someone tell me to calm down i’ve created like four skk/bsd aus in the past week. we’ve got:

-the skk arranged marriage au inspired by the singular episode I watched of Queen Charlotte on Netflix

-the theatre troupe au inspired by my own experience in school/community theatre

-the arcane au I came up with yesterday because chuuya is vi and I’m correct.

-the pokemon au that I have thought so much abt i could talk abt it forever

BONUS: sk8 au. i haven’t thought over this much yet but like. you see my vision.

I plan to write and post all of them, one of them actually has three chapters written at 12k already lmao. well just have to seeeeee

METROID SIDE OF TUMBLR I HAVE THE DUMBEST IDEA

Event that takes place way before Zero Mission

Samus is a young (like, 15-ish?) Communications Officer who gets stranded on a planet that’s being used as a sort of spare base for the Space Pirates. With the rest of the crew terminated and the ship being captured by the Space Pirates, Samus must traverse the land, reclaim the space-craft and most importantly: Face off against the various hostile lifeforms that roam this terrain.

Some things to note if you plan on making this dumb idea a thing:

- I’m thinking Fusion/Samus Returns/Dread styled game

- Ridley will most DEFINITELY be in this, most probably small cameos leading up to him being the Final Boss?

- The Metroids itself might make a appearance, probably later??

- Samus Aran is somewhat capable of fighting? Also, she talks, but not that much. Only in short sentences (6-8 words max, we don’t do the other m constant dialogue nonsense here), and the occasional noises. Think of it like a how persona mc is mostly silent. Somewhat childish and a bit too trigger-happy. (She would probably rapid fire some alien while yelling “DIE” repeatedly to no avail-)

- She would probably have those GF advanced soldier suits at the start and gain the Power suit sometime later (no Varia suit, sorry-), other than that I have no idea what the third suit she gains after that would be.

- There would be small camps previous Galactic Federation members set up around the areas which act as Save Stations/ Map Stations

- The final area would be the Space Pirate base that’s on the planet

The planet name, other inhabitants, and areas I have no ideas on what they are but the name of this idea of mine?

Actually ontop of the hair dyed their magic and wearing their colours, what is they’re exact colours for their magic??? Because I think you have a very pacific color shade, is it one shade or is they’re magic have its own palette? If you do have a very certain colour and/or palette could I maybe perhaps have them? So I can do more accurate ideas I’ve had and semi shared, but asked permission for, please? Share if you can do I can like do colour picker or the # for the colours and use that way, if! It’s okay and you have it! If not it’s totally cool.

Ok So I whipped these up super fast and I am stating now they are subject to change but they're a good starting point I think. Also if a creator has a colour palette for their skeleton use that. As I said these were made very quickly and I think some need to be a bit brighter. I tried to limit it to four colors but some have five and some are shared between brothers if they have similar color palettes and the skeletons who have the same color palettes are just included in those ones. Also some of these are really similar but there are difference and I've included bone color on them. In saying all that do whatever you want XD I know I won't get upset if a shade is wrong, do what you think looks best. ok here ya go:

The Qindeyims

Long ago, a powerful diviner discovered that the level 15 (highest skill level) adventurers (general term for someone who studies skills like magic, fighting, etc) running around would lead to the end of the world. The diviner figured out the best way to get everyone to behave was to create a group with two purposes: one, to make rules that prevent someone from trying to take over everything, and two, to prevent dangerous individuals from getting too powerful.

This lead to the founding of the Qindeyims. The diviner gathered as many level 15 adventurers they could and they all agreed to behave, or the other Qindeyims will go kick their a--. Of course, this doesn't mean they all get along, but it does prevent world domination.

(Basically, if you're trying to destroy or control the world, the Qindeyims will go stop you. Other than that, they don't have to do anything)

They also restricted information of how to become a higher skill level than 10, to prevent baddies from doing too much

“Number Seven is…falling behind the others.” Dr. Ellis reported, looking down at her clipboard, “The other subjects are advancing while he continues to drag behind the others. He is also a bit…too emotional. Every time we try to get him to do the tests, he is only able to focus so much before he has a panic attack or he stops.”

Dr. Martin Brenner listened intently as they looked at the test subject in question through the one way mirror, Seven struggling to crush the soda can on the table in front of him. Big brown eyes had been filled with frustrated tears, the doctor supervising him wrote down notes, gently encouraging Seven to keep trying. When he doesn’t get it, Seven lets out a sound of frustration, eyes clenching shut as the vein popped in his forehead, the doctor now gently reassuring him to try some other time. That it was okay if he couldn’t do it right now. The doctor didn’t want him to hurt himself trying too hard, blood dripping from his nose.

“Has he presented yet?” Dr. Brenner asked curiously, “Perhaps he is about to and his hormones are messing with his abilities…”

“He hasn’t yet, but he is showing signs of possibly presenting as an Omega. The one orderly caught him nesting underneath his bed.” Dr. Ellis reported.

Dr. Brenner hummed, “Interesting,” He stroked his chin in thought, watching as Seven managed to crush the can at last, “Perhaps…I can arrange something else for him. How is One progressing?”

“One is ahead of the rest, naturally. He has gone through all the tests with flying colors. And he is newly presented as an Alpha.” Dr. Johnson reported, looking at his own clipboard as he read off One’s results, “Though, he is still aggressive and stubborn at times…why?”

Dr. Brenner hummed once more, “I believe…I have a solution for both of those issues…perhaps once Seven presents…we can get another program started. Do something about our lack of volunteers for the acquisition of test subjects…”

“Dr. Brenner…” Dr. Ellis began, unsure if she was hearing correctly, “Are you…are you suggesting we pair One and Seven to…to make more test subjects?”

Dr. Brenner looked to her, “That is exactly what I am suggesting.”

I gave max and mike she\him pronouns. El has they\them pronouns. max and lucas are bi, mike and will are gay and el's a lesbian. dustin is the token straight.

so far only max and lucas are dating but el has a crush on max. will and mike live in a apartment together (we'll see how this goes 👀) and the rest of the party lives next door.

there starting uni soon. I can't wait to see what drama follows...

I do sort of wish western anime fans would analyze anime and manga from a framework of japanese historical and cultural context. Specifically a lot of works from the 90s being influenced by the general aimlessness and ennui that a lot of people were experiencing due to the burst in the bubble economy and the national trauma caused by the sarin terrorist attack. I think in interacting with media that’s not local to our sociocultural/sociopolitical sphere it’s easy to forget that it’s influenced and shaped by the same kinds of factors that influence media within our own cultural dome and there ends up being this baseline misalignment of perception between the causative elements of a narrative and viewer interpretation of those elements. It’s a form of death of the author that i think, in some measure, hinders our ability to fully understand/come to terms with creator intent and the full scope of a work’s merits
