What road will your life lead you down? Will you grow up to be what you want or say you want to be, or will life’s twists and turns lead you down a different path.

Will you achieve what you want or say you want to achieve by a certain time in your life; or will your dreams fall by the wayside?

How many times will you relive the same trials in your life? Will you continue to fall into life’s traps or will you get up and do better next time?

There are so many roads to take and so many choices to make. No one ever gets everything in their lives the way that they want it.

Life is like a child learning what to do and what not to do. Life like us has to grow up and learn its rules and limitations on how far to go and how to get there.

One of your recent blogs mentioned EMDR. I felt I could relate with some of what you wrote, but what is EMDR? Sorry for being uninformed.

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, and it’s a type of psychotherapy that some people find particularly useful for overcoming trauma. It uses rapid eye movement (or other bilateral stimulation, I use hand buzzers) to get both sides of the brain to work together and process distressing events and memories.

Yoga is increasingly used as a therapeutic treatment. Bassel van Der Kolk quote resonates so much wisdom in understanding PTSD for me. “As long as you keep secrets and suppress information, you are fundamentally at war with yourself”. Yoga allowed me to go inward to look at those secrets. I can only speak for me. But no matter what study concludes Yoga was fundamental in my healing. Becoming aware of my body’s sensations taught me how to respond to situations and form new pathways. Trauma is inevitable but our response can be learned. The mind body connection is real. Not many men have made great impacts in my life... Not ones that truly stuck anyways. Yet this man gave me hope that not all men were like my father, scared little boys who couldn't over come their fears. He taught me how to be kind, gentle, compassionate, patient, and above all empathetic... Always putting myself in others shoes. Respect myself, but also make sure that everyone else around me has an opportunity to be loved the way that they deserve. It hurts that you are gone from this world, but it makes me happy that you can finally breathe... The dust of the coal you mined still settles, now the DMT rushes and you can finally see the fractals of the universe the way they were meant to be seen. And maybe it's true what they say? It's just darkness. Or maybe, as crazy as it sounds, we are all one... Maybe there is no space and time and we are sent back to live another life, one of the many we've crossed before, because we must walk in every man, woman, and child's shoes... As so many of jou, i came in here achter the crime scène watch on Netflix. Altho to be honest i was before this, the jou tube video from Mike, wich jou also see in the crime scène miniserie. It is sad that people dont or hardly look to his or hers surroundings, and specially the people in it. From the Netherlands i hope Elisa is resting in peace.
