I felt drawn to use my #mermaidoracle deck this morning (maybe because Im headed to the #bayarea later?) to get a feel for the energy this week. Today we are being presented with #thereturnofaphrodite. This is a good time to find sensuality and beauty within yourself (after all we're still in #taurusseason). Aphrodite is the goddess of sensuality, sex, pleasure, and lust. Indulging this side of ourselves in a grounded and productive way is vital. Being in touch with our bodies, celebrating, nurturing, and nourishing it in whatever way it comes. There is no wrong way to have a body, to love, to create community. This card is a reminder of the celebration of femmes, women, and trans people. A celebration of feminine energy, which we all poses regardless of sex or gender identity or expression. Especially those of us who are masculine presenting are being asked to appreciate and uplift this in ourselves and those around us. When we forsake the feminine energy we forsake ourselves. Find ways to do right by women, femmes, and trans people this week without thinking of how it will be given back to you. To people who fall into the categories of woman/femme-hood how can you uplift your fellow women and femmes?
