I like to think Jigen has a kill count that easily rivals a war criminal and he just doesn’t fucking care. Like no angst side plot where he’s numb to the killing or has just accepted he’s a bad person or whatever, he just goes man that sucks for them but they were vaguely inconvenient for me so. Bang bang ykwm

lupin shoplifts, like just out of habit, even if he intended to actually purchase the stuff [ buying groceries, normal stuff like that ]. but if the man sees a piece of candy or something he likes, he instinctively slides it in his pocket
y'know like 10 years ago i was in the toy aisle at a walmart, and this little girl came up to me, asked me if i knew anything about shopkins, and i said "no, but i know i'm standing in front of them," so i moved aside as she continued to tell me about her huge collection. one of the baggies was barely torn open, she looked in it, said, "oh, i don't have this one!" pocketed that fucked up little ugg with a face, and went back to her grandfather all in the span of ten seconds.
in hindsight i think that was baby lupin

I like the idea that Goemon collects Western sayings or more "hip" Japanese slang he's fond of & eventually works up the courage to use them (to the gang's amusement.)
(ex. Sayonara sucker!, Goemon Ishikawa is in. the. house!, Yo, That is "B.S")

no i could write an essay on goemon he's the most character of all time. he constantly fucks off to do his own thing and works w the lupgang bc the pay is good. he's deeply connected to his ancestry and their ceremonies to the point of being shackled by them. he's a sword for hire he's a thief he's a massive bitch he has never hesitated when given the chance to kill lupin. he went into a dissociative fugue for 3 days then killed 14 people. he blushes if a woman looks at him for too long. he rides a moped. he's like 30 and his voice still cracks. he thinks sandwiches are the peak of foreign cuisine.

Lupin Zero: The Train Explosion HC PT3: The Tomoe Arc
Ya’ll knew this was coming.
With the end of Lupin Zero come and gone, I took some time to try and come up with more ideas for the Train Explosion headcanon series I posted here and here.
But before we begin I would like to thank everyone who spends time actually reading this brain garble. It means a lot to me that people actually like these ideas and it actually helps me with coming up with new ones
also before we begin, a special ping to @dagmartoons @lupin-le-troisieme and @geembywumbis, you guys happen to very much enjoy these ideas so I figured I would allow you guys too get first dibs!
(Minor/major spoilers for part 6 below)
The start of this idea is basically is no different to how I wrote it here with only some minor differences. Instead of Isei taking Lupin to go see Tomoe in an effort to help quell his grandson’s fears sometime after the incident that transpired with his Father, Isei instead takes him to go see Tomoe in a effort to help him deal with the traumatic events that transpired due to the train accident.
And it basically happens the same way regardless.
Despite Lupin’s attempts at acting like everything is OK, both Isei, but now also Jigen as this idea incorporates Lupin Zero, begin to notice that the boy isn’t as “ok” as he lets on. A while after he heals, he begins to show the classic symptoms of severe depression: he’s often times lethargic, sleeping all day, he’s loosing weight to a point where it becomes noticeable, is often times irritable, but one of the major things that entails the possibility of something being severely wrong is that he loose’s interest or at least the pleasure in engaging in certain activities. He no longer comes up with wild hair brain scheme’s, he no longer builds fancy gadgets, he no longer does anything that he is known for. And while jigen likes the slow pace in the beginning, as it goes on for longer then he anticipates he ends up bringing up his concerns with Lupin’s grandpa who also notes the same changes in his grandson that Jigen has noticed as well.
As the days go on and Lupin gets worse and worse to the point he’s practically a shell of his former self, Isei ultimately makes a choice. Something has to be done before he looses his grandson to his spiraling.
But what?
In the end we all know what happens.
With no other options that have worked including therapy and worried deeply for the safety of his grandson’s mental and physical health, Isei brings little Lupin to meet a lady who teaches not far from where they live in Japan, who has agreed fullheartdly to help bring the boy some peace.
This woman is named Tomoe.
She’s a small woman, who at first glance gives off a kind motherly vibe; she is sweet talking, soft spoken and has been friends with the Lupin Family since The Second had met her sometime  many years ago when the woman was working in the criminal underground as a prized hypnotist, using her gifts of the mind to aid in thievery and other various crimes, but also “moonlighting” as a hypnotist who lended her skills to aid those who suffered from traumatic events who conventional therapy could not help.
As the years went on before the incident regarding Lupin and the train, Tomoe had slowly wormed her way into the families good graces, building their trust- first with the second who had recommended her teachings to make Lupin fit to carry the family name, which was something the First did not agree with, and then with the First in order to aid the elderly man’s suffering grandson.
At first the session’s go well, and Isei notes a drastic change in improvement in his grandsons personality in such a short time; he becomes out going again, free spirited, fun loving like he use too be. But then something happens, the boy’s progress suddenly backpedal’s, he’s even more depressed then what he was before, putting himself into dangerous situations. And it is here that Tomoe suggests a more drastic approach,
out-patient, in home care therapy.
She recommends that she stay in the families house for a few months in order to have 24/7 access to Lupin, stating rather fearfully that it would be in the boys best interest as he trusts her.
Isei, not nothing the suspiciousness, agree’s.
Tomoe moves into the house with a series of ground rules. Two major ones Isei makes very clear:
That she’s only allowed to help him deal with his trauma only. No teachings of thievery like how the second wanted.
And number two, that she was not allowed in the basement of the house or anywhere near it.
Tomoe agrees.
As the months pass, Lupin’s progress grows and he’s practically back to how he was before the accident. In addition no incidents occur. Tomoe keeps her promise. For the time being anyways.
Jigen however does not trust her. Something feels off about her, something that sends his instinct’s into overdrive. But after a while even he is charmed by her warm motherly personality. Much like Isei, it isn’t long before Tomoe worms her way into Jigens good graces, and Jigen actually becomes happy to meet her every day after Lupin’s sessions when the two go out to play and such.
However this all turned out to be a ploy, turning out to be nothing more then woman’s way to garner friendship and trust as a way to sneak into the older man’s house and steal his riches. Of course knowing herself to not be that excellent of a thief to steal from the Great Arséne Lupin, she exploited the younger Lupin’s talents, garnering trust, saving him from the terrors that plagued him while also delving into his mind and hypnotizing him to do her bidding.
It starts simple. She has him steal small things first, things that won’t go noticed. In addition, it becomes clear that she alienates Lupin’s against his family and dearest friend. Because of her hypnosis, Lupin ends up spending every waking moment with Tomoe as the time pass’s, determined to stay near Tomoe even if it means giving up quality time with Isei and Jigen.
But Tomoe is ambitious, over confident in her skills and as a result she has the boy steal more and more items for her, and the boy does it without question, fully convinced that Tomoe is his mother and that he has to make her proud. However the pride she exhumes gets in the way, and one day Lupin steals an item that does not go noticed.
Tumblr media
When Isei inevitably finds out what she is doing, he is infuriated, he demands she return his grandson to him and leave his house and never come back, willing to pay her anything for his grandson’s safe return now knowing that the woman was more conniving then he thought.
However Tomoe does not budge, essentially holding the young child as ransom, threatening that she can easily undo what she has done to the boy’s progress, potentially leaving him in a even worser state then when she first had visited. She bargains with Isei, all but demanding he give up his house to her and that if he did no harm would come to Lupin, the woman fully intent on using the boy to find out the Lupin secret and hidden treasures.
Not wishing to put his grandson in any jeopardy, Isei agree’s. In exchange for Lupin’s safety and the promise that Tomoe will not let harm come to the boy, Isei gives up his house and moves, finding the safety of his grandson more important then that of the treasure.
However, as fate would have it, the bargain went about as well as anyone thinks it did. When Isei returns for his grandson sometime later, allowing Tomoe the projected time frame to allow her to do what she wish’s, Tomoe informs him that the young child has died in a accident, stating that she had over-estimated the child’s natural abilities as a thief and that one of their training exercises had gone terribly wrong and as a result Lupin had died.
Isei refusing to believe in such things demanded proof, and while it is unknown what Tomoe had said or shown the old man, he had slowly come to believe her. . .For that following evening, in the dead of night, a despondent, heartbroken Isei, ordered a hit on the woman, which his security team had carried out.
Jigen who had been gone for the week, returns to find the house in shambles, the security team on high alert. . .
And a heartbroken Isei who is the only person left to tell him that Lupin is never coming back, that the fears Jigen has had since the train of loosing Lupin have come true, the old man holding lil Jigen as he breaks down in his arms.
In the days that follow, Isei attempts to stay at the house, but each day gets harder and harder for him. And for Jigen too. And as time pass’s after loosing his best buddy, Jigen finds himself unable to stay in the place that had given him so many good memories because it’s those memories that make him think of the bestest friend he ever had who is now gone.
As a result, Jigen ultimately is the first one to leave.
He tries to stay for as long as he can because of Isei, practically finding the old man too be like second family, but inevitably he ends up leaving not long after, unable to stomach being in the house much less in its vicinity much longer.
In the weeks that followed, Isei too leaves Japan and returns home to France where he lives out the rest of his days. Despite all he does to try and move on, The First is still tormented over the apparent loss of his Grandson, and the resulting domino effect that costs him his home and his sons best friend who becomes almost like a second kid to him.
Very little remains to remind him of his grandson, something that bothers him for many years.
As for Jigen, he goes back to work for the mafia as a mercenary/hitman once again, but it’s a large tragic occurrence, with every bad thing that can happen to him, happening to him, his life falling apart without Lupin to be by his side.
As a result he goes back to old habits. He grows jaded once again. Cold. But he still keeps the caring side because Lupin helped bring that out of him and he doesn’t have the heart to throw that part of himself away just yet. But caring starts to hurt a lot more when you try to attach yourself to someone else and it all ends horribly. So as a result he spends much of his teenage/young adult life very nervous, shy tired and surprised by just how truly bleak the world is without his friend.
Because of his change in life style, Jigen also basically drops off the grid when he leaves and goes back to the Mafia. So when Lupin is discovered to still be alive some many years later, Isei sadly has no way of telling him about it.
Years pass; Isei’s age finally catches up with him and as a result he retires just shy of his birthday, faking his death and leaving the legacy of the Lupin family for Lupin himself to hold and carry on while he quietly lives out the rest of his life in secrecy.
Lupin himself goes off into the world. It would be almost two years until he happens to run into Jigen again one faithful day. The pair automatically recognizing each other. Life doesn’t go back to the way it was when the boys were younger, it never would.
But it comes close, because it gets better.
But no matter how better it gets, Jigen can’t help but notice
That Lupin.  . .isn’t the same like he use too be.
And somehow that scares him more then anything.
But what of Isei you might be asking yourself. What about him. Did him and Jigen ever meet up again.
Well yes, dear reader
They did.
It’s some time later after Lupin and Jigen meet up again. Isei had told Lupin a few months after his return about Jigen leaving the home and not hearing anything from him the years afterward.
It was Lupin’s idea to reunite the two, hoping that maybe the three of them all being back together would change something, would bring back some sense of normality that the last years have taken away.
He doesn’t tell Jigen of his plan. As far as Lupin knows, Jigen thinks the old man is dead. He knows he still holds guilt inside of himself for leaving all those years ago. But he also knows that if he tells Jigen, that Jigen ultimately would disregard the plan, the years worth of guilt plaguing him into thinking that visiting would just make things awkward and worse.
Isei lives in a new house now, so when they pull up too it Jigen doesn’t recognize it. Lupin leads Jigen inside, the maids and the butlers all off hiding in different parts of the house as to not disturb the reunion, making it seem like the house is deserted.
But it’s not.
It doesn’t take long for Lupin to escort Jigen into the large living room, and for Jigen too immediately recognize the old man sitting in the chair with a ornate, gold headed cane by his side
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And it’s the first time in years, more or less the first time since their reunion that Lupin has ever seen Jigen cry; he stands there watching, as Jigen gets on his knee’s tearfully apologizing for leaving Isei all those years ago as the old man strokes at his head and cries his own tears. It’s in that moment that Jigen truly realizes now that even though it would be a hard thing to do, that he should’ve stayed at the mansion with Isei.
Lord knowing that his life would have been so much easier
Then whatever hell he subjected himself too the moment that he left
Life doesn’t go back to the way it was like when the boys were younger. In some instances it gets harder, more dire and terrifying.
But in many ways it does get better.
and maybe that’s just as good.
_ _ _ Alright ladies gents and pals! That’s part 3 of this train thing. If you have any questions feel free to ask! I have other ideas for this.
enjoy and have a nice night :D

AS A COMMUNITY WE HAVE A GOD-GIVEN RIGHT TO REANIMATE THE ORIGINAL POPIPO MUSIC VIDEO WITH THE LUPIN THE THIRD CAST you could like. okay. hear me out. sounds like I’m playing favourites here but have Yata in place of Miku, since 1) he’s the one that matches Miku’s chaos in PoPiPo best, and 2) Nobunaga Shimazaki used to be a Utaite and covered Hatsune Miku songs all the damn time (the only one we have recovered from those days is Happy Synthesizer but it’s real! so I feel having the one voiced by a former Utaite would make sense). have Zenigata in place of Kaito because that’d be funny, Lupin and Jigen as Rin and Len because they’re having fun, Fujiko as Meiko and Goemon as Gakupoid. it could fucking work. we could do this.

Ohohoho give me more give me more! I love these :D
fjdskf okay ! glad other ppl enjoy this i could genuinely think abt little details all day. this is probably a good way to keep track of all the ideas i have floating around too :) again lots of backstory ones in here bc we know close to nothing so its fun to theorise !
even though jigen doesn't have the long tracable lineage of the rest of the gang, his early life wasn't very typical
he grew up in a super financially unstable environment. the neighbourhood was likely very poor and had a lot of shady characters taking advantage of the people trying to make ends meet.
trying to keep his family afloat, jigen accidentally gets pulled into gang and later mafia activity. i will die on the hill of the hc of him being a line cook in a mafia money laudering operation with a restaurant front. a few incidents of seeing things he shouldn't have later, and he's running errands for them.
we've seen a little backstory showing he was taught to shoot as well as he does. its was never an arena he thought he'd end up in. he wasn't raised a gunslinger, he was made one. there's of course a natural talent there for sure, but the assassination jobs got big paycheques in so he worked hard to be the best and always get picked for these jobs.
his family, or what remained of it i haven't quite decided how they dwindled away so suddenly were not supportive of his endeavours. they didn't want this kind of dirty money and ened up refusing to take it and threatening to cut ties with him.
but he was in too deep and as much as he refused to admit to himself, he liked this way of living - the danger and uncertainty. its not typical but it was the most consistency he ever had (before lupin et al ofc)
and so he's been estranged from what little family he has since then.
he doesn't speak much about his past. deep down he knows he probably made a lot of bad choices but again he likes this way of life. he thinks if the gang knew to what extent he abandoned his family and friends back home, they wouldn't see him in the same light and look down upon him. whether they would or not, who knows, he just won't open up.
he didn't simply stumble across lupin. they were known to each other before and weren't particularly on the same page. lupin knew him as an A+ assassin and ex mobster but saw him as sleazy and without morals. of course this all changed after they met.
so essentially lupin only initiates new gang members who he had a bit of conflict with at first. at least he's consistent.
while he doesn't have a lot of self confidence, he's quite narcissistic sometimes thinking he'd be better suited to certain parts of jobs or thinking his skills could be put to better use elsewhere.
but he really doesn't want to end up a lone ranger again.
it wasn't good for him, sent him spiralling down a path of greater and greater violence with less regard for his own or others lives with each day.
so he stays and puts his all even in the most confusing plans the gang creates.
he has a seriously guilty conscience. jigen constantly overthinks that he has said or done something wrong. that bad things happen to the gang because of his actions. makes it hard for him to sleep and he's got into the habit of what others would consider quite heavy drinking to knock him out for bed.
he has a knack for engineering and mechanics. of course he will spend all day taking a part, cleaning, and fixing a gun but other things too. the car has broken down? jigen will fix it. electrical supplies need to be set up in a new hideout? jigen. load bearing structures need to be manoevered for a break in? jigen again.
he's very fussy again about the brand of cigarettes he smokes. this can be annoying because variety varies from place to place and the gang can be anywhere in the world. he always keeps an insane amount spare and as many on his person as possible.

Could I request HCs for the Lupin Gang (I didn’t see a character limit in rules but if it’s only one character at a time then Goemon) With a reader who often shows affection by just giving them random trinkets they find. Not valuable stuff just like Cool rocks, sea glass, this key chain that made them think of you, etc. just crow brain affection.
: ̗̀➛ Omg, anon, this is literally so cute!! I hope I did right by such an adorable request!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
𓆩♡𓆪 Arsène Lupin III 𓆩♡𓆪
Lupin would be nothing short of enthralled by the fact that you gift him just the most random of bits and bobbles.
He keeps all of it, no matter what it is. He'll have a specific spot in his luggage whenever he travels to store them, or keep them in a little trinket box he keeps in the glove compartment of the fiat.
Lupin likes to keep your most recent gift as like a lucky charm in his jacket whenever he goes on a heist. If he's in a tight pinch during a heist, he'll worry it in his jacket as if it were a stress reliever. He just wants a little piece of you with him, a reminder of that he has to come back safe and in one piece :)
If you get him keychains, he will use all of them. At once. Like, you can hear him coming from a mile away at one point because he'll have so many charms on his keys.
I mentioned a trinket box in an earlier bullet, so I like to think Lupin would steal a really nice jeweled box to keep them in. Such precious things deserve an equally precious safe place!
If he loses/drops one of your gifts, he will do ANYTHING to get it back. Is pops on his tail? Tough shit, he's popping a U-Turn mod chase to go find the rock he dropped. In the middle of a shoot out with some villain? They can wait, because the sea glass you gave him earlier that day isn't in his coat pocket and that is way more pressing.
𓆩♡𓆪 Daisuke Jigen 𓆩♡𓆪
Jigen would initially be a little confused, like, why are you handing him this rock? But he would eventually understand, finding it cute.
Mentally, he compares you to a crow that likes to bring him shiny things. This thought never fails to bring a smile to his face.
He admittedly doesn't keep everything you give him, he's someone who prefers to travel light because of his line of work, but he'll keep a handful of trinkets you get him. If Lupin points out the cutesy charm handing from his phone or keys, he is swiftly silenced by a kick to the shin.
Jigen is pretty handy with a thread and needle after years of stitching himself and the others after some nasty injuries, so he absolutely sews a little pocket to the inside of his jacket to store your gifts.
When you give him these gifts, his appreciation is subtle. No big reaction, but more of a faint blush rising to his cheeks and a soft muttering of gratitude before tucking it away.
When he misses you, he'll absentmindedly fiddle with the gift he has on him at the time.
𓆩♡𓆪 Goemon Ishikawa XIII 𓆩♡𓆪
Like Jigen, I feel like Goemon would be a little confused but once you clarify its a gift, he'll act like you just gifted him the sun. Super serious with his face completely red. He'll accept it in a sort of awkward formal manner, but the whole ordeal is cute.
Goemon tries his best to keep all of your gifts, but since the man travels with his sword and nary another thing, he'll lose some gifts. The second he realizes he has though, he is nothing short of DEVISTATED.
He likes to have your gifts in his hands while he is meditating, finding that they bring him peace of mind.
Goemon gets really defensive of them, like if Lupin even thinks about touching any of the things you've gifted him, he's halfway through drawing Zantetsuken
I like to think that he would start mimicking your love language. Considering that he is out in the middle of buttfuck nowhere in the mountains whenever he isn't getting Lupin out of whatever mess he is in, he'll start taking notice of cool rocks he would find and pocket them, planning to give them to you when he sees you next.
𓆩♡𓆪 Fujiko Mine 𓆩♡𓆪
Look, this woman has been gifted the finest that the world has to offer, only to turn her head and scoff. But the second you roll up like, "Hey, I found this piece of Sea Glass, and the color reminds me of your eyes.", she would be absolutely and utterly infatuated.
She keeps EVERYTHING and she will be DAMNED if she loses a single on. Fujiko puts them in a carrying case that she keeps on her at almost all times of the day, unless she is going somewhere she might lose it.
She could be surrounded by suitors offering her diamonds and gold, but her eyes will be locked on you and the funky little rock in your hand.
Fujiko thinks it is just the cutest and loves everything you give her. When she's in a sour mood, she'll take out her case of your gifts and just look through them, thinking about you and smiling to herself.
On several occasions, Fujiko has saved the trinket box over Lupin or the others. She's a woman with priorities, how could you blame her?
She would want to get you something in return though, so something like a bag that you can wear while you walk on the beach looking for sea glass and shells, or through the woods looking for fun rocks or stray feathers.

Hi!... can I request hcs for lupin and the gang falling in love with a cop reader or something like that 🙏 ( if you can't do it or don't want to that's okay! sorry for bothering)
Oh shit, I didn't see this
Lupin III × Cop!Reader
Headcanons
(Adding a cut cause GOD DAMN THIS IS A LONG ONE)
♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡
General (Lupin, Jigen, Goemon, and Fujiko)
Imagine the whole god damn gang falling in love with you cause you're doing your damn job.
Pull them over for speeding and they all just look at you with the hunch that the universe sent the hottest cop in the city to catch them for speeding
Once they are caught as a group of criminals though, they SCATTER.
I can guarentee they were all talking about you when they got to the hotel.
♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡
Lupin
You were just writing up a parking ticket... for his car...
He wanted to yell, but at the same time, was he? He just watched you do it.
You were barely doin' squat aside from writing a ticket and he already had his mind in the gutter (but that's normal Lupin behavior)
He does walk up to you before you could walk away, and despite YOU JUST WROTE HIM A PARKING TICKET, he asked you out to dinner...
If you say no, he just goes back to the hotel and sulks cause he lost the person of his dreams he didn't even know about... and he has a parking ticket.
If you say yes, he takes you to the BEST restaurant in the city and tells you to order whatever you'd like. He's gonna spoil you SO MUCH.
Don't even TRY to order something relatively cheap or else he's just gonna pick for you, after all, it's hard work being a cop that is also a good person, he says you deserve a night out.
He is such a gentleman the entire time, he makes a few flirty jokes, and a couple risqué remarks here and there.
He also orders desert for the both of you to share if there is a desert you are able to eat. He will feed you a bite then take a bite himself
He's REALLY laying it on thick for you... which, originally, this was all to ask if he REALLY had to pay the parking ticket, but then again, he was starting to grow feelings for you.
After dinner, he takes you to a nice hotel and tries to push the night a little further, but you tell him you've got work in the morning and he just pouts
But then, you turn around and give him your phone number... chances are, he's not gonna call again cause by tomorrow, Jigen is probably calling him a nutcase for going on a date with a cop when THEY'RE ALL CRIMINALS... then again... maybe he'll call?
♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡
Jigen
While Jigen isn't much of a fan of cops, while he was undercover as a cop, he met you.
You were one of those cops who'd go out of their way to make someone's day a bit better. Like the ones who are called for a noise complaint on children playing and drawing with chalk on the sidewalk in the middle of the day and they play with them because screw those guys.
In this case, you were called because some kids had put up a lemonade stand. You dragged Jigen along with you cause you thought he was a coworker.
The car ride is awkward for Jigen, cause if he blows his cover in a cop car, THAT would be embarrassing.
Once you guys get there, these kids are no older than 7 or 8, in other words, why the hell would a grown adult want to rain on some child's day and WHY did the station think you of all people would shut it down?
You walk up to the stand, the kids are already a bit nervous cause not all cops are good cops.
You lean down, look at the price, and say "2 cups of lemonade please" then turn to Jigen with a smirk and ask "what about you, buddy?"
Jigen passes at first, but a while later, he changes his mind... thankfully, you bought 2, you didn't even know he'd do that, but something inside of you told you that he would do something like that.
Later, the two of you are chilling in the park during your lunch break, Jigen is SEVERELY laye for a heist, but he kinda liked hanging out with you that day... even though he was on edge the entire time.
"You know I'm single, right?" You say to him misinterpreting his anxiety as a small crush.
He just gets a but red in the face and looks away, but at the same time... you don't seem all that bad. A date sounds ok... so the two of you go on a date the next day. It's a very simple date. Just a talk at the cafe, a trip to the movies, and a stroll in the park at sunset.
You invite him to stay the night, but Jigen knows he has to leave the country tomorrow with the rest of the gang, so he gives you his phone number and tells you "maybe another day, but not tonight."
♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡
Goemon
He didn't realize you were a cop at first cause he first met you on your day off.
He was at a grocery store, buying stuff for his own dinner sing Lupin, Jigen, and Fujiko were going out to eat at a place he didn't really like.
Just as he was checking out, that was a bad time to realize he had forgot his money at the hotel. He almost considered just stealing it, when your arm reaches past him as you use your debit card to pay for his groceries.
He looks at you as though you are crazy, but his expression softens and he thanks you... he sort of expected you to tell him something like "you owe me" but you didn't... And it messed with him for half the day.
He ran into you again, this time he had money on him and he offered to take you somewhere nice. After all, his groceries weren't cheap.
You were flattered that he was willing to take you somewhere, but you could practically hear his stomach growling.
"You know, you can save money and just invite me over to your place for dinner" you tell him, assuming he didn't really have much money... but then he took you to the nice hotel he's staying at
You help him cook and before you know it, the two of you are enjoying a candle lit dinner.
You would've stayed the night if you could, but between Goemon telling you that his friends would be back soon and that you telling him that you have work in the morning, you just couldn't stay
Before you left he asked where you work, totally not because he wanted to check in on you to see if you wanted to do something after work because he feels as though he hasn't properly returned the favor, when you told him you were a cop, he got a bit tense, but you assured him that your not the same kind that's going out of their way to make someone's day worse.
While that was assuring, now he wasn't sure if it was gonna work out between the two of you... but something about you... he can't stop thinking about you. He knows you may very well turn him in if you find out he's a criminal... but I guess that's half the thrill, the other half being trying to repay you for your selfless act.

Fujiko
Her ride was pulled over and charged with a dui. Without a ride and the fact that the hotel she's staying at is on the other side of the city, she was desperate and asked you to take her back to the hotel after dropping the drunk taxi driver off at the police station.
Of course you weren't going to leave a beautiful woman in high heels and an outfit like her's to walk to the other side of the city at this hour, so you agreed.
Ater dropping off the Taxi driver, the two of you made casual conversation... which evolved into Fujiko asking if you're dating anyone, which causes your face to feel like it's burning.
You knew where this was going, and you were still on the clock, so was it really right to flirt with the woman your helping? Probably not... however, she did flirt first, and her words are like that of a siren's song, plucking at your heart, finding what you desire and use it against you as a lure.
Eventually you cave and give her your number and tell her to text whenever you feel like talking again.
Af course, Fujiko had other things in mind. Because whenever she'd text you, it was always something flirty and provocative. Some instances make you regret opening your inbox in public.
Eventually, the two of you do start going out to have fancy dinners and romantic evenings, and you've grown used to it... but all good things come to an end as she informs you she's "moving" out of the country.
The relationship keeps going on as a long distant one of course, but you always look forward to when she'd visit your city again...

Author's Note
I feel as though I suck at romantic writing, that's always one thing I had trouble doing in my high school creative writing class... then again, I've aged, hopefully my writing skills also aged???

That is one of my favorite HCs for Looker tbh: The justice-loving Interpol Detective that eats the crimes has ancestry in Interpol's most wanted-- The great thief that got away and was never brought down by Interpol itself.
It was such a shameful failure that Interpol completely "forgot" Lady Lyken existed. Thus, a loooong time later, her descendant Looker came into his own and became one of Interpol's most prized agents, and everyone is none the wiser.
Even without Looker's amnesia or foggy memory of his pre-faller life that he may or may not recall, he would have never known about his bloodline. Lyken wiped her identity off the face of the Earth. By all purposes, she was dead, and classified as such by a very bitter Interpol.
She lives through Looker however.
Looker might be almost cartoonishly tied to justice, but he's got a thievish upbringing. My headcanon real name for him "Robert" is a pun on the Robusta coffee tree AND... Robber. He used to pickpocket/steal when he was younger until he learned how much it broke his mother's heart, albeit everything he stole was to feed himself and his poor mother. This ability to sneak off with items and disappear into a crowd is still useful for him however. Along with that, his ability to perfectly disguise himself is taking a page straight out of Lupin III (... or Zenigata, him too)
"But Vergo, Looker is so dumb in the games I played!!" off screen he's awesome Uncle Nintendo told me
