Beware of the Bunnies - What if Midoriya hadn't gone to Endeavor Agency? What if he had chosen to do his work studies with another top Pro Hero? Midoriya decides to do Work Studies with the Rabbit Hero, Miruko. Honestly, it all seemed pretty good. At first. Apparently, these two bunnies often find themselves in the odd situations. Whether it's the fault of someone else or they brought it upon themselves.

Lucky, Happy Rabbit - Whether it was someone's quirk, a struck of good karma or something else, Miruko has a lot of good things happen to and around her today.

Rabbits in the Burrow - Bakugou wasn't the only one that goes into a spiral when getting the news about Midoriya’s condition.

I had an idea from an AU that who chooses who should be the new wielder of One for All are the old wielders, so as soon as they saw Izuku the moment he saved Bakugou from the slime monster, they decided to give the power to him, however, Izuku does not know this and on top of that he received a lecture from All Might, making Izuku more depressed and only later does he realize that he has a quirk and ghosts that are guiding him. In this AU he's going to Shiketsu instead of UA because he doesn't want to meet All Might and Bakugou and I love Shiketsu. This fanfic isn't a bashing against All Might, he's just a traumatized guy and a bit of an idiot. I'm thinking of having Izuku receive training from other heroes, like Mirko and Hawks, since I have a headcanon that they both studied at Shiketsu and I love them as mentors to Izuku. I also think about making the league of villains being heroes and having other villains like Nine be the ones that work with All for One. This is a good idea?

I like this idea a lot. One thing I should mention is that Miruko is six years older than Hawks and Hawks didn’t go to a hero school (instead being trained by the HPSC). However if you want to rewrite it so that they’re the same age and that Hawks went there that’s completely fine. It’s your fanfic at the end of the day.

young justice au part 2 because it lives in my head rent free

there is a shortage of trust. while they're teenage superheroes who have to rely on each other, they don't trust each other nor their mentors. it' s a subtle thing, but it always makes sure their missions go awry.

hawks is their den mother, because their bade is in his city, and he'd horrendous at it. it's unclear whether he lets them get away with things or he really doesn't know / notice.

miruko is their combat instructor, and she does not take this lightly. it gives her the chance to beat these egotistical kids' asses and it's her favorite job by far. she helps them sneak out.

the only ones that actually live in the base are todoroki and kirishima, because todoroki doesnt have anywhere else to go (being a genetic clone and all) and kirishima may or may not have faked his death.

shinsou's the kid of a villain who was supposed to follow in his mother's footsteps, but he rejected that so hard he turned to vigilantism, and present mic took him in on the concern that shinsou would get himself killed.

they don't even live in the same city, but shinsou gets a u.a. scholarship - a school he never even thought he had a chance of attending - (due to aizawa, unbeknownst to him) and suddenly he's living a normal life and being a vigilante and WOW is he out of his element

he and uraraka share an apartment

everyone gently ignores that midoriya knows everything about everyone because midoriya thinks it's common knowledge.

Soul parents are seen as mentor figures / “extra” parents, rather than a replacement for a person’s actual parents (bio or adopted). That being said, in case of shitty bio parents / shitty current guardians, adoption of soul children is not uncommon.

If you don't mind me asking, can I ask your top favorite fics that you've written (feel free how much that you want to list)? Why they're special to you? Is there a specific inspiration when you wrote them?

I'll tell you, all my fics are special to me and most of the time, I find myself having fun writing them. Writing isn't just a hobby, but a way for me to release pent up feelings I have or express an idea that came to me.

To name a couple...

Beware of the Bunnies - It's the first fic I wrote for "if Miruko was Midoriya's mentor". It was fun writing that fic, especially when it's a fic for my two #1 faves. I honestly didn't expect the amount of attention I got for it!

Not Red, Black - I sometimes like branching out from writing warm-hearted, funny fics and this is one of those times. Another AU idea I had, but if Miruko and Midoriya were eldritch-like creatures and related. Unlike its prequel, this one stepped more in horror imagery and I think the direction the fic took.

Forbid a Woman from Being Great - Yes, another Miruko fic and one I actually wrote out of spite. When it comes to this fandom (as with any), is how double standard they can get. With Miruko, I have seem people hate her for being "too aggressive" or "too mean", but praise other characters for those same traits or even give excuses for their behavior. Or with fanservice, the same people who complain about it also thirst over the male characters getting bloody and shirtless. I don't hate characters like Dabi, Shigaraki or Hawks but I can't stomach how their fans act when it comes to Miruko or any other character really. It was actually a Hawks fan that irritated me enough to write this fic as well as get me out of the writing funk I was in.

An Absolute Menace - This is a fun little fic. It's part of a series of Class A and occasionally B partaking in antics. With this one, writing Koda as this troll was new, but fun.

Let's SK8 Over the Rainbow - This is actually a SK8 series that I wrote and it's still one of my favorites. It started off as a headcanon (Reki allowing Koyomi to paint his nails) and then spiraled into a collection of short stories themed around colors and I love colors so much. One of the fics, You're Lime Green Jell-O, I dove into expanding a character that only appeared once in SK8. Her name is Miki and she has green hair and I remember seeing her and going "You, you're getting some personality, a story, etc." Best decision ever. I just loved writing Miki and I think it was the first time I wrote a whole story for a character that only had two lines in canon.

Tu es le Moment Auquel J'appartiens - Another series I adore. I wanted to write some jealous Vanitas since I don't think I had seen a lot of Vanoé fics where he was the jealous one while Noé was more oblivious. Not at the time, I don't know about now since I haven't read a VNC fic in a long time. The title translates to "You are the moment I belong to" which is a line of lyrics from the anime's first ending song that I love so much.

It's the Pink Hair, Isn't It? - Do not get me wrong! I do love the AUs I see where Sukuna and Yuji are brothers, but the idea of this fic came from what if they were identical strangers and not related in the slightest. Even funnier, in the fic, Kenjaku and Suguru are siblings that look like twins, but Kenjaku is older. My favorite scenes probably have to be Kenjaku and Yuji interacting and Sukuna and Yuji meeting. I've also been cooking up a sequel so I can write more of Kenjaku and Suguru being siblings and Yuji's brothers and I do mean all nine older brothers. (I relate to Choso so much.)

Your Heartbeat Is My Comfort - Ever see a beautiful piece of fanart and you want to write a fic about it? That's what happened here. I saw this FushiIta art post here and it was like BAM! I had to write a fic. It was also another I didn't write something comedic, but more somber, bit of tragedy yet comfort in there.

Maybe Someday We'll Meet Again - I'm all for the Teacher Geto AU! However, this fic came from a what if scenario had Suguru and Yuji had met when they were younger and I always how Kenjaku was even aware of Suguru's technique. So I put both ideas together and thus this fic was born. It isn't dark, but little less comedic than others and I tried my hand at focusing on more of Yuji's strangeness and innocence here along with Suguru's character before he became a curse user.

You Are My Special - Again, another time I went for less comedy and fluff and tried with something else. I actually don't know how to categorize this one in terms of genre. SPECIALZ was stuck in my head for a long time and it got when I really started thinking about the lyrics and decided why not try writing something from Kenjaku's POV about Yuji? It may have took forever to write, but I'm glad I did. I actually wanted to write a companion piece of sorts but from Sukuna's POV about Yuji.

The Pink Sky and Cherry Blossoms - I actually just posted this fic and I'm glad I waited to answer this ask because of it. I was rereading the manga and came to Uro's fight with Ryu and Yuta and instantly fell in love with her character and thought about how would it have been like if Uro met my other favorite, Yuji? They have some similarities going on there and it was eye-opening writing those into this fic, especially with Uro's character. I wasn't around when that arc came out, so I didn't know how the fandom acted towards her, but for me, I just felt there's more to her than the surface. She's the Miruko of JJK to me as Yuji is the Izuku. Just as I would love for Miruko and Izuku to be a duo in a big sis-lil bro/mentor-mentee way, I love the same for Uro and Yuji.

The Craving That Paints Your Lips Red - The last fic I wrote for 2023 and a sequel to another fic, I wanted to try my hand at the horror again. But more tame, but still "Oh my gosh". I'm writing a post about it, but I have thoughts about Yuji and Sukuna's relationship and sometimes I have this feeling that Sukuna wants to corrupt Yuji, kind of like shape him to be the next him almost. Not for certain, but it's an idea that kind of struck me. For this fic, I wanted to explore a more horror fic side of Yuji housing the King of Curses. The best part of this fic for me is how I unintentionally stuck with the idea that Yuji keeps getting back up no matter how many times Sukuna tries to break him.

That list got longer than intended, but again, I have a lot of fics I have enjoyed writing! I'm glad to have talked about them and I thank you for asking! 💜

bash is short for birthday bash. it's a league of villains humor fic where each of them commit terrrible food crimes (like boiling coca cola or combining chili sauce and tuna and peanut butter) and dunk on each other about it and then it cumulates in a birthday party for shigaraki serving the worst food you can imagine. snippet:

"Who the fuck eats peanut butter on a tuna sandwich for dinner?"

"Me, as evidenced." Dabi's face is impassive as he reaches for a bottle of hot sauce.

:pensive: and :pensive: but worse are two crack one-shots with the same premise, but i couldn't decide if i wanted to make it dabihawks or shigahawks. idk how to talk about it without basically giving away the whole thing but i can tell you it's based on a bit in a danny gonzalez video and the official title will be "pov: you and your boyfriend are at a party and your ex walks in"

love is a bowl of warm soup is dabi centric/shigadabi no quirks au about the league of villains meeting through a community food garden/kitchen that's run by shirakumo, aizawa and mic. they all find a home at the garden and a family in each other, learning to grow things and cook food and share meals together. so far i only have a few pieces of dialogue and an outline but community gardens are very dear to me so im really really excited about this one jxkdjmzkzl

jirou momo college/coffee shop is exactly what it says on the tin jzkxjkrxjsdj. jirou is a music major and momo is a textiles major at the same college. jirou studies a lot at the coffee shop by the arts department and has a huge crush on the pretty girl that she sees there all the time. mina, kiri, and kami are part time baristas at the coffee shop and are like "jirou please just ask her out." snippet:

Sometimes he's here with a young woman, a beautiful girl with glossy dark hair and always dressed in the trendiest fashion. And they sit together to talk, and Kyouka hears the most angelic voice and laughter.

"You're staring again~"

Kyouka jumps at the sound of Ashido's teasing voice. "No I'm not!" She makes a fruitless attempt at cooling the heat rushing to her face.

"You totally were! I don't even know why you're still trying to deny it."

beep // miruko is a poem!! it's currently got two stanzas, one taking place in miruko's youth and one taking place (manga spoilers) around chapter 278 after the whole,,, losing her arm thing,,, with the intention of another stanza between the two and another for when she returns to the field

20 y/o hawks + his new sidekick is a pre-canon fic partially inspired by a convo @kkachis and @tohmatosauce had about how hawks' agency was likely opened by the HSPC before he was of age, so it was likely run by the HSPC for the first few years before he took more control of it. it'll mainly be about my (currently unnamed and underdeveloped jzjsdzhdk) 18 year old chaotic sidekick oc being mentored by 20 year old overworked hawks, as he starts to run things on his own, and questioning the authority and righteousness of the HSPC. i keep putting off writing this because i a) feel the need to read vigilantes first and b) have too many ideas about which direction to take it, but here's a bit from the beginning:

"A sidekick like her is only going to bring your image down," the representative says. "We don't want society to have any doubts about your ability to protect them."

He trusted the HSPC to have the best interests of the greater good at heart, he really did. But at the same time, she was the first sidekick he'd been allowed to choose on his own. He didn't want to doubt the choice he had made; he wanted to believe that his 13 years of training meant he was able to see the potential of a good hero, that his judgment was right.

Kinda wish one of the pervious users of OFA had a mutant type quirk maybe an animal mutant type. Like let’s use Miruko for example. Izuku gains access to her quirk and suddenly Izuku sprouts rabbit ears and a tails. That would be hilarious on how he would try explaining it. Now I’m just imaging an AU where Miruko as was a pervious OFA user or if she took All Mights place in the story. We just need more mentor Miruko for Izuku as the manga had its chance but blew it by just handing it to Bakugo.

quirks

so, what allows for a rise in vigilantism?

well, quirks are treated as alienating and other; it makes it commonplace to have some sort of nullification for it, either a bracelet or an implant. quirkless people are treated as more of "the ideal", a human unmarred by the unnatural existence of quirks.

this means the only profession to embrace quirks and respect them is heroism, though it's strongly biased against mutant-type quirks and anything that can't be easily marketed or hidden.

it also causes an extreme difference between different "opinions" on hero society, creating a stark contrast and carrying contradictory laws.

being a hero is more of a "show of power" than anything, being able to use your quirk and have it seen as something that makes you better than other people, not different. it means the pros that really want to help people are few and far between.

this causes a rise in vigilantism, because the pros are there for the fame and fortune and not to make society better, and because vigilantes are less prone to using their quirks.

so how do vigilantes function?

wouldn't they be identified by their quirks, and how do they keep their identities hidden? how do they manage double lives?

well, they don't. it's not easy being a vigilante, you know. a lot of them scrape by without their quirks at all; it's easy to stay hidden if the registry can't be used to find them.

vigilantes like red riot and burnstrike are legally dead. while red riot doesn't use his quirk because he doesn't want any detectives to get lucky, burnstrike's civilian identity was all but erased after his death.

shouto's legal status is "missing" and due to the fact that he never uses his left side and goes to great lengths to keep his identity hidden, it's impossible to connect the dots

chargebolt's quirk was never registered, as he was abandoned when it manifested due to the death of his father. (c.o.d. - electrocution. chargebolt was three.)

miruko's an ex-hero and therefore doesn't care about her identity remaining hidden - this is also the case with acid reign, or mina ashido, as she toes the line of villain so often.

dynamight's quirk registration was tampered with before he was legally declared "missing" at 15, and later declared "dead" on his 18th birthday. so he's legal quirk is "sparkler", allowing light to jump off his palms, and he's legally dead. double hit.

shinsou - he still doesn't have a vigilante name, and goes to great lengths to stay out of the media - manages a double life quite well; his identity stays hidden due to his anonymous status and he works a day job at a local coffee shop. he thinks it's a damn good combination,

tsukoyami's quirk was one he was born with, and its "monstrous" nature meant his birth was never actually officially recorded.

and when it comes to "managing double lives", well, most of them don't. red riot gets money from his parents, who know he's alive, dynamight uses his mentor's resources; burnstrike and shouto bounce from place to place, as do most of the rest of them.
