hello Queenie, long time no see. For 6 sentence shenanigans, how about your Inquisitor feeling my level of frustration with how big the map is and how much of it is just fetch quests and collecting items in the middle of nowhere 🙏 They've got enough stuff to do!!

It was hard to say whether it was any one thing that did it - perhaps it was the sun relentlessly beating down on them as they tromped across the field, maybe it was the smell of wolf-spit and wet fur still clinging horribly to their clothes, or even still, one might think it was the fact the herbalist had sadly proclaimed (for the third time in a row) that no, sorry, they were just a few blooms of Crystal Grace short for what she needed - but whether it was any of those, a combination therein, or something else entirely, the fact of the matter remained.

The Inquisitor had had enough.

She gave no warning before she stopped, her hands splayed out as though trying to stop some invisible force as she squeezed her eyes shut as tight as they'd go. "This...is...madness," she said slowly, each word delivered like a punch to the gut; it broke the dam, however, and once that happened, there seemed to be no staunching it, her syllables picking up speed with each passing moment, "I am the Herald of Andraste - the Herald of Andraste! - and while I could be...closing rifts, or strategizing against Corypheus's forces, or uniting countries, or...or...overthrowing the entire Orlesian empire should I so choose, I'm out here walking in circles and collecting bear claws because a scrap of paper on the ground told me to?! Where is the sense in that - where is the sense in any of this?!"

Her voice echoed for a moment, the last crack of anger resounding like a lightning strike, but when finally it faded and only her strained breathing could be heard, Vivienne heaved an entirely feigned (but still rather put-upon) sigh and asked, "Darling, if you didn't want to help me find my book, that's truly all you had to say."

Sadly, his bio on Lego.com is no longer on the site, but I know the first bio for him is canon from playing Lego Legacy: Heroes Unboxed, so the second is likely too. So to summarize, one of the few original official Lego superheroes/vigilantes (so not a licensed character from like Marvel or DC or TMNT) is a rogue fast food mascot. It’s pretty much just Chicken Suit Guy and a couple of lunchadors. There also might be a tokusatsu style hero from Collectable Minifigure series 20 (I think that’s the one, he’s the power rangers looking guy) but I don’t know if he is meant to be like a space marine in Lego or more of a superhero. I believe Lego stopped giving bios to their collectable minifigures, to my eternal annoyance.

Also I genuinely like him, when I was playing Lego Legacy he was my favorite character by far. Runner up was probably Basil the Bat Lord, since he was one of my first minifigures along with Johnny Thunder.

Marc Spector: 

I am absolutely enticed by the thought of Moon Knight on a rollercoaster. There’s no visible indication that he’s enjoying it - hell, the only thing moving is his cape, but he’s secretly having fun. Got the poker face of the century though. He goes on all the rides and goes :| the whole time. 

Bucky Barnes:

Bucky has fun at the amusement park. He’s had more than his share of drama, he’s allowed to have a little fun. He’s outraged by how goddamn expensive it is, but it’s fun. Look at all these contraptions! He likes the shooting games. 

Clint Barton:

Clint Barton is banned from anything involving hitting targets or getting things inside hoops, holes, whatever you name, the vendor recognizes him on sight and makes him go away. He doesn’t love amusement parks, but his fun comes from the greasy food and dragging his friends onto the scariest rides possible and then watching them panic. (It doesn’t work on Bobbi or Natasha, but sometimes he’ll get Bucky. Kate has the same tactics, so they cancel each other out.) 

Vanya Hargreeves:

(Comics Vanya, although you can imagine Ellen Page if you must.) Someone please put Vanya on a merry-go-round. The girl’s never had any real fun in her life apart from music. I’m imagining Allison dragging her out and Vanya’s not particularly impressed by amusement parks as a whole, but she’s loving that it’s an activity that other people will want to do with her. She deserves it.

Sam Wilson:

Please. Sam has to introduce the concept of amusement parks to half his team. He’s pretty neutral on them - there’s a lot of screaming and the birds are feral, but he prides himself on being a good uncle and if he takes the kids off of his sister’s hands, he’ll take them to the park and load them up on sugar. The same principle applies with half the Avengers, honestly. Most of the high-flying rides aren’t his thing, but he’s a killer at dodgems.

All im thinking of is just the animals, so I guess it would be the actual events of ud as they take place, but from the switching povs of the animals. Wolfie's time in the spotlight indeed...

Yeah, just all the animals (squirrels, birds, deer, and wolves) working together to try and keep these idiot teenagers alive till dawn cause they failed so badly with Hannah and Beth.

You are c r u s h i n g these ink drawings. What size are you doing? Is it all just one pen or are you incorporating markers/brush for the blocking? Do you thumbnail sketch beforehand or are you driving straight in with ink?

They’re all made on A5 pages (about 14 cm x 21 cm) in a sketchbook.

I’m using a S (thin) faber castel pen for the details and a large Prockey marker for the black blocks. Most of the criss-crossing lines are made with old, nearly destroyed S pens I’m keeping just for this kind of occasion, lol

I do a rough sketch beforehand on the same page.

G: I think my first real OTP as a child would have been Batman & Catwoman, because I absolutely shipped them from the movie and cartoons. I even made up little fanfics in my head where they had a kid together. I don’t ship it at all anymore, though. I think my tastes have changed drastically!

J: I found out about Welcome to Night Vale through tumblr, and through a friend who was into it. I don’t think I would have ever listened to it if it wasn’t for all the excellent tumblr content, though. Because it is horror-adjacent and I am a wuss about horror. That reminds me I really should catch up on that podcast!

Useless Headcanons about how each UD kid likes to celebrate their birthday

OHOHOHOHO!!! there are. so many of these fuckin kids, so i’m throwing this under a cut for the sake of everyone’s dashes

sam - the friend who never brings their bday up, and it’s not until you get a facebook notification that you realize it’s happened. other than maybe getting herself a special dessert, there’s no real celebration. other people must start the celebration FOR her. but never fear...they DO. consistently.

josh - you never know if you do or don’t want to be invited to a josh-wash bday affair. usually it’s very small, very tight-knit. he uses the word ‘intimate,’ and god you don’t appreciate that. usually there’s a movie or obscure board game involved, but A L W A Y S the primo snacks. the good shit. the best stuff.

ashley - gets embarrassed when there’s too much attention on her, so she does her best to avoid ANY situation where there will be (1) a big deal made out of cake, (2) more than 10 people, (3) SINGING! AND/OR! CLAPPING!!!!! instead tries to get a GROUP activity going (read: escape room), so her bday is more of a convenient happenstance and not the focus

chris - COSMIC! BOWLING! PARTY!!!!! take that old school bday party nostalgia and throw in some brewskis. we’re talkin’ GLOW STICKS, we’re talking SHITTY PIZZA, we’re talking ICE CREAM CAKE, we’re talking someone BARFING because they ate too much candy from the claw machine in the arcade, but mostly we’re talking BLACK LIGHT BOWLING, BABY!!!!!!!!!!!! he never scores more than 100

mike - a man who enjoys a bonfire and heavy drinking around said bonfire. i know what you’re thinking when you imagine a bonfire: something in a little pit surrounded by rocks or a grate. INCORRECT! you know those irresponsibly huge bonfires people would have at the end of the school year where they’d burn all their old homework??? yea. that. lots of booze and not nearly enough food - someone ends up getting (mostly) naked and jumping into the pool before the night is over

matt - one of the few who just. wants a traditional birthday. he just wants to go to a nice mid-tier restaurant and order too much food, and then follow that food with the biggest dessert on the menu. pretends NOT to love it when the staff comes out doing their weird royalty-free birthday song routine. absolutely DOES love it

emily & jess - okay these two i’m lumping together because god jesus mary and joseph above, both of them just. have. the biggest. parties. the biggest. it’s like the show ‘my sweet 16′ but for EVERY birthday. every single one. renting out venues. having themes. there’s catering. djs. MULTIPLE photobooths for insta-worthy selfies. they are constantly trying to one-up each other every year. it gets. vicious. and people PRAY for invites

Would you recommend someone start with 1 or jump straight to a specific one?

personally I really liked playing the full trilogy through! you make a stronger connection with your character that way; it’s totally possible to skip one but you’re missing out on a lot of great moments that define the tone of the series and set up the main villain! if you’re not a big sci-fi person though or if you’re unsure about if you’ll like the game, mass effect 2 is a really fun and amazing high-stakes game with a completely contained plot!

also ik you didn’t ask this, but if you have the potential to get the DLC for three you totally should because it’s SO good. like it’s so good

Well, after putting it off for like a year and a half, I finally cleared out most of the old ns/fw sketch doodles and reblogged art from here, I was tired of all the flagged stuff. I’m sure most of it didn’t even show up anyway but I didn’t want to bother anyone skimming this for the first time.

Sambucky: who's big/little spoon and what's their favorite activity together?

Sam is absolutely the little spoon. He doesn’t have to put up a front behind closed doors and sometimes it’s nice to just be held. Bucky loves it too, but if someone catches them doing their spooning the poor voyeur will be silenced. (Sam’s a private person, and Bucky enforces said privacy. Somehow Steve still manages to get a sneaky pic of them sleeping and puts it in his private scrapbook.)

Activity-wise, I was going to say music and I still stand by that - they’d love going to live bands to either make fun of them or enjoy the tunes - but I just got the mental image of Sambucky mini golf competitions and now it won’t leave my mind. I love the idea of them travelling around to get All the mini golf courses. Sometimes they’ll take Sharon and Natasha and play teams. (Steve and Clint aren’t allowed to play because they’re far too good at calculating angles, and instead go sightseeing.)
