"Am I dying?" whimpers the tiny small human child.

"JUST KEEP PRESSURE ON THE WOUND!"

"ELAVATE IT! SHE SHOULD ELAVATE IT!!"

"But I'll swallow blood if I do!"

"..." "..."

"YOU'LL WHAT?!" screeched both adults

"TILT DOWN! DOWN CHILD!!"

"YOU <--<>] FOR BRAINS! THAT'LL MAKE HER BLEED EVEN MORE!"

"THEN WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO?!"

"WHAT THE FU--FUDGE IS GOING HERE! WE WERE GONE FOR LESS THAN 5 MINTUES!!"

"Aw, Agnes sweetie, is your nose dry again? Come here, let's get you some tissues and clean you up. Keep your head forward." soothed the human adult.

"Can I change my shirt too?"

"Of course buddy."

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! SHE NEED MEDICAL-!"

"Would you zip it?! She's fine! It's just a bloody nose from her nose being so dry--the inside skin is sensitive and a small blood vessel was probably ruptured. It sounds and looks bad but honestly it's not a serious thing."

"...are you sure?" they fearfully asked.

"Positive. I get the same thing all the time when sick. It'll go away in a few minutes. Now for future reference just give the kid lots of tissues and have them hold it to their nose. Keep their head facing forward; if they tilt back the blood will flow into their throats, and if they tilt forward they'll bleed more."

"...understood."

"Good. Now maybe go apologize to Agnes for traumatizing her for the past 5 minutes."

"That's a good idea."

"I'll give her some of my blood as an apology."

"...that's nice but maybe don't."

Something about The Lost Boys, a deeply, deliberately queer movie all about vampires (so necessarily obsessed with blood transfer/exchange), where being attracted to the wrong person, taking risks around them, taking their tainted blood into your body, will change your life irrevocably and doom you to death, coming out in 1987, and saying that the real source of the majority of the problems caused by sharing tainted blood is a respectable middle-aged middle-class white man obsessed with power, heteronormativity, and the replication and eternal enshrinement of the nuclear family structure, and that the only way to survive and cure the infection is to destroy him...whoooo.

Bonnie sat in a black leather armchair, spine straight, heart pounding. In spite of her youth, she felt confident and self-assured when dealing with vampires several hundred years her elder.

Usually.

Something about this particular vampire, who anyone with any sense knew to be undeniably the most dangerous of an already very dangerous family, set her off-kilter.

"Do we have a deal?" Niklaus Mikaelson demanded, his tone that of one unused to being denied.

Bonnie's left hand reached for the amethyst ring little Davina had insisted she wear on the little finger of her left hand and fiddled with it.

She drew comfort from it and that moment of comfort allowed her to remember her friend Astrid's words.

Breathe in, breathe out, count to ten before you commit yourself to anything.

Bonnie breathed in, she counted to ten once, twice, three times.

"Well," insisted the self-proclaimed king of the city. "Do we? Or do you not think you can do it?"

Bonnie's resolve strengthened. Head held high, she responded confidently. "Oh, I can do it. There's no deal unless you agree to my terms."

The vampire's eyes flashed dangerously. For a moment Bonnie thought they were yellow but then she saw they were blue and she told herself she had imagined it.

"Perhaps it would be best if we continued this discussion another time." Klaus said, sounding both angered and grudgingly impressed by her daring. "You are dismissed."

He waved a hand to indicate she was to go.

But when Bonnie reached the threshold, fuming and ready to spill everything to Astrid, something prevented her from stepping out of the room.

Lifting her arms and pushing hard, Bonnie spoke the words of a spell.

Which did nothing.

Without looking up from his glass, the vampire repeated. "You are dismissed. I warn you, provoking me will only harm your position."

"I'm trying to leave!" Bonnie exclaimed, forgetting not to stomp her foot. "There's something wrong with this room. It won't let me out."

Before she'd registered the vampire had even left his chair, he was beside her. Extending his arm in front of him, he too felt the invisible barrier. With tremendous force, he drove his fist into the air.

He staggered back as the force reverberated back but the barrier remained solid and immovable.

"What's going on? Greta!" Klaus bellowed.

A blonde appeared seemingly out of nowhere and leaned languidly against the wall opposite - so close and yet so far away.

"I'm afraid Greta is incapacitated at the moment." She said pleasantly without a trace of regret in her voice.

"Rebekah, what have you done?" The vampire beside Bonnie spoke softly but he had never sounded so dangerous.

Rebekah tossed her head. "Kol isn't the only one who knows how to use dark objects. I'm going out to enjoy a day without you breathing down my neck."

She turned and walked away.

"REBEKAH, COME BACK HERE!" Klaus roared, losing all his remaining composure.

Bonnie, mind spinning, walked over to her chair and sat down again.

She didn't know much about dark objects; Sheila Bennett hated them; but she knew they could serve as dampeners, preventing the use of magic until they were disabled.

"Sit down." She said firmly, cutting through her companion's litany of threats. "As we're stuck in here together, we might as well continue our discussion."

So this grew out of another fic idea I had. I didn't give an exact date but this is set somewhere between Kol's daggering by Klaus in 1914 and Rebekah's summoning of Mikael in 1919. I picture Bonnie as eighteen in this scene so she'd have been born between 1897 and 1900.

I haven't decided if the Bennetts came to New Orleans from Salem (there's a ~20 year gap between leaving Salem and New Orleans' founding that I'd have to have them be somewhere in between) or if Sheila decided to leave Mystic Falls and take Bonnie to New Orleans after Abby's departure.

Klaus has told Bonnie some details about the curse he wants her to break but not all hence the reaction to the yellow eyes.

I don't think I would write this as a full fic but I would absolutely keep writing vignettes set in this verse if people are interested.

In your Monster AU what would Will Powers, Lana Skye, Maggey Byrde, Max Galactica (also will he be based on the game or the anime version because one is likable and the other wants to marry a minor), Adrian Andrews, Ron DeLite, and Terry Fawles would be?

Since we know what Maya, Edgey, Phoenix, and Iris would be. I just wanna know all the trilogy defendants

Will Powers is a human, but everyone just *assumes* he’s a werewolf (he is not)

Lana Skye is also a human

Maggey Byrde is a magpie aarakocra (basically bird person)

Max Galactica is a vampire (not sure why I would ever choose to make him iffy, so let’s go with the likable one)

Adrian Andrews is a tiefling

Ron DeLite is an elf (his ears are covered by his hair)

And Terry Fawles is an earth elemental (easily influenced, not high on intelligence stats, and so that’s how Dahlia was able to manipulate him so easily)

Max doesn't only train to be a good thief, but to also be efficient at cryptid hunting. He's convinced himself that Yamachan is not a minimum wage worker in a costume, but in fact a yokai. I could imagine him literally TACKLING that poor thing with such inhuman force omg (canon event). He's never been to Mt. Komorebi ...yet.... but once he does, it will be his first and last time going bc he will get banned due to his shenanigans.

He drives himself mad with these conspiracies and monster research. I mean he literally wants to disect Father Winter... with uh. questions. He wants to get to know him! Yeah :)

i found it on this post!!!!! (linked to my reblog so i don't lose it) like i mentioned in the comments of my OG post about the playlist he hasn't taken it down yet + one of his leaked song choices is on there so we're all assuming it's the official account (not to invade his privacy or anything but if you click on the account itself and scroll through to look at some of the other playlists he's kept public it does seem like his personal account. which would track with him originally keeping the s2 playlist private)—the first songs on there were added in May though so it's entirely possible he made a new playlist with some of the songs sans the 'embarrassing' ones. either way it's Armand soundtrack material and i've been lying facedown on the floor about it since i added it to my library
