Ohh. Chuck never wrote Gabriel into the books.
It makes sense to assume that the Trickster is written into the in-universe supernatural books since Tall Tales and Mystery Spot exist. But Gabriel? We know that he's already taken the liberty of omitting Sam's demon blood arc so why wouldn't he doctor other details to fit his narrative?
Gabriel as the Trickster (pre-s5 reveal) notably doesn't take the spotlight for himself. He pulls the strings and lets his victims put on a show. In 2x15 he literally sits in the auditorium watching the stage. The same way that the Trickster feels comfortable fading into the background, the character "Gabriel" only really exists within the periphery of the narrative up until his reveal in 5x8. The moment he does take center stage by confronting Lucifer, he gets excised from the narrative (which I do 100% believe he knew was inevitable whether he faked his death or not). This is the show telling us loud and clear that Gabriel as Gabriel cannot exist as a character who takes the spotlight because this story is not about him.
And that's why Chuck didn't write him into the books. Gabriel was never meant to be there so Chuck just went ahead and pretended he never was. If Gabriel had been written into the books, he would have been included in the girls' show in 10x5 which couldn't have happened because it doesn't make narrative sense for the character Gabriel to appear on a stage for an audience.
And why would those girls care about a random trickster anyway?

Okay I really enjoyed Tottmnt, I hope for another season, but did anyone else feel off anytime they mentioned/referenced real life things from celebrities, shows, movies, memes, etc.
Like it felt out of place and would always catch me off guard when things like Donnie mentioning going on Wikipedia or using Google, celebrities like Drake, Beyonce, and Jay-Z getting mentioned, or talking about movies and shows like Star Wars, Star Trek, and Friends, would happen.

i think women in media need to start describing the men they're in love with as "beautiful" more often. like way more often. i'm not kidding. it's not a gendered word. there's no way that society is going to give up the idea that it is anytime soon, but wow i want to tell men that they're beautiful. i think it would be good for society to see that on the tv.

my "chuck won" brain vibrating out of my skull when i think about dean being the one to give john the letter and why he would be trying to change the past if he's supposed to be "happy in heaven"... WHAT IS GOING ON

One thing I love about Midam is how insignificant it is to the overall story. Since Chuck wasn’t writing what happened in the cage Michael and Adam loved each other by their own free will!! It was never supposed to happen. Chuck wrote Adam as a throwaway character yet he convinces Chuck’s MOST LOYAL SON into betraying him!
He’s just some nobody from Minnesota but Michael was ready to throw away his entire past for him :((

I know it’s been said but I can’t stop thinking about chuck saying his next book is “a little Vonnegut” in 4x18 and dean going “slaughterhouse five Vonnegut or cat’s cradle Vonnegut?”
like imagine you write two dozen paperbacks about Dean Fucking Winchester of all people and then he hits you with “oh you mean the war ptsd one or the daddy issues one?” what do you even say to that. how do you respond with a straight face.

"SAM IS LUCIFER'S TRUE VESSEL BECAUSE HE WENT AGAINST HIS FATHER" THIS. SAM IS LUCIFER'S TRUE VESSEL BECAUSE HE WAS THE YOUNGER BROTHER OF A FAR MORE 'DEVOUT' BROTHER" THAT. NO. sam winchester is lucifer’s true vessel because of how much he truly, honestly, believed in god and christianity growing up. how god was one of the only things that sam could lean on during his troubled childhood, only for him to find out what god is truly like. to have to fight on the opposite side of the angels he once prayed to. to see god’s flaws so up close that sam had to aid in the death of him. much like how lucifer loved god dearly, was the favorite son, until he looked closer. until he started questioning god, instead of having pure faith. THATS why sam winchester is lucifer’s true vessel.
