I think the roles that Chuuya and Dazai played in Dead Apple where also just a way of making the story writing easier for the author.

When people got attacked by their abilities, the abilities thought and used the powers the same way the original users did, and also fought the same way.

If Dazai had tried to fight his ability it wouldn’t have gotten snywhere, and he could’ve been at it for a long while until someone showed up to help. Dazai isn’t the strongest in the ada, and he mostly dodges his opponent until he’s in a good spot to use his ability. He would also set traps for his enemy to fall into so he could take them hostage. On top of this even if someone had shown up to help, the nullification would have made that pretty hard as well.

If Chuuya had to fight his gravity manipulation, he probably would have died unless Dazai came to help. Since it’s no longer in a human body, it could have activated corruption for as long as it wanted, and Chuuya wouldn’t have stood a chance. There is also the fact that the author just kind of started putting Chuuya in random and useless places to satisfy the fans in the anime, so getting rid of his fight in the movie would have made it way less enjoyable.

The roles that these two play made the movie fun and interesting, and I love how Chuuya was able to trust in Dazai still being alive, and how he guessed that there would be a capsule in his mouth. They really do know each other really well and share a special bond, even if they are at each others throats 99% of the time.

I think it’s be something where he had gotten paired up with you or you’re one of his subordinates

Doesn’t matter how you met what matters is that the mafia executive has a crush on you

Chuuya will take you out to lunch or hand you your favorite snacks while he passes you in the hallway

Kouyou knows all about you btw she lets him rant about his undying love for you

He even offers you to wine taste with him

“Oh your don’t drink? That’s ok wanna grab dinner sometime…with me?”

He doesn’t really know how to ask you out so he just drops very minor hints till you understand

Dazai is one of those guys who will try to make their crush jealous by talking to the cafe lady

After he learned she was married he was out of ideas

He’s not dropping hints he’s full on saying it to you

He flirts, he whines, he cries,

You just guessed it was one of his silly little flirty jokes so you can of just shrugged it off with a smile

Dazai eventually just started leaving snacks on your desk with love notes and encouraging words to pull you in

He complains to atsushi

“What am I doing wrongggg…!” “🙂”

Unlike Chuuya he gets to the point where he just asks if you want to go out him with a very serious but soft expression

He’s the definition of “their eyes softened when they walked by”

Idk the lines but his crushing antics or something

i was rereading the first vol of the 15 manga today and dazai said smth abt how the sheep asked him to join a while ago why does no one talk abt that. how long ago. how old was he. is he an orphan or a run away? whyd he say no? was chuuya there and they dont remember eachother? WHERES MY SOUKOKU BOTH IN THE SHEEP AU???? GUYS??? PLEASE????

AND AND AND how long was he with the sheep??? in sb its implied they dont just take anyone randomly(or atleast they didn't for Chuuya when the sheep were still small. Shirase says he kinda hung around them for a bit before being an official member)??? And Chuuya says Dazai had a good idea on the sheeps innerworkings(then again shirase could say hi and dazai couldve figured out everything so that doesn't say much)

I want all of you to understand that there are only a few things in this world that could amaze and surprise the demon prodigy, Osamu Dazai. And here, in this exact moment, here, where he witnessed a god, an angel, he was left speechless.

The thing is, Dazai, cunning, ever-planning, always ahead of others boy genius, never in his whole damn life expected a god trapped inside the boy he was so obsessed with.

He was intrigued (YEEEEEES) by the 15-year old strong and powerful, clumsy, ball of chaos and emotions, with the bluest eyes and brightest hair in all of Yokohama. Imagine their first meeting. Imagine Dazai's POV of staring at this enigma, a kid same age as his with a heart for violence.

Mori saw through their potential but believe me, it was Dazai who completely wanted Chuuya. And it was with Chuuya that he discovered a lot of emotions he never thought he had the capacity to experience.

He got to be a kid with Chuuya. He had someone who can predict him, who can understand his every motive and move. He was surprised and agitated and at peace. He had his constant.

He had Chuuya despite being in different organizations.

AND YES, I am a believer of the lines that the bomb on Chuuya's car was his way of making sure that nobody suspects Dazai's partner about his departure. And that the dungeon reunion was just Dazai making sure that they're okay after all these years. And that Dazai will forever and ever consider Chuuya as his partner. And yes, it ticked him off when the russian rat insulted their bond.

And sometimes, maybe he wonders if this is how it is to be with a soulmate.
