omg re your angsty fic idea
DOES TONY COME BACK WRONG? or does tony come back right and steve is the one who's all wrong?? i'm kicking the ceiling
i think tony comes back wrong but in the sense that he was finally able to rest, only to have that ripped away from him as he's transported back to the land of the living. i think steve tries to move on and even makes some progress (*cough* suppression *cough*) but as soon as he sees tony again, alive and literally gift-wrapped by the infinity stones, all of those emotions come rushing back.

Nats daughter is going on her first mission and it doesn't go well. She's hurt and lost somewhere until Nat finds her and brings her back home

Natasha was beside herself with worry. Her one and only baby girl off on her first solo mission. You’d been arguing with her for weeks, trying to convince her you were ready. It was only natural that she was worried but you had gone through the academy training just like everyone else. Natasha finally agreed to let you go when she sat in on your training session with Steve and you managed to knock him on his ass three times. You left a few hours ago and so far Nat had tried training, reading and even resorted to doing her paperwork to keep her distracted. She was in her office now, trying her best to keep her eyes off the clock.
It was quiet in Natasha’s office, so the sound of her mobile ringing took her by surprise. An unknown number appeared on the screen so Nat was skeptical about answering. She brought the phone up to her ear whispering a hello and listening to the crackle coming from the other end. “Hello?” Natasha asked again, being met with the same silence. She was about to hang up when a small voice called through “mama?” It whispered. “Y/n?” Natasha said, pulling the phone back up to her ear “baby are you okay?” She asked with a panicked voice. “Hurts mommy” you mumbled “what hurts baby? What’s happened where are you?” Natasha frantically asked as she made her way to find Tony and the rest of the team. “Lost” you coughed through the phone.
Natasha came bounding down the stairs where she met Clint and Steve in the kitchen. “Natasha?” Clint said, seeing the fear in his best friends eyes. “Y/n baby talk to me, where are you? What hurts?” The redhead said as she dragged the boys down the hall with her. “I don’t know mama” you cried as Natasha switched her phone to loud speaker “baby have you activated your tracker?” Your mom asked as Clint filled Tony in best he could of the situation. “Lost it. I’m scared mommy” you mumbled. “It’s alright sweetie we’re gonna find you I promise” Natasha cooed down the phone. “Stark where is she?” Steve asked as he joined Tony at the computers. “I’m not sure, somewhere in Bulgaria” he said. “How can you not know where?” Steve said frantically “it’s not standard procedure only Fury knows the exact location” Tony said, trying his best to hack into S.H.I.E.L.Ds files as quickly as possible. “Then call Fury!” Clint shouted.
You began coughing loudly over the phone “mommy” you cried. “It’s okay baby girl take some deep breaths for me alright we’re gonna find you” Natasha said as calmly as she could. Tony continued to scan the files as Steve headed off to gather the rest of the team and prepare the quinjet. “Mm tired” you said through the phone “y/n I need you to stay awake for me okay sweetheart” Natasha said, fighting back her tears. “Y/n?” She questioned when you failed to answer her “y/b baby talk to me” she pleaded. “Tony find her now!” Clint shouted, taking the phone from Nats hand “y/n its uncle Clint, can you tell me where you are? What’s around you bug?” He asked, pleading for you to respond. The silence was deafening as the three waited desperately for your voice to come back through the phone. “She’s in Yambol!” Tony cheered as he finally cracked your location “okay Steve’s on the jet let’s go” Clint said. “She’s dead I know she is” Natasha cried “hey don’t go there yet, we’re gonna find her” Clint comforted as he guided the redhead to the jet.
~~~~~
It felt like weeks you had been lying in the grass, the sharp pain had long ago turned into a dull ache and you were struggling to keep your eyes open. Your cries fell into the open space and you fought to keep your breath, the warm pool of blood being the only thing keeping away the cold. “Mom” you whined into the empty space, pleading for your mother to come and find you. You held on for as long as you could until your eyes finally fluttered closed. In your last consciousness your ears began to ring, sounding like a small crunch of leaves along the ground. Your mind started playing tricks on you, the sound of your mom calling echoing through your head.
Your shoulders began to shake and a soft hand against your cheek pulled you back into reality. “Y/n come on open your eyes baby” a familiar voice called. “Mommy?” You mumbled as you pealed open your eyes “I’m here sweetie, mamas got you” Natasha cooed as she lent over you protectively. “You found me” you smiled up at your mom “yeah we did baby” Nat said as she gently stroked your hair “we?” You sleepily asked. “Hey kid” Clint said as he came to your side and began tending to the open wound on your abdomen “we’re gonna get you home alright” he said. You groaned as your uncle pressed down on your injury, quietly crying out in pain. “Shhh sweet girl it’s ok, you’re okay now” Natasha comforted you “thought I was gonna die mama” you weakly said.
Natasha lent her body down beside yours to give you a tight hug, avoiding your wound “oh my baby I’m so sorry” she said. “I should never have let you come this is all my fault” your mom cried. You slowly reached up your hand to wipe away your mamas tears “no mommy” you whispered “you saved me” Natasha took your hand in hers and gently kissed it. You cried out again as Clint pressed down on your abdomen “sorry kiddo” he empathised “so tired” you groaned, eyelids fluttering closed “no no come on sweetie keep your eyes open for us ok” Natasha pleaded “you’re gonna be alright baby we’re gonna get you home” your mom cooed. You tried to keep your eyes open but being back in your mamas arms you couldn’t help but bask in her comfort. Before long you lost the battle, falling into unconsciousness. “we need to get her to the jet” Clint said to Natasha.
~~~~~
You felt a gentle scratch along your scalp as you began to wake up, unsure of where you were and almost who you were, until you opened your eyes. “Hey baby girl” Natasha said as she rose to her feet by your side. Her red hair was messy with loose pieces falling by her face, the bags under her eyes were a give away as to how long you had been out. “Mommy” you croaked out “you look tired” you said. Natasha let out a small laugh as a stray tear fell from her eye “oh y/n, I’m okay I promise, you’re the one who needs looking after right now” she said “we look after each other mama” you smiled, attempting to sit up but stopping as a sharp pain shot through your abdomen, reminding you off why you were in the infirmary. You sighed loudly as Natasha softly took a hold of you “easy baby, just lie back ok” she said as she helped you to lay back down “you get some rest ok, we’ll talk later when you’re properly awake” your mom said as she placed a soft kiss on your forehead.
It was a few hours later when you woke up again, your mom still sitting by your side. “There’s my girl” Natasha said “look who’s here to see you” she said as she pointed to the man on the other side of your bed. “Uncle Clint” you smiled “thanks…for what you did” you said sadly “hey none of that” Clint said as he saw your eyes well up “don’t you dare go blaming yourself kiddo, missions go wrong, whatever happened wasn’t your fault” he said. “It was” you cried “what did happen sweetie?” Your mom asked. “The brief said the facility was abandoned, but when I got there it was crawling with agents” you began, your mom placed a comforting hand over your own. “I set off the alarm trying to get in through the back door, I tried to get away and I thought I’d managed but when I stopped in the woods an agent came up behind me. I didn’t think he had any weapons so I fought him without mine but he pulled out a knife. I fell down when he cut me and I thought he was gonna kill me but they called him back to the facility” you sobbed.
Natasha felt the anger rise in her chest “the brief was wrong?” She asked “imma kill Fury” she said, answering her own question. “Mommy don’t go” you called after her as she headed for the door. “I’ll go, you stay here” Clint said as he guided Natasha back over to your bed “you’re not as scary as me” she giggled as she sat back down with you “no” Clint said “but the least I can do is warn Fury of angry mama Nat” he said as he pulled the door closed. Your mom turned her full attention back to you as she sat next to you on the bed “I’m here baby girl” she cooed “it wasn’t your fault ok” she said as she brushed your hair away from your face. You dropped your gaze, still feeling guilty despite what Natasha said. “Hey” your mom said as she lifted up your chin “I am so proud of you” she said “why? I failed” you whimpered. “I’m not talking about the mission, I’m proud of you y/n” Natasha said, leaving a soft kiss on your hairline.
“How did you find me?” You sleepily asked “Tony hacked into S.H.I.E.L.Ds data base” Natasha said. “He did?” You questioned “yeah he did” Nat answered “everyone was so worried “I’ve never seen Bruce move so fast” your mom giggled. You let out a small laugh at the thought. “I didn’t think they’d all come” you said “I knew you’d find me mama but I didn’t think everyone else would come to get me” you mumbled, almost falling asleep again. “They’re your family baby, of course they’d come” your mom cooed “you know they care about you right?” Natasha asked “I know” you smiled up at her “you’ve got a whole army of love and protection behind you y/n, don’t ever forget that” Nat said as she tucked you up in your baby blanket, she made sure you had it the second the team brought you to the medical bay. “Rest up okay baby” your mom cooed. “Can you read to me mommy? Please?” You asked with half closed eyes. “You never have to ask twice sweetie” Natasha said as she pulled your book from her bag, another essential she’d grabbed along with your blanket. Her soft voice lulled you into a comfortable and deep sleep. The deepness with which she spoke her words causing a gentle hum throughout the room. Your mom continued to read long after you had fallen asleep, comforting both you and herself.

Broken - final part
Summary: The wait for Bucky's trial is finally over.
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Female Reader
Warnings: Minimal use of Y/N. Language. Innocent and broken Bucky. Mentions of Bucky's past and nightmares. A lot of fluff. My poor attempts at being funny.
Word Count: 3K
A/N: this is the last part of this story! I had originally planned on making it much longer but I honestly didn't have many ideas to go on, so I decided to use the ideas I did have and end it there. So here it is, hope you like it!
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5

Tumblr media
Slowly you start to forgive the team, starting with Peter that came to you one afternoon handing you some flowers and a teddy bear as an apology and making your heart melt. How can you stay mad at such a sweet boy?
After about a month you're back on speaking terms with everyone, except Steve and Tony.
For some reason you can't get over the fact that they started the whole civil war and were the ones to decide to cut you out of it.
Everyone tried to make you see things from their side, even Thor and Bruce that were back from New Asgard along with Loki, who couldn’t care less about the whole situation but kind of enjoyed the chaos.
After that night with Bucky’s nightmare you talked more about pretty much any subject, and he came to you everytime he needed comfort.
Bucky also isn't able to keep his hands to himself anymore, not that you mind, a feat that did not go unnoticed by the team.
You never miss the knowing looks they give each other every time Bucky hugs you or randomly grabs your hand.
Even though you couldn't bring yourself to forgive Steve yet, you start being around him more and more especially after Bucky asked you to start coming with him to his meetings with Fury.
The closer it gets to his hearing, the more touchy Bucky seems to be with you, as if his hands on you is the only thing that keeps him grounded to reality.
The day before his hearing Bucky can't get himself away from you, following you everywhere since you woke up in the same bed, a thing that started to happen more and more every time he had a nightmare.
Some nights going as far as going to sleep directly in your room without even stepping foot in his.
Steve bides his time the whole day, trying to choose his moment, which came in the early afternoon when you left Bucky on Scott's floor with Cassie while you went to yours to get some Pop Tarts for Cassie since, not surprisingly, Thor finished the ones in their kitchen.
Scott thought that spending time with Cassie, which Bucky has come to be very fond of, would help the super soldier take his mind off the trial, and he was right.
When you get to your floor, and Steve sees you're alone, he doesn't think twice about approaching you.
He's speaking before you even have a chance to realize what's happening. "Listen, I know we’re not in the best terms right now, but I want to talk to you about Bucky."
As much as you want to ignore him you know he really cares about his best friend. And since he’s been nothing but respectful of your decision to avoid him, you think that him actively seeking you out means this is important.
So you nod at him to go on and, with a relief sigh that you're actually gonna listen to him, he does. "Here’s the thing, we both know Bucky’s been through a lot…" he starts, choosing his words carefully as to not give his best friend away completely.
"He’s been doing so much better, and even I realize that’s largely thanks to you." you’re about to protest, but he raises his hand to stop you. "It is. We all see how he is when you’re around, but you don’t see how he is while you’re away on missions. He’s like a puppy just waiting for you to come back, brooding away everytime someone that isn’t you walks through the door."
You can tell he’s trying very hard not to smile as he thinks about it, but fails miserably, before shaking his head a little and getting back on track.
"Anyway, my point is you’re important to him. Tomorrow is gonna be a really hard day for Bucky and I want to thank you for being there for him. Not just for the trial, but for everything I know you do for him. And, I realize it might not be my place to say but, as the only family Buck has left, I feel like I have to tell you: please be careful with him. After everything he’s been through the last thing he needs is to get his heart broken."
Steve knows maybe he said a little too much, but he needs to know Bucky's in good hands. Even if he does trust you with his life, he also wants to know he can trust you with his best friend’s heart.
He doesn't expect you to answer, your face staying neutral the whole time he spoke, and he's about to turn away when you basically throw yourself at him, giving him the tightest hug he’s had since you started avoiding him.
All you can think about was how glad you are that Bucky has someone who cares about him as much as Steve does.
Now more than ever you can see Steve’s reasons behind his choices, how he was motivated by his love for a guy he sees as a brother, the only family he has left.
You get it, you truly do, but seeing it makes you almost cry on Bucky’s behalf.
"I promise you the last thing I’d ever want to do is hurt him." is all you say as you let go, a wordless understanding between you both that you forgive him.
You grab the pop tarts you came here for and go back to an awaiting Bucky and Cassie, who are wearing tiaras and giggling making your heart melt.
The rest of the day goes fast and soon you’re getting into bed with Bucky, not wanting to sleep by himself tonight.
"Hey," he says as he wraps his arms around you. "I just want to say, in case things go wrong tomorrow-"
"Don’t say that, Buck." you interrupt him. "Everything’s gonna be okay, and you’ll come home a free man." you say firmly.
"Doll, we both know there’s a very real chance that I’ll be found guilty and sent back to the Raft. If that happens, I don’t think I’d be able to live without you knowing this…"
Before he can say anything else, you put your hand on his mouth, effectively shutting him up. "Don’t say anything, please. You can tell me tomorrow, after we come back home together."
You can tell he’s trying really hard to hold himself back, but eventually he agrees and you take your hand away, getting more comfortable in his arms and falling asleep in each other’s embrace for what Bucky prays won’t be the last time.
The next morning comes and Bucky’s a bundle of nerves, so worried that time seems to go by in a flash.
Suddenly he’s in a courtroom, asking the judge to please repeat his rouling one more time.
A full pardon.
He can’t believe it. Yes, he has to go to court mandated therapy and has a probation period to go through with the team, but still.
Now he feels like time’s going in slow motion, all he can see it’s you as he turns to your seat next to him. You hug him with tears in your eyes as you tell him how proud you are of him and that you knew he was gonna be okay.
Somehow, you made it real for him. Hearing you acknowledge it makes him believe it and then he’s crying too, not able to hold back.
Steve puts a hand on his shoulder, making you let go of each other and turn to him, a smile so big on his face that you can see all his stupidly perfect teeth.
You all finally get home and, as soon as you enter the living room on your shared floor, you hear a chorus of “congratulations!” followed by loud noises and confetti falling everywhere.
You’re as shocked as Bucky and, as you turn to Steve you see a surprised look on his face too, which turns confused when he looks at you mirroring his own reaction, the same question in the tip of both of your tongues.
But before you can ask each other, Bucky beats you both to it.
"Did you do this for me?" he's amazed, overjoyed and then as confused as you when you both shake your heads no.
Then the mystery is revealed.
"I did it." All three of you are shocked when you turn around to the voice, thinking you were imagining it, to find a very real Tony Stark standing in front of you, the rest of the team behind him.
"You did this?" you have to make sure you heard him correctly.
"Yeah, I did. I’m amazing, get over it." And with that Tony walks away towards the bar. There he is.
You turn to Bucky and Steve and since all they do is stare at you, you just shrug and go to join the rest of the team in celebration, the super soldiers right behind you.
You joke and laugh and dance all together for hours, until eventually you find yourselves sitting scattered around the living room, various conversations going at the same time.
You're sitting on Bucky’s lap, his arms around you and your head on his chest as he jokes with Steve and Sam when you notice Tony going behind the bar, where nobody else is.
You feel the need to follow him so you kiss Bucky in the cheek and tap his arms twice signaling him to let go of you. When he does, somewhat reluctantly, you get up and walk after Tony.
You lean on the bar, crossing your arms in front of your chest. But before you can say anything he speaks, not even bothering to turn around.
"Don’t need to thank me, Cyborg deserves it.- You roll your eyes at the nickname, but decide to let it go for the time being.
"So what, you’re his biggest fan now?" You know you were kind of pushing it, but you just need to know what changed.
He turns around and you get ready for him to yell at you again, but instead he smiles in a way that was too sweet not to be genuine. Yep, Tony Stark is full of surprises.
"I’m not. But I see the way he looks at you." you raise your eyebrow at him.
"How does he look at me?"
"It's the same way I look at Pepper." He answers without skipping a beat. "I know he knows he's not good enough for you, but I can see he's trying to be. That's all I could ask for." he shrugs and turns back around.
You know he means it, as much of a genius as he is, even he couldn’t come up with a lie like that, that fast.
You stare at the back of his head while he works on his drink, both of you thinking of a way to approach the next subject the right way.
When he turns back to you he puts a glass in front of you, your favorite drink in it, and takes a sip of his own drink. After a few more moments of silence, he decides to speak first.
"I’m sorry. For keeping the whole war thing from you and for how I treated Barnes. I had a lot of time to think about it, I read all the Hydra reports we found on him, I rewatched the footage… I can see now it really was out of his control. I shouldn’t have blamed him for something he had no way of stopping. And I shouldn’t have kept something so big from you. I really am sorry."
You’re glad he finally sees things the way you do, but you can’t help yourself as you say "I appreciate it, and I forgive you, but I’m not the one you have to apologize to."
"Trust me, I know." he sighs. "Pepper already gave me the speech…" he says sheepishly.
God, you love that woman.
He makes his way around the bar and stops in front of you.
He gives you a hug and whispers in your ear. "I’m doing this for you, too. I don’t like it when you’re mad at me and I need you to know I meant everything I just said.-"
You’re a little confused at what he’s talking about until he lets go of you and walks towards the couch where Buck’s still talking to Sam and Steve.
"Bucky," he starts, and the room goes silent "I just want you to know that I’m sorry for blaming you for my parents’ death. And it’s not just because the government believes you’re innocent, after everything I’ve learned about your situation the past month I can’t not believe you were a victim and still call myself a genius. I also read some of dad’s old journals from when he worked with the Howling Commandos... You guys were friends. I realize you wouldn’t have hurt him if you had a choice. And I’m also sorry for the name calling, Terminator."
You roll your eyes with a smile at his last sentence while the others snickered at the nickname.
You go to stand next to Tony and wrap your arm around his waist and, when he wraps his around your shoulders and looks down at you, you gave him a squeeze, letting him know you're grateful to him for doing this.
You look at Bucky who doesn’t quite know what to say so you let go of Tony and make your way to sit back down on his lap, his arms going around your waist automatically. That seems to snap him out of it.
"Thank you, Tony. You don’t have to apologize, I understand why you were angry, but I appreciate it. Howard was a good man, he didn’t deserve an end like that." Tony doesn't say anything back, merely nodding and going to sit next to Pepper.
Well, that’s a start.
Everyone goes back to their own conversations and you turn back to Bucky, who's already looking up at you.
"Thank you." he says low enough so only you can hear.
"I didn’t do anything, it was all him. I told you, anyone with a functioning brain can see that you’re a good person." you tell him with a smile.
He smiles back at you, holding you tighter as you lay your head back on his shoulder while looking at your friends talking and laughing amongst each other. You're happy that things are back to normal, with the added bonus of Bucky finally being completely free.
The party eventually ends and the living room slowly empties out, the last people remaining being you, Bucky and Steve.
"Well, I’m going to sleep. You guys should too, today’s been a long day." Steve says, giving Bucky one last pat on the shoulder and, with a smile to the both of you, he gets up and leaves.
You’re sitting in a comfortable silence, not really feeling the need to get up just yet, when you feel Bucky leave a soft kiss against your shoulder, which makes you sit up a little straighter and turn to look at him, your arms going around his neck.
"We still have a conversation to finish… Are you gonna let me talk now?" He's much more confident than he was last night and you nod, curiosity now taking over you.
"Great… I’m just gonna get to the point. I like you, doll. The longer I spend time with you, the more I feel like myself. I feel at peace, like the last 70 years never happened because I know that’s not what you see when you look at me. You’ve never been scared of me, never looked at me like I was a monster. You spend  time with me because you want to, not because you have to. You don’t mind having me around even when we don’t talk and all I do is look at you. You comfort me when I’m sad, calm me down when I have a panic attack and hold me until I fall asleep after I have a nightmare. You never judge me or make me feel guilty or like I’m too much, and you never push me to talk about anything, you’re always patient and let me take my time. I truly appreciate everything you do for me and I need you to know that. And to be clear, when I say I like you I mean it in the ‘I’d like to take you out on a date’ way."
You’re almost crying now, your heart melting as you look at an expectant Bucky. You honestly have no words to reply, so you do the only thing you can think of.
You lean down and kiss him softly, feeling him kiss you back almost right away, his lips are so soft you almost moan into the kiss. After a few moments you pull away, forehead resting against his.
"I really hope that means you like me back." he says with a goofy smile, making you giggle.
"Yes, I like you too." you gave him another kiss. "You make me feel seen. You make me feel important. You make me feel safe. I love spending time with you and having you close. And I’d love to go on a date with you."
This time he’s the one to initiate the kiss and you can’t help but smile into it. Suddenly he gets up, picking you up bridal style and making you squeal in surprise.
He laughs at your face while he takes you both to your room, where he lays you gently on the bed.
"I could’ve walked, you know." You tell him while chuckling.
"I know." he answers before basically lying on top of you while you laugh, smile seared onto his face.
You hang onto each other as you fall asleep, more than glad to have found the other and both silently planning your future together.

au where bucky did a mission for hydra in deep cover mode ( all that old charm he had back in the forties ) and ends up running into steve.
barely a few days new york, where some sort of mission went wrong ( though bucky got the kill ) and he has to wait for a few days before being picked up. But he gets caught up in the aliens and all, while trying to discretely get to hydra's rendezvous point.
he gets saved by captain america, while in civilian clothes and like a switch has been flicked, he's the perfect damsel in distress who happens to be a flirt and charmer.
which would usually work. it should work. except the captain looks like he'd just seen a ghost, and somehow a name slips out of his mouth that he didn't even realize was there. it's only luck that tears the captain away from his side, with an ask for him to stay where he is, and he'll find him afterword.
he means to leave. he means to evade and slip though the cracks, but something keeps him firmly planted to the spot until all the aliens are dead and the captain finds him like he'd said.
Steve doesn't yet know he killed Howard, and SHIELD is still crawling with Hydra-- and the soldier is trying to figure out why his deep cover keeps calling this man 'Stevie' and why his training seems to leave him everytime he's around. this isn't protocol.
It's even worse when he meets Steve's friends. He can't understand the situation and Steve says he knows some really smart people, so he gets dragged away and meets a woman who thankfully seems to put him back in his place. deep cover mode had started to backfire, and she immediately knows him as soldier. She suggests to bring him into SHIELD, and he knows SHIELD has Pierce, so he allows it. He still slips up, his deep cover mode being activated whenever the captain is nearby, but it's left unmentioned. The captain just has a hurt look on his face, worsened when he saw the metal arm, but rolled his eyes and said "It's fine Stevie".
They meet with a man named Fury, someone he'd been getting briefed on for the last month or so, but hasn't actually been given a mission yet, who brings him to Pierce.
And finally, since it's the most normal thing since he'd met the captain, the soldier steps forward and kneels with a bowed head, the widow, the captain, iron man, and fury standing behind him to watch. the soldier has shaped the century, and since these people know Pierce they should know what he has done for the country. So he expects good when he speaks that he's ready to comply, and that the last mission was a success.
he doesn't exactly account for all hell to break loose, in laymen's terms.
Pierce's face goes blank and somewhat, having not been briefed and told about their capturing of the Winter Soldier. And when he tries asking, Natasha can see the look of a guilty man. It's not hard to put two and two together. But the secret is out all too quick, and the Soldier is directed to 'get them' -- which is a little vague, something he doesn't quite like about the american since the russians were exact.
( que rest of the happenings. ) honestly this idea is a little one i had ( somewhat mr and mrs smith style in my mind ) and i think a whole different timeline of events could've been built on this. like ultron would've probably had Bucky with them-- if it even happened -- and he would've probably been the one to convince wanda and pietro earlier on to work with them. the fall of hydra would've been a lot more public ( granted it was public already ) since this would've been right after the battle of new york. Tony possibly using BARF to help bucky and being there when he finds out Bucky killed his parents ( angst, angst, and more angst ) and all that jazz.
also the accords?? how would that have gone?? i feel like bucky would knock some sense into tony and steve about the whole thing and it'd end much smoother. also meeting spider man would've been completely different, which could be a fun idea ( also all this would def include some avengers tower shenanigans, later on )
but this is just my silly idea, since i think the 'what if...?' with his deep cover mode was so good. i fully believe they just lied to him and said he'd already trained that part or something, while it's just his old personality peaking through.

I have finished rewatching Civil War.
This isn't exactly a movie I go back and watch for fun, which is why I put it off for so long on my Marvel rewatch, but it was actually so refreshing to be reminded of "Oh yeah, this is the fandom I love." With Phase 4-5 feeling so disjointed I forgot how wonderful it was to see not only so many heroes on screen, but also all of them living distinct lives and having reasons and motives to be there, which is why I love writing in the post-Civil War era so so much.
Anyway, here are some aspects of Civil War I feel like the fandom has forgotten about (myself included):
The big one is that this movie really isn't all just Steve trying to rescue Bucky. I understand why we latched onto that, and that's definitely a huge motive for Steve. BUT - the core plot point of this movie is that Steve thinks Zemo is trying to activate an entire deadly team of Winter Soldiers, he thinks the Accords are going to stop Tony & co from helping, so he assembles every non-Accords Avenger he can find to go stop Zemo and the super-soldiers.
Even the airport fight is mostly about this. The other members of Team Cap give themselves up because they think the world is in danger and they don't trust the Accords to allow the Avengers to help stop it in time. So they put their faith in Steve instead.
Tony and Natasha recruit everyone they can to try and bring Steve in because the alternative Ross proposes to them is a squad that will shoot on sight, and straight out says they will kill Steve if he 'provokes' them (which of course Steve will, he's Steve). T'Challa is there for revenge but the other Team Iron Man members are there, including Tony, to prevent bloodshed.
Natasha and T'Challa have a full-on friendship arc in this movie
Tony's instructions to Peter at the airport were to "keep your distance and web them up", Peter was never actually meant to get involved in any fighting
Tony is fully under the belief at the airport that Bucky committed the UN bombing and murdered people, he hasn't been given any reason to think otherwise (Steve and Sam know it wasn't Bucky at this point so the audience does too, but Tony doesn't).
While Tony doesn't listen to Steve at the airport, he immediately realizes he was wrong when the psychiatrist Zemo killed is found. When FRIDAY tells him Bucky was innocent of the bombing, he admits he was wrong and tries to give that info to Ross, only for Ross to do nothing. Which is when Tony goes to Siberia, as a friend, with the intent to help Steve stop the super-soldiers
For all the reasons Tony proposes for the Accords, he breaks them the second they become inconvenient to him helping a friend/saving the world (when he still thinks the super-soldiers are a real threat)
During that last fight, Bucky is desperately trying to just run and Steve is trying to help him, they only properly start to fight Tony after Tony pretty much destroys Bucky's escape route and locks them in with him. Both Bucky and Steve's objectives are to take out the suit, not kill Tony, and they both target the arc reactor.
The "locks can be replaced, but maybe they shouldn't" line from Steve's voiceover is place right over Ross calling Tony for urgent assistance with Steve breaking into the Raft. This is almost definitely meant to be interpreted as Tony knowing what is happening at the Raft and choosing to let Steve break their friends out
Final thought:
11 Please bring back Marvel properties that feel grounded, don't feel the need to tell a million jokes a minute, and are happy to bring in big characters for just a few scenes to make the world feel real and lived in

Your two choices seem to be do it this way as demonstrated by canon and bring everyone back after five years have passed. Or (and I'm ignoring the inconsistent power levels of individual stones for now) you reverse the snap entirely, by that I mean you reverse back five years too, in which case you're erasing lots of presumably wanted children, bringing back people who died of natural causes after the snap etc.
BOTH THESE OPTIONS SUCK. That does have a profound impact on everyone in-universe. Either way you are effectively killing people, destroying relationships established during the blip, causing many people to have an identity crisis.
@supervillainarchaeologist Of these two options, I feel like rewinding the last five years so it's like they never happened for everyone save for those in the "eye of the storm" would be the least bad option. That's actually what Doctor Who did for "Last of the Time Lords" when it came to undoing the year the Master spent ruling over a conquered Earth. The Doctor and companions destroyed the Master's Paradox machine, and time rewound to the moment it activated. For everyone except those on the Valiant, the Master's flying airship, the events of that year never happened and were known as "The Year That Never Was".
They could've done the same thing here when reversing the Snap. Rather than give in to Tony's demands, Bruce should've just performed a Snap to rewind the last five and a half years and make it so it's like they never happened.
When Bruce snaps, his snap completely reverses time. For the entire universe, time rewinds 5.5 years to about 5-10 minutes before Thanos performs the Snap. (The only place where time doesn't rewind is this area within a five mile radius of the Avengers Compound, due to being the equivalent to the "eye of the storm" that the Valiant is; this is also so that it's still possible for 2014 Nebula to bring 2014 Thanos and his army forward and we can still get a final battle.) This brings back everyone Thanos killed with the Snap; both those who were dusted and those killed by the immediate after-effects.
The dusted heroes are resurrected already having a set of memories for the ten minutes that have already happened for them. Natasha also ends up being resurrected in the process since she was fighting in the Battle of Wakanda (but due to timey wimey stuff, has memories of everything that happened up through her death on Vormir). So this means, for instance, Wanda is resurrected remembering blowing up the Mind Stone and destroying Vision, as well as Thanos using the Time Stone to undo this and then kill Vision himself. With this memory of what happens, Wanda decides to take a different approach in the do-over. Rather than try to destroy the Mind Stone while holding Thanos off, she and Vision decide to tag-team Thanos. They proceed to kill 2018 Thanos and pry the gauntlet from his body.
While Wanda and Vision are killing 2018 Thanos, 2014 Thanos carpet-bombs and destroys the Avengers Compound, and engages in battle with Tony, Thor, and Steve. Then, moments later, Doctor Strange and co. create the wall of portals to bring all the heroes over from Wakanda to upstate New York, as well as the survivors from Thanos' attack on the Statesman (led by Valkyrie, Korg and Miek) and the Ravagers. The battle then plays out largely the same as in canon.
-----
There's really two sides to the coin of addressing the Blip. You could go into depth about who was dusted and who was spared, as you have an excellent source of worldbuilding for future stories in much the same way that Loki's invasion of New York provided excellent foundation for worldbuilding that affected every Phase 2 movie (aside from Guardians of the Galaxy), Agents of SHIELD, and the Netflix shows.
The downside is, however, that these would be pretty depressing stories. If MCU stories had to tackle the issue of the Blip and play it seriously, two things would happen:
Even taking into account the presence of superheroes, aliens, wizards, and whatnot, the world of the MCU would largely cease to resemble our own.
All MCU media afterwards would have to focus on the Blip fallout, and it'd come at the expense of other stories the creators might be interested in telling. Such media would, as I said, be pretty bleak and depressing.
That's how you get the disconnect that comes with stories like Spider-Man: Far From Home, in which Jon Watts wanted to tell a lighthearted and comedic movie about a teenage superhero and his friends who encounter a supervillain while on a trip abroad to Europe. Thing is, this lighthearted story would be difficult to do if they were trying to pull that off while also paying serious thought to the fact that these kids are living in the recent aftermath of the greatest ever recorded genocide in history.
The thing is that the most interesting and novel invention of the MCU is a universe where billions of people turned into dust and then were physically reconstituted on the spot five years later, in a world that had just barely adapted to their absence.
That is wild. That is intense! That is a series of pathos-ridden emotionally complex doorstoppers waiting to happen. Half the entire world! All dead! And somehow we coped with that! And now we have to cope with them all being back?
A whole street of empty houses--surely not everyone there became ash. Some of them moved to better places, now opened by the mass mortality. Some of them died afterward. Who will live there now? Even if inheritances are reversed by resurrection, surely leases aren't renewed. What the fuck happens to everyone who remarried?
What happens to the children snapped back to a world where their parents didn't survive, or the reverse?
But they had to then hastily smooth over this utterly batshit sci-fi premise and get the world mostly back to normal working order as rapidly as possible, without too much emphasis on how literally every person in existence has been placed in a mason jar by a narcissist and shaken twice in five years.
So they could get on with more superhero whack-blam business, which is customarily done against a background of Normality.
This is, tragically, the most Comics thing these movies have ever done.
It is beyond satire that they did this immediately before and during a worldwide pandemic that everyone was pressured to smooth over and 'return to normal' about within 2 years if not sooner.

Holiday Season
Wanda Maximoff x Reader
Word Count: 1736
Warnings: None
Summary: You don't really have fond memories of Christmas so, you don't enjoy this time of the year. However your first holiday season with the Avengers might change your mind.
An: Let the Christmas fluff begin. We're on the road to 1k you guys thanks for all the support happy holiday season 🎄🎄🎄
Masterlist
Tumblr media
The most wonderful time of the year. That's what the marketing executives have branded it. In your humble opinion, they have made a mistake. You've never had a pleasant winter season. Which mostly is due to you either being sick, alone, or both, but that was not the case this year.
This is the first year you would be spending Christmas as an Avenger. So you tried to be a little less of a Grinch. However, you couldn't get behind the unbridled holiday spirit that ripped through your teammates.
You, yourself, were usually a light spirited person. Full of jokes and joy, but during Christmas it's like you did a full 180. Your teammates didn't really understand it.
" Y/n, what's up with you and Christmas?"
It was Clint who finally asked you one day at dinner," I don't really care for it"
" You, the most happy-go-lucky person we know, doesn't like Christmas?" Tony was completely baffled.
" Nope"
Wanda furrowed her brow beside you," I didn't know, you didn't like Christmas malyshka. Why not?"
" I was always sick during Christmas or I spent it by myself. So it's never really been something to celebrate," you explained.
" Well this year you're not sick, and you're not alone," Natasha chimed in.
" We will bring the spirit to you, Y/n. What would you like for Christmas?" Thor spoke eagerly.
Your face was suddenly heating up with all of the care and attention being thrown at you," I- I don't know, I've never really gotten a Christmas gift before"
" You've never gotten a Christmas present," Bruce was also in disbelief.
" That's it. Avengers, we have a mission to make this holiday season the best one that Y/n has ever had. Failure is not an option," Steve stands up from the dinner table to make his declaration.
" You guys it's not a big deal," you try to back pedal, turning to your girlfriend to back you up.
" I'm with them. We're going to make this special for you," Wanda grabs one of your hands under the table.
That's when it started. The team put in effort beyond compare to make this a memorable holiday season. It was almost like you were living in an advent calendar. Every day was something different.
You had been ice skating with Natasha, you had seen Christmas lights with Tony and Bruce, drank eggnog made by Thor, and Steve and Clint took you gift shopping.
Slowly but surely you were coming around to the holiday activities. You were beginning to see why others loved Christmas so much.
It was also a pretty romantic season too. After learning of your aversion to Christmas, Wanda was giving you a million reasons alone to love the season.
You could never deny that cuddling in the winter season felt a little more special. Along with the way that the women would seemingly always have mistletoe with her wherever she went.
The hand holding, kisses in the snow, getting warm with her by the fire, all the memories were going to make you forever hold the holiday by your heart.
In all honesty, it had felt like the season came and went in an instant. All of a sudden it was the night of Christmas Eve and The Avengers were all watching Christmas movies.
You were cuddled up to Wanda and reveling in how magical the season could be when you weren't spending it alone.
" What has been your favorite one Y/n?" Natasha is the one to ask, and the rest of the team look at you expectantly.
" You bet on it, didn't you?" They all try to deny it, but Wanda confirms it for you.
" Let them know I won malyshka"
You chuckle," Top 3. Number 3 The Year Without Santa Claus, number 2 The Grinch-"
" How is the Grinch not your favorite?" Clint starts.
" It's almost like an autobiography," Tony adds.
" You love Jim Carey," Bruce argues.
" It has a dog," Thor piles on.
" But the songs," Steve, sounds the most defeated.
Natasha sushes them," Would you shut the hell up please and let her say what it is?"
A small smile graces your lips," And my favorite, number one, the most underrated Christmas movie of all time, Fred Claus"
There is a collective groan in the group as everyone begins to hand money over to Natasha.
" Well looks like I know Y/n the best even better than Wanda" Natasha chuckled as she counted her winnings.
Wanda now crosses her arms over her chest," You were supposed to say Elf"
You give her a kiss on the cheek," Elf was really good, but you know I have that thing for Vince Vaughn"
Wanda tightens her grip on you," Stupid Vince Vaughn"
You kiss her again, this time on the lips," Don't worry my thing for you is way more important"
Steve is the first one to yawn," It's getting pretty late. Santa can't come if we're all awake."
The rest of the Avengers agree with him and head off to bed. However, there's a buzzing excitement within you. You can't get yourself off the couch. It's almost as if your mind wants you to wait up to talk to Santa.
You don't get to wait too long before you feel yourself being slung over your girlfriend's shoulder. A little yelp of protest escapes your lips.
" It's bedtime, my love" She carries you all the way to your shared room, gently laying you down in the bed.
When she gets in herself, she snuggles up next to you. Her head rests against your chest as she attempts to fall asleep.
" What's wrong?" Her eyes are still closed as she speaks to you.
" Can't sleep. I'm excited about Christmas. I've never had this problem before."
That's when Wanda opens her eyes and looks up at you," You want me to tire you out?"
Your cheeks take on a slight crimson shade," What do you mean by that?"
Wanda throws a leg over your body and her hands push down on your chest," I think you know exactly what I mean"
" It's not even Christmas yet," you stared in awe as the woman removed her shirt.
The redhead smiled down at you," You've been such a good girl that Christmas came a little early"
Needless to say Wanda had no trouble tuckering you out. This would be definitely going on the list as a reason for why you loved the holiday season. Everyone was just so… giving.
Delicate kisses on your collarbone woke you up on Christmas morning. Your eyes fluttered open and as soon as they did you were treated to a small kiss.
" Merry Christmas, Y/n"
You position yourself upright in the bed," Merry Christmas, baby"
You got out of the bed and brushed your teeth before you attempted to leave the room.
" You're forgetting something malyshka," Wanda playfully slaps your bare bottom.
That's when you realize you're naked," Oh"
You slip on your pajamas from the night before, then exit the room with Wanda in tow.
When you make it to the living room, the rest of the Avengers are already waiting. Tony hands you a cup of hot chocolate as you sit on the couch.
It's when they start bringing you gifts that you actually begin to wake up. You end up with a large pile of presents in front of you. When they finally finish, you notice how bare the tree looks.
They all smile at you before shouting," MERRY CHRISTMAS Y/N"
You can't help it as tears begin to pour out from your eyes," You guys didn't have to do this. "
" We said we'd make this your best Christmas ever, and the Avengers always deliver," Steve smiles at you.
You abandon your pile of gifts momentarily to check at what's left under the tree. You hand the team the gifts that you had got them.
" Let's open them together"
You all begin to open your respective gifts. The team really outdid themselves with everything they got you. You made sure to say thank you after every single present. It was like you were a kid on Christmas morning.
When you all finished, you realized that you hadn't received a gift from Wanda. You didn't really care when memories of last night flooded your mind.
You had gotten her a new coat that she's been raving about for months. It was pretty expensive, but price didn't matter when it came to her or any of your friends for that matter.
After the mess of wrapping paper was cleared out, the team decided to make breakfast together. You were going to join them, but Wanda pulled you aside.
She dragged you out to the balcony. She was sporting the new coat you got her as the two of you stood watching the snow fall.
" So you like the coat?"
She squeezes your hand," I love it. I love you"
" I love you too," you kiss her head.
" I got you something," she pulls out a box from her pocket and your heart stops.
" Wanda-"
She cuts you off," You mean so much to me Y/n. I know it's only been a year, and it's too soon for marriage, but I wanted to get you something to show that I eventually want that with you"
She places the box in your hand, and you work up the courage to open it. It's a ring. A beautiful ring that couldn't have been cheap. You marvel at the ring and notice on the inside her name is engraved.
" It's a promise ring. I know we're a little ol-"
You place your lips against hers and lock your arms behind her neck. You make sure to pull her as close to you as you can. The surprise slips out of her body and her hand grasps onto your hips.
When the kiss broke, you were both breathing hard. You open your eyes to see hers already shining back at you.
" I love you," there's a warmth in your chest as you speak to her.
She quickly pecks your lips again," I love you too. Merry Christmas, malyshka"
" Merry Christmas"
The two of you walked back inside after that. You went on to have the best Christmas you had ever experienced before thanks to your amazing friends and your girlfriend. It was one of the books.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shifting your weight from one foot to the other, you sway slightly from where you're standing
Fidgeting with your hair, clothes, nails, and handbag, you earn an eye roll from May. Peter pulled your hand from, all the activities and intertwined his hands to yours, rubbing circles on the back of your palm with the other, exchanging a comforting smile.
You 3 make your way towards the receptionist, busily tapping away on her laptop, simultaneously answering the ringing phones.
"Good morning Ms Parker" "Good morning to you too Linda" The kind looking blonde, middle-aged woman greeted May. They continued to engage in a conversation, Peter eventually getting pulled into it.
You were pulled from your thoughts when you slightly got startled by your phone ringing.
Instantly you bring the device to your ears, seeing it was from work.
As soon as you ended the call you noticed that Peter was making his way towards you. Getting up from the couch you walk towards him as he updates you on what they were talking about. Therefore as instructed you go and enter your name, number and signature in the register. The receptionist, 'Linda',  smiles and thanks you as you finish, but takes a double check on you and then looks back at your name and signature. She gasps a little and widens her eyes in glee.
"(Y/N) (M/N)??" She squealed in excitement, seeming to overlook your last name. "Yes," You reply in an unsure tone.
"Woah!! I'm a huge fan.. I love your dresses... Can I get an autograph?"
You loosened up realising that she recognised (Y/N) and not Spectare.
"Aight, sure why not." You say as you do the same, earning a smile and a thank you from her. Meanwhile, earning shocked glances from May and a smirk from Peter.
As soon as the doors close your breathing pattern fluctuates and you crouch down, grabbing your abdomen. Resulting in Peter's hands immediately flying to catch you before you "collapse".
" May, I don't feel so good..." You croak as Peter's eyes fill with horror.
"You embarrass me to a level, where I start to think Peter is normal." She scoffs earning a defensive "HEY" from him. "Kid, that's the oldest trick in the book" She continues, making you curse under your breath. Shooting up from the floor dramatically flipping your half-up done hair, audibly huffing. "Well, at least I ain't be damned for trying."
You spat, crossing your arms against your chest. Earning a chuckle from May, Peter still gawking at the drama unveiled in front of him. "Was that all acting?! I ACTUALLY THOUGHT SOMETHING HAPPENED TO YOU." His voice thundered among the small walls of the elevator. Suddenly out of nowhere, the lift door opened and you visibly flinched covering your face with your hands.
"HEY!! you can't blame me for thinking how they'd react.. On seeing me" You retort turning on your heels to face May and Peter.
You rub your neck and shoulder as the anxiety starts kicking in again.
Pacing around in the hallway you start mumbling to yourself, rubbing your nose bridge in frustration.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Avengers Assemble" Tony's voice thunders throughout the tower, through the speakers.
In no time everybody was assembled in the common room.
"What is it now Tony, rock head Rumlow can't keep his and his minion's asses down for a day?" Natasha growled as dragged herself into the common room.
"Honestly, I have no idea... " Tony replied simultaneously shrugging and popping a blueberry into his mouth. "May called Pepper told to inform everyone to assemble, out of nowhere."
"You sure it's something important?"Sam asked as he munched on his granola bar. "Cuz it better be, Barnes over there is not in his best mood—"
"Tin man's always in a bad mood."
"Don't even get me started... TONY YOU IDIOT!! you knew it was an annoying, NOT HARD, but annoying silly ass mission. Yet you made him go—" Kiran started.
"Yeah, I made you guys go, still who was the one who messed up? You..."
YOU messed up and upset your lil lover boy over there. And finally whose to blame?....ME!!!" Tony retorts flailing his arms.
"Bucky is NOT my boyfriend!! he's my best friend, and yes I do take the blame for messing up. "
A tension-filled pause follows after her confession only for Tony to reply his comeback.
"I don't think you've got that title yet, Ms Dominique... I know for a fact that he has only 2 best friends, And I think we all know it better than anybody else —"
"Who? That woman who ditched THE AVENGERS, oh..I'm sorry, her “BEST FRIENDS” for her selfish needs, fucking years ago??—" Kieran spat, words dripping from her mouth like poison.
"ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!! YOU BETTER TAKE THAT BACK KIERAN!!" Natasha shouted, not being able to handle, the insults getting thrown at her little sister.
"Calm down Nat..." Steve said as he pulled her back into her seat, the others instinctively clutching their seats and clenching their jaws as they subconsciously listen to Steve's words.
"Calm down? You want ME to calm down?"
"What the hell is going on in here?" All eyes turn towards the voice that caused the interruption.
Bucky finding himself, standing rather confused in front of the scene.
Bucky scanned the room as everyone shifted to their original seats, the Russian spy shrugging off Steve's hands with a huff and Tony rolling his eyes as he sees the man of the talk finally showing up.
"Didn't you guys hear me? I asked what the hell is happening here"
"Tell your woman to watch her mouth"
"She's my friend, NOT my girlfriend!"
Bucky growled even though deep inside he knew he liked her maybe more than he should.
"Hate to say told you so!" Tony said with a dark, exhaled chuckle and a scoff.
"I'm serious guys, what's going on? Is it about the mission? I know we messed up a bit but, I swear it's not her fault, it's mine. I'm the one who didn't stick within the marked coordinates. I'm the one who deviated, even after she told me not to. Now can we all just get on with—"
Bucky gave out a deep breath and continued before getting cut off by Natasha again.
"I don't give a shit about your messed up missions. ALL I CARE is that she apologise for what crap came out of her mouth. NOW!!" Nat growled, blood boiling in her veins in anger. Making Clint roll his eyes.
Bucky was taken aback, it was a rare sight to see Nat so angry and also at someone she genuinely cares for. Maybe Kieran did say something that offended her. He didn't want to sound nosey, so he gave out a sigh and walked over to her. But it was harder than he thought once he reached over to her. Bucky did notice the glint of regret in her eyes but it was clouded with her undeniable stubbornness. He looked back at the others and relaxed only when he noticed the sympathetic eyes of Steve, Wanda and Clint. Sam was keeping a straight face. Which was particularly out of character.
Clint was enough and done with his teammate's antics, but he had to admit that she did touch a very sensitive topic. But unbeknownst to them, he was keeping his promise as said to (Y/N). Knowing well and enough why they were suddenly assembled, he tried his level best to keep up his act and so far it only meant keeping his mouth shut. (Y/N) really did know how to make an entrance. He had no idea that his friends would be talking about her, totally anonymous to the fact that the 'one and only' will be showing up today.
"Let's just all wait for May to show up and then we'll figure it out later. For now, please, just apologise. You know what you said." He continued not allowing Nat to interrupt "AND, and...you know what you said, I do agree with Nat that it was....a hard topic... BUT I also know for a fact that you didn't mean what you said. I'm pretty sure if you get to know her, you'll be rethinking your choice of words." His tone was not that of warning but a friendly reminder.
She gave a single nod still looking at the ground fiddling with the hem of her top. She slowly padded her way over to Nat and Tony, slowly craning her head up. "I'm truly sorry for what I said, I knew it's a sensitive topic and yet I didn't stop myself. And to be honest, I shouldn't have talked like that about her without getting to know her. I'm pretty sure if y'all are still fending her, then she must be a great friend and family." Kieran finished pursing her lips and glancing back at Clint to receive a thankful smile.
Nat gave out a deep sigh and started.
"She is...she is a great friend, sister, lover, fighter, family. And I apologise too...I may or may not have overreacted a bit." Nat said a small smile tugging her lips.
Tony was taken aback a little, to be honest.
He knew Kieran was not a person who easily give in. Though he did not show it he did appreciate and accept her apology.
Nobody had the nerve to tell him what was going on. He came to help her and now nobody is even noticing him. Bucky rolled his eyes and swiftly turned on his heels, walking off in the hopes of getting some more sleep.
"Where's Peter, by the way? Isn't he supposed to be here too?"
"Damn it!! I forgot to call him." Tony cursed under his breath as he scrambled on his feet, turning to call him, just as the doorbell rang. "It's probably her," Tony said as he, Steve, Nat, Bruce, Sam, and Clint walked over to the front door, the others following him behind.
"Oh, thank God I was just about to call you." Tony let out a breath as he saw Peter standing in the doorway.
"Where's May?" Tony asked as he leaned forward with his hands on the door frame. He didn't get to see much before, Peter pushed him in.
"Umm..th- they'll come now...you guys...please don't freak out."
"Why would we freak ou-?" *gasp*
"OMG!!" Tony exclaimed in realisation.
"What?" Peter asked his eyes widening in horror.
"Does she know you're spiderman?"
"Wha-? Yes!"
"When did you tell her? Before dating or after?"
If Peter wasn't already confused with Tony's behaviour, then he was now.
"What are you talking About"
"You're here to introduce your girlfriend right?....... If not then who did you mean by 'them'?" Tony asked as he leaned over Peter's shoulder once again only to get pushed by him.
"YES!! Yes...she uhhh...is my girlfriend" "wait in here and PLEASE don't freak her out."
"OH!!STOP rambling and bring her in" Wanda said getting giddy, earning vigorous nods from Sam and Nat.
"O-okay."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now there was no turning back.
No one has the right to judge you though, because no one really knows what you have been through. They might have heard the stories, but they didn't feel what you felt in your heart. You thought to yourself. Taking a deep breath you move to May's left side, behind the wall, obscuring the view of anyone whose standing near Peter.
"I'd like you to meet someone," May said out loud getting the attention of a few, others still staring into their phones.
"Hey!"
Everybody's head turned towards the source of the faint sound.
The beautiful woman standing beside May was maybe too familiar. She had (long/short) luscious (H/C) hair carefully pulled back into a half updo. Plump, pink lips that complement her (skin colour). Eyes (E/C)and elegant. Like it always has been.
Steve was not confused for some reason, rather he was stunned, bewildered, was it really his best friend, the (tall/short) quirky Lil gothic diva, who could have been easily mistaken for a teenage boy if it hadn't been for her hair and voice?
It concerned her that nobody had spoken anything for almost 3mins straight. They were all staring at her like she had grown 3 pairs of arms and had 2 heads. It was the least expected person to finally say something. But the only exception was that it was Wanda's screeching.You flinched at the sudden outburst.
"OMG!! (Y/F/N)? I'M WANDA MAXIMOFF! I'M A REALLY BIG FAN!! I LOVE YOUR DRESSES."
"Oh... Mmm.. Thanks, I guess..." You mutter as she vigorously shook your hands.
You slowly detached your hands from hers, glancing around the room and seeing no change in any of their expressions.
"Guys... You're not saying anything..."
Still nothing...
"Ok, this was a mistake..." You say as you turn and walk towards the door, only to get pulled by the waist from behind by Clint. You yelped but relaxed when he placed you on the ground, still arms around your waist.
"Seriously you guys still not gonna talk a word? You acting dumb or are you actually dumb?" He asked glancing at them and glancing back at you, giving them an unsure, toothy grin.
"Just shocked..." Steve breathes out, walking to you with a teary smile.
'This is all just a wild dream.' Sam mumbled as Steve speed-walked to you. You detached yourself from Clint and threw yourself onto him, latching onto him like a koala bear. You both burst into a fit of giggles, Steve spinning you around. "I missed you," you both said simultaneously, laughing and crying at the same time. Without wasting a second Nat joined the hug, pulling Bruce by the wrist. Embracing you like you would turn to dust if they let you go, you stood there a good few mins.
It was until you heard someone clearing their throat you turned to look at a Sam smiling coyly at you, without wasting any second you ran to him and came to a halt a few inches in front of him. "Don't tell me you forgot it."
"Over my dead body" You grin as both of your palms clash, series of claps, fist bumps and all sorts of childish sing songs following it. Finishing your secret handshake you squeal when he quickly pulls you into a tight embrace, chuckling when saw you hiding your face in his chest in embarrassment. " She's the same y'all," He says out loud making everyone laugh.
You turned to the person who missed you the most and vice versa.
"Tony," You say with a smile on your face.
"Come here" he mumbles as you hug him tight. "Oh, and also you only get to call me dad...do you think you can call me dad one fine day and leave us all for 7 years?" Even though he was joking one could clearly hear the sadness in his voice.
"Ton— dad... I'm really sorry—"
"It's alright, that's all in the past..."
Tony cooes petting your hair.
"Wanda, why did you have to shout again? I thought I gave you something to shut up—" Familiar female voice came walking down the hallway making you turn to the source.
"I'm sorry, you guys were in a meeti—"   "(Y/N)?"
"Pepper?" You ask dumbfounded.
"What are you doing here?" You both
say simultaneously making you look at Tony, confused.
"You guys know each other?"
"Know is an understatement?" She mutters as she walks toward you.
"Erm...this is the...family I kept anonymous." You said with an amused chuckle.
"Oh..! So you're THE (Y/N)? The ex avenger?"
"WHAT?!" Pietro, Wanda and Kieran shout in unison.
"She's Peter's sister"  Vision reasoned in a monotone as you looked up at him with a warm smile.
"Nice to finally meet you (Y/N)"
"Nice to meet you too...uh..."
"Vision"
You smile and return the handshake.
"I can't believe I didn't give your name a second thought, this is one hell of a coincidence!" She says as she beacons me for a hug.
You quickly give her a side hug as you see yet another new face.
Kieran's body stiffened as you made your way over to her regret filling in her by each breath.
"Hi I'm Kieran Dominique aka blue blade."
"Oh!.. I'm aka Scarlet witch" Wanda quipped while you acknowledged both the women. But before you could move another muscle of your body your hand was taken and a kiss was placed on the back, by which you startled. "Prinsessa, I'm Pietro Maximoff aka Quicksilver. A pleasure to meet you."
"Oy! You're that speedy guy.."
"You know who I am?"
"Yeah, you're the guy who saved us... The alleyway, bout a month ago—"
"THAT WAS YOU??" Pietro along with a bunch of others shouted.
"Wha—but that woman was a ginger-"
"Oh, that was a wig.." "Just an old trick to hide from paparazzi" You reply shrugging.
"So that knife is yours?" Tony questions in wonder. "Didn't see that coming" He muttered as you let your mind wander, thinking if you've missed someone.
"Oh bugger!! Where's Rowan?" Looking around you don't see her, you start to panic thinking the worst. "Oh no, you didn't break up did you?"
"Nope" A feminine voice speaks from behind Steve, making you push him out of the way, the supersoldier stumbling sideways as a result.
"Rowan?!" You look at her, still short and Pettit, tight brown curls even though tried in a ponytail, reaching her lower back. Your eyes trail down her face as you notice something from the corner of your eyes. You make sure to take a double check when you saw her swollen up belly, resulting in, your hand flying up to your mouth in surprise.
"Sweet baby Jesus...." You mutter as you waddle towards, Rowan who has a frown on her face. You carefully place a hand on her belly and glance back at Steve. "Never really thought you had it in you." You joke, wildly amused. Rowan had no other choice but to crack up at your confession.
She slaps you square across your face, making you yelp and nod. "I deserved that." You mumble holding your cheek in your palm, not long after she yanks you by the arm and swiftly pulls you into a tight embrace. You close your eyes and let out a sigh of relief, though feeling that there's one more piece to finishing the puzzle.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You were bombarded with questions by an impatient Tony, Nat and the Rogers couple, Bruce getting chances from time to time. Even though sam was always the goofy and doofus guy of the group, you gotta admit that he does have patience and understand power, glancing at you from time to time with a coy smile, while clint explained to him on behalf of you.
Steve was showing you pictures of their wedding when you spotted a brunette man with long hair. You froze in realisation.
"WHERE'S JAMIE?" You questioned shooting up from your seat, with a shocked expression.
"Who the hell is Jamie?" Asked a confused Pietro
"Oh no...you NEVER call him that, he always gets angry if someone calls him that," Kieran said frantically.
"Pfft...WHAAAAT?! Who gave you that false information?" "That's literally the only thing I used to call him. I think the others used to call him something else if I'm not wrong. Bucky? If I remember correctly." You rant on defending yourself
"JAMIE~"
Kieran mumbles an okay knowing     how this is going end.
You call out his name a few more times but gave up when no response came, just when you thought you'd leave him be and rest you heard a loud slamming of the door and Vision mumbling an 'Oh boy'. You quickly hid behind Steve and peeked from where you stood to see him barging into the room.
Just before he turned the corner which finally bought him to the room you decide to give a final pull to the nerve.

This is it for now...

@unhingedmarvelandclassicwhobuff @valkyrieandstrangeridingaragorn When undoing the Snap, they really should've just taken the approach that Doctor Who did in "The Sound of Drums" / "Last of the Time Lords".
For those not familiar with the story, the premise of that episode is that the Master, the Doctor's archnemesis, steals the Doctor's TARDIS in the year 100 trillion and travels back to 21st century England. He then uses mass hypnosis and manipulation to get himself elected Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, and as Prime Minister, conquers and enslaves the Earth. He does this with the Toclafane, little spherical aliens who are the result of the last dregs of humanity at the end of the universe cannibalizing themselves. The Master is able to bring them back to the 21st century thanks to having turned the TARDIS into a "paradox machine", enabling them to kill their ancestors without erasing themselves from existence.
The Doctor's solution to defeating the Master is to spend a year as the Master's prisoner aboard his flying helicarrier, the Valiant, while Martha Jones walks the earth telling tales of the Doctor. When that year has passed, the Doctor and co. destroy the paradox machine, which instantly reverses time to the very second that it activated. While everyone on the Valiant remembers the events of the past year due to being at the "eye of the storm", for the rest of the universe, that year never happened for them, leading to this being known by many as "The Year That Never Was".
Something similar could've been done when it comes to undoing the Snap. Rather than give in to Tony's demands, Bruce should've just performed a Snap to rewind the last five and a half years and make it so it's like they never happened. I'm literally picturing how that could go:
The other Avengers basically pretend to agree to Tony's demands that they not undo the last five years. Right up until Tony's being all, "You remember–--everyone Thanos snapped away five years ago and just bringing them back to now, today. Don't change anything from the last five years", they act this way. It's here that Bruce calls Tony out for being so selfish, and instead he does the right thing: perform a snap that completely reverses time. For the entire universe, time rewinds 5.5 years to about 5-10 minutes before Thanos performs the Snap. (The only place where time doesn't rewind is this area within a five mile radius of the Avengers Compound, due to being the "eye of the storm"; this is also so that it's still possible for 2014 Nebula to bring 2014 Thanos and his army forward and we can still get a final battle.) This brings back everyone Thanos killed with the Snap; meaning both those who were dusted and those killed by the immediate after-effects.
All the dusted heroes are resurrected...while also already having a set of memories for the minutes that have already happened for them. Natasha also ends up being resurrected since she was fighting in the Battle of Wakanda (but due to timey wimey stuff, has memories of everything that happened up through her death on Vormir). So for Wanda, for instance, she's resurrected remembering blowing up the Mind Stone and destroying Vision, as well as Thanos using the Time Stone to undo this and then kill Vision himself. With this memory of what happens, Wanda decides to take a different approach from the last time around.
The battle begins in much the same way, but things start to differ when Wanda begins her confrontation with 2014 Thanos.
Wanda Maximoff: You tried to take everything from me once. You won't get to take it from me twice. Thanos: I don't even know who you are. Wanda Maximoff: You will...
Subsequently, I can see Wanda killing 2014 Thanos, though I suppose that maybe another hero would get the honors of doing this. I think the "girl power" moment would play out a lot differently, and maybe the female superheroes focus on going for Thanos and killing him rather than running interference for Carol.
Whatever the case, once Thanos and his forces are defeated, the Accords are probably swiftly repealed given the heroes who opposed them played the biggest roles in defeating Thanos. Tony's reputation is permanently ruined in light of his own Accords violations being exposed, as well as the fact that he didn't want to undo the five years that half of life was snapped away. Wanda settles down with Vision in Westview. Steve enters into a relationship with Sharon Carter. Natasha is reunited with Yelena.
And as a whole, for the heroes who were spared in the initial Snap, they are mentally affected by the fact that they are living with two sets of memories, one of which is for a timeline that no longer exists (call it "the Five Years that Never Were").
And of course, future MCU projects can be carried out without having to address the ramifications of the Snap since the five years of dystopia were erased and there's only a handful of people who know what happened (though like I said, this does a number on those heroes mentally given they can't really confide this to anyone else lest they be seen as crazy).
As for erasing those born after the Snap, you can have it where it's ensured that they're still born in the new timeline.
According to the MCU wiki, the Blip is today. So I figured I'd take the time to detail the four biggest reasons why the time jump in Endgame was a universe-shatteringly horrible idea that should never have seen the light of day
the absolute biggest problem, of which there are many, is the fact that countless people died as collateral damage in the initial Snap. Hell, we are shown it in the Infinity War post-credit scene with those multiple car accidents and that helicopter slamming into a building. And that was just the tip of the iceberg; imagine how many planes crashed because the pilots were dusted, or how many babies starved because both their parents were dusted, or people who may have died on the operating table because a surgeon got dusted. All of these people are totally ignored. It's never so much as mentioned when talking about bringing everyone back, and Tony insisting that the last five years remain unchanged is implicitly saying all of those people remained dead when the dusted returned.
the second big problem with this plot point is that it's used as an excuse for every character except Nat to be totally unrecognizable. Bruce becomes Professor Hulk, Thor gets fat, Tony has a family (and I fucking love how the movie inadvertently says he just let the world rot for five years instead of using his billions of help. That is 100% in character for him), Clint went on a mass killing spree, and Steve... I actually have no idea what made him change so radically. None of this is shown to us at all, it's just told to us.
this is less a problem with Endgame and more a problem with Phases 4 and 5, but the other worse thing about this development is that absolutely nothing has been done with it. Far From Home played the time-jump for comedy, WandaVision had that one great scene in the hospital and then did nothing else, Shang-Chi had a singular throwaway line about the Blip, and Multiverse of Madness had a single conversation where Strange wonders if letting Tony have his way was the only way to save the universe. The only projects to do anything at all with the Blip as a plot point are Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Eternals.
the fourth and final massive problem with the Blip is pretty simple yet complicated; it ignores the absolutely insurmountable societal implications both the Snap and the Blip would have. Think about it; half the fucking universe disintegrates into ash. There are SO many things that would do to just human society alone. But even more importantly, five years after all those people were declared dead (meaning wills are executed, spouses remarried, jobs and homes redistributed, etc) those people suddenly reappear, and from their POV it's only been a second. Just to put it in perspective, the Snap happened on April 26th, 2018. Doesn't that feel like forever ago? If the Snap were real, all those people would have been gone until today. That is such a huge mindfuck that I'm shocked no one went insane. And even looking aside from the psychological impact, all those people are pretty fucking screwed. Far From Home had a single scene addressing this, then promptly forgot about it.
My final point is less of a problem and more of an amusing byproduct; since Tony directly forbids Bruce from undoing the last five years, that means the events of WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, Multiverse of Madness, and Secret Invasion are on some level his fault. That’s fucking hysterical.
I suppose I'll be absolutely fair and say that rewinding time isn't a morally perfect solution either, as you would be erasing any maturity the survivors gained during those five years, as well as anyone born in that time. But that's just all the more reason to NOT HAVE A FUCKING TIME-SKIP!!! I still think the only reason it was done was for cheap shock value.
All in all, the five-year time jump is the single worst major plot point in the MCU. Fight me.

SteveTony - Getting Together
Here are some Getting Together fics that I adore. Don't forget to leave kudos and nice comments in every fic!
Tumblr media
Lovesick, by royal_chandler, 3 k >, fluff.
The depth of the flu aisle in the pharmacy is substantial, overwhelmingly so, and Steve is half-convinced he needs to return to the front and trade his basket for a full-on cart.
There's a Party Going on Right Here, by Annie D (scaramouche), Post-Endgame.
After the Battle of Earth, Tony hosts a party.
Open Tab , by machi_kun , 5k> words, Post-Avengers 2012.
Tony has a lot of money. Really. More money he could possibly ever spend by himself. So what if he spends some of it buying gifts for his friends? People like gifts! And Steve is his friend. His best friend, actually, inside the Avengers, and he’s glad it turned out this way - so it’s also a way of saying 'thanks for putting up with me', he thinks. He just wants Steve to be happy. If Tony can make him happy, then why wouldn’t he? Tony buying Steve gifts is no big deal. Shut up, Rhodey.
(Pretty) Odd, by machi_kun, 5 k> words, Developing Relationship, Fluff.
In his file, Tony Stark had been described as eccentric. He had also been described as a narcissist, as a self-destructive liability, as not-recommended, and all sort of fancy words that are used to disguise the fact that they were calling him an all-around asshole; And that’s a very long list of bad adjectives, for a guy Steve saw carry a nuke behind his back to save the city, gave them a place to stay, and is slowly showing himself to be one of the most curious people Steve has ever met. Maybe Tony Stark is eccentric – and maybe he is a bit of an asshole. But maybe he’s also more than that.
Six Times DUM-E Made It Worse (and One Time He Fixed It) by FestiveFerret, 4 k > words, Outsider POV.
DUM-E has a lot of Very Important jobs to do, and he does his best to do them right. Sometimes, though, things don't work out very well.
All he wants is for his humans to be happy.
Sweet Child O' Mine by starspangledsprocket, 9 k > words, Age Regression/De-Aging, Fluff.
After just their second outing as the Avengers, everyone except for Steve and Tony are turned into toddlers. Madness ensues.
'Cause Everytime We Touch by Perlmutt, 5 k > words, Touch-Starved.
Steve noticed it the first time they were officially introduced at Fury’s office after the battle of New York.
He extended his hand for a handshake, a silent peace offer after their horrible first meeting at the helicarrier almost a week ago. Stark looked at it like it would bite him any second. Steve could see how his hands twitched where he’d buried them in his pockets. But instead of taking his hand, he stared into his eyes for a moment and nodded before turning back to Fury.
Only later would Steve learn that it wasn’t hatred or aversion.
how the thought of you does things to me by Finduilas, 6 k > words, Mutual Pining, Domestic Avengers.
Steve has a thing for Tony's butt. Tony has a thing for Steve's beard. They're both very obvious about it (just ask any of their friends!), but somehow they manage to also be completely oblivious.
Right here waiting by gottalovev, 19 k > words, Cat Dads.
Steve has been missing Tony like crazy since he left the compound. One day, Steve drops in unannounced at the tower, and when on a walk for coffee they rescue newborn kittens.
Or: A yearning Steve, an oblivious Tony, and co-parenting kittens. (= fuff!)
picture perfect (picture us) by starklystar, 18 k > words, Enemies to Friends to Lovers, Photo Shoots.
Tony has a habit of being handsy during photoshoots.
Steve has a habit of being flustered whenever Tony touches him.
Misunderstandings happen.
Or, five times Steve and Tony went to a photoshoot
+ the one time they had better things to do.
++ the one time they take their photoshoot online.
take me out (to the ball game) by muItifandomjess, 1 k > words, Fluff.
“Take me out to the ball game, take me out with the crowd,” Steve sings, his shoulder bumping into Tony’s as he sways back and forth. “Come on, Tony, sing!”
“I am a genius billionaire playboy philanthropist,” Tony protests around a mouthful of hot dog. “I do not sing.”
Or, Steve and Tony go to a ball game. It all kind of snowballs from there.
Drifting Further Everyday by GotTheSilver, 8 k > words, Post-Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Steve’s quiet a lot of the time, it’s almost like living with a ghost, and Tony kind of hates it; he lives with more than enough actual ghosts every day. The longer time goes on, the more Tony recognises what’s going on, sees the jumpiness, the haunted look on his face, and he gets it. Realises they’re both trying to bury things they don’t want to talk about. More often than not, Tony turns around in the workshop to see Steve sitting there, patiently working on something in his sketchbook or reading an actual book, usually something he missed during the years he was frozen.
Somehow Steve is filling all the gaps in his life Tony didn’t realise he needed filling.
Goop, Or Five Times Steve Rogers Was Covered In... Something, And One Time Tony Was by Bill_Longbow, 7 k > words, Mutual Pining.
There were a lot of things Steve had expected about the future; sleek buildings, sleeker electronics, and all the food you can eat. Being covered in alien goop wasn't one of them.
or
How Steve being covered in... stuff, brings Tony and Steve closer.
The art of longing by itsallAvengers, 63 k > words, Oblivious Tony, Not Actually Unrequited Love.
Steve's used to missing his shot. To being too late, too scared, and losing everything. But he really did think that this time, with Tony, something could work.
Then Tony meets Mark. He's cool and charming, he's a scientist and he's perfect for a man like Tony Stark.
And suddenly Steve...
Well. Steve just doesn't have a place anymore
earth laughs in flowers by starksnack, 3 k > words, Love Confessions, Secret Admirer.
A secret admirer has been sending Tony flowers and confessions of love.
Crash Into You by FestiveFerret, 15 K > words, Post-Avengers (2012), Stranded.
Tony was pretty used to crashing.
It seemed like these days more often than not his return to earth in the Iron Man suit was at least somewhat out of control. He couldn't count the number of times he'd used a helpfully situated building, a local landmark, or, hey, even a teammate to slow a wild descent. And he'd be damned if he'd admit it to Pepper, but on more than one occasion he hadn't even been conscious when he'd hit the ground.
So crashing wasn't really a new experience. He would get banged up a bit, maybe put a scratch in the suit somewhere, but bruised ribs healed and there was no better way to work off the post-battle high than smoothing dents out of his most prized possession.
He had a feeling crashing in the Quinjet, without his armour, was going to be a bit different..
I like me better (when I'm with you) by I_write_things_sometimes, 79 k > words, Domestic Avengers, Friends to Lovers.
If you ask either of them how they got together, they'd go back to an unremarkable night filled with expensive food, rich donors, and lots of schmoozing. And, of course, the anxiety attack that started it all.
"Not recognizing someone was strange enough, but the longer the two men spoke with — or, more accurately at — Tony, the more convinced Steve was that the conversation was unwanted, at least on Tony’s part.
The first clue was that Tony was actively leaning away from the men he was talking to. Steve had learned firsthand that Tony was an incredibly tactile person. When he wanted to talk to you, Tony engaged completely; he’d sling his arm around your shoulders, squeeze your arm, or drag you around as he talked, walked and usually did at least two other things. Even when he argued, Tony was often immediate and in his opponent's space; Steve knew that from experience.
Right now? Tony was scanning the outskirts of the room rather than making eye contact with the men near him. If Steve had to guess, Tony was looking for the nearest exit."
Or, the way Steve Rogers and Tony Stark became friends and then more.
Mission SteveTony by itsallAvengers, 7 k > words, Mutual Pining, Oblivious Steve Rogers.
If the entire team of Avengers could please stop trying to get it on with Tony when Steve is right there, he would really appreciate that, thank you
you'll wait a long time by nanasekei, 16 k > words, Pining, Post-Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 (Movie).
Steve and Tony share a moment during a wedding. Things escalate from there.
-
Alternatively: Four weddings, a funeral, and one very emotionally stunted idiot.
The Game by FestiveFerret, 5 k > words, Gay Chicken.
The game starts when Tony walks into the garage to find Steve sitting astride the R1200RS, staring down at his phone, and he maybe, just a little bit, walks into a car.
Talking Bodies by itsallAvengers, 13 k > words, Misunderstandings, Insecure Steve Rogers.
Coincidentally, the physical effects of romantic and sexual desire match up very closely with the physical effects of fear. But it's not a problem-- it's not like anyone is going to be able to hear the way your heart speeds up, or see the minute dilation of your pupils, are they? They'd have to be some sort of Superhuman to do that.
And what's worse than a Superhuman hearing that quick pulse and seeing those dilated eyes and concluding that you're in love with them?
A Superhuman hearing that quick pulse and seeing those dilated eyes and thinking you're terrified of them.
more than just a dream. by frostfall, 10 k > words, Alternate Universe - Modern Setting, Parent Tony Stark.
Tony: Fine.
Tony: I think I might.
Tony: Just might.
Tony: Have a teensy-weensy crush.
Peter: ;)
Peter: Is it who I think it is?
Tony: Unfortunately, yes.
Tony: You happy now?
(Peter thinks he's found the perfect partner for his dad. Tony thinks his son has officially lost his mind. Steve's just oblivious to the fact that he's out of Tony's league.)
don’t want you to get it on (with nobody else but me). by frostfall, 4 k > words, Jealous Steve Rogers, The Pocky Game.
There are a lot of things that Steve doesn’t get about the future. But it’s fine. He will, eventually. He has time.
But one thing he knows is that he’ll never, ever be able to wrap his head around is the fanfare surrounding Pocky.
(Or Steve’s jealous of biscuit sticks.)
check yes (if the feeling isn't new) by cvptains, 12 k > words, Post-Captain America: Civil War (Movie), Meddling.
After the battle with Thanos, both Tony and Steve struggle with reconnecting in certain aspects of their lives. Sam Wilson and Peter Parker are totally over it.
Where both Steve and Tony's respective friends make accounts for them on the renowned dating app, FlickLove, and the results come out a bit... surprising. Cue unadvisable meddling that really — honestly — comes from good intentions.
take my heart clean apart by mistymountainking, 13 k > words, Tony Stark Has Self-Esteem Issues.
He’s tired, so tired of waiting, tired of touches with no meaning, tired of holding his breath when Steve’s in the room, tired of keeping this love to himself.
“I can’t—I can’t, if you don’t mean it.”
***
Tony comes home exhausted after an SI event. Steve acts as welcoming committee. It's an old, careworn routine they've perfected over the years, but tonight ends up going in a very different direction.

PARTY FAVOURS I CHAPTER 26
first time reader click here
Tumblr media
TWs/SUMMARY: Drunken love confessions and other emotional constipation. A threesome between two awesome facial hair bros and reader. I'm absolutely unhappy with how this turned out because a certain sorcerer insisted on being super soft in this one. But at least there's porn...
On the same note, how do we feel about introducing more m/m action? I am a total slut for bisexual boys. I can't help the gay it just comes out...
Tumblr media
I danced with Tony briefly as the drinks finally caught up to him. The ex-playboy certainly defended his title: he had impeccable sense of rhythm and we swayed on the floor in tandem, bothering very little with hiding how hot we were for each other. Grinding our hips together, my ass on his dick, Tony was half-hard and I felt it all through the layers of tulle of my skirt and leather of his pants. Now and then his hands wandered, shamelessly squeezing my breasts and my ass, his mouth leaving a blazing hot trail on my neck and my shoulders.
I wasn't far behind. Tony's hair was all kinds of messed up thanks to my own hands and his ass found itself in the very same palms far more than once. "It's a shame Bruce doesn't dance," I pouted drunkenly, receiving an equally intoxicated noise of vague approval. "The three of us are perfect," I stated something that had been boiling over in my head quite a bit.
Tony nodded again. "Yeah," He was far more touchy than usual; his lips landed in my hair right next to my ear. "Bet we can get Merlin, though. I saw him with Natasha earlier," Tony went in to kiss my cheek and missed again, sloppily smooching my temple.
"He has no business being that fuckin' hot," I spit out petulantly without a second thought.
"You're fuckin' right and you should say it," Tony agreed instantly, both of us wearing almost identical, indignant expressions. We paused for a moment, looking deeply into each other's eyes - or, well, we tried to. Drinks and drugs tended to make focusing quite hard. "So we're doing this?" Tony squinted questioningly.
"What about Bruce?" I immediately replied, mind going back to the way my sciency boyfriend was smirking at my and Tony's reaction to Stephen's grand entrance.
"He's okayed any and all our ventures provided we tell him about it," Tony said after a moment of stunned silence.
I chewed on my lip in muted amusement. "What's, he's got, like, a kink?" I tried to articulate my confusion. "And we somehow ended up, I mean all three of us - without talking?" I voiced my concerns. This conversation was really overdue and I'll be damned if that weren't the drugs making me talk. I would probably regret it in the morning...
Tony's eyes softened immediately, a palm raising to trace the side of my face lovingly and gently. "Me and Bruce had a conversation about... You. We both liked you, it's fucking impossible to dislike you, have you seen you? We had decided to let you choose at first, woved for it to not get in the way of our friendship..." He trailed off, looking sheepish and slurring his words slightly. The alcohol had loosened his lips too. I felt only the thump of the bassline, music fading away into the background, my ears hearing only the words leaving Tony's mouth. "I doubt it would have worked out anyways. But you..." He cupped my face. "You gave us everything."
I would have cried if not for the chemicals in my system. My mouth formed a smile on it's own accord and I reached closer to slot it over Tony's shaky grin, bringing us into a slow and sloppy kiss that lasted what felt like years. "I love you, okay? You and Bruce," I spit out the words I desperately wanted to say for so long. Nothing really mattered in the moment, it was just me and Tony and our shared feelings. It wasn't bizarre anymore, loving someone and being loved back.
"Me too, Princess, me too," Tony whispered, hiding his face in the crook of my neck. One of the many advantages of having a boyfriend that wasn't a six-foot tall muscle-bound fricking bastard.
"We have a mission," I reminded him after another song slowly transitioned into a different one. "But I'm also craving a cigarette."
Tony's hand encompassesed mine as he led the way to the patio where the smokers area was located. Bucky's shiny metal arm stood out amongst the partygoers and we made a beeline for him. I bummed a cigarette off him despite Steve's prominent frown and Bucky was even gentleman enough to light it up for me.
We needn't have looked for Strange, it was a few minutes after I'd taken my first drag that he appeared, spouting like a mushroom right after a rainfall. He was frowning. "Caught some douchebag trying to roofie a girl," He explained. Barnes gave him a cigarette without question, trading a dark look with Steve. "Natasha and Loki are taking care of it," Strange supplied, jerking a hand towards the back of the room.
Barnes eyed Tony until the latter gave a short, resigned nod. "Just don't do anything that will land me in the papers," The billionaire sighed before speaking several short commands into a bracelet that served as a direct communication device with Friday. "I raised the security monitors for any suspicious activity too. Put in an earpiece and Friday will notify you if someone else tries to act funny," Tony finished darkly, eyeing Stephen's shaking hands.
I choose to stay silent throughout the interaction, letting the pissed off men to blow off some steam before approaching them. Barnes' cigs migrated into my hands and I watched the tense, retreating backs of the super-soldiers until only the three of us were left in a comfortable silence. I waited until the man was done with his cancer stick and promptly grabbed his hands, gently but firmly stroking the scarred skin.
Tony leaned on the railing, watching us with open interest.
Strange cocked a curious eyebrow but didn't retract his hands, releasing a quiet sigh when my movements successfully calmed the tremors. "Contrary to popular belief, I am capable of being... Nice," He spoke after a moment.
"I know," I replied dryly. "But being nice all the time is boring."
"A day with you is never boring," Tony winked at us teasingly, noticing me step further into the sorcerer's personal space. His eyes were still glowing and whatever spell he had put on himself was still working, attracting me to him like a magnet.
Stephen looked to the side, at Tony, then at me, before gently pulling out a single hand and making an elaborate gesture that made his skin briefly shimmer. The unnatural pull disappeared - me and Tony both exhaled heavily - yet the appreciation for Stephen's lithe, agile form remained. He was a beautifully made man.
Tony made his own move, a signature of his, placing a steady palm on the taller man's back and looking up at Stephen through his eyelashes. The fresh air had sobered both of us up by quite a bit and our coordination returned.
Stephen smirked slightly, running his eyes over the crowd of partygoers gathered around us. Nobody was paying any particular attention to the three of us yet all of us were acutely aware how much damage could be done by a stray snapshot, an accidental Snapchat feature, or something drunkenly posted on public social media by an absolute stranger. Tony and Strange threw each other a secretive, heated glance while I pressed myself closer to Tony, still caressing one of Stephen's hands. To the public, it was nothing more than a friendly gesture to help out a close friend out of his discomfort.
"Your place? I'm afraid mine's a mess," Stephen asked, uncharacteristically dorky and overused pick-up line.
"Lead the way," Tony smirked, both of us sharing a muted giggle at the doctor's antics. In response, Stephen extracted his other hand from my grasp and waved them about in the familiar gesture of creating a portal. On the other side of the circle was the familiar scenery of Tony's penthouse bedroom, sheets, as always, unmade and my fluffy socks hanging half-way off the comforter.
I pulled both men into the circle by their forearms, making quick in hopes everybody around us was too drunk to take note of the surroundings on the other side of the portal. An obscenely large bed in plain view didn't leave much space for speculation.
I sat down on it, taking my time to observe the curious interaction between two men in front of me. The sexual tension between them was undeniable, it crackled in the space between their bodies, lit an unholy fire in their eyes. If I was completely honest with myself - Stephen was hot, but Stephen and Tony together, it was out of this world and I would have been very content to just hang back and watch the two of them going at it.
Untying and toeing off my shoes had me distracted for a brief moment - evidently enough for Stephen to lose his pretense and roughly grab Tony by his face, smashing their lips together gracelessly. Tony's hands grasped the expensive fabric of Stephen's blazer with a force that was equal to the one gathering in the low of my belly. The dress I wore was now carefully thrown over a nearby lounge chair, leaving me in a set of golden bra and tiny panties. It was a gift from Tony: he loved when I wore his colors.
My almost bare body got their attention: panting, they broke apart to stare at me, their gazes hungry enough to make me shiver and feel like prey. Tony's arms sandwiched me between them, letting Stephen's lips to taste mine for the first time. The sorcerer did not hesitate, he plunged his tongue into my mouth and immediately seized command of the kiss. He kissed like he fought, sharply, with precision and demand.
I popped the buttons on his shirt as he explored my mouth, finding the skin of his chest taut and textured with a multitude of smaller, thinner scars. He was built like a runner, or a swimmer, all lean muscle and sculpted hipbones and neatly stacked ribs. His shirt suffered a haste demise.
The thuds and jingles accompanied by quiet cursing behind my back alerted me to Tony's struggle with his intricately made costume. "Can you boom-boom-whoosh it away?" I asked Stephen.
He pulled away with an amused smirk, waving his glowing hands about. "Do what now?"
"It's what the internet calls your voodoo shit, don't quote me," Tony snarked, suddenly finding himself wearing only his boxers. I was promptly pulled to his chest, in what I knew was a defensive gesture - he hated showing off the scarred area around his arc reactor. He used to hide it from me, too.
Stephen hummed, once again waving his hands about in a surprisingly complicated set of motions. I was mesmerised by his hands - even despite the injuries, they remained as skilled and perplexing. Once Stephen was left in his underwear, I wasted no time in detaching from Tony and steering the sorcerer to fall freely into the large bed.
"You need to stop being so smug," I stated, climbing on top of Stephen and claiming his lips for myself. "It's bound to get you in trouble."
"Is that so?" And still, the man looked as satisfied as the cat who ate the canary. That just won't do.
"Tones, help me out, I'm trying to see smtn'," I asked, feeling the man settle in next to me and trace a gentle hand down my side, over my breast and down to the flat of Stephen's belly. The man under me shivered, face slowly heating up.
"Yes, dear?" My engineer supplied helpfully.
"Off," With a sudden change of pace, I snapped the elastic of Stephen's boxers, causing the man to jump and the very sizeable bulge in them twitch. Tony obediently pulled down the offending piece of clothing, causing Stephen to groan as the cool air hit the heated flesh of his most sensitive spots.
I settled between his thighs, spitting in my palm and giving his long cock a few solid strokes, enjoying the way his hips seemed to involuntarily follow the movement of my slick palm.
"I'd brace myself if I were you," Tony remarked teasingly, bending down to kiss the sorcerer again. Between my and Tony's mouths, Steph really didn't stand a chance.
The obscenely long moan that left his mouth was swallowed by Tony as my lips and tongue made to wrap around the very tip of Stephen's cock. I tasted the musk and the salt of him as I made down his long cock, taking extra time to warm up my throat for the incoming intrusion. And when I finally swallowed him, to the hilt, I swear I felt the way his body shook.
There was a lot more noise coming from the two men - I briefly lifted my eyes to see Stephen sucking a hickey onto the side of Tony's neck with a vigour, Tony's hand holding onto Stephen's hair as the taller man palmed the shorter man's bulge through his boxers.
I was pretty sure my juices were flowing down my thighs. The two men were a Sight; the drugs and booze in my system had me reaching new levels of arousal, levels I previously didn't even know existed. A needy noise left my lips, muffled by the delicious cock stretching them and I knew it was time to grant myself the thing I had been craving for so long.
Swiftly, I pulled off Stephen's cock and sat down into his lap, grinding my panty-covered mound atop his erection that laid on his belly, twitching and leaking. "You want a condom? We're clean and I'm on birth control," I offered.
"I'm clean, feel free to..." Stephen detached his mouth from Tony just long enough to mutter consent, immediately going back to taste the engineer's skin and mark it with his lips and teeth. By the time I she'd my underwear and slid down on his sizeable cock, I had noticed the necklace of blues and reds decorating Tony's neck and clavicles.
"Fuck, yessss..." I hissed, the emptiness within me finally fed. Experimentally raising my hips up and down a few times, I quickly found a rhythm that made for sinful noises to fall from both of our lips. Tony was whining, too, in impatience. "Tony, wanna try something?"
That piqued his interest. He looked at me, eyes unfocused and blown with lust. "Hm?" As Steph continued satiating his hunger for Tony's skin.
I carefully considered it before speaking. "Get behind me," I ordered breathily, slowing my pace just enough to keep me tethering on the brink of release.
"We need lube," He mumbled immediately, catching my drift - well, not quite.
"Nope, we don't. I can take both of you," I stated, bending over and spreading my legs a little wider. With Tony and Bruce, it would have been impossible considering the fact that Bruce's cock was as thick as a fuckin' coke can, but with Stephen being a little more reasonably sized... I must admit, I was curious. It certainly looked interesting enough in porn. Plus, it would allow the two men to feel each other-
"Fuckin' hell," Stephen groaned, one hand gripping my hip to steady himself. So that was a definite yes. "Princess, you're killing me here."
Tony took all of a whole second to get in position and spit in his hand, adding extra lubrication just in case. Thoughtful Tony. He needn't have worried, however - every inch from my thighs to Steph's balls was covered in my juices. To say that I was turned on would have been a massive fuckin' understatement.
"Fu-uck, you're so good, baby," Tony groaned. I felt the tip of his cock breach and stretch my entrance, finding the sting not painful but rather pleasurable. Inch by inch, I felt myself open up. The sensations were incredibly powerful, my release approaching even despite the steady slow movements that Tony was making.
"Harder," I begged, feeling my release approach with the force of a freight train. Both men complied, falling into a careful but powerful rhythm, shaking me to the core with each precise thrust. It didn't take long for me to clench and spasm around the cocks, making both men pick up the pace, their movements turning sloppy. My own imagination supplied the extra mile, figuring their cocks rubbing against each other inside my sloppy wet hole made it feel twice as intense.
Tony wrapped his forearm around my throat, putting a healthy arch to my back - I didn't know whose cock was hitting just the right spot and I didn't care. My eyes met Stephen's - he was watching me come undone, worrying his lip between his teeth, his own eyes darting between my and Tony's face. In a split second decision, I took hold of one of his hands and popped the index and middle fingers into my mouth, softly sucking on them, covering the digits in my little gasps and moans
Stephen's back arched and Tony groaned, stuttering his hips in response. As soon as the little crease between the sorcerer's eyebrows made a humble appearance, he was coming. "Fuck!" He yelped hoarsely, painting my insides and Tony's cock white. The engineer dropped his head onto my shoulders, panting, getting a few stuttered thrusts and he was coming, too, jerking almost violently behind me.
Him shoving his cock as deeply as possible within me triggered another wave of bliss for me. I followed the two men, gasping around the fingers in my mouth and behind the unyielding strength of Tony's arm. I felt wrung out, like a paper bag scrunched up and used...
In the best way. It was incredibly hot. The realisation that I had been marked by two glorious men from the inside out made me shiver and the men in question twitch in response to the involuntary flutter my pussy had done from my thoughts.
"Woah," Tony mumbled, gently pulling out of my sore and sloppy hole.
"Yeah," Stephen was finally speechless and tranquil. A picture of serendipity, really, with his arm thrown comfortably over his head and a sated little smirk on his face.
I couldn't resist pecking him on the lips as I slid off his body to nest myself between him and Tony who still seemed to be catching his breath. "You should be like this more often," I stated, feeling myself slip into drowsiness.
"Gimme a reason," Stephen mumbled, barely a trace of his usual sarcasm.
"Oh we will," Tony finished darkly, throwing a sheet over the three of us and settling a comfortable arm across my waist, palm flat on Stephen's tummy. Last thing I heard before I fell into a deep sleep was Stephen's blunt nails scratching softly along Tony's scalp.

In Another Life
Bucky Barnes x reader ° part nine
Summary: Waiting 88 years to find your soulmate? It was cruel. But it was a cruel fate Bucky would have to face whether he accepted it or not. Bucky was a tortured man all his life and he wasn't even granted the solace of having his soulmate at his side. All he had was the promise of one in another life. They were separated by two different times.
But the pain in their lives were connected.
Y/n had been alone ever since she could remember. All she could depend on was the soulmate that was destined to be at her side. Yet when the snap occured she lost him.
And Bucky never got to meet her.
Tumblr media
After a successful run of the machine, Clint was a firm believer in time travel. Though he had only briefly visited the past, hearing his daughter's voice for a moment had locked in his devotion. Tony, Rocket and Y/n all shared a mutual relief and joy from such a break in science yet their celebration couldn't last long.
With the time travel machine completed, the team they had managed to pull together gathered to come up with a plan. Finding the infinity stones, something Y/n had taken upon herself to study the past few weeks, was difficult especially when they had to find an exact moment in which that stone was accessible.
They spent hours talking to one another about what they knew about the stones. It was frustrating not having all the information and they even found themselves strung out across the floor or furniture in thought.
"Guys, what about New York?" Y/n questioned, laying with her head on Nat's stomach while Tony was at her side.
"Wait, yeah. Pick the right year and there are three stones in New York." Nat agreed. Tony shifted beside Y/n making her groan as she involuntarily moved to accommodate him.
"Shut the front door." Bruce gasped, peeking up at them from the ground. Y/n looked up at Nat sharing a proud smirk with her as the two men discussed the discovery.
Eventually they figured out a plan, one that got them all the stones. Steve, Tony, Bruce and Scott would go back to the Battle of New York in 2012 to get the Time stone, Tesseract and Scepter. Nebula, Rhodey, Nat and Clint would travel to 2014 to get the Orb in Morag as well as the Soul Stone in Vormir. Y/n wasn't sure where that was but she was grateful she didn't have to go to such a menacing sounding place. Thor and Rocket opted to go to Asgard in 2013 to extract the Aether from a woman named Jane Foster. All the while, Y/n would stay in case something went wrong so she could bring them back.
The GPS tech Tony had made was given to each member and when activated it gave them suits able to withstand time and space. After a little tinkering with Tony she managed to help give each suit its own quality which matched the wearer but all sported the famous Avengers symbol. That she made sure of.
"Five years ago, we lost. All of us. We lost friends...we lost family…we lost soulmates...we lost a part of ourselves. Today, we have a chance to take it all back." Steve began, sharing a short glance with Tony then Y/n. She was nervous. So painfully nervous. If this went wrong, they had nothing to lose anyways. This wasn't what worried her, however. What if they did succeed? What if her soulmate came back? Was she ready for that?
"You know your teams, you know your missions. Get the stones, get them back. One round trip each. No mistakes. No do-overs. Most of us are going somewhere we know. But it doesn't mean we should know what to expect. Be careful. Look out for each other. This is the fight of our lives. And we're gonna win." Y/n watched from the control panel as they all formed a circle on the machine.
She had heard speeches from him before but never one quite like that. Saving people brought out another side of him, one she admired greatly.
"Whatever it takes. Good luck." Steve said, sharing a look with Tony. They were friends in that moment and they allowed themselves to put their past behind them.
"He's pretty good at that." Rocket nodded in approval, earning a thrilled nod from Scott.
"Right?" Scott exclaimed, unable to contain his excitement. Steve sighed giving the two a stern look but Y/n knew he was only embarrassed. She shot him a playful wink, smiling at the grin that appeared on his face from it.
"All right. You heard the man. Stroke those keys, shrink." Tony called over to Y/n. She shook her head, giving him a short glare to which he only chuckled.
"Trackers engaged." Y/n announced. Tony gave her a nod and she couldn't help but feel a little pride. She had never thought she'd meet her idol let alone become so close with him. And though he'd never admit it, she could tell he'd grown used to her presence during their weeks together.
"You promise to bring that back in one piece, right?" Rocket said suddenly, eyeing Clint threateningly. Clint's face was pale and he obviously seemed nervous with what they were doing as he stared down at the shrunken Benatar in his hand.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. I'll do my best." Clint said, giving Rocket a forced reassuring smile. Rocket seemed unconvinced as he crossed his arms.
"As promises go, that was pretty lame." He mumbled, looking over at Y/n to back him up. She offered him a shrug, double checking projections of the controls.
"See you in a minute." Nat joked to Steve, an excited smile falling on her lips. She was the happiest Y/n had ever seen her now that there was a chance of bringing everyone back. The whole plan had brought everyone together and made them hopeful and Y/n refused to think about what would happen if it didn't work. It had to.
The team allowed their helmets to come forward, each with a matching expression of anxiety yet determination. They had all felt responsible for the death of the world but they were certain they'd fix it no matter what. And from her point of view, it terrified her. If there was one thing Y/n knew, it was that desperation made people do dire things.
"Good luck." They all activated their trackers and Y/n pressed the green button to send them off. Each shrunk and disappeared into the platform of the machine, leaving Y/n alone. She shifted her gaze to the timer beside the button as it counted down from 60 seconds.
The minute was agonizing as she watched the small dots of where her friends were through their trackers. It was horrible just being able to watch and hope that nothing happened to them.
As it reached the final few seconds she realized that was the case as Steve and Tony jumped to 1970 making her heart stop for a moment. What was she supposed to do? Could she bring them back from the control panel? Had they run out of fuel?
Thankfully, all her panicked thoughts washed away as the group returned, noticing Steve and Tony among them with a sigh of relief. But by looking up she missed the blinking red light where Nat's tracker once was.
The machine powered down and they retracted their suits, looking around at one another for the stones. Y/n let out an airy laugh, glancing down at the control panel to shut it off but the single light made her heart stop. It blinked slowly sending an overwhelming amount of despair through her as the room was filled with excited and even disbelieving comments.
"Did we get them all?" Bruce questioned, looking around at their hands. Most were quiet after going back in time but as Y/n looked up at Clint she realized he'd been quiet for a different reason.
"You telling me this'll actually work?" Rhodey asked, scoffing at how the insane plan was actually coming together. Yet no one answered him as Y/n walked over onto the platform, pacing toward Clint.
"Clint, where's Nat?" Y/n demanded, her voice trembling. The fear in her tone sent the same dread the two felt through everyone else and they all stared at where Nat once stood in dismay. Clint fell to his knees, his expression numb and his eyes red.
She couldn't be gone. There was still so much Y/n hadn't said. So much she hadn't thanked her friend for. There were too many good things that Nat still deserved. But she was gone.
"Where is she?" Y/n asked, once more, tears stinging at the corners of her eyes.
Everyone knew what had happened even if Clint refused to speak. Tears fell down Y/n's cheeks and she turned away, finding Steve at her side to pull her into his arms. She cried softly into his chest, hearing Bruce behind her fall to his own knees and pound a fist into the machine.
•••
It took a very long time before Y/n or Clint spoke again. Though Y/n hadn't known Nat as long as Clint had, Nat had been one of the only people Y/n had left. If this worked, Clint could have his family back but Y/n would still only have the people in that room. And even they had lives they'd return to.
As Y/n sat there on the dock listening to the soft sound of water as it peacefully splashed, she realized why she should've never helped. Everytime she tried to help, something went wrong. Everytime she tried to be something she wasn't, someone lost their life. She couldn't do this anymore.
She'd sat through the discussion they'd had about Nat and how she'd given her life for the stone. It wasn't fair but Y/n knew Nat made the choice. She did exactly what Y/n had feared and she felt like an idiot for letting Nat go. She could've said something.
Once they'd left, Y/n stayed behind knowing she wouldn't be able to face anyone for a while. She'd dealt with loss before and from a psychiatrist standpoint she usually handled it exceedingly well. But this time was different.
"Hey." Steve spoke softly, sitting beside her. She didn't reply but Steve anticipated this, allowing her to sit quietly.
"You know it's not your fault. Nat made a choice." Steve said, trying to give her a little solace. Y/n shook her head, groaning at how much guilt weighed down on her.
"No, it is my fault. Nat's life ended when the snap happened, I should've known she would've done anything to fix it." Y/n said, wiping her eyes hastily. Steve cautiously put his hand on her shoulder, having never seen her like this. It was awful seeing someone he had watched help hundreds of people, himself included, break before him. It felt awful being unable to do anything to help her in return.
"There's no way you could've known." He murmured his voice barely above a hurt whisper. She shook her head again, standing up suddenly and pointing to her chest.
"I did, though. Deep down I knew but I was so caught up in being a hero for you and everyone else, I forgot to do the only thing I'm good for! I can't do this, Steve!" She cried. As much as she fought it, her tears returned out of frustration, these burning down her raw cheeks.
Steve believed in her and that's why he wanted her to stay but she had crumbled under the pressure and now Nat was dead. She couldn't be the hero he and Nat wanted her to be and she refused to jeopardize the plan with her presence.
"I'm leaving. I'm sorry but I just can't do this anymore." She said void of emotion as she pushed past him to walk off the dock. Steve stood, his heart racing and his eyes watering as he watched her storm off. He wanted to apologize, say anything to make her stay. He had dragged her into this afterall.
But something she said had stopped him.
"I never asked you to be a hero." He blurted making her freeze dead in her tracks. Her blood ran cold and she slowly turned to him, confusion creased in her brow.
"What?" She questioned, not daring to look back. Steve took a cautious step forward, his own brow furrowing as he tried to piece together what she had said moments before.
"I never asked you to be a hero, I just asked you to be there for me." Y/n flinched, realizing what she had said. Then her promise to Nat resurfaced. The last thing Nat had asked of her was to tell Steve of her past. And she couldn't even do that.
"Forget it."
"No. Please, Y/n. What have you been hiding? There's so much about you I don't know and I never asked because I trust you but I need to know now." Steve demanded, staring at her back as she refused to turn to him. "You're one of the last people I have left, I have to know I can trust you!" Steve pleaded.
It was too late now, Y/n knew that. Steve was set on getting an answer and he was never one to give up. But she desperately needed him to. Her past was terrible, sure, but there was so much that came with it.
Did she only become his friend because she was SHIELD once? Was he a mission? Did she even care about him? These were questions she knew he would ask and she couldn't bare to lose him because he believed that yet again someone close to him was only close because he was a job.
"You can trust me!" She insisted but it went through one ear and out the other.
"Prove it. Tell me the truth." Steve begged. "What was so horrible that you have to bury it all inside? What are you so afraid of?!"
That was the last straw. The thread she'd been clinging to snapped and she now fell into the despair and guilt that had consumed her all those years ago.
"You wanna know about my past?!" She snapped, turning to face him. "I was naive and righteous! I was smart, so smart that I thought I could be a hero too!" Y/n shouted, frustrated tears welling in her eyes. "I joined SHIELD and worked with Fury to become the next generation of avengers. I trained and worked and fought to be like you! To be a hero! But you know what it got me?!" The question was harsh and Steve flinched at it. He'd never seen her erupt like this before. Never saw her break or scream until her lungs were sore.
She was done. Done hiding, done running. She was tired of hating who she was. Tired of being unable to forgive the mistakes of a child.
Steve was silent. It was a lot to process, she knew that but his silence unsettled her. There was no set response she was expecting from him but no response at all was definitely not something she foresaw or wanted. She wanted him to yell back. To hate her for keeping it all from him. Or even to demand she leave. Anything but silence.
"I put a target on my back and those I loved. My brain was used for HYDRA without my knowledge and when I was finished, they killed my family and tried to take me." She finished, tears rolling down her cheeks in a pitiful way. It was weak and pathetic but she couldn't help it. Not once had she ever confessed the full truth before. Never had she unleashed everything that ate her up inside.
"They sent their favorite assassin that day, the day I lost everything. I nearly died." She confessed, her voice on the verge of breaking as sobs racked her shoulders.
Not a word was spoken but he moved. He stepped forward, grabbing hold of her and pulling her to him. There was more silence. But she was okay with it this time. Steve had said a lot in his lifetime. But with Y/n actions spoke louder than words. So that was what he did.
And in that simple hug he was able to tell her it was alright. The guilt and shame she'd felt towards herself was enough and honestly Steve didn't feel the same. He felt sad. Sad for her.
"Who did HYDRA send?"
He hadn't meant to ask. It was the least appropriate time to do so but it had been drilling into his skull since she'd first mentioned the organization he'd been fighting all his life.
He needed to know. To confirm what she'd told him, even if he feared the truth she'd offer.

Flashback in Bold.
Tumblr media
At night, a slum in India it attacked by a sickness. A little girl runs into the middle of a makeshift hospital in someone's home, pushing through the crowd frantically. She runs up the steps inside to greet the only doctor, Bruce Banner.
“What are you doing here?! Get out! You shouldn't be here.”  The Women scolded.
“I have to see the doctor. It's my father.” The little Girl explained.
“Calm down. What's wrong?” Bruce Asked.
“My father...” she looks to the other sick people, laying down and moaning in pain.
“Is he like them?” Bruce wondered.
The little girl holds out money, crumpled and looking desperate. “Please.”
Banner and the little girl run quickly to the edge of town. She leads him quickly through narrow passageways, and is proving too fast to keep up with. Banner spots a nice car, and looks around, worried. He runs into the girls house, when she leaves through a window, untraceable.
“Should have gotten paid up front, Banner.” Bruce scoffed.
Natasha entering the room behind him, making Banner turn around. “You know, for a man who's supposed to be avoiding stress, you picked a hell of a place to settle.”
“Avoiding stress isn't the secret.” Bruce started.
“Then, what is it? Yoga?” Natasha said sounding unduly curious.
“You brought me to the edge of the city, smart. I uh... assume the whole place is surrounded?” Bruce wondered.
“Just you and me.” Natasha say trying to convince Bruce.
“And your actress buddy, is she a spy too? Do they start that young?” Bruce  wondered.
“I did.”
“Who are you?”
“Natasha Romanoff.”
“Are you here to kill me, Miss Romanoff? Because that's not gonna work out for everyone.” Bruce explained.
“No. No. Of course not. I'm here on behalf of Shield.” Natasha replied
“Shield. How did they find me?” Bruce questioned.
“We never lost you, doctor. We've kept our distance, even helped keep some other interested parties off your scent.”
“Why?”
“Nick Fury seems to trust you. But now I need you to come in.”
“What if I said no?” Bruce stated.
“I'll persuade you.” Natasha said in a voice soft.
“And what if the... other guy says no?” Bruce said uncertainly
“You’ve been more than a year without an incident. I don't think you wanna break that streak.” Natasha replied.
Bruce gently pushing a cradle. “I don't always get what I want.”
“Doctor, we're facing a potential global catastrophe.” Natasha commented.
“Well, those I actively try to avoid.” Bruce mumbled.
“This is the Tesseract. It has the potential energy to wipe out the planet.” She shows him a photo of the Tesseract on her cell phone. Banner takes a closer look.
“What does Fury want me to do? Swallow it? Bruce said in a sarcastic voice.
“Well, he wants you to find it. It's been taken. It emits a gamma signature that's too weak for us to trace. There's no one that knows gamma radiation like you do. If there was, that's where I'd be.” Natasha explained.
“So Fury isn't after the monster? Bruce hesitated.
“Not that he's told me.” Natasha replied.
“And he tells you everything?” Bruce queried
“Talk to Fury, he needs you on this.”
“He needs me in a cage?”
“No one's gonna put you in a...”
“STOP LYING TO ME!” Banner slams his fists onto the table.
Natasha grabs a gun hidden under the table, pointing it at him. Banner stays still, grinning.
“I'm sorry, that was mean. I just wanted to see what you'd do. Why don't we do this the easy way, where you don't use that, and the other guy doesn't make a mess? Okay? Natasha...”
Natasha, still wary, doesn't lower her gun. She lowers her gun and speaks into her earpiece.
“Stand down. We're good here.”
Dozens of soldiers armed to the teeth have surrounded the small house, but at her signal they back off a bit.
Bruce smiles back at Natasha. “Just you and me?”

This isn’t real that’s all Y/n could think about as she walked home. The rain hammered against the roof of a nerdy houses, thunder rumbled as The dark sky was lit up by lightning flashing across.All she wanted to do was believe that Magneto was lying but she knew he was telling the truth. She knew it her mother is alive, has been this entire time.
Get it under control calm down. Come on remember what Gambit said “don’t let it control you you control it.”
Y/n was slowly starting to lose control. She was starting to hear what everyone around her was thinking and then Y/n starts to hear a ringing noise. Can deal with a sound Y/n place her hands around her head in a way to stop the voices.
“Excuse me, Miss are you alright?” Someone asked Y/n as he gently grab her on the shoulders.
Y/n looks up to the person in front of her and see red eyes. “Remy?”
“Is that someone I can call for you?” The man that looks like Remy asked.
Y/n finally comes to she realizes that the man in front of her is not with me not even trying to hide her disappointment she nods no, then walks away then her phone begins to ringing and vibrate in her pocket. She fishes her phone out of her pocket and then pushes answer.
“Hello?”
“Where are you because I know you’re not in Sydney, Australia.” Said Coulson.
“Walking home.” Y/n answered  honestly. “Why?”
“There’s someone I need you to pick up tomorrow. Is that some thing you can do?” Coulson voiced.
“I’ll be bright eyed and bushy tail.” Y/n said Tightly.
“I’ll send you all the information.”  Coulson replied. “Is something wrong?”
“You’re supposed to ask questions because I’m an agent and you’re my superior officer.” Y/n said in a dry tone.
“I’m asking this question as a person who’ve known you since you were ten.” Coulson replied.
“No it’s not.” Y/n answered. “But um..I’m gonna go home and watch some Y/t until I fall asleep.”
“Ok i’ll see you tomorrow.”
Y/n hangs up the phone.

Inside a Shield analytical room, filled with monitors of partially silhouetted people. Fury stands in the middle, frowning. They make up the World Security Council.
“This is out of line, Director. You're dealing with forces you can't control.” Council Member 1 commented.
“You ever been in a war, Councilman? In a firefight? Did you feel an overabundance of control?”  Nick said in a level tone.
“You saying that this Asgard has declared war on our planet?” Council Member 1  wondered.
“Not Asgard, Loki.” Nick corrected
“He can't be working alone. What about the other one? His brother.” Council Member 2 Chimed in.
“Our intelligence says, Thor is not a hostile. But he's worlds away, we can't depend on him to help. It's up to us.” Nick answered.
“Which is why you should be focusing on phase 2, it was designed for exactly...” Council Member 1 trailed off.
“PHASE 2 isn't ready, our enemy is. We need a response team.” Nick stressed.
“The Avengers Initiative was shut down.” Council Member 1 told Nick Fury.
“This isn't about The Avengers.” Nick Remarked.
“We're running the world's greatest covert security network and you're gonna leave the fate of human race to a handful of freaks.”
“I'm not leaving anything to anyone. We need a response team. These people maybe isolated, unbalanced even, but I believe with the right push they can be exactly what we need.”
“You believe?” Council Member 2 Chimed in.
“War isn't won by sentiment, Director.” Council Member 1 noted.
“No, it's won by soldiers.”  Nick replied.

A brooklyn gym at night. Occupied by one man, beating a punching bag in the gym lights, alone in the floor, lost in the fight. The gym is old, as old as the man inside, Steve Rogers. Steve punched the bag, easily a hundred pounds, across the room with one swing snapping the metal chain and pummeling it back a dozen feet, sand spilling out from where he cracked the fabric. He stands up, breathing hard, and grabs another bag, resuming a more normal routine. Fury walks in.
“Trouble sleeping?” Nick Announced.
“I slept for seventy years, sir. I think I've had my fill.” Steve answered.
“Then you should be out, celebrating, seeing the world.” Nick replied.
Steve stops punching and walks over to the bench, unraveling the tape off his hands. He sits down.
“I went under, the world was at war, I wake up, they say we won. They didn't say what we lost.” Steve explained.
“We've made some mistakes along the way. Some very recently.” Nick commented.
“You here with a mission, sir?” Steve wondered.
“I am.”
“Trying to get me back in the world?” Steve supposed
“Trying to save it.”  Fury hands Steve a file on the Tesseract, along with other files on Hydra’s  projects.
“Hydra's secret weapon.” Steve disclosed.
“Howard Stark fished that out of the ocean when he was looking for you. He thought what we think, the Tesseract could be the key to unlimited sustainable energy. That's something the world sorely needs.” Nick explained.
“Who took it from you?” Steve wondered.
“He's called Loki. He's not from around here. There's a lot we'll have to bring you up to speed on if you're in. The world has gotten even stranger than you already know.” Nick shared.
“At this point, I doubt anything would surprise me.”  Steve put forth.
“Ten bucks says you're wrong. There's a debriefing package waiting for you back at your apartment.” Nick started.
Steve turns and picks up a punching bag. Fury starts walking out of the gym.
“Is there anything you can tell us about the Tesseract that we ought to know now?” Nick finished
Steve without missing a beat. “You should have left it in the ocean.”

Out in the Atlantic Ocean, Tony Stark, in his Iron Man suit, is cutting a pipeline transport with a laser cutter coming from his hand. He then places a Stark Energy Reactor. It lights up. Iron Man rockets out of the water and flies towards Stark Tower.
“You're good on this end. The rest is up to you.”
Pepper Potts on the other line. “You disconnected the transition lines? Are we off the grid?”
“Stark Tower is about to become a beacon of self-sustaining clean energy.” Tony grinned.
“Wow. So maybe our reactor takes over, and it actually works?” Pepper supposed.
Inside the Suit, Pepper appears on his hud Monitor.
“I assume. Light her up.” Iron Man flies to the Stark Tower Building, the power is switched on the Stark sign lights up.
“How does it look?” Pepper asked.
“Like Christmas, but with more... me.” Tony answered.
“Gotta go wider on the public awareness campaign. You need to do some press. I'm in DC tomorrow. I'm working on the zoning for the next three buildings.” Pepper revealed.
“Pepper, you're killing me. Remember the moment? Enjoy the moment.” Tony proclaimed.
“Then get in here and I will.” Pepper requested.
Tony arrives at his skyscraper penthouse and is in the process of taking off his Iron Man suit through a hi-tech gauntlet of gadgets.
“Sir, Agent Coulson of Shield is on the line.” Jarvis informed Tony.
“I'm not in. I'm actually out.” Tony remarked.
“Sir, I'm afraid he's insisting.” Jarvis stressed.
“Grow a spine, Jarvis. I got a date.”  Tony teased.
Pepper Potts stares up at the monitors of the reactor device. “Levels are holding steady... I think.”
“Of course they are, I was directly involved. Which brings me to my next question: how does it feel to be a genius?”  Tony asked.
“Well, ha, I really wouldn't know now, would I?” Pepper replied.
“What do you mean? All this came from you.”
“No. All this came from that.” Pepper Said Pointing to the energy in his chest plate.
“Give yourself some credit, please. Stark Tower is your baby. Give yourself... twelve percent of the credit.” Tony disclosed.
“Twelve percent?” Pepper voiced.
“An argument can be made for fifteen.” Tony pointed out.
“Twelve percent? Of my baby?”
“Well, I did do all the heavy lifting. Literally, I lifted the heavy things. And sorry, but the security snafu? That was on you.”
“Oooooh.”
“My private elevator...”
“You mean our elevator?”
“Was steaming with sweaty workmen. I'm going to pay for that comment about percentages in some subtle way later, aren't I?” Tony wondered.
Pepper pours herself and Tony a glass of
champagne. “Not gonna be that subtle.”
“I'll tell you what. Next building's gonna say 'Potts' on the tower.” Tony disclosed.
“On the lease.” Pepper murmured.
“Call your mom, can you bunk over?” Tony asked.
“Sir, the telephone. I'm afraid my protocols are being overwritten.” Jarvis stuttered.
“Stark, we need to talk.” Coulson Announced.
Tony picks up his phone and looks into it at Coulson. “You have reached the life model decoy of Tony Stark, please leave a message.”
“This is urgent.”
“Then leave it urgently.” At that moment the elevator door opens and Coulson appears. “Security breach.” Tony turns and looks a Pepper “That's on you.”
“Mr. Stark” Coulson started.
“Phil! Come in.”  Pepper beamed.
“Phil? Uh, his first name is Agent.” Tony remarked
“Come on in, we're celebrating.” Pepper
“I can't stay.” Coulson told Pepper.
“Which is why he can't stay.” Tony agreed with Coulson.
“We need you to look this over.”  Coulson said as he holds out a file towards Tony. “Soon as possible.”
“I don't like being handed things.” Tony voiced.
“That's alright, 'cause I love to be handed things. So, let's trade.” Pepper said as She pases her glass of champagne to Coulson, takes the file from him, then takes Tony's glass of champagne while passing the file over to Tony. “Thank you.”
“Official consulting hours are between eight and five every other Thursday.” Tony disclosed.
“This isn't a consultation.” Coulson replied.
“Is this about The Avengers? Which I...I know nothing about.” Pepper lied.
“The Avengers Initiative was scrapped, I thought. And I didn't even qualify.”  Tony pointed out.
“I didn't know that either.” Pepper lied. Again.
“Yeah, apparently I'm volatile, self-obsessed, don't play well with others.” Tony explained
“That I did know.” Pepper commented.
“This isn't about personality profiles anymore.” Coulson stated.
“Whatever. Miss Potts, got a minute?” Pepper walks over to Tony who places the files into his own databases. “You know, I thought we were having a moment.”
“I was having twelve percent of a moment. This seems serious, Phil's pretty shaken.” Pepper replied.
“How did you notice? Why is he Phil?” Tony questioned.
“What is all of this?” Pepper asked ignoring Tony’s previous question.
“This is, uh....” Tony expands his arms and different profiles appear in holographic form floating in the air in front of Tony and Pepper.
Screens appear of Captain America in action, the Hulk roaring as he attacks the army at Culver University, and Thor and Y/n fighting the Destroyer in New Mexico. Another is of Loki and the Tesseract to which Tony and Pepper look at in awe.
“I'm going to take the jet to DC tonight.” Pepper Announced
“Tomorrow.”
“You've got homework. You've got a lot of homework.”
“Well, what if I didn't?”
“If you didn't?”
“Yeah.”
“You mean if you finished?” Pepper asked and Tony nods his head. “Well, um...then.” Pepper whispers something into Tony’s ear making him gasps. While Coulson looks away in embarrassment.
“Square deal. It's the last date.” Tony answered.
Pepper kisses him.”Work hard.”
As Pepper leaves with Agent Coulson, Tony grabs the Tesseract in holograph form, worried.

Thor/Tony. What if Thor is courting Tony Asgardian style, but Tony being well Tony doesn't totally understand but is all kinds of confused/smitten. Bruce is just watching amused before stepping in to tell Thor that Tony is not good with subtle and needs a more direct approach? Smut is welcome but fluff is fine as well :)
The Avengers had defeated Loki and his army of aliens. They had secured the Tesseract. They had been ready to celebrate victory – and then everything had gone awry.
Tony had a heart-attack, probably an aftermath of going through the portal and temporarily dying there. Thor revived him using his lightning, but Loki used the distraction and turmoil to escape – stealing the Tesseract in the process. Steve, all the while, was busy battling Loki who had shapeshifted into Steve to mess with his head.
That, of course, changed their plans. What was only supposed to be one mission, one fight, turned into an actual... team. A project. They had to track down Loki and they had to find the Tesseract.
For convenience purposes, the team moved into Stark Tower, to have a headquarters. Tony easily designed floors for each of the Avengers, which was honestly all he got to do being tied to the bed. Figuratively, sadly, because literally would at least be fun. But oh no, you nearly die twice in one day and everyone suddenly fusses over you. How annoying.
It wasn't that annoying though, if Tony was honest. Nat had bought shawarma for them all and they ate around Tony's hospital bed, with Clint in the next bed over to get checked over after the mind-control. It had been the very first moment of team-bonding, actual bonding.
/break\
"Blueberries?"
"Thank you, Tony", smiled Jane in amusement as she accepted the treat.
She popped the blueberry into her mouth before returning her attention to the blackboard. Old-fashioned. It was more fun that way, or so Jane claimed. Tony and Bruce rolled with it and honestly, it really was more fun than a white-board. This was how the science trio had been sciencing for the past three months now. Ever since the battle of New York.
They had brought Jane Foster in, as the Earthly expert on Asgard and Loki. Honestly, Tony didn't understand why they hadn't called her during the battle of New York already, she would have been an asset to Tony and Bruce. Well, better late than never, Tony supposed.
Now Tony had two live-in scientists to science with. Even though Jane had started out as being Thor's ex-girlfriend (disappearing to Asgard for months without calling was a sure way to end a relationship), there was no ill-will between them. Jane and Thor still shared a deep connection, a deep friendship, and Thor respected her scientific knowledge and was grateful to have her help them try to track down Loki. Tony loved it. Loved having Bruce and Jane with him here.
Well, he loved having the Avengers here in general. Tony Stark had never been a pack-person. His parents had lived isolated, the closest he had ever come to having a pack had been his parents and the Jarvises. Then his parents had died in a car accident and Ana and Edwin... Tony was alone.
He had met Rhodey at MIT and he had Obie, but then Rhodey left for the army and further down the road, Obie betrayed Tony, betrayed him so deeply. And Tony, he found it hard to trust anyone. Only those he knew he could trust, even more so than he had thought to trust Obie. Rhodey, Pepper, Happy. Those were his people, but it was hardly a pack.
They said omegas needed a pack. Tony had always scoffed at that, because he never knew pack.
Now? Now that he had a pack? He finally understood. He understood what it meant to have a pack and he understood how much it meant. The safety, the comfort, the warmth.
It was the first time, since Edwin and Ana Jarvis had died, that Tony felt like he had a family. Yes, sure, he had Rhodey, Pepper and Happy, but – Rhodey was mostly gone, the job required it, and Tony had never actually lived with a pack before; Pepper and Happy lived together somewhere else, a happy couple. Now however, Tony had a pack, had a pack living with him.
"I don't think we'll ever find Loki", sighed Bruce exhausted.
He collapsed backward in his chair some, tilting his head back. Tony nudged him and pushed the bowl of blueberries toward him as a pick-me-up. It earned him a wry smile from the exhausted scientist and Bruce grabbed a handful of blueberries to eat.
"I mean, sure, we've been hunting him for over three months yet and sure, he keeps slipping away and sure, he is constantly making fun of us and—I think I lost my train of thought..."
"Your point, Tony", sighed Jane fondly. "Was that we can't just give up."
"Right. That. Thank you, star lady", nodded Tony pleased.
Jane smiled and shook her head as she exchanged a look with Bruce.
/break\
"What's with the pacing?", asked Clint.
The omega had his feet in his alpha's lap, with Nat having the fingers of one hand circled around one of Clint's ankles, while Clint was sharpening an arrow. It was a nice, calm afternoon where most of the Avengers were gathered in the common room. Natasha was holding a controller with her other hand, single-handedly beating Steve at Mario Kart.
"Thor's due to return today", replied Bruce without looking up. "And Nat, I really think you should let Steve win every now and again. This isn't good for the captain's morale."
"My morale is fine, Banner!", countered Steve. "I'll win the next round."
Bruce chuckled softly and exchanged a knowing look with Natasha. Jane and Darcy were sitting at the table with Bruce, sorting through newspapers, printed articles and magazines – most recent mentions and sightings of Loki. Darcy was mostly looking on the internet usually, though she often admitted defeat because sorting between legitimate sightings and thirst posts was hard.
"Wait. You people are talking about me", stated Tony as he abruptly stopped pacing.
"Truly, your genius is astonishing", quipped Darcy with a grin.
Tony scowled. He liked the girl. Darcy was a beta with snark and personality. She had come as a package deal with Jane and by now, he was happy about that. She was an excellent addition to the pack – and to the team. Not as an active Avenger, but as the PR manager of the Avengers, specifically their social media presence. After all, this new team made up of spies and a god and a science experiment gone wrong and a sober alcoholic playboy philanthropist, it didn't necessarily invoke confidence or trust. They had been a ragtag team thrown together by circumstances, so aside from internal team-bonding they also needed press and a good image for the public. Thanks to Darcy's posts online, they had gained a lot of favor (and fans).
"I'm not pacing about Thor returning. It's just, we're pack. I'm not particularly fond of a pack-mate being on another planet", grunted Tony defensively and annoyed.
"I dunno. No one else is that antsy about his return", quipped Darcy teasingly.
"It's an omega-thing", tried Tony irritated.
"Yeah, I'll debunk that for you", countered Clint. "I'm not antsy either."
Tony scowled at them, but at least Jane had mercy on him. "Thor's been bringing back books and technology for Tony. I think that's... more so what Tony's antsy about."
"Thank you. You're my new favorite Avenger", huffed Tony.
"That hurts. That hurts deeply, Tony", stated Steve with that sad puppy-pout. "I didn't even-"
"You didn't defend me either", argued Tony.
"I mean, they're right, so...", drawled Steve. "You always pace in particular when Thor's about to return. Not so much when Clint and Natasha return from a mission with the agents, or-"
"You're a traitor, Steve Rogers", accused Tony. "I think we need a divorce. I'm taking Bruce and Jane. You can keep the archer and the smirking widow."
Darcy snorted amused, though before anyone else could tease Tony about it, Thor landed not so lightly in the backyard – they had a special landing area closed off for this very occasion. Darcy's expression morphed into a teasing grin as she saw how much Tony perked up. She liked to consider herself the local Thor Odinson Expert and she knew what someone smitten with Thor looked like; had lived with Jane for long enough during her relationship with Thor. Tony Stark was smitten with Thor, maybe even more than just smitten. And considering all the gifts Thor brought back from Asgard – gifts very specifically for Tony – Darcy would bet it was not so one-sided.
The Avengers put what they did aside to get up and walk outside to greet Thor. Despite teasing Tony about it, they all had been looking forward to Thor's return, in some way or another. They were a team, they were a pack. The battle of New York and thrown them together, but the months that followed of searching for Loki had actually forged them into a team.
"Welcome home", greeted Jane with a smile.
"My friends!", exclaimed Thor with the usual joyous laughter bubbling in his chest. "It is truly good to be home again! I have missed you dearly! You have to tell me all about the glorious battles you have fought while I was gone. And do you have news on my brother?"
"Well, news yes, but...", drawled Darcy.
"He keeps getting away", supplied Natasha. "But let's not worry about that yet. Come on in. Let's order some food and catch each other up. I'm sure you're hungry."
That was a safe bet with Thor, always. At the prospect of eating Earth food, Thor perked up even more. He loved Asgard, he truly did, but every time he was there, he found himself missing Earth. Missing humans – especially his humans. And speaking of his humans, his eyes found Tony. The small, brilliant omega looked up at him with excitement sparkling in his honey-eyes.
"I brought more books for you, Tony", stated Thor, putting down a bag.
If possible, Tony's eyes sparkled even more at that and he eagerly went to look at them. "You don't have to, Thor. I wouldn't want you to get into trouble with your father-"
"Nonsense. These are merely school books for our youngest, he would not even notice."
"Who'd have thought Tony Stark would be excited about elementary school books?", teased Clint.
"Elementary school on a whole other planet", countered Tony pointedly, waving the book in Clint's face. "This contains mathematical equations that have never been seen like it on Earth!"
"The biology. Evolution on Asgard. Plant life", mused Bruce eagerly.
Of course did Tony share the shiny new wisdom that Thor was giving him. Half the time the science trio spent together was spent on the texts Thor brought him. Even though Thor always made rather sure to let Tony know it was for him. Which was flattering and nice. It was rare for Tony to get stuff. Most people didn't bother, because he was a billionaire – what was it that he couldn't just buy himself? Pepper, Happy and Rhodey were the only exceptions. Or used to be the only exceptions.
Darcy would make awful collages of pictures she had taken of the science trio, even with a hand-made frame. Steve sometimes gave him drawings he made – mostly those he made in the lab, of Tony with his bots. Tony had them pinned up all over the lab by now.
It was nice, having a pack. A pack that really cared for him, accepted him as part of them.
"And I bring food, for everyone", stated Thor after a long moment. "With greetings from mother."
Because while Thor was excited about human food? His human pack was very excited about Asgardian food. His mother liked to pack him a feast to go, a thanks for the people who took such good care of her son and accepted him among them, aided him, gave him a home.
"I love your mom", stated Darcy seriously. "That lady is amazing and knows exactly how to bribe."
The Avengers made their way back inside and set the table for them all, before they sat down together, as a family, to eat and catch each other up on their progress, or lack thereof.

Thor heaved a forlorn sigh as he grabbed his mead and took a long gulp from it. He was sitting together with Steve, Clint and Natasha. They held a party at the tower – not a rare thing, especially not when Thor would return from a stay on Asgard. Tony was standing off over with Jane, Bruce and Darcy, laughing and talking. They had many visitors, fans mostly.
"You know, relationships among the team aren't a problem", noted Natasha casually.
Thor hummed and turned his attention over to the Black Widow. She and Clint were in a relationship, Thor knew that. Every Avenger knew that. They weren't overly affectionate in public, they didn't make a big show of their relationship, but fighting alongside them made the deep bond they shared very obvious. They shared so much, a long history of suffering, missions and only being able to rely on each other. Thor felt humbled being among the limited number of people they both trusted, the people they now called pack and family.
"Of course it's not", stated Thor a little confused.
Clint sighed and rolled his eyes where he was leaning closely against Natasha. "Then what is it? Because if it's Jane, boy I got some news for you. She is so not hung up on you anymore."
Thor furrowed his brows at that and returned his attention back to the scientists and Darcy. Jane and Bruce stood close, very close, with Jane resting a hand on Bruce's arm as she leaned forward in laughter at something Tony had just said. Of course was Jane not hung up on him anymore. It had been over half a year ago that they had broken off and even before that, for a long while their relationship had barely counted as such, with him disappearing for months on end to Asgard, not calling or giving notice. It was for the best for the both of them to be friends.
"Jane is not a vengeful woman, she would never hold it against me to move on, no more than I would hold it against her to move on. She is very deserving of happiness", stated Thor.
"Thor, buddy", started Steve with a sigh and clapped Thor on the back. "Why haven't you asked Tony out on a date yet? That's what the spies are asking."
"Ah", nodded Thor in understanding. "I have yet to complete the first courting stage before I could move on to something so daring."
The other three didn't quite know what to make of that and just exchanged a confused look.
/break\
"I had a lot of fun tonight, Bruce."
"So did I", replied Bruce with a gentle smile.
Jane was holding onto his arm, returning his smile. The two had gone out for dinner, were now walking through the park. It was nice, having someone gentle, soft and yet fiercely brilliant to share everything with. They had slowly orbited closer over the past months until they reached this point.
"I'm sorry, but I have to ask", sighed Bruce as they returned to the tower. "I know you're not... interested in Thor anymore in that way, but I do wonder... is it awkward for you, to see your ex every day and now to see him clearly interested in one of your friends?"
Jane laughed a little at that and shook her head. "I mean, I suppose it was odd when I first realized it. But Thor is... He's a good guy. I care deeply about him. I want to see him happy. And, I suppose, he has a type, mh? The brilliant, brunette scientists from Earth."
Bruce hummed softly, fingers linked with Jane's as they reached the floor Jane and Darcy were sharing. He smiled when he leaned in to kiss her briefly before biding his goodbye. There was someone else he wanted to ask the same question. He had heard from Natasha that they already had asked Thor this very question, but it had apparently left the two spies and the super soldier confused. So Bruce had done a bit more digging, digging through the textbooks about Asgardian culture and then talking to Jane and Darcy a bit more.
"Thor. Are you... busy?", asked Bruce when he reached Thor's floor.
Clint and Natasha shared a floor, so did Jane and Darcy, Bruce had a private lab in his floor and thus no floor-mate, while Thor and Steve also shared one. Tony was far too generous to be real, most of the time. It would have already been a grand gesture of him to give them rooms, but the specifically designed floors? Tony, he had so much to give – not just money and material stuff, he had so much love to give and the Avengers were lucky. Not to be spoiled but because they were being loved this way. Tony did his everything to protect them, to make them happy.
"Ah, no, my friend. I was just considering if I should join the captain in the training facilities", replied Thor with a smile. "Or would the Hulk like to come out and train with me?"
"No. No, he wouldn't", chuckled Bruce and shook his head.
"Then what can I do for you?", inquired Thor, motioning for Bruce to walk with him.
"I... I didn't ask you this before because I didn't want it to look to Jane like I'm asking your permission to date her, but as your friend and pack-mate, I still wanted to know how you feel about me and Jane", replied Bruce honestly, a faint blush on his cheeks.
"I think that you are a wonderful match", laughed Thor joyfully, slapping Bruce's back.
Bruce stumbled a little under the force, though he smiled to himself. Thor was a good guy, a kind man. Bruce thought he too deserved to find happiness. But judging by everything he had been witnessing over the past three months, Thor would need a bit help there.
"I think you and Tony are a good match", offered Bruce after a moment.
And it was true. Thor and Tony had been particularly close ever since New York – after Tony had nearly died the second time in one day when he had the heart-attack and Thor restarted his heart with lightning. The two sparred together, Tony had developed technology capable of channeling and using Thor's lightning, enabling them to perform some spectacular attacks together.
"Why, thank you", smiled Thor, though it was a bit of a sad smile. "I wish Tony would see it that way too. Alas, I think... my courting is futile."
"That's... what I wanted to talk to you about", replied Bruce. "I think what you're not accounting for is that Asgardian customs and Earthly customs are... very different. What I'm saying is that I don't think Tony even knows you're courting him. He thinks that you are being a good friend and team-mate by bringing him all those books and all the technology and by getting to know his family. He doesn't know what those actions mean in your culture."
"...Oh", grunted Thor and paused, blinking slowly. "I... had truly not... considered that."
"Tony is a bit oblivious when it comes to those things, so that's not helping either", continued Bruce with an encouraging smile. "Maybe you should go and talk to him, put your feelings to words."
Bruce huffed as he was suddenly pulled into a hug by a very enthusiastic Thor. "Thank you for the advise, my friend! Can you tell Steve that I won't be able to make our sparring session after all?"
"Of course. And, good luck, Thor", chuckled Bruce as he watched Thor run off.
/break\
Tony was in his labs, hunched over the piece of Asgardian technology that Thor had brought him this time. Tony loved dissecting them, figuring out how they worked, what made them tick, what their function was. It was so exciting. He was grinning like a maniac in joy.
"Sir, Thor asks for access to the lab."
Blinking curiously, Tony put the tech aside and looked up. "Uh. Let him in, Jay."
Thor was not exactly a frequent visitor of the lab – mainly, and he knew that, because Thor was not exactly big on the fine-motor skills and he didn't want to break anything. Steve very often sat with Tony and drew here, Jane and Bruce of course for their own projects. But Thor...?
"I wish to take you out to dinner!", exclaimed Thor as soon as he entered the lab.
Again, Tony blinked, tilting his head a little. "I think Darcy dropped sandwiches for me off like an hour ago. You don't need to drag me out to eat. Though it's... nice you all care so much."
"No", huffed Thor, looking troubled. "Bruce said I need to put it into words for you don't understand Asgardian courting rituals. Which makes sense, of course, now that I think of it. I just... didn't. I wish to take you out to dinner, as a date. That is... how humans court, yes?"
"Court...? I... what?", asked Tony slowly, staring up at the tall alpha.
"You are truly the most impressive omega I have ever met", stated Thor seriously. "You are kind, brave, strong and brilliant. I have... cared deeply for Jane, but nothing I ever felt was this intense. I have been courting you for weeks and thought you were not interested and politely declining by not acting on my courting attempts. On Asgard, we court – we share knowledge with the one we love, we bring them food, especially that they enjoy truly, we make them gifts, all of the little machines I kept bringing to you from Asgard and the fabrics and clothes, they were not just for you to study, they were also simply for you to... enjoy."
"...Oh", whispered Tony. "I, we don't... We don't really court. We just date and the only kind of courting gift given is an engagement ring. I didn't... huh. You. Uhm. Okay."
"Okay?", echoed Thor unsure.
"Date. Okay", clarified Tony with a deep flush. "You... uh... I mean, come on, look at you. You're really out of this world. And you're not just... really nice to look at, Thor. You're... like an over-sized puppy. You're soft and sweet and kind. You're... unlike any alpha I ever met."
The smile on Thor's face grew with every word and he looked ready to explode from joy at the end. Unable to hold back, he grabbed Tony around the waist and lifted him up to whirl him around.
"Wonderful! Tonight?", asked Thor with a smile, kissing Tony's cheek softly.
(due to tumblr not allowing the NSFW tag anymore, the NSFW part is below the line, so consider this your warning.)
/break\
Thor really was like an over-sized puppy. He loved following Tony around eagerly, happy for every time he got Tony's undivided attention. He loved cuddling with Tony, very often the two would simply be curled together on the couch. Thor was very comfortable for cuddling, he was so large and safe and yet so gentle. Now that Tony understood what Thor was doing, he had far more intense reactions to every time Thor brought him something from Asgard. By now, Tony had also been to Asgard before – because Queen Frigga had insisted on meeting the omega her son was courting. And Frigga was amazing, a wonderful lady, while Odin was slightly unsettling, but in the end there was nothing Odin could do to change Thor's mind (and Frigga had her husband enough under control to make him back off). So, Tony had accepted this bizarre new reality of him being courted by an alien prince. In the end, it was just... Thor. His Thor. Royalty and alien origins didn't matter.
"Ye—es!", exclaimed Thor excitedly as their attack landed.
Him and Tony were the perfect team. The updates on his suit that Tony had developed – with the help of the Asgardian technology that Thor had brought him – were perfect to channel Thor's lightning. They managed stronger attacks, better hits, when Thor summoned lightning in the clouds, he was no longer the only one able to wield it. The armor landed and opened up and Tony stumbled out of it, a grin matching Thor's on his face. Though when Thor turned toward Tony, his eyes darkened. The armor was impressive, but the skin-tight black under-suit that Tony wore beneath it?
"You truly are brilliant, Tony", stated Thor with a smile, grasping Tony by the hips.
Tony gasped breathlessly as his strong, tall alpha lifted him up with ease and pinned him against the nearest wall. Thor's hands cupped Tony's ass, Tony's legs wrapping around Thor's waist as the two kissed deeply. Clumsily, they tugged each other free of their clothes, at least enough to make this work. Thor slipped a thick finger into Tony's hole, already wet just from the display of strength from his to-be-mate. A second finger followed soon enough and Tony was writhing on them, moaning loudly. Thor pulled out of Tony, his hand soaked with the omega's slick. He wrapped that hand around his own cock, lubing it up with his lover's slick while kissing Tony deeply.
"You are truly the most astonishing omega I ever met", whispered Thor gently.
He grabbed Tony safely with both hands on his hips and slowly lowered the omega onto his hard cock, effectively distracting Tony from any thought. Tony's eyes rolled back into his head as he leaned back against the wall. Thor was gigantic, which figured considering everything else about the alien. It always stole the breath right out of Tony's lungs when the thick, large cock invaded him like that, filled him up like that. Once Tony was fully seated on Thor's length, they paused. Giving Tony the time to adjust. Tony wrapped his arms around Thor's neck and kissed him again.
"You know, we can't let every sparring session end in sex in the training room..."
"What? Why not?", asked Thor, looking genuinely put off by that as he started fucking into Tony. "Do you not enjoy our little tradition of blowing off the last left-over adrenaline."
"I enjoy it a lot", groaned Tony, gasping as Thor hit his prostate. "But Clint's been giving me shit about it reeking like sex and everybody else is snickering about it too."
"So let. Them. Snicker", huffed Thor, punctuating each word with a sharp thrust.
Tony gave a strangled little sound at that, arching into his alpha. Thor thrust in harder and deeper, until the alpha's knot was pushed into him, making Tony moan in a drawn-out way. He loved being knotted by Thor, because if his dick was big? Damn, his knot really was something else.
"Okay, yeah", gasped Tony. "You're right."
"Of course I am", hummed Thor, kissing Tony's neck gently.
He let go of Tony's waist with one hand to jerk him off while his knot swelled to its full size and the two of them came together, Tony spraying his cum all over Thor's chest and Thor filling his omega up. Gasping for breath, Tony leaned forward to rest his head on Thor's shoulder.
"I really love our sparring sessions", laughed Tony breathlessly.
"Aye. So do I", replied Thor with a pleased look on his face.
He slowly lowered them both onto a training mat so they could cuddle until Thor's knot would deflate. Tony tucked his head under Thor's chin, his cheek resting against Thor's chest. Smiling pleased, he closed his eyes while his alpha wrapped his arms around Tony's waist. Who'd have thought that Loki escaping would lead to Tony getting all of this? Fate truly was twisted.

Grandparents Day, Pt. 3
Part 1, Part 2
based on this post:
Tumblr media
1617 words
Peter stops to tie his shoe on the way to the office, and motions for the soldiers to continue, the office is in sight. Walking there, they pass a few empty classrooms, but some have students in them. Like the room that gets used for Academic Decathlon. And guess who sees Peter walking in the hallway?
None other than Eugene "Flash" Thompson.
"Hey, Parker!" he yells. Shit, Peter thinks. "Why aren't you in here? With the rest of your team? Hm?"
"I was coming back, but I just had to show some people to the office and well--they're waiting for me. I'll be back in 15 minutes tops!" he tells his team.
Before he can escape, MJ speaks up; "you better, Peter! You have people depending on you, and if you miss another practice, we have to bench you next competition. You're the smartest here, and we can't afford to bench you, so, please, show up!"
"Yes, MJ! Definitely! I will be here, promise! Give me 15 minutes?" Peter asks hopefully.
She sighs and looks at her watch; "15 minutes, Parker, go." He smiles with relief and sprints to the office to see Steve and Bucky waiting for him.
"Sorry," he apologizes. "I had to talk to my Academic Decathlon team real quick, but I'm here."
"No reason to be sorry. Pete, did you know that your principal--Mr. Morita's--grandfather was Buck and my friend back in our glory days?" Steve smiles.
"Really? No, I didn't know that. Awesome!"
"Yeah, Jimmy, I think, is what we called him. He was a good man," Buck nods at the teen's principal, "We were in the same unit, the 107th. He got captured with me, I think. My memory is still foggy, but I remember that he was my friend."
"Alright, I know you came here to talk to me other than my Grandad. What can I do for you gentlemen?" Morita asks.
"Well, Peter, here, invited us to come to Grandparent's Day on Monday--" Steve begins.
"Ah, yes, I saw that slip. It was given to me when our top student was accused of lying--not to his face, naturally--so I had to check it out. I didn't think it was all that necessary though. I mean, this kid brought in Tony Stark for Parents Day," Morita chuckles.
"Yes, well, we were wondering if everyone could treat us like every other grandparent. I don't want to make a big deal out of it," Bucky replies.
"Yes, of course. I understand perfectly and wouldn't dream of it. My Grandad used to say that he always just wanted to be treated like everyone else and that everything he did, he wanted to and didn't expect any praise."
"Jimmy was a good man. I'm glad you got that gene," Steve smiles. Morita smiles back.
"Thank you, Mr. Morita. I'll try to stop bringing in superheroes so that you don't get any more slips that say I'm a liar," Peter says with a small smile.
Morita chuckles. "I'll ask Mrs. Thatcher to stop sending the complaints to me and instead rip them up." Once out of his office, Morita shakes Steve and Bucky's hands, tells Peter to stay out of trouble and goes back into his office to do some more paperwork.
The three walk down the hallway silently, until Peter breaks it; "hey, I, uh, I have to get back to Decathlon, so I'll see you both at the Tower? It's Thursday and May's working again, so I'm staying there until Monday after dinner."
"Yeah, sure. But, uh, is it okay if we stop by your practice? I mean, we don't have to check it out, it's just that I don't know what Academic Decathlon is and you're involved so I would like to be involved," Steve says sincerely.
"Yeah, no, it's okay Mr. Rog- Steve. Academic Decathlon is an afterschool activity where you go competition and compete against other schools and whichever school figures out the correct answer the fastest wins. Last year, we went to Washington D.C. and won! Well, I mean, I didn't win. I was previously occupied with stopping the Vulture, which was when you both were Rouge. Long story short, I couldn't be there for the competition because Spider-Man was tracking a bad guy. And you both can totally sit-in during practice. It's no big deal." It's a shock to the old heroes that Peter didn't pass out from lack of breath.
”Uh, great! Where’s the restroom?” Steve asks.
”Oh, it’s down this hall, take a left and it’s on the right. We’ll be in the big room over here; just take a right, walk back down the hall, go around the corner and it’s on the left. The floors might be wet though, so I think you should probably take another left walk through the hall, turn past the cafeteria, and take another left. But, then again, they might not be mopping the floors today, so just take a right, walk back down the hall, go around the corner and into the classroom on the left.”
Steve just stared blankly; Bucky chuckled. “I’ll help him out, kiddo. Don’t worry.”
“Thanks, Mr. Barn-- I mean Bucky! I’ll be in there when you get back,” Peter says quickly and marches into Decathlon.
MJ checks her watch; “17 minutes, Parker. It’s not looking good for you.” He sucks in a breath. MJ was always punctual and got upset when others weren’t. At his worried expression, she laughs. "I'm just fucking with you, loser. You were gone for, like, less than 13, so chill out." Even though it sounds like a jab at him, Peter knows better. She's worried about him. He’s not showing up to Decathlon, which isn't new, but he's been.. different since whatever it was that the Avengers are keeping from everyone. No one knows what it is; there are many conspiracies, but the Avengers have confirmed nothing other than yes people disappeared but they’re back and okay now. Which doesn’t make any sense, but most people have gotten over it by now.
“Thanks, MJ,” Peter replies; the two exchange smiles.
“If you guys are done staring into each other's eyes, can we get back to practice?” Flash groans loudly.
“Oh, shut up Eugene. Some people can actually have friends; did you know that? That people can actually enjoy other people’s company?” When Flash doesn’t comment, MJ continues, “I know right! Mind-blowing!”
After a huff, Flash backs off; "whatever. Let's just get back to practice."
"Awesome. First question! What is the atomic number for chlorine?"
With a ding of the bell, Peter answers, "17." He's just relieved that everyone is done arguing.
"Correct. What is the capital of Monaco?"
Another ding. "Monte Carlo," Abe answers.
"Nice. How old was Queen Elizabeth the First when she became queen and what year was it?"
Ding. "It was 1558 and she was 26 years old," Flash answered cockily.
"Nope, close though; she was 25. Maybe next time Eu-" she was abruptly cut off by a loud gasp from Ned. Peter turned to see what had happened and winced (of course, they had to make a dramatic entrance).
"Holy shit," Ned whispered under his breath.
"It's them," Abe exclaimed, just as star struck.
"Uh, hello everyone," Bucky said awkwardly. Steve laughed and tried to cover it up with a cough; he received a deadly glare from the ex-assassin.
Mr. Harrington snapped out of his awe quicker than the rest of them. "Hi, Mr. America-- I--I mean Mr. Rogers! Can we help you with anything?" His voice cracked at 'anything'. Peter try as he may to control it, let a chuckle slip.
"Uh, no, Mr--?"
"Harrington."
"Mr. Harrington," Steve finished. "We just wanted to sit in and see what School Decathlon was all about."
"You dumbass," Bucky said and hit the back of Steve's head. "It's Academic Decathlon. Not School Decathlon."
MJ chuckled and almost every Decathlon member's eyes snapped to her. "What? It's funny," she told them with a roll of her eyes.
"Yeah, Michelle. It's so funny. Violence is so funny. Since you think it's so funny, you should really rethink being the captain and hand it off to someone who deserves it," Flash smiled innocently.
"Yes, you're right. Eugene. I think I'll give the Captain title to Parker," she replied, smug.
"Penis!?” Flash exploded. “Him!? Really!? But he doesn't even show up!"
Peter had his eyes trained on Bucky from the moment Flash opened his mouth. You bet he saw the way Bucky's eyes darkened and how took a menacing step forward.
Steve put a hand in front of Bucky to stop him from doing something he would regret. Like decking a 16-year-old. Steve whispered a "keep calm," and Peter's
hearing picked it up.
"What did you just call him," Bucky demanded. Flash went white a shade white but didn't answer. "What. Did you call him," he growled.
"I-I called him Peter, sir-sir," Flash stuttered out, eyes wide.
"Liar." The glare directed at Flash was deafening. "What did you call him." Silence. "Answer honestly. What did you call him."
"I called him Penis," Flash said confidently as if it would erase his nervous stutter from before, but he still shrank back and dropped Bucky's gaze the moment they met.
Bucky’s glare intensifies ten fold. Steve clears his throat as if to distract his friend from murdering a teenager. “So, uh, Mr. Harrison,” Steve says addressing the supervisor of the club.
Bucky interrupts, “if one of your students is being bullied, do something about it. We’ll be over here watching the rest of practice.” And with that, he drags Steve over to an empty table and makes himself comfortable.
