•(0:00) – Introduction

Adam Malin is standing near the mic on stage, introducing the boys.

Malin: -Jarrrreeeed! (audience claps and cheers)

A door on the back wall from the right of stage opens up. Jensen with Jared following walk into the room followed by a team of bodyguards. J2 wave at the gold audience and then step on stage with one mic stand. Camera’s from the audience are constantly flashing.

Jensen: Hi. (audience giggles)

Jared: Hello guys. (leans over to the singular mic) They’re make us, like, accidentally touch faces and what. (audience laughs) Good morning. (to Jensen) I don’t think it’s early as probably last time.

Jensen: (reaches to the mic stand’s ) (to Jared) I think I’m gonna raise this up (Jared: Yeah!) for big guy here. (audience laughs)

◘Jensen LA SPN convention-06 Bfast 01-11 by DW&DW◘

Jared: I decided to pick (points to the end of the stage) the short cut on this side of the stage instead of going on the way in. (audience giggles) Well, welcome to, uh, LA-

Jensen: Who’s- Who’s not awake? (raises hand up high) (audience giggles and raises their hands) (flings arm to his right) Good to know. Good to know.

Jared: (reaches for the mic) I’ll take over then. (to the audience) Where y’all come from? Anybody, uh, far away or anybody here local?

The audience starts yelling out answers. Jensen walks behind to the other side of Jared and takes off his jacket and tosses it to the end of the stage.

Jared: (looks back and forth) Where are y’all from? (audience member: France!) France! I was just in France. I got engaged in France. (Jensen starts clapping. Then audience claps and cheers) I wish she was here now because, um, (?she could?), um, (?she could tell?), but I was, uh- January 28th. It was our four-year anniversary at (?). (audience aws) (adjusts the mic stand) And so, I’m a very lucky man. But that was in, uh, in Paris. (?Had to do the-?) (swipes hands out)

Audience member: Eiffel Tower?

Jared: I- it wasn’t at the Eiffel Tower. I heard that Tom Cruise done that. And I was like, (shakes head) “I don’t know if I wanna-” (audience laughs) So, um- And actually a credit to.. the show and the word that y’all helped spread, I was getting recognized a lot in France. And I was just- Strangely, I was like- We were in the Louvre and, um, you know, where these priceless paintings and these sculptures and everything. (audience laughs) And people are walking past, like, holding their pictures up and I’m like, “That’s (?Menoi?)! Why are you all like-” (audience laughs, Jensen smiles)

Um, but I just- I- We- I ended up doing it in the hotel room. Uh, because I- I didn’t want.. the moment to be like.. (mimics kneeling looking up) “Will you-“ “Take a picture of?” (mimics getting up and posing with fans) (audience laughs) I went back. And so, uh, we had a nice private day and had massages and everything. (audience giggles) But I did great. So- So, thank you I guess. (laughs then looks at Jensen)

Jensen: Heh, yeah. (?You startin’ to?) sweat now?

Jared: Heey. I borrowed this set- this shirt from set, so. (audience giggles) I’m Sam today. (hands coat to someone off stage) Thank you, sir. Yeah.

Jensen: The whole outfit to. (audience chuckles)

Jared: I know, yeah. But I didn’t borrow (pats pants) this. This I stole after season one. (lifts left leg and pats shoe) This I stole after season two. (audience laughs) (to Jensen) The belt, I think, is also season two.

Jensen: Well, you know, all the time we have to actually shop (?at the end of the day?).

Jared: Right. Right. Right. And, they- And they’re much better than I am at shopping for clothes. (Jensen: Yeah.) So, I just sort of run into the wardrobe trailer for something (?wear?) around the knees?

Jensen: Oh, the whole thing.

Jared: Yeah. (audience laughs) Yeah. That’s one person’s job.

(to the audience) Anything else? Y’all have questions? Y’all are excited to be here or? (audience affirms and cheers) Thanks again for (throws hands up) one of the-

Jensen: (scoots closer to Jared) It- it used to be like a-like a camera phone (?).

Jared: Yeah. Yeah, right.

Jensen: (gestures to the crowd) Now we have actual video cameras on you (?). (audience laughs) (looks at a watch) Which does mean this will be on YouTube in about three minutes. So watch what you say.

Jared: So, I can watch it and see how.. dorky I.. (audience laughs) will be.

Jensen: Ah, yeah. Absolutely.

Jared: That is fun actually. I- you know I- I don’t know. Jensen makes fun of me.

Jensen: I saw- (facepalms) I saw the thing on TV last night. I don’t know the guy’s name, but, uh, it-it was just a clip of a commercial for a show. And it was just talking about the accessibility of YouTube. (audience chuckle) (laughs) And the guy says- the guy says, “YouTube!” (raises hands) “Bring me a farting Panda” (claps) (audience and Jared laughs)

(to Jared) I had to pause the television because I was laughing. (audience laughs) (shakes head) I love it. (wipes his face)

Jared: (thumbs to Jensen) Now you know that Jensen is looking up farting pandas. (Audience laughs. Jensen shrugs) I never found that. Uh-

Jensen: It’s what I do. (Jared: Yeah.) Yeah.

Jared: Uh… I remember last summer-

Jensen: This is what I do with my Saturday night. Yeah. (shrugs) (audience laughs)

Jared: I got to spend time with my family yesterday. My brother was in town. (swipes hand) My sister was in town. So, I’m really excited.

And I probably smell, because we stayed up late, so. (audience laughs) I apologize to anybody who I will be (Jensen mouths “He does” to the audience) close proximity to (audience laughs) later. I still smell a little bit. But I don’t get a chance to see them too often. So, he’s joining a convention of some sort for the doctor study- whatever they do. (swipes hand) It’s not important. (audience laugh) Just-

Jensen: Just saving the world.

Jared: Just saving the world. (shakes head and waves his hand) Nothing important.

Jensen: Nothing to see here.

Jared: Yeah. I always- I always find it funny, because I always call my brother (takes off beanie) and griping about something. I’m saying, “Ohh, I work 16 hours.” He’s like, “I’m an hour 48 at the hospital. I’ve had 93 minutes of sleep.” (laughs) I’m going, “Yeah. Yeah. I wasn’t griping or anything.” (shrugs) I was just like, (shrugs)” (audience laughs) “(?I wouldn’t want be?) my brother. I don’t wannna.. make it sound like, uh, bitching and moaning.”

Jensen: Going into surgery after an hour forty-eight?

Jared: Yeah. (Jensen: ?Wow?) (?It’s frightening to do that?) (audience laughs)

Jared: It’s always been, um- When I broke my hand and I had the cast on the show, I remember I was talking with the doctor who had done my hand- who had fix my wrist. And he was saying he and his partner one time with a 20 hour surgery- uh, this is kind of.. disgusting but, um- (audience laugh) A guy had cut his fingers off on a saw. So they had to go in and label all the little.. (jiggles head) like veins to the right veins with those little tags and sit there for twenty-eight hours. Neither of them slept. (nods) Yeah. So-

Jensen: So, good morning everybody! (claps) (audience laughs)

Jared: If y’all are tired then.. (swipe points) don’t gripe. Let me do it. (audience laughs)

I’ll just pass the mic to Jensen (Jensen: I don’t want it) because I’ll- I’ll sit here- (audience laughs)

Jensen steps away from the mic, but Jared leans it towards him.

Jensen: Thank you. Thank you. (steps back to the mic and says to the audience) Hi. (audience greets back) I have no stories to tell right now. (audience chuckles) Um-

A loud heavy thud interrupts Jensen and J2 look to their right. The audience make startled giggles in response. Jared points at the noises origin and then grabs the mic.

Jared: What’s in that glass? Can we get a smell check on.. (puts back the mic back)

•(2:00 DW, 0:23 BBS)- LA08Gold;T6- miniature impala

Audience member: We’ve got the prettiest girl in the room right here, the impala.

Jared: (holds hands out to audience member) That is- (claps and nods) That’s right.

Jensen: There’s my baby.

Jared: It was good to see that car again, for sure. (throws up hand) Yeah-

Jensen: Might have a little trouble fittin’ into that one. (audience laughs) But, yeah.

•(2:12 DW, 0:35 BBS)- LA08Gold;T7- Writer strike end; 4th season renewal

Jared: First off (claps) also (pats Jensen’s shoulder) I-I know I said I’d passed the mic to Jensen but I’m gonna (Jensen waves Jared on) (audience laughs) Let’s be happy that the writer’s strike finally ended. (clap) (Jensen: Ah [claps]) (audience cheers and claps)

(?Tomorrow, I’ll answer this?) you will find records or YouTubes of this. So let’s say, you know, thank you again to them. And getting us picked up for a fourth season. That was real (?nice of you?). (audience claps and cheers) (J2 talk off mic)

Jared: (to the audience) Kripke was here yesterday? (audience affirms)

Jensen: That’s wh- That’s- (grabs mic) That’s really what I wanted to talk to you guys about, is I wanna start asking you questions. (audience laughs) ‘Cause he doesn’t tell us anything. (slice hand motion) (audience laughs) It’s- Yeah, no, seriously people will ask-

Audience member: What do you want to know?

Audience member: What do you wanna know?

Audience member: We know everything!

Jensen: Uh, (gestures to himself) what happens with me? (audience laughs) Do I die? Do I die?

Jared: (grabs the mic and points to himself) What happens with me? Do I-

Jensen: (grabs the mic back) More importantly, what happens with me? (Jared laughs) No, really. Do you guys- Did he give you any, uh- uh-

Audience member: For five seasons!

Jensen: What?

Audience: Five seasons!

Jared: He said five seasons?

Audience member: Big cliffhanger! Big cliffhanger.

Audience member: They gonna leave!

Audience member: He said that y’all had called too!

Audience member: Yeah, dude you’re dead!

Jared places a hand on his chest and grimaces to Jensen.

Audience member: You died!

Jensen looks confused at the audience. The audience laughs.

Jared: (grabs mic) I put in a request for that, so. (swipes hand)

Jensen: (to Jared) Uh, there is the Supernatural comment box. (Jared and audience laugh)

◘ JA & JP LA Con Breakfast 30-03-08 by phouka◘

Audience member: You’re not coming back, Jensen.

Jensen: I’m not coming back? (Audience member: No.) (looks to Jared) Have fun. (audience laughs) (Jared: Great!) Have fun.

Jared: Maybe my hours will (audience chuckles) (to audience member) So, he said five seasons, huh? (audience affirms)

Audience member: He said- he said that y’all just don’t want to do more than that.

Jared: Oh, he did?!

Jensen: Oh, he blamed us! (audience giggles) (audience keeps yelling out things) (to Jared) I seem to recall having a very, very intimate conversation with the guy saying, (arm slice motion) “I don’t want to write past five.” (nods) “Okay, Eric.” (audience laughs) (thumbs up) “Sounds good, buddy.”

Jared: I- I think, uh, yeah. I think we have had.. a discussion with him before where he talks about.. He’s afraid if we go into.. season 20 like Bonanza, it’ll be Sam and Dean (audience laugh) like, (leans against the wall) sitting down on couches going, “(?There’s a handgun?)” (finger guns)-

Jensen: (mimics old!Dean using a walker with shaky hips) “Sam!” (audience and Jared laughs)

Jared: (mimics Jensen) You really need to do that butt shaking thing.

Jensen: (nods) I will. (audience laughs) I will. Absouletly.

◘LA Con Breakfast2 by runedgirl◘

Jared: I think that, uh-

Jensen: (to Jared) She got a kick out of that one.

Jared: I really want to see it again. (Jensen: No.) I wanted to see it. (shakes his head) I’m just kidding.

Jensen: I know you do.

Jared: I’d rather- I’d rather not see it ever.

Jared reaches for the mic stand, but the mic falls off. Jensen shakes his head. The audience laughs and Jared looks dejectedly at the empty mic stand. Jared then bends down and picks up the mic.

Jared: (to the audience) I’m certain that he did that. (audience laughs) (untangles the mic cord) I guess I’ve been drinking whatever she’s (points into the audience) drinking.

Jensen: Oh, sorry I dropped the microphone (mimics bending to pic up the mic), excuse me.

Jared: Now, let me turn around and-

Jared bends over to the side and shows the audience his butt. The audience catcalls, while Jared continues to untangle the mic cord from around the stand. Jared laughs at the reaction.

Jared: It’s not- It’s not a great site (?) (audience laughs) I wish it were something worth screaming for. (finishes untangling the cord) I don’t know how I got Sandy. (audience giggles)

•(3:11 BBS, 0:37 R)- LA08Gold;T10- SPN hiatus activities; Reaper

Jared: What have y’all guys been doing when Supernatural’s been off? What have y’all been watching? What’s going (?on?)? (audience yell out answers) (throws up hand) Really?

Jensen: (takes the mic stand) Well they’ve been watching Reaper cause they took our timeslot. (audience denies. Jared laughs and claps)

Jared: Good to know that y’all still prefer Sam of Supernatural to Sam of Reaper. Which (?confused me?). (audience squeals) I mean, I really enjoy the show, but when I was watching the first time I was going, “Why are they calling him Sam?” (audience laughs) “His name is Sam. Like, my name is Sam.” (audience giggles)

Jensen: (counts on his fingers) His name is Sam, the lead character. (Jared chuckles) Hunts demons and.. Okay. (wipes mouth) (audience laughs) (laughs) Okay.

•(3:51 BBS, 1:17 R)- LA08Gold;T11- 3x13

Jared: We just did an episode with the Hellhounds. The guys from, uh, season 1? The (audience cheers) I guess the episode called Hellhounds or Hell House? (audience affirms “Hell House”) So they’re back. A.J. and Travis are back with, um, this whole gang. People they call the Ghostfacers. And it’s a really neat episode. I don’t know if Kripke talked about it? (audience affirms) And it’s all shot on video cams.

And so it’s interesting to go and shot a take and, uh- We all go watch it and laugh and go, “Huh, this playback thing is kind of fancy.” (audience laugh) (?The difference between?) light it and shoot it, and go back and change, light it and shoot it and go back and change, work on our lot. It was kind of fun, to not have marks and not hit lights.

The experience with (?) was nice to actually just act and not just feel like.. (mini pose) minding my lights, posing for the camera (?).

Jensen: Because that’s all you do. (audience laughs)

Jared: (shrugs) (shrugs) I got nothing. (audience giggles)

Jensen: No, it was. It wa- it was like, uh, took us- took us out of our element because, you know, there’s a technical of- a technical side of acting was kind of forms in your brain once you do it for so long. And (shrugs) you know, to-to kind of strip that away all of a sudden you’re left with nothing but lines and- and reacting off of characters. So- (shrugs) So, it’s kind of cool (?episode, you know, like in theatre?). But, uh-

And then, you know, these little tiny cameras. You know, (Jared: Yeah.) you’re- you’re- you’re used to having the camera. And if you’re in front of it, you gotta be bringing up the performance a little bit, because as soon as it goes off, you’re like, “Pbft” (mimics walking away) (Jared and the audience laugh)

Jared: (?of course?)

Jensen: Well, unbeknownst- So, unbeknownst to us in the beginning there’s camera’s like (points different angles) (?tight and wide?), (Jared: That’s right.) there’s a camera over here, and there’s a over there. So, we’re never off (Jared: Yeah) camera. So it’s a constant, uh- it’s-it’s a constant barrage of filming.

Jared: I think it’s nine or eleven, some.. strange odd number (Jensen: Ten) of- Ten. (audience giggles) (points to head) With cameras and little head cams and little, uh.. uh, little cams that are.. attached on a (?face thing?). It was really interesting to shoot. I really had a good time. So, I hope y’all guys liked it. Um-

Jensen: Yup. It’s a little different.

Jared: It is different. But I think- I think, uh, (?it reminds me of?) It’s kind of that handheld feel which we haven’t had a.. really a lot of chances to do on this show.

Jensen: Hey, what’s the movie that came out recently, uh-

Jared: Cloverfield (claps)

Jensen: (nods) Cloverfield.

Jared: So, I didn’t get the chance to see it, but I heard it was great. Uh, so I’d like to see it but- I think it’s- I think they said Cloverfield but not (?a shape?). I didn’t see it, so I don’t know.. what that means. But, I guess it was kind of Blair Witch Cloverfield style of TV show.

Jensen: (?) 50 incher and you’re like, (mimics throwing up) (audience laughs)

Jared: It was also much tougher for them to hide my height. It was.. watching random cameras that might look down at the ground. They’re like, “Can’t really squat.” (awkwardly squats) (audience laughs) “I can’t really like, (spreads his legs) go like this.” (audience laughs) (tosses up hands) “I guess I just gotta be tall.” (audience laughs)

We have a- we have a girl named Brittany, who’s one of the guest stars. And she’s, uh, she’s about yea high. So, she’s got a little camera. And every time she looks at me or Jensen, she’s like this. (mimics pointing the camera up) (Jensen mimics her too) And the ceiling is gone, because they’re all in these, uh, you know- (Jensen: Sets.) Yeah, it’s all sets. So, they’re like, “Uhhh, could you just hold (mimics holding the camera above his head) it above your (?)?” (audience laughs)

So, Phil was directing. And they ended up making her put the little screen down and sit there and (mimics holding the camera way above his head) hold on it’s (?strung out and running into things?). It was pretty fun to watch. (audience and Jensen laugh) Next time I want to be operator.

Jensen: The challenges. (Jared: Yeah.) (?It’s all challenges?)

Jensen: I do. (audience woos and claps) (grabs the mic) Hit it! (audience laughs.) I don’t know who I’m talking to. (audience laughs) (shrugs) Uhhh, (looks around the room) any questions, guys? Any, uh- (Jared: Yeah! Yeah.) Give us something to talk about, for crying out loud. (audience giggles) Sitting up here like puppets. (raises head at fan) Yes. Yes.

• (0:30 JL, 0:18 DW, 0:07 BBS)- LA08Gold;Q1- Fight scenes; Women vs Men (2x15)

Fan: I-I guess, general question. So, um, in terms of the- the combat or the fighting scenes and stuff that you do, do you find- are they choreographed enough that it doesn’t make a difference, or when your actually fighting women or they’re, ehm, you know, the fembots in the Trickster episode or things like that. D- Is- is there a difference, um, when you’re- when you’re interacting in a fight scene like that with a woman vs a male, er, man or actor or actress?

Jensen: Uhhh, well yeah. Absolutely. Th- You know, (shrugs) you want to be.. You know, g-guys, uh- We- we get physical with the- with the fights and, uh- You know, I’m- I’m gonna.. actually steal a-a quote that, uh, Harrison Ford said it recently. He said, uh, when they asked him, they were like, “So, about the new Indiana Jones movie, so you’ll be doing all your- all your stunts?” And he goes, “Oh, I don’t do stunts. Uh, I run, jump, and fall down.” (audience laughs. Jared smiles)

And, (shrugs) which is basically what we do. The stunt guys are the ones that do the- the really, you know.. t-the dangerous things. But, uh, the hand to hand combat stuff we do- It’s, uh- It’s choreographed out to an extent, but once- once you get the, you know, sound roll and the camera’s start rolling and stuff, it intensifies.

So, we always try to rehearse at half speed because you know as soon the, uh- as soon as the camera starts rolling that- that adrenaline, uhh, kicks in and you start going really fast. And then that’s when- Well, I mean (thumbs at Jared) you know he- he broke his wrist last season.

Uhm, so, uh, but, yeah. I-I- I’d say when, you know, when dealing- We normally deal with stunt guys. So, when we’re- when we’re fighting someone it’s usually a stunt person. So, you know, they can take a- a crack open head. Or they’re very, uh, (snaps fingers) you know, they have- they have spatial awareness about them that- that is great for fighting with us.

Um, and, uh- and usually the women that we fight are stunt women as well. So, I mean-

Jared: Tougher than the stunt men. (audience laughs)

Jensen: And- Good, because I mean, (thumbs to Jared) to kick his ass. (Jared and the audience laugh) Uh,

Jared: (rotates his fingers) So, in turn..

Jensen: (points to himself) Not me.

Jared: (points at Jensen) Really. Really. (audience laughs)

Jensen: No. So, it’s, y-you know, it just depends on, eh, sometimes if w- were doing it with an actor or an actress or if we’re doing it with a stunt person, kind of how (flings hand), you know, how full tilt we get.

Jared: (nods) Yeah, that’s, from (thumbs at Jensen) my part, I would say it’s- it’s.. not so much man or woman but more-

Jensen: (holds up mic stand and shakes it) Do we even need this? Do you guys hear us? (audience affirms)

Jared: (grabs mic stand from Jensen) I want the mic. I like it. (laughs)

Jensen: (gestures to go ahead) Get the spotlight (?coming for you?). (thumbs to Jared) (audience laughs)

Jared: Yeah, I thought I had the spotlight on me. No, it’s not- For-For my money, it’s not so much man or woman, but actor or stunt actor, you know? Because, like (thumbs to Jensen) he was saying, like, with.. uh, kind of hinted at this- the stunt women are.. tough as nails also. And a lot of them are like ex-fighters and, you know, trained in kick boxing and (throws up hand) could kick my ass. (throws up hand) And so could kick his ass. But, um, so-

Jensen: What is the, uh- Where was the- In the- the changelings’ episode, uh, (Jared: We were in, uh, “Nightshifter.”) at the very end, uh, the mother changeling, uh- (audience answers “The Kids Are Alright”) (Jared: Yeah.) And I’ve been known to knock the breath outta of, uh, (gestures to Jared) like Lou’s, uh, son Nick. (Jared: Oh, yeah.) Yeah. Like, our stunt coordinator Lou Bollo.. he has a son named Nick. Uh, he’s very into, uh,-

Jared: He’s been- he’s been in several stunts.

Jensen: He’s been in a lot of stuff and, uh-

Jared: In the prison episode he was (mimics lifting and tossing) picked up and launched on to the- the (Jensen nods), uh, table.

Jensen: And this is in theee, what would have been, uh, “Skin.” Uh, first season. He comes- And he comes into the door ‘cause one of the, uh- uh, SWAT guys. And just give him (mimics kick) a soccer kick right to his- right in his chest and he just goes flying out the door. (audience laughs) Because Lou, his father, was like (leans in and whispers), “Kick him hard.” (audience laughs) (holds out hands) “Alright.”

Jared: (leans into the mic) That’s when he needed the microphone. (holds the mic to Jensen)

Jensen: “Kick it- Kick him- Kick him hard.” (audience laughs)

Jared: (takes the mic back) Now, back to me.

Jensen: But- But I really- I d- the-the lady from the from changelings, I mean, I- I punted her so hard that after- after every take I’m like, (bends down) “I’m so sorry. (?)” (audience laughs) And she popped right up. She’s like, (shakes head) “I’m good.” (audience laughs)

Jared: (strained voice) “I’m good.” (audience laugh)

Jensen: Yeah, (?like that?). (Jared laughs) (strained voice) “Medic.” (Jared and audience laugh)

Jared: You know what? It didn’t take us that long-

Jensen: (shakes head) (says something off mic)

Jared: I’ll answer that. I will say-

Fan: Can you do it for us?

Jared: It was- um, You know what? I wish I remembered it. That’d be fun. But, it was- it was something that- We-We… If we’re filming at the same time, we usually get picked up in the same car every day. So, we ride.. to work together and we’ll go through our lines and go through scenes and ideas and whatever for the forty-five minutes or however long it takes to get to work. Uh-

And so, that day.. it was- We were- We had to do that. And then the right up before the take we ran into, uh, (thumbs to Jensen) his trailer or my trailer going , “Okay, let’s do it.” “Blah, blah, blah, blah.” “Bluh, bluh, bluh, bluah.”

I will say, that the only reason it took.. a long time (laughs) to- (points at Jensen) You kept saying, “Of the,” instead of, “the” or something.

Jensen raises his eyebrows and shrugs twice, smirking. The audience laughs.

Jared: And it’ll probably be in the outtakes. (laughs) It’ll probably be in the outtakes because I remember after the beat, he’d have add something, which made sense. The line- There was- I don’t remember the line.. But-

Jensen: (shrugs) Apparently, I didn’t either. (audience chuckles)

Jared: Correct speech was like, “Something of the something.” But the way it was written was without the of. So, I kept skipping the “of”.. (pointedly turns to Jensen and speaking directly into the mic) referring to the script. (audience laughs) Jensen was adlibbing. (Jensen nods and smacks his lips)

Jensen: (to Jared) Referring to my acting talent.

The audience laughs. Jared turns and nods, and then bursts out laughing. Jensen smiles. The audience starts clapping.

Jared: Touché. Touché.

Jensen: Um, so we- we- we actually got that pretty quick. In fact, (Jared: ?Yeah?) uh, one of the- one of the- the harder things about doing.. film or- or television like this is.. You know, in normal life people talk over each other. You know, that’s just- that’s just the way we, you know, we conversate. It is, uh, it- it-

Jared: (gets closer) I totally hear that. (audience laughs) (?) that’s Right. (Jensen: I could tell.) It seems to be a-a normal way to talk. (can’t hear the rest) (J2 separate and Jared laughs)

Jensen: Um, and we- we-we love to actually do scenes like that, but our-our sound guy would, you know, probably (turns to Jared) pull his hair out. (Jared: Right. Yeah.) (nods) So, we have to (hand chops) have that separation.

So, whenever we do stuff like that it’s- it’s strategic (claps). Like, we’re in (?)

Jared: We actually did this scene, um, I guess, Friday. Um, (Jensen: [nods] Yep) We were in the quad of UBC campus and, uh, the scene kind starts getting heated up. It’s-

Jensen: Supernatural! (audience laughs) (J2 bend over laughing)

Jared: Yeah, we need to tell that one.

Jensen: (?Y’all know how the story ends?) (audience giggles)

Jared: Um.. But the scene starts to get heated up. And we had found this really, I thought, comfortable rhythm of, you know, he- his line takes it to the next level, which takes us to the next level, then we start yelling at each other. And it felt pretty good and it felt real. And, like, he said, a lot of the times we found that getting into a heated discussion, especially, the kind of (Jensen: (?)) not really listening, your just kind of blabbing, you know?

Um, but they had the- they were like, “Okay. Bob (?didn’t have a good listen?). No (?cue?) sound. Don’t lose the energy, but can we break apart the lines?” “Well, uh, you know, it’s gonna lose some of the energy, but, um-“ (?what I think I’ll?) probably go through the takes and see if they can make it work. And, uh, go from that.”

Jensen: Well, you just trust your editors to.. make it right. Edited it the way you want it to be performed. And unfortunately, sometimes you can’t perform it that way, you just got to trust your editors that they will.. cut it together (?that way, so?). (Jared: Right.) Um-

Jensen: Yeah. Nah, I was- I was just saying, uh, Supernatural. (smiles)

Jensen: W-When we were at the- the shooting at the- the campus, we went to lunch and we got in, uh- um, we get driven around in a very large SUV. (holds a hand out) (Jared: Yea.) (?Unless you’re aware?). (Jared and the audience laugh) Uhhh-

Jensen mimics the student walking, recognizing Jared, slowing down, and then staring at Jared with an open mouth. The audience laughs. Jensen then mimics the student looking back at the SUV.

And- a-and then he’s looking, and I’m getting out of the backseat. (Jared laughs) And then he goes, (mimics the student’s mouth opening wider) (audience laughs) And the only thing he could muster was, “Supernatural!” (audience laughs then claps) And then he walks off. (zoom gesture)

Jared: There’s- yeah. (nods) that’s exactly. Exactly. That was a funny thing to happen on set when you get to.. go out. (points to his left) Yes.

And- and- Uh, I know a lot who watch, um.. like Grey’s Anatomy, and CSI and stuff, which are all great shows, but a lot of ‘em watch it just because their friends at work watch it. So, they want to know what they’re talking about. It’s like, “You know what? I hang out with five people, they all watch it. So, I’ll gonna watch it myself just so I can know what they’re talking about if they’re talking about this or talking about that.”

But, y’all actually.. Y’all are supporting us and supporting the show. And that’s priceless. And so, we’re gonna back to work this week and we’re gonna have tons of faces and tons of.. praise and flattery and a lot of support for what we do. Because, it gets tough out there.

And, I mean, Friday March 28th, and we’re sitting out there and it’s snowing snowmen. It’s not- (audience laughs) (?) like, one knocked me on the ground. (Jensen molds his hands into a circle. Audience laughs) I hear (?Ginger?) going, “Really? We really have to work today? Like, half the world would call a snow day for this and we’re going to work.” (audience laughs)

But, you remember why you’re doing it. You can see (gestures to the audience) your faces and.. you know, hear your support for the show. (audience and J2 clap)Jared: We’ll do one more (points to his left) then we’ll (?).

She has always been positive and she loves you guys. And you are the two that keep her happy. You’re the guys she dates. (Jared: [shrugs] Thank you.) Because she doesn’t- (audience laughs) Now she see’s nobody. She’s in her room. She’s got (?) Deficiency Disorder from mono really bad. So, she’s gonna be in the hospital and she’ll be sick in two days from being here. But we had to come, because you’re the ones that are keeping her sane. Thank you. (audience claps)

Jared: I’m kind of (?amazed you’re spinning some kind of romance?). You. You in the black.

Jared rushes off stage and hide behind the bodyguards. He then beckons Jensen to come at him.

Jensen picks up the mic stand in offense, pointing the stand’s legs at Jared. But, then he puts it back down and Jared joins him back on stage.

Jensen: (to the audience) Alright guys, thank you.

The audience cheers and claps. Jared claps before both J2 walk off stage.

There's something very funny about receiving a request to cover a rip I've never heard of, literally ONE DAY before it gets played live at SiIvaGunner team's MAGFest Chipspace show. But, to both the submitter, and to vvsvlogs herself for playing the rip at her set - thank you SO much to introducing me to Mother, Father, TechnoMan. I am always, ALWAYS down to cover more Anamanaguchi music on here.

I haven't made my love for the aforementioned band much of a secret on here: while I am still pretty poorly versed in the music world as a whole, I have listened to the entire discography of Anamanaguchi, most known nowadauentire discography. after initially discovering them through Scott Pilgrim, and immediately fell in love with their sound. With Give Me the Fantasy, I was a bit more self-indulgent than usual and covered a mashup between their hit song Endless Fantasy and Pitbull, and more recently with 88811 I covered a rip I now call one of my all-time, most-underrated favorites. Now with a mashup, and a melody swap, it's time to shift into overdrive - Mother, Father, TechnoMan is a full-on mashup medley, with so many pieces that elevate an already incredible track into all-new levels of sheer hype. Hype that vvsvlog's set at Chipspace, MAGFest, only heightens.

Because even though I was merely watching the set streamed through Twitch, it was incredible clear to me just how much sheer energy and fun exuded from the entirety of vvsvlog's show at MAGFest. And really, it's Mother, Father, TechnoMan's part of it that best illustrates it, as seen at around 01:28:40 in the Twitch VOD. Right after she'd poured her heart out performing The Paragoomba and the Wiggler with live sing-along, the music fades, the visuals turn black, and she takes a few steps away from the mic, as if to end the set, met with claps from everyone in the crowd... And then, it plays: "MOTHER - FATHER - GENTLEMEN !!" - and immediately, vvsvlogs springs back to the microphone with absolutely infectious silly-mode energy. From absolutely HITTING a Fortnite dance in time with the opening Space Jam mashup that revs up the rip, to miming along with the lyrics to Last Resort, to the neverending bounce and energy present in general, it becomes just, abundantly clear to me how much vvsvlogs LOVES doing what she does.

It's not that I'm trying to review the Chipspace performance itself here - rather, I simply think it illustrates the magic of rips like Mother, Father, TechnoMan so perfectly. There's just a feeling of joy, a feeling of pure fun to be found in these rips, the ones that are just covered in so many layers of noise, the meme mashups like Memey Hell or Everybody's Special Course, or so many others. And Mother, Father, TechnoMan just channels that energy so expertly though its pingponging of lyrically-driven sources, all tweaked to fit the high-pitched emotion that defines Anamanaguchi's sound. Space Jam, Last Resort, a chorus introduced by Initial D Eurobeat before being overtaken by Linkin Park, which fucking HITS those high notes to a level I never thought would be possible...through it all, it feels as if these sources are all tied together through the power of raw excitement. Excitement that I feel every time I listen to it, and excitement that vvsvlogs is evidently well equipped to handle.

In closing, I love Mother, Father, TechnoMan, I love Anamanaguchi, I loved MAGFest 2024, and I do love SiIvaGunner...But, as a sleep-deprived yet adrenaline-fueled me wrote at 01:17:23 in the aforementioned Twitch stream's chat:

Machi's 2023 Year In Review

'23 was a bit of a wild one. A toast to the last twelve months (both in fandom and IRL) under the cut.

Fic

Here's what went out the door in '23:

Naruhata Noir

I started posting NN in December '22, about a month after finishing 9L. At one point last year I joked about finishing the entire thing in the week between Christmas and New years. Evidently, this did not happen for a variety of reasons:

A) A series of events occurring in my personal life that do not merit further detail that I will herein refer to as "the conga line of nonsense". That kicked off during last year's holiday season and bled into like...May. Which leads directly into:

B) Tears of the Kingdom came out. And;

C) A general loss of motivation in the project.

During the aforementioned Conga Line of Nonsense, I had a goal of finishing before TotK came out, but I only managed to cobble together another 4 chapters between January and May. After somehow managing weekly to biweekly chapters for 9L, NN was much more sporadic, and at one point I had people asking me if I was still alive. Which. sucked, since I generally strive to be a somewhat reliable person.

Once the TotK hyperfixation hit, I managed maaaaaaybe another 2 chapters before I finally got bored of grinding monsters to upgrade outfits. I did manage to meet the third self-imposed deadline of finishing before going to Japan for 2 weeks, so at least that's one W.

In addition to the distractions of Life, NN was more challenging to write for a few main reasons:

Aizawa is not the narrator. Look, I'm mature enough to acknowledge that he is Blorbo From My Shows, and everything I write wants to revolve around him. Taking a step back from that and trying to get into another character's head after spending 8 solid months on 9L was an adjustment. It took me a bit of time to find Shinsou's voice.

Most of the relationship dynamics in this fic are non-canonical, and pulled directly out of my ass. Shinsou's relationships with the Hottas are central to the back half of the fic, and his relationship with Mirko also becomes prominent at times. NONE OF THESE CHARACTERS HAVE EVER INTERACTED IN REAL LIFE I'M JUST SMASHING DOLLS TOGETHER LIKE I DID AS A 7 YEAR OLD.

Trying to parallel something I already wrote several months ago is hard. I wanted NN to make sense on its own, but also follow the relevant bits from 9L. This was next to impossible to accomplish without sounding clunky. Almost from the very beginning of the fic, the outsider's perspective of Aizawa's first steps, I felt the urge to change the dialogue because the story that I wanted to tell from Shinsou's perspective was different from the one I wanted to tell from Aizawa's perspective. I locked myself into that rigidity for a while, until I finally decided just to say fuck it at the end and modify the 9L dialogue slightly because the story had taken on a life of its own.

Erasermic took a major backseat in this one, but I still needed to scratch the itch, and I think that's why I ended up writing 2 emic one shots in between chapters.

I don't think a direct parallel spin-off is something I would try writing again, and the fic was probably a lot longer than it needed to be, but at the end of the day, I'm satisfied with the way it turned out, and I'm happy I was actually able to finish it this year.

Being No One, Going Nowhere

The first of the 3 one shots that I put out this year, and a proof of concept that I can slap together 3k in a day and a half fever dream and call it a fic.

This one in particular was instigated by one of @o0fyuu0o's tweets that refused to leave me alone. And maybe also the two broken arms story from reddit, but you know, like, less incesty.

Mic was extremely pathetic in this one, which is immensely fun to write. Just a pathetic little meow meow. Sopping wet cat of a man.

College AU was fun to write, emboldened in part by @kyurilin's fic Stray. After being married to canon-verse for both 9L and NN, this was an exercise in just making shit up, and also living vicariously through the memories of the house I lived in for the better part of 2 years as an undergrad. I graduated 7 years ago and it is still crystallized in my memory.

A Tumultuous Sea, You and Me

I've been nursing a healthy crush on Pirate!Aizawa (or Paizawa, as the kids on JP Twit call him) since the Volume 35 character page came out in June '22. Paizawa even killed a 2 year long art block, that's how powerful he is. (Look!)

I do not remember what exactly spurned this one on, but it also got written in the span of about 2 days. I think I reread The Art of Drowning at some point this year, but I do not remember if it was during the writing frenzy, or sometime before it.

Aizawa gets to hold the meow meow card again in this one. His 2 sentence rivalry with Vlad is one of the best things I've ever written.

Of the 2 days I spent writing this, I probably spent 75% of that researching pirate ships. I used almost none of it, and have forgotten almost all of it by this point.

I feel like everyone that dips their toes into the realm of merpeople has a different interpretation on it, but I wanted to spend approximately 0 minutes on worldbuilding, so it's just kind of a chill coexistence between the pirates and the mermaids in this one lol. People were intrigued by said "worldbuilding" however and wanted more, but I think I've scratched the mer-pirate itch for now haha.

1966 Ford Nutstang GT350 Shelby

@kyurilin made a tumblr post that misspelled "mustang" as "nustang" and I skim-read it and saw "nutstang" and was like "you know what would be a terribad nickname for the car? Nutstang." At which point I immediately informed her, which led down the rabbit hole of a very loose RP (as it often does) and I decided YOU KNOW WHAT? I SHOULD JUST TURN THIS INTO A CRACK FIC.

At which point I had to sort of construct a loose plot around the entire bonkers concept. Nemuri held a key role in the pseudo-RP, but I ended up wanting to keep the fic tight and her role was mostly cut. But rest assured she is there in spirit, though, judging.

The plush nutsack is just a bastardization of a kangaroo ballsack coinpurse I saw in a Crap Souvenirs From Around The World calendar I had many years back that has imprinted on my memory. At no point did I seek out visual reference for it, and neither should you. It is up to the reader's imagination.

On the topic of bastardizations, the reappearing nutsack plotline is borrowed from the drawfee gnome saga.

Every time a piece of art drops on my dash, or I see my fic being recommended to other people, my brain does a lil short circuit and I have to go get up and walk around for a bit. I'm not sure words can express how much it means to me that people have enjoyed my writing enough to recommend it to other people, or sit down and create something of their own based off of it. It's humbling, and I'm truly grateful for every kind word or "sketch I should have maybe spent a little longer on" hahaha

Stats!

Look, I'm an engineer. I can't resist the thrall of Microsoft Excel. So here's A Chart.

I value Bookmarks the highest of all the stats that AO3 spits out. Views are pointless (skewed higher in the context of multi-chap fics). Kudos are an indicator of how many people read and liked enough to leave a kudos, but bookmarks are my indicator of how many people liked it enough to keep it around to read again, or recommend to others.

The bookmark-to-kudos ratio is (in my unscientific opinion) a measure of how many people loved the work vs how many people just liked it.

From the chart above, we can propose the following conclusions:

9L is still, far and away, the most popular, and most well-loved thing I've ever written. I'm fine with that.

The Nutstang fic was a certified cult classic, with a bookmark-to-kudos ratio of almost 0.3, second to only 9L.

NN is at a respectable ratio of 0.24 (middle of the pack), but in terms of number of kudos, is not that far ahead the mer-pirate fic. NN was not tagged as erasermic, so I do think this checks out in terms of sheer exposure.

FFXII AU

I started this one in March during the conga line of personal life nonsense. I somehow lured in Robbirdthe8th and @o0fyuu0o and @obsessed-dragon and got a solid month of drafting done before I was like "maybe I should work on NN again" and then it sat dormant until like. October.

It's up to almost 30k across 3 partially written chapters already, and I outlined 9 chapters. It is almost certainly overambitious, and I will almost certainly run into the same motivation issue I had with NN because it's a rooftop 4 fic and not just erasermic, and it has a demographic of approximately four people as an AU of a game that came out in uh........2006.

I thought I'd get at least some of it out in '23 but I'm taking it easy and just writing when inspiration strikes at the moment.

Fortuneteller AU

I started this one maybe a week-ish ago, in my quest for a pitch for the erasermic zine (surprise! they haven't made official announcements yet, but I'll be in it. this is an easter egg for those of you who made it this far). It's going to end up far too long for the 3k word limit for that, so I'm just co-opting it for another one-shot. Taisho era urban fantasy dabbling in some Violet Evergarden/FMA-esque post-war themes. Mic with pince nez. Aizawa in hakama. Gratuitous amateur tarot. It has gripped me by the throat.

When The Battle's Lost and Won

A final battle post-mortem in 4 parts (if 3baka all make it out alive that is). Every few chapters of canon that come out, something gets added or tossed. Extremely fluid at this point, but there are some good quality blurbs and bullet points in there.

Kintsugi

The erasermic epilogue to 9L, from Mic's perspective. An exploration of their relationship beyond the final battle, with an overarching theme that I've borrowed from a Dorktown documentary on former Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Dave Stieb: Not at all, and then all at once.

This one's just pure body worship, punctuated by an extremely casual marriage proposal. A lot of people still comment on 9L like "THIS CAN'T BE IT, WHERE'S THE REST OF IT?", so I hope this will satisfy those looking for some closure from a relatively open ending.

The Way of the Househero

With the impending graduation of the hell class, and a body that doesn't quite move the way it used to, Aizawa has a bit of an existential crisis and semi-retires so he can be a full-time parent to Eri while figuring out what's next for him. Mostly slice of life. No real plot to this one yet, mostly just vignettes. Aizawa finally gets cats of his own, makes mom friends, and becomes more of a knife slut (only its in the kitchen now instead of on the streets).

IRL

Painting

Every room in my home is painted some sort of bland pastel, and this year we managed to purge pastels from four rooms: my home office, our living room / dining room, and our bedroom. I am enormously pleased with how each of these have turned out.

Gardening

We moved to this house in January '22, and last year was mostly seeing what came up in the garden. This year we cleared out a lot of the decorative shrubs in our backyard (turns out you can hock shrubs on facebook marketplace), and planted a veggie garden. The extent of my gardening experience prior to this year was mowing the lawn as a teenager, so this year was a continuous learning experience, and likely will be for many more years to come.

We had some big wins (potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, cherries, squash, dear god the squash), and some losses (apples that were infested with tent caterpillars, arugula that bolted, and lettuce that got eaten by bunnies to name a few).

In addition to veggies, we also did a lot of general cleanup around the rest of the yard, including clearing out some invasive species and thinning out some partially dead shrubs. We mostly let the yard do its own thing last year, and the previous owner of our home died about 6 months before we moved in, so it was probably neglected for a while. I cut out a blackberry cane that was as long as our driveway. I bought a wood chipper and a compost aerator and am learning the art and science of turning yard trash into yard treasure. (I have not peed on my compost pile yet, as recommended by /r/composting. Maybe some day.)

I also adopted a clipping from my sister-in-law's monstera, which has done quite well (except for the parts my cat has taken a mild interest in nibbling on from time to time)

Travel

Probably too much travel this year ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

3 Weddings (4 if you count the one in December '22 that's included in the Conga Line of Nonsense). Got covid at 2 of them. Invited to a fifth next year. Wishing everyone of marriageable age I know IRL a very elope

Trips for work to Winnipeg and Calgary (to which I have never been before, but are both underwhelming). Also got to fly on a floatplane for the first time, which is noisy, but the views are unbeatable

I turned 30 this year, and after the Conga Line of Nonsense, I said fuck it, we're going back to Japan for my birthday. 2 weeks, 8 cities. L: Shimanami Kaido cycle (still somehow 30 degrees in September x full sun x forgot sunscreen x 80km = pain) (my husband has proofread this and insists that this is not an L but agree to disagree) W: Hokkaido (beautiful scenery, incredible food, not 30 degrees in September lmao)

It was a normal night.. oh, well, it looked so...

"Hush!!.. Jiro! Shut up..!! Or Ichi-nii will be discovered!", Saburo said with an hushed voice. Jiro looked at him and then at Ichiro, who was already standing under mc's balcony. "S-sorry..-", he muttered before moving his attention to his older brother. Ichiro looked so happy and even slightly anxious. It was night, but not too late- about 10 pm- when he made a gesture to his brothers and turned on a small speaker, linked to a mic. Saburo helped setting everything, while Jiro decided to add a more romantic atmosphere by putting some flowers around the area where Ichiro was standing. The brothers could see the lights in the apartment being all turned off, sign that mc was probably already sleeping. Ichiro smiled looking at the balcony. "Perfect", he muttered before seeing Saburo and Jiro hiding behind a corner. The youngest brother nodded and, since it was finally already the right moment, he started the instrumental. The speakers started letting out a soft and lovely sound. Ichiro looked anxious as his hands gripped the mic even harder. His green and red eyes shook in hesitation but his lips smiled softly. He could feel his heart beating so fast, just like if it was beating into his throat, so he breathed deeply before starting singing:

"When your legs don't work like they used to before And I can't sweep you off of your feet"

His eyes met Jiro's and Saburo's ones as both his younger brothers made thumbs up to give him more courage. Ichiro's voice could be heard in the emptiness of the night, as it echoed. He hoped in deep that his feelings could reach mc's heart just like those words would have reached their ears.

"Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks"

It didn't pass much, and Ichiro could see the lights of mc's apartment turning on suddenly. His heart, which was already beating fast, started racing even more. He could even feel his grip tightening on the mic and his hands getting sweaty due to his intense emotions. His eyes sparkling while waiting to see the person he had completely fallen for.

"And darling I will be loving you 'til we're 70 And baby my heart could still fall as hard at 23"

His voice was slightly shaking, but it wasn't that evident as his heart was racing still. His eyes opened wide as he could see a shape from behind the curtains opening the window and going out the balcony. It was mc, wearing their pj, their cute and soft hair messy and their eyes still sleepy. They looked at Ichiro, at all those flowers on the floor around him and at the speaker with a confused and surprised expression. Their pink lips softly parted and their sleepy eyes opened widely. Ichiro was sure their cheeks were blushing too. He kept singing his heart for them, hoping mc would understand:

"And I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways Maybe just the touch of a hand Oh me I fall in love with you every single day And I just wanna tell you I am"

Ichiro closed his eyes while singing those words. And.. they weren't leaving his throat, but heart. At each heartbeat, a lovely word was leaving his chest, making all the scene look even more warm and romantic. Mc had their sparkling eyes still open wide, their lips still parted in disbelief. They were understanding that warm feeling that was leaving Ichiro's heart and getting to theirs.. they were understanding what all that situation meant.. they did.

"So honey now Take me into your loving arms Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars"

Jiro looked at Saburo smiling in approvation just as the youngest Yamada brother did, holding his phone still, while the instrumental was being played. "Nii-chan is going amazingly!", Jiro whispered proudly and Saburo just nodded, keeping his eyes on Ichiro. The love the 19 years old young man was feeling while singing could be felt even by all the people who were now standing out of their balconies or apartments to look at what was happening. The people were smiling softly, realizing it was a serenade, a sort of confession. Couples like partners, husbands with their wives or even old couples, started hugging and even dancing softly while keeping listening to Ichiro's sweet voice and words:

"Place your head on my beating heart I'm thinking out loud"

He was definitely building a romantic scene, a wholesome and melting-heart one, as mc's eyes were still sparkling from up their balcony. They could even see their neighbours gesturing them to go downstairs to reach Ichiro. An old couple even smiled at them as to tell mc: "come on, sweetheart, go to him!". Mc looked at Ichiro one last time before, feeling their chest warming up, they let go of the balcony railing. They went back inside and disappeared for a few seconds. Ichiro blushed and kept singing, realizing that it was a matter of minutes until he would feel mc close to him.

"Maybe we found love right where we are"

His eyes opened wide as he saw mc appearing at their apartment's door, standing there shyly and wearing a coat over their pj. Their hair looked still messy but adorable as they shyly tried to move a lock behind their ear as the song went on. There were people standing and looking at them too. Soon mc moved their feet slowly but with confidence towards Ichiro, who was still holding the mic. Ichiro was smiling brightly, just like if he had seen the most beautiful thing in his life. But.. it was the truth, after all.. Even if mc wasn't wearing fancy, but their simple pj, even if their hair was messy, even if their eyes looked sleepy, even if they wore their slippes.. Mc was the most beautiful person he had ever seen in his life. He had a surprise look and, when mc was in front of him, he smiled at them and kissed their forehead: "You're.... you're so beautiful..", he only managed to mutter before feeling mc's arms around his torso and their head against his chest. Their sweet eyes closed up and Ichiro hugged them back only to keep singing his love out of his heart:

"Oh baby, we found love right where we are.."

While the people were dancing with them too, Ichiro could see Saburo and Jiro looking at them smiling warmly and supportingly. Jiro moved his lips: "Kiss them, Nii-chan!", Saburo nodded: "Do it, Ichi-nii!". Ichiro smiled and delicately moved his left hand from mc's hair to their chin, lifting their face softly, just enough to look into their eyes. It was the right moment to kiss them... His right hand was still holding the mic. His face got closer and his nose touched mc's, as he finished singing:

"And we found love right where we are"

Mc could see Ichiro's eyes so close and sparkling. His eyes were showing true love as his hand slid to their cheek just to caress it with his thumb. He moved his lips closer just to give them a soft and sweet kiss on their pink lips. As he gave them that soft kiss, he whispered: "I love you, mc.. I really do..", and gave them another kiss, this time longer and more passionate. All the people on the balconies and around them started cheering on the couple, just like Saburo and Jiro did by clapping their hands. The two brothers gave each other a high five at the sight of Ichiro and mc's happiness. Mc wrapped their arms around him just to hold him closer.

"We really found love... we did..", Ichiro whispered to mc's ear.

So much to see, so much to do, so little time ! Lucky for you, here in the Valparaíso Region, we keep track of it just for you ! Unless stated otherwise, these activities are optional. Residents do not have to take part in these if they don't wish to ! These can be used for threads throughout the month but new threads can't be started for these activities once the month is up. Casablanca Activities

June 1: Happy Pride! Inherited Escapes is hosting an LGBTQIA+ Book Fair and Party from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM! There will be local organizations there passing out their event flyers and giving info on volunteer opportunities. Light snacks and hand food will be served with melón de vino, a refreshing and light alcoholic drink ( no one under 18 will be allowed entry ). Local vendors will also be there selling wares and trinkets. Lastly, but surely not least, a curated collection of books featuring queer protagonists written by queer authors will be for sale.

June 11: Inesperado will be hosting an open mic night from 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM to celebrate and pair with the chef and owner's unveiling of their new winter menu! Anyone in the restaurant can take a chance to win the audience over, but there will also be a list of performers and talent. Inesperado's new winter menu will be a twist on traditional beloved and nostalgic meals served by their own parents and grandparents, and they're excited to share with you how they've translated their sweet memories into delicious warm food for the winter season. And, as always, ingredients will be local and fresh!

June 23: World renowned Mexican cellist and writer Carlos Prieto will be performing at Agustín's Jazz Lounge from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM! Born in Mexico City, Prieto has received critical acclaim globally, with magazines, newspapers, and fellow musicians raving that he knows "no technical limitations" and whose "musical instincts are impeccable". Come see his genius, his talent, and his love for music. Light food and beverage wfill be provided.

June 26: Dulce Sueño's Sweets & Treats has whipped up something akin to a winter wonderland in their shop! The chocolate world and the Dulce Sueño staff have been hard at work experimenting, researching, and cooking up new chocolate flavors and concoctions that will be replacing some old favorites ( and hopefully become new favorites )! From 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM, Dulce Sueño invites the community to come and taste all the goodies they have to offer and help decide what new goods should be added to the shop! Free samples will be provided, and you can still buy baked goods ( even of the new ones ! ) while supplies last.

Quilpué Activities

June 1-8 : Devon Baxter ( @alkaliineee ) of Gimnasio 02 Aire will be offering a week of free membership as well as 2 free personal training sessions with him or a trainer of your choice! Whatever strength, endurance, or conditioning goals you have, the dedicated people of Gimnasio 02 Aire can help you get there!

June 3: Casa Dragones is collaborating with the Kings and Queens of the Valparaíso Region to bring you Dungeons and Drag! Each D&D table will have either a Drag King or Queen as their DM or as a party member, and each table with have a max of 6 players. Games will run from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM. To participate, please visit the website ASAP to register online as spots are limited. All proceeds will go to LGBTQIA+ charities and organizations. If you don't want to play, that's a-okay, as the games will be streamed online!

June 5: It is International Fight Against IUU Fishing ( Illegal, Unreported, & Unregulated )! Every year, as much as 26 million tons of fish are taken illegally from the world's seas. Quilpué Zoo is dedicated to sustainability and environmentally friendly programs, and they are inviting you and your family to the zoo ( for free! ) on this special day to learn more about sustainability, ethical fishing practices, and about the creatures that live in the sea and the mysteries of the oceans themselves! The presentation will be hosted by Rohan Kaur ( @driftwccds ) from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM, with face-painting and caricature drawings done by Hiyori Ito ( @pcrdidcs ) from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM!

June 9: El Jardín is looking for volunteers to help clean up the outside garden for the winter and prune and harvest the greenhouse garden while staff members install new benches, swings, and vendor stands. Volunteers are needed from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, but you can work shifts of 4 hours instead. Breakfast, lunch, and water will be provided, as well as a t-shirt and magnet to thank volunteers for their time.

June 19: Sabor 24 Horas is hosting a cooking class—but this isn't just any cooking class! This is their Midnight Snack Cooking Class, running from 11:30 PM - 1:00 AM, and they'll teach you all the yummy snacks, meals, and drinks you can make when you wake up in the middle of the night feeling peckish.

Valparaíso Activities

June 10: The Historic Quarter will have an open air art exhibit called Maquinaciones. From 12:00 AM - 12:00 AM, you can come see how local artists have interpreted theme of machinations in today's world of AI, technology, and productivity, and how it often clashes with the world around us. Pictures and videos are allowed, but please do not touch the art pieces unless it's an interactive piece and otherwise stated.

June 12: La Universidad de Bellas Artes is hosting a networking event for their students from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Vendors, companies, and recruiters from the Valparíso Region ( and maybe beyond! ) are coming to offer information about their business, to scope out the upcoming graduating classes and work force, or just to simply network and make connections! Only students from UBA will be allowed to attend. Please come dressed in business professional with multiple copies of your resume to pass out to interested parties.

June 14: The Parque Cultural is having a speed painting competition with the local art club to encourage new members and new artists to join the hobby or practice their skills, or even offer a place for veteran and established artists to test their skills under pressure! From 7:00 - 8:00 PM, you will be competing against other artists to paint a piece in 20 minutes in front of an audience. The audience will vote on who goes to the next round, and after 3 rounds, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will receive a cash prize ( and bragging rights! ).

June 15-16: The Fish Frenzy Aquarium is hosting their first ever Reptile and Aquarium Expo from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM both Saturday and Sunday. Hobbyists from all over the region will be coming to showcase a variety of reptiles, fish, and other exotic pets and pet food. Come pick up your new best friend today!

Viña del Mar Activities

June 1-29: For the entire month of Pride, Club Divine is having a Reverse Happy Hour every Saturday night from 9:00 PM - 12:00 AM. Each Saturday will have a new drink and snack menu, so come thirsty and ready to eat!

June 2: Club Divine is invites you to a Queen Brunch! From 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Club Divine will have a brunch buffet ( catered by Sabor 24 Horas ), half-off margaritas and mimosas, and a Drag Show. Come celebrate Pride with your favorite friends and your favorite Queens!

June 20: Unmingled Singles is hosting their event at the Casino de Viña del Mar! If you're free on a Thursday night, come out between the hours of 8:00 PM - 1:00 AM and take a gamble on love.

June 22: Calling out Gearheads and Revheads! Bring your sweet rides to the Golden Beach Street Parking Lot and show off what you've got under the hood from 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM!

June 28: The Diver's Group is taking a winter intermission from diving in the cold Pacific waters, but that doesn't mean members can't meet up and have fun! From 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM, they're hosting a s'mores making night on the picturesque sands of Playa Luna. You do not have to be a member to join ( s'mores making kits will only be provided for free to members; non-members are welcome to bring their own or purchase them from the group ). Anyone under 21 will not be allowed to attend.
