Finally got around to making some rares for my modified-themed custom MTG set!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also reworked a common (Eelskin Veil was originally just a reprint of Shore Up) and added flavor text to Forge Spirit and Temple Spirit. If you're wondering about the names of the legendaries, I used a random name generator because I don't like making up proper nouns. That also gave me the name "Jojo" for the enchantment faction's god, so that alone makes it the objectively correct decision.
#original#custom cards#custom magic card#super satisfied with these! just doing some fun stuff that doesn't really fit at uncommon#Withering Skulker and Provoking Trainer force some required reading with cameo keywords so they definitely shouldn't appear frequently#the Punishers are an idea i had WAY back though i didn't remember my original ideas for their secondary abilities#some random legendaries i made up on the spot. could use them for flavor text if i get around to that#they mainly focus on just Doing Things with each color's main theme#except Issy. Issy's a valiant-enabler because black doesn't really have an overarching theme but valiant kinda sorta works#mainly i just had the idea for “any number of target creatures get -1/-0” and was like “oooh yeah that's going on a card”#might move it to a different black rare and make Issy into a valiant payoff instead idk#black's theme is less mechanical and more flavor-wise “power is power. the source doesn't matter”#same with blue really. thus the modified payoff#then green is doing like. body modification or something idk. and a mirrored pair of spirits#Finley and Ricki were inevitable. The Forge and The Temple were always the major conflict of the setting. they needed leaders#though i made the legendary spirits first as artifact/enchantment payoffs so now i was like “shit what do i do with these two?”#figured it out! the spirits have cost reduction and triggers related to artifact/enchantments#while the faction leaders help you cast artifacts/enchantments and also power up artificers/clerics! 'cause they're leaders!#then the 3-colors. originally the Temple God was a creature but now i'm making it more vague if the god really exists#or if his influence is just a manifestation of the people's faith#because the whole thing with spirits is that they're born from people's emotions and stuff. so Jojo might just be a version of that#but no one knows! besides if Jojo is just a really powerful spirit then that's basically a god. but not a natural one#maybe the real Jojo is the plane's magic that turns people's feelings into spirits#anyway! happy with all this! happy to be making magic cards again! woohoo!

𝐈𝐅 𝐘𝐔𝐔 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐀 𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐆𝐎𝐍 🐉🐉
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A dragon is a magical legendary creature that appears in the folklore of multiple cultures worldwide. The Oriental Dragon (also known as the Eastern Dragon) is another one of the world's most commonly known dragons. They are found in folklore, mythology, and religion all throughout East Asia. These dragons all symbolize different things, varying depending on the culture and folklore.
( English is not my first language)
I imagine dragon!yuu having a serpentine since Eastern dragons, also known as Chinese or Asian dragons, typically have long, sinuous bodies, resembling a snake with limbs. their length can vary greatly depending on the context and depiction. While there isn't a standard measurement for these mythical creatures, they are often portrayed as being significantly long, sometimes hundreds of feet in length.
They are covered in fish-like scales, which can vary in color and size depending on the dragon's type and environment. Scales often have a shimmering quality. The underbelly is usually a different color or texture from the rest of the body, often smoother and softer.
Plus their stomach Highly adaptable, capable of digesting almost anything. In some legends, dragons have a second stomach for storing treasure.
Once a month they tend to shed their dried skin into a new lighter and shinier one than before, and they can use the leftover skin to sell for money.
In their human form, I imagine them being able to hide their dragon features from the school. But they can still show their dragon features in human form. Basically its similar to Dan heng and his imbibitor lunae form from HSR
I also imagine them not revealing others about their true identity much later in the storyline, maybe during Leona overblot dragon!yuu reveal their true identity because it takes place in an area that is full of sand.
Before the reveal of their true identity, students and staff believe that dragon!yuu is only able to water magic or they excel at water magic so they use it more often then other forms of magic.
Dragon!yuu are able to use some ancient magic that allows them to control and create space, they use a spell to create their own realm to stay at by putting a symbol on a door or just put a spell on an object that can open as a door like a suitcase, or teapot to build their realm in.
It's basically like the teapot in genshin. A living space for the traveler, inside the teapot is a realm, where dragon!yuu sleeps it's basically a mansion and a large lake nearby, the mansion is newly built for grim or the first year if they want to sleep in the teapot.
Some students would definitely sneak for dragon!yuu help since dragons in some cultures bring good luck and protection, so they have been trying to take advantage of these abilities. Specifically Azul.
Azul would definitely try to convince dragon!yuu to give up their power and give it to him, since dragons in eastern culture are portrayed as very wise, and it's gonna be more complicated.
Since eastern dragons are portrayed as being more connected to water and weather, dragon!yuu would have the ability to manipulate the weather so when they feel down a bit it will start to rain.
I imagine dragon!yuu would be interested in the history of twisted wonderland, Mr trein most favorite students. You can find them browsing the libraries for history. And be interested in collecting items by doing this basically they're preserving those items. In their teapot or a room in ramshackle there's an entire room filled with ancient artifacts, And there's one specific shelf that holds items they received In twisted wonderland, so if they're leaving twisted wonderland the memories of NRC would be preserved in these items.
Dragon!yuu also have the talents of engineering, Crowley commission dragon yuu to create a device that allows them to control the weather,Sometimes dragon!yuu have trouble sleeping so they also create a device that releases a special mist that helps anyone to have a blissful sleep and helps whoever is struggling with sleep.

Hotel del Luna jang man wal x malereader who agrees to be her husband please
FINDING YOU, IN ANOTHER LIFE
JANG MAN WAL X MALE READER
Tumblr media
The wind howled, mirroring the tempest raging within Jang Man-wol’s heart. News of Edo’s demise, a casualty of a senseless war, had shattered her world. The man who had painted her life with hues of love and joy was gone, leaving behind an eternal void.
Grief consumed her, a relentless tide that threatened to drown her soul. She retreated into the solitude of the Hotel del Luna, a sanctuary shrouded in mystery. The hotel, a timeless haven for lost souls, became her prison, a reflection of her own eternal sorrow.
Decades passed, each day a monotonous cycle of longing and despair. The hotel, once a place of vibrant life, now echoed with the silence of the departed. But one day, a disturbance broke the tranquility. A young man, Y/n, appeared at the hotel’s threshold, his presence as unexpected as it was intriguing.
Man-wol, drawn by an inexplicable curiosity, approached the newcomer. As she got closer, she couldn’t shake off the strange sense of familiarity. His features, his aura, reminded her of someone from the past.
"You... you remind me of someone," she murmured, her voice barely a whisper.
Y/n, with a gentle smile, replied, "Perhaps, we're connected in ways we don't yet understand."
As days turned into nights, Man-wol found herself drawn to Y/n. His kindness, his empathy, awakened a part of her that had long been dormant. She saw in him a reflection of Edo, a glimmer of hope in the darkness of her eternal existence.
"You remind me of him," she confessed, her voice trembling. "Someone I once loved, someone I lost."
Y/n listened intently, his heart aching for her. "Perhaps," he said, "our souls are intertwined, bound by a love that transcends time and space."
Man-wol, caught in a moment of romantic reverie, went a step further. "Perhaps we are lovers from another life, destined to find each other again, no matter the time or place," she mused.
Y/n, startled by her declaration, chuckled. "Well, that's quite a theory," he said, a playful glint in his eye. "But for now, I think I'll just settle for a room for the night."
Man-wol, a bit taken aback by his casual response, quickly composed herself. "Of course," she replied, "I'll prepare the best room for you."
Little did Y/n know, the room he was assigned to was Man-wol's personal suite, a place filled with memories, both joyful and sorrowful. As he stepped inside, he was greeted by a luxurious interior, adorned with exquisite furnishings and strange artifacts.
"This is... quite something," he muttered, his eyes wide with surprise.
Man-wol watched him with a knowing smile. "Rest well, young man," she said, her voice filled with a hint of mischief. "You've a long night ahead of you."
Y/n, exhausted from his travels, drifted off to sleep, the soft glow of the room lulling him into a peaceful slumber. However, his tranquility was shattered by a loud crash. Startled, he sat up, his heart pounding.
He heard a rustling sound, followed by a soft, almost ethereal voice. “You’re awake,” a familiar voice purred.
Y/n turned to see Man-wol, looking more enchanting than ever, standing by the window. The moonlit night cast an ethereal glow upon her, making her appear almost otherworldly.
“What was that noise?” Y/n asked, his voice filled with confusion.
Man-wol smiled mysteriously. “Oh, just a little late-night snack,” she replied, gesturing towards a shadowy corner of the room.
Y/n's eyes followed her gaze, and he saw a strange creature, half-human, half-beast, cowering in the corner. It was a gumiho, a legendary nine-tailed fox, and it was terrified of Man-wol.
“Don’t worry,” Man-wol assured the creature, her voice soothing. “He won’t hurt you.”
The gumiho let out a relieved sigh. “Thank you,” it whispered, its voice barely audible.
Y/n was stunned. He had just witnessed a creature from Korean folklore, a creature that was supposed to be myth and legend.
“What is going on here?” he asked, his voice filled with disbelief.
Man-wol smiled. “Welcome to the Hotel del Luna,” she replied. “A place where the extraordinary is ordinary.”
As the night wore on, Y/n learned more about the hotel and its mysterious inhabitants. He discovered that the hotel was not just a place to stay, but a sanctuary for lost souls. Man-wol, as the eternal mistress of the hotel, had the power to help these souls find peace.
Y/n was drawn into this strange, magical world, his heart filled with wonder and curiosity. He realized that his encounter with Man-wol was no mere coincidence. It was fate, a destiny that had been written in the stars.
As days turned into nights, Y/n found himself increasingly drawn to Man-wol and the enigmatic world of the Hotel del Luna. He was fascinated by the stories of the spirits who resided there, each with their own unique tale of love, loss, and longing.
Man-wol, in turn, found solace in Y/n's company. His empathy and understanding helped her to heal the wounds of her past. She began to open up to him, sharing her deepest secrets and fears.
One night, as they sat together on the rooftop of the hotel, watching the stars, Man-wol revealed a shocking truth. "You're not human, Y/n," she said, her voice filled with a mixture of sadness and understanding. "You're a spirit, trapped in this world, just like me."
Y/n was stunned. He had never considered such a possibility. "What do you mean?" he asked, his voice filled with confusion.
Man-wol explained that he had been caught between worlds, a soul tethered to the mortal realm. He was neither living nor dead, a ghost in the machine of time.
Y/n was overwhelmed by this revelation. He had always felt like an outsider, a misfit. Now, he finally understood why. He was a spirit, a wanderer, forever searching for a place to belong.
"Why am I here?" he asked, his voice filled with despair.
Man-wol sighed. "Fate, destiny, call it what you will. You were meant to be here, to find me."
Y/n was silent, processing the information. The world as he knew it had been shattered. He was no longer human, but something else, something beyond his comprehension.
Despite the shock, Y/n found a strange sense of peace. He was no longer alone. He had found someone who understood him, someone who shared his burden. And as he looked into Man-wol's eyes, he knew that together, they would face whatever challenges lay ahead.
Y/n was stunned, his mind reeling from the revelation. He was a spirit, trapped in a timeless existence, bound to the Hotel del Luna. As he processed this newfound reality, a wave of emotions washed over him, a mix of confusion, fear, and a strange sense of peace.
Before he could fully comprehend the situation, Man-wol leaned in and kissed him. In that moment, a flood of memories washed over him, a glimpse into a life he had never lived. He saw himself as a young man, falling in love with a beautiful woman, a woman who bore a striking resemblance to Man-wol. He witnessed their love blossom, their laughter echoing through the ages. But then, the scene shifted, and he saw the woman, heartbroken, mourning the loss of her beloved.
Tears welled up in his eyes as he realized that he was living someone else's life, a life filled with love and loss. Man-wol pulled away, her gaze filled with both sorrow and hope. "I've missed you," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
Y/n was bewildered. He didn't understand the depth of his feelings for Man-wol, nor did he comprehend the strange connection between them. But one thing was certain: he was drawn to her, inexplicably and intensely.
As he looked into her eyes, he saw a love that transcended time and space, a love that had endured for centuries. And in that moment, he began to understand the true meaning of eternity.
The moon cast an ethereal glow upon the ancient cathedral, a place untouched by time. Man-wol, resplendent in a flowing white gown, stood at the altar, her beauty both timeless and ethereal. Beside her stood Y/n, a man caught in the whirlwind of a love story that transcended time and space.
She took his hand, her touch sending a shiver down his spine. "Will you marry me, Y/n?" she asked, her voice soft and gentle.
Y/n was stunned. The question, though unexpected, resonated with a strange familiarity. He thought back to the visions, the fragments of a life he had never lived. A life filled with love, loss, and eternal longing.
A tear rolled down his cheek as he nodded. "Yes," he whispered, his voice barely audible.
Man-wol smiled, a serene expression on her face. She placed a delicate veil over his head, an heirloom from her past. As he donned the wedding suit, once worn by Edo, a sense of destiny washed over him.
The ceremony was a breathtaking spectacle, a fusion of the ethereal and the earthly. The hotel's resident spirits, each with their own unique story, gathered to witness the union of two souls bound by an ancient love.
As they exchanged vows, the air was filled with a palpable sense of love and longing. Man-wol's eyes, filled with a thousand years of sorrow and joy, met Y/n's, a mirror of her own emotions.
"I love you, Y/n," she whispered, her voice trembling.
Y/n, his heart overflowing with love, responded, "I love you too, Man-wol."
And then, they kissed. It was a kiss that transcended time, a kiss that sealed their eternal bond. As they embraced, the world around them faded away, leaving only the two of them, lost in the moment.
The moon shone brightly, illuminating the sacred space. The wind whispered through the ancient trees, carrying with it the echoes of their love story. And as the night deepened, the Hotel del Luna, bathed in a celestial glow, witnessed the birth of a love that would last for eternity.

RAT SONS AU
in which Master Splinter is a wise and silly old tortoise, and father of four skittering, chaotic, ninja rat children. <3
(inspired by that one background moment of the 03 series! 🐢🐀🐀🐀🐀)
there will be lots of similar plot points as the 03 series (like 'tales of leo' and 'good genes' etc etc) but there are also a lot of fundamental changes in the foundation of things too — like the guardians and ninja tribunal and the hamato family line etc etc. content wise tbh its probably mostly just gonna be snapshots of random moments throughout the boys lives, but i do kinda have some plot concepts? so we'll see 👀
(embarrassingly long) introduction under the cut if u'd like to read!
——————————————
Years ago, Oroku Saki defeated Hamato Tang Shen in battle, and finally brought an end to the family that would deny him his power. He ordered her homestead be razed to the ground, and all mystic artifacts to be delivered to him. Particularly, the Hamato’s prized pet tortoise, which was rumored to be itself a conduit for the family’s legendary mystic abilities. With the creature in his possession, along with the new rapid-enhancement chemical he commissioned from laboratory familiar with mystic properties in New York — at last, he would be granted his godhood, and guarantee the legacy of his fathers clan. The Hamatos could deny him no longer. He had won.
Or he would have, had the fools at the lab not ruined everything, the precious mutagen spilling all over the tortoises crate and the fool handlers who carried it. The contaminated men morphed into horrific, animalistic monsters, attacking the scientists and wrecking the laboratory itself. And, most crucially, in the ensuing madness, the crate which contained the tortoise, his last possible connection to the Hamato’s power, lay shattered, and empty…
Meanwhile, Hamato “Splinter” Yoshi, who until this point had quite enjoyed his extended existence as a simple tortoise and family pet, found himself fleeing the eyes and hands of the man who killed his human family, and the lab that granted him this new shift in consciousness, to instead face the terrifying chaos of the streets and alleys of NYC. His transformation into something more bipedal had hurt considerably and left him aching and disoriented, but still he could not pause. He could not falter. Not until he found somewhere safe to hide himself and the four squirming, impossibly small rat-pups in his arms. He hoped the chemical that washed over them had not warped and hurt their young bones as it had his own. He hoped he could find somewhere safe to care for them. He hoped they could survive the night without their mother. He hoped, he prayed he could protect these precious, squeaking, peach-fuzzed ruminants of his family. He did not think he could survive any more loss.
For now, he would do what he could, and slip into the shadows of this city. Having lived so long among ninjas had its benefits there, at least.

The Outline:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media

Text under Read More:
The Great Cities Waterdeep, once the City of Splendors, is now the City of Eternal Twilight. Its towering spires remain, but they're twisted and warped, having grown like pale coral over thousands of years of wild magic exposure. The city exists in layers - the deepest parts still contain functioning Undermountain technology, while the surface is a maze of crystallized buildings where masked nobles maintain a mockery of the old customs. Baldur's Gate has become a titanous mechanical city-state, burning the corpses of the dead in enormous furnaces to maintain warmth as the sun dies. The Sword Coast itself is no longer recognizable as a coast - the sea has partially crystallized into a sheet of black glass that occasionally liquefies without warning.
The Nature of Magic As the sun dims, magic has become more visceral and dangerous. The Weave has partially collapsed, creating "knots" of wild magic that float like spectral tumors across the landscape. Spellcasting requires blood sacrifice or the burning of valuable materials - the age of casual magic is long gone. Many spellcasters have resorted to binding fragments of dying gods into their flesh to maintain their powers. The color of magic has changed too - most spells manifest in blacks, grays, and pale blues, as if the magic itself is suffering from cosmic frostbite.
The Old Pantheons The gods are dying, but cannot truly die. They exist in a state of perpetual agony, their essence crystallizing into god-shards that fall from the sky like meteors. Some gods have merged together in desperate attempts to survive - Lathander and Kelemvor are now one entity, a terrible thing that represents both dawn and death, neither of which have meaning anymore. Mystra's death long ago caused the initial collapse, but her essence still pervades reality like a virus, causing spontaneous magical mutations.
Survival Methods People cluster around "hearth-crystals," shards of the original sun that still emit weak heat and light. Communities are usually small, heavily fortified, and deeply suspicious of outsiders. Many have resorted to consuming the flesh of magical creatures to survive, leading to widespread mutations. Water must be thawed before drinking, and most food is grown in underground fungal gardens. Some communities have turned to worshipping the machines left behind by the gnomes and artificers of old, maintaining ancient technologies they barely understand.
Monsters and Creatures Most of the iconic D&D monsters have evolved or devolved into horrific new forms. Dragons are blind, pale things that nest in thermal vents, having lost their color affiliations millennia ago. Mind Flayers have returned from the far realm, but they're different now - more mechanical, having fused with ancient Netherese technologies. Beholders have multiplied and shrunk, becoming swarms of floating eyes that serve as organic surveillance systems for the larger settlements.
The Planes The planar boundaries have grown thin and unstable. The Shadowfell is slowly merging with the Material Plane, while the Feywild has become a frozen wasteland of eternal twilight. Fragments of other planes occasionally crash into the material world, creating zones where reality behaves according to alien rules. The Nine Hells have frozen over, and demons now seek warmth in the material plane, sometimes offering their essence as fuel for the desperate.
Ancient Artifacts The legendary artifacts of the past have grown in power as the world dies. The Blackstaff has become a living entity that consumes its wielders. The Ring of Winter is sought after not as a weapon, but as a tool of mercy - it can grant final death to those who otherwise would live forever in the twilight. Many new artifacts have been created from the crystallized remains of gods, each carrying a fraction of divine power and madness.
SITUATION A hearth-crystal powering the settlement of Coldhearth is dying. The crystal's dimming has caused panic among the inhabitants, who know they have perhaps two weeks before the cold claims them. However, the local Crystal-Speaker has had a vision - one of the dying gods, a merged aspect of Gond and Oghma called the Brass Scholar, is falling from the heavens. Its crystallized divine essence could serve as a new hearth-crystal, if it can be claimed. Unfortunately, others have sensed its imminent arrival too - including the machine-cult of Baldur's Gate and a desperate band of god-flesh scavengers.
SETTING Coldhearth sits in what was once a coastal village near Waterdeep, though the black glass sea is now several miles away. The settlement is built into and around an ancient lighthouse, its beacon replaced with the current (dying) hearth-crystal. The surrounding area is a wasteland of crystallized trees and frozen earth, with occasional patches of liquidized ground where wild magic has temporarily thawed reality.
The nearby "Shattershore" - where the black glass sea begins - is a maze of geometric shapes and broken reflections. The glass occasionally liquefies without warning, swallowing the unwary. Scavengers risk these dangers to harvest valuable resources from ancient ships trapped within the glass. Several miles inland lies the ruins of a pre-twilight trading post called Wayward's Rest, now home to a colony of devolved mind flayers who trade memories for warmth.
The predicted impact site of the falling god-shard lies in the Thornmaze, a crystallized forest where the trees have grown into impossibly sharp geometric patterns. The local mutation-touched say the trees still grow, just too slowly for normal eyes to see. The maze is home to various geometric predators - creatures that have adapted to move and hunt along perfectly straight lines and right angles.
CAST The Settlement of Coldhearth Vara Nightbridge, Crystal-Speaker and unofficial leader. Her eyes have been replaced with shards of a fallen god, allowing her to see divine essence. She speaks in temperatures rather than words. Ghkss the Thawed, a mutation-touched merchant whose flesh periodically liquefies. He maintains the settlement's fungal gardens and knows more than he shares. Pock, a child who never seems to feel the cold. The other children follow her lead, and she knows all the settlement's secrets.
The Machine-Cult of Baldur's Gate Archimandrite Kex, a cyborg priestess who has replaced her blood with heated oil. She leads the local machine-cult expeditions. Brother-Operator Finn, a former street thief who maintains the cult's warmth-engines. He's secretly planning to steal the god-shard for himself.
The God-Flesh Scavengers The Twins, Voss and Vess, who share a single mutation-touched body but alternate control. They're known for eating anything that glows. Skrike, their enforcer, who has bound frozen demon-flesh to his bones. He can only move in straight lines but hits like a runaway cart.
INITIAL CONDITIONS The hearth-crystal is dimming noticeably each day. The settlement's outer rings have already been abandoned as the warmth recedes. Most residents have crowded into the lighthouse proper, creating tensions and using up stored resources faster than anticipated. The Crystal-Speaker's vision has given hope, but also attracted unwanted attention from outside groups.
The machine-cult has already established a forward camp near the Thornmaze, using salvaged warmth-engines that leave trails of black smoke. The god-flesh scavengers are more mobile, using trained geometric predators as mounts to patrol the crystallized forest's edge.
The god-shard is due to impact in approximately ten days. The cold is getting worse. Strange lights have been seen in the Thornmaze, suggesting the area's wild magic is intensifying in anticipation of the divine arrival.
GOALS Vara Nightbridge seeks to save her people and maintain order during the crisis. Ghkss wants to preserve his secret collection of pre-twilight artifacts, even at the cost of lives. Pock intends to lead the other children to safety if the adults fail. Archimandrite Kex plans to use the god-shard to create a new type of warmth-engine. Brother-Operator Finn dreams of becoming a god himself by consuming the shard. The Twins aim to feed the god-shard to their geometric mounts, believing it will create perfect predators. Skrike simply wants enough divine essence to fix his condition.
TOOLS/RESOURCES Vara has her god-shard eyes and the loyalty of most settlers. Ghkss maintains a hidden cache of thawed water and preserved food. Pock knows secret ways through the Thornmaze. Archimandrite Kex commands several warmth-engines and trained technicians. Brother-Operator Finn possesses a pre-twilight device that can supposedly contain divine essence. The Twins control a pack of geometric predators. Skrike has demon-enhanced strength and durability.
SAMPLE SOLUTIONS Navigate the Thornmaze using Pock's knowledge, reach the impact site first, and defend it until the god-shard arrives. This requires surviving the geometric predators and wild magic surges.
Ally with Brother-Operator Finn, use his device to safely contain the god-shard, then betray him before he can consume it. This means dealing with both the machine-cult and his personal ambitions.
Convince the Twins to help clear a path through the Thornmaze using their geometric predators, then deal with their inevitable betrayal at the impact site.
Use Ghkss's secret resources to outlast the other factions, letting them fight among themselves before claiming the god-shard from the survivors.
Negotiate with the mind flayers at Wayward's Rest, trading memories for their help in securing the god-shard. This is risky but could provide a significant advantage over other factions.

💎 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺! Crown of the Cursed King
Wondrous item, legendary (requires attunement) ___ This tarnished crown was originally worn by a maddened king, whose hunger for power could seemingly not be stopped. Only with old age was his reign brought to an eventual end, at which time all symbols of his power were systematically destroyed, including this crown. However, his malevolent spirit remains in the form of magical strands of force that hold its pieces together—a lasting sign of his unwillingness to cede his rule. The crown has the following properties. 𝘾𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚 𝘽𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙬𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩. While wearing this crown, you can use an action to touch a creature and cast the "bestow curse" spell on it from the crown (save DC 16). If you hit a creature with a melee attack, you can cast the spell on that creature in this way (as if you were touching it) before the end of your next turn. You must be able to see the creature. 𝘾𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣. While wearing this crown, any curse affecting you is suppressed. For each suppressed curse, you gain a +1 bonus to any attack roll, ability check, or saving throw you make (up to a maximum bonus of +3). Your attunement to a cursed magic item can't be ended voluntarily unless the curse is broken first, even if its effects are suppressed by the crown. Curses from an artifact can't be suppressed in this way. 𝙍𝙪𝙡𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙄𝙧𝙤𝙣 𝙁𝙞𝙨𝙩. While attuned to the crown, your Strength and Charisma scores each increase by 2, up to a maximum of 22. 𝘾𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚. This crown is cursed, and becoming attuned to it extends the curse to you. The effects of this curse aren't suppressed by the crown's Curse Suppression, but nevertheless contribute to the bonus you gain as part of that property. You are immune to the effects of "remove curse" while wearing the crown. While cursed, you gain the following flaw: "I am always in danger of losing everything. I must ensure my legacy is preserved." In addition, you are unwilling to part with the crown, wearing it atop your head at all times. It can't be removed from your head against your will. ___ ✨ Patrons get huge perks! Access this and hundreds of other item cards, art files, and compendium entries when you support The Griffon's Saddlebag on Patreon for less than $10 a month!

#custom cards#custom magic card#also using the new Foundations templating for “this permanent” and using the short version of legendary creature names#Rexalg didn't originally have exploit but it's a creature that sacrifices a creature when it enters so i threw it on#“Death on Golden Wings” was an evidence card in a forensics segment and the name was so good i wanted to make it a magic card#i had the same urge with “Dominant Dust” for a different reason but it wasn't inspiring enough#like seriously. “Death on Golden Wings”. that's badass#i wanted to make a Twisted Rosalia card but it feels kinda generic#just kinda random bad stuff happening to the opponent#the main thing i wanted to do is highly encourage enchantment removal#if you let the enchanted creature die then you get hit with another trigger and then ANOTHER trigger when TR itself dies#but if you just Disenchant the TR while it's an aura you'll be safe AND save the creature#and of course the stabilizer syringe#not sure if it's actually good but the best comparison i could find was Urza's Mine Worker which is a 2-drop so it's probably decent#in other news wow there were a lot of really shitty lifegain artifacts back in the day#also repeatedly gaining 3 life does not seem to be a thing that wotc wants to do. for obvious reasons. so hopefully the stabilizer is broke#“recover a little bit of health” doesn't sound that powerful until it's free and repeatable and barely takes any time. true in both games#also there is currently 1 singular doctor that's from an actual set: Cult Healer#ka asks
