Reasons I should be a lighthouse keeper:

• Work best when left to my own devices and wouldn’t have to talk to anyone

• If anyone comes to my lighthouse and is rude to me I can tell them to fuck off and not get in trouble for it

• Already have a fucked up sleep pattern, don’t mind staying up all night

• Gets very excited when given a torch (flashlight)

• Often forget to take my meds and that wouldn’t impact the job bc people already assume lighthouse keepers are crazy

• Really enjoy being erratic and unpredictable

• Want to start exercising more but also don’t like leaving my house, which is perfect because I wouldn’t need to leave my lighthouse to exercise because of the stairs

Reasons why I maybe shouldn’t be a lighthouse keeper:

• Can’t swim :// thats okay I just won’t fall in :3

• Don’t eat fish (actually could be allergic to some fish and I wouldn’t even know)

• Sometimes my leg really hurts and I can’t walk on it - can just hop up the stairs though in that case

• Don’t actually know what being a lighthouse keeper entails, just want a job where I don’t interact with strangers irl

Keeper -- a short comic about an angel meeting a robotic lighthouse keeper that doesn't know the world has already ended. Made in about 18 hours for a 24-hour 24-page* black and white comic challenge (that I arrived late to, ha.)

*the actual submission does not include the cover, which was created after the fact for this post.

This was a really great learning experience as someone who's... never really made a completed comic. I ended up really attached to the story by the end of the project (possibly due to all-nighter deliriousness lol) and ultimately am very proud of what I made.There are some things I'd still like to change, particularly text placement, but in keeping with the spirit of the challenge I've elected to leave it as is.

the lesson you get from the flashbacks of edwin and charles' deaths is that hate crimes are real and the suffering they cause had been getting overlooked for over a century.

that there's still people dying like that somewhere, and there's people, young people, that are going to die believing that they didn't matter.

Okay, so we know that Charles' polo goes red>burgundy>black and back by the end of the season.

Because there's so much going on, I always missed the exact transitions. This time I specifically tracked them down. (Apologies if this has already been done.)

Charles shirt is bright red through the majority of the Devlin House, even in Hope's Diary scene, when he opens up to Crystal.

Even when he first swings at Mr. Devlin and gets knocked back, his shirt is red.

The very subtle shift to burgundy is after he disappears and first reappears in the loop.

It remains burgundy throughout the entire lighthouse leapers episode and beginning of the two dead dragons.

I finally realized the very last moment we see of Charles in the burgundy is with Crystal. She tells him after the confusing makeout night, "But I think we should be friends," and kind-hearted Charles, of course, respects that and puts on a friendly smile.

It's difficult to see in the next scene with him because of his jacket, the angle he sits at on the ladder, and the lighting, but it's immediately after that when we first see him in the black polo.

My brother in death, you are NOT doing well.

His shirt is still black during the "I don't wanna be a bad guy" scene.

After Edwin's affirmation of Charles' inherent goodness, it is directly after this scene that the shirt goes back to burgundy!!!

He's still wearing the burgundy during the confession:

BUT IT GOES BACK TO BRIGHT RED LITERALLY RIGHT AFTER EDWIN'S CONFESSION AND THEY ESCAPE HELL TOGETHER!

Yo I equally love Cryland and Payneland but the show canonly said "Crystal hit him in the loneliness and Edwin hit him in the loved"

Massive Monster just released a goat and it's so fun watching all the AU artists and authors try to figure out what the fuck they're gonna do with this weird goat that just showed up

current climate seems to be about half are characterising the goat the same as the lamb, confusing the cat in the process.

half are characterising the goat opposite to the lamb and thereby utterly shocked at what the lamb and the cat get up to.

and a secret third half are making the lamb and the goat smooch.

I've probably missed a huge amount of nuance and I'm excited to see how other people plan on dealing with this new purple wrench in the plot.
