Crepinlore and the 30-50 random games 90% of fandom has never heard about

This post, like everything else about this blog, is very self-indulgent. I discovered many things during its making, and I simply can't not share. So, let's begin with something you likely have literally never heard about, and go to more popular things from there:

KROSMASTER ARENA 3D

Krosmaster arena online was a video game it seems nobody played, and honestly, I am mentioning it here because I fear that if I don't document it, it will disappear, and it will turn out that it was simply a vision I had, as if in a David Lynch movie. Evaporating, like tears in rain.

I don't think anyone ripped/tried to rip/found a way to rip the models from it — and considering the fact they're pretty... mobile ad-core, not much may have been lost.

Anyway, here's Keke beating the shit out of some guy.

Wakfu Les Gardiens

Joris appears in the quest "The Tree of Life" of this game, which, as far as I'm aware, was updated in time with Wakfu episodes.

Even back then, Ankama knew that 1. Joris is very sus and 2. you cannot let him get close to you during a battle, or it's OVER.

It's all very cute.

There is something interesting I wanna say about this sprite, actually:

An alternate version of it exists, made as a concept for the Dofus MMO. I am assuming it was Juien Druant elaborating on the ways Joris might look in the game. The first two designs are: baby Joris (probably not used because he looks too young to be a 200 year old man...) and Welsh & Shedar 60yo Joris. They were combined to make the iconic Dofus MMO-era 200yo Joris design.

I'm quite sure that this sprite references the Les Gardiens one very heavily.

One More Gate: A Wakfu Legend

The first game in this list that actually has implications for real lore, and yet its plot is literally "it was all a dream that Oropo was having while inside the Eliacube"

For this reason, the events of this game are not entirely reliable — but are probably based in some way on the memories Oropo has.

The main contribution this game has to Crepinlore is a third Crepin, who might be an ancient ancestor of the brothers, whom Oropo met and remembered, some sort of cousin, or he might be based entirely on fiction, and inspired by Kerubim (though ehhh I severely doubt Oropo would care so much about him that he'd hallucinate a guy like him within Eliacube's fake world).

I really want to headcanon that the events of the game are based on something he really experienced, waaay before forming the brotherhood. But that's just my brain disaeses.

There are characters besides Atcham, Joris, and Kerubim in this game — Julith, Jahash, Lou... But I choose to concentrate on my favorite three ones. Or I will die fr.

If this Ecaflip gives the impression of constantly having a bad hair day, it's precisely because he doesn't have any! Brother of Kerubim Crépin, Atcham is fiercely jealous of the man he considers his worst enemy. And how could he not be, when not only does he occupy the prestigious position of Ecaflip's favorite son, but also displays his dense, silky fur without any modesty or sensitivity?

On topic of Joris,

An avid boufbowl player and fan of Khan Karkass, Joris also hopes to become a star of the horned ball. While his destiny may already be mapped out on the stadium pitch, his origins are much less clear… But the good thing about not knowing where you come from is that you can imagine anything! For the little boy, there's no doubt: his parents were great boufbowl players, and it doesn't matter if it's true or not!

And now, last but not least: Kerubim.

Judging by his adventures, Kerubim seems to have had more than 9 lives! From small-time opera rat, to Bontarian police officer, to lawyer: the least we can say is that during his youth, the man Joris calls his Papycha never stopped working! So much so that today, the owner of the antique store Aux Trésors de Kerubim takes advantage of his free time to purr quietly in his armchair, or to tell his adopted son about his past adventures. Past? Well, not quite! Because when the terrible witch Julith arrives to retrieve Jahash's Ivory Dofus, and seems intent on attacking Joris, the old tomcat doesn't hesitate to get in her way. With Kerubim, there's no age limit to being a hero!

Once again, it is confirmed that the store's name s literally "Aux Trésors de Kerubim". Sorry, I'm insane about the name of the show being the name of the store.

you hear about her lives on alternia. what it was like being a princess, what it was like being the pauper. how they weren't even really friends, before -- they ran in different circles.

we never find out how roxy quit drinking, or who helped her through it

and fefeta *loves* you. she listens to you talk about boys. you talk about your mom. fefeta never really spoke to her... but her nepeta half *knows what happened to your kitty frigglish* after he died. and frigglish said that your mom was okay.

and it's just. jane had her shit. jake was up in his shit. dirk had fucked off with his shit. and roxy really only had fefeta!!!!!!!!

and i think they were moirails and i think they loved each other so much. frankly. tbf.

roxy is a trans woman, fefeta is newly plural. they have a lot in common. tbqh. its like. its very beautiful. in my eyes. in my vision.

she dies

and this is like. this is a really big fucking deal honestly?

fefeta's death is like. a huge thing. its one of the only things she tells john about when summarizing the entirety of her session.

and this isnt something she magically gets back in the post-retcon timeline, either

like... when fefeta dies, there isnt a post-retcon fefeta. (we'll GET TO YOU JASPROSE.) it's just roxy who remembers fefeta's existence at all -- her friends dont have any connection to her. *nobody alive in all of reality* remembers her.

fefeta isnt just dead, dude, shes Fucking GONE. shes the goner ever. shes fuckin erased.

but honestly

on a level? good for her.

we've seen what being in homestuck does to people. it warps them, reshapes them. (see the new hsbc upd8 for some cool imagery about it.) fefetasprite was never a real part of the story. she got away with being silent -- her words are hidden from us. she was never in LE's clutches.

and why would LE even want to clutch her

🐿️ He is a BIG prankster ever since he was a KID. He loves to see his victim getting into his trap but he knows his limits if he goes too far. He doesn’t want to HURT them. Just wanna have fun with them in his pranks.

🐿️ The nickname “Squirrel” is what he got called from Kanoa (his new leader). Because of how fast he could run and how fast he reloaded his guns. And also, he always stuffed his stash somewhere for safekeeping. (Like an ACTUAL Squirrel during winter to hide their nuts)

🐿️He really likes to dance. It made him feel like he could express himself more. Even with others. Him and Agnes would always have a dance battle whenever they are out of work.

Background Story:

On February 20th, 1994, Nigel was born. In a city in Virginia. Red hair like his mother and the face of his father. A few months later after Nigel was born. His father had to go back to work as a CIA Agent. So he’s not always around. But will always be on the call whenever he’s available. For he does want to know that his son is doing okay with his wife. Nigel understands his work when he grew up a little bit older and he’s very amazed of how he did his job. So he wouldn’t mind his father not being around since he has his mother. Nigel was only 5 months old before his father left.

And while growing up. A mischievous little red ginger boy who always plots to have the BEST pranks in HISTORY. He always does. Even for a boy who was only 10-years-old in Elementary. He got in trouble for pulling a small smoke bomb in his class making the teacher think there’s a fire. His mom was in the principal office and he got an EAR FOLD from her. In 2004. 

When Nigel was already 12-years-old, his mother had given him a surprise that he’s going to have a little sibling! Which excited him so much. So he started to help out his mom as much as he could before the BIG arrival. He even told his friends and his teachers about the news. He wouldn’t even stop talking about it. Until 9 months later, his baby sibling had arrived and what’s even BETTER is that his dad was there as well. And he decided to take his leave until the mom is back on her feet again. Nigel had seen he had a baby sister. A beautiful and cute baby sister. He somehow felt SO happy to see the joyful looking baby. And he had promised that he will fight the whole world to make sure that she is safe.

During high school, he talked to his mom about his future career. He wanted to become a CIA Agent just like his dad! For he wanted to help the world against crime. His mother is a very passionate woman of helping others and hearing this from her own son. It made her feel with glee and pride. She accepted! But not his father. He’s not UPSET. He’s just…worried for his safety. Since he’s been working as an CIA Agent for a LONG time and through his experience. He doesn’t want Nigel to go through it and he does want his son to stay home to take care of his mom and little sister. Nigel understands but he wanted to do something GREAT. Helping the people. Helping the world. He really does. His mother could see that so she suggested to him that he can join the military. She threatened to talk with his father about it. Surprisingly he agreed and let Nigel join the marines.

Nigel joined the Marines at the age of 20, since he wanted to help out with his mom and his little sister first. In 2014.

He’s been in the Marines for only 3 years and is already a Lance Corporal at that time. Most of his higher officers praised his useful skills. His fast movements of taking down his opponents. Fast of changing his loads of his guns and quick enough to shoot down his enemies from near and far. His skills had gotten the attention from the Commander. The leader of the Shadow Company.

Philip Graves.

Graves had seen great potential in him and decided to recruit him into his team. Nigel was very excited for this as he quickly accepted without questioning. He was 23-years-old at that time when he joined the Shadow Company. And he’s been working with them ever since. After the incidents from Las Almas. In 2022. Nigel had decided to join the Warriors Task Force. As he wanted to make it up after what happened. He was 28-years-old when he transferred from SC to the WTF.

I do like other games fun fact!!! Darkstalkers is probs one of my favorite fighting games. One of the few I’m ok at lol (TwT ;). But yeah, I play as Lord Raptor and he’s a silly guy fr.

This is the whole Zabel page :3. I like to think Lord Raptor is like a stage name and Zabel Zarock is his actual name. It makes sense in the context that he’s a metal artist I guess. Also what is up with his birth year being listed as like 1889 everywhere? That does not make any sense in the context that he’s a metal artist 💀💀💀💀💀💀.

The next two are based on some of his early concept designs. Changed to look more like say alternate costumes for him cause some of these are wildly different not just outfit wise from the design that we got.

This one is by far my favorite, it’s him in that Midnight Bliss outfit lol. It looks nice on him. Ianno can be pronounced as Ayano or e-an-o.

Ianno was originally in Savannah claw but transferred to Scarabia due to some disagreements he had with Leona, but stays close friends with Ruggie.

Ianno is vegan, and prefers to eat salads and such.

He likes to pull off pranks on other dorm mates he doesn't like, ( it's actually the reason he got kicked out of- I mean transferred out of Savannah claw.)

Ianno has a strange friendship with Deuce.

His natural hair colour is red with blue highlights but dyed it black because he (was in his goth phase.) didn't want to draw too much attention to himself.

Ianno doesn't have his long hair anymore, sorry y'all.

And I debated this so many times, but Ianno is no longer a bird beast man but a regular human. And I also ditched the earrings...

High school Ianno was way different from Ianno now, he...looked like a nerd. No seriously, he had glasses and braces; always flamboyant and bubbly. he liked all things nerdy like anime, videogames, dnd.... But he was bullied by his peers. So when entering NRC he changed his looks and personality to one that didn't attract attention.

But deep down Ianno is still a flamboyant nerd at heart, he would act all cold and distant but once you get to know him personally it's like he's a different person.

He hates Kalim because he reminds him of his high school self, he still cringes to this day.

Hates over used jokes and prefer puns like the gentleman he is.

He loves Niege Le Blanc, and Vil due to Rook's influence. He low-key came to NRC because he wanted to meet Vil, he didn't want to transfer to Pomefiore after leaving Savannah claw because he'd be the laughing stock of the dorm...so he chose Scarabia.

Ianno is childhood friends of Ruggie and Rook, he sees Room as an older brother though... And practically begged them not to tell anyone about his high school self.

He and Sebek have this strange rivalry.

Plot relevance:

Book 2:

Ianno is mentioned briefly by Ruggie and Jamil in book 2, with Jamil saying " If I didn't know any better I'd think Ianno was behind this " when talking to prefect and the others, and with Ruggie talking about pinning the blame on him.

Book 3:

Ianno was one of the many people in Azul's dept and where he makes his first appearance in the game. He doesn't play much of a huge roll but help's prefect and the others out, as he and Leona distract Azul as they get the painting.

Book 4:

This is where Ianno play a major roll in this book. He was actually working with Jamil to over throw Kalim, because he was promised the position of vice housewarden when Jamil took over.

When Jamil and Ianno were busted Ianno didn't expect Jamil to overblot, the next he was flinged across the dorm's dimension with the others. When he was ( threatened with a torturous death) asked nicely by Jade and Floyd what the hell was going on his cold calculating persona dropped and starting crying.

He explained that the reason he helped Jamil is because he wanted to be seen as someone useful, someone reliable and didn't know Jamil would go that far to actually kill someone let alone overblot. The others realize that Ianno was also a pawn in Jamil's manipulation just like everyone else.

Ianno wanted to make it up to them and helped them out.

After defeating Jamil and relaxing Ianno apologized profusely, it looks like the cold and calculating Ianno was just a front... In reality he was just a kid trying to fit in but helped by the wrong influence.

Book 5:

Like Jamil, Ianno's reputation was tarnished. I mean, he did help Jamil almost over throw Kalim.

Ianno's cold calculating persona is still there but it would be dropped once in a while when someone would bring up his favorite topics, he would have a sudden burst of energy but quickly mask it as if nothing happens. For example when that commercial of Neige was on Ianno was visibly excited to watch it.

When staying at Ramshackle, he would have a moment with prefect apologizing about the events of book 4, and basically giving them his backstory. He was bullied and seen as a nobody by his peers, and wanted to be somebody; he changed for the people around him and not for himself... being someone who he can't be...who he wasn't.

"My greatest ability is to be anyone who I want to be....but why can't I be myself?"

His own self doubt and esteem caused him to make some bad decisions,( like helping Jamil) afraid to be left out or abandoned by others for not being what they want him to be... but he thanks prefect for helping him on the right track.... He gave them a small hug and went back inside the dorm.

He wanted to join SDC to meet Vil (even thought he could've meet him anytime since they go to the same school.) And would go through the audition, And yeah he basically fanboyed when meeting Vil. He went up to him shaking his hand, crying and wanting him to sign everything he's own, but realizing he was in front of other people he quickly masked that up and apologized to Vil for his out burst.

When the day of the SDC arrived Ianno was self conscious about himself but was assured by Rook that he was doing great. When Vil overblotted we see the first time Ianno uses his unique magic "Mocking Bird" as he turned into Neige to distract Vil.

After dealing with that they finished their performance... And, the votes were in...and it was...Neige, obviously everyone was upset at Rook...(till this day Ianno would never admit he voted for Neige ) that's when Neige showed up and congratulated them, Rook and Ianno were crying when meeting him both fanboying over him.

Book 6:

Ianno was kidnapped with the overblots due to him showing sign of overblot. He mostly just with the overblots in the book, when STYX was in lock down and everyone separated in groups he went with Leona and Jamil while heading down the facility and fighting the titans they would all share stuff about them. Ianno confessed to Leona and Jamil that he wanted to join Pomefiore not Savannah claw or Scarabia, and he's debating to do it when they get back to NRC....

When everyone made it to tartarus to fight Idia and Ortho, Riddle got too close and passed out; he caught Riddle in time but passed out as well. Jamil and Azul carried Ianno and Riddle to safety.

When Ianno woke up he was tackled by Kalim with a hug saying how worried he was for him and Jamil, Ianno found that him and the others were back at school, but his hair was white as well as Riddle's and Vil was old. Malleus soon fixed it, but when turning Ianno's hair back into it's original state he actually removed the dye from his hair turning it back to it's natural hair colour. Malleus offered to change his hair back to it black colour but said, " N..No, I like it this way...it feels....feels like me. "

AHHH IM SO PROUD OF MORRIGAN!!

This was a character I was debating on posting but I love how this came out so imma post them! I used Lilia’s sprite as a base and lengthened his pants, I really liked the details on his uniform pants but didn’t like the length on Morrigan.

Some general information on Morrigan;

They are half fae, half human. It’s belived their mother was a Raven fae.

I kind of wanted to play into that by mimicking the holographic nature of Raven/crow feathers. It’s a little hard to see but instead of making the hair highlights just blue or something, I tried to make it a blue/purple/teal gradient!

Morrigan is also wearing Raven feather earrings, their hair just covers them 🤧

Morrigan is the twisted version of Morgan Le Fay /Morgana from both Sofia the First and Arthurian Legend

Morrigan is genderfluid and has no preference of pronouns given they will change their physical form whenever they want

Originally their name was just Morgan/Morgana, but I didn’t want to just reuse the exact name. When I was looking into similar names I saw that researchers have tried to link The Morrigan and Morgana. Ngl I like the spelling of Morrigan, it looks more magical to me

Morrigan was born in the Kingdom of Swords but was cast out of their kingdom when they were little alongside their younger brother Archer (my Arthur inspired oc) when their uncle usurped the throne.

Morrigan and Archer were separated when they were being sent out of the kingdom. Morrigan would later be found and cared for by Crowley. Archer would be found by Ambrose but is generally looked after by a friend of Ambrose’s

Morrigan’s birth name is Morrigan Caliburnus, though they go by “Crowley” because they were raised by Crowley

Because the siblings were so young, they didn’t know of the other’s existence until Archer began attending RSA.

Morrigan ignored Crowley for two months after finding out about Archer because they were upset that Crowley and Ambrose hid this from them.

Morrigan said they were over the situation pretty early on, but wanted to bully Crowley a little.

Because Crowley seems to love vacationing, I imagine him and Morrigan traveled a lot when Morrigan was young.

Due to this, Morrigan didn’t watch a lot of tv as a kid. They were too busy exploring the towns and cities they would visit.

Morrigan befriended Vil when they were kids. Like Jack, Morrigan didn’t know Vil was a child actor when they met because they didn’t watch TV

When Vil and Morrigan were kids he often mistook Morrigan for a girl because of their more feminine appearance. B/c Morrigan doesn’t take to much stock in how they are viewed gender wise, they never corrected Vil.

Morrigan likes to tease Vil because when they met again at NRC, when Morrigan was a freshman, Vil didn’t recognize them right away.

Morrigan also befriended Silver when they were kids. They had taken one of Crowley’s magic mirrors and traveled to Briar Valley because they were bored.

They ended up meeting Malleus and the others through Silver.

Back then Morrigan thought Malleus and Sebek were “weird” but said that’s what made them interesting to be around.

Morrigan was gifted a small magic mirror by Crowley when they were 16. It was mainly so that Morrigan would stop stealing his mirrors.

The mirror is a small handheld one, think Eve’s mirror from the Descendants movies. The only difference is that Morrigan’s can create portals to places in Twisted Wonderland

Morrigan is in the same class as Harry and Riddle, though didn’t really befriend/interact with them until after Riddle’s overblot

Morrigan is sometimes called lazy because they often don’t like attending classes. In reality they have a really odd sleep schedule and will sometimes stay up for hours exploring campus or reading up on ancient relics leaving them exhausted.

The only reason Morrigan regularly goes to classes even when tired is because Crowley would likely throw a fit if they didn’t.

Morrigan is skilled in magic across the board (they are in Daisomnia after all) but excels in ancient curses. They also love to study ancient relics and artifacts.

Like Malleus, Morrigan founded the “Study of ancient relics” club, though is currently the only member. The activities of the club are pretty self explanatory.

Morrigan is often seen as an intimidating figure like most Daisomnia students. Tack on their relation to Crowley and most stead clear of them.

Because they often wander around campus alone and like to look into ancient relics/spells/artifacts/etc a lot of students who don’t know Morrigan are put off or creeped out by them

However, to those who know them, Morrigan is a friendly and generally good natured person. They have a mischievous and sarcastic personality and are known to tease people they’re close with. It’s kind of like their love language in a way.

They’re pretty charismatic and seem to be friendly to most people they meet when they actually socialise. They enjoy good gossip and can usually be seen gossiping with Rook, and occasionally Harry.

Overall Morrigan is just vibing most of the time lol. They’re just goin with the flow for the most part

Morrigan does, however, have quite a temper and can hold grudges (or appear to hold grudges) for a long time. Their anger usually is rooted in worry for their friends and loved ones; they can be quite protective.

Like I mentioned earlier, they became quite upset when they found out Crowley was hiding the truth about their past/family.

They even ignored Crowley for two months, and while they don’t necessarily hold a grudge anymore they are still a little bitter about it.

Morrigan also seems to hold some animosity or disinterest towards Neige LaBanche, though it seems to be rooted more out of worrie for Vil than anything Neige actually did.

Morrigan has also shown some sense of vanity. While they don’t necessarily care how people view them in regard to gender, they still take pride in their appearance. I like to think this is a trait a lot of Raven fae share to some degree.

One of their pet peeves is when people touch their hair without asking, especially if it’s Crowley

One idea that seems to be spreading amongst Homestuck fans for the newest upd8 and for why Rose has devolved into this jaded nihilistic and surrendered personality is because she never really grew as a character from the retcon.

It’s a nice idea and way better for Rose’s character than just “Vriska fixed everything.” Rose was incapable of learning how to fight an addiction or control her impulses. As a seer of light she can now see the best possible outcome and can use it to manipulate people to get what she thinks is the inevitable event! She can’t fully understand or regulate her ability and has submitted to it, doing what she sees with no ability to change the causes for the effect.

Same with Jade, she never got to socialize with John or learn human interaction or social skills with Davesprite and Nannasprite. She just stayed on a ship alone for 3 years and just met all her friends after their Sburb session after [S] Collide! On earth C she never thought about training herself to understand when someone does or does not consent to her advances and allows herself to be this eternally teenage girl in an adult body.

Dave and Karkat also don’t rectify their feelings and just watch romcoms and argue with each other. All the beta kids and beta trolls had their changes undone for a sweeter and simpler hiatus before executing the perfect plan and winning the game, skipping over character growth.

This was the results of the retcon, this was John’s ultimate sacrifice. Win the game and defeat the ultimate evil only for all his friends to degredate and relapse into their worst behaviors. John gave the universe cancer, not because he rushed the frog breeding oh no, it’s because he destroyed the time loops needed to create Lord English and replaced them with his own stable time loops, which still create Lord English on Earth C, because Lord English is the cancer.

And John did such by saving Vriska, making her the hero to defeat LE, make Dave fight Lord Jack and let Davepeta defeat LE, when it was a hero of hope and time destined to defeat him, not a sprite that’s half time half heart, and a page who knocks him out. Vriska broke the destiny, she also gave Earth C cancer.

There is only one way to solve this.

To be a bit serious, I'm not sure if it would be because of John's Post Retcon actions. How will Meat be any better if this shit is happening to Candy? OOO I CAN DEFINITELY ANSWER THIS!!

My inspiration for Weeping Rosemary was? a bit varied throughout it's creation, since I had first conceptualized it in 2018. I don't recall what led me to it, but I remember first creating Ophelia and drawing her around this time.

Weeping Rosemary was originally a webcomic series, since it was what I knew best and what was easier for me around this time, even though I always imagined it as a game in my heart. However, uni came along and made me too busy to continue it - which, to be honest, might have been a blessing in disguise LMAO

The story of Weeping Rosemary was... not well written at all. Coming out of the hands of a teen who's main consumption of media was edgy horror manga, or really outdated harem anime; the writing of it was so juvenile and cringe ( and not in a 'but free' way! )

As I got older, and my interests expanded, as well as my own growth within myself - it affected a lot of how Weeping Rosemary has changed and developed.

Now, for what inspired - a lot of it is the gothic! And not gothic as in like, the fashion & makeup, etc. ( though I still like these elements a lot ); but the books of gothic novellas! The books that mainly inspired me being:

Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte

The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde

The Bloody Chamber by Angela Carter

And then of course, movies such as Crimson Peak, directed by Guillermo del Toro, and the series Penny Dreadful. They are other media I like as well that have inspired me, but I can't comment solidly as I only know them from an outside POV ( for now ), like Carmilla by Sheridan Le Fanu, and Bram Stoker's Dracula, for example.

I really like sensual ( sexy? ) horror, that does a nice balance of blending in elements of sexuality with terror - and I feel that gothic novellas do a nice balance of this; which is what I plan ( and hopefully succeed ) in with Weeping Rosemary's full game. It's also why WR's horror is not, like, a loud jumpscare horror, moreso than a subtle horror.

As for the creation process - The game production had commenced around February of this year, as it was my final semester as a art student. I had to do a thesis and all I knew was that I realllllly wanted to make a game, but I was unsure of what. I decided to revise and redo Weeping Rosemary, my webcomic, because I felt confident that I could not only give it the writing it deserved, but make into the game I always imagined!

My dear friend & classmate had the program, and she gave me hers, and so I got to work! Weeping Rosemary became my thesis, and I had completed the demo game around?? April 30th?

I'll show in the images below, but I had done a lot of writing; around almost 30 pages of script writing and 5 page outline to hand to my professor so he could see my plan. And then a lot of thumbnail planning and art to make for the CG and sprites! As well as see what art style would suit the game best.

Five Years of Mystic Tsukinami

This August it’ll be five years since I created Mystic’s blog. And since I’ve reached the 500 followers mark not long ago, I thought I’ll compile a few fun facts and others about the blog and how Mystic’s character developed through the years into the rampant, chaotic-horny, grinning Founder you all know today! ✨

Origins

I started this blog in August of 2018 thanks to the encouragement of a good friend and fellow Kino-lover, @munarisblog! I only interacted with the Hispanic community of DL’s fandom at the time, writing in Spanish all the time.

I’m not very sure when, but as friends started being less and less active, I turned to putting out content in English and getting myself out there by sending the first ask/starter to other blogs. Through which I acquired incredibly mutuals and people I very much consider friends today ✨

Designs

The first ever imagery of Mystic’s design I had to show for was manga-clips and Picrew depictions, as it was what everyone was doing back in the day.

The manga clips, I used even up to a few months ago, but the Picrew avatar is very, very old. So, if you recognize it: Congratulations, you’ve been in this hellhole for quite a while LMAO

I later received the opportunity to obtain a proper sprite for Mystic! It being made for me by the talented @/lavendel081 ✨

I believe these were introduced some time in 2018/2019. Don’t quote me on that, though. I’m not quite sure, but pretty confident it was very early on. I’m still greatly thankful to Lavendel for offering to make this sprite of Mystic for me back then.

Moving to the present, summer 2022, I got in contact with Lavendel once more in order to properly commission new sprites for Mystic. The finally product—which, fun fact, were coincidentally done by Mystic’s birthday on the dot lol—are the Mystic you interact with presently.

As for Mystic’s other forms, I’ve only shown his wolf form. Which I will present here in both their past and current versions—

I’m the future, I plan to make (at least) a sprite for Mystic’s owl form :D

Character Development

I was going to say I didn’t mean this as in dumping trauma on him, but that’s a lie lmao

In the beginning, Mystic was very much a flat character with very little interesting attributes to him, besides the fact he was an OC descendant of the Tsukinami. His personality was very much based on Shin’s back then, aside from a few aspects that would be considered extremely out of character today.

Early-Mystic used to be extremely shy and easily flustered, being (and forgive me for the wording lmao) a virgin who had no experience in love whatsoever. That is to say, Kino was his first-everything back in the day. Not to mention, he was your typical prince-boy that never had to lift a hand for why he wanted. That is to say, he was pretty whiny.

The current version of Mystic I have today is the abso-fucking-lutely opposite. Sleeps around, trauma based off past relationships, flirty, emotionally-unavailable, outgoing—you get it.

Not to mention, a lot of his backstory is based off the very vague notes I had of him during his early stages. Back then, I knew he was a prince, but truly had no clue where I was going with the Owl Clan and their lore. What you see today is the most detailed his backstory has ever been.

Routes appearances

Oh my god, I cringe just thinking about it. The very first version I wrote of Mystic’s LE route is very much what I described of his character during early-stages (refer to the inexperienced, easily flustered virgin fellow). It was a mess. He was so boringly weak, I could have made him a human and there (mostly) not had been much difference.

The Mystic I’ve depicted in his (in-progress) Dark Fate route is the kind of character Mystic is presently, and who is much like the canon that should be followed.

This post isn’t all that impressive (I’m still considering making something else that includes my followers/community), but I thought it fun to make something that could trace back to the very beginning. I’m really thankful for those that have been here for a long time, but also you guys that have just arrived months, or even weeks prior.

I’ve met incredibly writers and characters through Mystic, with whom I hope to be able to continue interacting with ^^

Meenah Pyrope: one of the few people of whom he’s actually scared.

[Porrim] Lalonde: has a secret crush on her. It’s one of those things that really reminds you that he’s only 6 sweeps old.

[Latula] Strider: minor pitched feelings because her “rad girl” “gimmick” annoys him.

FarragoFiction Sprite:

Discrepancies between his FF sprite and “canon:”

His horns curl downward at the end, albeit not to the same extent as Damara’s.

Less of his hair is the color of his blood.

Neither of his glasses lenses are “broken,” but the one on his left-hand side has the same covering as canon!Vriska’s used to, albeit with one constant dot in the center (as opposed to the seven on canon!Vriska’s, which only show up when she uses her vision eightfold). Also, there’s less tape holding his glasses bridge together.

Darker eyebags.

He’s missing quite a few teeth. Once the Alpha trolls woke up in the dream bubbles, Meenah punched them out.

Wears his canon shoes (albeit burgundy with jade stripes) and white over-the-knee socks

His shirt is black.

One of the youngest Alpha trolls

Believes in and adores magic with a grublike sense of wonder, but totally lies about it to his friends. He’s bad at that, though, so he just tries not to talk about magic at all.

He really needs braces, but he refuses to wear them. On Beforus, they’re available for the culled (which he isn’t), but on Alternia, they’re only reserved for highbloods (purple and above).

It’s ambiguous if he knew the specific death circumstances that would save himself and the other Alpha trolls from the Scratch, but he sure had fun killing some of his companions. Aranea realized the Scratch loophole in the middle of what he was doing and killed everyone else (admittedly, Eridan only killed, like, three of them).

He’s working for [LE] out of bitterness and a desire to end it all (hence apocalypseApathy), but it has helped him relearn that believing in magic isn’t something of which he should be ashamed.

He uses the ouija fetch modus because it saves him the trouble of thinking about what to retrieve. This is partially because of apathy and partially because it gives him a splitting headache.

He’s a Thief of Time because he ends up giving [LE] access to his time powers (i.e. stealing his teammates’ access to them) for his own selfish reasons.

His left-hand lens fell out once, hence the pseudo-eyepatch.
