Book Review: “Lanegan” by Greg Prato
It’s a weird thing to put in a biography. But in this case, the following is true.
“When it comes to Mark Lanegan, there are many things that you are better off not knowing,” music journalist Charles R. Cross says of the former Screaming Trees and Queens of the Stone Age singer and solo artist.
Fortunately for “Lanegan” author Greg Prato, Lanegan wrote all that stuff in his harrowing memoir, “Sing Backwards and Weep,” freeing Prato to focus on other stuff in his oral biography.
Like Lanegan the man, “Lanegan” the book is non-traditional. Generous at 319 pages and including a passel of black-and-white photos from throughout Lanegan’s career, it’s self-published - released Feb. 22 on the one-year anniversary of Lanegan’s death from undisclosed causes - but professional in content and layout.
“I look at (Nirvana’s) Kurt (Cobain), (Alice in Chains’) Layne (Staley) or even more Andy Wood - Mark was darker than them all,” Cross says. “I don’t know that Mark’s death is darker, but Mark’s life was darker than any of those people.”
In addition to Cross, Prato spoke with Lanegan’s Screaming Trees bandmate Gary Lee Conner; QOTS bassist Nick Oliveri; collaborators Chris Goss (Masters of Reality), Mike Johnson (Dinosaur Jr.), guitarist Jeff Fielder and bassist Aldo Struyf; Sub Pop Records CDO Megan Jasper; original Nirvana drummer Chad Channing; former Red Hot Chili Pepper Josh Klinghoffer; former Soundgarden bassist Kim Thayil; Jesse Hughes of Eagles of Death Metal; and friends including Sally Berry, Clay Decker - who makes the dangerous assertion that Lanegan died because he was vaccinated against the coronavirus - and others. The result is an often-surprising portrait of a singular musician that paints Lanegan as an even more enigmatic figure than he seems in life and art.
“Like, we liked Lindsey Buckingham,” Hughes says in discussing Lanegan’s musical influences.
“How the fuck are you going to tell me you can see that? Point to a Mark Lanegan song and go, ‘Oh, Lindsey Buckingham.’ I couldn’t do it. So, the fact that I can’t do it tells me … Mark was in full possession the knowledge that he was unique.”
Rather than unfolding like a typical oral biography, Prato’s book is organized in 16 chapters built mostly around a single question such as “What made Mark so unique as a singer?,” “What was it like to work - in various capacities and on various projects - with Mark?” and “How would you like Mark to be remembered?” This makes “Langegan” as unusual and singular as Lanegan.
Though Lanegan left a ton of damage - to himself and his friends and collaborators - in his wake, the man who emerges from “Lanegan” is a musical omnivore (as his unlikely partnerships with Isobel Campbell and Soulsavers demonstrate) with a wicked sense of humor and a fierce sense of loyalty to the people he held closest.
“His heart was wonderful,” producer John Agnello says. “I know he was tough, I know he could be a cocksucker to people, but man, I saw things about him that I don’t think enough people saw.”
These are the things about Lanegan you are better off knowing. And they’re there for the learning in “Lanegan.”

Alice in Chains was the supporting act for the tri-headlined Clash of the Titans Tour featuring Slayer, Megadeath, and Anthrax. This was the second leg, the first being a European tour supported by Testament and Suicidal Tendencies.
Alice in Chains was not originally met with cheering fans and friendly greetings, unfortunately. According to Sean Kinney, “Slayer fans were impatient, to say the least, with Alice’s deliberate, Complex arrangements, hurling verbal abuse and-in one instance-jugs of Kool-Aid at the group…That was one of our finest shows.” says Kinney, in an interview with Request’s Daina Darzin
Originally, Alice in Chains was not on the bill for the North American tour. According to Get Thrashed, the 2006 Thrash Metal Documentary, Death Angel was to be the supporting act instead. However, after a near-death bus crash, they were forced to pass on the gig; opening up the space for Alice to promote their first studio album, Facelift.

Pls read this before DMing me
Hello, my name is Yuki and my pronouns are she/they. I am transfeminine nonbinary, and assigned male at birth, as if it even matters.
I am a switch and I can rp any gender or sex, so don’t be afraid to ask if you want to roleplay with me.
Kinks include:
Birth
Breeding
Fpreg
Transfem preg
Anal birth (fpreg or transfem preg only)
Girlcock birth
Sadism
Sex inducing labor
Sex during labor (genuinely a great way to keep the labor stage interesting for me)
Hyper birth/oversized offspring (anywhere from 10lbs to the size of an actual adult. You decide)
Multiples (literally any plausible number atp)
Any type of nonhuman/monster/alien birth
Egg laying when the egg(s) is/are of equal or greater size to a human baby
Painful birth
Tearing
Generally, if it’s a category of birth, I’ll like it
Things I’m neutral to (not interested in but doesn’t make me ick):
Pregnancy (aside from confirming the size of the offspring, bellies don’t do much for me. Includes most permapreg. Sometimes I like a little pregnancy fluff, but it’s gotta be followed by birth)
Sex (if it’s completely unrelated to birth. Barely even made this list as I do enjoy it of course, I’d just rather it not detract from birth, as this is a birth kink centered blog. I’ll link my other blog at the bottom of this post.)
Birth denial (usually goes on for much longer than I have the patience for.)
Egg laying when the egg(s) is/are smaller than a human baby
Other types of birth that include smaller offspring (it’s gotta be a challenge)
Orgasmic birth (the pain is what I like about birth. Adding pleasure just makes it boring to me.)
Lactation (does nothing for me)
Things that make me ick:
Mpreg (starting to grow on me but if they’re too masculine it’s a still big ick)
Tmpreg (starting to grow on me moreso than mpreg, but too much masculinity is still an ick)
Sex during birth (anal or otherwise. Best case scenario it distracts from the birth, worst case scenario it’s straight up creepy)
Breast growth (when it’s a focus or excessive. I prefer smaller breasts anyway)
Weight gain
Furry
Inflation
Vore
Gore (I like blood and tearing, not organs or mutilation)
Stillbirth/miscarriage
Death (under very specific circumstances, I’ll allow it)
Pedophilia (should go without saying. I am NOT attracted to the baby AT ALL. Just the birthing)
Anyone 50 or older (my bad for not listing this here earlier, I forgot about it. Please do not send me asks about anyone over 49, whether it be the seeder or carrier, it’s just not my thing. I have no problem if you yourself are in that age range, this is just concerning fantasy)
Now that you know what I’m into and what I’m not, my dms are open if you’d ever like to talk or rp. I promise I will get back to you as soon as I can.
I am extremely grateful to have found this community of likeminded people who share this rare and often misunderstood kink and I would like to do more than just lurk for once. I really want to become a real part of this community, so please follow me if you like what I post and never be afraid to interact with me. My asks are always open and I will respond to as many as I can. Every time I open tumblr I check my inbox and every time I see a new one I do a little cheer, so do not hesitate.
That being said, if you want to see what I’m like when I’m not posting about birth, you can check out my alt blog, @laynejailey, where I post things such as: normal content, other kink content, My Chemical Romance, Class of 09, Jerma985, and Hatsune Miku.
Also if you’ve caught on by now, the name of my alternate blog did come from “Layne Staley” and the name of this blog is a similar destruction of “Dave Grohl”.

Alright. I’m saying it just this once because the comments on my videos/comments I see elsewhere/anons etc never seem to end...
Did Dave Grohl work Taylor Hawkins to death?
Shall we dive in? Let’s dive in.
This whole theory/idea comes from the May 2022 issue of Rolling Stone Magazine which was supposed to be a tribute to Taylor, but instead, ended up being a hit piece on Dave Grohl. The article claimed that many sources, including Matt Cameron and Chad Smith, said that Dave "forced" Taylor into playing these 3 hour long shows and he couldn't do it, begged him to stop, that it fell on deaf ears, etc... and then he died. From exhaustion. This is what Rolling Stone ever so lovingly printed about the Foo Fighters not even 2 months after they lost their brother/best friend (and made Matt Cameron deal with on the anniversary of Chris Cornell’s passing)… But - let's gather the facts here.
IMMEDIATELY after this article came out, both Matt Cameron AND Chad Smith came out and said that their statements were completely and totally skewed.
Chad Smith: "Taylor was one of my best friends and I would do anything for his family," Smith says on social media. "I was asked by Rolling Stone to share some memories of our time together, which I thought was going to be the loving tribute he deserved. Instead, the story they wrote was sensationalized and misleading, and had I known I never would have agreed to participate. I apologize to his family and musical friends for any pain this may have caused. I miss Taylor every day."
Matt Cameron: “When I agreed to take part in the Rolling Stone article about Taylor, I assumed it would be a celebration of his life and work. My quotes were taken out of context and shaped into a narrative I never intended. Taylor was a dear friend, and a next level artist. I miss him. I have only the deepest love and respect for Taylor, Dave and the Foo Fighters families. I am truly sorry to have taken part in this interview and I apologize that my participation may have caused harm to those for whom I have only the deepest respect and admiration."
Now, why would such a thing happen?
Because that's what Rolling Stone magazine does. They can't print the truth, because the truth is too fucking boring. This is their history. In 1997, they wrote a piece titled "Eddie Vedder: Who Are You?", in which they not only interviewed his high school bullies who sat there and said "oh, he lived in a nice house, his step dad couldn't possibly have been abusive!" and Rolling Stone AGREED with this, but they took those little interviews and formed an entire narrative about how Eddie is a master manipulator that has faked his entire persona throughout his whole life, and that he used his image as a "tortured soul" to “propel himself to fame”, just so he could “become the face of the 90s”. That he had a great upbringing, and is faking it all for the grunge. As if he knew that would happen and did it on purpose. Yes. They wrote this. I am not joking. They were not joking either. This is the same magazine we are talking about. That is some next fucking level conspiracy bullshit.
This is the same magazine that harped on Layne Staley and Kurt Cobain's drug use, despite being asked not to (not because they didn’t want to tarnish their images, but "because kids will think heroin is cool and it's not"). Rolling Stone printed cover after cover about them with titles like "the needle and the damage done" beside a photo of a distraught-looking Layne... instead of focusing on their music. Their music doesn’t matter. The gossip is what matters.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They even say it in their own documentary. “What's the story? What's the gossip?” No what’s the truth. The truth is far too boring. The truth doesn’t get people to gasp and click or grab the magazine off the shelf and pay for it. That’s why they do this.
This is the same magazine that had to pay out $1.65 million dollars in a lawsuit because of their defamatory articles. And yet? NOBODY lost their jobs. There were no warnings. They paid the money, and that was that. They can keep doing what they do. And people keep believing it their BS.
Here's the thing that's so odd: this article oddly parallels the article about Eddie Vedder I mentioned earlier. There's a tyrant leader of the band that forces everyone to bend to his will, and everyone is afraid of him. Nobody can say no to him.
Let me tell you why that's bullshit.
This frankly is a grotesque infantilization of Taylor Hawkins. Believe it or not, Taylor was a big boy who could call the shots in his own life. He was not a child at risk of getting beat over the head if he stepped out of line. Taylor's net worth in March 2022 was $40 MILLION FUCKING DOLLARS + written into ongoing royalties. I'm sorry, but this grown man was not beholden to an abusive boss because he was stuck living paycheck to paycheck. If it was that bad, he had the means to split.
(by the way, here is where I address the “dAve’S nEt wOrTh iS sO mUcH HiGhEr bEcAuSe hE’s gReEdY” - is it because of greed? or is it because HE WAS IN FUCKING NIRVANA? and also QOTSA????)
But was he exhausted, and just put up with it because he didn't want to leave?
Was he exhausted? Only Taylor knows that. But, we do have some concrete facts here. How does an exhausted person behave?
Do they get off the road with Foo Fighters and then immediately jump back on the road, or immediately get into the studio, with Chevy Metal, or The Coattail Riders, or NHC, or Birds, or just under his own name (see the Kota EP), or Nighttime Boogie Association? That's SIX side projects. Do they start taking on a bunch of other major commitments like recording with Ozzy, finishing a Dennis Wilson track, recording with Elton John, with Miley Cyrus? Shit, does that person fucking mountain bike EVERYWHERE, every day?
Not only that, but when he did jump back on the road or into the studio, HE TOOK DAVE WITH HIM. Chevy Metal live shows? There’s Dave. Dave with CM in Sydney. Dave. Look! More Dave. I could keep going. Taylor’s solo album parties - guess who joined? Multiple tracks on Get the Money feature Dave either singing with him or playing drums. Dave's not even a frigging member of these bands. Have you ever been in a relationship with a person that abuses and takes advantage of you? I have. You don't drag that person along with you at every opportunity, I can promise you that lmao. It's more like, I got some not being around you to do today, but I digress.
But let's go even further. Let's say Dave weaseled his way into all of that because he's a sneaky bastard and had to keep tabs. lmao
Do we really believe that NOBODY would say ANYTHING? "Oh, Chad and Matt did!" Chad and Matt not only called Rolling Stone out but they BOTH continue to hang around Dave. (Chad even joined a skit they did to introduce Josh Freese). Alison Hawkins put out a statement about how much Taylor LOVED "every single moment of his 25 years with the band". Would you say that about your husband's band if they killed him? How many of Taylor's friends continue to stay close to Dave and the Foos? His children? THE REST OF THE BAND????? Everyone just blows over the fact that Nate Mendel knew and loved Taylor as long as Dave did. Chris Shiflett knew and loved him since 1999. Pat Smear too - and this is the 3rd bandmate Pat has lost. Rami Jaffee knew and loved Taylor for years. ALL OF THEM witnessed EVERYTHING because they were all together through ALL OF IT. Do we really believe NONE OF THEM would have come forward? None of them would have stepped away from the supposed selfish murderer?? They can afford to. So can Josh Freese who was also buddies with Taylor. It's almost a year and a half later and nobody said ANYTHING? Not a soul? Not even anonymously?
No. Because Rolling Stone lied to you. Dave didn't overwork him. Dave did not "kill" his best friend. Dave cannot even keep it together without crying, after all this time, just mentioning his name. You just look at recent photos of him and you can see he took it HARD. You cannot fake that. This is the same guy that sat at Taylor's hospital bedside for 2 weeks praying for him to wake up from a coma in 2001 and refused to leave and broke down talking about it 10 years later. The same guy that said the happiest days of his life were the day Taylor woke up and the days his kids were born. And y'all really want to say he would've just blown past Taylor's pleas to play shorter shows because it was killing him? Or ignored the warning signs of exhaustion? Or anything else?
I've also heard he "killed Taylor" by "human sacrifice" to that I say what kind of crack are you fucking smoking? Straight up. For what? They were already one of the biggest bands. Because they made a stupid horror movie (I won’t watch it, but still) and Taylor gets killed in it, so now we are going to run rampant with the conspiracy theories that it was "a warning"? News flash: The WHOLE BAND gets murdered in that movie. How come they’re not all dead now if that’s the case?
I've also heard that Dave "forced him to take the covid vaccine and that killed him". Chris Shiflett addressed this with a simple two words: "Fuck you". And again, Taylor is not a damn toddler. If he didn't want the shot, he didn't have to take it. Nobody "made him" do shit. That whole thing about them mandating vaccines at their shows was a lie, too - which has perpetuated this argument that Dave made the whole band take it. There’s that big angry boss man again. That’s not what they did. They came through my city a month before Taylor died. There was NO vaccine requirement - because the venue didn’t have it in place. THE VENUES are the ones that called for that. Not that it really matters, but it’s just another lie that spread like wildfire.
But Dave is greedy! He replaced Taylor and now they're trying to get back out there like nothing happened!
If this is your argument, you aren't paying attention to their shows. They honor Taylor at EVERY SINGLE SHOW they have played since his passing. Dave sings Cold Day in the Sun and can't get through it without crying. They put out an entire album about him (save for some songs about Virginia Grohl) with some of the most heart wrenching lyrics you will ever hear about how missed he is.
When you're a musician, that is in your blood. You CAN'T just stop. Imagine not being able to do the thing you love most anymore in the midst of the most painful time of your life. What is going to carry you through? Music is what does it when it's part of you like that. Josh Freese is not a "replacement". Those guys - Dave, Pat, Nate, Chris and Rami - have been together almost 30 years (Rami not as long but still). It's not about the frigging money. It's them attempting to heal together.
Should they abandon each other and everything they have created together and look back on it with sadness at how it was all wiped out in an instant? Or should they let Josh Freese be the glue they need to move forward and keep playing to heal together and keep Taylor's memory alive at every show?
Finally - you don't look at someone the way they looked at each other if you don't love them or trust them. Straight up. All it takes is a quick google search to see that.
I also find it funny how Rolling Stone attempted to create a new narrative last October as if their first one didn't work. "Oh, it was an overdose". Oh, actually, it's none of your damn business.
Call me an idol worshipper or an elite sympathizer of evil (I'm literally a Christian) or a blind sheeple/obsessive fangirl too stupid to see The Truth, idgaf. Been called it all before. Stop beating down someone that is grieving the loss of their best friend. Open YOUR eyes.
Dave Grohl did not overwork or kill his best friend. I'm not having this conversation anymore.

tw: suicide, addiction, music discourse.
Honestly, I feel like there's a problem with people reducing dead artists to their struggles and their deaths. Like yes, the struggles people go through are an important part of their identity, but it seems kind of disrespectful to constantly talk about how tragic someone's life was, when they were also very talented, and often could also be funny, genuine people.
Just because someone's dead, doesn't mean they were just some walking piece of poetry, or just a vessel for making music. They were a human being, and deserve no more or less scrutiny, respect, and dignity than anyone else who was or is alive.
And I really fucking hate people who think addiction and mental health struggles are just quirky traits, or part of a successful career. NOBODY deserves to struggle with addiction and suicidal thoughts, and nobody deserves to die before they even get to turn 40. People like Kurt Cobain and Layne Staley may have touched people with their voices and careers, but trust me, they spent a lot of time in an emotional state nobody would envy. They became famous because they were talented and relatable, they probably could've gotten where they were without drugs or the pain they went through, and even if they couldn't, the fame didn't make all the misery worth it for them.
so yeah, i don't really know where i wanted to go with this, but remember that artists, dead or alive, are human beings who deserve respect, and no amount of fame or money can make being a wreck worth it.

2,6,59 for music ask game :3
2: Chris Cornell and Layne Staley. But also I freaking love Jessica Keenan Wynn. I only know her from a musical, but her voice is really nice
6: I honestly tend to gravitate towards heavier music, thrash and death metal especially, but I also like musicals, big band stuff, and emo.
59: I'm not quite sure how to answer, I really think music had a perfect streak for 1940-2005.

Girlfriend of grunge in the 90s
When I think of the 90s I’ve said before in the previous place it really gives me Pisces vibes, but obviously there’s some heavy Capricorn placements like Neptune and Uranus in the early 90s and late 80s 80s which gave it that dark edge.
These are all the girlfriends of grunge who I think are important, to mention in this story. first of all, we have Courtney Love, she is obviously the most known one out of all of these in this one, she was known for being an outspoken, kind of feminist, kind of misogynist, all rolled into one.
Boy, has she been through the wringer, being called, the Nancy Spudgen, a hole, of Nirvana, which is very low?, especially considering that Nancy was dead and it went through a lot of herself with sexist and press., it was probably because Courtney moulded herself around. I do have a lot more compassion for Nancy for what she’s been through because Courtney seems a lot more., vindictive with what she does and how she betray herself, Whatever I’ve seen about Nancy she seems less control of her behaviour but that’s okay sometimes if personality disorders in Courtney’s case
Sometimes sometimes compulsive liars get addicted to their own lies and end up saying things that aren’t true, Kat bjelland said 70% of what Courtney said is the truth, work out which bits are not?
But Courtney has been a pioneer in this area of, making music for girls and teenagers, and fully grown women like myself in my 30s, she makes you feel powerful, she makes you feel like you could do anything when you listen to one of her songs, and dressing up with her makes you feel even more powerful, there would be no grunge is aesthetic or kinder whore without these two women. have a lot of people who can’t stand Courtney love some of them are a lot of them are women as well they think she’s too egotistical honestly I think they’re just a bit bit jealous no I don’t think they will jealous. I think people are just intimidated.
Then you have our alternative Winona , who has been popular with the boy band members, alternative and rock boy bands not pop ,members, I think she even went out with that guy from County, Monica and Rachel from friends, I know Courtney and Jennifer, ha ha I just realised that could’ve been Jennifer Finch and Courtney love.
Yeah, she’s been around, she’s gone even when she shoplifted and had to go, she was still soft-spoken, who was obviously taking advantage of Johnny Depp from such a young age that it affected her for the rest of her adult life, she said her first everything . Which put a huge power in balance in the relationship. He moved onto Kate Moss., Winona Ryder you’re still that girl forever, she is like the actress alternative grunge girl, the music version, but in very different as, kind of like light feminine and dark feminine.
And you have demri , Lane Staleys model girlfriend, who he was with for many years since the 80s on and off,, they had a very up-and-down relationship, caused by drug and alcohol dependency, but you could tell that they really love each other they weren’t like where they were like a publicity machine, not that you can even call them but they were back in the day not that you know, kept his private life private, even people who went to school with him didn’t know that it was him graduated with because he was quiet and he kept a different last name, but absolutely stunning as you can see from my pictures very similar to Kristen pfaff , I’m sorry Hole fans ,you do not give enough credit for, anyway, Demri , and layne up breaking up, which people say he wasn’t the same after, she died in 1996, bacteria from the needle, to her heart and affected her a really bad way and got into an infection . he evidently died, a few years after cut to the same day he wasn’t found until his body was not in a good way. Let’s put it that., I hope they’re together in heaven happy and in love
Kristen Pfaff ,of Hole her death was extremely suspicious, and I know Nirvana fans believe this, not Courtney fans but I am on the fence with this. I find Courtney really appealing and really gracious and appealing. That’s the only way I can put it just very charismatic and that’s what her dad was like to, Kristen, given a hot shot, she’d got clean after Kurt Cobain died, pages in her diary were missing from that week. which is also extremely strange her family did not like Courtney and they find the whole thing suspiciousl brother was with her a lot of the time during those days. she was with a bang called Janet Joe and she got back with them. She was only meant to be touring bassist , she stayed a bit longer, was with Eric Allanson only because he was the only guy there at the time and I, advantage if you see pictures of her before she moves to Seattle, Courtney needs to give her bags with syringes and bags of heroin , she was professionally trained in, you can master the piano said that you can master anything it’s genius level music. sad that she died and the fans don’t give her credit “live through this “ is one of the best albums ever, this is my mix of the main grunge girls of the 90s and their impact and how talented they were in all different ways.

I sighed and looked down, ‘I need it’ I got up into the closet looking for my other stash y/n didn’t know about, I looked around until I found the stash “I’m so sorry” I said to myself ‘I promised’ I thought as I put the liquids into the syringe preparing to inject and decided to do another ‘another cant hurt right?’ I injected the other full syringe, after a few minutes I felt cold and sweaty feeling the beads go down my forehead, I started breathing heavily and felt my eyes going into the back of my head before blacking out into eternal darkness ‘what have I done’.
*Y/n POV*
You paid the cashier and started walking back home, you walked up the stairs to the condo grabbing the keys from your pocket and unlocking the door “Layne I’m back” you heard a silence and got worried “Layne?” You walked into the room and found Layne on the bed passed out “LAYNE NO!” You ran over to him trying to get him to wake up “YOU PROMISED LAYNE, YOU PROMISED” you went over to the phone dialing 911, after a while you were crying over Layne and the paramedics arrived and grabbed you off of Layne and did everything they could to help him but was pronounced dead, you broke down and wanted him to come back why couldn’t he come back to have another chance you whispered to yourself crying heavily “you promised”.
*Present*
You looked down at a picture of you and Layne, you really wished he didn’t do this all you wanted to do was help him, he promised he would stop, you had a son and named him after Layne “He wouldn’t want you to be sad mum” he was right, layne would’ve wanted you to live your life without him even though you couldn’t see him, he was always with you no matter what went wrong “your right” you sighed putting the picture with the rest of the pictures with you two “he promised he would stop” you felt your son hug you collapsed in his arms “he loves you for everything that you did for him, he’s keeping you safe mum he loves you after everything that went wrong” you wiped your tears away smiling at your son going for a walk to clear your mind with your only thought ‘What if he did stopped?’.
A/n: this was pretty long let me know what you think and please send requests you have any have a good day!

When Alice in Chains' first bassist Mike Starr was hanging out with Staley the day before his death Layne revealed that he'd seen Demri recently in his apartment. Staley said:
"Demri was here last night. I don't give a f*ck if you f*cking believe me or not, dude. I'm telling you: Demri was here last night."

Layne was beyond devastated by Demri’s death, which makes sense because he blamed himself for getting her into the heroin that tragically killed her.
Mark Lanegan said: “He never recovered from Demri’s death. After that, I don’t think he wanted to go on.”
It was rumored that he asked Demri’s mom for a teddy bear of Demri’s to keep after she passed that was found in his apartment years later when he passed away.

feat. MUSIC/PERFORMANCE
has performed shirtless with a burmese python draped over his shoulders during one of his solo gigs. python was the sound technician's and johnny insists it was his idea, not the tech's. only performed a couple songs with it but the crowd ate it up
the track, ' blistering love ', featured both female and male moans which were supposedly recorded when johnny had sex after hours in the vocal booth. there was a great deal of debate whether the male moans were johnny's or a male partner who was also involved. when directly asked about it, only ambiguous answers are given.
has occasionally performed an unreleased diss track which originally called out a fan who accused samurai (and johnny, by extension) of selling out by signing to a label. the song is about eight minutes long and is considered rare. it's included in random setlists at johnny's whim.
has done the following during samurai & solo performances: fired his gun, performed directly after a fist fight while still bloodied and bruised, simulated sex on stage, destroyed sound equipment, used images of defamatory news articles and smear pieces about him/the band as a visual backdrop (as well as wearing one printed out on a shirt), and set his guitar on fire after dousing it in lighter fluid.
johnny's alternate outfit in-game is based on his attire often worn during his solo career. the hairstyle was chosen on impulse and while he insists that he has no regrets, he immediately decided to grow it back out.
' black dog ' was johnny's final recorded song before his death and it was intended to be unreleased. it's considered to be one of his most personal songs and after it was discovered post-death, it's now regularly played on radio stations. hearing it being played publicly unnerves him in a way that can't be described.
musical influences for his stage presence and vocals (if applicable), including but not limited to: kurt cobain, trent reznor, nikki sixx, slash, peter steele, layne staley, iggy pop, and chino moreno
