Non-verbal learning Disability (NVLD) is a neurological profile where individuals process information primarily through verbal channels, often missing non-verbal cues. Despite the misleading name, people with NVLD are not nonverbal and may not have traditional learning disabilities. Individuals with NVLD tend to be highly detail-oriented, bright, warm, and caring.
The speaker, Marcia Eckerd, emphasizes the importance of recognizing and celebrating neurodivergent individuals like Tim Wal's son.

How to Get a Driver’s License in Canada with a Learning Disability
Introduction:
For individuals with learning disabilities, the process of obtaining a driver’s license in Canada may seem daunting. However, there are accommodations and support systems in place that can help you achieve your goal of becoming a licensed driver.
Tumblr media
Key Points:
1. Understanding Learning Disabilities and Driving Learning disabilities can affect skills such as reading, writing, memory, or processing information. When it comes to driving, these disabilities can make it difficult to read road signs or remember complex driving instructions. However, having a learning disability does not disqualify you from getting a driver’s license.
2. Requesting Accommodations During the Testing Process In Canada, you can request accommodations during both the written and road tests. This may include additional time to complete the written test or the option to have the test read aloud to you. Contact your provincial licensing authority to inquire about the available accommodations.
3. Specialized Driver Education Programs Some provinces offer driver education programs tailored to individuals with learning disabilities. These programs focus on giving you the tools to succeed behind the wheel, including simplified instructions and additional practical driving time.
4. Medical Assessments for Learning Disabilities In some cases, you may be asked to provide documentation of your learning disability. A medical assessment can help determine what accommodations may be needed to help you pass the road test and become a safe driver.
5. Support from Advocacy Groups There are advocacy groups and organizations in Canada that specialize in helping individuals with learning disabilities. They can provide additional resources, guidance, and support throughout the licensing process.

In 1971, the head of state in Romania, Nicolae Ceaușescu and his wife, Elena visited Mao Zedong in China and they were met with an incredible sight.  Everywhere, Chairman Mao was being worshipped, treated with reverence, pushed to an almost God-like status.  For the couple, both born in poverty, the son and daughter of peasants, this was almost too good to be true and they took it to heart. Nicolae wanted so badly to be put on a pedestal, to be glorified by his citizens, and Elena was by his side, whispering in his ear.  Telling him that he deserved to be worshipped, to be in the hall of greats.  His megalomaniac, narcissistic mind started to believe his own propaganda.  Nicolae later became President of Romania and he and his wife spent the next 18 years creating hell on earth for the Romanian people, eventually leading to the genocide of thousands of individuals.

If you were to ask the 91% if the measles outbreak would affect their vote, I would be surprised if any said yes.
People will not learn. So leave them to it.
It's kind of Darwinian.
