Shadowiceflower Adventures
Otherwise known as "Macaque's Extended Bachelor Party" or "What Happened While Wukong and Yue Were Away"
A Brief Summary: For once, Macaque doesn't just sit and wait for Wukong to come back home. Instead, he goes out with Shanzha and RinRin to make some memories and maybe leave a mark on the world.
Macaque, Shanzha, and RinRin last about one (1) week without Wukong and Yue before they break down and cry. They just miss them so much.
After a night of getting completely hammered together, RinRin gets the bright idea of going on an adventure - just the three of them. Macaque is reluctant to leave FFM but eventually agrees.
The three start small: They visit the Demon Bull Family first.
Everything is pretty chill until Red Son starts to lose control of his Samahdi Fire. Shanzha manages to ease the flames with her ice powers and buy Macaque and RinRin some time as they search for a specific flower known to help manage and repress demon powers.
Red Son is (temporarily) saved though the event makes PIF and DBK consider asking for celestial help since their son's abilities mostly come from the celestial side of the family.
The trio move on. They stop by a Demon Night Market so they can buy rare wares and trinkets for Yue and themselves.
RinRin meets an unpleasant Owl yaoguai and decides to steal their lantern so she can gift it to Macaque. This sets off a chain of events that gets the trio into trouble. They somehow get out of the ordeal intact and alive. Shanzha is upset at RinRin's riskiness but Macaque is moved by the gift.
From there, the trio decides to visit Macaque's homeland. The lands were ruined and ransacked and were a sad sight to see.
Macaque, Shanzha, and RinRin stay in the Macaque Spirit Clan's castle overnight and discover that it's haunted. Or, more like, RinRin is painfully aware that it's haunted while Macaque (part of the bloodline) and Shanzha (a shrine maiden) are oblivious until RinRin decides to deal with the ghosts.
Instead of putting them to rest, Macaque uses his new lantern to give the ghosts shadow forms. They now guard the lands, keeping outsiders out. They also acknowledge him as the current Macaque Spirit King.
Since the Spirit Macaque Clan territory is located between FFM and LoES, they use the land to gather all of the FFM soldiers and generals willing to throw down with some snow monkeys for sending a child bride.
Macaque, RinRin, and Shanzha enter the territory first to gather information and stir up some shit. RinRin and Shanzha give Macaque a makeover and sit back and laugh as LoES falls over themselves to impress and court Macaque.
Macaque gets the ego boost of his life. While he really doesn't have to do anything, he takes the initiative to learn from RinRin how to flirt and seduce. He also learns from Shanzha all the underhanded tricks that the residents of LoES might pull on him. He flourishes during his time there.
Though, in their information-gathering, the trio slowly realizes that there's a conspiracy afoot. They dig a bit too deep and are imprisoned by a clan leader who isn't as moved by Macaque's looks (unfortunately).
Enter: Nezha, who had been scouring everywhere to find the three so he could bring them up to Heaven. He breaks them out of jail and ends up getting tangled as the monkeys continue to unravel a concerning thread of thralls and followers of a Bone Demon.
Nezha was insistent that they come with him at first but then he saw the state of LoES firsthand and witnessed children's lives being threatened daily.
LoES child: "There's a God that Protects Children?"
Nezha: (devastated at their disbelief)
Nezha was onboard with helping after that. He was the one who would evacuate the children whenever the scheming trio upended a clan and dethroned its thralled leaders. Eventually, he was the one who led the charge against the Zodiac Monkey Clan when civil war broke out.
There's this one moment when Macaque enters the compound and finds the room Yue used to live in with Shanzha and RinRin. It was so small and bare and it broke his heart seeing it.
LBD's influence over the clan made it more hellish than it already was. Many of the clan members were all too happy to back Shanzha as the new heir and leader. Anything to escape LBD and Yishan's rule.
Shanzha and Yishan (the Thrall) engage in a one-on-one inheritance battle. Shanzha nearly takes his arm off with her arrows. Yishan nearly takes an eye out but scars her instead. The fight ends up as a draw because of Erlang Shen's entrance, forcing Yishan and LBD to flee.
Erlang Shen takes an exhausted Nezha and the Scheming Trio up to Heaven where they are reunited with Yue and Wukong.

Missing Flowers ( @semisolidmind Fanfic)
Tumblr media
I wrote this because I was inspired by another bit of work. This one is sweet ans short and Mac centric. Inspired by this ask! Twice as Bad Au make brain go brrrr
Tw for some violence mentions and some allusions to intimate behaviour (it is not detailed at all - in fact you may miss it entirely - but it is alluded to thats why I mention this)
As the sweet scents of spring created on the wind, carrying blossoms and the soft buzzing bodies of bumblebees, Peaches felt a deep pang of loss. Outside in the spring air, walking along the edge of the mountains with the small attendants she was given, she looked out beyond the sparkling sea. Beyond the mountains and the sky and all that lay between. She imagined she was looking homeward. To her village.
She missed her village, missed her people who she knew as family and as friends. She missed the smell of the earth, the taste of the rain on her tongue and how the sun angled itself through her shuttered windows to cast the dust motes in startling detail as they passed through the beams. It had been over a decade now since her marriage of ‘demonic fashion’ to the rulers of Flower Fruit Mountain. The ache never would go away- it would linger like a hole in her smile, a tooth lost and never replaced.
However it wasn’t her village today that was making her homesick.
Peaches had a little patch of earth, maybe an acre large that she had dedicated to the propagation of flowers and fruits, vegetables and all manner of growing things. It had taken years of careful selection, of collecting seeds from far and wide, of dedicated research and late nights in the snow and the ice and the building of her greenhouse to gather the collection she had had.
Peaches had turned the soil, mixing it with her grass clippings, ash from the fire place, and the compost to enrich it. It had been years of careful and quiet work to build her collection of plants. The glass bits for her greenhouse had costed her years and years of hard work. She had been unable to have it as large as she wanted but it was enough. Within the wooden little wall sat her favorite flowers, the precious few she had bargained and hunted for, the seeds and clippings, were all here safe within the wooden walls.
All her work over the past few years gone in a flash of fire and a slash of violence. What had happened to her little home? Was the house standing? Rotting in its neglect of the years. Did someone take over her home if it was still standing?
The stairs would need replacing. The second one had been creaking before her kidnapping. The wood had been softening and she had her eyes on a tree just beyond her garden. She had planned to cut it free and carve a new replacement. What of her animals? She had had a small herd of goats, little bleating creatures of brown and white.
The goats had been her source of fresh milk, meat and weed control. Each had been given a name. Each had been loved.
Had they been able to get away?
Had they been burned in the fire?
Peaches knew that the flowers and fruits she had were gone. Those couldn’t have escaped the fire - or the human retribution that would follow from any survivors.
Would Wukong have left survivors ? The Sage had come home many a times from such violence. He had woken her with cold hands grasping and seeking her out. He buried them in her hair or twined them in her fingers. Wukong would pull her to him and away from her own makeshift nest within their bed. In those early days he had not learned that the smell of fire and blood would upset her.
Those nights his blood had been on fire from conquest and he wanted only to enjoy the comfort of one of his dearest prizes. Her. Wukong would touch and whisper love into her ears as he fell asleep, a peace only she could bring in the aftermath of those bloodbaths. Sometimes she would wake in the morning to find blood smeared along her cheeks and in her hair.
It had been one of the times Macaque had found her hyperventilating after such a morning covered in blood that wasn’t hers, confused to where it could be from, and the memories of the night when the drunk had invaded her home.
And her world had changed. She had been pulled to his arms, her own chest pressing to his. Instructed to follow his breathing, to listen to the air whoosh from his body. To hold. Then to fill again like the bellows of a blacksmiths forge. And then to deflate.
When her breathing did not sound like the frantic flapping of a broken birds wing, thats when Macaque had asked her what happened. What had triggered her memories. Peaches asked how he knew- and her second husband rubbed a thumb beneath her eyes and caught a tear.
“You were screaming. Telling me to stop burning the village.” The words sounded sad. Not remorseful. Never remorseful for the actions that led here here. That brought her to residency in the mountain. The sadness was instead about the scars left behind, the invisible wounds that their actions had created.
After that, Wukong never came to bed smelling of blood or fresh from a conquest.
Wukong would never leave survivors of the village. Not after what he thought was a slight to her, to his perception of what was his. An extension of his own self importance. No. That seemed wrong even as Peaches thought it. Maybe she was an extension of his grandeur. But she wasn’t just a prize to be turned and looked at. Somehow, in some way, he had fallen in love with her.
Love for Wukong- for Macaque- was not like human love. Just as two peach trees could produce different fruits. Peaches knew that love between people was more of a communication, a build up to a relationship. At least in the best situations. Demons however … it was more draconic in a sense. To claim and catch, to conquer before another could take the prize between its claws and keep for themselves. Like dogs fighting over scraps, love was something to catch and hoard and keep.
Maybe it wasn’t so different from humans. Stories and mythologies had been woven of love like this. Men had gone to war and killed thousands of others in the name of one paramour, one love.
Wukong had done that. He had taken a conceived obstacle and removed it. He had snatched her as a wolf would steal a lamb in the cold of winter, taking her back to the mountain. Devouring her freedom to secure his happiness. When his brother came to see, to wonder at why their paramour was here. It hadn’t taken much convincing. It was as natural as breathing to take in their world.
Peaches attendants, those young ladies, waited patiently. Peaches stared out across the world and wished she had the eyes of eagles to stare and devour the miles so she could see for herself.
Was her garden truly gone? Had anything wild had been left behind ?
Had the apple trees gone wild? Were green granny smiths now growing wild among the pink ladys and dorsett goldens? Were the nectarines falling from the trees to rot beautifully in a horrid flash of sweet sick decay? Did the bees still pollinate whatever roses and hydrangeas survived ?
Had the fire consumed everything?
She missed her garden. Her plants. She missed her home.
She had been so lost in thought that she didn’t notice how her Ladies in waiting called out- she didn’t notice the shadow length beneath her feet. Until suddenly the ground was not ground at all but a gaping black hole- and she fell screaming.
Right into a warm embrace and soft fur that smelled like orange blossoms and plum wine. Laughter bubbled out of Macaque bare chest. “I would think the Queen would be more aware of her surroundings by now.”
Peaches pulled away enough to hook her husband with a scowl. It was half hearted as the demonic monkey dipped downward and pressed his lips to the side of her face in soft peppered kisses. Peaches laughed at the affection, able to ease into the comfort that the six eared macaque had grown between them. The chestnut trees above them rattled like ladies whispering as casting the sunlight like dice over a game.
“Some brutes don’t walk - some slink in shadows.” Peaches teased back. She lifted a hand up and along Macaques face. Her fingers touched his ears- all six on display today instead of being glamoured and hidden. The large clawed hand tightened beneath her as she brushed her hands over them. Macaque leaned into her touch, pressing his face, and her hand, into hers.
“Slink?” The monkey teased. They were beneath a cluster of chestnut and beech trees. A whole new position upon the mountain - possibly leagues across the great kingdom.
“Slink?” Macaque nipped her ear and she yelped in surprise- cheeky like. “I do not slink.”
And then the stomach flip as the magic pulled them in. The very shadows that seemed to seep and flow through macaques black fur, the ebbing of ocean currents between the jetties of his being. The cold kissed her nose, the sun flashed. Peaches blinked as the orientation of the sky reasserted itself. They were closer to Water Curtain cave now. The mosses and lichens that grew in the soft moisture were tell tale signs.
“I merely use what I have to my advantage.”The Six Eared Macaque pulled his wife into himself as he began to walk. In her decade here she had begun to see the mountain like a second skin. Each turn of stone was becoming like a new crease in her skin. Here she understood that, even though the forest was near the palace, it was no where she had treaded recently.
Her husband was taking her somewhere. But where ?
“You left my ladies in distress.” Peaches asked. The steps against the forest floor were soothing. Would she allow herself to be soothed ? It was easier for Peaches to forget the scars that marred her when it was Macaque. With Wukong …
It would always be a sore spot. Always be cut that had healed too thin and the scar left behind would ache in the cold.
“I left them with a note that said I was taking my wife for a moment.”
How different the world would be if they had just asked her to come with them. Had the two brothers even floated the idea between each other? Thought to show her the beautiful mountain and let her fall into it and in love with it ? Peaches knew she would have come. The beauty here was unmatched - the fruits and flowers and plants and growing things would have stolen her away faster then a demons courting could ever achieve. If her boys had only asked her… only shown her….
“How are you Peaches ?” Macaques voice was soft.
“I am… far away.” She decided to be honest.
“The memories again?” Soft, gentle. Her sweet boy was still there. Still within this … sorrow. Peaches had found the little monkey bleeding among her hydrangeas and honeysuckle. The white and purple petals were turned crimson and crushed beneath the tiny body. Of course he had been a wild thing, a furious flash of teeth and claws. Any animal would be. So when the weak little monkey bit into her hand she hadn’t flinched. Instead she had waited, taking a blanket to scoop the poor creature up and into her arms- and to contain those claws. The bite was foolish- what she did was foolish- but… she was a foolish women.
The bite was deep, the pain a lance in her mind. Those teeth were large enough, sabers in gums - knives of nature that cut into the soft pad of her flesh. He didn’t let go, he didn’t release her hand until the blood on his flank was cleaned. Until the gash in his side had been sewed shut. He was too weak to worry her flesh into ruin. To take his pain and tear her apart. He could have. Though small, though at a disadvantage, the little was gifted with weapons where Peaches had been gifted none. She was soft handed, soft as a magnolia flower. No claws no teeth no strength.
Yet he did not tear her apart. The tiny monkey was left alone after he was patched up. A bowl of water, a small basket of peeled mandarins. And the window- left open to let in the wet jungle air. Her kindness had cost her her hand- the day after it was purple and swollen. It was hard to work in the soil- to work in the garden and her little farm. She had carrots to pull, goats to milk, and trees to prune. By the end of the day she could barely close the hand and it had grown yellow on top of the purple. Like a plum trampled enough to ruin the flesh but not enough to break it open.
The next morning however, when she unwrapped to tend the wound and let it breath… she found the wrappings clean. The swelling was gone. The punctures were still there. But…. They had healed over.
She had been a fool. Peaches had thought it was from her tending that the wound had healed up. She had been a fool. Who would have known that her foolish heart would lead to this future?
“Its not just the memories- its a memory.” They had stopped walking now.
“Which one?” The leaves rustled above them. The air smelled of water and earth and stone. It was … calming. So the memory coming forward now wasn’t cast in sorrow. But in calm.
“Of you.” She reached up and pressed a finger to the very tip of his nose. “Of the garden. When we first met.”
Macaque grimaced.
“Not my best introduction...” He looked down at her hand. The scar was still there, silver moons along her skin.
“Are you embarrassed?”Peaches teased. Macaque paused. He set her down onto her feet, kneeling. His hands caught her wrist- the one he had scared all those years ago- and brought it to his face.
“Truly I am. I mauled your hand.”He kissed it, rubbed a claw over the scars, worried at it with his lips and his tender forehead brushes.
“You were in pain. And you healed it.” Peaches pulled him up. Off his knees. In these moments, these tender touches, was the sweetness that had grown between them. There was the flash of that little monkey she had saved. Who had slowly begun to bring her gifts and treasures. His first gift had never been showed. Macaque had never been talked about- as it had required secrecy.
“Lao Tzi had chased me out.” The simian smiled into her face, teeth flashing like moonlight. “Heaven was in an uproar over my thievery. But … they thought I was Wukong.”
“Mac!” She beat on his shoulder in play. Roaring laughter was rewarded to her as the trickier of the two loomed over and draped his arms over her front, pressing her back to his chest.
“I couldn’t let them know it was me!” His teeth were in her hair, soft croons and gentle nips being pressed to her skin. “I was in a bit of a hurry.”
Her cheeky six eared husband then began to press her and tease her in a very flirtatious fashion that turned Peaches skin flushed and burning. It was long moments and minutes after the teasing and the stolen presses of kisses and promises for later, that Peaches decided to open her heart a bit more to him.
“I miss it all. I miss the house and the village and …. I miss the garden the most. All my plants. My animals…” Peaches rested her face in his arm, drinking in the plum wine and orange blossom smell that was so thickly wrapped in his fur.
“All the growing things… do you think they are still there ?” It was easy to think of it here, when Macaque had been kind and soft to her. When he understood what emotional wounds were still healing, still painfully sore. The rush of his heart was against her ear was nice.
“Have they gone wild and returned to the woods ? What of the roses- they are the hardest here to tend. And the magnolia trees….” A bird flitted and flew its way between the emerald leaves. A dolphin flying through a sea of emerald green.
Macaque spun her suddenly, his hand gripping hers, his tail flicking. She was pulled along, hands grasping his as they walked faster.
“Lets walk. We will go and see the orchards and you will tell me all the flowers you had and loved and never got to tend.”
“I would tell you anyway.” Peaches laughed softly. “I loved my flowers.”
The look of serious thought didn’t alleviate in the wake of her laughter.
“You will tell me in detail and what seasons they grow- and what habitats they grow in. Who the traders were that gave you the seeds and the clippings.” They rounded the corner of a stone outcropping, the path before them becoming more well trodden. The path to the orchards.
“And I want you to find a piece of the mountain- get that foolish orange orangutang of my brother to help you clear it and drain it and turn its soil rich.”
The realization was dawning on Peaches then.
“Ma-Macaque…” Was he suggesting what her heart was starting to hope?
“You get the land ready.” His fingers squeezed hers. “I will collect the seeds in my journeys. I will find the best lines and horticulturists and gather you a collection that will rival the one we foolishly took from you.”
His eyes held hers. It had the same effect that a sunrise had on a snow trapped forest. The light in them was refracted and doubled as Peaches felt her heart fill. She didn’t realize that tears were dripping until Macaque was reaching up to coo and rub them free, calling to her in comforting familial tones a monkey would use to soothe an create comfort.
“And I will be able to play within your garden and see you smile like you just did. I would bring down the lunar gardens to see you smile again… as you did when i first saw you in that garden. ”

(wanted to make a mac-centric au)
New Companion au
-everything about the ittw au, except macaque joins as a new companion and gets attached to reader cause she's kinda nice to him
-wukong is suitably spiced about it
-it's one of those "i can clearly see he's still not a good guy, why aren't you believing me, what do you mean our circumstances are basically the same" type of monologues for swk. bro doesn't understand why this guy who tried to kill them a lil while ago is all buddy-buddy with his human now
-this is kinda an excuse to have a white-furred version of mac who's less of a snarky bastard and more....nice is NOT the right word, but he wants to help. like, help reader and the monk exclusively. he doesn't really care about the other four but can play nice if he has to
-reader vouched for him after the impersonation incident, which, along with the buddha's assistance, saved him from swk's wrath. reader's argument was something along the lines of, "he's endangered, AND we just so happen to be on a quest for redemption so he'll fit right in!"
-as lonely and grateful to be alive as he was, the six-eared macaque begged to join his savior on the quest. the pilgrims could do with another powerful demon companion, couldn't they? (and just to save some grief, im gonna say they catch him before he can cannibalize any of the ffm monkeys. i ain't messing with that.)
-all the pilgrims but sun have accepted him into the group
-mac latches onto reader pretty hard. she's nice, she doesn't judge him too hard (but she still judges him, like he deserves), she helps remind him to be kind, she remembers to keep her voice down when speaking to him...he's getting gradually more and more smitten.
-of course, swk HATES this. that's his human!! this is his journey!! why does this asshole get to tag along and continue his attempts to steal both!? wukong knows six-ears is just trying to get a rise out of him, just trying to get him to attack so he can play the victim.
- macaque is only sorta trying to do that. what he wants is reader's attention. and an easy way to get it is by being hurt or upset. he clocked reader as the bleeding heart type the moment he laid ears on her, so any chance he gets; he's hurt~ monkey king's being mean to him~ he's only trying to help~

Note
is there a possibility of more wukong centric shadowpeach doodles?
It's true that it's not fair for Wukong, but I just instinctively draw Macaque first. I'll try to think a bit more about Wukong next time, but no promises. After all, Mac is my favorite ^^

Idea: Lego Monkie kid AU
(Red Son-centric & maybe spicynoodles(?))
'Lost fire'
I would really like to read a fic, where Red Son died as a child, because of the samadhi fire.
Ok, before you go listen-
Red Son died as a child because of the enourmous power of his samadhi fire. Everyone just didn't complete the ritual on time, and during one of his fire outbursts he hurt himself fatally.
The power was just too strong for such a young demon and it finished him.
His parents his parents had to cope up with their child's death and were devastated by it.
Later, they decided they would never have children again to prevent such a situation like Red Son from happening again.
BUT-
We know that Lady Bone Demon is able to revive people and demons to life. For instance Macaque.
And she needs samadhi fire to make her great plan come true.
She'd bring Red Son back to life, but unfortunately the power in hands of the little demon is still unstable for his age.
So, Lady Bone Demon would instruct her servant to partially seal the demon powers until he grows up, and his body could handle the power under control.
The demon would be sealed and hidden (somwhere) from the rest of the world to prevent anyone from interfering with her plans.
All of this was supposed to last until he reached the right age, then she planned to use him as a weapon.
But as it is known the child can't rise himself, right?
That's where Macaque comes.
As the LBD revived also Macaque. She decided to use him as some sort of babysitter for the Red Boy, instead of giving the key.
Because who elese she could choose to take care of that little demon? Major??
[Let's be honest we all know that nobody should leave kids with that guy- Just look at this freak-]
Anyway-
After comming back to life Macaque's job is to take care of the little demon child.
He is isolated from the rest of society along with a small demon and under the control of the major.
The monkey doesn't have much of a choice or even any chances of leaving, since major here is strong and both him and LBD are watching over him.
LBD promises to freed him after Macaque will rised the bull demon until he'll be ready to fullfill his 'mission'.
The shadow monkey and demon-child are practycally 'prisioners' and since noone would look for people who are supposed to be death, Macaque looses his hope of escaping.
While every attempt to escape results in a severe punishment.
So the warrior finds himself in his new role, as a guardian.
At first, the demon is not pleased with his situation in any way, and the thought of taking care of the red demon downright annoys him.
But over time, he gets used to it and tolerates the little child until eventually his heart softens and he begins to raise him as his own.
The monkie does the best what he can do.
Beside obvious diuties, like watching over him and using the ice powers (which LBD gave him for such occasions) to extinguish his sudden uncontrollable bursts of samadhi fire..
Macaque also teaches him.. how to speak, read, control and peace, plays with him or organizes a shadow puppet show for him and ect.
He also gets close to the kid and becomes his parent fugire.
The Red Boy grows up. He's energetic full of life and curious kid, who wants to see more of the word. To finally find out who he is. He wants to see people and everything. (No suprise since he was isolated from society)
But the Bull demon it also curious about his past and family. He knows that the monkie isn't his relative and he knows that he used to have parents.
The Red possesses some memories as if through a haze. They are small details that motivate him.
With each passing day Red Son gets more control ower his samadhi fire, which start to worry the black monkie.
Macaque figured LBD's plan long ago and he knows that as soon as Red will finally fully control his powers, it will not only mean death for the demon, but also for the rest of the world.
It worries him.
He doesn't want to loose Red kid.
He doesn't want world to end.
He's devastated.
But then suddenly he finds himself in a situation where the major has to leave (because DBK discovered the box in which LBD was imprisoned, and he has to ensure that she is freed).
(Btw in this universe, DBK was released from above in a different way. MK accidentally freed him by moving the staff of Sun Wukong.)
Macaque immediately takes the opportunity when the major is gone go free Red Son...like..
----
"Hey Red." The black monkey suddenly started, while not taking his eyes form the sea. "Remember when you told me, yo wanted to get off of this island?"
The fire demon immediately looked at the Macaque with excitement, but mostly with confusion.
Since he had know Mr Macaque telling him how his attempts to escape were futile or that he should let it go.
But the demon never truly stopped hopping that they both would someday go and he could finally see more.
"Well, today's the day." The older demon said and the fire demon almost couldn't belive his ears.
Before Red could even ask the monkie rapidly went to him and started using his magic on him and to exact it was glamour.
"Red, you need listen to me carefully, because there's no other chance-" Mr Macaque started, as he concealed the scar on his cheek. "I don't know when the other will come back. But this is really important, so remmber-"
"But you're comming with me-" The younger demon didn't ask, because it was a fact.
Macaque had to go with him. He couldn't stay here, right?
"You can't trust anybody and don't tell them anything." Instead of answering the man continued his speach. "Try to use your fire as little as possible and at all cost do not use samadhi fire. Nobody can put it down and it's very dangerous." The monkie then changed the colour of his hair from red to black. "I'll try to I maintain the camouflage for as long as I can, but if it disappears, you must cover your hair and not let yourself be recognized."
"But, Mr Macaque-"
"Red." The demon interrupted seriously. "It's very imortant."
At his words Red went silent.
"You need to find Sun Wukong, the Monkie King." The black monkie said seriously. "Tell him that Lady Bone Demon is back. That she's after you and the can't get to you and.." The demon paused for a second. "And then surely everything will be alright.." Then the black monkie smiled softly at him.
Red knew that something was wrong and he was trying to cheer him up.
"If you see the Watcher run as fast as possible.." He put a cap on his head." If he catches you, you have to free yourself at all costs, you can even use samadhi fire."
Suddenly a portal opened behind him.
"Remember find Sun Wukong." The the demon pushed Red to the portal despite his protest.
The fire demon was only able to see a light smile of his paret figure face as the portal slowly closed.
----
Basicly Macaque doesn't have much of a choice, but letting Red go. The monkie can't escape the island, because of the deal with the LBD. He's sealed in there.
Macaque also doesn't trust Wukong, but he doesn't see any better option. The shadow demon knows that the monkie king is one of the strongest and could possibly defeat her or just buy some time.
So in that way Red finds himself in complete difftent place.
Dazed, lost, scared, and bewildered in the Megapolis.
He completely doesn't know how behave it that weird place, where he is alone and see things that he hadn't seen before.
He's also scared about Macaque.
So he tries to find This Sun Wukong-
He starts asks random people about him, but ineffectively. People on the street ignore him and consider him a bit of an oddball.
In the meantime he accidentally runs into MK and they end up somehow together.
They talk a little and MK shows him around a little. Red is obviouly fascinated even by the simplest thing, which makes Mk think he's kinda cute.
Then have meal at Pigsy noodles. (There Red Son eat the best meal ever-)
Their talk suddenly goes towards the monkie king and here's the part where everything becomes the mess.
- Major stars chasing after them
- Everyone are looking for Sun Wukong
- Red doesn't know what he can tell and not-
- Wukongs finds out that Macaque is alive-
- Troubles, problems, and action.
- They have a dinner at Demon Bull Family house!!! But neither Red Son knows that that's his parents and They don't know that that's their son becuase of the disguise!!!!
- fighting Macaque! LBD took control over him
- LBD still tries to catch Red.. and she kinda is able to..
- Red is finally reviled to be the 'death' Red Son-
- ...In the end we finally get family reunion..! ;)
[Yes, here I was too lazy to write ⬆️]
OK.
I've written a bit, but hopefully someone will like this idea. I guess..
Honestly I mainly want to see pain of the greaving parents and family reunion, which would be full of love...
I HOPE SOMEONE LIKES THIS!
What do you think? Please tell me.

Shadowheart AU
If not obvious this is a Shadowpeach centric AU. It’s mainly a comedy but the way I’m gonna lay this out is gonna make it feel like an angst AU at first purely because it makes the punchline funnier that way.
Anyways, so;
Macaque just straight up doesn’t speak for the first half of this AU, aka, all of the canon show thus far. He covers his mouth with his scarf, and does mumble sometimes, but it’s too quiet for anyone to hear.
Wukong, knowing that the Macaque that he knew would absolutely never shut up, is under the impression that this one is an imposter, aka someone pretending to be his dead friend. Macaque can’t tell him that this is not the case, as he refuses to speak.
Macaque does have a method of communication though. He uses note cards.
Wukong, in episode 9: there's no way that's the real Macaque, the Macaque I know would've NOT shut up while doing all this awful stuff Macaque: (pauses in the middle of being about to throw an attack, digs through his pockets, pulls out a piece of paper and yeets it at Wukong's face) Wukong: gAH- Wukong, peeling off the paper and looking at it: .... -(The paper says "You're a dumbass")- Wukong: ....did you fucking have this prewritten??? -(another piece of paper smacks Wukong in the face- this one having ‘YES’ written on it)-
Macaque has a heart shaped clip on his scarf, Wukong has a heart shaped clip in his hair. (Pictures of the designs will be at the bottom of this post)
Macaque’s clip turns blue when Lady Bone Demon partially possesses him, and when he’s freed by the Samadhi fire it turns grey and breaks in half, causing his scarf to come loose from around his shoulders, so he has to cling to it to prevent it from falling.
Wukong's clip shatters when he's possessed. His hair, normally kept in a braid in this AU, also ends up loose. (He continues to wear it mostly loose afterwards). When he's freed, Macaque rebraids that tiny bit and takes out one half of his heart clip thingy, and uses it in replacement of the one Wukong lost. The half a heart in Wukong's hair turns purple and the one Macaque puts back on his scarf turns golden pink.
Wukong was too tired to protest the action in the moment/was lost in thought over the idea of his old friend being alive and decided to indulge in the illusion for a bit, and then later he just... can't seem to want to get rid of the heart clip. He stares at it like "this isn't from the real Macaque, it's from an imposter" but still just, has this part of him that so desperately wants to believe in the illusion so he just... leaves it.
Post Lady Bone Demon's defeat, Wukong begrudgingly lets Macaque hang around even though he's still under the impression that he's, yknow, not the real Macaque. Even so though, he did help out, and MK is weirdly deciding to let him hang around, so Wukong lets him stay.
Wukong finds out Macaque is the real Macaque after seeing him sitting on Flower Fruit Mountain with his glamours down, playing with the monkeys like he used to. He promptly leaves for like, 4 days to process this revelation.
He also kicks a tree half way across the mountain during this time.
Okay. Time to reveal the main plot point. The reason Macaque doesn’t talk. Drumroll please.
Macaque is cursed to end every sentence with “I love you”.
Obviously since this is Macaque and he wouldn’t want to be caught dead saying “I love you” in ANY context, he decided to just shut up entirely.
This of course leads to scenes earlier in the AU such as;
Wukong: how dare you. how dare you impersonate him. do you know how much he meant to me? He was my world. Macaque, under his breath: tch, says the one that killed me- I love you Wukong, genuinely didn’t hear: w h a t?? Macaque, too flustered to do anything else: (punches Wukong in the face)
What’s REALLY fun about this AU is that in this AU specifically. Wukong’s love language is words. So after Macaque’s curse get’s revealed they’re both just dying 24/7.
It’s hysterical really. Like;
Wukong: i swapped your coffee with decaf mint flavoured tea Macaque: i fucking hate you, i love you Wukong: getting mixed messages but i love you too-
And then there's twenty seconds of silence and then Macaque has his head on the kitchen counter and is clinging trying to use it to keep himself from fully melting into the shadows and Wukong is putting his hands over his face and quickly walking away because he said "i love you too" on IMPULSE.
Wukong is the LAST PERSON to find out about the curse by the way. Everyone else found out about it because Macaque slipped up and said “Thank you, I love you.” when someone handed him something, and although the others thought nothing of it at first, Macaque immediately tried to backpedal and stumble his way out of what he just said, and since he has to end every sentence with “I love you” he basically ends up outing himself.
The way Wukong does find out about the curse is something in and of itself though.
Y’see, Macaque wanted to apologize to Wukong. For obvious reasons. He'd already done so for the others through doing requested favours and stuff and writing apologies to them but he had NO IDEA how he should start trying to apologize to Wukong.
So he goes to Sandy for advice, and, well, as it happens, Wukong happened to be secretly chilling on top of one of the crates on Sandy’s boat when this occurred.
Macaque: ........how do i tell Wukong I'm sorry -I love you? Sandy: well telling him you're sorry will probably take a while, you've had a long history with him and theres a lot to make up for, starting with smaller actions and favours first might work. Now though, telling him you love him would take quite a bit longer- Macaque: thATS NOT WHAT I MEANT THAT WAS THE CURSE AND YOU KNOW IT- I LOVE YOU Sandy, patting Macaque on the head: mhm yep i love you too lil monkey
Wukong falls off the crate he was sitting on and down into the water, but neither Sandy nor Macaque notices.
Wukong tries to just ignore it at first. Macaque starts doing small chores and favours around Flower Fruit Mountain and Wukong tries his absolute best to pretend that this is normal.
Eventually this accumulates to Wukong forcing Macaque to verbally apologize to him on his doorstep, except this backfires horribly because hearing the first “I love you” being technically directed at him absolutely murders him on the spot. Macaque doesn’t even notice Wukong break over it because he himself gets so flustered after two sentences that he instinctively teleports away.
Them actually talking through their issues actually takes at least a week because they both keep getting distracted by Macaque’s curse and have to take hour long breaks after only a couple minutes of conversation.
There’s a couple more things other than that but I think I’ll stop this post here by saying that when they kiss each other they leave behind little heart shaped marks on each others faces.
Oh. One last thing actually.
Once they get back together, Wukong calls Macaque “his Shadowheart” in this AU.
Anyways here’s the low quality design notes I have for this AU.

OooooOoo More Villain Erlang AU? But this time fake screenshots because I'm ✨LAZY✨?
Tumblr media
Mac gets friend privilege so he stands with Erlang as he villain monolouges to the others hehe
Tumblr media
Here I tried to draw them sitting on the jade emporers throne together. I like the idea of Erlang calling Macaque "Six" I think it's cute.
These are both very ShadowHound centric, as you can tell, because I'm obsessed with these two. But Mac does play a big role in this AU so it makes sense. Enjoy!

“Hey there,” he started, thankful that his voice sounded even. “You missed MK’s birthday, but, uh”– there’s a cough and a short kick to the sand– “he probably already told you about that. It was weeks ago anyway.” The wind brushed softly, causing his scarf to trail behind it. Macaque adjusted it when the breeze left. It needed to be loosened a bit. For some reason, its usual position was too tight. Felt suffocating.

I've been thinking about a little Isekai DND au… during the Skeleton Key episode while MK and Mei are fighting Red Son and PIF, they trip up and accidentally cause the key to open a door to another world. All the main players of the show are teleported in as well, and everyone is dumped in various locations across this fantasy world.
The main crew—including Wukong—would start at level 1, which Wukong would HATE. He'd be a pouty baby the whole time.
The goal is to find the key and get back home before anyone else does. However, this world has different rules than the one they know and LBD has more power here, even in her sealed form… but maybe, just maybe, she isn't the mastermind after all…?
I've got a few of the classes and subclasses picked out!
MK: Way of the Astral Self Monk
Wukong: Battlemaster Fighter or Oath of Glory Paladin (who worships himself)
Mei: Path of the Wild Barbarian
Sandy: Circle of the Moon Druid
Tang: Either a sorcerer or warlock (celestial warlock, with the Golden Cicada as his patron)
Pigsy: Cleric of the Forge Domain, but flavored to be a chef
Most of the villains, like LBD, the Mayor, and the DBK family (minus Red Son) will have just regular monster stat blocks. Macaque has a class, but I'm keeping quiet about it for now (ehehe).
Of course this will be Shadowpeach centric since I'm such a simp for the old gay monkies, but! I also really love MK's interactions with literally everyone and will focus a lot on him too (and promote my aroace MK agenda).

So, the lmk fandon tends to focus on. Mroe mk centric aus- which is fine AND understandable!!
He is the protag after all, but I want more Mei centric aus, like, look at this girl!! So many opportunities for angst and aus!!
Gimme mroe of her please she is like, my favorite character, she's great
Anyway I bring you this au I jsut thought out, I promise its a lot more angst then I make it seem in this post please-
Macaque raising Bai he AND Mei, cause we gotta have mama Mac
Like, he found mei....somehow- and bai he abandoned, maybe? And he's improving as a person, then LBD gets released and dresses one of his kids, and his ex takes another one of his kids to get the rings of sahamadi
And just like- mei knowing she's going to get grounded for LIFE after this whole thing, while also being worried sick for her little sister
And mac not knowing which side to go to because his daughters are on both. But if he goes to the oldest's side, his youngets could get hurt..and well....he IS still binded to LBD
Also nobody else knows Mac is meitbai he's dad, they jsut knwo the 2 are sisters and their dad is a very social person
because, come on. Mac is a loser and doesn't do social interactions- (/hj)
