I've had people ask this before for each character, so I'll do all three here! These are choices I made based off a list of past animated Disney films; there could be deeper meaning, there might not!

Thinking about Mass Effect, as you do, and how I'm kind of sad that the way it's been engraved in pop culture has more to do with the way internet reacted to it at the time than what the actual game is about. Yes sure, it's about romance (and not that much all things considered) and it's pulpy (but not solely because of hot lady aliens), but it's also intricate worldbuilding that touches on a lot of sharp ideas, and a complicated tug-of-war between a genuine and vulnerable belief in reconciliation and community VS post 9-11 US military propaganda and steadfast belief in heroic exceptionalism, and the melancholic yet energizing mood, and the daring narrative systems, and so so much more than the 'We'll Bang OKs" and the "There's No Shepard Without Vakarian" and the whole ME3 ending situation

It's all there, but I'm sad the impact of the series is often reduced to (what I think is) the least interesting parts of its sum

sorry im still so fucking unwell about the bingge vs bingmei extra. not only did he get this little glimpse into a world where he's loved, but he goes home with evidence of it on him -- the disciple robes, and the little braid sqq sneakily put in his hair. can you imagine bingge going back to his world and realizing there's a delicate little braid in his hair, put there by the shizun that loved him and treated him tenderly. im going to eat gravel.

Smiler: I have! Don't worry, it's really easy -- the usual way you play it is that you hold up both of your hands with fingers spread, and everyone takes a turn saying something they've never done. Everyone who has done the thing has to tuck in a finger, and the game keeps going until there's only one person left with any fingers out.

Alice: Oh, all right, that's easy enough. And it sounds like in the board game version, you get to move forward a space if you haven't done the thing, and whoever reaches the end is the winner?

I've been thinking about it for a long time. What if, instead of M.C/Firefly…the one who ends up in the middle of the woods is Vida??? like, while searching for Laika. LIKE, WOULD VIDA AND MYCHAEL BE FRIENDS??? WOULD MYCHAEL FALL FOR THEM LIKE HE DID FOR M.C/FIREFLY??

Ooh, now this is a fun ask! I had someone ask something similar in the past but can't seem to find it, but overall if it was Vida they'd be a bit more cowardly and skeptical towards Mychael, which in turn will cause Mychael to be cautious as well. This matches a previous ask (No. 3) I've answered before.

TLDR; they both would be wary of each other and not interact for long before Mychael sends them home. Long answer below:

Where Firefly was a bit more accepting with Mychael's quirks, Vida is a bit more closed off with strangers (they rarely have good experiences with people approaching them first). They wouldn't accept Mychael's excuses as easily for how he looks and raises his caution to the point he'd use his ability to lower their guard just to make it through the first night.

I highly doubt he'd even reveal his eyes to Vida upon a first meeting.

So it'd be closer to a typical interaction with Mychael and other lost folks where Mychael fixes them up and sends them home, unlike treating them to dinner like they did with Firefly, who he took a liking to.

If they were to be friends, I think they'd really get along though! They just have to overcome that first hurdle of realizing they're safe with each other hahaha.

To me, I'm stuck on the audioplay voice actor for Sifo-Dyas in Dooku: Jedi Lost sounding exactly like an American attempting to do a fake-pseudo-British-generic-fantasy-LARP accent and it messes with me so much when I'm writing his dialogue
