I have more fma/mob psycho thoughts I forgot to add to the masterpost, this time about psychic specialties

I think ed is probably like teru in that he tends to pick up new techniques pretty quickly and knows how to do a lot of different things with his powers, but he mostly sticks to telekinesis because that's what he knows best

al was the same way, but as a spirit he's got some other abilities. he mostly does poltergeist kinda stuff

once ling starts getting a better handle on his powers, I feel like he'd specialize in something like tsuchiya's hardening qigong. greed definitely helps with this

mei is one of the few espers with healing abilities, and she also is proficient in telekinesis. we don't know much about takeuchi's super qigong, but based on what little we've seen, that seems most comparable to her ranged alkahestry, so she likely can do that too! she also seems like she'd be good with spirits

LMK S4 THEORY TIME

So I was thinking about the box art that came out recently and thought of something we might see in season 4, involving Mei, the Samadhi fire, and her love for the game Monkey Mech.

Inspired by this thread by colesmonkies on Twitter!

The thread above talks about how season 4 might take place inside a video game, specifically Monkey Mech, or maybe even the unnamed game that Wukong made from S2E6 "Game on". This theory is supported by the fact that Monkey Mech has been a big part of the show since the very first episode, and that it inspired MK's physical monkey mech power - which is the sole thing that separates him from Monkey King as his successor.

This journey into the game (instead of actually traveling to the past) would help tell the story of Monkey King's adventures that were never covered in Journey to the west, like his relationship with Macaque. Because let's be honest, that monkey would never talk about his past problems out of his own free will, especially not that part of his life.

Some people have pointed out that it was suspicious how MK's arcade machine was highlighted next to MK's staff and the scroll in the end scene. We know the latter is definitely going to be important in season 4, and we know Pigsy removed the game from his store when it kept distracting MK from his work too much.

So why does Wukong have it? Did he just want to have the game for himself to play? Or maybe there's something special about it? And most importantly, how would they get INTO the game in the first place?

Mei has a big role in MK's Monkey Mech obsession. It's also her favorite game and she's an expert at it, easily beating him (or anyone else, really) every time they compete against each other.

Very early in the series, in S1E3 "Coming home", she reveals a bit about her childhood, her personal life and her family, and obtains her dragon sword. She has grown a lot since then, going through character development comparable to that of MK himself and other major characters.

In S3E6 "The first ring" she is shown to be able to create, or at least modify, other vehicles and transform them into her own, very much like MK's physical monkey mech. She does this by plugging her dragon sword into it like some sort of overpowered USB stick. This particular vehicle is white gold and blue instead of her usual green, the same color scheme as her Monkey mech horse character (and her outfit on the new box art).

Also why did Red son have an input specifically for Mei's dragon sword in his car? I could go on about this but that's a topic for another post

Mei is insanely powerful even without the sword, or her dragon powers. She has created a fully stocked futuristic secret base, owns multiple personalised motorbikes, put a totally-not-creepy digital tracking system on all of her friends, and probably much more i forgot about while writing this post. She is a massive tech nerd much like Red son, the previous holder of the Samadhi fire.

Thanks to him, Mei has now learned to make the fire her own. This is a huge development, something i assume they won't just gloss over in season 4. I fully expect to see more of her abilities now that she has the fire under her control, especially combined with her dragon powers. We've only seen a snippet of what she can do with it (Including nearly cooking MK alive on like... three separate occasions).

I was watching the season 3 specials again, and one thing Red son said stuck out to me:

The samadhi fire is more than just an inextinguishable flame. It's an interdimensional weapon, with the destructive power to burn through the very fabric of reality."

Season 3 put emphasis on the fact that the fire could destroy reality. But what if through some training, the fire could also modify it, BEND it? We know Mei can teleport now, so it wouldn't be too far fetched to assume she could use this INTERDIMENSIONAL weapon to travel between realities.

We've seen that Mei can plug her sword into things to give them a "power up". So what i think might happens is that she will use it on the Monkey Mech arcade machine, and using the samadhi fire's interdimensional abilities, somehow transport herself and her friends into the reality of the game where (a big part of) season 4 will take place. She will need to leave her sword plugged in while being in there, which could explain why she doesn't have it with her in the box art.

TLDR: My theory is that the plot of season 4 will be about Mei plugging her dragon sword into the Monkey mech arcade machine, and transporting herself and her friends into the game thanks to her new samadhi fire powers.

I don't really have an idea for why they would enter the game and how the scroll could to this. Maybe they just wanted some fun, or it was an accident? Either way, they would need to find a way to get out back to their own reality, either by finishing the game or with help from outside. (Red son on Guanyin? Flying Bark? pls?)

EDIT 3/12/2022: MORE THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS BECAUSE MORE SETS CAME OUT!

The man antagonists of the new sets are the yellow tusk elephant, azure lion and golden-winged eagle which are minor characters in Journey to the West. The Rhino king was a character from JTTW that made a cameo in Wukong's game in S2E6, so it's likely that these three new animal-based characters will have a similar antagonistic role.

But what stood out to me are their sidekicks, called "ink demons". These demons are original characters, never appearing in JTTW. @/sonofwu on twitter pointed out that heir names imply that there's a possibility our main cast will dive into the world of a book (the scroll from S3E14?) instead of a video game, or that the characters in the book come alive into the real world of Monkie kid.

Since Mei gets a lot of focus in the sets, and her and MK being the only ones not as their past selves unlike Pigsy, Sandy and Tang, I believe there's still a possibility of her using her sword to take MK and herself into this dimension (either into the book or the game) instead of traveling to the past.

Something that stood out to me as well was the backgrounds for these sets, which appear very similar to the scenery in Wukong's game from S2E6. This could support the theory that they'll travel into this game instead of Monkey Mech.

In one set, MK, Mei, and the original versions of Pigsy and Sandy are shown to be vendors of some kind of stores (for example, Mei being a blacksmith). Maybe this implies that they'll take part in the game as NPC's too, like how the original Tang did in Wukong's game.

Also, you know how I said Pigsy, Sandy and Tang looked like their past selves in these sets? They also have VERY similar outfits to their game counterparts! I wonder if this means anything....

Undead Unluck Week Day 2: Favorite Scene / Moment

Now this is a hard one for me to choose...! 😅 There are too many moments / scenes that I love from this series that I can't just choose one... So, I think I'm gonna do a top 5 of some of my favorite moments / scenes in no particular order! 😁 And since there's obviously gonna be spoilers, I'm gonna put a warning here like I do when I talk about the newest chapters of Spy X Family...!: 😉

*Anime only watchers and people who aren't caught up with the Manga, BEWARE... Cuz I'm about to discuss a bunch of spoilers for Undead Unluck!! You have been warned...! 👌

[SPOILERS AHEAD FROM THIS POINT ON]

Number 1: Everything that Anno Un (aka Akira Kuno) did in the Autumn Arc...!

This may seem like a lot, but pretty much everything that Anno Un did in the Autumn Arc was some of my favorite moments in the entire series...!! 😆 Especially during the flashback of Akira Kuno in chapter 47, the way he talked about Andy and Fuuko as "The characters I loved the most from the story that rushed into my brain that day", that really reminded me of me and how much I love the characters and stories that I've written for myself over the years that mean the absolute world to me...! 💗 I was moved to tears and I was even like: "Was this written specifically for me...?!" 😭 And thus, Undead Unluck went from being something that I just really enjoyed to something truly special, and it's all thanks to Akira Kuno / Anno Un, the Negator Unknown...!! 🤗

Number 2: Shen comes back as Mui's Jiangshi...!!

Now, I won't talk about this as much as my first favorite moment (mainly because, yet again, I'm saving a lot of what I want to say for another day 😉), but I have gush about this scene for a minute!! 😆 I was in literal shambles when I saw Shen gets a hole through his chest and was about to die, but after a plea from his deceased sister Mei to stay alive and be there for Mui, Shen comes back to tell Mui to kill him with the Game of Death artifact in her hand so that he can be by her side and protect her...!! 🥹 Mui succeeds and Shen comes back as Mui's Jiangshi!! 👏😭Just an amazing scene around in my opinion...!!

Number 3: Andy's feelings for Fuuko...!!

The next moment I talk about happens in chapter 79, when we get to see Andy's true feelings for Fuuko...!! 💗 At this point in the story, I already enjoyed the dynamic that Fuuko and Andy shared, but this where I fell even more in love with the romantic part of their relationship!! 💗🤗💗

Number 4: "This is where our counterattack begins..."

After watching all her friends die against Sun, Fuuko declares that in Loop 101, the final loop, she will gather all of her friends and they WILL NEGATE the Gods, Luna and Sun!! ✊ This moment gave me literal chills when I first read it and made Fuuko even more of a favorite mine than she already was...!! 👏👏👏

Number 5: "We are so glad that we picked you..."

There are so many amazing parts in Loop 101, but one of my absolute favorites happened not that long ago in chapter 196!! This is where we learned that Negator's aren't chosen by God, but by the previous negation ability holders...!! 😲 This was a HUGE revelation for the series and makes me even excited to see how Fuuko and the Union will win against the Gods and their Master Rules!! 👏😆

Boy, it was really hard to only pick five of my favorite moments (and even harder to just choose one), but I really love the choices that I made and hope that if I get the chance again some other time, I can share more of my favorite scenes from Undead Unluck!! 😁

Two days down, five more to go!! Hopefully I can keep up this momentum for the rest of the week...!! 🤞

Who's your favorite LMK villain (aside from Macaque)?

LBD. Without a doubt. She was my fave next to MK on first watch.

The scenes where someone attacks her and she does nothing but they just stop is chilling. Her scenes with Wukong are FANTASTIC. She's facing someone who's taken her down once and can fight and beat GODS with so much confidence. Her scenes with MK are BETTER. I have a thing for manipulative villains and DAMN the way she gets into MK's head HURTS. I think the only reason I don't like her more is because I'm too emotionally attached to the characters and try to ignore just how TERRIFIED she makes MK. She has ONE SCENE with Red Son and in not even 5 minutes she emotionally drags him through the dirt before PHYSICALLY YEETING HIM.

OH YEAH I HAVE TO TALK ABOUT THAT FREAKING POSSESSION

Okay and then THE LITTLE GIRL (Bai He? Something like that? Fanonically?) I KNOW SHE GETS 0 CHARACTER BUT TO POSSESS A LITTLE GIRL TRYING TO GET HER CAT? COLD LBD. COLD.

Okay and apparently I can't go one ask without talking about Macaque BUT HER ABILITY TO TAKE A CHARACTER WE'VE ONLY EVER SEEN CONFIDENT AND SMILING TO FREAKING OUT AND IN CHAINS IN SECONDS IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING. DOWN TO ACTIVELY KILLING HIM WITH HER POWERS BECAUSE HE WILL EITHER GET IT DONE OR DIE TRYING. I WILL NEVER GET OVER THAT.

AND THEN THE OBVIOUS. WUKONG. FREAKING. POSSESSED. WUKONG. FROM HER HOLDING HER OWN AGAINST HIM NOT AT HER FULL POWER TO NOT MORE THAN 10 SECONDS OF A FIGHT? HIS COLORS PHYSICALLY DIM WHEN HE'S POSSESSED. AND THE FACT SHE HELD HIM FOR SO LONG DESPITE HIM OBVIOUSLY FIGHTING BACK, WHILE ALSO PICKING AWAY AT MEI AND HER MECH? SPREAD TOO THIN SURE BUT THAT'S STILL ABSOLUTELY POWERFUL.

POSSESSED WUKONG IS PROBABLY THE MOST TERRIFYING THING I'VE EVER SCENE THAT I DON'T TALK ABOUT. FUCKING STONE-COLD (no pun intended). THE THREATS? THE TAKING OUT RED SON IN A SECOND? WITH FISTS IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY?? THE STALKING THROUGH THE SAMADHI FIRE TO GET MEI? THE ICE AND TELEPORTATION? ALSO GETTING WUKONG TO DESTROY NEZHA AND FLING HIMSELF AT MK WITH 0 HESITATION? I CAN'T HANDLE IT.

AND THAT'S SAYING NOTHING ABOUT HIS FINAL FIGHT?? FLINGING WUKONG AT MK, AGAIN, 0 HESITATION, AND THEN DESTROYING MACAQUE AND THROWING HIM ON THE FLOOR, ONCE AGAIN, USUALLY SMILING AND CONFIDENT AS ALL HELL. AND WUKONG ONLY BROKE FREE AT THE LAST SECOND AND HE STILL WASN'T RID OF HER COMPLETELY????

I CAN'T. DEAL. WITH THIS WOMAN.

AND SHE FOUGHT SO GODDAM HARD TO STAY ON HER TRACK, BROKE THROUGH MEI AND WIELED THE SAMADHI FIRE, AND EVEN WHEN SHE WAS DYING SHE WASN'T FUCKING DONE.

Wonderful Precure Episode 3 Review - Lucky Rabbit's Foot

This episode was pretty much plot and exposition but I really enjoyed it! It can’t be a Precure show without the main objective. For this iteration of the franchise, the Precures are tasked to purify and rescue the corrupted GaruGarus and have them return to Niko Garden in hopes that the ruler, Niko, can return.

Niko Garden feels very serene. The fact that it’s paradise for animals makes it even more peaceful. Mey Mey said that the animals that live here once came from Earth. Now, it makes me wonder if they’re going to make Komugi and Yuki live here at the end of the series because of their ability to transform into Precures. I don’t know why, but the concept of Niko Garden reminds me of the biblical story of Noah’s Ark as he gathered animals onto his ark to protect them. Whether Niko is a human or animal has yet to be known.

I do like that there is a distinction on Komugi’s human and dog forms. If Komugi cannot consume something as a dog, she can turn into a human and eat it. I think that’s a smart way to use this ability. However, since being human is still all new to her, she still has her canine habits like sticking her tongue into a cup and not using the handle. The scene where Iroha teaches human Komugi how to use a cup was sweet.

Also, poor Mey Mey. Iroha has a short attention span and Komugi doesn’t understand a lot of things due to her being a dog, so it’s hard for them to concentrate and pay attention to his exposition. I feel like Mey Mey is going to be the butt of jokes because of this. At first, he was against non-Precures learning about Niko Garden and GaruGaru’s, but Satoru’s eagerness to help out made him an exception. I did have a feeling Mey Mey would adore Satoru and I was right! At least someone pays attention to him now!

Speaking of Satoru, he’s a huge candidate for being my favorite character in the show right now. Yes, he and Daifuku were the MVPs of this episode; I dare you to change my mind. He stood out so much in a positive way. Like, the description on the official website stated that he knows Iroha and Komugi’s secret so to see it all play out in his very eyes must have been shocking; he was more shocked to see Komugi talk and change into a human than see Iroha change into Cure Friendy. I also love his friendship with Iroha. I can tell they know each other for a while as he does seemed a bit bummed out with her having to keep secrets from him, but he still respects her boundaries and not to pry too much. His love for learning really will be a big asset for the group as he is the group’s one brain cell. I love that his intelligence really does play a big factor as he knew about rabbits’ habits as he has one of his own; this helped the girls purify the GaruGaru rabbit.

Daifuku is the other MVP because he legit is a smart rabbit. He knew that GaruGaru egg was dangerous, so he pulled his leash to get Satoru away from it before he touched it. He hasn’t spoken, nor has he smiled, but that rabbit is smart. He’s also so cute too! Like, I have a feeling that Daifuku might be a mid-season Precure! In fact, I demand him to be a Precure! He’s just too cute! I do wonder how Daifuku would react to all the Niko Garden stuff since he didn’t show up during the GaruGaru moment.

Anyways, now that Satoru has joined the party, where will the story head? Like with every Precure show, they’re definitely going to gather the main Precures throughout episodic format and then sprinkle in some story. I can’t wait to see what this one has to offer! What are your thoughts on this episode?

yes!!! sorry it took me so long to get to this!

1. realistic

honestly my interpretation of Rosa is not very similar to canon at all. her name's not even Rosa, it's Mei, because when BW2 was first being announced we didn't know their english names for a while and i liked the name Mei too much to change it in my head. i have tried to reconcile my view of her with canon a bit more recently, though. i think she's very into fashion and dressing in fun, outlandish outfits. she really likes bright colors and fun accessories, she just doesn't have the confidence to pull it off at first in my au. like, she wears bright colored outfits because her mom insists she should express herself, but then can't handle the curious looks she gets from people.

2. unrealistic but hilarious

i like the idea that she’s not the most gifted at practical parts of pokemon training at first, like aiming her poke ball throws or giving quick decisive commands in battle, but her book smarts are off the charts. she knows every pokedex entry by heart, she knows a million obscure facts about the pokemon living in unova, she's got all this stuff memorized, she just has trouble, you know, doing the things trainers spend most of their time doing. at least at first. it's a confidence thing, she gets better as she grows.

3. soul-crushingly awful

i've alluded to this before, but i feel like Mei is a very shy and quiet kid. not by nature, just from a childhood of bullying and rejection. she only really had her mom and her best friend Hugh for companionship growing up. Hugh is a super great friend but not perfect since he's a kid too. she's known him since before she came out as a trans girl and if anyone ever says anything rude about her while he's around he'll kick their ass. he just can't be there all the time, you know? and her mom loves her a lot, and supports her a lot, but just doesn't really GET it. she doesn't get why things are so hard for Mei and thinks if she just encourages (pushes) her enough, she'll finally be the daughter she wants her to be. but i think Mei is autistic, and went undiagnosed as a kid, and has a lot of self esteem issues from not living up to people's expectations no matter how hard she tried. it takes leaving home on her pokemon journey and meeting people and pokemon (besides Hugh) who love her for exactly who she is, before she uncovers the confidence and capability that she always had.

4. Unrealistic but i will disregard canon and believe it anyway

i said in the Colress post that i headcanon that Colress adopts Mei, and i was gonna just use that same headcanon for this, but i wanna change it up a little. i already talk so much about how i think Colress and Mei should be found family, i’ll do something different here. who wants to learn about Legendary Pokemon Lore in my AU? strap in.

i feel like there's something in particular that makes legendary pokemon "legendary", beyond just being the subject of legends. i think the connection between humans and pokemon is kind of a magical thing that makes both the human and the pokemon stronger, hence why humans and pokemon started working together. i had the idea that for legendary pokemon, that connection is much stronger and provides much more power than normal, even resulting in a kind of psychic bond. legendaries can choose one human in particular to bestow this power on, and beyond just being its trainer and being able to command it in battle, this allows the human to wield some of the legendary's power on their own, and gives them the ability to communicate with each other telepathically and call to each other from anywhere. a human granted this power is referred to in legend as the legendary's "patron". often, the legendary even grants them a title.

anyway, the point of me saying all that is that i think Mei is Kyurem's patron. maybe the patron connection is a thing that ripples through time, and Kyurem called out to Mei for help while it was held captive by Team Plasma, leading her to it so she could rescue it. i'm not set on that part, but either way, Mei puts her life on the line to save Kyurem, and in return it chooses her to take on some of its power. the patrons of Reshiram and Zekrom (Touko and N) have the titles "knight of truth" and "prince of ideals". Mei's title is “herald of balance".

hello!! <3 frosty is always a solid name for a snowman, in norway for some reason we call him kalle, likely has to do with the name fitting the song best. who knows? it's also close to our word for cold. we'll go for frosty, because it's a name i can remember. i also think my main blog is up and running again, even though it's fun having this blog as well!! you're very welcome! me too, though! hmm, this is tricky cause i write a lot of characters. not as many as i was a while back, but i'll try to list a couple of my current favorites that i'm writing over in an rp! i'll put them under a read more though as knowing me it'll get long.

charlie fortier ( mercedes morris ) - her fc has changed quite a bit throughout the years and though she originated in the hp universe which might give a bit of an idea as to how long i've had her lmao since i can't actually remember the last time i rp'd it, she has changed quite a bit since. she is the main owner of her an ice cream shop that has been passed down through generations and she loves concocting new flavors and will test out every flavor once. she's very gay and is currently happily dating bea...after the longest slow burn. together they have a few dogs. in this particular rp, she happens to be a water sprite fae.

evan rathod ( summer bishil ) - another one of my beloved muses that i've managed to revamp, evan is quite different in the sense that they prefer to avoid people. her story has changed quite a bit in this rp, but they are a fire dragon who just escaped years of captivity and are now trying to adjust to being free and find their footing once more. they have a younger sister whom they absolutely adore and would do anything for. in the rp prior to this one, that was slice of life, so no dragons, they fell in love with an oliver jackson cohen fc and it's perhaps one of my favorite ships to write.

jocelyn lao ( jessie mei li ) - my little wannabe jeff goldblum in jurassic park. josie is an archaeologist that is very much someone that walks to the beat of her own drum. she loves reptiles and dinosaurs and has managed to create their own sort of sanctuary in the backyard where she's drawn inspiration from the jurassic park movies with the few reptiles they have rescued. they are a delight to write.

silas sanguis ( pedro pascal ) - admittedly, his backstory is a little inspired by the mikaelsons with some twists, but basically he's an old af vampire with an older brother who happens to be the leader of the vampires on the island he's currently inhabiting. silas doesn't necessarily care for or even enjoy politics, but he definitely takes advantage of the perks. his passion is wine and he's spent centuries perfecting various types of blood infused wines.

obsidian kincaid coldwell ( thomas doherty ) - cade, oh cade. he's definitely my current villain, as i have a tendency to always write one. he comes from a line of wixen that have the belief that they are the superior supernatural species. he is the second oldest of his siblings, just after his twin essie ( who i also play ) and was the favorite up until his brother was born as his seer gift was seen as less than to his brother's necromancy abilities. this, alongside with his family being responsible for his first love's death has resulted in him becoming very much an asshole and someone that does what he wants for his own gain. he's also currently trying to figure out a way to make wixen immortal.

2. When in canon does your S/I come in? Do you have a scene in mind for their entrance?

I kinda have a intro scene for her? She— along with her best buddy, Blake— would be eating at Pigsy’s noodle shop when they hear about the news of the Monkey King Staff being removed. The both of them just. Uh Oh.

But for their first real scene? The both of them are going to the shoe store that Red Son and DBK rob, and Azzy ends up stealing Red’s new drip shoes off his feet NEKFKFMFNDND

5. Does your S/I have any special powers or abilities?

Azzy’s been vigorously trained in combat, but she can further amplify her power by transforming into her true dragon form. She also gets more powerful when she's with Blake because they're supposed to be a team and work together.

9. Who are your S/I's closest friends?

Blake is Azzy's childhood, bestest, and most trusted friend. They were basically inseparable as kids, and Azzy knows she can always count on him no matter what.

She managed to temper Red Son's explosive temper (when he got over the shoe thing) and become his friend, and Maybe. Something More 👀

Sun Wukong and Xīn are kinda only friends through their mutual friend, Bai. She definitely idolizes him, but she wouldn't have sought out a friendship with him without Bai, y'know?

Azzy's friends with all of Team MK, particularly MK himself. Blake and her have tutored him on things on occasion.

12. How would the fandom view your character?

If they're not hating her for getting in the way of MK x Red Son, they're probably interpreting a lot dumber than she actually is (ALL /lh). Yes, she can be very impulsive, but I swear she has some braincells in there.

14. What hobbies does your S/I have?

Azzy didn't really have any hobbies growing up with most of her time being spent training. The closest thing to a hobby she had as a kid was trying to master the staff like the Monkey King! …It never worked out for her.

Having moved out to the big city with Bai, she's slowly trying to get some! She's picked up playing video games from Mei, and she enjoys trying new restaurants, food trucks, cafés… she likes food.

(1) Because of you I just binged Nirvana in Fire in three days. I can think of nothing else since. In perusing tumblr, consensus seems to be that MCS was gaslighting Jingyan. Playing devil’s advocate, I can rationalize why MCS continued lying. Jingyan made it clear that he didn’t like or fully trust MCS because he views him as a schemer. Their relationship was purely political. From MCS viewpoint, that opinion doesn’t necessarily change. After MCS recovers from torture, there are heaping waves

(2) of guilt from Jingyan. But the two of them never discuss this. There’s no apology or explanation. MCS may see that there is no longer dislike and he’s gained more trust. But he doesn’t know that the trust is now complete, especially as Jingyan shows lack of trust by trying to ferret out the secret with Consort Jing when he’s asked to drop it. If MCS were to confess that he was Lin Shu, would Jingyan believe him or would he think he was scheming again?

I don’t think Jingyan would have believed it during their fight in the snow. And I don’t think MCS trusted Jingyan enough afterwards to make that confession. For me, Jingyan had to find out from a third party. Your thoughts? (3)

anyway, uh, Mei Changsu was absolutely out here gaslighting Xiao Jingyan for a solid fifty episodes. is that even a point of contention? because setting aside the gap between the internet's memetic use of 'gaslighting' and the actual dictionary definition of 'gaslighting,' Mei Changsu absolutely lied to Xiao Jingyan about his identity with the intent to deceive, that's like, not at all a question (whether Mei Changsu was out to undermine Xiao Jingyan's perception of memory and reality is a different accusation we really don't need to get into). manipulate + mansplain are kind of Mei Changsu's whole deal, when you take a moment to think about it

attempting to assess whether it was morally correct of Mei Changsu to lie to Xiao Jingyan, though, I think is rather missing the point of plot-necessitated deception in this narrative. it's not about whether Mei Changsu did the right thing, whatever that is — he simply did what he had to do, in the extremely limited time that he was given

basically, I think that Mei Changsu's reasons for lying to Xiao Jingyan re: identity are four-fold:

the practicalities of secret-keeping: the fewer people know about a secret, the less likely it'll get out, and the whole "Mei Changsu-is-actually-the-presumed-dead-and-pronounced-traitor-Lin Shu" is a pretty hefty secret

Lin Shu's friends are, across the board, absolutely terrible at keeping secrets. we love Meng Zhi but we attempt to minimize how much deception he has to pull off, and Nihuang is a classic example of someone who cannot restrain her instinctive reaction to throw hands whenever someone insults her Lin Shu-gege

Lin Shu's friends are also, across the board, overly protective of him. a major reason why Mei Changsu chose not to disclose his identity was precisely because he knew that their concern for him would interfere with their ability to get anything done. look at how badly Xiao Jingyan took it when Mei Changsu waltzed into the Xuanjing Bureau, and that was before Xiao Jingyan understood the true compounded danger of Lin Shu offering himself up to Xia Jiang. Mei Changsu knows his friends, loves them, and is keenly aware that if they knew who he truly was, they'd be so concerned with his safety that literally nothing would get done because they'd all be too busy fretting. Mei Changsu needs to appear as an aloof, distant third party in order to make his arguments as compelling as they are, and to make the gambles it takes to succeed

Lin Shu's legacy: this is one of the most fascinating and compelling reasons why Mei Changsu keeps his identity hidden — his complicated relationship with his own past and personhood. One of the things that makes Mei Changsu such a complex character is how alienated he is from himself. in order to become what Xiao Jingyan needs, Mei Changsu becomes everything Xiao Jingyan (and in all likelihood, young Lin Shu) hates — political, conniving, clever, manipulative, coldly practical, vicious, deceptive. while he remains the mysterious, anonymous Mei Changsu, his stratagems are challenging to Xiao Jingyan's morality and worldview, yes, but if he reclaims the identity of Lin Shu, there would be an additional shadow of betrayal and tragedy cast over his every word and action. it wouldn't just be Xiao Jingyan looking at him with cold standoffishness, but also an additional undercurrent of horror and pity and disappointment — is this what you've become, xiao-Shu? Mei Changsu can't afford to get too close, because then everything will become too messy, too personal, too emotional, and he literally does not have the time to deal with that

in the last few episodes of the show, both Mei Changsu and the Liang Emperor agree on this — Lin Shu cannot come back to life. let Lin Shu, the brightest youth in the capital, die a brilliant, tragic legend, canonized thirteen long years ago into the past. let his legacy remain unsullied by deception and political maneuvering. let Lin Shu rest in the northern wilds of Meiling, and let Mei Changsu join him, quietly, without fanfare, because that's the only place he truly, truly belongs

tl;dr I don't think it's a question of whether or not Mei Changsu was gaslighting Xiao Jingyan, or even whether Mei Changsu was justified in lying to Xiao Jingyan. it's about narrative and necessity, identity and relationships, trust and emotion, legacy and love. it's about how much you would sacrifice to see your goals achieved, even if the price is your past self and the relationship that mattered most to you in the world. it's about the exquisitely crafted yet understated grief, and tragedy, and sorrow underlying the shape of their world, and it's about gently showing your loved ones how to let go of you before you leave, because you know you cannot stay

chapter 40 

i know they’re not interacting in this panel but i still want to bring it up.  i’m gonna give some context to this scene in case someone needs to jog their memory.  so basically, mei’s ability to command crows is what allows the staff to observe the students from afar.  however, gojo notices that there’s lack of footage where yuuji is and asks mei why that’s so.  she tells him that they’re animals at the end of the day so she can’t control what they look at.  he doesn’t believe her so he asks her whose side she’s on (for yuuji’s execution vs against yuuji’s execution) to which she responds with, “whose side?  i’m on the side with money, of course.  there’s no value in something that can’t be bought since you can’t exchange that for money.”  in other words, she’ll always choose the side that offers her more money because she doesn’t care about how morally “correct” or “incorrect” something is.  it’s not worth fighting for a cause that doesn’t benefit her in the long run which is why she views things that are unable to be bought (friendships, relationships, favors) as useless - they can’t be exchanged for money.  it’s clear that gojo knows she’s not on his side because he replies with, “spoken from experience!” or “i wonder how much!” (translation varies).  he says it out loud to perhaps let gakuganji know that he’s onto him.  i find it interesting how utahime is in the panel as well with a “?” to express her confusion at his words.  let’s overthink dissect that.  why is she there in the first place? if the message was to let gakuganji know that gojo is aware of his ulterior motives then a panel with gakuganji and gojo would have sufficed.  why add utahime with a question mark? 

here’s a personal headcanon of mine that makes no absolute sense, but who cares? it makes me happy LOL.  so let’s examine the panel.  gojo’s face is more simplified and cartoonish with a grey background on top and some sort of white bubble surrounding the three characters.  gakuganji is staring at utahime and gojo.  in the official viz translation, he replies to mei with, “i wonder how much!”  

normal and logical explanation: shading the principal by asking out loud how much mei was paid by him to avoid monitoring yuuji.

gojohime brainrot explanation: 

mei: “there’s no value in something that can’t be bought since you can’t exchange that for money”

gojo: (in response) i wonder how much utahime’s love would cost if it did have a price.

utahime: ?

you’re probably thinking i’m delulu (true) BUT HEAR ME OUT.  IT WOULD SOMEWHAT MAKE SENSE IN THIS CONTEXT...

mei’s saying seems to be what she lives by.  relationships, love, friendships, etc. do not matter to her as this is evident when she ultimately abandons everyone in shibuya to escape to malaysia, selling all her stocks before japan’s economy goes down.  she doesn’t care about anyone else.  she even takes advantage of ui ui’s adoration for her.  she contrasts utahime.  utahime is loved by her students.  children, especially teenagers, are picky when it comes to choosing the adults they admire and respect.  while everyone trusts gojo, they do not respect him because of his childishness and overall absurdity.  it’s refreshing to see how they always call him an idiot or have a -_- face when he’s around.  when akutami says everyone absolutely adores utahime-sensei, it says a lot.  we haven’t seen her interact with her students all that much, but she’s obviously close to them because she’s frequently arguing with momo.  even a closed off person like mechamaru wanted to keep her away from danger.  she most certainly expresses a lot of concern and care for her students, and gojo and her students can pick up on this. 

i’ve talked about this in every post LOLOL but there’s a reason why he went to utahime first to help him investigate.  utahime is a loyal person through and through.  she would never do something that harms the students even if she was offered everything in the world.  she values relationships above everything else.  besides her concern for the students, how else was i able to come to this conclusion about her character?  well, she got shoko to stop smoking because she was worried about how it might damage her friend’s health.  from these two details, it’s obvious that she’s the complete opposite of mei.  

maybe that’s why he calls her weak.  she’s too selfless and compassionate in a world where every sorcerer is for themselves.  the world is cruel as a sorcerer.  no matter how hard you try to fight, in the end, you’ll always die alone.  remember his talk with megumi after the baseball game?  after witnessing megumi pull a sacrificial bunt to help his teammates advance, gojo has a talk with megumi about his attitude and potential.  he says that being selfless and caring about others is not a bad thing, but in a world like this, where people always die alone, he is wasting his potential by being concerned with others.  it’s okay to be selfish.  this is why we see fierce independence in a lot of the sorcerers like mei, nanami, and gojo.  they each have their own reasons as to why they work alone, but it’s still a common characteristic.  i feel like utahime doesn’t have a selfish bone in her body.  i speculate that her selflessness is the exact reason why she is being held back.  during her mission to exorcise a grade 1 spirit by herself, the final task before being promoted to grade 1, she likely got distracted trying to help civilians out of danger and failed her mission.  he’s right when he says she doesn’t have the guts to be the traitor, utahime doesn’t have it in her to do something so boldly solely for her own benefit.  

after this long tangent, how does this relate to your headcanon, ootahime?  

as you know, love is not transactional.  you can’t pay someone to love you.  what if gojo is asking himself how much it would cost to buy her love.  hence, her confusion because she is oblivious to what he really means.  it could be probable because gakuganji is observing not only gojo, but utahime as well.  so what gojo says must involve her too, right?  

or she could just be confused because his words seem out of place because she is unaware of what gakuganji is doing behind everyone’s back.  that explanation makes sense for viz’s official translation but it doesn’t make sense when he says, “spoken from experience!” because his words make sense in that context.  he’s basically saying that mei’s beliefs must be based on her past experiences so he understands why she feels this way.  that’s an appropriate response to mei’s statement so i don’t see why utahime would be confused by this.  unless i’m interpreting this whole scene completely wrong.  in that case, whoopsies!  

let me know if you’re confused because i’m willing to clarify.  idk why but i found this really difficult to explain.  maybe because i’m reaching so hard haha

he finds any way he can to tease her.  they seem like a married couple watching a movie or something.  does he take pride in being the only person she doesn’t get along with?  i mean, she says it herself so he is aware she thinks he’s annoying, but he keeps picking on her anyway.  he doesn’t even pick on his enemies this much LMAOOO i think the only other person he likes to make fun of is gakuganji but he does so because he doesn’t agree with his views.  with utahime it’s different.  he trusts her a lot and even looks out for her.  

chapter 44

why are there two separate instances of gakuganji observing utahime and gojo’s interactions from afar?  nah i’m just playing.  he’s just looking because he’s concerned she’ll run into the semi-grade 1 curse he had for yuuji.  OKAY BUT I NOTICED SOMETHING KINDA CUTE?  whenever utahime says something suddenly, he always has those 3 little triangles near his head.  it’s like he’s thinking, “oh!  utahime is speaking, i must listen <3″  look at his face too.  he’s looking at her like :O

this is also an example of her showcasing her concern for the students in front of gojo.  i feel like he questions why she’s so caring because if it were him, he would have left the student to figure it out themselves.  i really wonder how she would react if he answered her truthfully when she asked what he’d do if she were the traitor.

Hello! Soo uh now that Elysian realm act 3 has been out for a bit and there's been more time to take it all it, I've been curious about what you think of Aponia, and what you understood what happened down up to the end at the Deep End's gate with her boss fight. I understood that the whole thing was like a "test" to prove if Mei would rise up in defiance of her own fate like Elysia did once upon a time, but I'm not so sure to what she referred as "Shroud" or her own ability to "erase" the Elysian realm itself, or that she is the Elysian realm? (becoming the world) I'm confused on that, so if you have any understanding I'd appreciate it a lot!

Aponia opinions? She's a great character who pisses me off! She's so aggressively hopeless it's infuriating. I totally get why but damn. Also mind control? Gross! Please respect other's bodily autonomy. But again I totally get why she is the way she is. It's not like she was 100% terrible or anything, she did so many kind things in the Previous Era. Also going on about fate, her insistence that these things MUST happen grinds my gears but at least for the Previous Era she was always right so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Overall very neat, great writing again!

I love how Mei just goes, "I won't die in 10 days if I get myself killed sooner fuck you".

From my understanding based on one of her conversations with Su, she actually did become the Realm itself/ a fundamental part of the Realm so she might have actually had the power to really erase the Realm, at least the simulated part. I dunno how but psychic powers are fucky and the Realm is made of memories. Why would you delete the realm though? Think of all of Klein's hard work ;-;. Also I've completely forgotten what this Shroud thing is...

I'll admit that rather than being rapturously attentive to the lore in ER I'm mostly vibing. You might want to ask @phoenix-is-the-hottest-thing because they are the ER expert.

Chapter One: The Social Season Begins

A/N: This is my first multiple chapter fic! I was heavily inspired by Netflix’s Bridgerton, but I do not intend to stick to its script. The show and the fic are meant to be seat during the early 19th century (1810 -1830) so a lot of things like technology will not be present. Also, this is a quirkless au so no one is going to posses any powers. I plan for this fic to be between 8 and 12 chapters, but we’ll see as we go along. I hope you all enjoy <3!

When social season rolled around, all bets were off. The most vicious of claws and fangs were disguised by beautiful dresses and headpieces, followed by the batting of eyelashes and the oh so precarious movements of feathered fans. It happened every year - hundreds of Musutafu’s young ladies braved the social scene in the pursuit of a husband either of their own status or higher. This year was no exception, in fact, it was shaping up to be one of the most influential seasons to date. Several of the most eligible and prestigious lords, viscounts, and barons would be attending the numerous balls that were in the works. While it was expected of the young women to pair up and find a love-match, such relationships always proved to be half-successful. Of course they would be married and well taken care of, but too often did you hear of wives maintaining an empty manor whilst their husbands were off gallivanting at their clubs, or more likely, at brothels. This proved to be your biggest fear - you wanted the beautiful relationship your parents had. The one where your father doted on your mother, bringing her flowers on random days because he happened to see them and think of her. One where he dutifully raised their children together, never once undermining her abilities due to her gender. And one where, right up until her very last breath, he held her hand and whispered sweet nothings to her. It was a sorrowful day when your mother died, but your father carried on in her place, raising you and your elder brother in the most proper and loving way he could. This encouraged you to go forth with your head held high. You would find the one you were meant to be with and not just be a part of a silly little love-match.

“Oh Lady Yagi, you look absolutely wonderful.” With a deep breath you met your eyes in the mirror in front of you and let out a little gasp. The dress you were wearing was utterly gorgeous. It was a very pale blue, even lighter than the powder blue that covered your bedroom walls, and had the most beautiful little detailed flowers scattered across it. There weren’t enough to mistake you with a garden, but there were plenty there to compare you to the most gorgeous dogwood. The necklace that lay across your neck was much daintier than what others tended to wear but you adored it - after all, it was your mother’s. And resting softly on your head was a matching tiara with both diamonds and light blue sapphires.

“My, Mei, you have simply outdone yourself.” You whisper. You couldn’t keep your eyes off of your reflection, the twinkles and glimmers of the jewels doing wonders to accentuate your features.

“Lady Yagi, how you make me swoon,” Mei exclaims, feigning a faint. You giggle at her and swat her gently with your fan. The two of you make small talk as she adds finishing details to your look; smoothing out hairs here and there, clipping in your diamond earrings, and slipping your silk gloves onto your hands.

“Y/N, my sister, we must be heading off!” A call echoed from just outside your room, coming from the main hall downstairs.

“And not a moment too soon, my nerves have been getting the best of me.” You say, a wide smile covering your face. You descended upon the grand staircase to see both your father and your elder brother waiting for you.

“My word! Y/N, my darling, you look divine!” Your father exclaimed, walking forward to place a ghost kiss to your cheek, not daring to mess up Mei’s handiwork. You smiled at your father and looked at your brother.

“Izuku, you look quite dashing.” You tell him, earning a grin from his freckled face. “Hoping to see Lady Uraraka this evening?” A blush quickly covered his face.

“Well, yes, she had told me she would be attending earlier when we took a promenade around- hold on, this is your special evening we need to be discussing.” Izuku says, switching the topic onto you. Rolling your eyes playfully, you took his arm as the three of you made your way into the horse-drawn carriage waiting for you in front of your house. The three of you entered, your father and brother careful of your long dress, and then you were off.

“So my dear, are you excited? Nervous?” Your father asks. You smile and inspect your gloved hands.

“Both. I just wish…” you trail off. Your father leans down to meet your gaze with slight concern in his eyes.

“Wish what?” He says, urging you to continue. A small sigh escapes your mouth as you look back up.

“Father, you have done wonderfully to raise both Izuku and I without Mother here. I think both of us agree on that fact.” You begin. Izuku nods and offers the both of you a grin. “I just wish that she was here. To tell me of what she was feeling when she debuted, how she calmed the churning in her stomach.” You confess, your hands now clenched. You were met with a sad smile from your father.

“How I wish for that as well, my dear. She would always tell me how excited she was for you to embark on your own marital journey. And, while I in no means shared the same experience as she did, I can tell you of what I was feeling.” He says. You look up, curiosity flashing in your eyes.

“Please,” you say, prompting him to tell you. He laughs and leans back on the leather seated cushion.

“Well I, like your brother, had an easy time finding the women we would want to spend the rest of our lives with.” Your father’s sentence earned a blush from Izuku, but no words of contention. I suppose we will be welcoming Lady Uraraka to our family soon, you thought smiling to yourself. “I was a nervous wreck, though, when my eyes found your mother. She was absolutely divine - like the gods had graced the earth specifically with her. She was quick to forgive my nerves and the slight stutter in my voice as I introduced myself to her, and things just seemed to run its own course from there.” You could see the wistful gaze in your father’s eyes as he thought of your mother. “Inko was a most gracious woman, both in mind and beauty. And those qualities, my dear, were passed on to you.” His hand came to cradle your cheek, brushing away the tears that started to well in your eyes. “But this is no time to be in despair, no, it is time to be quite the opposite than that. It’s time for you to find love.”

The carriage stopped rather abruptly, but you didn’t care. You gathered the train of your dress in your hand and were practically buzzing by the time the footmen opened the door. Your father stepped out first followed by Izuku, the latter of which offered a hand to you as you stepped out. The venue was absolutely gorgeous, and it was no surprise considering the man hosting it. Lord Takami was a rather benevolent and expressive man and those traits bled right into his events. With lanterns dotted all over the front steps and the ballroom, candles that seemed to float in midair, and the most magnificent smelling floral arrangements you had ever seen, you understood perfectly - this was what it must’ve felt like for your mother. Out of the corner of your eye, a pretty brunette started to drift towards you and your family, a bashful smile set across her face. Before you had a chance to speak, Izuku stepped in front of you and your father.

“Lady Uraraka, what a pleasure to see you here.” Your brother says, his hand extending to her gloved one.

“It’s truly all mine, My Lord.” She responds as a shy smile flickers across her face. Izuku spares you and your father a nod and a grin before he leads Lady Uraraka towards the middle of the floor, the two melting into the dance being performed seamlessly.

“Those two make such a divine and true love-match, don’t you agree Father?” You gush. Just seeing your brother so hopelessly in love was enough to make your heart flutter.

“I do, my dear,” he chuckles upon seeing your expression, “but we are not here to solely admire them. There will be plenty of time to do that at their wedding,” your father quips, earning a laugh from you. “Let’s get you introduced and dancing, hmm?” Your evening was full of re-introducing yourself to mutual acquaintances and establishing new ones in other young men. You made sure to only dance with those you felt could be a possible match for you, but as time went on you started to lose hope. It’s not that the men were horrid by any means - well, with the exception of one Lord Mineta - but nothing about them seemed to stir your heart. You currently found yourself in a most dull conversation with Baron Ojirou.

“Forgive me, Lord Ojirou, I must get some air. All of this dancing has made me quite light-headed,” you say, excusing yourself.

“Oh! Would you like me to accompany you, Lady Yagi?” He asks nicely. You raise your hand in denial but give him a light smile.

He was much different than the man you had just been recently talking to - physically more reserved, taller, and much much handsomer. Even with the scar covering the left side of his face, his presence was enough to make a woman swoon. “Forgive me.” you manage, curtsying a bit.

“Oh, no, it is I who should be apologizing. Pardon my interruption on your… outing.” He says awkwardly. This earns a slight giggle from you. 

“This was merely a simple break from the clamor inside.” you say, relaxing a bit more. Before the man could say another word, you see Izuku catch your eye from the steps.

“Y/N! There you are, Father and I have been looking everywhere- Shouto?” Your brother says shocked, his eyes meeting the man across from you.

“Izuku?” He responds, bewilderment flickering across his face.

“My word, it’s been a while! How as your father, the Duke of Endeavor, faring these days?”

“D-Duke?” You stutter out, in awe of the man’s title. Izuku catches your confusion and gives you a smile. 

“Forgive me for not introducing you! Todoroki, this is me dear sister, Y/N.” The man, now known to you as Shouto Todoroki, gave you a quick nod. “Y/N, this is Shouto Todoroki. The son of the Duke.”

Top five JJK techniques

Top 5 jjk cursed techniques:

1. Gojo’s Limitless - Easy number 1 choice. This was the technique where when we learned what it was, I knew that jjk was going to be different from traditional shonen manga/anime because it’s just such an odd technique: he can bring the concept of infinity into reality? Wtf? And then actually getting to see what he does with his technique and all the different forms of his technique only makes it more interesting. I also love that because of the Hidden Inventory Arc, we get to see Gojo actually perfecting and mastering his technique and also learn the limitations, like how he needs to constantly(!) be using reverse cursed technique in order to have his technique active 24/7. Gege’s gonna have to fully explain the Six Eyes at some point, so it’ll also be interesting to see how much they influence his ability to control his technique. All in all, a 10/10 technique.

2. Todo’s Boogie Woogie - I’m honestly unsure if I’m ranking Todo’s technique so high because I like it so much or because the name of it is just 💯 Probably a little bit of both? But either way, I love how Todo uses his technique and I’m dying to see it animated. Whenever I think of Todo’s technique, I always think of how he explains it to Hanami and says that it’s “simple but effective.” It’s such a simple technique -- clap your hands and switch places with someone or something. But he uses it so effectively, from how he uses it to how he doesn’t use it to using Mahito’s hand to make the clap. I just love how much Todo is able to take something so simple and turn it into something so powerful. (Side note: when Todo says the name of his technique aloud in the anime for the fist time, I’m going to fucking DIE laughing.)

3. Megumi’s Ten Shadows - I actually wasn’t going to list Megumi on here because I was like, “There’s nothing that interesting about it.” But then I realized that I’m just too used to it because we see it in the first chapter/episode and then Megumi’s one of the main characters so we see him use it a lot. Of course it’s fucking interesting that Megumi can summon shikigami out of fucking shadows. And it only gets more interesting with each new shikigami we see. And then Megumi’s trump card of summoning Mahoraga even though he knows it’ll kill him? Of course, Megumi’s technique belongs on this list. What was I even thinking?

4. Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine - (Technically this is Sukuna’s domain and not his technique but I’m considering it part of his technique for this list because who’s gonna stop me?) I watched through episode 5 of the anime before binging my way through 125+ chapters of the manga, so the first time I saw Malevolent Shrine was when it was animated and MAPPA didn’t let us down. I actually think I’m putting this on the list just because of how impressive it looks rather than because the technique/domain itself. This gets an A+ and the number 4 spot on appearance alone.

5. Mei Mei’s Black Bird Manipulation - This is another simple one that gets ranked so high because of Mei Mei figured out how to make it stronger on her own by coming up with Bird Strike. Also, idk what it is but there’s something so witchy and badass about being able to control black birds? It fits the aesthetic that I one day want to achieve.

Last big doodles of mine and so far just the last two. for now since I have more doodles I want to do, and honestly the top one above is my big favorite and gives some insights on my two FMA OCs Emmy and Emmet Rosenthal [my Rosenthal siblings]

I shall talk about the doodles as usual :3 starting the top one! ^

so the top one is going to be very important to my OC's, Emmy and Emmet Rosenthal, as well it'll be touched up more in my comics. while some FMA artists would probably question it and maybe say it "makes no sense" because of stuff, dude its world building. there's MANY FRICKEN PLACES...THAT HAVE YET TO BE DISCOVERED. ID IMAGINE THIS BE ONE OF THEM. Remember the brotherhood movie??? Yeah-  Anyways- So Emmys mothers ancestry is pretty unique and has been around for a good long amount of time, some would speculate their culture or their people, whichever which or both have been around possibly around when Xerxes been around until they vanished, but would also say it was a probably a very 'young' country like...there's not many people. until years gone by there's many. it was once a small kingdom and soon grew more and more over the years which it has. they rule under someone of royal blood - their rulers being the king, queens, prince, princess, etc. I am still thinking of a nice cool name for what their race is named, because i named them "Krazohens" but that's ME …. borrowing a name.....from a video game and just add more letters to make it sound "cool" but- ack...noooo. So i need to think of what the race ethnicity would be named so that needs some work. I would imagine they are people who use alchemy A. LOT. for defense, protection, and healing purposes. they even have schools for the young that wishes to use alchemy. they ban inhumane alchemic acts such as using live animals and such to create chimeras and .. use alchemy on people to create a human-weapon. and also bring those to life is a huge no no, forbidden. no surprise and no shock. So I'm still working with the world building on the culture and such of Emmy and Emmet's ancestry, from the mothers side of the family, but i do wanna at least explain a bit on what these two are doing in the doodle piece best i can? i had imagined that they go through special rituals and such when visiting their ancestral homes around the times of the festival month and this happen the week they arrived [in the story ed and al tagged along and get to see the ritual being done]. Both Emmet and Emmy also get idk ranked? ish? by their knowledge and abilities i suppose?  Emmy was more seen as she who protects her people, and a healer who she comes to protect. Emmet was seen and has shown that is he who protects and defends his people, a heart of gold and steel that he will lay down his life to protect his people and his love ones. being his family he has left and his sister. Emmy was seen as an alchemist warrior but more towards a healer too, while Emmet is shown he's more of a warrior and a soldier then anything. Emmet can do alchemy but he is used to hand to hand combat. I'm still working with the world building on the ancestor part but i was enjoying a lot with it and this was my big favorite piece I've drawn (quq)

this is a scene that'll happen in the comics for sure, and I don't give a flying flip what anyone says- but basically - its a scene where Ed and Emmy where still in Emmy's ancestral home and they stay there for a good 2-3 weeks, and they got the special honor to stay in the castle. they kept hearing noises and voices which was creeping Alphonse out and making Ed skeptic but also weary. Emmy being weary as well. of course here Emmy and Edward got into an argument of "there's no such things as ghost" and of course...Emmy stares at him pointing out about him dealing with shit that was suppose to be "impossible" to encounter let alone exist....

come on if we got paranormal actual documentation of demonic possessed fucking places and dolls in our world, I would imagine there be some IN THE FMA WORLD.. just not very common to figure that out but come on-

[hell Mei, ling, and Lanfan and Fuu had pointed out on the feelings of people swarming around beneath when they went to central or arrived so- i mean????? lets be real here] so yeah they go into investigate mode and figure out something deep in the castle and help recover something that puts everything to rest in the country that was...LONG overdue. which will get in touch with in future doodles or when the comic comes out.

Mousie’s New and Improved Top 20 Cdramas List

Because why not. These are ordered in terms of being my favorite as opposed to pure quality - if I was trying to be objective, it would probably be rearranged, but I like being petty and subjective.

You will notice that literally every drama on this list is a period drama. Much as I adore period cdramas, contemporary ones rarely work for me.  

20. Princess Agents (tie)

Our heroine is a slave in a brutal society who becomes a feared general, fighting for freedom and love of a Yan prince. But her heart might actually lie with a seemingly cold adversary who is madly in love with her (I shipped them so hard!) I was one of five people who loved the infamous cliffhanger ending because it made a brutal kind of sense (You can read the novel if you want a different resolution.)

20. Tribes and Empires (tie)

This one has a hell of an open ending, but it’s so gorgeous and epic, I don’t even care. Set in a fantasy empire, it follows three men - a half-human prince, a cursed son of a general, and an orphaned leader of a barbarian tribe. A feast for the eyes.

A visually stunning high fantasy with elves, quests, a shockingly wonderful hero, brotherly love, toughest lady general ever as OTP and basically everything I like.

This one is a magnum opus of 100 episodes, with a tour de force performance by Chen Jian Bin as Cao Cao. Battles, politics, and even though it’s very secondary, one of my favorite love stories in cdramas. This one is if you want to use your brain as well as your heart.

What do you get when you have seven awesome heroic brothers, a star-studded cast, tragic stories about heroism and love and just amazingness? You get this drama.

Band of misfits fight corruption and uncover mysteries. This one is the most underrated drama on my list. Also, Wallace Huo has never been hotter in his life and that is saying something.

By the same people who wrote Minglan, this follows a family in 1930s China and is a quiet, devastating masterpiece.

He’s the consummate battle god. She is a mystical shaman. He is fated to be with someone else per prophecy but he doesn’t care and chooses her. True love, politics, battles, jealousy, amazingness, tragedy. I love them so.

This is Boys over Flowers goes Qing (where Domyoji’s behavior finally makes sense since he’s a literal prince and Rui likes to kill people.) This is such a amazing good fun, about a modern woman time traveling to the time of the fight for the throne between Kangxi’s sons. She thinks she likes the seemingly gentle Four but ends up with hot-blooded, awesome Eight. She herself is tough as all get out and this is pure deliciousness from beginning to end. Yang Mi and Feng Shao Feng had such amazing chemistry, people RPShipped them for years. 

10. Return of the Condor Heroes 2006

My first cdrama ever, and what a gorgeous one it was. That’s what got me into cdramas. The childhood eps are pretty awful but after that, it’s pure shippy perfection with an incredible OTP. If you want to be in a constant romantic swoon, in that story of female master and her male disciple and their forbidden love, this one is for you.

9. Eternal Love/Three Lives Three Worlds Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms

Fated immortal lovers, reincarnations, the whole enchilada. Yang Mi and Mark Chao have insane chemistry that burns up the screen. The first few eps are slow, but it makes up for it afterwards.

A twisty epic romance with a super-powered heroine who is plain awesome and may destroy the world, and a smart, ruthless prince who’s only soft for her. I love it so much!

7. Legend of Condor Heroes 2008

Plot twists, good guy hero with a mega smart OTP, tragic anti-hero who becomes a villain for a while with an amazing OTP, bromance, fights, everything. I just adore this one. 

6. Bu Bu Jing Xin/Startling By Each Step

The one that started the time-travel craze (well, that and Gong), about a modern woman who time travels to the time of Emperor Kangxi’s sons’ fight for the throne, this is a gorgeously filmed tragic love story, with one of the most perfectly brutal endings out there. I adore it.

5. Nirvana in Fire

This is a smart story about politics and revenge, where a survivor of a wrongly destroyed family comes to get justice. Seemingly laid back until it explodes. Not much romance but it doesn’t even need it.

Like the dramas to destroy you? Come right in. A story about a disfavored prince and a lost daughter of a previous dynasty, this is smart, gorgeous, and is going to wreck you.

I have talked enough about it recently so I won’t say much more, but if you want epic, movie-like quality, characters you will love, amazing battles and cinematography, complicated world-building and an OTP to die for, come right in.

2. The Myth

For the longest time, this was my favorite cdrama, to be replaced only by Minglan. It starts out funny and ends up tearing out your heart. This is the only time in my drama watching experience I cried so hard I threw up. The story is about two accidental time-travelers - a photographer and a cook - who end up in Qin Dynasty China. And from then on it’s about how that cruel, horrifying world takes two perfectly normal men and by wracking their very souls turns one into a hero and the other into a monster. To me, this is Hu Ge’s best performance and as you see his protagonist desperately try to hold on to his humanity and his love in a world that is doing its best to destroy it, I dare you not to cry like a baby. His character is my ultimate cdrama crush.   

1. The Story of Minglan

Aaaaaand, my n1. cdrama is the amazing, too short at 73 eps, The Story of Minglan. It is very hard to describe the plot of this - a sort of Elizabeth Gaskell meets period China. It follows three interconnected upper-class families, but more specifically, it is about Shen Minglan, a concubine-born daughter of a minister and Gu Tingye, the oldest, legitimate, and hated by his family son of a Marquess. Their narratives run largely parallel for the first half of the story and such is the genius of this drama that I, the ultimate romance junkie, did not mind that. Minglan is a rarity in dramaworld - she is fiercely smart, very collected and emotionally detached. Life in the troubled Shen household taught her to survive and to hide her feelings and talents. Tingye is a big cdrama love. Abused and reviled by his household where he can do no right (the Marquess hated having to marry his merchant mother for money and has displaced that hate on her son), Tingye manages to keep his warm heart but acquires the ability to go his own way. Both of the protagonists are wonderful and smart and magnetic and rootable for separately, but when they get together, the sparks go off the charts and they become my n1 cdrama OTP of all time. A lot of the story is about family battles, women’s world dilemmas and relationship (of all sorts) interactions. There is also politics and battles, but the true charm of this drama are the mundane details of the world and the fully-fleshed out people who inhabit it. If you watch only one cdrama in your life, make it this one.

My Other Fanfics in the Future

Well, I made announcements about my 2 Loonatics fanfics-related stories coming soon. So here are my other fanfics that I am making. But before I am going to show you my other fanfics, I like to share what most of them are like. Kervinverse related. If you checked my Tumblr header it's pretty obvious.

As you may wonder what is the Kervinverse is all about? The Kervinverse is like the multiverse but with all different kinds of Kervin. Inspired by Spiderman Into the Spiderverse all the versions of Kervin contained different personalities, stories, almost the same appearance, fighting styles, and special abilities. One of the most signature outfits is the black and red formal suit.

People think that those stories a self-insert but it is actually not. Me and my other Kervins are the same but they are different the appearance, abilities, and personalities. KERVINVERSE STORIES (Including crossovers):

Grand Theft Auto Origins: Kervin Made Liberty – Set in the GTA HD Universe. Before Kervin (GTA Online) came to the place called San Andreas, he was just a very young boy who was born in the place called Liberty with his parents. His father Claude who became rich and retired to a life crime and his wife Misty who used to be a prostitute. It was normal and happy life for him and his parents. But when years passed when he is getting older, he slowly starts to realize what kind of broken world he is living in.

Now for those who played the HD Universe of the GTA Games you know every protagonist in the HD universe like Niko, Johnny, Luis, Michael Franklin, and Trevor. As much as they have different stories and perspectives but this story about GTA OC that he was living with full of offensiveness, disrespectfulness, brutal honesty, and others. An example in GTA IV a radio commercial of Babies Overnight that said that someone was not satisfied with the baby it can be disposed of. Although it would be interesting to have that backstory for my next OC for GTA. So, this story may contain a lot of murder and crimes on what led to him going to San Andreas. So, watch out. And for those who have not played GTA Online why his parents are both Claude and Misty is because it was part of the premium edition for free in Epic Games.

Def Jam X Kung Fu Panda: Book 1 Fight for A New Fight (maybe a working title) - After the events of Def Jam Vendetta, Fight For New York, and The Kung Fu Panda Trilogy including Legends of Awesomeness. Set during Paws of Destiny Season 2 in the Kung Fu Panda universe while in Def Jam 2 years later in the year 2005 after Crow's death (Fight for NY still takes place in 2003) Kervin (Def Jam Fight For NY) the new leader D-Mob's crew but also officially known as the Def Jam Crew after Blaze appointed him to take his place. Kervin has to manage every venue, club, and arenas in New York including places that Crow took over. But in Chinese New Year there was something strange that Kervin and his crew got transported to a different universe. Including former members, fighters, and circuit fighters.

Now, this fanfiction sounded really odd. As you may know why I am making crossover fanfic of Kung Fu Panda X Def Jam? Easy. The first one is because this is what would have been my PS2 games if I ever have a PS2. I was thinking of Mortal Kombat or Yakuza for Def Jam but Kung Fu Panda is the only thing I know when I was 7 years old. The second is because back in the days Hip Hop mixed with Kung Fu was very popular. Although Def jam may be a wrestling game martial arts stole my heart in Def Jam Fight For NY. I heard about things like the Wu-Tang Clan for example but the biggest problem for me is that I am not a true fan of Def Jam because I don’t know about hip hop artists. Just only the games so I will be focusing on their video game counterparts in their fictitious manner meaning pretending real-life characters with their real name are fictional characters. So, if there and fun facts in those real-life counterparts I may add them to it like easter eggs. The third is that there are Kung Fu Panda characters that did not get enough love and mostly art. So many recognizable characters like Po, Tigress, Tai Lung, and many more have become the most recognizable characters in the movies. But what about the tv shows like Legends of Awesomeness and Paws of Destiny? One of my favorite characters of Legends of Awesomeness is Peng, in short, he is the nephew of Tai Lung and he is such an interesting character that he deserves a lot more love. While for Paws of Destiny is Xiao because she is such a cute character, so is her personality and the best character to have hugs with. So, what I am trying to say is that I need to start off with the character that is unrecognizable then bring it recognizably. I may also add characters from shorts like student Mei Ling in the future book and it would be funny and to see rogue Mei Ling. 2 Mei Lings in one. Even Su and Master Snow Leopard because are both female leopards with the same appearance and outfit. I may also include some characters from the flash game Tales of Po and may possibly rewrite them in different stories because I love the character designs thanks to Blue Maxima’s FlashPoint. And the fourth and final part is that to make the Def jam games more recognizable. Def Jam in music is not absolutely enough but video games are. The Def Jam games did not bring a sequel after Fight For NY so I might as well make a sequel with interesting and experimental crossover fanfic just like The Loonatics Road.

The Red Fox (Kingdom Force Spinoff and maybe a working title) - The Kingdom Force has 5 members defending the 5 Kingdoms. Luka the wolf who leads in red, Jabari who runs in yellow, TJ who drills in green, Delilah who swings in orange, and Norvyn who strengthens in blue. Each of the 5 drives Kingdom Riders and turns them into Alpha Mech to fight against evil in the 5 Kingdoms. But even if they save the day multiple times the 5 Kingdoms are still filled with more crime and every antagonist came back doing other crimes and evil deeds because they were not arrested or eliminated. That's is when a red fox came along...

I have seen popular fandoms in cartoons that were supposed to aim at younger kids like Lion Guard, MLP, Paw Patrol, and even Bluey. But Kingdom Force is the cartoon that did get enough love. It's like Power Rangers and Voltron but with anthropomorphic animals like Zootopia. However, the stories and episodes in the show is very confusing and give me almost a lot of questions. But I do like the character designs in the show. My favorite hero is Luka who is a leader with and cute cuddly character personality and my favorite villain Envie Fernadez which she has a pretty hot design, name and voice and so is her personality. Reminds me of Sly Cooper but I have not played the game yet. But for the red fox also OC Kervin (Kindom Force) It’s still at work.

APB Reloaded X Zootopia: Anyone Can Be All You Can’t Be: - In Zootopia “Anyone Can Be Anything” But in San Paro “Be All You Can’t Be” Zootopia is a place where vicious predators and meek prey live in harmony. This means that people in Zootopia live together without the prey getting eaten by predators and predators not getting feared by the prey. They almost eat like us, they sleep like us, they speak like us, they walk like us, they run like us, they bathe like us (well almost), and most importantly they use technology like us. While San Paro maybe has a good look to sightsee but this city has a lot of crime. Robberies, bombings, thefts, drug dealing, murders and causalities, vandalism, and much more that we can think of. But that does not mean there is no justice in this world. When the Criminals like the Blood Roses and the G-Kings try to take over San Paro? The Enforcers Prentiss Tigers and Praetorians from come and save the day. What would happen when a human Enforcer meets a police fox and a police bunny? And how did it happen? Only one way to find out.

Now this one is also a Kervinverse crossover story. It focuses on Kervin (APB Reloaded) meeting Judy and Nick. I am trying to find a way on how will they meet each other. But the only thing ideas I know is that it can be a delivery gone wrong, an invention gone haywire or maybe a criminal stole something magical that is transported to a different universe. But I have a lot of strange things in the game like the Christmas events and Halloween events. I like to see any volunteers who play APB Reloaded. Alza Flare (Road Rovers Fan Spinoff)- Alza is a black cat born in the place in New York City, USA. He was born inside a pet shop without cat parents since he was born. His parents' status is unknown. Although he did make friends with other cats and non-cats in the shop. But it was a short while until a human customer named Drayson Flare and adopted him as Alza Flare. Alza has been Drayson's pet for 3 years and they instantly became best friends but when during the time when they are about to go home from the park. A terrible accident happened.

A long time ago I watched Road Rovers on my phone just to try something nostalgic and the show is pretty good though although there are some parts that don’t use their powers all the time. One part that caught my eye is how brutal car accident in the episode “Dawn of The Groomer” which gave me an idea of my new anti-villain OC character named Alza Flare. Sadly, he does have an image of him yet. But I will tell you that I will give you an interesting revenge story for him.

The Best Surfer In The World (Surf’s Up Spinoff. Maybe a working a title and synopsis change) - After the events of Surf's Up and Surf's Up 2: Wavemania. There was once a wolf who lives in the place of Chicago Illinois. He quit his own career due to being a rejected member of Hang 5 for being too unstable and after beating J.C. in a tournament years ago and after his early retirement, he spends his normal life as an ice cream man in his own ice-cream motorcycle with one of his own freshest ingredients and swears to himself that he would never in the waters again. Until he met a young Toyger.

Surf’s Up is my first favorite mockumentaries since I was young. It’s like you are watching animals andromorphic animals absolutely existed in the world we live in. It had an interesting story and writing so are the interesting characters. But when I watched Surf’s Up Wavemania. Well, I honestly love the WWE Superstars and Diva came into the movie but the story did not actually surprise me a lot. Even if the movie has a lot of beautiful locations it still did not surprise me enough because it is more like an adventure than a tournament. That is why I am planning to start my fanfiction in a new different approach with a real story and a real rivalry. Starting with wolf inspired and based on CM Punk during the part when he won the WWE belt against Cena in Money in the Bank when I watched it since intermediate school with a little rename change so it won’t be obvious. And of course, my Toyger OC because he would be trained by his own surfing master. Also, I added a Slam City easter egg

Fire Pro Wrestling World Origins: Story of 2 Angels – There is no synopsis of them yet. But I will tell you they are brother and sister with the last name “Angel” The brother who is a pop artist while the sister who joined a motorcycle club. What they both have in common is they both can fight. Their stories about my 2 new Fire Pro OCs will be coming soon. But they are not part of the fighting roads.
