What fandoms do you write for?

The Witcher, and Lord of the Rings. I would love to write for Star Wars, Dragon Age, Wheel of Time, but haven't gotten around to doing it yet. General Bel Riose brought the idea of Foundation writing on my to-do list.

What are your top five fics by kudos?

Valandhir: Durin's Bane, The Twilight years, The heart of the journey

Cardhwion: Strange Blood, In my father's house

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I try to, because I enjoy the conversation. But sometimes I forget, because there is too much going on, or I have no idea what I should reply.

What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Valandhir: Wishes are no horses or maybe Durin's Bane, the latter does only half-count because the next part, the Twilight Years changes something about the death at the end of Durin's Bane.

Cardhwion: In the darkest places, or maybe In my father's house. I just realise, I killed Eskel a lot.

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Valandhir: The Heart of the Journey

Do you get hate on fics?

Yes.

Do you write smut?

Sometimes, I need characters that have that dynamic and need to be in the mood.

Haven't yet, but do have some in mind.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not to my knowledge.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

As English is my second language, I did translate the whole Raven's Blade series on my Valandhir account into German myself. But only posted two parts. Would need a beta to read over it, to ever post it full.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Yes, with @do-androids-dream-ao3acc, titled "The Unforgiven"

What's your all-time favourite ship?

That's a hard one, I love so many ships, and am a passionate multi-shipper. So a real favourite is hard. Coën/Erland of Larvik comes close.

As far as the sheer hilarity is concerned nothing ever beat Henselt/His throne.

What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Full dialogue I use rarely but having some arrogantly spit a line in Latin, or use a spell in Gaelic is fun.

I didn’t realize it but, Gwent: the Witcher card game actually adds alot of lore, is it cannon in your opinion?

I mean, it’s Gwent canon!

If you’re defining canon as “part of the original creators vision” then of course that would only be the books. But that isn’t super meaningful I think in terms of fandom. We sort of treat each “format” as a box of crayons and grab whatever colors we want from wherever we want. So I look at it as oooooo fun, another box of crayons. I may mix them, melt others down, eat them sometimes etc etc. 😂

But more importantly, I should take this opportunity to let people in on a secret. Some of the coolest fics in the fandom right now are based on Gwent lore. Seriously, look up some fics and I guarantee you’ll get hooked.

The fandom you can look up on AO3 is Gwent: The Witcher Card Game. I started reading them because some writers I already know are great are writing them like @on-a-lucky-tide @round--robin @gilligangoodfellow @howdoistormspirit @lohrendrell @jayofolympus @tumbleweedtech @major-trouble to name a few.

So yeah, check them out if you haven’t.

For the ask game: Erland, of course :D

Sexuality Headcanon:bi-confused. He loved only one woman in his live (Jagoda) but had several relationsships with men over his long life. Would claim that his love for Jagoda is entirely different than what he shared with certain other Witchers. Doesn't really understand himself in that regard. Gender Headcanon: Male A ship I have with said character: I have several. There is Erland/Jagoda, with Jagoda being the one love he held onto, no matter what happened to him, no matter what he got turned into. With Jagoda long dead, she became an ideal to which no other woman ever measured up.I still want an AU where Jagoda lived, and they went that long road together. Then there is Erland/Arnaghad, which is tumultous and Erland/Coën which is just sweet and much fall/spring. A BROTP I have with said character:Talisien. A mentor who became a friend as Erland grew up and became a warrior in his own right, best friend, confidant, and a loss that again impacted Erland heavily, and lead to his fairly lonely leadership style, he practiced later. A NOTP I have with said character:Ivar.For many many reasons, but mostly because he is the total opposite of Erland's character. My headcanon is that of all the schools, Erland has the biggest problem with the vipers. A random headcanon:He has silver eyes, not golden. When they made him, they still experimented with cross-species substance to enhance him, and the eyes are a result of that. Totally different from the eye mutation later Witchers would get. General Opinion over said character:I am absolutely fascinated by the character.IThe knightly code, the decision to stick to code like that in a darkening world, thats absolutely fascinating for me. I don't see it as a weakness, or him being compelled by his erstwhile mentor, either. I see it more as something he did, to re-shape that cynic, brutalised youth he once was into someone better, someone worth living. To me that makes a compelling journey, and I have a weakness for the trope of the old knight, still holding to his long-outdated code in a so-called "more modern" world. Usually I find the knight and his code more compelling than all the modern stuff.

Comfort food: Uhhhh. A weird one, but probably eggs, sunny side-up, with runny yolk, cucumber and frankfurter. Also: hazelnut cereal in milk, when I'm especially lazy

Comfort movie: The Man from Uncle. I can recall every scene and a *lot* of lines by the soundtrack only. I probably forced my fam to watch it more times than they care to admit during exam periods rip

Comfort clothing: I got a purple-grey scarf from my aunt like a decade ago. My throat always feels naked without it in the cold seasons. The other one is an animal-patterned golden shirt I got second hand. Similarly soft and loose, I feel extra nice in it.

Comfort songs: I'm a song repeater as well. Nowadays I usually resort to game OSTs (be it Hollow Knight, Witcher or Ryuu Ga Gotoku).

Comfort book: I don't exactly have one? I used to be a bookworm until I took a burnout in the knee, and I haven't touched a book by choice in a year or so. It's sad. But just the other day I've recalled the works of Jenő Rejtő (particularly: The Three Musketeers in Africa; and: The Frontier Garrison), a hungarian writer with amazingly bizarre humour.

Comfort games: Don't at me, but old school minesweeper. I can listen to a video or podcast and shut my brain down playing it for hours.

Lambert is slowly figuring out that when Aiden has flirted with him, he was serious. What had been said with a tilted smile and intense eyes wasn't intended as a joke. But for all Lambert's talk of fairness and justice, his self worth has never been great. After an unfortunate moment where Regis kicked him out of Corvo Bianco and he found a new home with the Cats, Lambert's now faced with finally dealing with something he only recently realized himself. Gezras has little patience for such foolishness, but he's grown fond of the gruff puppy that one of his favourite students brought home.
