Hello It’s me, Methone again 🤟
I’ve been lucid dreaming, every single night for a week.
I’ve always wanted to achieve it, since i was idk 6
AND I’VE TRIED EVERY STUPID METHOD. I’ll tell you that
I know that those methods does work for some people but I am not one of them😔
And then a week ago, I thought “who the fuck will tell me what to do to achieve my goal”
Since we all know about the void state, shifting and lucid dreaming I’ll go straight to “THE METHOD”.
╰┈☆ THE METHOD ☆┈╯
1. I put on this banger👇 on my headphones and i lie down (i always do this when i feel that i’ll be tired soon or when i know i can make myself fall asleep pretty easily. BUT NOT TOO TIRED)
youtube
2. When I’m listening to this i affirm just the simplest and most beautiful “I am” (i listen to that for an hour at least) But sometimes my mind wonder and i think about some stupid things like “should i pee? or not?” for an hour and it still works for me.
3. When i take off my headphones and i hear in my ears that dubumdubum sound, i know that I’m ready.
4. Then i just lie on my bed in comfortable position to fall asleep and i repeat in my head “I am aware, I am aware”
5. Booom you are lucid dreaming
6. (extra tip) I visualise that I am already counting my fingers.
Thank you for reading this:) I hope my “method” (i hate this word) will work for you! I’m waiting for your stories in the comments.
I love you, beautiful people.

lucid dreaming 101: what are reality checks?
・───・・✦・・───・
most people live life in autopilot, are not often consciously aware of everything, and do not question their surroundings.
・───・・✦・・───・ reality checking is a method of lucid dreaming where you question your surroundings during your waking life with the hope of doing the same action in your dreams in order to become lucid.
the point of a reality check is to prove that you are not dreaming.
your mind is going to go along with dreaming as if it’s real life unless you are lucid.
you have to do a reality check that would not “pass” in a dream but would in real life.
・───・・✦・・───・
common examples of reality checks are: trying to push your fingers through your palm or trying to breathe with your nose pinched.
you have to question if you are dreaming then do an action like this to prove that you are not.
you cannot just assume you are not dreaming or you will not become lucid.
・───・・✦・・───・
the reason reality checks work, is because it is increasing your awareness while awake and doing a repetitive action while awake will lead to it happening eventually in your dream.
dreams also tend to make little sense, plop you in the middle of something, and don’t explain what’s going on
so a helpful method i have seen is: throughout your day, stop and ask yourself “where am i? what am i doing? what was i doing before this? how did i get here?” in order to prove you are not dreaming, because often you will find you cannot answer these questions, or they make no sense when you’re dreaming.
・───・・✦・・───・
these actions must be performed several times a day and most likely for several days.
i have found it works best to reality check when something seems off in your cr, something happens that doesn’t usually, or something reminds you of your dr.
for example: i walked by a girl watching greys anatomy in my dining hall and since that’s my dr, i reality checked to make sure i wasn’t dreaming.
i, and many others, have found this method to be very successful for me personally getting lucid, and it has led me to my dreams where i’ve made portals and tried to shift.
・───・・✦・・───・
as always, comment any questions and like, reblog, and follow to see more content like this <33

how to shift through a lucid dream, according to neville goddard
this method was inspired by neville goddard, and my friend @urlocal-limitesshbic’s dragon tales method. please check it out 💛
in neville goddard’s book “out of this world” he talks about shifting realities through a lucid dream.
“I have discovered that, if I surprise myself dreaming, I can lay hold of any inanimate or stationary form of the dream (a chair, a table, a stairway, a tree) and command myself to awake. At the command to awake, while firmly holding on to the object of the dream, I am pulled through myself with the distinct feeling of awakening from dream. I awaken in dream. I awaken in another sphere holding the object of my dream, to find that I am no longer the servant of my vision but its master, for I am fully conscious and in control of the movements of my attention.”
in another lecture neville talks about grabbing onto a piece of driftwood in a dream and when he woke up, he was in a reality actually in a body of water holding that piece of wood.
“Years ago I felt myself dreaming and I was swimming. I knew it was a dream. I looked up and saw the shore of a primitive island, not the little island where I was born, for that is well cultivated and in no way primitive, but this was primitive. I saw it was an island and I knew I was dreaming, and I saw these strange things like cement posts driven down through the water but they were in a state of decay. They could have been at one time part of a jetty. I could see this peculiar primitive beach and I prolonged the dream, for if you know you are dreaming you need not wake. Something in me began to tell me, as memory began to return, that if I would take hold of one of these pilings and not let it go, and awaken, I would awaken there. I felt it and it was solidly real, just as it would feel here, and my hand did not go through it, and I held on to it and made myself awake; and I awoke in that water on that beach and then I waded ashore. I was no more asleep in that sphere than I am here in this one.”
“It taught me a lesson that if I could touch anything in another world and compel myself to awaken while holding it, I would find it was real. So you do it for your world. A job you want, the home you would occupy, the marriage you want. Sit at the desk at which you would sit, live in the house you want to live in, be married to the sort of person you want to be married to, and if you hold to it in your imagination, then you will make it real in your outer world. The Ancients called this capacity the Western Gate, and tied it in with the sense of touch. If you can hang on to the thing you touch and then awaken, you will find that the thing has become real.”
how to use this method:
1. find an object that you will be holding onto when you wake up in your dr. make it something that would fit in your dr. for example, in my dr it’s 2014, so i’ll wake up holding my old iphone.
2. find that object in your cr. in your cr, it has no power. but in your dreams, it has the power to shift you.
3. use that object as a reality check throughout the day. hold it and ask yourself if you’re dreaming.
4. when you become lucid in a dream, find that object/manifest it (i find it easier to say that when you turn around, it’ll be there - trying to manifest things in dreams can use too much brain power and wake you up)
5. affirm that you are dreaming FROM your dr, and when you wake up, you’ll be holding your item IN your dr.
6. wake up!
the item acts as an anchor. sometimes when we shift through lucid dreams we feel disconnected and like we’re battling to wake up in our dr, but we have nothing firm to grasp to bring us through. but the item is a lifeline to your dr.
—
lmk if you use this method and how it goes!

Hello! I have a question about the lucid dreaming method.
so, i have recently started having lucid dreams at night. I think its from the subliminals i listen to, because i haven’t before i started using them to shift.
so in my dreams, i realize that i’m dreaming, and then i try to make the portal. But nothing happens.
A little note: i can’t close my eyes in my lucid dreams because i either wake up or i lose lucidity. So instead i turn around and think of the portal being behind me.
so my question is, since i haven’t really lucid dreamed until recently, does this mean i can’t control my dreams yet and use this method?
sorry this was so long, i just needed to clarify everything. Thanks and please help!
I had a similar struggle when I first started using the lucid dream method, so I totally get that. I also can't close my eyes practically at all in my LDs (TヮT)
Fret not, however, you can absolutely still use the lucid dream method! It'll just take some practice!
Contrary to what some people believe, most people aren't good at lucid dreaming on their first few tries (or even first dozen tries.) Same goes for the lucid dream method for shifting.
.
Personally, my first few shifting attempts via the lucid dreaming method were messy, to say the least! I'd sometimes struggle to summon the portal, or even remain lucid long enough to remember what I was trying to do in the first place. It was slow goings, and I think what made it even slower was trying to shift before I learned to lucid dream.
So, while it's possible for you to still use the lucid dreaming method for shifting at this point, I would recommend taking a slight step back first and focusing on consistently getting lucid dreams (via whatever methods you see fit.) The most common ways to do this are:
Listening to subliminals! (I personally like this and this one!~)
Performing regular reality checks in day-to-day life. (Such as poking your palm with your finger [As, in a dream, your finger will slide right through your palm])
Consume media related to lucid dreaming. (Sounds weird, but it does genuinely improve your chances! Probably because your conscious/subconscious are influenced by things you see in your day-to-day life, so seeing something about lucid dreaming might trigger you to dream about it or remember it in your dreams.)
Now, of course, that doesn't mean you can't attempt to shift via lucid dreams in the meantime, but what it does mean is that it might be more beneficial to you to study the 'fundamentals', as they were, rather than jumping straight to the second half of the equation. Lucking out is all well and good, but if you're trying to set up a consistent method for shifting, taking a moment to better understand what helps you with this, arguably easier, task will help you astronomically in the long run. :3c
So, TLDR, yes you can still use the method whether you're 'good' at lucid dreaming or not but you should focus on getting consistent lucid dreams before you focus on the end goal of shifting with them.
(Additionally, a small tip! Once you know that you're in a lucid dream, start spinning around or stomping your feet. It helps ground yourself in the dream! It may not work the first time, but as I've tried it over my last few lucid dreams, it has worked better and better!)
And don't worry about the ask, it wasn't long at all~!
I hope my answers and advice were somewhat helpful?? ( ◕▿◕ )
<3 Happy Shifting! <3

Hi. I’m compiling my shifting methods. All my favourites, the ones I always come back to, the ones that feel like my own. This a journal entry of sorts.
🌞 meditation, stretching and affirmation
Every night when I go to bed, or just before, I do a quick yoga routine based on Nourished Natasha’s ‘evening yoga’ video. It’s all about release.
When I intend to shift that night, I dedicate my breathing exercises and meditation to my intention to shift. I also use the release exercises to release my pressure to shift.
Usually once I’m done with the legs-up-the-wall pose, I’m about ready to pass out. I only have to focus on my DR and on my intention; affirm that I want to shift and that I decide to shift. I try to remain in a meditative, calm state. Sleeping on my back usually helps.
🌞 the aura method
When I first learned to meditate, I was taught to picture my energy. Feel where it was in my body. Was it a ball of light? What shape? What colour? What texture?
I try to make my energy bigger with each breath. If it’s in my chest, I try and make it bigger so it fills my belly and my shoulders, then my neck and my hips, and my face and my legs and my arms and hand and feet. Once I am able to feel it all over my body, I try and make the “aura” wider, I try and make the “ball of light” bigger. So I picture it growing with each breath and encompassing every little thing in the room with me, until my aura has filled the room in every corner and with everything in it.
This grounds me and puts me in a meditative state. I fill the room with a bright white light (which purifies it at the same time). Then I make it come back to my core, and I do it all again, except I am my DR self in my DR room.
I feel my energy change when I switch to my DR self. I picture them meditating like I am now. Possibly my energy is not the same colour or shape anymore. And I try, progressively, to feel it everywhere in my body and then I try to make it bigger and to have my DR self’s aura encompass the aura of every last little thing in my DR room - until I fill it with a bright white light.
This grounds me in my DR room. It’s a five-senses method in a way, I think it achieves the same thing. It’s one of my favourite exercices to connect with my DR. If I do it as an asleep method, I’ll affirm that I’ll wake up in my DR and go to sleep peacefully and with confidence.
🌞 the birdsong method
I close my eyes and think of bird songs. As many as I can. I picture them singing by my DR room window. If I focus I start hearing them - I can’t tell if it’s real or in my head. Cue the Dumbledore quote.
🌞 the lucid dream method
I was really shit at shifting so I learned to lucid dream to spice things up and get fun results. I thought it’d be a waste of time but I just could. not. shift for the life of me, and I needed a big fat break. I learned to lucid dream to keep a connection with all that stuff. It gave me so much!!! I dream of my comfort people all the time.
I have a method for lucid dreaming and it works for me. So I thought I’d apply it to shifting.
🌙 First, my method to lucid dream:
I set my intention throughout the day. I remind myself I have the intention to lucid dream and so I need to do tons of reality checks. My go-to are looking at my hands, thumb through the palm and blocking my nose, checking if I can breathe. I do these like 50 times a day lmao
In the evening, I turn off my phone and computer and I have dinner and do my little yoga routine. If I’m ready to pass out then I do so, if not I meditate and/or read.
I have a little pouch filled with lavender. It was made by my best friend (the one who taught me to meditate) and I keep it on my bedside table. When I intend to lucid dream, I give it a good sniff lmao lavender helps with sleep stuff
I have been known to address a formal prayer to Helios or Selene or Hermes for lucid dreams.
Then I lay on my back for a little bit because it helps put me in a meditative state, and I affirm that I’ll lucid dream. What’s nice about intending to lucid dream is that you have to go to sleep. It’s just such a good way to get better sleep because you have to sleep to achieve what you want.
I often have to wake up in the middle of the night and go back to sleep in order to lucid dream. It’s sometimes a part of the process.
Once I’m lucid I have to remember to rub my hands together to get grounded. Then I try and spend time with my comfort people because it makes me so happy and silly.
🌙 If I want to shift:
I need to find a door or a window or a kind of portal. If there isn’t any, I’ll make one. I need to really focus and visualise my DR on the other side, and affirm hard af that I’ll shift to my DR when I go through. Then I go through.
🌙 Applied to shifting:
If I can lucid dream by affirming that I’ll lucid dream and going to sleep after a light meditation, then I can do the exact same thing for shifting. It works for lucid dreaming, it makes. me. lucid. dream. So meditate, affirm, be assured that it works because it has worked before.
🌞 the shifting feeling method
Lay down, close your eyes and just try and get your consciousness out of there and into your DR, like you’re launching your mind really hard through the stars. It’s like a big knot of focused energy right through your forehead.
🌙 I can compile several of these methods: first stretch and meditate - get in a meditative state - then the aura method - getting grounded in my DR - then the shifting feeling method and from there the birdsong method, affirming I have shifted and can hear my DR. I know that when I do any of these methods and set my intention, one of three things happens:
🌙 I will shift
🌙 I will lucid dream
🌙 I’ll have a dream about my DR.

*.˗ˏˋ Use DEILD to enter the void in secondsˎ˗.*
~featuring a lucid dreamer’s unintended success story I found on YouTube~

Incoming Topics..
*PART 1 <RECAP: What is Deild? >*
*PART 2 < The success story >*
*PART 3 < How to use DEILD for the Void >*
*PART I < What is the DEILD method? > *
If you haven’t read my original post on DEILD I have linked it down below towards the end of this one. I recommend checking it out for an in depth tutorial on the method, but I’ll give a quick explanation here as well-
To put it simply, it is a technique that is traditionally used to get fast and easy lucid dreams. Upon waking you lie still and keep your eyes closed, tricking your body into thinking that you never woke up and then within seconds the dream reforms except now you’re aware in it! You can also create a new dream or you might enter a false awakening which becomes a lucid dream. This method works SO QUICKLY it’s seriously like a LD method shortcut!
I’ve heard of lucid dreamers talking about the void before but after watching a YouTubers video about a lucid dream he had, I realized he actually used the DEILD technique to go straight to the void in SECONDS, unintentionally! Which is something I hadn’t thought about doing before-merging the lucid dream technique WITH 👏🏼 THE VOID 👏🏼 TECHNIQUES!! 👏🏼 So for those of you attempting to enter the void state from a lucid dream, this can be used as a SHORTCUT on top of a SHORTCUT! 🙌🏼 Yes ma’ammmm y’all seriously need to come try this one out because when I say SECONDS I’m talking secondsss-no more waiting 20 minutes for your left brain to turn off, no more long breath work exercises or reality checks or hours of lying still, affirming, no more battling with creating portals-the void can be EFFORTLESS and induced in under a minute.
*PART 2 < The lucid dreamer’s success story> *
There’s this lucid dreamer on YouTube called TIGER123 who posts about lucid dreaming techniques and his own lucid dream experiences- he actually has a video tutorial on DEILD as well (which is linked in my OG DEILD post)
So, I was at work looking for something to watch and saw he posted a new video about a lucid dream he had recently. Well, I can tell you wasn’t expecting him to literally open the video by talking about how he woke up from a regular dream, realized it was the perfect opportunity to perform DEILD and get lucid, and then. AS HE’S PERFORMING DEILD. He enters the void! Just like that. While he was in the void he visualized the dream scene he wanted to be in and he said he was there within 10 seconds. Aka he instantly manifested entering the exact lucid dream he wanted to be in, from the void state.
This is someone who doesn’t believe in shifting or astral projection, wasn’t trying to enter the void, thinks the void is just an unformed lucid dream space that can be used to form a new lucid dream, doesn’t know you can manifest from that state and yet STILL got in and STILL manifested. Since he viewed the void as a place he can form a new lucid dream thats what he did. He still manifested instantly, he just MANIFESTED going from the VS to being in a lucid dream. This should just go to show you guys how REAL the void state is, because someone who doesn’t even know about it and wasn’t trying to get in STILL did it. (SO CAN YOU btw)
The void isn’t a concept created on tumblr. Lucid dreamers have experienced it for years, meditators experience it, yogis, followers of Neville Goddard and multiple religious practices do too; It’s just called by different names and defined differently, but all the experiences describe the same thing. So if tumblr success stories aren’t trustworthy enough to you, or motivating enough-expand your research and find hundreds of stories similar to this one-lucid dreamers thinking it’s just an unformed dream and yogis thinking it’s just a really relaxing deep meditative state etc…
*PART 3< How To Use DEILD to enter the VS> *
I linked the video at the bottom, he doesn’t really talk about the void much or deild because the video is about the actual contents of the dream he had, but the part he does talk about it is right at the beginning, the first 30 seconds or so, if you’re curious in checking it out but this is pretty much what he said about it, written out-
“First I was in a space dream and then I woke up and kind of realized I had just woken up from a dream and was able to stay still and kind of reenter into it and fall back asleep and I ended up in the void. You know that like complete blackness where it’s really easy to reform the dream and since I was there I figured I would just try to go to the beach because when I’m in this void state I can really go anywhere I want. I just reformed the beach and I ended up on the exact beach I was imagining in like 10 seconds.”
So boom. Thats’s it thats ALL. That simple. So here’s the exact steps to do if you want to enter the void through DEILD too and be the next success story:
Before bed: affirm “I will remember to stay still upon awakening. I will effortlessly enter the void using DEILD” or some variation of this (optional)
Visualize yourself waking up, staying still, and entering the void state (optional)
Go to sleep, with the calm certainty that this will work.
Wake up. Keep your eyes closed and lie still
You can keep a blank mind and wait, trusting that your subconscious will induce the void automatically, since you already set the intention the night before
5a. Or right after waking, with your eyes closed you can begin affirming that you are pure consciousnes and imagine yourself already in the void, or imagine yourself sinking gently down into the void state until you are truly there. This method is so effective you should be in the state within a minute or less.
And remember, the void state can’t be forced, just like sleep can’t be forced. All you can do is create the right conditions for it to occur naturally. It’s okay if you don’t get it right away. Focus on trust, not control. Avoid over analyzing whether it’s working while you’re performing the technique, just allow it to flow and happen. You saw he just literally lied still waiting for the dream to form and then he was in. It’s that effortless. Give it a go and report back in the comments 🫶🏼 Happy enteringgg

how to reality shift
method one: pure awareness
for those who have never heard of it, the state of pure awareness is exactly what it sounds like: pure awareness, detached from the input of your 3D senses, a state where you are no longer grounded to the 3D. this means you will not feel your body, or any surroundings at all. for those who have already heard of it, you may have heard this referred to as "the void state" or "the void", (especially recently,) but i don't like this term as it implies that "the void" is some sort of place that you go to, and it's not. "the void state" is not somewhere you go, it is a state of being and experiencing that you become.
what is the state of pure awareness?
the state of pure awareness is just you. you are your awareness, and the state of pure awareness is just you, without the data and input of your 3rd dimensional senses distracting you.

why does pure awareness help with reality shifting?
when we reality shift, our goal is to find a way to trigger our awareness into a movement in the 4th and 5th dimensional directions. for some, this is easier to do when you are not distracted by the 3D. this isn't because it's impossible to shift while aware of the 3D! on the contrary, lots of people shift while totally awake and aware in the 3D, in either their CR, or their DR, or even both. but for most of us, our awareness is really used to and really comfortable piloting our 3D body here. so perhaps try getting into a state of pure awareness and see if that helps you trigger a shift.
i believe the state of pure awareness is natural, a side effect of the simple fact that the bodies we inhabit are 3D, and our awareness isn't. our awareness is not a 3D object, mass, or body part. you can't point to and say "there it is, that's human awareness." but in our current states, our awareness gets all this input and data about reality from a 3D body.
the reason you see nothing and feel nothing when you're in the state of pure awareness is because when your awareness is not focusing on input from your 3D body, there is nothing for your to "see", "feel" or "hear" and no body for you to see, feel or hear it with. those are 3D concepts, and 3D senses.
how will i know im in the state of pure awareness?
you will have absolutely zero input from your 3D senses. there will be nothing, and yet you will be totally and comfortably aware. that means if your body feels tingly, floaty, dizzy, fuzzy, etc you are not in pure awareness. if you see hallucinations, flashes of light, etc, you are not in pure awareness. if your thoughts are muddled, dreamlike, or confused, you are not in pure awareness. if things change or destabilize into a different dreamlike scene, you are not in pure awareness. if you can feel your 3D body in any way, you are not in pure awareness.
how do i get into the state of pure awareness?
there are many different ways to get into the state of pure awareness. if one way doesn't work for you, please feel free to try another or even make up your own way. now, technically, you don't need a method to do this. because the state of pure awareness is not some place we have to travel to or a locked dungeon we need a secret key to get into... it hypothetically is possible to simply instantly get into the state of pure awareness. ie, to completely let go of 3D distraction, and become pure awareness right now. so, first, i urge you to try it. like, actually. pause your reading, and try to become pure awareness.
did it work?
if yes, congratulations, you've done it! you don't need to read the rest of this, or maybe skip down to the 'troubleshooting' section if you're one of those people who can get into the state of pure awareness but finds they aren't triggered to reality shift from it, and just came back here without being able to shift to your DR.
if it didn't work, do not despair. i think you're fully capable of getting into the state of pure awareness, and it may start to feel more natural and happen with more ease with practice. for now, here are some pointers.

method 1(a)
meditation. don't let that word scare you off! i'm someone with adhd, and ptsd. in my past, meditation was always spoken about or taught to me in a way that was completely ineffectual for me. i thought meditation just didn't work on me. turns out, all i needed was a method that was accessible for me, and for someone to explain what meditation actually is in first place because it turns out, what i was trying to force my mind to do isn't even needed or isn't even what mediation is. so no wonder why it didn't work! i'm planning to make a much longer "how to meditate" series for those who struggle, but for now i'm going to be fairly brief. if it doesn't work, just move on to 1(b), or 1(c) for now.
step one: choose an environment. it's okay if there are distractions, but it may help you to pick the most comfortable environment possible, whatever that means to you. do you want to be alone? outdoors? in the dark? what position do you want to be in? etc.
step two: relax your physical body, if you can. however this might look for you. can't relax? hold space for your body to relax if it can, but don't force it. some people find it easier to physically relax if they first tense up as hard as they can, and then let it go. this is the stage where some choose to focus on their breathing, do a body scan, etc. once you feel you are relaxed enough, turn your attention away from your physical body. note: this does not mean that your physical body has to stop feeling sensations. your nerves and senses will continue to function, because they always do, and that's their job. that's okay. your goal is not to force your body to be numb and comatose because it won't be. if physical sensations come to your awareness, simply acknowledge them and let it pass you by.
step three: relax your mind, if you can. however that might look for you. keep in mind, this does not mean to "clear your mind" in the sense of having no thoughts at all. that's not necessary, and your brain is meant to think. begin to let it do that without you. that's okay. if thoughts come to you, simply acknowledge them and let them pass you by. it may help to focus your awareness on something in your imagination, while you allow your brain to think in the background. common ones are counting, visualizing thinks like smoke, light, or a rhythmic activity like swimming, walking, etc.
at some point during steps two or three, you may start to experience hypnogogic symptoms. they aren't the goal with this method, and you don't need to focus on them. if you feel them, that's okay, just acknowledge the sensations and let them pass.
struggling to let thoughts pass you by? it may help to take a similar approach with your mind as some do with the body, taking the "tense your body and then release to relax". "tense"/focus on each one of your thoughts, acknowledge it, and then let it go. if it helps, try to visualize (or create the idea of) a place to put them. this could mean floating them away into the clouds, placing them into a box, or tossing them off a cliff. whatever you pick, acknowledge you do not need to be aware of that thought or sensation right now, and put it away for later. it may help to visualize putting them all in there, and then closing the box or turning away from wherever you put it.
step four: pure awareness. for this step, i'm gonna ask you to pick one thing to focus on. your mind and body should be relaxed, with no sensations or thoughts distracting you, it's all just passing you by. pick one thing. it could be anything. a mantra (ie, repeating "i am" in your mind) counting, a visualization (a place, maybe an object, or a simple, repeating sensation like the sound of ocean waves or the feeling of breeze on your skin.) whatever it is, turn your full awareness to that. take as long as you need, revisiting steps three and four whenever necessary. is your full awareness on your chosen focus? great, now let it go.
one of two things will happen. either your awareness will let go and you'll become a state of pure awareness, or distractions will spring back up. let them if they do, it's okay. it may take practice, you may have to bring yourself back up and stop for now and try again another time, or you may be able to continue if you go back through steps two and three and make another attempt.

method 1(b)
hypnogogia. some people experience hypnogogia when they meditate, but this is not a meditation method. this method is for those who don't want to meditate but who naturally experience hypnogogia when they're waking up or as they're falling asleep. identify which you experience, and plan to make use of it the next time it happens. you can increase the chances of it occurring very simply, if you're someone this works for.
for as you're falling asleep: every night when you go to sleep, your body and mind fall asleep, and they actually do this separately. the next time you're going to bed, and you'd like to reality shift, just try to keep your mind aware. you don't have to do anything special, you can just let your mind think normally. to avoid falling asleep, just keep your awareness focused, rather than letting it slip away as you would when you are going to sleep. if you need something to help hold your awareness in your mind, try counting, or visualizing, or focusing on one minute sense (ie, the weight of your blankets, or the sound of the refrigerator buzzing from the kitchen.) just let your body fall asleep. you don't have to do anything in particular to let this happen. your body naturally falls asleep every night, just don't get in the way of the process and it'll do the same as it always does. at some point, your mind will still be awake but your body will begin to fall into sleep, and this is when you start to experience symptoms of hypnogogia. lights flashing, hallucinations, fuzzy or tingly sensations, spinning, dizziness, floating, etc.
for as you're waking up: basically the same as above, but do it right after waking up instead. if you struggle with letting your body fall asleep when you first go to bed, this method might help you. right when you wake up, your body is still fully of sleepiness, and it's generally much easier for your body to fall back asleep than it was to fall asleep in the first place. use that, relax, keep your awareness in your mind and wait until the hypnogogia symptoms start. (this one doesn't often work for me because i have ptsd, and when i wake up i often immediately jump into fight or flight mode, totally and instantly awake. if that's you, this might not be the method for you!)
once you're in hypnogogia: there are a few ways you can go about this, and you can try both.
try focusing on the hypnogogic sensations. these are not real 3D senses, and your goal is to get away from the 3D distractions, so chase them. stay in them as long as you can. this technique is kind of like following the white rabbit down into wonderland, except that it's your awareness following strange buzzy sensations and flashing lights out of your body. try this until the 3D completely falls away, and the hypnogogia falls away next, leaving you in the void much like the white rabbit ditched alice when she fell down that hole.
did the hypnogogia not fall away? don't panic, try technique two: manually let go of the hypnogogic sensations. let them pass. actually, avoid them. your arms are tingling? notice it, and shift your awareness away. body spinning? let it go. don't try to focus your awareness on anything, just let things happen while you focus on being aware.
eventually, you should become pure awareness. if you try a few times and can't, this might not be the best method for you. some people are overwhelmed or distracted by symptoms of hypnogogia rather than being able to use it to reach pure awareness. just see what works for you!

method 1(c)
lucid dreams. when you become lucid in a dream, you're almost already in the state of pure awareness. if you know about lucid dreaming, you might understand what i mean. you're lucid, and you're fully detached from the 3D. that's great, that's the pure awareness state, right?..... not quite, because of the "dream" part. in most lucid dreams, there is still that "dreamlike" quality. however, if you're someone who is able to lucid dreams often, and have the skill to stabilize your lucid dream, you can also develop the skill to dismiss the dream entirely. that way, you go from lucid dreaming, to just lucid. (ie, pure awareness.)
i won't go too deep into how to have a lucid dream here because there's so much to say (if anyone requests it, i might make a follow up later about how to lucid dreaming!) but for now, the relevant info is how to stabilize the dream, giving you the ability to dismiss it.
so you're lucid. awesome! now what?
first, perform reality checks to confirm that you are lucid dreaming. poke your finger through your hand. did it go through? you are dreaming. now pinch your nose, and take a deep breath. did you breath? you are dreaming. look for a clock, or create one. look at the time, look away, and look back again. did the time change? you are dreaming. look for a mirror, or create one. look at your reflection. are you dreaming?
continue using reality checks intermittently. i've found that people can be fully lucid, and then forget they're dreaming and lose control.
now to stabilize the dream. first, stabilize yourself. hold up your hands. how many fingers do you have? touch the tip of your index finger to each finger on your other hand as you count them. are there five on each hand? good. now press your hands together, palm to palm, and rub. can you feel it? great! clasp your hands together, intertwining your fingers, and then pull them apart. count your fingers again. still five on each hand? great, you're ready to move on.
now stabilize your surroundings. to do this, use each of your five senses. first, look at something and notice the details. is it colorful? is it clear? now listen. can you hear anything? what about touch, reach out and touch something. hold it in your hand, and focus on keeping it there. smell it, and then taste it. (it sounds weird, but it really helps.)
now practice dream control. that thing in your hands, do you still have it? if not, redo the previous step. if yes, great! now turn it into something else, change the color, or the size. now make your thing disappear, but on purpose. now make something else appear. then make it disappear. do another reality check. do you still have five fingers?
now to dismiss the dream. this might take a few tries, as your brain is dreaming, it will try to add things in, or take you into a new dream. focus on your awareness, and insist on staying aware while the dream disappears. it may seem easier to dismiss things one by one (ie, the walls, the floor, then your body) but in my experience this can make things less stable. try dismissing everything all at once, if you can.
did it work? confirm that you're in the state of pure awareness (see: how will i know i'm in the state of pure awareness? above.) are your thoughts clear, consistent, and in control? are you totally stable, with no risk of waking up or coming out of the state? if not, you may still be dreaming. if you realize you're still dreaming, just let yourself enter a new dream scene and repeat the step above.

what do i do once im in the state of pure awareness? how do i shift?
actually, there's a lot you can do! but this is a reality shifting post, so that's what we'll focus on. once you've confirmed you're in the state of pure awareness, you are no longer aware of any 3D at all. hypothetically, it's just as easy to become aware of your DR from there as it is to become aware of this reality. first, try just doing it. become aware of your DR.
did that work? if not, try some of the tools you'd use to trigger a shift in general, except now you're doing them from the state of pure awareness with zero 3D distractions.
relax. there is absolutely zero rush. time does not pass here the way it does in the 3D. in the 3D, we perceive time as passing linearly, but your awareness is no longer tied to the third dimension. you have no body here, and you are not attached to your 3D brain or mind either. relax in your awareness.
visualize your DR. i think visualization is one of our most powerful tools for reality shifting, and it's even better in the void with no distraction. remember, you don't need to create the whole world with the power of your mind. you're not creating the world, and you're not traveling there. you're already there, you're just becoming aware of it. focus your awareness on small things about your DR. i think it helps to choose a few that feel close, familiar, or very real. where are you? what's your name? what are you going to do next? what are you wearing? what do you always have in your pockets when you leave the house? your favorite piece of jewelry? what does it feel like?
repeat. this could be a mantra, counting, your visualization, whatever, just pick something, if you find that repeating is something that helps you.
now visualize the very moment you want to shift into. use your senses, but don't force yourself to use one that's not coming naturally, ie don't sit there thinking "oh no, now i have to think of something to taste-" let go. you, dear reader who is reading this right now, are you thinking of one thing you can taste? probably not. unless you're eating hot chips. your DR self doesn't have to try to focus on being there, you're just there. so what are you sensing? are you seeing anything? smelling anything? hearing anything? feeling anything? don't create these sensations, or force yourself to feel them, you're in the state of pure awareness and you can't feel anything anyways. just reach for them.
at some point, you should become aware of your DR. in my experience, you don't have to force yourself there and there's no "symptoms" of being about to be there, especially because if you're in the state of pure awareness so there's no 3D sensations at all. it may feel like a "blip" or like a "pull" or a "blink" or like a "shift", and then you're there.
troubleshooting:
i can't get into the state of pure awareness.
don't worry, it's not the only way to reality shift. if 1(b) and 1(c) don't work for you, consider waiting for my meditation guides to be out, or methods 2 and 3, or come up with something all your own. you do not need to get into the state of pure awareness to reality shift, it's just one method that helps some people.
i got into the state of pure awareness, but i didn't shift.
well, there's two possibilities here. either you weren't actually in the state of pure awareness (ie, you accidentally fell asleep, or into a dream, or you were in some other meditative state you mistook for pure awareness).... or you did shift. to here. when you're pure awareness, you're not aware of this 3D reality, so when you became aware of this 3D reality, that was you reality shifting to here. oops! it happens, you can try again. do you remember how it felt when you reality shifted here from pure awareness? what triggered it? see if you can use that, and try to reverse engineer whatever made you become aware of here, to become aware of your DR next time instead.
if it does not work, over and over, then the state of pure awareness may not be what helps trigger you to shift to your DR. try a different method!
ok lovelies that's all for now!
-shimmer

what is rem sleep activation and how does it relate to shifting? pt 1
my belief is that all sleep methods involve some form of a dream state that shifts you. it is my personal belief is that rem sleep is the key to shifting many people do not know about.
rem sleep, or dream sleep, occurs about every 90 minutes and often gradually grows longer each time and it was when dreams occur.
if you are able to “activate” a long rem sleep phase- aka interrupt it by waking up during it, it would help with shifting is a couple reasons.
when in interrupted rem sleep, or rem sleep activation, which is also known as wake back to bed in lucid dreaming circles, your brain is releasing theta brainwaves, which means the left side (or more logical side) is temporarily “turned off” and the right is more dominant since it is used to create dreams.
this theta state also known in shifting as the void state which i’m sure you’re familiar with is a deep state of self hypnosis meaning you are more susceptible to the information that you’re told. this is especially since the logical side of the brain is less active.
many people shift when waking in the night and simply intending to shift.
from this rem activated state you can do many things (most popularly lucid dream) the reason is, waking during rem sleep, guarantees you will directly enter a dream when you go back to bed and you can do so consciously.
part II will discuss how to get to this state, how to know you're in it, and how to shift from it <3 like, reblog, and follow to see more content like this (including part II) and as always comment with any questions <33

tried to shift through a lucid dream like 5 times today. i was determined. i thought i shifted but realized it was still a dream 🙄
i don’t know whether to carry on trying this method. i’ve had 100+ lucid dream attempts and it’s only worked once.
ig i could affirm i can shift from a lucid dream.

Why do people think shifting is lucid dreaming. It's completely unrelated.
i’ve seen a lot of people in the community say lucid dreaming and shifting is related, however never really looked into how or why, so in order to not spread misinformation accidentally, i won’t mention it in those terms.
however, non-shifters who say shifters are just lucid dreaming, honestly just don’t understand the basics of shifting itself. how can it be a lucid dream, when i don’t even need to sleep in order to shift?
another thing that separates lucid dreaming from shifting, is the fact that you cannot control your dr once you’re in it (well, not in the way one would in a lucid dream. you can alter your reality with loa).
and the most obvious difference - lucid dreaming is a dream, whilst shifting is changing reality.
if anyone has anything to add about their opinions on the relation lucid dreaming has to shifting, reblog, i’d love to learn more:)

*.˗ˏˋ DEILD- The Quickest And Easiest Method To Lucid Dream That I know ´ˎ˗.*
Listennnn, I love the lucid dream method down. It is AND ALWAYS WILL BE my favorite way to shift, apart from the void state.
BUT I know I cannot be the only one struggling to get lucid😩😭 At least I used to struggle before I found DEILD. I found other techniques tedious, having to do constant reality checks during the day felt like a chore and lying completely still in bed for 30+ minutes waiting for my body to fall asleep was quite literally torture to me. IF I could stay awake through it because most times I couldn’t or just rolled over and gave up because nothing was happening and I was très uncomfortable.
I’ve tried mild, SSILD, fild, ALL THE “ILDS” every single one and while they are effective, I’ve finally found the technique that works best for me and takes the least amount of time so I thought I would share, just in case it may help someone else!
With this technique you…..
Go from being awake directly into a lucid dream without falling asleep (this is called a wake initiated lucid dream and in my experience I feel more aware and in control with these vs when I randomly become aware in the middle of my dream. They are also easier to remember if you have poor dream recall. )
Are able to start the lucid dream scene in the privacy of your own room so you don’t have to worry about trying to shift in the middle of distracting dream scenes or dealing with distracting dream characters
You can save a Lucid dream that’s been cut short or even have several lucid dreams in one night using this method
Don’t need to do reality checks during the day if you don’t want to or do any other daytime prep
The whole thing takes 10-30 seconds START TO FINISH!
The technique…
*.˗ˏˋ DEILD ´ˎ˗.*
Dream Exit Initiated Lucid dream
Steps…
Before bed set the intention that when you wake up you will immediately remember to perform DEILD
Set a touchless alarm to wake you up anywhere from 3-6 hours after falling asleep. I like this one! Maybe put it in a playlist with a lucid dreaming subliminal or theta waves set to play after the alarm goes off to boost your chances of becoming Lucid🌙
Go to bed as normal. As I fall asleep I like to imagine myself waking up to the alarm and successfully performing DEILD. Then I imagine myself successfully entering the void from the LD and then successfully waking up in my wr. I loop this sequence until I fall asleep. I do this to help me remember to do the technique the second I wake up, but it is not at all necessary.
Immediately upon waking and hearing the alarm, I try to remember to stay still and not open my eyes. Minimal movement is fine, but we’re trying to convince our body that we’re still asleep! The alarm will shut off on its own.
Wait for what feels like 10 seconds without actually counting (Again, you don’t want to activate your Brain and wake yourself up too much )
After it feels like 10 seconds have gone by, do a reality check like the nose pinch test EVEN IF YOU FEEL WIDE AWAKE and don’t think you could possibly already be back asleep in only 10 seconds. Most of the time you’ll already be in what is called a false awakening-when you think you’re awake in bed but you’re actually dreaming
If you were able to breathe through your closed nose you are now in a lucid dream starting out in your room. You can proceed to shift to your dr in any way you like-some of my go to’s are:
-creating a portal
-entering the void and shifting from there
-entering the astral realm and shifting from there
-waking myself up from the dream but intending to wake up in my dr not my cr
Editors note:
If when you do the nose pinch test, you are still awake, repeat step 6 up to 2 more times. If by this point, you still have not entered a lucid dream, it is best to go back to bed and try again the next time you wake up. This method is very effective but fragile, as it is best performed in that very small hypnopompic window right when you are teetering on the edge of awake and asleep.
Why this method works…
When you wake up from sleep and don’t move or open your eyes, it tricks your body into thinking that you’re still asleep and it puts you back in a dream, even though your mind is actually awake! This is why a touchless alarm is helpful, or you can use natural awakenings.
Troubleshooting the method…
The hardest part about this method is remembering to stay still as soon as you wake up.
You can set the intention to remember to do so before bed
You can also use prospective memory training during the day (every time you look in a mirror/ drink something/ plug in your phone/ enter a different room etc you can affirm “the next time I wake up I will immediately remember to perform DEILD” )
And if you move by mistake or have to use an alarm that needs manually turned off, all is not necessarily lost. it’s still worth trying anyway as long as you think you’ll be able to fall back asleep! Just wait 30 seconds instead of 10 before doing a reality check and consider using an anchor to help keep you focused and awake (could be focusing on the sound of the subliminal if you made a playlist, or the sound of a fan etc)
TLDR OF THE TECHNIQUE:
Wake up either naturally or to a touch-less alarm. If you must use a manual alarm, keep movement minimal as to not activate your brain too much.
Lie still with your eyes closed and keep a blank mind for 10-30 seconds
Do a reality check to see if you are lucid dreaming
Shift from the lucid dream

THE HYPNAGOGIC STATE: A GUIDE

SIDE NOTES: ‣ An "anchor" is a means to remind yourself to maintain mental focus and lucidity. Gently attach your awareness to the something and allowing it to act as an "anchor".
‣ You will know when you have entered the hypnagogic state if you feel your awareness slipping from you/dozing off to unconscious sleep and you feel extremely drowsy, foggy, groggy - like you could just barely open your eyelids if you forced it and hard to think or form proper thoughts.
‣ It doesn’t matter whether you actually believe in your assumptions so continue to persist and don’t focus on the doubts.
