Two years later and I'm still not over the classical music part.

Like??? What was that going to achieve??? Can we get more explanation??? At least the skull bringing it up later??? He brought up the bath a few times, why not this?

But now I'm wondering if what if this wasn't the first time George had tried this on the skull. Like, what if he'd done it enough times that the skull knows way more about classical music than anyone should?

The skull, entirely unprompted: You know, Sir Arnold Bax's 'Symphony no. 3' is criminally underrated. The beginning has such a chilling, creepy undertone that's perfectly tied together with the sweeter overarching music that makes it feel as if there's a scare just waiting to happen, but in reality everything's fine. Then it builds to a frantic crescendo, where everything is going off every which way and chaos delightfully ensues. Much better than anything fops like Beethoven and Mozart did. Of course, critics did do some things right and made Edvard Greg's 'Hall of the Mountain King' popular, that one's just magnificent. One of my personal least favorites that still deserves some mention is Camille Saint-Saëns' 'Danse Macabre', it seems as if the poor chap was trying to sound creepy, but was trying to compose in a nice room garden full of bright sunshine and butterflies. It just doesn't go together! Now then there's-

despite Stroud's words that skull shouldn't have a backstory, i can't shake off the feeling that he was 100% involved in something at least church related: how he knew the mechanics of catafalque and his commentary ‘Shows how often you go to church’ and that "For Pete's sake" in fifth book

i'll die for headcanon that he was one of the orphans in care of church, that tried to "cleanse their souls from demons" while children were just seeing ghosts (and that's how Bickerstaff found his servant too)

Lockwood & Co valentine's Day headcanons because I said so:

-Lucy wakes up earlier and makes a nice breakfast for her and Lockwood which they then eat in bed

-George goes out early to buy some liquorice and food to meet up with Flo and they have a cute date

-Holly and her 'roommate' have a cute brunch date

-Kipps is very lonely and I relate to that

-They usually don't do any cases on Valentine's day cause let's be real everyone would need a break here and there and what's a better break than to spent a day with the person you love

-Holly and Lucy decorate the house with flowers days before the actual day (mostly roses)

-Lockwood usually gets Lucy roses and because she doesn't want to throw them away when they're dying so she let's them dry and then collects them in a jar in her room

-Lockwoods father used to buy his mom flowers a lot and they had a happy marriage (well until the "accident" aka their death)

-Lucy really likes the flowers

My Lockwood and Co headcanon

Remember how Lockwood gets mad when people give him nicknames? He doesn't even want to be called by his own name, because that's how his parents called him before they died.

What if he hates the name “Tony” not just because he gets called that by Kipps, but because that's how Jessica used to call him? Like, he used to hear her saying “Tony” to him with loving intonation. And then some red haired guy he didn't like from the first sight starts calling him that like it's no big deal.

Meh. I was bored I wanted to draw pretty dresses.

This was a nightmare color-wise. Try to keep a limited palette, be clear and have a decent contrast on two skins with totally different skintones. But I learnt stuff I suppose. Next time I’ll be wiser.

I’ve been thinking lately about how the books were filtered through Lucy’s POV, and I haven’t done any complete rereads to say 100%, but I don’t remember anyone else being really that smitten with him. What if he’s just this normal-looking dude, and it was only Lucy’s major crush that catapulted him to bishounen status?
