Finally got some good pics of Ainsel’s summer kit!

Since this event was more “sit around a fire and chat” than “kill wolves in the woods”, I didn’t feel the need to stack up on armor like usual. She’s got good mobility and a few armor points from the bracers, though the lack of traction on those sandals turned out to be a problem!

The badge Ainsel wears is a symbol of the tiny house she’s heir to, Hobb’s Peak. They’re technically wearing it always, but it’s hard to display with armor!

A cursed sword pulled from a wounded god.

This was a fun project, it was more of a restoration/conversion than a full build. It was originally an old style boffer but the tape was breaking and we wanted to save the amazing pommel. So I removed the old blade using my bandsaw then built a new style blade for it.

Filming this weekend for the Horsemanship Showcase contest which I'm entering late. Whoops. It's a vote-out-of-ten event for three categories: horsemanship, showmanship, difficulty.

So any excuse to dress up, put all the glowy props on, make a flag out of what I think is a curtain but might be LARP kit, and go play in the forest. Wheeeee!

New shop, new shop, new shop!!!

Etsy is dead.

The fees are so bad I've put the entire shop into Holiday and I don't intend to open that platform again.

I've bailed to BigCartel! I needed the push to get the shop front tidied up. While I stock-take all the boxes of My Little Ponies I held back from Etsy you can still peruse the 80s Ponies and LARP kit and handmade things I've already got listed.

Here’s where Ainsel’s kit ended up for the event! I made a lovely brooch to wear with the cloak that broke almost immediately, so we’ll have to revisit that next event. And I’d like to have a bit more padding under the breastplate if I’m not going to wear a full gambeson, because that got a bit painful after a while. But overall it layered well for the cold weather, it was easy to move in, and it gave me the maximum amount of armor points, so I call that a success!

Some more example of my belts and crafts! They are all hand woven from macrame cord. I can also make them with paracord.

They are fully customizable in length and come in a variety of patterns, colors, and ring types (i can also make them with traditional belt buckles).
