Been thinking about a swap sskk au, but they were once in the mafia together, Akutagawa just managed to follow Dazai when he dipped.

Also, Akutagawa was one of the few people who knew Atushi was a person with a tiger ability, rather than a tiger created by someone's ability. So him and Dazai leaving made Atushi hang onto Chuuya like a lost puppy even more than he already did before (Chuuya's his mentor)

Just as a side note to the Runaway sskk au: Kyouka is saved from the mafia by Akutagawa.

Atsushi was never the level that og!Akutagawa was as a mentor, but Kyouka was scared as fuck of him because he never took human form near her and was always watching from afar, so she frequently felt like walking on eggshells and like he would kill her if she made the slightest slip during any of her missions.

In reality Atsushi was just trying to look out for her in a way a tiger will usually deal with a cub close to the age of beggining to hunt, tottally unaware of how scary he was for her until she was hiding behind Akutagawa when he came to retrieve Kyouka from the ada and realized she thought of him as a threat.

I see the "Ada witnessing how Atsushi acts around Akutugawa" and raise you, the Port Mafia seeing how Akutugawa acts around Atsushi.

Low ranked henchmen watching in confused terror as this detective insults their superior, a man who kills everyone who even looks at him wrong. And Akutugawa’s only response is to roll his eyes and tell him to shut up.

It’s not even just them, Akutugawa has made a name for himself to his superiors as a loyal member. He completes every mission, every task without fail. And he frequently disobeys orders even from Mori himself if it concerns the Weretiger.

Akutugawa who’s never cared for taking lives before is now against it because he promised the Weretiger that he wouldn’t kill for 6 months.

Also one of Akutugawa’s monikers is ‘the silent dog" , most of them have never heard him speak more than a few words. And here he is mid battle just monologuing to Atsushi who doesn’t even seem phased by it.
