"Mere friendship alone is certainly an understatement if I've ever seen one. The bond between Yui and I surpasses that of Master and Livestock by now. Although I do still consider her my prey, the more she allows me to suck her blood, the more attached to her I become. Not because she is Eve, but because she is someone I wish to always stand by. I won't allow the low verdict of 71% to dictate the compatibility of our relationship despite our contrasting differences."

 °𐐪♡𐑂° Gotei 13 Compatibility Test  °𐐪♡𐑂°
Editorial Notes:
※ It has come to the attention of the editorial staff that past data from old versions of the Computer Fun Compatibility Test--concerning participants who have since disappeared mysteriously--were mistakenly included in the current version. The staff apologizes for any mental distress this may cause.
※ Compatibility data is based on ethnographic field interviews very professionally conducted by editorial staff. Data may be reflective of the subjects' self-perceptions, which are not always based in objective reality. The staff apologizes for any confusion this may cause.
※ Questions are taken nearly verbatim from the original Living World Computer Fun Compatibility Test question bank, lightly edited to suit the context of the Soul Society. The staff does not apologize for the plagiarism; there is no copyright law in Soul Society. (But it's also fair use.)

What's your life trap?
Tumblr media
Unrelenting Standards ;
[ Your primary feeling is one of pressure. You feel as if you can never relax and enjoy life. That you must always push to get ahead. For you, life is only doing. It is having to work or achieve all the time. You feel frustrated and irritated with yourself for not meeting your own high standards.
Physical stress is common with you. You may have headaches, digestion or bowel problems, as well as high blood pressure and/or insomnia. At root, you probably feel chronically angry, but with no apparent object to direct that anger towards. Instead of staying with that anger, you channel it outwards to your surroundings. Everything has to be perfect. You need to feel in control.
Most likely you are successful. But you rarely stop and enjoy your success. The balance between work and pleasure feels lopsided. You turn many forms of activity into work and it enslaves you. You seem to have lost touch with your basic self. You go through the motions, but no longer know what makes you happy.
One of your parents may have used shame or criticism when you failed to meet their high expectations. As an adult, you feel you cannot let go of your need for perfect order, achievement, or status. But your excessively high standards are in fact impinging on your quality of life. You are successful, but not fulfilled. You need to learn that you can lower your standards without feeling like a failure. ]

Ben & André = 91% / @retrograderesemblance (in case this was also from you)
Dr. Love thinks that a relationship between B.enjamin T.allmadge and J.ohn A.ndré has a very good chance of being successful, but this doesn't mean that you don't have to work on the relationship. Remember that every relationship needs spending time together, talking with each other etc.

I think a lot of transfemme culture is formed and cultivated by how we were rejected and desperately tried to fit it.
like, take transfemme memes. a lot of memes are about how broad generalizations such as "trans women do this thing", the thing being computer programming or enjoying a particular video game. and while I won't deny that a lot of trans women do those things, the vast majority don't. so why are things like programmer socks and fallout new vegas and bionicals and gundam so popular with trans women despite them not being universally applicable?
I think it might have to do with our being rejected as kids and how we would do everything we could to try and be accepted by others.
maybe this only applies to me. I'm definitely not trying to make a broad generalization to explain other broad generalizations. I'm basing this primarily on my experiences.
but when I was in middle school and high school, I used to lie about watching certain movies or playing certain games even when I didn't. I could have been because my parents wouldn't let me, I couldn't afford them, or I just wasn't actually interested. but most of what I was interested was very niche nerdy things like anime and computers and math and art. but in a desperate attempt to join in conversations and make friends, I would lie and say I was interested in the popular things so other people would accept me.
now, years later, the internet connects us and helps us explore our nerdy interests much more. I remember I was the only person at high school who cared at all about undertale, but then I found tumblr and whole communities online who would talk about the game I played. they also got me interested in things I never would have been into otherwise. transgender people online got me into star wars (which I regret) and evangelion (which I also regret but not as much). and there are some things that I've never experienced, but still know about due to cultural osmosis. I know a lot about fallout new vegas and magic the gathering and ultrakill despite never playing them. I would consider myself part of those fandoms despite never really interacting with the content, just because I have so many online trans friends who are into those things.
I think that the most popular things just happened to become transfemme memes due to how many nerdy trans people unapologetically love them online, and people who have never experienced them but are friends with the people who do love them agree with them to fit in.
I'm not saying this is a bad thing. it's perfectly fine to be part of a fandom or community even if you don't have a huge interest in it just to be with your friends. I'm not super interested in ttrpgs, but I still play just because I like hanging out with my friends.
computer programming is popular in trans women circles not because all trans women are computer programmers. it's popular because it's a booming industry and the small percentage of trans women who are computer programmers really enjoy it and talk about it online, and their online friends support them and agree with them even if they aren't computer programmers themselves.
idk. I forget where I was going with this. I just think it's really nice how trans women, and honestly the entire queer community as a whole, tends to support each other's niche interests and uplift each other.

I can't believe there is a "Cursed Cat Alastor Controversy" and that once again I had to have the evil lepreconartist who lords over the fandom making his gold off of Medrano's despair explain to me in order to understand what the fuck is going in on the fandom, yet again ... But I kind of hate you all so here's my hot take...
It's actual petty bullshit.
It's the equivalent of a fanartist calling out an AMV maker for "art theft" and demanding that a video they worked hard on be taken down because they used a piece of fanart for a character in an AMV tribute to the character that both the fanartist and the AMV maker (who is already an artist in their own right) already do not actually fucking own. Like, regardless if the AMV maker gives the fanartist credit. Instead of being honored by it, when they should know better that neither of them ever actually even own the shit to begin with, yet they still demand "credit" for fanwork.
I once saw a popular Asian artist in the svtfoe fandom demanding a boycott of the popular fan run merch store TheMysteryShack just as the beautiful fan made artbook Tales of Rebel Princess was about to launch exclusively through there because she alleged that the shop owner had stolen one of her friends fanart designs on a goddamn fucking Steven Universe tarot card pack of all things but I still really liked her Star fanart, so when I tried to respectfully explain to her that I wouldn't be boycotting the shop because of Tales of Rebel Princes launching and how I thought it was personally in very poor taste to not just contact the shop owner privately about the matter and instead making a big stink in public about boycotting his shop when she knew that one of her other artist friends that we knew she had also collaborated with in the past was just about to debut another big collaborative art tribute book dedicated to Daron and Star vs. there through this guys shop! And essentially it would be sad to see her knowingly taking business away from her other friend like that and demanding others in her following do the same and over something as small as a deck of Steven Universe cards, especially in understanding how little love svtfoe gets, since she was also a well known svtfoe fanartist ... All I got in response was "Well I'm happy for my friend but I'm Korean and you're just a Filthy American who couldn't possibly understand how disrespectful something like this is in my culture and blah blah blah if you instant on further harassing me about this I'll block you!"
And I was basically like "suit yourself being fake and having a stick up your butt honey I'm still getting my Star vs. artbook!"
And then she blocked me.
Good riddance. As if Miss Heinous would honestly ever head bang to Ruberiot...
But I guess what I'm trying to get here is that like...Oh, I'm sorry? You wanna make fanart for western cartoons? You gotta play by western rules then. Like it's late night here and I'm sorry if that sounds harsh. But it's true.
If Aurelio Voltaire honestly deserves to have a deal be cut in my opinion so he can finally officially own his share of the "Vampair" series after Daria Cohen stole his voice to make it (half dry humor, half serious here, to be quite frank about this) then coma0423 deserves to cut a deal so that Amir Talai can have a bit of financial comprehension and his percentage of whatever kind of (I'm guessing financial) ~"credit'~ that Coma is now demanding from other fanartists who make Cursed Cat Alastor fan merch since Talai , after all, did design the original concept sketch that would become Cursed Cat Alastor that Coma saw and then decided to just runaway with when they made the meme ...
Listen to me... Fanart belongs to everyone and no one by nature of it being made by fans and no one can truly own a "fan concept" expect for the true creator of the thing that it's based on. Unless that thing is already in the public domain. And if it is it becomes Schrodinger's Cheshire Cat.
Schrodinger's Cursed Cat Alastor belongs to everyone and no one, babe. He belongs to The Hazbin Hotel Fandom and The Hazbin Hotel. If he actually becomes canon in the show somehow, then he'll belong to Amir and Viv, actually, maybe Coma will get proper credit then, but the concept won't even really be theirs anymore, just as it even isn't really officially theirs now, even if they officially do get hired.
First you're telling me that I'm not allowed to fuck the radio demon ... Now you're telling me that I'm apparently not even allowed to kiss a cute wittle kitty cat plushie of him between the space on his head between his ears if said plush wasn't crafted by or sold explicitly by the fanartist who again, stole the concept sketch of him from Amir Talai in the first place?
No. This is nonsense.
Stop making all these petty dramas off someone else's work that only feed the evil leprechaun more gold off of someone else's work or start making you're own original work from your own original concept that you can actually claim your own copyright to I'm exhausted.
Ever hear the phrase once something leaves your brain it belongs to everyone, not just you anymore?
This goes triple for anyone making fanart of someone else's work and that's a fact. Especially if it's only ever an extremely memed up version of an already canonically existing character that you were only so lucky went viral.
Stop the bullying. No one fanwork is that special. Just do your best to honor the source material and be flattered by other fanartists imitations of your fanartist imitation... It's the circle of cursed kitties and it feeds us all. *smacks paw down*

I think it’s kind of a question, kind of a statement but, there seem to be a lot of people upset about you utilizing ai art recently. Correct me if I’m wrong, but if you’re training an ai on your OWN art, doesn’t that cut out a lot of the unethical things about mainstream ai art generators? And if I may ask, how do you feel about mainstream ai art generators and the way it utilizes others’ art? I apologize if this comes off as rude, I’ve not seen someone train an ai specifically on their own art and I’m curious about your thoughts. Thank you for reading, I hope you have a lovely day. Your world building and art is phenomenal and inspiring.
My opinion is that the only unethical bits stem from how an operator uses a tool, not the tool itself. Stable Diffusion isn't a person, it's isn't good or evil, it is incapable of acting on it's own without a human's input.
I could do some extremely unethical things with oil and canvas if I bothered to dig them up from the closet. I have the skills to theoretically mimic the style of a known artist and then sell it as if it's genuine. I could use the same traditional tools to straight up copy an artwork and claim that I came up with the composition and plot myself.
I then could come up with an original plot and composition in my head and then achieve that with prompts and inpainting using Stable Diffusion. The prompt might have some artist's name in it to achieve a particular style, but the end result won't match anything that artist has drawn before. You can't steal a style after all.
If I did all that it doesn't make oil and canvas evil and an AI good. The only thing that mattered was my intent. If your intent is foul anything you create with any tool can be unethical.
My attitude towards mainstream AI art isn't all that different from that towards normal art. Majority of both is unoriginal, boring, poor quality or all three in that order.
On AI's side it'd be big titty babes just standing around or Midjourney stuff (I hate MJ's style with a passion), on normal art's side it'd be what I call "face in flowers" types of drawings. You'll see that exact type infesting all of Instagram.
Should these artworks not exist? No, they can stay, they have their fans so whatever. I just personally don't find them interesting.
And then a small percentage of both is truly interesting. It has surprising plot, style, other quirks or is just genuinely funny. Good art is memorable regardless of what it's made with. It's just my opinion though.
If you haven't seen anything memorable made with AI yet, I recommend you search for "Will Smith eating spaghetti checkpoint". It's burned into my mind and still causes an ugly laugh each time I remember it exists.
Or "Anime rock paper scissors" for something less meme-y.
Thanks for the compliments btw, nothing is more rewarding than inspiring others.

Ruki-kun!! Did u know ayato & yui got 98%!?! I believe this is not true!! It should be 100. What do you think master!?!?!?
"Ha, good for those two. Upon further inspection, one would see just how perfectly Sakamaki Ayato would satisfy the legendary Eve's needs. Why else would she have chosen him over me as her Adam? I cannot deny how comfortable they appear in each other's presence, which would have inspired envy in me at some point, but what matters above all else is that I have fulfilled my benefactor's wishes by uniting them for better or worse. Moreover, had Yui not rejected my advances, I would have never considered someone like you to stand by my side. One door closes and another opens, as they say."

PLEASE EXPLAIN WHAT "SKIBIDI" AND "SIGMA" MEANS I'VE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT FOR A WEEK AND IT KEEPS POPPING UP IN YOUR BLOG AND I'M SO CONFUSED 😭😭😭😭
AAAA I love people who ask me open ended questions,, you're basically allowing me to yap 🫶🫶🫶
It all starts with Gen Z, you could say. The thing with Gen Z is that we're so sarcastic it's CRAZY. I mean, we got lots of terms that millennials can barely wrap their head around. It's like only we can understand this dumb humour. Like obviously, we say "rizz" (short for charisma: a charm) and "GYATT" (usually popular in African-American environments, short for goddamn),, but the thing is, we say that stuff ironically (in a sarcastic manner).
But there's Gen Alpha, basically people who are born after 2010 (until 2025, starts gen beta). And these kids are like brainrotted to the EXTREME. Keep in mind, brainrot usually means people who are too chronically online and sometimes can only speak in internet slang...weird. Gen Alpha is responsible for creating or popularizing some terms. These include a LONG list, I'll try to explain as much as I can here...
Sigma: the equivalent of alpha, an individual who's viewed as dominant.
Skibidi: short for Skibidi Toilet, a series made up of short videos created by DaFuq!?Boom! On YouTube.
Cap: a lie. Usually used in phrases like "No cap!" (No lie) Or "That's cap!" (That's a lie)
Slay: Something done impressively or greatly. Usually used between females but it's NOT restricted to that. used In phrases like "you slayed that/you ate that!"
Sus: Suspicious, unsettling
GOAT: abbreviation for "greatest of all time". Like in "Ronaldo/Messi is the GOAT"
Clout: popularity. Example— "I did that for clout"
Flex: to show off
Bop: Bae of plenty, someone who is seen as a player
Cancel: Cancel culture is pretty much getting celebrities banned off social media platforms. For example, many people want to cancel Andrew Tate.
Noob: newbie, someone who is a rookie. Either new to a game or bad at a game.
Drip: how cool your outfit looks. Like seeing a kid with a hoodie and saying "Damn, that kid got drip!"
Dope: The equivalent of Rad, something that's cool.
Dupe: yes, there's a difference. Dupe is like a knock off or a fake.
Lit: the same meaning as dope. usually something fire, as in it's awesome.
Stan: to be a huge fan of someone. Others can interpret it as a stalker fan, but the first definition is more popular.
Fanum tax: popular streamer Kai Cenat is friends with another streamer known as Fanum. Fanum often appears in Kai's streams to steal food from Kai. Fanum tax has become a popular term between fans indicating someone is stealing your food. Sometimes used in percentages. For example, my best friend casually fanum taxes 85% of my lunch every other afternoon.
Mewing: a technique used to sharpen your jawline, where you put your tongue at the roof of your mouth—often not allowing you to speak.
Edging/gooning/surfing: (Sorry asexuals..) a sexual practice involving controlling your 0rgasm.
Glazing: to over-hype something or give something so much compliments and attention it has gotten cringe worthy.
Tweaking/tripping: to act energetically or even unintelligently under the influence of crack/drugs, used sarcastically.
Aura: an imaginary calculation method of how much power or reputation you have. For example, falling In front of a group of teens means you have lost aura, or power. You can say that's -500 aura (points). Or maybe helping a homeless man. That's +5000 aura. Memes go around like "the golden dog", a card that makes you immune to losing aura.
Of course there is MUCH more. and Gen Alpha creates new terms every other weekend that it's starting to get tiring keeping up with these trends. Unless you're on the internet 24/7/365, then you'd surely know all of these and spontaneously use them. But I don't, so there's a lot I missed here, at least i believe so😭😭
The problem is, gen alpha uses all these different words and terms UNIRONICALLY. Meaning that they're actually serious. And oh, trust me they will look at you weird when you use an outdated word like "lol", "yas", or "YOLO".
So... Who can we blame for this ridiculous behaviour? Obviously, no other than millennial and generation Z parents. In my personal belief, Gen Alpha being on the internet from such a young age is seriously a bad idea. I mean, I have not one, but TWO (2) gen alpha siblings. You can imagine how hard it is from me... My 5 year old cousin goes to kindergarten and he says that he "rizzed" a girl at his class, which got him +10000 aura. Yeah, even I can't believe what this world has come to.
But from another perspective, we can do nothing about it. Maybe it's a good thing to let gen alpha on the internet? After all, we can't keep taking steps back, saying we need to quit phones and cellular devices in general. All we can do, really, is just let the future unfold. A few decades away from now, Generation Gamma or Delta or whatever, is gonna be laughing at gen alpha saying they're as old as time, probably holding a portable toilet in their hands. we never know what the future brings us🤷‍♀️
So that's it, sorry for answering your silly little question with a whole essay 🙏 thank you all for coming to my ted talk.

🫐🍑 for the emoji meme???
🫐 What’s your favorite underrated thing in your fandom? (A ship that only you seem to write for, a character there’s almost no fics about, a trope that criminally hasn’t been written yet, etc.)
Is it cheating to say "Anyone who isn't Batfamily?"
But seriously, one of the reasons I love DC (and this is true about Marvel, too) is that there's always more to fall in love with. I'm currently going through a Fourth World phase and having Feelings about Scott Free and Orion, but last night I was having Feelings about Grant Emerson and Todd Rice and Al Rothstein, and a few days ago I was emotionally compromised by Rose Wilson and Toni Monetti. There are THOUSANDS of characters out there and as much as I love Jason Todd, I do wish that even a small percentage of the fandom would investigate outside of Gotham (and occasionally treating Clark or Wally or whoever like they are supporting Bat characters instead of their own heroes with their own books). THERE ARE SO MANY POTENTIAL BLORBOS JUST BLORBING AWAY OUT THERE, FRIENDS!
🍑 If you could make a connection between your favorite character and another work you care about (whether a crossover/fusion or a wonderfully “pretentious” literary reference) what would it be? How would it work?
This question has me a little stumped. I guess my closest answer is I wish I hadn't gotten stuck and indefinitely shelved my JayRoy take on Sleepless in Seattle?

Hi asmi im struggling a lot with school because it sucks and it should be illegal, any advice from our favourite (and only) good omens mascot?
Hey my lovely maggot! I'm unsure if I'm qualified to give anyone advice, but then again, anything for y'all.
I'm sorry that school sucks for you (as it does/did for at least 90% of us). First, I'd say you should try and figure out why it sucks.
Is it the people around you? Is it the method of teaching? It is the teachers? Is it the subjects that you're studying? Is it your family's or teachers' pressure to study? Is it your own pressure to do too much too well all the time? Is the environment bad/too much for you?
Those are usually the reasons, it could be one or more of them, or maybe something else, whatever it is, figure it out best as you can.
Then try and see what about it is about the problems that are under your control. Can you change your subjects to ones you like? If the teachers or their way of teaching suck, can you try and study with other students, find online tutorials, read up on the topics? If your peers are awful, can you find a strong community or at least a few people to have your back inside or outside school? Etc.
(I could make a whole podcast on this. I'm trying to keep it brief. Oops.)
Nearly always, though, there will be some things out of your control. And there will be some part of it that's your brain trying to sabotage you.
In those cases, survive. Survive it. And by survive, I mean protect the important things, make sure they survive too.
If you love a subject but school is making you loathe it, try to engage in it outside school in ways that genuinely excite you. If school is taking away time from your hobbies, set aside time during which to protect them. If you love to read, don't let assigned reading make the sight of a book sicken you. If you love to scroll memes on fandom tumblr, don't let academic pressure convince you that it's a waste of time that should be completely eradicated.
Don't let them take those things away from you. They'll help you make it through school, and I promise, after school is finished and behind you, those are the things that you will be glad you spent time on.
And take care of yourself. Don't, don't let your health become a second priority, because then it'll wreck everything else too. You need to survive. If your brain is tired or struggling with an illness or simply bored, work with it, not against it. You do not want to be fighting your brain, believe me. Be gentle with yourself. Be kind.
No matter what anyone tells you (and that includes yourself), you are more than the grades you get. You are more than a percentage or percentile or grade curve or score. The subjects you study are more than the course syllabus. The person you are is more than a student. The way you are graded and the test questions are sometimes affected by things out of your control. School is such a tiny, tiny part of your life that's blown out of proportion by the world.
You can do this. I believe in you, I promise I do. You are so much more than this. Your Good Omens Mascot is cheering you on.
With all the love in the world, Asmi
PS: I appreciate the "and only". Michael Sheen is not stealing my job. I will bite.

20 Questions for Fic Writers
Thank you to @erisenyo for the tag! Some of these look tough, haha.
1. How many works do you have on Ao3? 47
2. What’s your total Ao3 word count? 201,583
3. What fandoms do you write for? Quite a few! On ao3, I've got the most posted fics for Captain America and Stranger Things, but I've got a few more AtLA fic ideas that @erisenyo is great at encouraging me to return to and play around with a bit more every so often, and my current obsession is Saltburn. (If you dug into my fandom history there'd be even more fic - mostly on fanfiction.net, with a few more scattered across other, smaller sites and various fandom specific prompt memes - but you'll have to do that digging yourself if you want those answers :p)
4. What are your top five fics by kudos? 4/5 of these are for Stranger Things, which I think has more to do with: a) the popularity of the Stranger Things Harringrove fandom, and b) the fact that they were written in the earliest days of the Harringrove fandom right after S2 came out, and thus when there were already a ton of new fans but not many fics yet; for the popularity of those particular fics compared to others which I think were objectively better written.

2. In the Darkness (We are Free)
3. Acting Out
4. Bending, Breaking, and Backing Down
5. Overheating
5. Do you respond to comments? Yes! (Though occasionally it takes a few days, and I admit it falls off for comments on older works.)
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I wrote quite a few fics for the Hydra Trash Party back when that was big, so a lot of those had angsty endings, lol. Of those that got posted to ao3, Mirages of Matchstick Men might have the angstiest ending? Several of my Stranger Things fics have angsty endings, too, as do various other fics I've written. Apparently I'm fond of them, even though I prefer happy endings most of the time when reading other people's work, haha.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Somehow, in spite of how much I enjoy reading happy endings, only a surprisingly low percentage of my current ao3 fics have them.
My current Saltburn fic, Good Things Come (To Those Who Wait), will have a pretty happy ending (in fact, that ending is already largely written, and I'm just working on filling in the middle bits - which is happening, even if I've been busy this summer as well!). At the moment, however, the next chapter to be posted is a deep dive into the two main characters getting worse before they get better.
I Get High With a Little Help from My Friends is one of my few Captain America fics which is good for a bit of hurt/comfort and a nice, fluffy happy ending without too much hurt anywhere.
I think my AtLA fic, Acting Out, also counts as a pretty happy ending.
8. Do you get hate on fics? Not really? Especially not these days, though I did start fic writing on fanfiction.net back in the days when a lot of people would get hate comments just for writing any non-canon m/m fic. So, I probably got a nasty comment or two back then that I've chosen to forget about. I think I also got a nasty comment once for an HTP fic, but it was on the HTP dreamwidth meme and that thread got frozen pretty quick by the meme moderator, while plenty of other lovely people chimed in with positive comments.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Yep, lol. I've written everything from extremely kinky and very explicit smut (in HTP and for a few other fandoms!) to pretty vanilla to only a tad more explicit than fade-to-black sex, depending on the story.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? Not generally. Occasionally I'll read them if they really catch my eye, but I'm not sure what the "craziest" one would be...
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Yes: Mirages of Matchstick Men. It was a little Bucky-centric fic that I wrote for a weekly flashfic prompt challenge, and it was translated into Russian by Magdalena_sylar on ao3!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? I have not. It's an idea that interests me, but I can imagine it's an endeavor that could go south easily and would need a solid working relationship + good communication established in advance to have the best chance of going well.
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship? Ohhh, man. This is a tough one. I am a consumate multishipper who has played around in a lot of different fandoms, and I'm not sure I have a single all-time favorite at this point. Current favorite is Cattonquick from Saltburn, and I've had a very long-running love for Gigolas from LotR, ever since I first read the books as a kid (though I haven't ever written my own fic for that second one, funny enough!).
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Another difficult one! I get lots of ideas, but only a few of them wind up getting all the way to fully written fic stage. Possibly the AtLA prequel to a long fic I've discussed ideas for at length with @erisenyo, from which the longer fic might eventually get written but the prequel may not....
16. What are your writing strengths? I'm 100% the, "you are your own harshest critic," type of person, so this was both a difficult and probably overall a good question for me to try and answer, lol. For the actual storytelling aspect, I've often gotten good comments about my characterization, so I can probably count that as a strength. In general, I can say that I'm very good at the technical aspects of writing, and I am quite good at editing.
17. What are your writing weaknesses? Almost certainly: keeping my mind focused on one thing at a time/finishing one project before I let myself get distracted by another. I'm working on that one, though! (I will admit that writing a whole graduate thesis a few years back probably helped a lot on the self-discipline angle...)
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I generally don't try that one, in part because I don't trust myself not to mangle it horribly.
19. First fandom you wrote for? I've been writing fic for over half my life now (which still feels a bit crazy to think about!), and I'm not honestly 100% sure what fandom the very first fic I wrote was for. It was Harry Potter that first got me into fanfiction, though, and all the first fics I read were for Harry Potter.
20. Favourite fic you’ve written? Going to quote @erisenyo here and say - This is impossible to answer! I have some older fics that I'm very fond of for nostalgia, fics for small fandoms that I love as expressions of my love for said fandoms even if they don't get much notice, and newer fics that I think are really good examples of how much my writing has grown since I was a teenager.
If I had to pick one fic for now, I think I'd pick Acting Out. It's the second AtLA fic I wrote, and one that was inspired by having read a lot of the, "GAang finds out how Zuko got his scar," fics on ao3 and realizing that none of them quite hit what I was most looking for in that genre. I think that fic is one of my best - if not the best of my fics - both in prose style and in achieving what I set out to do with it.
And I will tag: @rhaegang, @nythtak, @sulkybender, anyone else who wants to do this!
