This is something of a sequel to my original essay on being loveless.

It's also a discussion of the ways love is wielded against allo-aros, the a-spec community's ongoing conflation of love and attraction, and the impact allosexual aromanticism has on my lovelessness.

Because too often, unfortunately, I see loveless aromantic identity communicated and celebrated so as to exclude me, and other allosexual aros, from it.

I hope that's something we can begin to change this Aro Week.

Aro Love Posting

I love her so much, but how do I tell her without making things weird?

They’re my best friend, and she’s aspec as well so I think she’d understand but what if I’m just another friend to her?

It’s not romantic, but it’s so overpowering. I love her so, so much. I’m putting this here so I don’t burst and yell my feelings at them

If soulmates are real I think she’d be mine. But I have no idea if it’s onesided!!

Before knowing I was aro I worried about romantic feelings like this, I thought I’d never have to deal with it once I knew, but I want to tell her without messing up the friendship we have :(

For every single moment we have had that may have lead us down opposite paths, we have always been pulled back together by some strange, chaotic force.

I just love her a lot. She makes me feel like I’m wonderful and that I have things to give to the world. And that it’s okay to have a broken and traumatic past. I want nothing but the most incredible things for her.
