“Babe? Can you get me a soda from the fridge, please.” Minho’s shouts are muffled by the thick wooden door of his office but Y/n understood it nonetheless.

She takes small steps, her abdomen aching. She opens the refrigerator door, softly humming a song that pops in her mind. She vaguely remembers a gas station, two annoyed younger siblings in the car, and a steaming engine.

She chuckles, her warm hands touch the cold soda and she shivers. She takes a mental note not to leave her blanket anywhere on days when 40 millimeters of blood is gushing out of her vagina because of her uterus shedding some stupid lining that was prepared for a dumb fetus.

Y/n grumbles when she nears his door, wiping her numbing hand on her shirt then reaching for the door handle when it bursts open and she crashes with an excited Minho.

“Baby- oof!” He squeals, left hand finding her waist while the other grabs the falling soda can that’s about to crash to the floor.

She thanks the gods who gave Minho good reflexes, but curses the one who made him have a habit of not paying attention when opening doors.

“Oh dear, are you okay, hun?” He stabilizes her, his right hand tucking a stray hair that fell to her face. He cups her cheek and she melts to her boyfriend’s touch, leaning in.

He’s soft and passionate with the kiss, despite her neediness. Y/n lets out a whimper, the feeling of a sword stabbing and jabbing right on her abdomen and through her lower back engulfs her senses.

These cramps are messing her up, and yet again she takes a mental note not to miss her monthly chamomile tea before the ‘red’ curse enters (more like violently exits) her body.

“Hah, just peachy.” She huffs out before kissing him again, now biting gently at his lower lip.

“Nngh.” A soft noise slips out of his lips before he can stop it and Y/n stops kissing him, instead staring at him with disbelief etched on her face.

She stifles a laugh, preventing a gush that threatens to stain her pants. “Min?”

He smiles, laughing. This is her first time hearing him being vocal from a kiss, after all that’s always been her job. “Oh come on. You were biting me!” He defends and the look he has is enough to send her to the ground cackling.

“You’re too cute.” She manages to choke out as he pulls her up to carry her, settling her down on the couch. “Mmh, are you spending time with me instead of doing work because of my period situation?”

He nods, rushing to his office, she hears him shuffling around. Probably looking for his phone she thinks, turning her attention to the tv and realizing she doesn’t know where the remote is. “Min.” She calls for him, not wanting to move from her spot on the couch. “Lee Minho, where did you put the tv remote?” She finally shouts, head lifting to go look at what he’s doing in the other room.

He suddenly pops up behind the couch giving her a mini heart attack.

“Oh yeah.” He chuckles apologetically, “I left it in my room, here.” Minho holds her hand in his, giving her the remote.

Y/n smiles, patting the space next to her. Her boyfriend mirrors her, his lips tugging upwards. He lets his bunny slippers fall off his feet as he snuggles beside her, his back on the couch, his chest pressed against her own.

“Good?” He asks, running a hand through her ruffled hair.

“Mmh, as long as you’re here.”

10 minutes later she sees the doorknob of her front door turn, panic digs its claws on her throat and lungs, until she sees Hyunjin by the door. “Uh… Minho hyung, here are the things you asked for.”

He sheepishly grins, demeanor shy from intruding your cuddle time. “I hope you feel better, Y/n noona.”

After Minho thanks him, Hyunjin bows a few more times before exiting your apartment and locking it with his, seemingly, own set of keys.

“Did you give Hyunjin your keys? Is that why you’re always locked out of your own home?” You tease and he playfully pouts.

“Oh, come on. You know you love helping a damsel in distress.” He jokes, cupping your face and leaving butterfly kisses all over.

You shy away, shifting your attention to the plastic of food Hyunjin brought. “Let’s eat,” you say, eager to taste Hyunjin’s cooking after not having his dishes for a long time.

Your boyfriend nods, standing up to get the plastic, two plates, two pairs of silverware and mugs. “Want the imported tea or the, uh,” he pauses, reading the small writing on the tea bag but not finding the name of the actual tea.

“Chamomile babe, thank you.” You answer, pulling the blanket by your feet over you. “Lamig naman, kakaiyak.” You sigh, complaining about the cold and half expecting him to turn the temperature a bit higher.

“What’s that, baby girl?” He hums from the kitchen, “You know I don’t understand the language, sorry.” He apologizes genuinely, feeling a bit guilty you’re learning korean but he isn’t making an effort to learn your language.

“It’s alright, Min. I’m sorry I didn’t notice, I said I’m cold.” You reply in a nonchalant tone, you don’t care at all, it’s not like he’ll be going to the country, and besides you only learned korean because you were going to the country.

When he finishes fixing you a cup of tea, he brings it to the table in the living room. Setting up everything else for your comfort, and not letting you do anything.

“Alright let’s watch that movie you keep talking about!” He starts excitedly, caressing your cheek before turning to the food and tv.

You relax the rest of the day, receiving absolute princess treatment from Minho. At the end of the day you’ve been pampered with kisses and lulled to sleep with cuddles.

I only wish they released an ep instead of an extended single only cause I want more songs but I understand this is probably to test the market out and they’ll release more later similar to what IVE did.

If you want to hear someone serving VOCALs, more ballads, and songs in nearly fully Korean then you should definitely check out his release I think you’ll love it. JUMP immediately made me think of anime end credits so if you’re into that look into that song specifically.

Comments: The big plus of this album was being able to look at his side profile at the red lights. All jokes aside I did like this release, also very happy that it was a full album instead of an ep/mini album. I’m hoping more groups/soloists move towards longer albums as someone who typically buys albums for the music, I prefer it cause it feels I get more bang for my buck. The grey hearts are because those were just instrumentals really but I did put the Mom’s interlude higher as I thought it was sweet he included her. I did really like righteous which I couldn’t fully put my finger on why, I did like the acapella beginning which I think would be really interesting to see live. 1999 was also fun, part of the chorus was just a little repetitive which can work I just don’t always prefer. I think I might give this a relisten in a week or so just to try it again but currently those are the 4 songs I really like.

Comments: I think this was the one release that the ranking changed so drastically on a second listen. I don’t know how to feel about Design I liked it first listen, didn’t second, then sort of liked it on third. Idk what else to really say in it. I did really like Silly Dance and 1000, those were very fun songs I really enjoyed listening to them. Melt in your mouth grew on me a little so I’m going to give it a try in my kpop playlist. poppop was okay I just wasn’t wowed but the chorus, I wish it was more like the intro/end of the chorus where it had more bass to it. It feels wrong having it so low but something really felt like a bottom song here. I think Still 3am and Design can grow more on me I did like them I’m just on the fence regarding how often I would play them but I’m leaning towards listening to this release more and see how I feel.

Comments: I thought it was going to be a more singular consistent sound as the first three songs all sounded like they came off the same branch but was pleasantly surprised when it switched up around track 4: Ridin. I don’t mind a singular sound throughout a release if done well but much prefer it to switch up at least a little. Something I did really like in Pressure was the stop in the Inst at the chorus which I thought was cool. Wait for Me’s rap verse confused me first listen as my brain thought it wasn’t Kai and I got confused but that’s just a funny aside. I really liked the drum usage in Ridin and in Off and Away, I’m a fan of bass and drum use so it was nice to see. It was also interesting to have that electric sound (synth maybe) in Ridin. Off and Away felt more like an African sound to it, like Tyla that was my first thought. I did agree that Adult Swim isn’t the best of the songs but it’s still good and I just wasn’t feeling flighty to Paris.

Comments: Not every release needs a slow song, Le Sserafim’s Crazy is also a perfect example of this as it is a big disconnect from the rest of the album sound wise. I personally didn’t think Promise You worked well sound wise compared to the others but that’s my personal taste, if you like the slower songs in albums then I happy for you. TAKEOVER became a surprise favorite as their vids lowkey invaded my FYP and I’m not mad. Them and ALLHOURS are two groups that I really want to listen too more now after reviewing their releases. I think the best descriptor of their sound is noise music I believe which I personally really love especially when done well which I do believe happened here. Funny story Passports was added to my playlist “twerk songs if I could twerk”, just thought it was a funny aside to add.

Comments: cosmosy is great I love the song, it’s a different vibe compared to zigy=zigy but I’m not complaining it sounds amazing. Good Dayis also fun and I heard it’s for charity as well! I can’t put my finger on what song Loose reminds me of but either way I really liked it. Drama Queen reminded me a lot of Alice, who I listen too, on first listen so I’ll definitely be checking LOVEONE out more. Atlas’s song was nice I liked it but don’t have much else to say, same with Oh My; Fun, not much else to say. Jeff Satur is one of the few singers that can get me to listen to ballads, his voice is amazing. With Vital Check I mostly like the chorus compared to the versus but I do like it enough to listen to it more. Rose is the type of Jpop song that I would definitely listen to one of the singers lowkey reminded me of ado for some reason. I was expecting to like Bang Out more but didn’t for some reason but I do think it’s good along with their slower b-side. Burn was also nice just didn’t like the Inst as much. S1ren’s song is also nice I do recommend checking them out I just didn’t like it enough though I do want to check out their other stuff. Want felt to surface level for me I just wasn’t feeling to lyrics, similar to Katseye’s song debut. I just didn’t really like VVS’s debut, I didn’t care for TEA personally and the slang usage in FACT$ put me off however if your looking for a girl crush sound then you should check it out. I’m very happy to see We;Na not use AI this time and Keep Going On really gives anime end credits sound which I like.

Sweet Potato & White Bean Mini Pot Pies 🥧🥧🥧

What you need: 

1 med sweet potato (1/2 lb) diced into 1/4 in cubes, 

2 tbl neutral oil, 

6 oz of mushrooms quartered, 

1  medium onion finely chopped, 

2 celery stalks finely chopped, 

1 can white beans (15 oz can) drained & rinsed, 1 tbl Italian seasoning, 

2 tsp fresh thyme chopped, 

1/3 cup arrowroot powder, 

1 cup vegan ch’kn broth, 

1/2 cup non dairy milk, 

1/2 cup water, 

3 tbl nutritional yeast, 

1 sheet of vegan puff pastry 

What you do:

1️⃣On parchment lined baking sheet, drizzle oil & s/p  over sweet potato. Roast at 425 till tender & caramelized, flipping to ensure even roasting. Then set aside

2️⃣While potatoes are roasting, melt oil over medium heat, add mushrooms, onions, & celery sauté until onions are golden & water has been released from mushrooms 7-10 min

3️⃣Add thyme, Italian seasoning, & beans. Heat till fragrant. 1-2 min

4️⃣Gradually add arrowroot till veggies and beans are coated

5️⃣ Add broth, nondairy milk, nutritional yeast & water. Bring to a boil on high heat while stirring. Lower heat to medium

6️⃣Add sweet potato & peas.Turn off heat 

7️⃣While filling cools, prepare your pastry

8️⃣ On a floured surface gently roll out pastry sheet. Cut into 4-5 in squares (5 ct) 

9️⃣ Divide filling between 1 cup ramekins (5 ct) , cover with pastry, making a slit in the center of pastry so heat can escape. Place pies on a baking tray. Bake at 425 F for 20-25 minutes till crust is golden. Enjoy!!

Oh so easy: teal! I've been wanting to dye my hair for a while actually but 1- I'm afraid of destroying my hair with bleach if I try to do it myself and 2- I have so much hair that getting it done professionally would probably come at the small price of my left kidney

It's so sad that I literally can't remember the last time I properly cooked?? I live in a share house with nightmare roommates that leave my kitchen looking like a war zone (whatever you're picturing, it's worse) so I don't go in there anymore because I'm fairly sure it's toxic to sentient lifeforms. Most of my meals consist of whatever I can make in a rice cooker or toaster oven with stuff I can keep in a mini fridge in my room.

But since that's basically what this question is: A very good one is just chicken and rice. Get yourself one of those pre-made grocery store chickens, some chicken/vegetable stock, and some ginger (oh and rice, don't forget that bit). Now prep the rice and cover in broth, put a couple slices of ginger in, shred some of that chicken and put it on top, and cook the whole thing on a whatever your normal rice cooker setting is. Once it's out mix in a little sesame oil and tada! Dinner!

Comments: I love that they debuted with an album and it’s 10 songs at that. It’s not hitting the minimum requirement only which I personally love. It’s one of my fav things about Stray Kids where their mini albums are 8 songs and full albums are 15 so Newbeat debuting with a 10 song album, J love it. If you like more hip hop songs I suggest listening to the Intro, Flip the coin, HICCUPS, and JeLLo(Sleepers). For more pop songs I suggest Sounds like money, FLY, and We are Young. Wonder is a slower, not Ballad just slower, song very vocal heavy so if you like that I suggest it. I’m really excited to see what they do this debut showing a solid about of versatility with pop and hip hop sound to it was really interesting. I’m curious which one they’ll stick too or if it’ll change per comeback like how I hear that StayC goes from Girl Crush to Bubblegum pop and back.

Comments: I feel like this comeback has the same misfortune for me as rockstar, IVE SWITCH, and armeggedon which is having to follow up my all time favorite releases of those groups (crazy, 5-star, IVE MINE, and drama respectively). With Hot (the song) it was similar to easy where neither of them bad I just wasn’t crazy about them, same with ash though that one I might grow to like more it is a very nice song. I love So Cynical and Come Over I’m actually really happy Come Over seems to be a promoted B-Side this comeback it’s great from my knowledge the people who did that jungle song that went viral before helped produce or write it which makes sense as it did remind me of it. I’m also really happy with how consistent this album feels like it all felt like it went together. My one issue with Crazy was that the ballad song didn’t feel like it matched the tone of the rest of the ep (I would’ve liked it better if there was another song that was slower that 1-800-Hot-N-Fun and Crazier so it felt like less of a drastic change) so having Hot be more consistent with the sound was very nice. I’m not a fan of spoken word songs that much so Born Fire is last.

Met the most charming gal on a flight this morning and was showing her all of my "Disney Dinner and a Movie" meal traditions on IG. So in honor of her, I am posting my top 3 meals with instructions on how to accomplish each. For ease, I am including amazon links to specialty items you may need

Tips: There are a few tips to make the meals extra special.

✨️Try to incorporate some decor for each meal so it seems more in theme.

✨️Before everyone starts eating, introduce the names of each dish to the "eaters" so they can relate the movie to what their meal is.

- prepare traditional bow tie pasta according to box, after cooked and drained top with your favorite marinara sauce and fresh grated parm cheese.

- I used Pilsbury refrigerated pizza dough in the can. Rolled it out thin and used a dog bone cookie cutter to make the "bones". Laid them on a cookie sheet and brushed butter over the top before baking to golden brown.

- prepared frozen peas with butter

- For the yogurt parfait, I used whatever flavor yogurt you choose and add a drop of blue food color to make it "sky" colored. Add 3 dollops of whipped cream to the sides to represent clouds and then pour an abundance of the cake decorating balls in the center to look like little balloons from the top.

🎈A simple thing to do is add bunches of helium balloons around the room

🎈Use colorful gumballs in small glass dishes to represent balloons and set them around the space

🎈make a Garland out of pom pom balls, just a simple one to drape around the TV area or a central space in the room where you are watching movie

🎈Activity you could do is have children make their own UP balloon bunches by using different cored ink pads and their finger prints to make a balloon bunch. Print out the "house" image, cut it out and paste it at the bottom of your strings to attach it to the house.

How to:

- I purchased my favorite pre-prepared pulled pork and put on mini slider buns. My kids don't like relish or slaw but you could top with either. For an "adult" version try fried pickels or fried onions on top!

- My kids ONLY like broccoli roasted. I take fresh or frozen Broccoli Florrets and spread onto a cookie sheet. I drizzle with olive oil and add sea salt. Roast broccoli at 450 degrees for about 20 min or until it gets crispy.

- Personally, I love the John Legand recipe for Mac and Cheese home made. Linked here, I have made it for years! Of course, most kids prefer the Kraft Mac and Cheese brand so that is always an option too.

- my "jungle juice" is just a Berry or fruit punch blend of juices. I don't love the kids to have a lot of sugar with dinner that we are having a dessert so I added a little orange flavored water with the juice to keep it fruity but "water it down".

- Oh Banana Pudding!! I love this easy recipe!!! Its no bake and fluffy. I get "fancy" with the decorating of the Nilla Wafers.

- I added a garnish of Sliced pinapple stacked for looks and added a red cherry to give it a pop of color.

Decor:

🐵 It's fun to incorporate decor ON the plates. I made leaves out of green construction paper. You could easily use a silk tropical plant leaf or flower on the side of the dish to accent food.

🐵 The Dollar Tree has some great cheap decor. You can get little jungle animals to set on the table or even these wall decals that can be placed directly on the TV Trays, table, counter or coffee table.

🐵 If you wanted to get real crazy, you could hang green crepe streamers from the ceiling that will help add a "jungle" feel!!

Activity:

- Make Placemats!! Use a peice of green construction paper and have the kids decorate the "placemat" with Jungle themed stickers!! They can put their name at the top and set on their tray to eat off of.

How to:

- I used Pilsbury Crescent Rolls, unrolled from package and wrapped the hot dogs in the crescents. I used 2 "rolls" per hot dog, then Sliced them before plating them.

- You can do any version of spiral pasta. I personally enjoy the Kraft "pasta salad" kits. Easy to make and the kids enjoy.

- Again, pretty self explanatory just made simple fruit kabobs on bamboo skewers. You can use any fruit or berries that your family prefers.

- You can take any veggies your kiddos will eat to make a salad. Mine don't like dressing so I served it without but make it customized to your family. You can even just do carrots and celery with ranch if your little rabbits don't like lettuce.

- For the Eyore tails, using a full size Pretzel rod was too long so I broke the full rod in half. I melted white chocolate chips and added a few drops of blue food coloring. Drop the end of the Pretzel into the melted chocolate and let dry on a cookie sheet lines with wax or parchment paper. I used brown chocolate melted to drizzle onto the blue for extra decor but you could easily use some brown jimmies sprinkles for texture. I added the NOT edible pink bows at the end with a dollop of chocolate to fasten.

- Remember the cereal highly advertised in the 90s, Honey Comb? They still exist!! I made the traditional "Rice Krispy Treat" recipe but subbed the rice crispys for the Honey Comb. Because the cereal is a little bigger, you need to add more marshmallows and butter to get them fully coated. Here is a great recipe for Rice Krispy treats...

Decor:

🐝 Since the movie is set in the 100 Acre Wood, bring in natural elements! Have some fresh cut flowers in a vase and even feel free to bring in some wood branches to set around.

- Since Pooh loves honey, it might be a fun activity to learn more about Bees! Try planting a pollinator flower with your kiddos. While you are planting talk about how bees help make the honey! Learning lesson and relatable activity. At most Plant and Garden centers you can purchase tiny small flower pots and potting soil. Look for these little annuals that are also good pollinators that will be in single cell plants for easy planting.

Since I founded my brand @stukdesigns a part of the mission has always been to host strong networking and community events for girls & women!
