I just like to think of the 2012 TMNT writers sitting around with big old grins as they write down a plot where it's very obvious to the audience that there's going to be some big reveal about Karai and Miwa being the same person.

And the audience was so focused on that aspect that they didn't notice that all along they've been hinting that IRMA IS NOT HUMAN in little moments that are so obviously hinty that it's baffling that I was 90% unaware until the actual reveal. (Sus, but only kinda)

You can say a lot about their decisions about Subprime as Irma but how many of you can honestly say that you saw it coming?

Looking back on season 2, I can’t help but wonder how much Kraang Subprime probably wanted to kill Casey.

Throughout all of season 2, Casey would constantly throw digs at Irma, and he wasn’t even really subtle about them. Someone with Kraang Subprime’s ego and temper would have not let petty insults slide. Especially with the frequency Casey was throwing them.

Unfortunately for Kraang Subprime, he couldn’t risk to losing his cover until he found the turtle’s lair. So, he couldn’t just saw Casey in half.

A shame we never got Casey’s thoughts on Irma’s true identity.

I feel the only emotional damage April got from the Irma being Kraang Subprime twist was just in the episode it was revealed. She was scared and shocked but after that, April doesn’t seem bother by the fact that her best friend for over a year was all a lie.

The wasted potential in what they could’ve done with the outcome of this twist. I would’ve loved it if April had trouble making friends with other people again and trusting others because of what happened. Imagine she met the Utrom Rook and had a panic attack or something just from seeing her. I would’ve love it if Rook and April had a conversation, Rook would apologize for what Subprime did but April would tell her she is not to blame and maybe they in a way “start over” and become friends.

Also my HC that April begins to struggle with trusting others on a friendship level ties into my HC that her and Mona Lisa would become best friends. Mona never had true friends in the military growing up and April in a way relates to that because she realizes that she never truly had a real (female) friend. Mona would help her trust others again, starting with her and the two would bond and eventually become BFFs!

Okay I'm working on TMNTTOBER day 20-22 Which will be sort of a comic (it will probably be delayed or posted late because I'll probably be busy this weekend idk I'll figure some stuff out) and I'm just gonna say it.

I'm fully convinced the ONLY reason Irma turned out to be Kraang Subprime in the 2012 series is so they can add more emotional damage and trauma to April. Since she already has a whole list of trauma I'm convinced the writers wanted her to suffer even more so they did that.

(Ngl if you wanna think of some kind of build up to Irma being a kraang, maybe we can use the idea that the reason she always asked about April's secret friends is because Subprime was made aware of the turtles and April seemed to be an ally to them. Just my take-)

Fans often forget that 87 Krang is originally from the 2012 universe (being Kraang Subprime’s cousin) but we learn in the season 4 episode Trans-Dimensional Turtles that he was banished to the 87 dimension because he wanted to destroy planets instead of mutate them like his Kraang brothern. This is a canon fact in the 87/2012 series that is over looked by many fans.

This means that if the 2012 universe or better yet the 2012 Kraang never existed then that most likely means that the 87 world and the 87 Turtles probably wouldn’t have existed either.

Now that’s an AU I’d like to see!

I drew some stuff relating to, "The Day the World Broke" by Saladmix ! I swore off drawing the Bayverse Turtles but the fanfiction broke me,, /hj

MM / TOTTMNT Raph x Casey is the first time I've enjoyed a Raph and Casey pairing (romantically), so I drew that too ! I used your interpretation of MM / TOTTMNT Casey Jones, @up-the-anti ! I hope that's cool ! 😔🫶✨

I need to keep drawing more TMNT girlies, so I doodled Rise! Kendra and 2012 Irma ! However, this was more of my own personal interpretation of Irma rather than canon ! I thought it would be cool to depict Irma as a Utrom survivor instead of Kraang Subprime ! So she would be an Utrom adolescent that escaped to Earth (With the Irma robot disguise-) and tried to lay low in New York City after Kraang Prime's hivemind takeover in Dimension X- She would just be trying to live a normal life like April and her want to befriend April would be genuine / not a manipulation tactic or anything like that !

I think this would've been cool world building for 2012, since it would address the Kraang hivemind and separation of the Utrom early on, as well as create "drama" (so to speak) between Irma and the rest of the group considering she's a "Kraang" and Irma has to defend herself / explain that Kraang and Utrom are not the same thing and that she wasn't betraying them-! 😭
