no, but like. ed says "you don't get to say that to me" when stede is about to say "i love you" and like, stede does stop, and he pulls that SMOOTH fucking pivot, and we get that absolutely gorgeous romantic line of loving breathing the same air and everyone who was like "stede didn't know he was flirting and ed still fell for him, imagine how good he's gonna be when he does know he's flirting" was sooo right

🐙 Daily Cephalopod Fact: 🐙
Flamboyant Cuttlefish: Cuttlefish have a specialized, hollow feature called a cuttlebone that helps the animal maintain buoyancy by adjusting the levels of gas and liquid in its chambers.1 Because the flamboyant cuttlefish’s cuttlebone is relatively small, this species can only float and swim for short amounts of time. Instead of swimming, flamboyant cuttlefish “walk” along the ocean floor using their arms. They also have a highly developed sensory system that helps them respond and adjust to their surroundings.

yeah sorry, i can't hang out today, i'm too busy thinking about stede bonnet ofmd being so entirely worn down by a life of repression and bullying and suffocating expectations for so so long only to finally get a taste of joy and love and freedom, and how his own doubt and guilt almost cause him to lose everything and condemn himself to a life of unhappiness, and how the realization of his love and newfound understanding of the breadth of the life he's given up fundamentally change him, and how he kills himself and is reborn as a man who will fight with every ounce of himself to claw out room in his life for that happiness, and how that happiness has a name and his name is ed. yeah it's gonna be all day, sorry.
