knew someone so... greasy looking could be so eye catching in the right lighting at a Jamba Juice.
i cant stop thinking about making like a dsmp video game mock up? some cross between darkest dungeon and rpg maker... like... carrying over how important character dynamics are where like characters lose sanity when around others + environmental factor + this and that. Nobody sees the visiom but sanity being a stat that you need to.manage and can be impacted by the other members jn the party Well... its makingnme knutts
