as my own direct immediate list of game grievances i hate that stardew valley expects you to side against a wheelchair user who is upset that he was moved without his consent. i hate that the mass effect trilogy gives you visible scarring as a direct result of choosing mean dialogue and heals it if you're nice. i hate that the vampire the masquerade ttrpg has a monstrous player class that can appear as horrible vampiric monsters or as visibly disabled people and both of these appearances are mechanically the same. i hate that dark souls games have a difficulty level implemented in a way that cannot be adjusted for disability. i hate that i can play as a mermaid or a werewolf or a horse in the sims games but can't use a wheelchair. i hate that the ace attorney games have so much flashing and not all of the games can disable it. i hate that disability is constantly something that happens to teach a lesson, i hate that disability is something that happens as a punishment, i hate that disability is either compensated perfectly with no drawbacks or something that is endlessly sought to be cured. i hate that no character customization will ever include the mobility aids i use, that the player avatars that represent me will never look like me. i am so goddamn annoyed and so goddamn tired.

Tucker gets Recognized
So! This is using the Egyptian version of Hawkman and Hawkgirls past, cause that's the only way this works
The basic idea is Hawkman and Hawkgirl used to live in Egypt in high positions of Power. Hawkman used to be the Prince, and Hawkgirl used to be the High Priestess. They died one day and became cursed to forever reincarnate.
Ok, onto the prompt.
So, Hawkman is one day flying over the Midwest USA while lost in thought. He gets hungry and decides to set down in a small-ish town called Amity Park.
He goes to a nearby Burger Restaurant, and while he is waiting for his food he sees someone else pick up their food and walk out the door.
And one thought passes through his mind.
"Is that my fvcking Dad?!"
Yeah, Duulaman was Hawkman's Dad in his first life. He just never knew that his Dad was also a Reincarnator (he had the power before even his son, he just never told him).
Tucker, who has Duulamans powers but not his memories (by choice), has no idea why this Guy with Wings keeps following him around.
Wait, did that guy just call him Duulaman?! Oh Hell No!

Hi Your Majesty Elodie! I have a somewhat amusing story for you:
So, I was at a Family Dinner just last night, and — as one does — the conversation happened to be circling the subject of Medieval Creatures. (Spit dogs, at the time.) I mentioned a bit of Horse Knowledge that I picked up from your jockeyposting, and my father casually said, "You actually have horse racers in your family."
Which. Demanded further ecplanation.
Apparently, one of my great-great-grandfathers was a harness racer. (This is also on the side of my family that includes obscenely wealthy silversmiths, a WWII airship gunner, and possibly (although this one may just be family apocrypha) Davy Crockett's sister. They're just kinda like that.)
So. Thank you, Mr. Cillian, for revealing that in an alternate timeline I, too, may have been trapped in the Horse Vortex, and a question for you: does Killie's family include any wild curveballs?
(Killieposting)
Oh my, that’s so funny and cool! I love that kind of thing! Congratudolences.
The immediate dynasty are portrayed here, and not finalised, there being more b-generation uncles and c-generation cousins I haven’t added. The main point is that the Properties, which they’ve fought like tigers to accumulate, and thus the influence, travels down the elder sons; Bren&Blaw thus being more influential (having more horses) than poor Bernard (practically horseless).
Tumblr media
In this specific snapshot there’s no real surprises, as they all have done exactly what was expected and lived mostly-blameless horsey lives.
There is a mystery, in Albert’s wife Catherine, grandmother of The Boys. She came from nowhere, and there is no paperwork. She answered no questions. The kids remember being a bit of a Thing about the previous-generation’s equivalent of Bren’n’Blaw, the Family Fixers, having arranged some mildly dodgy false passport for her or something.
She said her birthday was January 1. Like a racehorse.
She was a very very pretty woman, seemingly much younger than Albert (birthdate unknown) and had been classically trained as a musician.
Charlie’s perennial distraction with music was always tolerated, and even mildly encouraged, being “just like his grandmother was.”
For a family obsessed with racehorse pedigree/provenance it was A Bit Weird and Increasingly So As You Think About It. One of those weird things that you reflect on later, adding up dots, convening with cousins. Like, it wasn’t like it was The Old Days, it was like…. The 1960s or something ??
Boring explanation: she was a Protestant from over the border who got divorced, and they buried it.
Twee Explanation Specifically for Pissing Charlie off: fairy wife from under the hill lmao
Unlikely given the circumstances but perfectly possible explanation: Traveller, no paperwork, never was.
Probable Explanation: abusive marriage, Albert and his siblings arranged a convenient death for the husband and nipped the wife away but didn’t fancy explaining themselves
Anyway, one single mystery: woman from nowhere, racehorse birthday.

Been working on some first run Chou sprites for funsies, here’s a handful of the ones I’ve done so far
#keese draws#isat#new game+#comic siffrin#comicfrin#isat siffrin#I mainly just wanted to figure out how chou may express differently than normal siffrin#they are alas far less kitty cat </3#but yeah even in their first run they were generally much lower energy than siffrin mostly due to stress#they are less used to traveling for long periods of time along with the whole savior thing going on#and while they start off generally handling their timeloop situation well enough even by the time they get the second orb they’re Tired man#and after the incident where they lost their eye they’re So ready for this to be over#and they haven’t even hit the wall of their final boss fight yet it took them a long while to get through that for the first time#the main thing is that their party spended most of their journey far more underleveled#for most of the main fights they were able to scrape through since the crew did have some disproportionally powerful abilities earlier than#the isat party would have similar skills (like their first recruit is a full blown shield specialist)#but as they got further and further and the boss gimmicks got more specific and punishing it would get Much harder#in the fight where chou lost their eye they were stuck for Months the first run trying to find a way to squeak through the fight#in game terms basically trying to abuse the consistent rng seed to find a chain of actions that would let them win#long story short the boss basically acts as a harsh punish for their lack of a proper healer#it also for realsies kills people like. during the battle. so the margin for error is slim to none.#basically once it takes out someone it’ll continue to target them and it can’t have its intent redirected#and it’s resistant to all craft types until it’s about to and failed to perform the final blow attack#without going too much into the party comp and how they generally fight just know that even if they weren’t underleveled this would low key#hard counter them since their whole game plan is about redirecting damage and simply killing the enemy before it kills them#so during this first run this fight was actual hell for chou to figure out and poor bastard hadn’t even hit their worst wall yet 😔#anyways that was a whole ramble that had nothing to do with the actual post I’m making. whoops.#point is they’ve earned the right to be low energy and stressed as hell they were Not built to carry a rpg party

I like Aika's design a lot and I can relate to someone with a perfectly healthy love of cheese.
Every year instead of a chocolate advent calendar I get myself a cheese one lmao, I'm partial to the red leicester
Of course if there's anyone who wouldn't know by now, Aika is from kianamaiart's "Pretty Pretty Please I Don't Want to be a Magical Girl", the pilot of which came out not long ago

Is Samuel the only person who recognizes the Hansry romance for what it is? The only person who has a Hansry specific line change? Outside of Hansry, and outside Henry's own subconsciousness in the form of his parents.
I think the way Samuel connects to Henry while having very few conversations with him is fascinating, but the way he clocks Hans and then the relationship that is consummated the very same night of the infiltration, and goes on to use this information to try and convince Henry to leave him.
Samuel can be impulsive, hot headed, distrustful, but he is so genuinely caring, charming, and observant. Incredible character. I want HIS take on Hansry, and Hans and Henry as individuals, so bad.
As far as we know, he is the only one! You can theorize about Godwin, but we just have proof of it for Sam. And his sort of quiet acceptance of it fits right in with what I was saying in part 1 of my Hans analysis, that Samuel's marginalized Jewish identity sits in the same space outside of the traditional societal structure as queerness does. It's no wonder that he sees this and doesn't judge it.
Honestly, based on his earlier conversation with Hans, I feel like he clocked that shit SO fast. I have my own ideas about how Jamuel happened, but especially if we assume that ship to be canon (and Warhorse evidently does! we just keep winning!), it would make sense that he sees all the telltale signs of gay panic / repression / gay yearning and recognizes it.
Like it would make sense for him to see these things through the lens of his own understanding of how he and John got together. Honestly, in that regard it wouldn't surprise me if he saw himself in Hans to a certain extent. The main difference between them is that Sam's marginality means he has given up putting on a pretense for the rest of the world, he's just honest about who he is. But he looks at Hans and sees someone who is still bound by these shackles despite not fitting into the mold.
Consider Raborsch: neither of them want to be there or feel like being particularly sociable. Hans is the only one who even briefly tries to pretend that he wants to do that and tries to fit in. Being the quiet person he is, I would bet good money that Sam notices all sorts of things people wouldn't normally pick up on. He most likely sees in Hans exactly the sort of person he would hate to be... all while also noticing that Hans seems to come more into himself when he's around Henry. Not to mention the jealousy. But we know all about that already.
And tbh? That's probably the thing that he can relate to the most when it comes to Hans, and is precisely why it's the thing he brings up to him. Like Hans just needs that little push in the right direction to help him understand how he feels...
Idk man Sam is just a really great older brother. Like I love him so much. He's such a magnificent character and we and John both are so lucky to have him.

Honestly we could REALLY get into the fact that a lot of the insanity in Acotar is an excellent exercise in why you can't really separate the art from the author.
Sjm's zionism is OBVIOUS in the text. The ic destabilize governments to the detriment of people they will never have to care for, steal artifacts from other countries, displace people, cause invasions, commit war crimes for 50 years "for the greater good" all while their own people are living under unchecked brutality and poverty.
They are rich megalomaniacs that care for no one but themselves and their own emotional and material satisfaction and they are PRAISED for it. In fact anyone who even remotely disagrees with the IC is almost always one of the villains in the story (Beron, Tamlin, etc) as if to condition the reader that asking questions that are critical of the IC puts you on the wrong side of the narrative morally.
All of that sounds REALLL familiar huh?

I am extremely disappointed and betrayed. I really didn't expect happyele to do the worst possible thing.
The amount of enstars content for me is now numbered. I didn't expect Heaven and Earth to be Akatsuki's finale but here we are.
Like many others, I'm jumping ship! I don't trust these racist mfers to continue this series.
They are celebrating the 10th anniversary by destroying the last 9 years of story; so for me there is no 10th anniversary. It will exist in this 9 year limbo, and I'll learn to be satisfied with that.
I'll continue posting enstars art and such, but it'll take a while for the sting to go away. It might never go away. I'm completely fine with remembering my hurt and anger, and I find solace in knowing that that anger is shared across languages and oceans.

I need us to think long and hard about how that Dynamic Duo concept art came to be. It doesn't matter that that's early concept art and the designs have changed; it matters that somewhere, at some time, the team animating the movie thought those designs were acceptable. And I want us to think about why.
Why is Jason a redhead?! He was blonde in a continuity that is no longer relevant to modern comic books (no, I don't fucking care that Infinite Frontier basically made all continuities canon again; no one is referencing a continuity that hasn't been relevant since the early 80s in 2025) and a redhead for one (1) book that was supposed to be the end of the road for his character.
Why does he look older and have more square features?! We know that they're gonna be a similar age but Jason has always been the younger, smaller one.
Why has Jason inherited Damian's more edgy red/grey/black color scheme for hide Robin uniform?! I know DC is hell bent on rebooting Jaybin because they can't admit that they fucked up by letting a grown ass man kill off a 15 year old for shock value, but damn!! Jason was not a bad boy as Robin; he was poor. He wore the hot pants with *pride*. I know people these days turn up their nose at the sillier costume choices from the Golden and Silver Ages of comics, but there could've been a better way to differentiate Jason as Robin.
Idk.
I'm not gonna call people who like these designs sheeple because, divorced from the Robin of it, they look cool. Its just not Jason. That's not my Jaybin. Why does Dick get to keep the essential parts of his character, but Jason is constantly being robbed of his?!
Yes, Dick's back story has been rebooted and updated over the years - the character has been around for 80 years - but these changes are always done with careful consideration to keep the core of who Dick is consistent. We get none of that with Jason. why does every time we turn around, Jason is being remade into a new character, divorced from the origin story we all know?!
These changes are not accidents. They didn't come out of nowhere.
I need us to think long and hard about why we're so okay with them warping a character we all supposedly like this way.

The Power of a Good Friend
In November of 1960, 6-year old Ruby Bridges was escorted by US federal marshalls into William Frantz Elementary School in New Orleans - 6 years after the US Supreme Court's Brown v Board of Education overturned its own previous "separate but equal" ruling from Plessy v Fergusson.
Tumblr media
The state had tried closing schools rather than integrate them, the legislature had passed dozens of laws to keep schools segregated (in defiance of the courts), and school boards had implemented egregious barriers to integration, including 'intelligence' and other testing for prospective black students. White parents withdrew their children from school in protest. Ruby was eventually the only student in her class. Crowds of adults outside the school screamed death threats and hurled racial slurs.
Tumblr media
In the midst of all this turmoil, Ruby's white teacher, Barbara Henry, became her friend and ally. Ruby would later say "Despite all the hate that was going on outside, inside that room it was filled with love". While other teachers resigned their jobs in protest over integration, Ms. Henry committed herself to supporting Ruby. "I would not have gotten through that if it had not been for my teacher," Ruby later recalled. "She filled my day with things to do. She made school fun. I enjoyed learning. Even though the crowd was outside yelling, she would go and close the window, and she'd say 'We're going to have music today,' just to drown out everything." Initially, Ruby had lunch alone in the classroom, while Ms. Henry ate with other teachers, but Ruby stopped eating. She hid her sandwiches in a storage cabinet until mice and roaches started showing interest. Ruby later said Ms. Brown "was just sorry there were so many days when I hadn't eaten. After that, she usually ate with me so I wouldn't be lonely".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ruby recently wrote a book, titled Ruby Bridges: A Talk with My Teacher, described as a love letter to teachers who hold the power to change lives. The value and impact of even one true friend on someone's life is impossible to measure.
Tumblr media
Ruby went on to graduate from a desegregated high school, marry, have four children, and start the Ruby Bridges foundation to promote "the values of tolerance, respect, and appreciation of all differences". I love the story of her meeting President Barack Obama in the White House when Norman Rockwell's painting The Problem We All Live With, was placed on display. When President Obama came into the room, he gave her a hug and whispered "I cannot begin to tell you what an honor it is to welcome you into this White House under this administration... I think it's fair to say that if it hadn't been for you guys, I might not be here and we wouldn't be looking at this together."
Tumblr media
When asked what advice she would give to herself as a child today, Ruby replied "It would be the same advice that the federal marshalls gave me. They said, 'Ruby, walk straight ahead and don't look back.' That's what they told me at 6 years old, and I've tried really, really hard to do that. I think that would be my advice to all of us who were on this path and want to see a better world for our children."
