hi!! i just want to say that i really love your writing. like a LOT. i find the way you express feelings in your writing to be so relatable, even if i can't personally relate, if that makes sense? like whenever i read your poetry i can picture the feelings/places/things you're writing about perfectly. and that's for sure a mark of great writing :)
thank you so much!! this is feels like such a high compliment, especially coming from another writer. i've been having a rollercoaster day but this legitimately made me so happy.
also, this is kinda unrelated but where do you get your writing inspo from? lots of the things you write about feel familiar, like something i would like to read/write more about and i also just kinda want to branch out in my poetry reading (this also extends to the two other people who might happen across this post, i'm always looking for book/author recs)

do you have specific favorite poems/poets rn?
HI :D thank you very much for asking anon
i love love love ts eliot i think he’s fantastic. i think old possum’s book of practical cats is super cute and silly. there are a few other standalone ones found in the poems of ts eliot volume 2 that i very much enjoy, including “Are you a-“ which can’t really be found in other places.
on tumblr, i think @maybe-itsforthebest writes wonderfully. my favourite from her is called mulberries.
mitski is my favourite artist, and i think her lyricism is akin to poetry. i take a lot of inspiration from her style of writing because i think she is so stellar. i’m a huge fan of all the writing in her 2013 album, retired from sad, new career in business; my favourite probably being circle. others include fireworks, lonesome love, and last words of a shooting star, but honestly it's very hard to choose.
please feel free to send me any poetry recs if you have them and thank you for asking, once again.
