Hello, all!

I’m 20 and I have been roleplaying for years. Roleplaying to me is creating a story that has endless possibilities. I write best in MxF romances as the F role, and prefer writing with other women for the most part. You must be 18+ to interact, preferably 19+. I write literate, advanced literate, to novella! Yet, quality over quantity, and length can be adjusted depending on the situation (i.e. back and forth dialogue).

My favorite genres are historical. Medieval (fantasy preferred but not required) has my heart, yet I also find I enjoy a viking or pirate setting very much if not equally. The best stories have romance in them, angst and drama only bettering it! I also have a sweet spot for the characters eventually coming to have children together.

I love all sorts of different subplots, but there are things you must know:

1) I do not want to be the only one writing this story. Please, share your ideas! Throw in twists and turns!

2) I love ooc talk. I will happily gush with you about these characters.

3) I will get responses to you as soon as I can!

4) IF I use faceclaims, they will be realistic, or anything that is not anime. I ask that you do not either.

5) I prefer a cleaner roleplay! Reach out to learn more!

If you would like to do a fandom roleplay, I strictly write with OCs. I am not familiar with many fandoms, but if you would like to write in one as a character, it will have to be with the understanding that mine would have no knowledge of the world and must be from a foreign land (or from modern times, as cliche as that is).

Hello!

I had an idea for a rp that has become my hyperfixation. It would be a medieval fantasy world, magic, swords, the whole nine yards. The king of the kingdom is a cruel man and everyone assumes that the prince is cut from the same fabric. Yet the son is sort of a puppet to the father, not allowed to talk to anyone at events and kept from voicing any opinions of his own. The prince, however, is nothing like his father, gentle and kind hearted, doing the best he can. There is a huge rebellion that is starting to grow to take down the Crown and it is gaining momentum in recent months as winter comes and the people starve.

This idea has two possible plots:

Things get desperate enough that the rebellion takes a risk and attacks the castle, kidnapping the prince to pressure the king to provide for his people. Yet when they actually meet the guy he is actually smart and kind, nothing at all like his father.

OR

There are binding sigils where one person is cursed with some horrible fate that can only be saved by a random person nearby at the time of the cursing with the matching sigil. This is really finicky magic and doesn't always hit the right target. For this one it would be that someone tries to curse the Prince or the King at a feast and someone around them that is secretly a spy for the rebellion gets hit instead and the prince gets the matching sigil. I am thinking something like one that suffocates the target and can only be reversed by being given a breath by the one with the matching sigil. The Prince goes against his father and just social status to save the rebel.

I am looking to play the prince against any character that someone wants to make in this world! I am 18+ so please no minors and note that I do not do smut at all. I rp solely on Discord and am looking for an active partner to build this world with me!

As for today’s post, here’s an extract from the lore of the Thiber Imperium, one of our five great kingdoms. Many canon characters will be involved in this nation, including the noble families mentioned below. Stay tuned for more lore tomorrow and in the coming days!

The Thiber Imperium is the oldest civilization in the world of Domhan na Bhfear. Taking its name from their greatest general and the first Emperor, Thiber Larius, the Imperium once ruled over the entirety of the known lands. Under the aegis of the Thiberians and their mighty Legions, the world was saved from the Black Host during the wars known as the First and Second Infernal Claims of 1E 990 and 2E 860. The vast armies of demons and human cultists devoted to the evil goddess Ryia, the Empress of Hell, were vanquished, but not without the ultimate price to pay. Taking advantage of the Imperium’s severely weakened state at the end of the Second Infernal Claim, would-be kings rose in rebellion against the Thiberian overlords and declared their freedom in the Great Uprising. The remaining Legions fought bravely until it was clear that the days of the glorious empire were at an end. The realization of being forced to fight on multiple fronts with limited manpower, led the Emperor at the time, Larenal Larius, to sign a treaty that recognized the new royal houses and granted them the freedom they sought, allowing them to rule over the provinces that once belonged to the Imperium.

With the Imperium shrunk back to its original territory, the glory and power of yore are lost. After over a millennium and a half of blessed rule under the Larius dynasty, a new family sits on the throne: the Corvinus. They are known to be skilled in matters of war, diplomacy, and trade. They greatly value balance in all things, believing that the foundation of a great nation has to equally favor a strong military, a prosperous economy, and welfare for all the citizens of the Imperium. Adratos Corvinus is the current Emperor and he doesn’t lack talent and ambition. His plans to rival Thiber Larius himself and restore the Imperium to its former glory have been halted by the coming of the Shroud. Adratos’ reign is still short-lived, but even he knows that there is no glory to be had if the toxic fog threatening to engulf the world isn’t stopped. 

Serving as the Corvinus’ primary vassal, House Larian is the second-most prominent family of the Imperium. They have a claim over the Duchy of West Weald, which spans one-third of the nation’s current territory. They are known to be skilled swordsmen who greatly value their military traditions. Some of the best military commanders in the history of the Imperium belonged to House Larian, and even now, the firstborn and heir to the House, - - - Larian (canon character) serves as the Legatus Maximus, the overall general in charge of all the Imperium’s legions. Their seat of power is Arentum, a city by the Gray Mountains blessed with close-at-hand, rich deposits of iron and other practical metals.

Among the Counts of the realm, House Atreia has emerged as a cunning family that commands an impressive network of spies and skilled retainers. The Corvinus heavily leans on them for their expertise in all matters of subterfuge. In addition to her duties as a countess - - - Atreia (canon character) serves at the royal court as the Spymaster of the realm. It is rumored that the family maintains ties to the Wraiths, the infamous guild of assassins, but such notions remain unfounded. House Atreia has a claim over the rich County of Red River, within the territory of House Larian, which makes them a direct vassal to the Duchy of West Weald.

The Barony of Picenum, taking its name from the namesake seaside city, controls the most important port in the Imperium. House Edherius is at the head of the city and its surrounding territory, making them one of the richest families in the Imperium. With Picenum located within the County of Red River, House Edherius serves as the vassal of House Atreia. Much of the trade and wealth of the nation flows through Picenum and its large port; taking advantage of their city’s strategic location, House Edherius prides itself on its impressive fleet of merchant ships. They are blessed traders with contacts and agreements all over the world, transporting and selling goods from the Imperium. - - - Edherius (canon character) is the family’s current patriarch and the Baron of Picenum.

The flakes flattened beneath the soles of the creature, strolling leisurely through the white lands as its rider scanned her surroundings, looking for the object of her travel. Hardly any skin was uncovered, the only opening being the parting of fabrics to reveal a sharp jade gaze. The wrap about her head flowed beyond her shoulders to her bosom, a filtered puff of condensation leaving the dark emerald cloth, cuing her slow breath, unlabored and undisturbing to the slumbering surroundings. Held in a navy coat, fastened by leather strings and wooden buttons, it did what it could to preserve and hold what body heat was produced from her form.

The beast she rode was common amongst the South, called the Loda, a yak-like beast with thick, yet silken furs. The coat was perfect for the lining of a winter frock, as the South could freeze any over. To be unprepared for the snow storms was to be prepared to die, yet all Loda seemed entirely unperturbed by it, shedding their hairs after the season to not exhaust themselves with heat in the warm moons. Antlered and sturdy, they were the perfect riding companion, prepared to knock away predators and near incapable of being grounded themselves. The one she rode was not particularly old, leaning on the younger side, nearing its prime, yet adequately trained as the sometimes temperamental species could be.

It stiffened beneath Ahansi, the loda’s breath shifting pace against her straddling legs, dark eyes flicking. A hand reached from the reins the elf had previously held, patting the tensed shoulder, stroking placatingly as she urged the creature on with a gentle heel, the animal continuing at a slower pace, when only thirty seconds later, it halted and huffed once more.

Ahansi’s head snapped to the side, catching sight of a figure within the periphery of her vision, her mount shifting its position in a circle, equally spooked. Flicking away the tail of her coat, a blade was pulled from a brace upon her thigh, prepared as she whipped around, taking her loda forwards and beginning to near the valley. Snow filled the air as dust, clouding her vision and forcing her to rely upon her steed, every muscle within her body tensed. Slowly, she could make out a dark figure beyond. Hulking, towering, overall massive, and her jades narrowed.

“You are within Octun land!” She called loudly, every word pronounced with perfection. “You have crossed your boundary; I advise you to return! They say a storm brews; return to your shelter!”

All that is established is that two peoples (clans, species, etc.) have a strained relationship, thus are territorial. The rest of the details can be worked out together.

I get hating certain political systems and trying to abolish totalitarian regimes but at the same time many of them are so interwoven with our history and society they have become tropes and when I consume media with a setting where the monarchy is absolute and revered then I am playing my part and sucking that princeling off
