002 Minerva McGonagall

@thatmadgirlinthecorner thank you!! Minerva is one of my favourite characters (obviously!). 

How I feel about her?

She’s an absolute legend, I respect her way more than most of the other HP characters. She was only in her 40s during the Marauders Era, which I think we all forget (and before you argue, FBAWTFT is not canon imo)? She had a difficult life but somehow never lost her enthusiasm, protectiveness and kindness towards her pupils and her sharp sass! People are scared of her because she is rather formidable. I feel like she is someone who hates bullies and they would grovel in front of her. I respect her way more than Dumbledore (yeah I don’t like him much, so bad example). She always had Harry’s best interests at heart. She was very sad to see him left at the Dursley’s house, whom she considered to be the "worst kind" of people. She kept a close eye on Harry from time to time during his early childhood and she was right to be concerned. 

She is always kind to Remus and we know she loved the Marauders and that she loved Lily and James and was one of those not celebrating after Voldemort was killed because she was grieving for them. She couldn’t quite believe that Sirius had turned on James (I think she had a soft spot for Sirius and thought maybe her fondness had blinded her to his faults) AND she never liked Peter Pettigrew because she was damned right and a highly intelligent woman!! Harry loves her so much he casts an Unforgivable when he sees her being disrespected:

Amycus moved forward until he was offensively close to Professor McGonagall, his face within inches of hers. She refused to back away, but looked down at him as if he were something disgusting she had found stuck to the lavatory seat.

“It's not a case of what you'll permit, Minerva McGonagall. Your time's over. It's us what's in charge here now, and you'll back me up or you'll pay the price.” And he spat in her face.

Harry pulled the Cloak off himself, raised his wand, and said, “You shouldn't have done that.”

As Amycus spun around, Harry shouted, “Crucio!”

I love the idea of her being a Quidditch fanatic, and especially being obsessed with Gryffindor winning the Cup!! Pottermore says she suffered a nasty fall in her final year due to a foul during the Gryffindor versus Slytherin match which would decide the Quidditch Cup winner. I love her having that strong competitive streak, despite her high morals and overall fairness, she’s dying for them to win!

There are so many versions of Minerva that I love,especially anything by @lizardcookie @bcdaily @ghost-of-bambi @petals-to-fish @wewereinfinitelywolfstar and please remind me of others, I know I am missing them!!

In  We Can Be Heroes I love trying to make her scary, respected by all, with her brilliant dry wit, fiercely fond of Lily, James, Sirius and Remus and obviously Harry. 

All the people I ship romantically with Minerva:

I don’t really tend to, but I do think of her as bi and that perhaps she was in a relationship with Pomona Sprout?  Minerva's school career overlapped by two years with that of Pomona Sprout, and “the two students enjoyed an excellent relationship” - are you thinking what I’m thinking? I also kind of fancy her with Poppy (Poppy is brilliant imo).

I think she closed herself off emotionally after the loss of Dougal Mc Gregor,   muggle and love of her life, who proposed to her on a ploughed field. I love that they are described as sharing ”a sense of humour, argued fiercely, and suspected mysterious depths in each other”. 

My non romantic OTP:

Well, probably Poppy, although I like to think she and Slughorn used to have afternoon tea on Sundays (even if he was actually a bit intimidated by her). I know she was allegedly good friends with Dumbledore but he’s in my bad books...

My unpopular opinion about Minerva:

Mc Gonagall: Did someone mention an unpopular opinion? Don’t be ridiculous, you blithering idiot!

Me: Nope, not at all, never heard of it

One thing I wish had happened in canon with Minerva:

 Given she wasn’t aware that Pettigrew was the Secret Keeper, and never liked him, I wish she had found that out and then followed him incognito in her Animagus form and discovered he was the spy and saved Lily & James. Failing that, I wish she had fought to clear Sirius’ name and save him from going to Azkaban. And failing that, I wish she had gone against Albus’ wishes and decided she was going to raise him instead of the Dursleys.

My headcanon fact:

She was invited to the Potters wedding and danced with both Sirius and James. Sirius invited her to dance to the muggle music and she stunned them all by dancing way better than most of them! She was a fan of Siouxsie and the Banshees (I have no idea why, but that’s now canon! I may be a bit obsessed with dancing, lol).

This drawing was made for days 27 & 28 and prompts "Unfinished business" and "flashback".

I would like to say that, surprisingly, "unfinished business" was an inspiring one! I have some headcanons that include Snape letting things undone before engaging in some important events of the Harry Potter series. Here, I wanted to go with something a bit symbolic while drawing a parallel with what I consider as one of the most beautiful - yet deleted scene of the 6th movie.

As a Snape fan, you certainly know the "in noctem" scene, that was intended to come right before Dumbledore's murder. It's a very melancholic scene ("In noctem" is one of my favorite tracks from the series), where Snape appears staring throught a window while a menacing storm is coming, ungulfing the whole castle of Hogwarts. I think, based on what we can notice in the setting of this sequence, that Snape is in Minerva's office at this moment. I never understood why - but still.

I wanted to draw Mc Gonagall's office at first, then I decided to make a more generic place in representing simply a bookshelf and a table with various stuff put on it - and drawing said stuff meant that Snape had certainly been working in that place, so it would rather not be his colleague's room.

I put the pensieve on the table - memories can be seen swirling into it, what represents the "flashback" part, something that will forever take Severus back to his regrets and past mistakes. The rest is pretty self explainatory - the candel represents dying light, the report is left unachieved with the quill lying on it, and there also is an overturned hourglass. All things that Snape will leave behind when time will come -

You're free to imagine that this snippet is taking place before any important moment for Snape - it can be before Dumbledore's murder as I originaly intended (before slightly changing my mind to make it more open to interpretation), but also before leaving for the battle of Hogwarts in the last book (I've always imagined that Snape would have look at his memories a last time - before giving them to Potter - when he felt the moment was nearing), or even before leaving Hogwarts for a Death Eater meeting (do you believe that Dumbledore sometimes lended the pensieve so that Snape could get some memories out? I always thought it could be read that way in OotP).

ah hello Penny, oh my god thank you for this ask !! I've always wanted to word vomit about these two so I apologise if this gets too long and too self indulgent ! (this got a lot longer than i expected so I’ll put a “keep reading” break in)

Okay first is Karl 

Karl is a character that I love so so much and is one that I’ve been slowly developing my version of over the past year nearly. In my headcanon, Karl is an Irish muggleborn wizard. He was extremely scared, lost and confused when he got the news he was a wizard and the idea of being sent away to this weird school where he knew absolutely no body was terrifying to him. He was scared to leave his family behind to go to school and be thrown into this world he had no idea about. With the help of Mc Gonagall, he was given some books about the wizarding world and Hogwarts that he dissected thoroughly so he could be as prepared as he could before entering this new world. 

On the train to Hogwarts was when he first met Craig, Polly and Yann as they all ended up sharing a carriage (only Yann and Polly knew each other). They spent the time telling each other about themselves and when Karl let it be known that he was muggleborn and was scared about what was to come, the other three made sure to keep him as calm as possible and answered any questions he had about everything. Karl was entirely grateful for their company on the ride to school and knew that they would all become great friends. 

When Karl got to meet Albus in person after finding out who he was from Yann and Poll, he actually really liked him and anted to befriend him but with his growing friendship with Yann and Poll and their different opinions on Albus once he got sorted into Slytherin and time moved on etc, he thought he better play it safe and try not to harm the friendships he had already developed by trying to befriend Albus. This is why he started to join in on the bullying and the dissing of Albus and Scorpius from the beginning, an act at first to fit in that gradually became first nature. He knew it was wrong but at that moment of time, he was more worried that he would be left alone with nobody if he let his different opinion on both the boys be shown.

When Craig was killed, Karl was truly heartbroken. He had been the closest to Craig out of the group, Craig was the first person to welcome him to Hogwarts and ever since then they had almost been inseparable, despite their different houses and different years. He didn't talk to anyone for a week, refused to leave his dorm room. The situation broke him and an actual "hatred" for Albus and Scorpius emerged as he fully blamed them for Craig's death. Even with this hatred  though, he never confronted them about it, he just increased his nastiness for them. He knew it was the grief and the hurt talking but he didn't care.

Despite how much hate he had towards both the boys after what happened, he was the first out of himself, Yann and Polly to apologise for everything he had put them through over the years. He admitted why he acted the way he did without using it as an excuse and admitted that he actually really liked them both and didn't blame them for Craig's death anymore (he always knew in his heart they could have done nothing). After this he developed a friendship with both Albus and Scorpius and to this day they are all extremely good friends.

Okay, now onto Yann ! 

Yann is once again a character that I have a lot of love for and even though I’m still figuring out little pieces of my version of him, I do have a few ideas and thoughts so I'm just going to do bullet points of some of my ideas and headcanons instead of paragraphs ! 

- He is a half blood, his mother is a muggle and his father is a wizard. He showed his magical ability quite young, his first incident of accidental magic happening when he was only six months old. 

- Ever since he was told he was a wizard and began to learn about the world and Hogwarts, he knew he would be sorted into Gryffindor. He knew he had most, if not all the traits of a Gryffindor and he couldn’t see himself being sorted into any other house. Surprisingly to him when it came to his sorting, the hat was tempted to but him into Ravenclaw as it could sense his wit and intelligence but eventually chose Gryffindor. 

- He and Polly knew each other before they attended Hogwarts although they weren’t the closest of friends. Both of their fathers were friends and the families were always hanging out with each other. They got along but wouldn't have considered each other best friends or anything. When it was coming closer to them leaving for Hogwarts, they made a deal with each other that they would stick together until they met other people and made more friends so neither of them would be left alone. Spending all this time together from the moment they left for Hogwarts brought them closer as friends and even though they were making other friends, they still stuck together and ended up in the same friend group and became extremely close friends.

- Yann realised that he had feelings for Polly at the start of fourth year but kept them extremely hidden for a long time in fear that admitting anything would mess up the friendship that they had. He hoped that it would be one of those silly little crushes that went away over time but he knew deep down that this wasn't the case. He always found his eyes drifting towards her, the urge to hold her hand etc and he hated it because Polly was his best friend, she couldn’t be anything more. Eventually after a lot of convincing from his friends and a lot of hyping himself up, he decided to let Polly know how he felt and it turned out she felt the same way. They started officially dating at the end of fourth year to nobodies surprise. (literally everyone knew they would end up together eventually)

- He is a HUGE Quidditch fan and owns every edition of Quidditch Through The ages that is available including : first editions, collectors editions and anniversary editions. He always dreamed of making it onto the Gryffindor Quidditch team as a keeper and when it eventually happened, it was one of the best days of his life. 

- Even though he has a true love for Quidditch, he always knew it wasn’t something he wanted to continue into in a serious manner after Hogwarts. He signed up for the Auror programme once he graduated and worked as an Auror for a few years before realising it wasn’t really what he wanted to be doing so he took a few years away and worked in Quality Quidditch Supplies as he figured out what he really wanted to do career wise. (still working on the final piece of this) 

I’m still developing both these characters so there is still some gaps to fill up but we’ll get there eventually. I just have so much love for both of these boys and I can’t wait to keep developing them and eventually have fully fleshed out backstories and futures of them both !

The more i think about it the more i realize people don't hate Snape as a person, they hate him as a character because he's not well written and they are right. Severus Snape is the worst villain/anti-hero JKR ever wrote and antis won't stop talking about him until his fans will admit that something went wrong in the way JKR wrote him.

Snape can't be complex. It's literally impossible to develop a secondary character who is written from the third pov and is made to be a red-herring for 7 books. The series are about Harry James Potter and there is not enough space in the books for well explored and compelling anti-heroes. JKR didn't have enough time/space to give Snape complex relationships with his colleagues, with other death eaters, to explore his trauma, his actions as a double-agent. He's barely developed. We know nothing about him and the only way to learn something private about him is the pensieve. ( We got 2 pensieve scenes actually)

He's almost an anonymous whose the surface is barely scratched even after the Prince's Tale. Yes he saved people out of guilt because the only friend he managed to have in his life died. LOL. What a complex character.

Where does JKR explore his trauma ? His self-hatred ? Where does she show Snape working very hard to fix his mistakes ? Where does she show Snape being human and capable of being loved like any morally grey person ? Where does she explain clearly that Snape joined the death eaters because he wanted to be safe and powerful ? (Interviews post-canon don't count)

Nowhere. Nowhere because she never wanted to write him through another pov than Harry's. There were 2 chapters where Harry wasn't there to judge him. 2 fuckin chapters in 7 books. Now tell me that he was deep, the we know many thing about his psychology, that we have enough canon material to analyse him without falling in the realm of headcanons ??? It will be hard tbh.

You can't write a "complex" character through a biased pov it doesn't work because the reader is influenced and doesn't have all the informations to reconsider their opinion. The informations are not there so the only valid argument that can be used against interpretations we disagree with is "but it's just Harry's pov we don't really know !" and that's the problem. We don't know. We don't know if Snape hated himself and saw himself as unworthy of love, we don't know if had a soft side and was fond of some students, if his parent's were alive, if he really cared about Lucius Malfoy... Snape is in the shadow, he works as double agent and Harry is not supposed to know it but JKR still did a poor job at humanizing Snape. She did everything to disgust the reader and a few scenes at the end of the series are clearly not enough to make Snape "complex".

Just because you are able to fill the blank and the untold backstory of Severus Snape with headcanons doesn't mean he's well developed either. It's not your job to build Snape's character and say "see ! He's very deep !". It was JKR's job to explain clearly his psychology, not yours.

If she wanted Snape to be complex she should have given him :

- sympathetic moments from a neutral pov

- more chapters where we could see more of his actions as a double agent, again from a neutral pov.

- at least one meaningful relationship with someone alive to humanize him.

Those things would be impossible since, like i said, the HP books are written from the wrong pov. That's why i would be interested to watch a HP tv show written from a neutral pov where the secondary characters (Snape, Luna, Neville,Mc Gonagall) would be more developed and complex.

Personally it doesn't prevent me from loving Severus, Remus, Arthus Weasley or Dumbledore even if we have so little informations about their private life and backstory. There are things to appreciate about them in canon (personally i love Snape's talent, self-control and bravery) but i completely understand that antis think that Snape is failed because he is.

Just because Snape saved people doesn't mean he's morally grey or complex. Just because you project your own trauma on him doesn't mean he's well explored. It just means that he inspires you and that you relate to him. That's all.

SO MANY,  I want to do them all!  But you may have a hit upon some of your birthday fic in this so I’m going to just do this for you, love. It may have gone a bit astray ;-)

- Sirius Black and James Potter had been metaphorical thorns in Minerva’s side since their first week at Hogwarts.

- Six years later she still had no idea how two first years could have flooded the entire dungeons with sticky essence of murtlap causing the Slytherins to have to relocate to the Great Hall for two nights while the dungeons were cleaned. 

- But she knew those boys were behind it.  

- She also knew it had something to do with the Howler Sirius had received from his horrible mother the day after he’d been sorted into Gryffindor. She had seen how the boy had blanched despite trying to pretend his mother’s heinous words hadn’t bothered him.

- More importantly she had seen the look of anger on James Potter’s face at how his new friend was treated and she had watched his face turn thoughtful immediately after.

- It didn’t help the boys that they had been caught just down the corridor by Filch, but Minerva knew in her heart the boys had planned their prank as way to cheer Sirius so she had gone easy on their detentions.

- Over the years she had watched the two become the best of friends, bringing both Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew into their circle and while they were definitely mischievous she also saw how the boys protected and cared for each other. 

- She had always felt protective over young Lupin because of his lycanthropy and had worried he might not fit in with his classmates, but the friendship he had forged with the other three seemed to be exactly what the shy, quiet boy had needed.  She was aware they knew Lupin’s secret and was moved by the fact it made them even more loyal to the boy.

- Minerva never knew what to expect from Potter and Black, but she could always safely assume trouble was around the corner if those two were near.

- If it wasn’t outrageous pranks like the time they had charmed all of the pumpkins at the Halloween feast to sing bawdy songs and only grow louder when any of the Professor’s tried to silence them, it was small annoyances she actually found quite humorous.  

- She had found a box of Muggle cat treats on her desk one day with a note signed from her secret admirers as well as a bag of catnip just outside her chamber doors another day.  She knew it was her boys.

- And ‘her boys’ they were.  

- She knew they were troublemakers, but she had grown to love those boys as if they were her own though she would never admit it out loud.  

- She watched Sirius flounder and rebel, trying so desperately to not be like his family and she saw how he had flourished with the love and friendship of the other boys.  His brilliant mind could have been put to ill use if not for the gentle guidance and influence of the other three, especially Remus who she noticed Sirius always listened to more than the others. 

- Minerva saw James grow from an arrogant boy who thought he could no wrong to the kind and caring boy who tutored first years when needed and eventually won over the heart of Miss Evans.  She had been secretly cheering them on from the sidelines for years, but had admired Lily’s tenacity in spurning James’ affection until he’d matured. 

- Even now as she handed out yet another in the long line of detentions she had issued them over the years, she couldn’t help but be proud of the brilliance of their latest prank.  How those boys could manage to be so mischievous and yet remain at the top of their year was a mystery even to her. 

- Minerva looked on, peering at them over the top of her glasses with a stern look on her face, as they scrubbed the blackboards in her classroom and couldn't help but smile as she saw Sirius sneak a quick kiss to Remus’ cheek when he thought she wasn’t looking.  

- She bit her lip to stop the grin when she saw James help Peter, who was much shorter, reach the top of the blackboard to wipe it down.  

- Yes, her boys were always in trouble for some reason or another, but she was proud that they were her boys.

Lupin

Teddy Lupin may not be a werewolf but he has some characteristics: Dad amber eyes and he is always moody around full moon

Teddy look like both of his parents but depend who you ask, he is the portrait of his dad/his mom.

He changes hair with his mood but his go to color is turquoise.

Bill and Fleur’s children

Victoire Weasley may look like the nicest angel ever, but don’t trust her appearance ! Ever heard about “look like a cinnamon roll, could actually kill you” ? That’s it. That’s Victoire. She is a fucking badass so careful if you ever envision to fight her.

Victoire has light blond hair, almost silver and blue eye from the same shade than her dad.

Gryffindor

Dominique hates her name

Actually she goes by Dom

She is a punk ass bitch. She found her dad’s dragon leather jacket at 14 in the attic. She never left it since.

She wants to be a Curse-Breaker like Bill. He says he disapproves because it is a dangerous life but secretly he is proud.

She is strawberry blonde, with the same eyes than her sister. And freckles.

Gryffindor too

Louis may looks like a typical heartthrob, but deep down he is the sweetest.

Actually being the young brother of two girls made him realize how much it was difficult to be a woman, and he became full feminist.

Every time he hear someone making a mean comment about a girl in Hogwarts he is like “EXCUSE YOU ASSHOLE ?! WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?”.

Since he is a tall guy like Bill, usually it is enough. If not don’t worry he has a WHOLE speech for you.

He is blond, darker than Victoire, with mom’s eye.

Hufflepuff

Molly is pretty much like a mini-Percy (minus the jerk phase)

She works hard and she knows what she want : working at the Ministry of Magic in the Magical Law Department

Carefull if you disturb her while she works ! She knows a few pranksters that can make you regret it.

Lucy is more... agitated. With a bubbly personality

Actually, pretty much like Audrey. A true ray of sunshine.

She is a tiny lady

But she is a strong lady

She has no interest ever in Quidditch BUT she looooooves rugby (that’s the muggle side from Mom). She even starts a rugby club at Hogwarts.

She has auburn hair with brown eyes.

Honestly being raise by George Weasley, in a appartement above Weasley Wizards Wheezes, what did you expect ?

Mc Gonagall is half mad half proud of their pranks. It is after all the third generation of “Marauders”.

He is half-black, with brown curly hair and freakles.

Roxane is NOT Fred’s twin. But they are less than a year appart so they are very close.

She is always here for a good joke too. Her speciality is more revenge.

You hurt her friend/family? Wait a little. What comes around, goes around.

She is a Quidditch player since her second year. She loves it and want to be a professional.

She is half-black, with curly reddish-brown hair, blue eyes and freakles.

Gryffindor

Ron and Hermione’s children

Rose is BRILLANT. Really. First of her class in every class.

But don’t think she is just a new version of her mum. Because all her personality is Ron.

She has hot-blood, always jumping to defend friends. Sarcasm is life.

Her and Ron are spending evenings playing chess. She is the only one able to beat him.

She has curly red hair with brown eyes and freakles. A lot.

The Sorting Hat almost send her to Ravenclaw but she finally ended in Gryffindor.

She is always hanging out with Albus and Scorpius.

Hugo is less into school and grades. He is not a bad student at all, he just doesn’t care that much. He is this kind of effortless good student/procrastinator.

He loves Quidditch. He is a keeper.

Hugo’s best friend is her cousin Lily. They tell each other everything.

He has curly auburn hair with brown eyes and freakles

People says it comes from his grandfather but he knows. He heard the “no need to call me Sir Professor” story

He is not a bad kid. He loves is family.

He is always here to help a lost 1st year.

He is the Gryffindor Quidditch Team’s Seeker

He had dark brown messy hair and hazel eyes, with glasses and freakles.

Albus usually goes by Al. His name is to much to carry.

He is the quietest Potter kid.

But also a Sarcastic Little Bitch. It is even better from Albus because you don’t see it coming.

His best friend is Scorpius Malfoy. That actually truly helped the rehabilitation of the Malfoy family “oh look that Potter kid is hanging out with a Malfoy. They’re probably not that bad anymore”.

His favorite cousin is Rose. The are the same age and grew up together.

He is a Slytherin. Everybody was shocked, but not Harry

He is in the Seeker in the Slytherin Quidditch team

He has black messy hair and green eyes. Thanks god he doesn’t need glasses or he would be his dad double.

Lily is kind of a mini Ginny.

She is a tomboy (growing up with Teddy, James and Albus) and loves Quidditch. She is a chaser in the Gryffindor team

Fear her when she is angry, it will end bad for you.

But she is a true Daddy’s girl. He is the first person she will talk to when she is upset.

She has red hair (lighter that Rose) with hazel eyes and freakles.

Harry(30)left the wizarding world after a 2 years unhappy marriage with Ginny.They devorced and he moved to Muggle London

got a Job as Cook at Pavatis Squib Cousin Rohan in his all muggle  indian restaurant:Veeraswarmy at Regent Street. Cooking is a passion  Harry loves, even he hated cooking for the Dursleys. Ron and Hermione visit him everyday after their work and catching upon gossip and life. He has a little nice appartment over the restaurant for years now. One day Rohan sends him to the cash register,because someone wanted to compliment him on his delicious food So Harry puts his apron down ,tells amira the other cook to watch the masala chicken inthe oven and goes through the doubledooors. Harry stops ,shocked and  confused he knits his brows together as he sees a beautiful Draco Malfoy standing, open white blonde long hair to the waist in French trench coat and black slacks, Draco greets Sunil the waiter with a warm smile as if he would come in and go out for granted. Suddenly Draco sees Potter,goes all red in the face,wide eyed.

>Potter is that you? Cant believe to meet you here of all the places,You cook here? Harry recovers , annoyed:I didnt know i need your permission to have a job here,i cook herefor the last 6 years,i have a lovely appartment over the restaurant ,but what brings your snobbish pureblood ass to muggle London,in a muggle restaurant? Angry Harry gets right in Dracos face:

Draco tilts his mug of water into Harrys face,starts to shake with rage and shame,and cant stop the tears streaming down his face. Its for the Best ,Harry doesnt know about Dracos ungoing crush since 5th schoolyear.that he admired him in the first place! Blood runs down Dracos nose,as of his lips down his chin and drips on his trembling hands.He drives quieckly with the back o his hand,over the blood.Why must his tendency to nosebleed ,when he gets nervous or really stressed out come to light ,right now? Draco turns ,and storms out of the restaurant to the dark streets,he cant stop crying as he runs How could he just believe that Harry might have heard of his pictures, he put so much effort into it and all his feelings he is now well known Artist, even in the wizarding world. When he finally managed to wrestle with it,apologized to his schoolmates ,first Granger, yeah this was quiet  difficult ,Weasley,Neville ,Luna also Mc Gonagall and Hagrid. not just his repeated most time unanswered letters through the years, Christmas cards and invitations to his art exhibition. He gave Granger a portrait of her own with her reading glasses and a thick book. She smiled and for half an hour sitting in her kitchen drinking tea and  smaltalk. He wonders if Potter knows about the picture,he would love to know he likes it..But he is stil insecure if they and the wirzarding world have  really forgave him. Draco wonders if Potter saw it. Then he gets torn around, Harry holds his arm as he gasps to catch up with Draco. His face pleading —– Let me go scarhead! Let me be!Or i hex your balls off,Potter!

Potter seems to be disturbed and examines Draco’s face, holding a handkerchief out for Draco he takes it,and Potter takes a second one and starts to clean Dracos chin and hands carefully, Harry:Iam sorry ,iam so sorry ,i went to far!he says quietly.“ You look pale, paler than usual, are you sick? Draco:At the times I have little appetite, I sometimes forget to eat. He says softly and tries to avoid Harry’s eyes Please come back to Veerraswarmy I’ll make you my homemade Lassimango and then we can talk by masala chicken, huh, what are you saying?Please > Okay I need probably anyway a drink-back in the restaurant . both go to the back of the restaurant where their more undisturbed, warm candlelight and exotic floral arrangements decorate the round table in the niche, a bit too romantic. Potter now noticed his wet shirt and excuse himself to the  private toilet room ,puts ona  new sweater. Draco smiles. Potter looks really good ,the Bastard must know that, because Harry gives this secret little  smile back to Draco Mabey they could still talk, and it could still be an interesting evening...

-Gin being different from the boys when growing up but didn’t really could point on it

-She never felt the brotherhood and the togetherness with her other brothers and just alone

-she starts catching feelings for Harry at 11 and thinks she’s gay

- gets maken fun of that by Ron who recognizes

-basically spents summers questioning everything, feeling weird and a bit pressured by Fred and George to be cooler (she loves reading stuff on Instagram and quidditch books and often spends all day in her room)

- meets Hermione in Hogwarts one year later

-they have an amazing deep friendship and ginny looks up to Hermione like to the sister she never had

-Mine does notice somethings wrong over the following months

-Ginny gets panic attacks in class, cries at night and seems to be worse then ever

-One night when she wouldn’t stop crying and Ron got annoyed and called Hermione, they comforted each other

-And Ginny confesses that she just feels wrong, not like herself

-And she shows Hermione this trans girl she found on Instagram and how much she feels just like her, that she in fact is a woman

-In the end they cry a lot but happy tears bc Hermione finally sees the Ginny she was all the years inside

Ginny now feeling like she could do everything, gets support from Mc Gonagall to move to the girls dorm and unconditional support ( and a lot of cookies and a quick hug)

She runs a queerzard club for LGBTQ+ wizards at Hogwarts

oooh, please talk to us about who are the hardest/easiest character(s) to write for you?😍☺️

@comaraudery of course I will you absolutely fantastic gem! (I’m presuming you’re talking about we can be heroes??)

I find it easiest to write Sirius and James. They both have aspects of men in my life who I love (my best friends from college and my dad’s over-the-top generosity, lol!) not perfect, but extra-likeable because of the flaws. And in addition to that, writing Sirius is easy because I headcanon him as having some features of borderline personality disorder and disorganised attachment (when your parents are both the person you turn to for help and safety and the cause of your pain/terror? Not good for children at all, poor boy) which explains his stupid decisions such as the Prank and emotion regulation problems a lot?

Maybe I make James too nice at times but I fucking headcanon him as too nice, so tough! And he’s not afraid to express his emotions, which I like because I hate that ridiculous stereotype that’s still out there that somehow making male characters emotional is weird/unacceptable 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ (more in parts of the Wolfstar fandom than in Jily fandom it has to be said, but it’s beyond stupid, and unfortunately people don’t realise it’s an unconscious toxic masculinity thing).

I find it a bit harder to write Remus’ perspective even though his personality is definitely inspired by my husband’s (lol, Mr Blithering is not aware!) but that’s because he’s less predictable. And on the other hand I know if his voice sounds right?

The hardest is Lily because I kind of identify with Lily the most, so it’s harder to be objective, and I really want her to be likeable and also badass, brave and BAMF but also kind? And funny and cheeky as she’s described in canon, and brainy but not Hermione-esque? Which is hard to do, as well as having a bit of a temper at times, but somehow not being a bitch and a grumpy git (or frankly horrible towards James as she is sometimes in fics!!?) - no pressure there so! I do find that people tend to be harsher in their feedback on women in fics than on male characters 🙄🙄🙄🙄....

Is that what you expected?? I enjoy writing Mc Gonagall - of any of the characters I’d aspire to be her! and I feel I have Dumbledore pretty well covered, although sometimes he surprises me by his nastiness!!???! (It gets worse as the story moves on!)
