Bench trio, Wilbur and rocket duo all sitting around a two-seat table to form one big team to win a maths challenge, in which the only prize is a pack of fun sized Haribo's each

Ranboo, the quiet kid who has not said a word all lesson, shouting at Tommy to hurry his ass up and get on the bench during benchball

Techno doing pushups whilst the poor substitute teacher attempts to teach a lesson

Jack setting a pan on fire, successfully scaring the shit out of Niki and getting banned from food tech practicals

Wilbur receiving a very long talk about forgery and fraud, for undisclosed reasons

Bench trio playing just dance in the assembly hall while skipping lessons

Wilbur kicking a football at Jack's nose, Jack only realising at lunch, almost an hour and a half later, that his nose had started bleeding, but he just didn't notice. he only realises from the dried blood

Jack and Niki getting food poisoning from canteen food and only being sent home after Phil threatens to sue on their behalf

Tommy throwing his food at the wall because his hand randomly jerks, and he isn't holding it very well

Techno and Wilbur playing a variety of games at the back such as 21 dares, hang man, noughts and crosses and rock paper scissors

Ranboo leaving bruises on Techno's hands because they were playing slaps* and Ranboo hits harder than a lot of people realise

Phil and Techno playing knuckles** and eventually getting the game banned at school

Phil and Schlatt playing knuckles but with cards instead after the ban

Tommy and Jack throwing pens at each other from opposite corners of the room to see who gets in trouble first

Tubbo being stationed in a science classroom during open evenings since he's a student leader, and getting asked questions that he can't answer

Tommy refusing to sit on his own, away from Tubbo, Ranboo, Jack and Niki, and sitting with them anyway

People paying Phil to do their homework for him, and Phil making a printed and laminated guide to pricing

Crimeboys and Schlatt tripping the fire alarms five times in one week (twice on one day, setting off the second one right after everyone had gone in from lining up outside) before they got caught trying to do it for the sixth time

Wilbur getting covid and accidentally spreading it to the entire school, causing everyone to be doing schoolwork at home for two weeks straight

Tommy carrying Tubbo over his shoulder and walking around casually, whilst Tubbo is in hysterics

Niki giving everyone piggyback rides, including Techno and Schlatt, who are much bigger than her

Schlatt trying to be cool and jumping downstairs and actually just hurting himself

Wilbur jumping down from a stage block during school show rehearsal and dislocating his knee in front of everyone, and having to be carried out by Ranboo, who was the only one that could carry him long enough to get to medical help

Techno and Schlatt giving their teacher a genuine breakdown

Tommy and Tubbo throwing things out of the window to see how long it takes to get caught

Jack and Wilbur throwing balls over the fence in PE, so they have to keep running around and getting it because they don't want to actually do any real exercise

Wilbur's mic breaking during an official school concert

Tubbo regularly falling out of his chair, accompanied by a loud "SHIT!" and laughter from Tommy, until Tubbo kicks his chair leg hard enough to knock him over too

Wilbur and Techno bullying younger years

Phil jumping the fence to the field when they're playing football and the ball is kicked over

Techno, Ranboo and Schlatt being banned from year 7 areas, because they're all scared of them

Niki being the nice, quiet girl until you start talking shit about her friends, then she rips you to shreds with no mercy

Niki is the one person that everyone agrees not to take the piss out of, because they all see her as the nice girl that never really insults anyone

Jack and Tommy booking it down very crowded hallways just for that added bit of chaos

Ranboo and Wilbur wearing the school uniform skirts for a week to help the girls prove that, yes, they are annoying, uncomfortable and very cold in the winter. eventually, they managed to change the rules

Tubbo breaking a ceiling tile

Tommy breaking his nose by walking into a locked door, with the intention of looking cool by just walking straight through like he was invincible

techno and jack getting wilbur to do their day for student receptionist work, meaning he ended up doing it three times

Phil being relatively quiet, but occasionally piping up with the most sarcastic shit

Them all sitting at the same table at break and lunch, but it only has four seats so they run to get the main chairs, and everyone else has to pull chairs around, sit on the windowsill, stand or sit on the table. it's all fun and games until you see nine teenagers run at this one, tiny table, absolutely flooring each other as they do

The group having a spot on the track field where they just sit and chill during the summer, since it's the only time they're allowed on the field at lunch

tommy and techno being very rough with each other, to the point where bones have broken before

Technoblade having not done any english homework up until december, when his teacher gave up and called his parents

*- slaps is essentially a game where you have your hands in the prayer position, but your hands are pointing towards the other person. the first person keeps slapping the second person's hand until they can dodge. When the second person successfully dodges, they swap roles. if you dodge before they move to slap you, they get to slap you and you're not allowed to move.

**- knuckles is where one person puts their fist down so the other person can flick coins at their knuckles. you swap every time, and whoever starts bleeding first loses. it sounds very bad, but it is fun if you're bored in class. cards knuckles is the same, but you get a deck of cards and graze them against the other person's knuckles. not as fun, but it's what we did when knuckles got banned LMAO

(Hunger au) I'm going into ecology and it's fascinating looking at your au's ecosystem, especially since this doesn't necessarily seem driven by natural selection and instead by just. The universe creating what it needs, with a purpose in mind. That's so different from our world that it's fascinating to think about the implications. Rather than existing to take advantage of and respond to resources and selective pressures, theyre basically creating said resources/pressures. The watchers are having to manually adapt to survive after a bottleneck effect, which to be fair even if there was natural selection they'd probably have to cuz adaptation takes a looong time in species with long reproductive cycles. Do they have a genome? Or are they just being arbiters of mutation themselves (by that i mean theres no genome so theyre changing their species themselves since theres nothing to mutate)? Do offspring inherit traits? What does this mean for natural selection (cuz like. If they survive differently depending on how their traits match up to the environment and selective pressures there is)? With the seekers gone are expected to have a population rebound barring any other selective pressures/fitness independent factors on their population? Their reproductive strategy seemingly aligns with the low pressure they're facing... I read a paper to understand this and it's really cool:

They seem to be an r-selected species and invest a lot in their offspring, but they just naturally have low infant survival rates. This is the sort of species that does not do well in the long run so that adds urgency to their efforts to edit themselves.

All this to say that I'm rotating the concept of an ecological system that has one of ecology's core tenants (evolution) heavily altered/removed. Tis fascinating.

I really did want to go like vastly different from how our world works since this is such a video game setting-- it was really fun to noodle about what a universe made out of code instead of DNA would look like!!! and having the universe be quasi-sentient, affected by a form of evolution itself as well (thank you julien gough for the universe evolution theory that i have wholeheartedly adopted into my worldview).... idk its led to some very interesting worldbuilding for sure 😂😂😂

Watchers-- or any entity in this universe, actually-- dont really have a genome like we'd understand it. Instead, theyre made up of code and code blocks, which i guess would sorta mimic that to a certain degree, but its more tipped in favour of computer programming than biology. The whole au sorta just wholesale marries the two together, along with physics and chemistry (i am currently percolating on how crafting works in this au rn and my current idea involves the concept of the crafting table acting somewhat like a catalyst, which. okay dont take that as gospel yet i havent fully cooked on that one) etc etc etc.

But the Watchers did intentionally change their coding to help defend against the Seekers when they were being hunted into extinction!!! Watchers already had a natural affinity for deep coding, so while it took a lot of effort and caused a lot of damage to themselves, they managed to rapidly change their code structure (aka this universe's version of genetic makeup) to get better at, well. Watching. Seeing the Seekers coming far enough in advance to run before they got there became their primary defense against getting voraciously hunted, and by the end of it the Seekers starved out and went extinct bc they'd gotten so adept at avoiding them.

Offspring is interesting because in my mind at their base level (so genetically/code structurally speaking), Watchers are identical clones of each other. They reproduce asexually-- think uhhh mourning geckos and some species of aphids, which reproduce via parthenogenesis. So yes, in a sense they do inherit traits, but its in a direct line from the parent as a genetic copy. Their memory codes and surface code layers are what differentiate themselves from each other

Reading this chart is so interesting.... i'd say you're right in that Watchers would be considered an r-selected species!! I think if they werent like. Essentially made out of tissue paper thats constantly getting damaged and having to be repaired, they would be able to bounce back to the point of population rebound for sure. The problem with that though is there are only about 40 Watchers left-- thats how bad and out of control the situation got. And since they have such a long reproductive cycle, and such a high infant mortality rate, and their experiment with Grian went so wrong, AND the universe formed Listeners to replace them via direct competition (Watchers cant feed from Listener-infected Players!!), they are unfortunately headed right for extinction too.

Hopefully this makes a modicum of sense and isnt just me totally talking out of my ass wkdnjedjkejdke but i hope this answered most of your questions!!! Im really glad you like the direction ive taken this, its a lot of fun to conceptualize a world that works on different rules than our own :]

rainduo's relationship is also very important because niki is like. the very first person wilbur had a close relationship with that wasn't his little brother or that he wasn't romantically involved with

this sounds like a very convoluted way to say she was his first friend BUT LIKE it's not really that because he's Had friends. he was sortof friends frenemies lovers rivals with quackity. tommy's his lifelong best friend. but all those have strings attached in a sense- with quackity it's obviously just very complicated, and he holds a lot of guilt and also a bit of resentment towards tommy for a bunch of reasons, despite how much he loves them both.

and this is not to say his friendship with niki was always smooth-sailing either, they've argued a lot and for a while she decided to completely step away from him (because she got sick of constantly getting caught in shrapnel from his self-destructive tendencies and constantly being pushed away) but they eventually grew back together and she forgave him.

but my Point is that having a relationship that was strictly a friendship, that didn't have those expectations like romantic love or family (especially family who's in your care like tommy) was Vital for wilbur. and they're there for each other in a lot of ways that others can't.

for niki, wilbur's someone who's always willing to hear her out and treat her normally, that means teasing her and annoying the shit out of her because he's an ass, but never treating her like she's fragile. and he always listens to her and that's the thing she wants the most, really, to feel like someone's actually interested in her and her goals and interests beyond just someone who's nice and sweet.

and for wilbur, niki is someone who's always able and willing to call out his bullshit but who never judges him. she's kind of a guiding force in a way, because she's got her head on her shoulders much more than he does, and she's obviously a very kind person. and he admires her a lot for that because she's also been through some shit, and yet she's still kind, not just to him but to everyone

New Life Modern/High School AU

Where Shulk!Sparrow is partially blind with a service dog named Bruno that helps him navigate

If it's a high school au that Sparrow is the transfer student (either as a high academic sent to a fancy school for a better learning opportunity or parents sent them to a new school after being bullied and harassed for their sight issues)

He also has an orange tabby cat named Tang that is very loud and has a bell on their collar so it's owner always knows where they are

Another idea is that Sparrow's parents are sort of absent. Used to have a caretaker take care of Sparrow until they deemed him 'old enough' and fired the caretaker. The parents have that mentality of "well we just don't know enough to care for them correctly,". Sparrows parents care but are far too unsure of how to be a parent to a disabled kid so they end up being far too hands off

Dream SMP High School Drama AU POG?!?!?!

Background idea:

Dream Team are like,,,, the student council for a high school in Utah (yes, Utah), and basically, Tommy comes and causes havoc, Dream steals his discs, and suspends him for causing a bit too much trouble, and there's a full blown school war when Tommy gets outta fuckin' suspension (school wars = multiple food fights + fucking tryna kill eachother at dances + rap battle shit)

Tommy then wins the war via winning a game of uno and trading his tamagotchi for the discs with Dream, Wilbur wanted to monopolize selling literal water bottles here (Drug empire shit), L'manberg arc is basically trying to overthrow the dteam student council, the final control room was Eret starting off a food fight, the Tommy and Dream duel was them fighting with Pokémon cards.

After Tommy lost and gave the discs to dteam, they decided to make L'manberg the new student council, which made Wilbur president and everything was well and dandy until election arc comes.

Election arc was just fuckin everyone running for student council president, Quackity and Schlatt still did the merging votes thing and they won, but Schlatt was overall a worse president than Wilbur.

Festival happened, but Tubbo was basically just beaten up by Techno (dw the nurse did everything, also Techno didn't get suspended or some shit).

Pogtopia was basically Pogtopia, Wilbur goes insane over just a couple school drama (Tommy tries to tell him it was just petty school drama), but yeah, a final school war goes on and Techno summoning wither skulls was just them fighting shit in Minecraft.

Wilbur prepared ACTUAL FUCKING explosives (yes, he is basically J.D here), Phil appears, he pushes the button anyways, and the entire cafeteria was just imploded (dw no one was hurt).

Wilbur actually voluntarily gets suspended from school grounds indefinetly, this spreads all over the news and gets named the "POGTOPIA INCIDENT OF 2020"

Wilbur, George, Techno, Phil, Callahan, and Alyssa all graduate school.

Season 2 timeeeeee

Afterwards, everyone then makes Tubbo school president, making New L'manberg, Ghostbur = Wilbur sending letters from college, since he graduated in season 1.

The entire exile incident was Tommy tearing George's notebook + stealing some of George's stuff + committing a bit of arson with Ranboo (he just transferred here) and Tubbo suspends Tommy indefinetly and Dream is assigned to keep an eye on him.

While Tommy was in exile, Technoblade's execution was the butcher army beating him up, Techno scars Quackity, yadayadayada. (ALSO ALL THIS HAPPENED IN TECHNO'S APARTMENT)

In "exile", Dream hits Tommy with the manipulation a bit TOO hard and Tommy attempts suuui... ummmmm unaliving himself... yeah, unaliving himself, turns out, he survives the entire fucking thing.

Doomsday happened, and ACTUAL explosives were rigged again (yes, everyone is still under 21, so it's fuckin' illegal), and both the cafeteria and school hall were blown up, no one was hurt still, and everyone involved with Doomsday were college students except for Dream, so, no one got suspended or got detention.

The disc confrontation was basically everyone in the school hall tryna suspend Dream from school grounds so uhhhh, that worked I guess...

Dream, Sapnap, Bad, Skeppy, Ant, Punz, H, Quackity, and Foolish all graduate school.

Friends to lovers. Both youtubers support it. The song “Heat Waves” by the Glass Animals skyrocketed in popularity due to this fic. Ao3 denies that updates to this fic made the site crash, but the rumors are rampant.

To Scale the Blue Sky (Hamilton) - HIVLiving’s Hamilton high school AU about the AIDS crisis.  HIVLiving ended up admitting to lying about being an HIV-positive non-binary lesbian human-trafficking survivor - an identity made up to lend ethos to the Hamilton fanfic.  Now largely lost and deleted.

MCYT Yuri Week Day 2 - AU

Look. Pearl loves her friends, she really does. But they can be… a lot, sometimes. Which is great! She’s a lot too! She revels in causing chaos with them, most of the time. 

But when they all sleep over at Jimmy’s, Pearl always takes the opportunity to… get to know Lizzie a little better. 

Their excuses have been flimsy at best from the beginning, really. Jimmy and Lizzie’s mom is rarely home, which is why they chose their place to start off with. Even if she happened to not be working, she wouldn’t care one bit if Pearl slept in Jimmy’s room with everyone else. Luckily, Pearl’s friends are also as unobservant as they are chaotic, so she usually gets away with it anyways. 

However they got there, Pearl is sitting in Lizzie’s room, on top of her fluffy pink bedspread, legs crossed, leaning forward transfixed as Lizzie talks about… something. She’s not sure exactly what. She’s a little distracted by the way Lizzie brushes her long, asymmetrical bangs out of her face when they get in her way. Her hair looks soft. Pearl wants to run her fingers through it, in a totally normal, friend way. 

Lizzie giggles.

“Pearl! You haven’t heard a word I’ve been saying, have you?” Pearl blushes, quickly tries to recover, to regain her cool. What cool she had, at least.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

“Clearly!”

“Hey!” Pearl squawks, giggling. Lizzie giggles along with her. 

“It doesn’t matter. Do you want to see something cool I found?” She says in a stage whisper, eyes glittering. Pearl nods eagerly. She’d go anywhere with Lizzie. Even if it was… she doesn’t know, to look at a rock or something. Point is, the adventure is just a nice bonus. 

And it looks like there will be adventure, because Lizzie is putting on her shoes, real shoes, not slippers, and shrugging a jacket over her tank top, gesturing to Pearl to follow suit. 

“Where are we going?” Pearl asks, pulling on her Uggs and curiously looking up at Lizzie. Lizzie puts a finger to Pearl’s lips. Pearl blushes furiously. 

“It’s a surprise.” Lizzie whispers, louder than her speaking voice in her excitement, grabbing Pearl’s hand and pulling her up to a standing position, bouncing around, beaming. It’s infectious, and Pearl smiles too, giggling as Lizzie pulls her down the stairs and out the door. 

Lizzie barely shivers in the cold November night air, which is baffling to Pearl’s Australian self. She’s trembling barely five minutes into the walk, Lizzie pulling her down a winding street towards the high school. 

“Please don’t tell me we’re going to school right now, Lizzie.” Pearl deadpans, wrapping her light, too light, jacket closer around herself. “It’s like three in the morning.”

“No, silly.” Lizzie responds, laughing at her shivering. “It’s past the school.”

“Lizzie, the only things past the school are another school and the nature reserve.” Lizzie winks.

“Are we going to the nature reserve at three in the morning? It’s closed!” 

“It’s only closed if we get caught!” Lizzie responds cheerfully. Suddenly, the night feels even colder to Pearl. 

Sure enough, still dragging Pearl by the hand, the only point of warmth left in her body at this point, Lizzie leads Pearl into the nature reserve, at first down one of the paved paths, but quickly noting a side path into the trees and taking it. Pearl is hopelessly lost within minutes. She desperately hopes Lizzie knows where she’s going, and how to get back. 

Finally, after some precarious paths worn only by other hikers, they reach… a giant rock. 

Pearl looks at Lizzie.

“I don’t get it.”

“On top of the rock! Come on,” Lizzie says, making her way easily through the dark of the wilderness, clambering up onto the flat top of the rock, and turning to face the direction of what she wanted to show Pearl, and oh. 

It’s gorgeous. 

From the top of the rock, through a break in the trees, a lake is visible. Shining in the moonlight, everything quiet and still around them. Pearl takes in a sharp breath. 

“Oh, Lizzie. It’s beautiful.”

“Isn’t it? I found it a while ago after school, and I knew I had to see it at night. Look at the moon, Pearl!” Her voice is hushed, but practically buzzing with excitement, hands flapping as she shares this private, beautiful thing she found with Pearl.

Pearl feels more special than she’s ever felt in her life. Lizzie chose her to share this with. Lizzie, who could have chosen anyone, not just one of her little brother’s weird friends. Lizzie, at least for something, wants her. 

Unfortunately, ruining the moment a bit, Pearl also feels more cold than she’s ever felt in her life. She didn’t know people’s teeth actually chattered, not just in movies, but here she is. 

This time, though, not just preoccupied by finding the way to this place, Lizzie notices.

“Pearl, you’re shivering! Come here.” She opens her arms, scoots closer to Pearl, and Pearl gladly accepts her embrace. Definitely just because she’s cold. Zero ulterior motives here, no sirree. Tucked into Lizzie’s arm, Pearl blushes bright red, thankful for the dark of the night to cover it. 

“It’s my Australian blood! I’m not built for the cold.”

“Haven’t you lived here for like… ten years?”

“Still! Can’t help my blood. I need to be in the sun. Like a lizard.” Lizzie giggles at her, and it warms her heart even further. 

“Well, I hope the view was worth you freezing to death.”

“Hmm… we’ll see when I can feel my fingers again.” Lizzie pouts dramatically. “I kid, I kid! It was worth it. I’m glad you were willing to share it with me.”

“Of course I was. I like you, Pearl. You’re not just Jimmy’s friend, I’m not letting him keep you all to himself. Big sister tax.” Pearl blushes.

“That’s… really sweet. Thank you.” Suddenly, she’s looking into Lizzie’s eyes, through her long pink bangs, and Lizzie’s looking back at her, and nothing else in the world seems real. It could just be the two of them, in their own little universe, and Pearl starts to lean in, slowly, in case she’s misreading the situation, but no, Lizzie’s leaning in too, and finally, finally, after months of each others’ embraces and looking looks, Pearl’s lips meet Lizzie’s. 

Or at least, they should. 

It doesn’t quite go like that.

Instead of their lips finally, finally meeting in the kiss they’d both been yearning for for months, Pearl’s cursed body catches up to her, and suddenly, she’s just an inch too far to the left, and awkwardly crashes into Lizzie’s cheek. 

Pearl puts her head in her hands, and makes a strangled little noise.

“I’m so sorry, that was so embarrassing, oh my days!” Lizzie giggles.

“It’s okay, Pearl! We can try again.”

“That’s going to be my first kiss forever! Whenever anyone asks about my first kiss, I’m going to have to tell them that I missed!” Lizzie gently lifts her head up, cups her cheek, and brushes her hair to the side. She whispers, “I won’t tell anyone.” and leans in for a redo. 

Pearl hasn’t kissed anyone before, so she doesn’t really know what she’s doing, but neither does Lizzie. It’s clumsy, it’s a little awkward, and when they pull away they’re both giggling, but Pearl wouldn’t have it any other way. She just kissed Lizzie. She’s not sure what to do with herself now. 

They look at each other, a little breathless, and Pearl breaks the silence by shivering again, her breath appearing in front of her in a mist.

“We should get you back inside. And get back before anyone notices we’re gone.” Lizzie whispers. Pearl understands the feeling. It feels wrong to speak aloud right now, like the moment would break, and Pearl would go back to being a regular girl, not someone that just kissed Lizzie. So, instead of responding, she just nods, and they climb back down from their spot, and set off.

In the morning, BigB has a sparkle in his eyes like he knows exactly what Pearl did last night. When she catches him alone in the hallway, Grian, Martyn, and Jimmy thoroughly distracted by their somewhat disastrous attempt at making pancakes, he simply says congratulations, with an innocent little smile on his face, that makes it 100% clear that, somehow, he does in fact know. Pearl doesn’t even want to know how he knows. Who knows where BigB finds out anything, honestly. She still makes him swear to secrecy, though. If Jimmy finds out, she’ll never hear the end of it.

Ok ok my fun facts about Jizzie for my fic: you drew hearts around my scars (please go read it)

Lizzie’s parents are split, she shares a mom with jimmy. I don’t think I’ll touch much on Joel’s backstory in this story so I’ll explain a bit more for him. His parents are very religious and expect him to be as well. He was pretty neglected as a kid, so he ended up very independent, he comes home for holidays and that’s about it. He keeps in contact because his parents pay for college.

Their whole friend group (minus scar who joined during college) has gone to the same school pretty much their whole lives. They all grew up together in close neighborhoods.

In their senior year of high school Lizzie and Joel got together with everyone’s encouragement. By the time the story starts they’ve been dating around 3 years. Joel is practically another brother to Jimmy.

Jimmy, fwhip, and tango + Scott and Martyn are only ones left as of now. If I get really motivated I’ll do Bigb and Ren, or Etho and Bdubs. It help if someone really wanted me to add more of them to the story, as I’m not really motivated to write them right now.
